Soon-to-be-king Ben has made up his mind and decides to bring over four children from the Isle of the Lost to Auradon with the belief that the children are innocent, despite their parentage. He extends a hand to give them a chance that no one else will. or, descendants 1 rewrite.

When they imprison the world's greatest villains on the Isle, Auradon takes the opportunity to toss in other undesirable elements clogging up the picturesque scenery: cursed objects, dangerous weapons, unlucky magic practitioners, etc. This has consequences. Or: the cursed amulet market on the Isle is FLOODED.

"Mal, calm down," Fairy godmother said noticing how pale the young girl became. "I know you said your dad died, but you and your brothers are radiating far more power than a fae should possess and I just want to help." That didn't seem to help one bit, Olympus couldn't know. They didn't want to share the same fate as their father. "Could we think about it first?" Malachy asked"

They'd thought being in Auradon meant freedom from stress. Freedom from the Isle's dangers and constant starvation. Things King Ben could fix. That Mal could fix. Frederick Frollo has put a dent in those stress-free dreams. Now someone has stolen the scepter and spell book of Maleficent? I always thought that Harry Hook didn't seem like he was related to Captain Hook. And Pirates of the Caribbean is a Disney property, which means the characters could exist in the Descendants universe... On hiatus while working on another project.

When Ben decides to bring a new set of villain kids to Auradon, Mal and her friends are hopeful that they too can change for the better.
