Trigger Warning: Anxiety

- a week before spring break Its been 3 months since Olivia and Fitz have become friends and they gave become inseparable and they couldn't ask for a better friendship

Olivia's alarm blared loudly, jolting her awake from a deep slumber. She groggily reached over to silence the noise, rubbing her eyes as she tried to shake off the remnants of sleep. Mornings were never Olivia's strong suit, and today was no exception.

Dragging herself out of bed, Olivia stumbled towards the bathroom, splashing cold water on her face in an attempt to wake up. She let out a content sigh as the cool water refreshed her tired skin. Olivia loved taking her time in the bathroom, savoring the few moments of solitude before the chaos of the day began.

As Olivia stood in front of the mirror, brushing her teeth, she heard a knock on the bathroom door. It was her best friend and roommate, Brie. "Hey Liv, I need to shower too. You've been in there for ages. Mind hurrying up?"

Olivia rolled her eyes playfully. "Oh, come on, Brie. You know I'm not a morning person. Besides, I need my time to wake up properly."

Brie chuckled and leaned against the bathroom door. "Well, if you take any longer, I might just have to join you in there. Unless you want me to, of course."

Olivia laughed and shook her head. "No, thank you. I'll be out in a few minutes. Just let me finish getting ready."

With a final rinse of her mouth, Olivia stepped out of the bathroom and made her way back to her bedroom. She quickly rummaged through her closet, searching for her blue nursing scrubs. As she pulled them out and began to get dressed, she couldn't help but feel a sense of frustration building up inside her.

"Where is it?" Olivia muttered to herself, frantically searching through her drawers. "I can't believe I can't find my IV kit. I need it for the simulation today."

Just as Olivia was about to give up and accept her fate, Brie walked into the room, a mischievous smile on her face. "Looking for something, Liv?"

Olivia let out a sigh of relief. "Yes, actually. I can't find IV kit anywhere. I've been searching all morning."

Brie chuckled, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "Oh, Liv. You left it in your clinical bag. I saw it when we were packing up yesterday. You must have forgotten to take it out."

Olivia's frustration quickly turned into embarrassment as she realized her mistake. "Oh my goodness, I can't believe I did that. Thank you, Brie."

Brie grinned and patted Olivia's shoulder. "It's all part of your charm, Liv. Don't worry, we all have our moments. Just make sure to double-check your bag before panicking next time."

Olivia nodded, grateful for Brie's understanding and lightheartedness. She knew she could always count on her friend to bring a smile to her face, even on the most frustrating of mornings.

With her IV dilemma resolved, Olivia joined Brie as they made their way down to the cafeteria for breakfast. They grabbed plates of scrambled eggs and sat down at a table, enjoying their meal and sharing a few laughs.

Olivia and Brie sat at their usual spot in the cafeteria, sipping on their morning coffee and nibbling on their breakfast. Brie, always one to push Olivia's buttons, couldn't resist bringing up Olivia's infamous cafeteria food conspiracy theories.

"So, Liv, any new revelations about the cafeteria food?" Brie asked with a mischievous grin.

Olivia raised an eyebrow and took a dramatic sip of her coffee. "Oh, you know me, always uncovering the hidden secrets of the cafeteria cuisine. Just yesterday, I discovered that the scrambled eggs are actually made from alien eggs. No wonder they taste so out of this world!"

Brie burst into laughter, tears streaming down her face. "Oh my god, Liv, you never fail to make me laugh! Alien eggs, really? I can't handle it!"

Olivia smirked, enjoying Brie's reaction. "Hey, don't underestimate the power of my conspiracy theories. I'm just trying to keep everyone informed and entertained."

Brie wiped away her tears of laughter and playfully nudged Olivia. "Well, keep 'em coming, Liv. Your witty remarks and hilarious theories make my day."

