Okay too many people have been sleeping on both For Honor Fanfiction and watching GATE: jieitai kanochi nite kaku tatakaeri, (BTW, that's the actual title, seriously WTF?) So I feel as though I must correct this, especially since I enjoy both. So get ready for a tale of epic battles, daring adventure, an evil shadow returned and one slacker Otaku. This is the tale of how The Men in Green, brought peace.
As I should state: I Own Nothing: Both For Honor and GATE are owned by their own companies.
[Alnus Hill]
After being dragged away from yet another manga convention, almost missing it again, and then reporting back to his squad, Yōji Itami was finally back where he belonged. After receiving his gifts and his punishment, he was now back to leading the 3rd Recon Team. Unfortunately that wasn't what he would call a perfect welcome back present.
When he made it back into their quarters, which was a rather large building in the center of Alnus he made it his first mission to address the team. Who were already in their uniforms, with their weapons stowed away, but their sidearms present on their hip. All were happy in their own way to see their commander back in action after so long.
"Did you get me anything Lieutenant?" Kurata Takeo asked.
Itami shook his head as he was dragged by his own entourage of all his companions: Rory Mercury, Lelei La Lalena, Tuka Luna Marceau, Yao Ro Dushi and Pina Colada, "No sorry, I didn't have time to get gifts. Cause I almost missed the whole thing thanks to these jerks!"
"Itami Dear, you don't mean to say that any of us are a burden to you, do you?" Rory Mercury, the Apostle of Emroy teased.
Tuka leaned in to his face, "Father, please tell me it's not true."
"I would be rather heartbroken if it were." Lelei said in her plain voice while pretending to be sad.
Itami lowered his head in defeat, "I can never win with these people."
"Sir, I hate to interrupt your train of thought but we received new orders as of recently." Sergeant First Class Tomita spoke up.
Itami sighed as he read the file handed to him, "What do they want us do to now?"
After reading the file for only a few seconds he stopped as he was both filled with determination and anger at the face he saw. None other than Zorzal El Caesar, the man who caused so much pain to the people he was meant to serve and protect. The mission was to detain him so he can be charged with war crimes against the people and the JSDF.
"After the kidnappings, imprisonments, slavery and so much more it was only a matter of time before the higher ups were going to take action." Second in Command, Sergeant Major Sōichirō Kuwahara pointed out.
Sergeant First Class Shino Kuribayashi cracked her knuckles at the sight of his photo, "Do I get to go round with him, sir?"
"Unfortunately the orders say they want him here unharmed. But if he resists, feel free to knock him unconscious." Itami reassured her as he read on, "It looks as though he's heading east by northeast towards what was once the Warrior Bunny Tribe. Which is now Imperial Territory."
Pina Co Lada, shuddered at the thought of what was just North of that Region and the history of it. After all, that place was home to one of the bloodiest wars that ever came across the land. She has no choice but to educate and warn him of that surrounding area, "Lieutenant Itami, I feel I must tell you that the place he is going to, is only a days walk from another territory."
"What territory would that be?" Itami questioned.
Pina then pointed to the map already laid out for them, "Just North of the area is Ashfield, now home to the Iron Legion, to the west is the Dawn Empire, and finally to above both domains is the Warborn."
"Should we be worried about them?" Itami asked as he was processing this new information.
Pina sighed, "Only if they offer to help my brother, but that is highly unlikely as they have made a... well to say treaty would be incorrect... ummm I believe the term you'd use would be a non-aggression pact. I guess."
"So we have nothing to fear?" Itami let out some air in relief.
Pina shook her head, "They aren't the real problem. Just south of everything is Blackstone or once was Blackstone, now it is a town of thugs, mercenaries and criminals. But they do have a leader, Apollo. He is the son of a Warmonger once named Apollyon. If Zorzal succeeds in getting his help, then that is something to fear."
"Oh really? How so?"
"Their technology is far more superior than ours. By what I can compare by the books I've seen, 800 years behind you but several hundred years ahead of us. Their fighters are a match for 10 of our own, except of course the Rose Order, they equally match our skill. But they outnumber us... 100 to 1."
"So... they outnumber us, have more advanced technology than you and outskill the other army. Yeah this sounds like something we should worry about." Itami strategized his next move carefully, "They have a head start on us, but we may be able to intercept them just before the Bunny Tribe! Alright team, wheels up in 15, grab your gear, supplies, rations you name it. We may not be back for a while."
"Lieutenant, may I ask a question?" The Field Medic, Sergeant First Class Mari Kurokawa approached the CO.
Itami looked over the file once more, "Will this be a possible diplomatic, recon, or a capture mission?"
"Capture... but I actually get why you ask that... Let's just hope this doesn't turn out like last time." Itami answered honestly.
"Why did I figure you'd say something like that?" The Medic, Kurokawa wondered.
[Ashfield]
It had been over 20 years since that faithful day when the three armies met each other and raged war on each other. Despite their mutual enemy, the amount of lives claimed at the end of the day was far too great to let go. Since then, their diplomats made it their goal to promote peace, but all they can get is no more wars. Not exactly the same thing, but it'll do for now.
