Sonic: Eight Years Later

It's been 8 years since Eggman turned over a new leaf, and life has been mostly peaceful for our blue hero and his friends. Villains still arise occasionally, but they're quickly taken care of. Sonic lives in Emerald Town with most of his friends and shares a house with Miles "Tails" Prower. One thing leads to another and suddenly the entire world knows of his love life.

1. Of Course Rouge Knows

Sonic and Shadow have been secretly seeing each other for a few months now, but they've never made it public or even so much as kissed before. Rouge is the only one who knows, except neither of them is aware of that fact.

It's a sunny day and Shadow is talking with Rouge(26) in the nearby park. "Rouge, I think it's time I tell you about something." Before the black hedgehog could speak again she interrupted him with a deadpan expression. "You and Sonic are dating." He looks at her with shock and confusion. "How did you know?!" "You mumble in your sleep. And your phone password in 1234." He looks at her with shock. Within moments of her saying this the blue hedgehog being mentioned speeds in.

"Hey gays, how's it going?" "Hi Sonic, and you know I'm not gay." The bat replied, glancing at Shadow. "Rouge, there's literally a video of you kissing Blaze." The now grinning hedgehog said. "Looks like your boyfriend is here." The now blushing bat said, attempting to steer the conversation away from that drunken night 2 years ago. Sonic looked at Shadow then back to Rouge, completely flabbergasted. The dark and crimson hedgehog turned to Rouge. "Did you tell her?!" "No, she found out through not so nice means." The speedy hedgehog looked at her with contempt. "You're an asshole, you know that?" "You are what you eat Sonic." She said with a smug grin on her face.

The three of them continued their conversation, increasingly getting off track until the conversation wasn't even related to Shadow and Sonic's relationship. "That's it, I'm done here. Let's go Sonic." Shadow finally said in anger. The two hedgehogs left for Sonic's house, leaving Rouge alone in the park.