Olivia leaned back in her chair, a sassy smile on her face. "Oh, you haven't heard the best one yet. I have reason to believe that the cafeteria's mac and cheese is actually a secret government experiment to control our taste buds. It's so addictive, it's like they're trying to brainwash us!"

Brie erupted into another fit of laughter, clutching her stomach. "Liv, you're killing me! I can't handle these conspiracy theories. You're the queen of wit and sarcasm!"

Olivia chuckled, enjoying the moment of lightheartedness with her friend. "Well, someone has to keep things interesting around here. And if that means making up wild theories about cafeteria food, then so be it."

As they continued to laugh and joke, Olivia couldn't help but appreciate the bond she had with Brie. Their friendship was built on moments like these, where they could be silly and sarcastic, making each other laugh until their sides hurt.

In that moment, Olivia realized that it was these simple moments of laughter and connection that made life worth living. No matter how crazy her cafeteria food conspiracy theories were, as long as she had Brie by her side, she knew she would always have someone to share a laugh with.

After a hearty breakfast, Olivia and Brie made their way to the nursing class. As they entered the lecture hall, Olivia couldn't help but feel a mix of excitement and nervousness. Today's class was going to be challenging, with a focus on advanced medical procedures and patient care.

The instructor, Professor Johnson, stood at the front of the room, ready to begin the day's lesson. Olivia took her seat, pulling out her notebook and pen, ready to take diligent notes. She glanced over at Brie, who gave her an encouraging smile.

Professor Johnson started the class by reviewing the previous lesson, ensuring that the students had a solid understanding of the material. Olivia listened attentively, jotting down key points and asking questions when needed. She was determined to make the most of her time in class and absorb as much knowledge as possible.

As the class progressed, Professor Johnson introduced new concepts and techniques, demonstrating them on a medical mannequin. Olivia watched intently, taking mental notes and visualizing herself performing the procedure. She knew that mastering these skills would be crucial in her journey to becoming a competent

The class was divided into small groups for a hands-on activity. Olivia was paired with Ethan, the new student she had met earlier. They were tasked with practicing intravenous (IV) catheter insertion on a simulation arm because in 2 hours they would have to perform the procedure solo. Olivia felt a surge of excitement and Anxiety as she prepared for the task.

Ethan, who had a confident demeanor, took the lead in setting up the equipment and explaining the procedure. Olivia appreciated his knowledge and skill, and they worked together seamlessly. They took turns practicing the technique, offering each other feedback and guidance.

As Olivia inserted the IV catheter into the simulation arm, she felt a sense of accomplishment. It was a challenging procedure, but she executed it with precision and confidence. Professor Johnson observed their progress, providing additional tips and corrections to enhance their technique.

Olivia took a deep breath as she entered the classroom after lunch break, her heart pounding with anxiety. It was the hour she had been dreading - the time she had to perform an IV demonstration in front of her classmates. As someone who struggled with anxiety, public speaking was always a challenge for her.

As she settled into her seat, her phone buzzed with a text notification. She glanced at the screen and saw that it was Fitz, A small smile tugged at the corners of her lips as she read his message.

F:"Good afternoon, beautiful. I hope you're having a good day so far," the text read.

Olivia's anxiety momentarily lifted as she felt the warmth of Fitz's words. She quickly typed out a response, her fingers flying across the screen.

O: "Good afternoon, Fitz. I'm feeling a little nervous as of now. I have to do an IV demonstration in class. Public speaking always gets to me,"

Almost immediately, Fitz's reply came through, filled with motivation and support.

F: " I understand but, I know you're going to do amazing. You've worked so hard and you're incredibly knowledgeable about IV procedures. Just remember to take deep breaths, speak slowly, and imagine that you're talking to me. I believe in you, and I know you'll rock it!"

Olivia felt a surge of confidence and gratitude wash over her as she read Fitz's encouraging words. It was as if he had the power to lift her spirits with just a few sentences. She took a moment to compose herself, taking deep breaths and reminding herself of her capabilities.

