This is a story about embracing a blessing. A game represents worlds within another. 64 squares act like a plane, infinite in length, stretching out from one side to the other. A bloodline inherits a path in order to rid the world of true evil. These people are the Joestars. A will of their moral duty fragmented and brought together into one greater story. They must join together or risk being destroyed.

"W-Where am I" The man spoke. Surrounding him from all sides, the abyss welcomed him. This man was Johnathan Joestar. "What happened?" In disbelief of his situation, he tried to find his way back. Getting up, he tried to find his way through the pitch-black chamber. "I-I must defeat DIO!" Suddenly remembering what he had been doing before this, he began moving at a greater speed. He needed to return to DIO's castle and rid the world of his evil. As he turned what felt like a corner, light illuminated the space around him.

"Kars!" Joseph Joestar bellowed, just before stumbling. A look of disbelief and stifled fear spread across his face. "Shit, I can't see!" He shouts into the inky blackness. "Is this the effect of Kars' Light Mode?!" Yet, the floor he stood on, the walls he touched. None of it resembled the abandoned hotel. Holding his clackers steady, he prepared for an attack, but none came. Just then, he could see again.

"Yare Yare Daze… I managed barely to escape…" Jotaro Kujo remarked. "Where is that bastard DIO?" Looking around, he could see nothing. "Is this… could this be some new power?" Jotaro uttered angrily. "Star Platinum!" Jotaro summoned his stand, Star Platinum. "Damn it! I can't even see with Star Platinum's eyes." Even with enhanced eyesight, there was only that pure darkness. However, light began to flood in at a rapid pace from all sides at once.

"W-Where did the light go!?" Josuke Higashikata spoke. "Hayato are you okay? Hayato? Hayato!" Josuke started to panic. Could Kira have found where they were hiding?! More importantly, where had Hayato gone? he didn't seem the type to just disappear off into the house. Josuke started running, looking for a window, a door, anything. Nothing could be found in the labyrinth of turns around him. Stopping for a second, he looked up, and when he did, he could see everything around him.

"Where is everyone?! Mista! Trish! Where are you? I can't see!" Giorno Giovanna yelled, dismayed. Before anything else, Giorno summoned Gold Experience. "Check my eyes!" The stand Touched his eyes. "There's nothing wrong," Giorno said. He was fine but where was everyone where was Diablo?! And most importantly, where was the arrow? it was just in his hand. "C - could this be?" He feared the thought. "King Crimson Requiem!" The thought was enough to shake Giorno to his core. Undaunted, he yelled. "Life Spring forth!" Instantly, numerous parts of clothing turned fireflies covered Giorno's body. "why isn't the light spreading?" Around him, their light did not escape to illuminate the expanse. He started to move forward, but when he did, he found himself bathed in light and his clothes turned back to normal.

Jolyne Cujoh felt around with her strings in the darkness throughout the dark room. "Dad! Ermes! Anasui! Where are you? Why can't I see?" The priest had gone into the sky, but where was he now? "Don't tell me! Could he have achieved heaven!?" Feeling around, everything felt like a maze, stretching out in a pattern she couldn't recognize. She looked down at her hand and noted she could see it again, and her strings were back, and she saw where she was.

Steven Steel Stood on a Podium directly in front of the crowd, looking on at those around. he quietly coughed, then began announcing to the crowd in his aged voice.

"Everyone! you have been gathered here for a special purpose." Steven looked out, attempting to discern people in the crowd. Isn't that Urmud? Steven wondered.

"The Gamemaster has set up a tournament to test your skills. The game that has been decided on is chess! The rules are as follows:" Speaking to this many people made him uncomfortable.

"What's this guy on about?" Joseph said. "You think he hit his head or something?" He turned to the person next to him. "Hey, you know what he's talking about?" Joseph was immediately started by the man's clothes. "What's with the getup! You get lost or something?" Joseph said humorously.

"I don't really know either," Okuyasu told the man. "Also, this is just my school uniform. how about you? You look like you were on a mountain." Okuyasu stood astonished, even noting the snow lodged in the crevices of the fabric. Okuyasu decided to keep talking to the man, not knowing they had met before. "I'm trying to find my pal Josuke. Wanna come with me?"

Joseph recognized the kids' innocence and knew he was being genuine. "Why not? After all, I'm not doing anything just standing here."

As the two were walking away, Steven Steel continued.

"Games will last 2 hours each and a total of 3 games may be played in a round. The pairings will be randomly selected.

"A total of 10 rounds shall be played along with a final round against the gamemaster! As well, one round will be played every 3 days.

"The first player to get a score of 1.5 or more shall win the round and in the case of both players having 1 point, the last game shall not be drawn by agreement.

"If stalemate or insufficient material arises then the person who played the move resulting in the draw will be the loser.

"If any of you are unfamiliar with the rules of chess, then a pamphlet will be located in every one of your rooms detailing the basic rules and principles of chess.

"The time control for games will be 2 hours per player and multiple games can be played per day if desired.

"Now, the winner of the tournament will win this realm you stand in along with the secret to the stand.

"Stand? What's he talking about? And where exactly are we?" Robert E O Speedwagon said bewildered. "Oi" Speedwagon said to the person behind him. "You know what he's talking about?"

"Do… do you not know what a stand is? So you can't see my Silver Chariot?" Polnareff says to the scarred man. I guess he might just be a normal person. Polnareff thought.

"W-what?" Speedwagon starts to stand defensively Who is this man? If he's anything bad I won't be able to do anything until I find Johnathan.

"I'm sorry I haven't properly introduced myself, my name is Jean Pierre Polnareff. My stand card is The Chariot. And you are?" Polnareff asks, curious how this normal-seeming man was here.

More relaxed, Speedwagon began to trust this man. He kind of reminds me of Johnathan. I think that it would be best to trust him. "Nice to meet you. My name is Robert E. O. Speedwagon"

Steven decides to finish after noting everyone's reactions in the room.

"The game of chess was specifically chosen for its easy-to-learn mechanics but high-level strategy involved

"I wish you all good fortune in the coming games. You can all find your rooms down the hall and your name will be located on the door."

Steven then went to leave out the back room, to report the reactions to the game master.
