Came up with this while I let my mind wander, hope you enjoy!
Darkness and Light, Into the Chaos!
Holotape R-1.01
Don't know how it happened. One minute, watching the Courier leave the Divide. Saw a flash not long after the battle of Hoover Dam. Then opened my eyes to see myself in a city at night. No idea how I got there. I heard the sounds of battle nearby and went to investigate. Found a girl fighting some men, defeated them with ease. She tried to apprehend their leader, but he managed to escape. Flew off in some vertibird I put a few rounds in in an attempt to help. Didn't do any good except to give me away.
Was taken in for questioning by a woman. Called herself Goodwitch. Deputy headmaster of some "school" or another. Then met him. Said his name was Ozpin. He looked young, but his eyes spoke of a long and troubling history. It was then I discovered I was no longer in the Mojave. They had no idea what it even was. I was in a new world.
Remnant.
Ozpin, he asked me about myself. Didn't tell him everything, but told him enough. He explained where I was, who he was in this new world. Offered to let me come to his school, teach what I knew to his students so that they might face the dangers of this world. I asked what those dangers were, and he explained.
Grimm. Soulless monsters who's only instinct is to destroy. Much like the Tunnelers, and the beasts of the Mojave. Should probably study them, may find similarities in how they fight, how to defeat them. Already looked up a few. Deathstalkers. Much like the scorpions of the Mojave. Ursai, like the Yao Guai. Others I found both familiar and different. Still, I needed to know more.
I accepted Ozpin's offer, went to his "school" and met the other teachers. Huntsmen and Huntresses, defenders of humanity and exterminators of the grimm they claim. But they're hiding something. I'll find out in time. For now, have to learn more about this world, and its history. Perhaps then I can understand how I came here.
Gave me a new recorder to keep my thoughts. When I lost myself at the Divide, it was my own words, carried by the Courier, that brought me back. Hopefully will do the same if I ever stray from the right path.
And done! The first of what will probably be many holotapes. Hope you all enjoyed, leave a review, and i'll see you next time!