With Fitz's words echoing in her mind, Olivia approached the front of the classroom when it was her turn to present. She took a deep breath, reminding herself to speak slowly and confidently. As she began her demonstration, she imagined Fitz standing in the back of the room, cheering her on.

To her surprise, Olivia found herself speaking with ease. The nerves that had consumed her earlier seemed to fade away as she focused on the task at hand. She confidently explained each step of the IV procedure, answering questions from her classmates with poise and knowledge.

When she finished, the room erupted in applause. Olivia couldn't help but smile, feeling a sense of accomplishment and pride. She knew that she had conquered her anxiety and delivered a successful presentation, thanks in large part to the support and motivation from Fitz.

After class, Olivia texted Fitz to let him know how it went.

O: Hey, Smiley! I did it! The IV demonstration went really well, and I felt so much more confident thanks to your encouragement. Thank you for always believing in me."

Fitz's reply came quickly, filled with pride and love.

F: I knew you could do it, sassy bells I'm so proud of you. You continue to amaze me with your strength and determination. I'll always be here to support you, no matter what."

As Olivia read Fitz's message, she couldn't help but feel grateful for his unwavering support. With him by her side as one of her closest friends she knew that she could overcome any challenge that came her way. And as she looked ahead to her future in nursing, she felt a renewed sense of confidence and excitement. She Knew she could trust him after the incident that happened at her apartment.

FlashBack To A month ago:

Fitz walked briskly down the hallway of Olivia's dorm building, a mischievous smile playing on his lips. In his hand, he held a pack of Uno cards, ready to challenge Olivia and her friend Brie to a thrilling game. He couldn't wait to see the look on their faces when he emerged victorious.

As he approached Olivia's room, Fitz could hear laughter and chatter coming from inside. He knocked on the door, anticipation building within him. Brie answered, her eyes widening in surprise when she saw Fitz standing there with the Uno cards.

"Fitz! What are you doing here?" Brie exclaimed, a playful grin spreading across her face.

Fitz chuckled, holding up the pack of cards. "I've come to challenge you and Olivia to the ultimate Uno showdown. Are you ready to be defeated?"

Brie's eyes sparkled with excitement as she stepped aside to let Fitz enter the room. Olivia, who had been engrossed in a conversation, looked up and her face lit up with a smile when she saw Fitz.

"Fitz! I didn't know you were coming over. This is a pleasant surprise," Olivia said, her voice filled with warmth.

Fitz returned her smile, his heart fluttering at the sight of her. "I thought we could use a little friendly competition tonight. Are you up for it?"

Olivia's eyes gleamed with determination as she nodded. "Oh, you're on, Fitz. Prepare to be defeated!"

The three of them settled down on the floor, the Uno cards spread out in front of them. The game began, and the room filled with laughter and friendly banter as they tried to outsmart each other.

But as the game progressed, Fitz couldn't help but notice a change in Olivia's demeanor. Her laughter became forced, and her smile seemed to fade. Concern filled his heart, and he glanced at Brie, who also seemed to sense something was wrong.

Just as Olivia was about to play her turn, her phone rang, interrupting the game. She excused herself, saying it was her mother calling. Fitz watched as Olivia walked into the bathroom to take the call, closing the door behind her.

At first, Fitz could only hear snippets of the conversation, muffled through the closed door. But as the conversation grew more heated, Olivia's voice became louder, filled with anger and panic. Fitz's heart sank, realizing that something was terribly wrong.

Unable to ignore Olivia's distress, Fitz quietly approached the bathroom door, straining to hear what was being said. He could hear Olivia's mother, Marie, yelling at her, her words filled with venom and hurtful accusations.

"You think you can just go around dealing with upperclassmen? You're nothing but a naive little girl, Olivia! They will never love you, you have too much anger and ugliness inside of you olivia. You are just like your father!" Marie's voice echoed through the bathroom, causing Fitz's blood to boil.

