At Roger's house; the amputee meerkat had a deck of cards out and was shuffling them in front of Hunter.
"Now this is some good ol human realm magic. Not as legit as what you're used to in your realm, but satisfying enough to fool anyone." said Roger.
He finished shuffling the cards and pulled out out of the deck without looking at it and gave it to Hunter face down.
Hunter flipped it around, revealing it was a two diamonds.
"Memorize it and put it back in the pile." said Roger.
Hunter put the card back in the pile of cards in Roger's hands which he shuffled once more and pulled out the very same card from his right jacket sleeve.
"Is this your card?" said Roger.
Hunter was amazed.
"Whoa, that's actually impressive. I don't think Belos would have believed it." said Hunter.
"Belos would have assumed it was a result of witch craft even after being told how it was done and if told that humans have embraced magic in this very way for years after he disappeared in the Demon Realm." said Roger.
"That's fair." said Hunter.
Roger put the cards away.
"But if you know so much about this staged magic stuff, why don't you ever use it?" said Hunter.
"I prefer not to draw attention to myself." said Roger.
Hunter nodded.
"That seems smart." said Hunter.
Roger then held up a knife and chopped off his right hand before he started screaming as blood gushed out.
Hunter became shocked and screamed as well.
But then the meerkat started laughing before a squirt gun full of fake blood came out of his sleeve, revealing that he still had his right hand.
"Fooled you." said Roger.
He laughed.
"I had you going for a second." said Roger.
Hunter noticed the fake hand and became shocked.
"The hell?" said Hunter.
"Another good form of human realm magic. Oppitcal illusions." said Roger.
Hunter is shocked.
"Oppital illusions?" said Hunter.
"In this case, I convinced you that I was chopping off my hand, but the hand in question was actually fake." said Roger.
"Seriously though, why don't you do magic regularly?" said Hunter.
Roger sighed.
"I'd rather not talk about it." said Roger.
He walked into the basement and sat down on his gaming chair before tapping the Nintendo Switch button and a Nintendo Switch Pro controller appeared from the chair and Roger grabbed it.
He began playing Nickelodeon All Star Brawl 2 as Hunter sat down on another chair next to him with two Switch Joy Con's on a controller adaptor.
"What isn't there to talk about?" said Hunter.
"A lot." said Roger.
He then went to the battle part of the and chose the Jellyfish Fields stage before looking at the fighters.
"Let's just say that there's someone I don't want to have a run in with again." said Roger.
"I'm sure of it." said Hunter.
Meanwhile on Sledge's ship; Sledge, Fury, Wrench, Poisandra, Curio, and Snide were watching a magician similar to Spellbinder, but purple in coloring doing a card trick which failed miserably.
Sledge groaned in boredom and turned to Fury.
"Kill him." said Sledge.
Fury slashed the monster with his sword and the monster exploded.
"That was the worst magic act I've ever seen." said Snide.
"I know, why did we keep him here?" said Sledge.
"Because he was the only monster we had who was good with cards." said Curio.
"He wasn't that good if he got killed so quickly before sending him after a hero." said Wrench.
Sledge groaned.
"If only I had someone who was so good with magic." said Sledge.
Then a bunch of playing cards floated in the room, shocking the group.
"Hey what gives?" said Poisandra.
"Another card trick from the monster we just killed? He must really be good after all." said Curio.
The cards then floated around into a pile before in a puff of smoke, a monster similar to Slyther appeared, but was red and armed with a staff with a spade on it.
The monsters became shocked.
"What the hell?" said Sledge.
"Greetings, for I am Ilicon." the monster known as Ilicon said.
The monster's became confused.
"Ilicon? Why are you called that?" Said Poisandra.
Ilicon snapped his fingers and in a puff of smoke, Poisandra was turned into an old lady.
Sledge is shocked.
"MY WIFE!" He shouted.
Ilicon laughed.
"Because I'm an awesome magician." Said Ilicon.
He snapped his fingers again and turned Poisandra into a baby.
"Ok that's definitely a very Cute Baby!" spoke Fury and he saw everyone's looks. "What just because I'm evil doesn't mean I can't like babies?"
Ilicon snapped his fingers again, turning Poisandra back to normal.
"Someone just peed on my clothes. I don't know if it was old me or baby me." Poisandra said before doing some thinking, "Or just me, me."
"Probably Paul Rudd." said Wrench.
Sledge turned to Ilicon.
"Cause trouble for me, and I'll give you your own planet." said Sledge.
"Sure thing." said Ilicon.
He then turned into a bunch of playing cards and floated away.
"How does he do that?" said Curio.
