Summary: At the age of five Jaime Mitchell got taken from her family after running away from her Grandmothers house. Now that 12 years have past she resurfaces but she is not the person she used to be after being raised by a monster. Will she remember her family after she is free from the evil or will she neglect them?
This story will be a work in progress but i want to explore Anton Mercer a little more and in a different way. This story will mainly focus on dino thunder as well.
FlASHBACK...The Night Jaime Went Missing.
"Where is she!?" Captain William Mitchell yelled as he busted through the door of his wife's mother's house. "Kate where is she?!"
"Oh William!" She cried grabbing onto him. "She knocked over a glass and broke it. I didn't mean to yell at her but she ran off. I am so sorry!".
"Hey look at me. Kate how long has she been gone?" He asked as the cops arrived.
She gripped his hands. "An hour. its dark and stormy outside. She must be freezing and scared!".
"Ma'am" An officer spoke. "What was she wearing?"
"Uhm, she was wearing blue jeans with a blue shirt." Kate told them. "Here is a picture of her"
Captain Mitchell sat down on the couch. His mind going to his baby who was all alone. He had to push the thought of her being gone as he remembered what happened to his son. The thought of Diabolico taking her to. He looked across from him as his mother in law wept softly. "Kate we'll find her"
Little did they know they would not see their daughter for years to come.
Somewhere Unknown...
"Please i want to go home!" A little voice yelled. "I want my Dad!"
"Hush little one. This is your home now." Anton Mercer spoke to the scared little girl. "I will take care of you".
Jaime Mitchell sobbed from her place in th corner until she fell asleep.
Reefside 2004 Present Day.
Tommy Oliver walked down the hallway of Reefside High as students walked passed him.
"Dr. Oliver ." Principal Randall spoke coming beside him.
"Principal Randall what can i do for you?"
"You have a new student. Jaime Mercer. She is a wicked one so see too it that she doesn't cause trouble". Randall hissed walking away. Tommy nodded and walked to his class noticing the girl waiting outside. She was dressed in jeans and an orange sweater.
"Jaime?"
"Yeah" She replied as he led her inside.
"Class this is Jaime, make sure she feels welcome. You can take a seat next to Kira Ford." He gestured.
"Hi i'm Kira".
Jaime looked at her. "Don't care" She spat. Kira looked at . Once the bell rang the students began to leave their science class. Jaime was the last to get her books.
"So your new around here?" Tommy tried. "You look familiar".
"Do I? You sure don't. Look i'm sorry if i seem hostile i have a lot going on right now". She spoke softly. "I just moved here and i don't have any friends. My Dad likes to keep me home"
"Oh. Can i ask who your Dad is?"
What she spoke chilled Tommy to the core. "Mercer. Anton Mercer. He's my adoptive Dad i lost my real Dad when i was 5"
"Oh i'm sorry to hear that. Do you have any other family?"
"No their all gone. Look can i go now?" She asked looking nervous.
"Yeah sure" He told her with a light smile as she ran out of the class. He looked up as Conner and Kira joined him.
"Dr.O who is she?" Conner, the red ranger asked his teacher. "She seems off"
"It could just be its her first day. She told me she doesn't have any friends but i swear she looks familiar" Tommy answered him. "You guys remember how i told you i went on the island with Mercer. Well Jaime told me he raised her since she was 5 because her real Dad died"
"Dr. O that's horrible but why are you so concerned?" Kira brought up.
"I don't know maybe i am just overthinking it but i swear something is off about her"
Conner and Kira shared a glance as Conner spoke. "If you want we can keep an eye on her since you always have bad luck when you attend schools".
"Funny Conner" Kira scolded him. "Come on we better get to English"
Tommy watched them go. He looked out the window to see Mercer and Jaime talking outside. His eyes narrowed as Mercer slipped something into her hand. "Can't be" He whispered as she put on the silver bracelet that held an orange dino gem. She reached into her pocket to give him something causing something to fall out. Once they left Tommy used the exit to see where they were going. To his surprise they went through an invisiportal.
Tommy reached down to pick up a silver chain with a heart locket on it. He opened it and covered his mouth at what he saw. "Jaime?" He whispered as it showed a small picture of her as a baby with none other than Captain Mitchell.
Tommy went to finish his day of classes then got his three rangers to meet him in the parking lot. "I have to make a trip somewhere."
