In a world where people with wings exist, they are shunned from the world. Humanity looks down at these unique people as monsters, and think that it's better if the winged people were locked up. One day at the facility, where the winged kind are prisoners, a young blond boy is brought in to join them. But he has a wing different from the rest, a more demon-like wing than angelic.

Reno knows all too well what it means to be owned.

With Midgar now behind them, Cloud and his friends set out on the long, dangerous hunt for Sephiroth, unaware that he plans to use one of their own to change his fated destiny. Pursued by Shinra's forces, Cloud and the others press onward. But the price of victory may be higher than they can possibly imagine. When an unwed mother passes away a few months after his birth, the people of Nibelheim unwittingly give the baby to the research team who lives in the Shinra Mansion... Professor Hojo decides to start a new project to parallel his experiments on Subject S.

Zack and Cloud have made it to Midgar! Starting up a mercenary business is a little difficult, but not as difficult as dealing with memories of Nibleheim burning and subsequent time of prisoners of Hojo. Of course, living in the Slums means it’s only a matter of time before ShinRa’s efforts to restart the War with Wutai boil over and affect innocent lives.

After being transported to a tropical island, Cloud & Tifa meet both new and familiar faces while they try to figure out why they have been sent to this beautiful place, as well as confess their inner most feelings to each other.