The Lord over this land, the Warden who once served under and sought out justice against her. Nowadays he governs the people of Ashfield, aiding them in every way he can while promoting unity amongst them. The Lord even helps train the new line of soldiers that would one day take over, along with his most trusted allies. He even trained his second, another Warden, his daughter, who just so happen to have something on her mind.
"Father, I have something I wish to discuss with you." She demanded as her father stood alone overlooking everything on his balcony.
The Warden turned back to his young fighter and acknowledged her, "Please, speak your mind."
"Father, for years we have had our borders closed, we have never been able to meet with the rulers of other lands because of the pact that we forged. So I wish to address the issue." His daughter spoke clear.
"Again?" The Warden asked as he has heard this story since she was old enough to learn and speak.
"Father we fight to aid those, should we not also aid our once enemies so that we can reestablish peace amongst ourselves?" The female Warden, Valentina questioned again.
The Lord sighed and walked back towards her with a heavy heart, "If we reopen our walls and try that, they may demand more for our crimes, in turn we may demand just as much. Then we would meet high tensions, which may lead to another war."
"... I understand, Father." Valentina lowered her head.
The Warden placed his hands on her shoulders, "I'm sorry my child, I failed to leave this world in a better place than it was. Maybe someday you will bring peace, I only wish I left this world in a better place."
"My Lord." The Lawbringer, Holden Cross's second entered the room, "Sir, trouble in the farmlands, requires your attention."
"My Daughter will go in my place." He ordered as he brought her close for an armoured hug, "Do me proud."
As she left, her words plagued his thoughts. Could they reunite the kingdoms?
[Valkenheim]
The snow covered, mountains were home to a group of the strongest and most fierce warriors known to the land as Vikings. Once the land was so low on food resources, thanks to Apollyon, now is plentiful with no hungry stomachs. The Vikings weren't farmers, but they had aid once from the Knights during the pact as they would supply and teach them the ways.
This place was ruled over by the leader of the clan, the Raider, the mighty powerhouse that protects the lands. He remembers fighting endlessly just to reunite his people together to bring back what it meant to be a Viking. Now he leads the Warborn in new conquests, fighting big game, boar and reindeer to defending against goblins to frost giants. The Raider even taught his own daughter how to fight like him.
"I have news to tell you, Father." The female Raider, Bridget, burst through the door in the Main hall to speak to him.
He looked around and saw his people murmur and lifted a hand to cease the voices, "Come... walk with me."
Outside, they walked down the lanes that were cleared for them, "Father, I heard from one of the traders that passed by here that there are a group of warriors called The Men in Green, who defeated a Flame Dragon. I believe they may be the solution to fighting off and finishing all the monsters we have fought!"
"I know you wish for the best of our people, but if we send a team too small they may be attacked, too big and they will be seen. I'm sorry, but as of now we fight these monsters ourselves." The Raider stated as they passed by some yellow flowers, blossoming through the snow.
The daughter sighed and groaned, "But father, think of the future of our people."
"I am, and I always do when I look at you... as our next leader, you will find the answer. That I am sure of. I'm proud of you." The Raider said with a forehead to forehead touch.
"Thank you... I promise to do well by you." Bridget replied as she grabbed her Dane Ax and went to see who would need her assistance.
Leaving her Father to wonder: what was is the next course of action? Could he put his pride aside to ask for anyone's help? More specifically, the people closest to them?
[The Myre]
The marshy swamplands known to all as The Myre, home to the samurai, the only place they had to call home. After being forced out of theirs by the original Empire then losing their Emperor thanks to Blackstone and the Vikings, they stood on what little they had left. They served and joined together under their new leader, the Kensei who led them to prosperity.
This however is the story of the Orochi, the best fighter and most trusted ally of the Kensei and mother of the second best orochi. She earned her right to speak on the council of the of the Kensei and her most trusted allies. So has her daughter, on several occasions, she has been wise despite her age.
Even so, she brings up issues to her mother before confronting the council, specifically the issues involving the other two nations. Just like today.
"You have done well daughter... your training has shown much improvement in the last couple days." The Mother Orochi stated.
Nakano nodded as she walked alongside her, "Thank you Mother, I was hoping this would be a perfect time to bring up something important I wish to discuss."
"Please tell me it's not the question about venturing outwards again." Her Mother pinched her nose.
The daughter Orochi stood in front of her mother, "Yes mother, I believe if we venture outwards then we may find better suitable land for ourselves."
"I know, but if we do expand our territory it will be more of a strain on us to continue to protect it. What we have here is a home. It may not be much, but it's ours." The Mother comforted her daughter.
Nakano bowed her head and accepted her harsh reality, "I understand... but I just hope we get out of this situation we're in."
"Me too, my peach blossom, me too." The Mother Orochi said as she hoped for a miracle.
Okay so this is different from my usual stuff, but screw it I wanna take a short break from writing RVB/RWBY content for a bit. So tell me what y'all think and I will talk to you all later.
Churchisalive signing off for now.