" what's going on?" Kira pushed. "You have seemed off since you met her"
Tommy sighed. "If my hunch is right Jaime Mercer is actually Jaime Mitchell. She went missing when she was only five. Her Father is Captain Mitchell of Mariner Bay"
"But that's crazy. Why is she here?" Ethan asked.
"I don't know but ranger families stick together so i need to go to Mariner Bay and let her family know. Hold down the fort until i get back tonight".
They watched as he drove off.
Mariner Bay...
Tommy parked his jeep at the driveway where he knew Captain Mitchell lived. He saw the man along with his son Ryan fixing the fence.
"Tommy what brings you here?" Ryan greeted with a handshake.
"Ryan, Will i don't know how to say this but i think Jaime is in Reefside".
William nearly fell to the ground only Ryan caught him. They both helped the older man to a nearby chair. "Tommy what? how?" Ryan managed. He didn't get the chance to meet his baby sister all he could remember was her before the accident when they were kids.
Tommy sat down across from them. "There's a girl in Reefside that resembles your daughter, sister. I found this" He pulled the locket out of his shirt pocket. "She dropped it outside the school so it confirms its her"
William wiped his eyes holding the chain. Hs body trembling. "I gave this to her when she turned five. She disappeared a month after. Tommy does she remember us? can you bring her home?"
"No she was told her family died. Jaime was taken by Anton Mercer i went to an island with him a few years ago. As to why he took her i don't know"
"Mercer? Wait that name sounds familiar. Dad isn't that the guy that funded the construction of the new arena?" Ryan asked his Dad remembering Carter talking about it.
His Father nodded. "What can we do?"
Tommy stood up. "Right now we need to be cautious. See Mercer used what we call an invisiportal which is what Mesogog uses so he could be working with him. If he is either Jaime is on his side or she is forced to"
'Look i'll help" Ryan offered.
"Thanks man. She has a dino gem like the one my rangers and I use so i don't know how tainted it is getting her to come to our side won't be easy and she won't come willingly"
"Tommy please bring her back to us. I just want my daughter back" The older man pleaded. "Its been 12 years"
Tommy squeezed his shoulder. "Look rangers stick together. I just need to ask if it really is her is there anything about her i should know?"
"If it is Jaime she has a huge four inch scar above her left eyebrow. She tripped at the playground and busted it open" Will informed him. "Do you mind if we come to Reefside? please i'll stay out of the way i just need to see her".
Tommy hesitated. "Okay go let Dana know and i will see you guys tomorrow".
"Thank you Tommy so much" Ryan told the veteran ranger shaking his hand.
"No problem" Tommy spoke as he hopped into his jeep and make the trip back to his home. Tommy drove through the city noticing Jaime sat under a tree. He looked down at the chain Ryan handed back to him in hopes it would get through to her.
Jaime closed her textbooks and stood up. " hi"
"Hey, how are you doing?"
She shrugged. "I'm alright".
"Here" He held out the chain. "You dropped this earlier outside the school so i wanted to make sure you got it back"
She took it from him. "Thank you you have no idea what this locket means to me"
Tommy walked next to her. "Is that your Dad in the picture?"
"Yeah, this is the only picture i have of us together. I think about him from time to time" She answered pushing her bangs out of he face causing Tommy to get the confirmation he needed as he saw the scar. "Anton helped raise me he never fully filled out the adoption papers but i think of him as a father figure"
Tommy had to hold back from spilling the beans. "Jaime you look tired are you okay?"
"Oh yeah just been a long few days". She answered. "Look i better do before i get into trouble"
"You know if you ever need help or if anything is happening you can always come to me". He motioned to the black gem on his wrist. She looked down rubbing hers.
"You have one?" She stammered out. "Please stay away or he will hurt me or you!"
"Who Jaime? who!?" He steadied her as she stumbled.
"Mesogog" She whispered as she pulled out of his grip and ran. He watched as she was pulled though a portal. He knew he had to get her out of there but the only question was how?
Dino Lab...
"So let me get this straight" Conner began. "Jaime is a girl that vanished when she was five. She shows up here with Anton Mercer and is either working with Mesogog or for him?"
"Yes Conner. When i showed her my gem the fear she had was real. We need to get her away from there" Tommy told his rangers.