Olivia's voice trembled as she tried to defend herself, but her mother's words cut deep, striking at her insecurities. Fitz could hear the pain and frustration in her voice as she fought back tears.

"You're wrong, Mom! I'm not naive, and I can make my own decisions. I am nothing like Josiah Pope! I wish I were! if anything I am like YOU marie, I deserve to be treated with respect!" Olivia shouted, her voice filled with a mix of anger and desperation.

Fitz's heart ached for Olivia, knowing how much her mother's words were hurting her. He wanted to burst through the door and confront Marie, to protect Olivia from the pain she was causing. But he knew that Olivia needed to handle this on her own.

Instead, Fitz leaned against the wall outside the bathroom, his fists clenched in frustration. He couldn't stand the thought of Olivia being treated this way, especially by someone who should love and support her unconditionally.

Olivia's heart raced as she hung up the phone, her breathing becoming shallow and rapid. The hurtful words from her mother echoed in her mind, causing her chest to tighten and tears to well up in her eyes. Panic washed over her like a tidal wave, and she struggled to catch her breath.

Just as the panic threatened to consume her, Fitz rushed to her side, his eyes filled with concern. "Sassy Belle, it's okay. I'm here," he whispered, his voice gentle and soothing.

Olivia clung to Fitz, her body trembling with fear and anxiety. She felt his strong arms wrap around her, providing a sense of safety and comfort. His presence alone began to calm the storm raging within her.

Fitz guided Olivia to a nearby couch, sitting down beside her and continuing to hold her close. He spoke softly, his voice a steady anchor in the chaos of her mind. "Breathe with me, Sassy Belle. Inhale deeply, hold it for a moment, and then exhale slowly."

Olivia followed Fitz's instructions, focusing on her breath as she tried to regain control. With each inhale and exhale, she felt a small measure of calm return. Fitz's unwavering support gave her the strength to confront her panic.

As Olivia's breathing steadied, Fitz gently wiped away her tears, his touch tender and comforting. "You're safe now, Belle. You're not alone," he reassured her, his voice filled with warmth and love.

Olivia leaned into Fitz's embrace, finding solace in his presence. She felt a sense of security and acceptance that she had never experienced before. With Fitz by her side, she knew she could face anything.

They sat together in silence, the weight of Olivia's panic slowly lifting. Fitz continued to hold her, offering a steady presence and a shoulder to lean on. He understood that sometimes, the best comfort came from simply being there.

As Olivia's breathing returned to normal and her panic subsided, she looked up at Fitz, her eyes filled with gratitude. "Thank you, Fitz," she whispered, her voice filled with emotion. "I don't know what I would do without you."

Fitz smiled softly, brushing a strand of hair behind Olivia's ear. "You don't have to thank me, nor do you have to find out what to do without me Sassy Belle. I'll always be here for you, through the good times and the bad. You're not alone in this."

Olivia nodded, her heart swelling with love for Fitz. In that moment, she realized that she had found someone who truly understood and accepted her, someone who would always be there to support and comfort her. The Only man she trusted besides her Father

Olivia's heart sank as her phone rang, pulling her out of the painful flashback. She took a deep breath and answered, walking back to her dorm room.

"Hello?" Olivia said, walking back to her dorm

"Bug" her sister's voice came through the line. "Listen, I can't handle being in the middle of your stubborn drama with Mom anymore. Can you please just call her and sort things out?"

Olivia rolled her eyes, her frustration evident. "Oh, sure. Let me just drop everything and cater to Mom's whims. Because that's always worked out so well in the past."

There was a moment of silence on the other end of the line before Alex responded. "Look, I know it's not easy, but maybe it's time to put aside your differences and try to have a civil conversation. It's exhausting for both of us to constantly be caught in the middle."

Olivia sighed, her anger subsiding slightly. "Fine, I'll call her. But don't expect miracles, Alex."

