The next morning came before Weiss even knew it as she started to stretch her tired body. She hadn't even realized she fell asleep as she stared at the roof all night, until she passed out. Still, sleep had proved that it would not be a safe haven for Weiss to escape from the world.

Everytime she closed her eyes, silver ones would stare back at her with disappointment.

After stretches, another masked soldier, the same as the ones that stood guard outside Weiss' room, brought in her breakfast. They left as soon as they arrived, placing it on a small table that had been brought in for her.

The smell was revolting, and it was as tasteless as the food from yesterday, but Weiss still forced herself to eat it. Even if it was poisoned or drugged, her aura should be enough to protect her, not that Weiss believed the Protectorate was planning on it, but it didn't hurt to be cautious just in case.

Weiss sighed softly as she stared at the now empty tray. She felt numb, as if she was just going through the motions. What was she to do? She was an heiress, tossed aside by her Father in favor of Whitley, she was a huntress, now without any Grimm to fight, but she was still Weiss Schnee, without the rest of team RWBY.

Her eyes turned to the door, her guards most likely standing outside, listening in on whatever she did at this very moment. Escaping would be easy, the Arma Gigas could easily tear through the building, allowing Weiss to leave this prison. If she wanted to be discreet, she could even summon just a copy of it's sword, until she found Myrtenaster.

Weiss shook the thoughts out of her head and made her way back to bed, sitting down carefully with her back straight and chin up. It didn't matter that she was in another dimension, she was still a Schnee and would act as such.

"I want to go home." Weiss murmured as she leaned her head backwards as the cold air from the air conditioning helped her relax somewhat. Home wasn't the Schnee Manor, or a physical place persay.

It's wherever Ruby was.

Closing her eyes as she took in a lungful of air, Weiss heard the door open. She opened one eye to get a look at the rude intruder who didn't even bother to knock.

"Good morning Miss Schnee." Armsmaster gave her a curt nod. Surprisingly, he didn't have his scroll, or tablet as the people of this world called them, in his hands.

"Good morning Armsmaster." Weiss said blankly, opening her other eye. She really needed a bath, and to handle personal hygiene, at least her room had a small restroom, which was passable for the moment.

It still made this place feel like a prison.

"Director Piggot of PRT here in Brockton Bay would like to meet you." Armsmaster said as he gave her a look, probably staring at the bags that were under her eyes.

Ah yes, the PRT that supervised the Protectorate, or was it the other way around? Yesterday was a blur, and as much as Weiss loved to study, her brain was filled to the brim with new facts that some were starting to mix.

"Very well." Weiss angled her head slightly as her bangs tried their best to obscure her vision. It felt a bit weird not walking around in her signature ponytail.

"Lead onward."

There first thing Emily noticed when Weiss Schnee walked into her office, wasn't how white her hair was despite being a few decades too young to have that many, or how short the girl actually was when compared to Armsmaster's live stream.

It was the scar that went over her left eye.

"Good morning Miss Schnee, allow me to introduce myself, my name is Emily Piggot, Director of the PRT ENE." Emily said as soon as Schnee took a seat in front of her desk, with Armsmaster standing off to the side.

"A pleasure to meet you, Director Piggot." Weiss said politely, bowing her head ever so slightly. Her light blue eyes didn't reveal anything, and neither did her facial expressions.

"Now that we're done with pleasantries, I would like to say, welcome to Earth, despite the unfortunate circumstances that led to you being stranded here." Emily continued. Schnee's face remained on guard. "Despite your situation being exceedingly rare, the PRT does have experience with those from other dimensions, and as such, have developed protocols for such events."

Schnee remained silent as she flexed her jaw.

"The PRT is here to help you, with anything that you may need. We can have you declared a refugee and give you citizenship within the hour." Chief Director Costa-Brown was going to offer that anyways, just to get the girl a more favorable impression if she didn't decide to join the Protectorate or Wards.

"People don't offer help out of the goodness of their hearts, without wanting something in return." Schnee said with the voice of a businesswoman. "What does the PRT want in return for helping me?"

Emily leaned back in her chair slightly, and pulled out a thin folder from the top drawer attached to her desk. She slid it to the spot in front of Schnee.

"The PRT only wishes for more information about your world, however, we are also willing to offer you employment, such as a position within the Protectorate, complete with salary and lodging." Emily spoke as Weiss started looking through the folder.

"Hunters-"

"Huntsmen, and huntresses. Hunters are a completely different profession that hunt animals that aren't Grimm." Schnee looked up for a brief second, correcting Emily's mistake. "Or humans." Ah yes, they were trained to hunt Grimm, humans, and faunus, those parahumans with animal features, as long as they were criminals.

"After all, huntsmen and huntresses were your world's version of the Protectorate, were they not?" Emily followed up without a beat. She wasn't going to make the same mistake twice.

"From a certain point of view." Weiss said as she closed the folder and slid it back in front of Emily. "Your lawyers are competent, I can say that much, but that's going to have to be rewritten."

"And why is that?" Emily said, hardening her voice, trying her best to remain civil.

"The pay ratio, the rights to decide my public image without too much interference from your PR department…" Weiss shrugged, as her eyes formed a sharp glare.

"And the awakening of aura."

A/N

Another short one sadly. I have already decided between two cape names for Weiss, so I'll probably end up flipping a coin on that.

How she keeps her identity a secret if she decides to do that, or how her costume would look shall be the next couple things I'll have to decide. I'm leaning towards using her Schnee: Hero or Huntress hero outfit. Suggestions are always appreciated!

Weiss is going to have to invest in a lot of wigs.