"How if she is working for Mesogog she will be watched" Kira piped up. "Are you suggesting we kidnap her?"
"It may be are only chance. Her family is coming here tomorrow" Tommy told them. "For now we wait and see. I don't know what the gem she has will do to her if she morphs so be on guard. If she talks to you just go along with her"
The Mercer Home...
"Anton i'm sorry, please" Jaime pleaded with him noticing how angry he was. "I'll stay away"
Anton stood. "Jaime he is dangerous. I raised you as a warrior for a reason. He will try to take you away from me, you don't want that right?"
She shook her head. "No. I promise i won't let them do that"
"Good now go and destroy them" He ordered her causing her morpher to appear. Jaime nodded as her orange suit appeared. She jumped through a portal.
Reefside...Dino Lab.
The four rangers looked up from their homework as the alarms sounded. "No" Tommy whispered. "Crap what is he doing here? he wasn't supposed to come until tomorrow" Tommy grumbled as he saw Ryan Mitchell fighting the orange ranger. The four of them ran out to help.
"Pathetic" The ranger whispered.
"You do realize rangers are the good guys" Ryan coughed out glaring through his helmet. "Who are you?"
"The one ranger who will destroy you" She taunted using her daggers to slash his chest.
"Stop!" Tommy yelled. "Leave him alone!" He pleaded as the pain Ryan was feeling caused him to demorph. Kira and Conner helped him up. "Let us help you!"
"Who is it?" Ryan whispered wrapping an arm around his ribs. "Tommy is it her?"
Tommy nodded as he stepped in front of his team. "Jaime listen to me we know Mesogog is using you."
Jaime grabbed her head as her suit vanished. Ryan watched as the sister he never saw in years now stood in front of him. Waves of emotion traveled over his body. She waved her hand causing fire to erupt from her hands throwing them down. "I'm sorry i have to or he will hurt me"
"Please just come with us." Conner tried.
"No stay away!" She yelled as she ran off.
"Come on lets ger Ryan cleaned up" Tommy suggested.
Dino Lab..
"Ouch!" Ryan winced as Kira cleaned the cut he had on his neck. "Sorry i always hated the stuff. My sister is a doctor and i swear she enjoys it" She put a white bandage over it.
"I take it that you always get into accidents" She laughed out. "Dr.O what can we do?"
Tommy twirled in his chair. "The only way to help he is get her away from Mesogog and Mercer"
"So you want to kidnap my sister to help her" Ryan spoke carefully.
"Pretty much its the only way. I got a feeling that he punishes her is she doesn't do what they want. Look its risky i know"
"There is one good upside to this" Hayley announced. "Her gem is not tainted with evil only her mind is"
Ryan punched the bed he sat on. She was going through what he did. "I can't believe this." Ryan walked out back to get fresh air. Kira slowly followed behind.
"You okay?" She asked. "Sorry stupid question".
Ryan sat down on the back step. "You know i wasn't raised by my Dad i was raised by a Demon. I hardly remember Jaime. I was raised to believe my Dad let me fall over the cliff to save the girls. When i came back to my family Dad told me what happened and how she disappeared".
"What did you do?" Kira asked softly. Ryan glanced at her.
"I vowed to bring her home. I may not remember much about her but i was still her big brother. We thought that somehow Diabolico had took her and hid her but it wasn't the case. To know she was raised by someone else like i was and fed lies angers my soul".
Kira touched his arm. "We will do what we can to help".
"I won't stop until she is safe i don't care what i have to do". The two got up and went to the lab.
"Lets do this, we get her back here. I want my baby sister back" Ryan told everyone firmly.
"Okay we both know she is not going to come willingly. Hayley managed to get a sedative to knock her out. Look i know none of use wants to do this but its our only chance"
"But how do we get her alone?" Ethan asked from the steps.
"I got an idea. The day she came to school i saw her walking out of the gym before she went to the park. Maybe she likes sports so i may be able to lead her there" Conner offered. "Coach Matthew's gave me permission to go in there to practice if its raining"
"Kira and I will be the lookout" Ethan offered.
"Okay we do this tomorrow after school once its cleared out. Now everyone go get some rest" Tommy ordered his rangers. "Ryan you up for this?" Tommy asked him as they were left alone.
"Yes she deserves to come home"
