Chapter 1: Nono's Not Leaving
Twenty-nine-year-old Noah Puckerman was sitting by three-year-old Tracy Anderson's hospital bed reading Sleeping Beauty to her as she was in a coma. Tracy and her parents were in a car accident on the way to Noah's girlfriend, Quinn Fabray's baby shower when they were hit by a car. Her parents, Blaine and Kurt Anderson, soon walked in on crutches, followed by Kurt's parents, Burt and Carole Hummel. Noah continued to read the storybook as Quinn walked in and told Kurt, "He hasn't left her side since they admitted you guys. Puck's mom told me Tracy only responds to Puck's voice." Soon the others hear him singing Forever from the TV series Full House.
Then Noah looks at Blaine and says, "Beth stopped talking to me a month ago. She's thirteen now, and I had to watch her grow up in pictures. Shelby cut off all contact with me on Tracy's third birthday. Then Tracy's first night here, she wouldn't let go of my fingers. So, I promised her I wouldn't leave and would stay until she was ready to wake up."
He then looks at the storybook and says, "My mom got me this book when Quinn told me she was pregnant again. I heard that song on a TV show I watched as a kid, and it made me think of Beth."
Noah looked at Quinn as he got mad before yelling, "Why did you say no, Quinn? I'm not that loser anymore! Were you lying when you said you would rather do hard with me than have an easy relationship with anyone else? Quinn, I will not watch another child grow up in pictures!" Then Noah put his hand on his chest and collapsed on the floor before his mother, Norah, ran into the room. Norah and Quinn soon find out that Noah had a heart attack. Norah soon put Noah in Tracy's hospital room, and everybody soon noticed their heads turned towards each other.
One day, Norah came into the room, hearing Blaine yelling at Kurt, saying, "Puck could die and can't be moved to another room because his being here keeps Tracy alive! Our daughter loves Puck, and he loves her, Kurt! Have you ever thought once about how I feel here? I hate that I have to be in a room three floors away from her and that she is still in that bed. I hate that we get to go home, and she has to stay here! I'm sure Puck's mom feels the same way, and so does Quinn. Why don't you return to our hospital room if you can't stand it here?" Then Kurt hobbles out of the room, holding his crutches, crying. As Norah sat at Noah's bedside, Blaine sang along with If Tomorrow Never Comes by Garth Brooks as the video played on the TV; in the room.
Then he looks at Norah and says, "The first time she met Puck was at her second birthday party when he came dressed as the Hulk. The funny thing is that it wasn't even a costume party; he had green body paint on and cutoff shorts. Tracy was in love with him from that day on. Beth was there with Shelby and got jealous of all the attention Puck was giving Tracy. I might not like that Tracy loves Puck, but if his presence keeps her alive, I'm okay with them being in the same room. How is Quinn? I heard from Santana that she moved in with you."
Norah looks at Noah and says, "I just admitted her to the hospital because stress over Puck being here almost caused her to go into labor." A moment later, they hear Quinn and Kurt screaming at each other.
Then they heard Burt saying, "Enough! Both of you go back to your hospital rooms. Tracy and Puck don't need to hear you arguing right now."
Then he walks in, followed by Rachel and Carole. Rachel didn't stay long after seeing Tracy looking like she was asleep. Blaine looks at Noah as he says, "I called Shelby after Puck slipped into a coma. I tried to get her to come here, but she wouldn't. Rachel told me Shelby won't let her talk about Puck or Quinn around Beth."
He glances at Burt and says, "I don't know how you got through the day when Kurt's mom was in a coma. I feel like I'm going crazy and want to throw something." which makes Norah laugh as she looks at Noah.
Then she tells Blaine, "Puck already did that for you. I think the real reason Tracy wouldn't let go of his hand was that he was close to being thrown out the night she came here. Plus, Puck was the only person who didn't annoy her. I would hear some nurses talking negatively about you or Kurt around her, and she got so mad one time her heart monitor went off. Ha, Quinn and I both think Tracy acts like Puck."
Blaine looks at Burt and says, "You owe me twenty dollars, Burt. I told you Tracy acts more like Puck than Santana." Then Norah and Carole glare at Burt as he hands Blaine the money.
After Blaine and Kurt got to go home, they came back to see Tracy and saw Quinn crying as she sang along with Forever Love by Reba McEntire as the video played on TV.
Then she went over to Tracy and kissed her forehead. Before she whispers, "I'm sorry, I hurt your prince, Tracy." She soon breaks down as Tracy refuses to let go of her hand. Then she touches her belly and sings Once Upon A Dream from Sleeping Beauty as she looks from Noah to Tracy.
She looks at Rachel and says, "Don't say it, Rachel. I don't want to give up on Puck."
Then she points at Tracy and yells, "Tracy may love Puck, but let's face it, Rachel. He thinks of your daughter as his own! He would eat here, sleep here, and go days without a shower! Just so that she wouldn't be alone! Puck only reacts when someone upsets Tracy! Do you know how many times he almost died after Tracy would react to someone calling Kurt or Blaine fags? Rachel, leave now, go!" Rachel looks at Tracy and Noah, then Burt, as she leaves without saying a word.
Quinn notices The Notebook playing on TV and tells Burt, "I get how Allie felt about Noah Calhoun now. My parents were like hers and set me up with Biff. I watched this movie before I was admitted here and almost went into labor thinking about Puck. I turned him down because I thought he was like you, not his dad. I just said that because I couldn't face the truth. Mr. H, I'm having another girl. I hope Puck is half the dad you are to Kurt."
Burt looks at Tracy as he says, "Someone thinks you and Puck are Bruce Banner and Natasha Romanoff in disguise and had me make your baby a Hulk doll at Build-A-Bear." Then he takes a bag out from under Tracy's bed and hands it to Quinn.
He glances at Noah as he says, "I gave Puck the doll when Tracy was admitted here. He was comparing you to another Ali from the movie Burlesque and calling himself a Tough Lover."
Quinn chuckles as she whispers, "More like Dr. Long John!" Burt glared at her and shook his head as he chuckled.
Quinn sits up straighter as she says, "Puck had Elizabeth's diary, and I found two pictures of you I gave to Kurt before he went home. Kurt only knows about the pictures. The diary is in my purse. I found her diary in a drawer, and Puck had a page bookmarked with a picture of Beth. He has a journal replying to several of her diary entries, talking about Puck's dad. Plus, letters to her apologizing for everything he did to Kurt."
She looks at Noah and says, "I'm naming this baby Allison Elizabeth Puckerman. I don't know if Tracy will wake up, but I'm glad she has Puck here. Do you think they hear us, Mr. H?"
Burt takes Quinn's hand as he says, "Yes."
Chapter 2 will be up soon.