As she hung up the phone, Olivia's mind shifted to a more pleasant thought. She wondered if Fitz would be up for some company tonight. She dialed his number, a mischievous smile playing on her lips.

"Hi, Mr. Chemical lover," Olivia greeted him sarcastically as he answered the call.

Fitz chuckled on the other end. "Ah, the one and only Sassy Bells. What can I do for you today?"

Olivia smirked, enjoying their playful banter. "Well, I was wondering if you'd be interested in hanging out tonight. Chinese food and a movie, perhaps?"

Fitz paused for a moment, considering her offer. "Absolutely! I would love to have you over. What's your favorite dish on the menu?"

Olivia thought for a moment before responding. "Hmm, I think I'll go with General Tso's chicken. It's always been my go-to."

Fitz smiled. "Great choice! General Tso's chicken it is. I'll make sure to order it for you. What about the movie? Any preferences?"

Olivia pondered for a moment. "How about an action-packed thriller? Something that will keep us on the edge of our seats."

Fitz nodded. "Sounds exciting. I'll find the perfect movie for us. See you soon!"

As Olivia entered Fitz's dorm, she was greeted by the delicious smell of Chinese food wafting through the air. Fitz had set up a cozy movie night atmosphere, with blankets and pillows scattered on the couch.

"Welcome, Sassy bells," Fitz said with a smile. "I hope you're ready for a night of tasty food and thrilling entertainment."

Olivia grinned and took a seat on the couch. "I can't wait. You always know how to make movie nights extra special."

Fitz handed her a plate filled with General Tso's chicken and vegetable fried rice. "Here you go, your favorite. Dig in!"

Olivia eagerly grabbed her chopsticks and took a bite of the crispy chicken. The flavors exploded in her mouth, and she couldn't help but let out a satisfied moan.

"This is amazing, Fitz," she said between bites. "You really always know where to get the best food ."

Fitz chuckled and settled down next to her, holding a bowl of his own. "What can I say? Im a greedy man" They ate in comfortable silence, enjoying the delicious meal and each other's company.

Once they had finished eating, Fitz turned on the TV and started browsing through their movie options. After a few minutes, he settled on a suspenseful thriller that had received rave reviews.

As the movie began, Olivia leaned back against the pillows, feeling a sense of relaxation wash over her. She was grateful for moments like these, where she could escape from the chaos of her life and simply enjoy the company of a good friend.

Throughout the movie, they laughed, gasped, and exchanged excited whispers. The tension in the room grew as the plot thickened, and they found themselves on the edge of their seats.

As the credits rolled and the movie came to an end, Olivia turned to Fitz with a smile. "That was incredible. Thank you for the amazing food and the thrilling movie. I couldn't have asked for a better night."

Fitz grinned back at her. "The pleasure was all mine, Sassy bells. Anytime you need a movie night or some delicious Chinese food, you know where to find me."

Olivia nodded, feeling a sense of warmth and contentment. She knew that no matter what challenges life threw at her, she could always count on Fitz to be there for her, ready to provide comfort, laughter, and a good dose of adventure.

As they cleaned up the empty plates and settled back on the couch, Olivia couldn't help but feel a surge of affection for Fitz. Without thinking, she leaned in and gave him a peck on the lips, surprising both of them.

Fitz's eyes widened in surprise, but he quickly recovered and returned the peck placing his hands on her cheeks with a smile. They held each other in a warm embrace for a moment, savoring the closeness.

"I'll call you tomorrow," Olivia whispered, breaking the embrace and gathering her things. "Thank you again for tonight."

Fitz nodded, a hint of excitement in his eyes. "I'll be waiting for your call. Have a good night, sass"

With a final wave, Olivia left Fitz's dorm, her heart filled with a mix of happiness and anticipation. She couldn't wait to see what the future held for her and Fitz, but for now, she was content with the beautiful moments they had shared.
