Naruto: College Day's

Hinata stood outside her dorm room door almost shaking with nerves as she stared at the wooden door with a whiteboard that said 'Welcome' on black marker. Her cousin Nejo who was a year older told her about his Roommate he had last year and how he stayed up all hours of the night working out, of course now Lee was one of Neji's best friends even though he was a little strange to begin with.

Just as she was about to reach for the door handle it flew open and she was met with a girl with light pink hair, her eyes a beautiful green that Hinata was immediately jealous of.

"Hi!" she smiled, stretching out her hand and taking Hinata's empty one "I'm Sakura, and TenTen is setting her bunk up, you must be Hinata?"

"Y-yes, hello" the shy girl stuttered out as Sakura reached down, grabbing Hinata's suitcase from her and walking into the room Hinata followed behind. The dorm was larger than Hinata expected, there were two beds and two desks, a door off to the left that Hinata could see was a bathroom that led into what looked like the other room.

"So, you're rooming with TenTen, she's in the other room through the bathroom, I figured I would save anyone the pain from rooming with Ino."

"Hey! I heard that Sakura!"

Hinata jumped and spun towards the entrance, seeing a girl with a long blonde ponytail standing there with her arms crossed.

"Hinata, this is Ino, she and I went to highschool together."

"Tragic I know." Ino smiled as she walked across the room just as a girl walked through the bathroom, her brown hair up in two buns.

"Hinata? Hi I'm TenTen, don't mind them two they secretly are best friends." she laughed as the others crossed their arms and glared at her.

"Did you all go to school together?" Hinata asked as TenTen led her into the other room where he bed was, TenTen's side was already set up leaving Hinata the bed under a window which she told TenTen that was fine when she worried about if that would bother her. Hinata was happy they had a room that was at the end of the hall with a window to give the room some light.

"Yes, we went to Konoha Public school, though Sakura and Ino know each other a little better than me, I was more into sports and they were more into boys." TenTen laughed again when the girls yelled through the bathroom. "What about you?"

"I am from Konoha too, I went to a private school there."

As she said that the other two walked in sitting on TenTens bed with her as Hinata began unpacking, she learned that Ino and Sakura were bestfriend and rivals all in one. They competed over almost everything, including this one guy that they crushed all through highschool.

"There is a welcome party tonight, all our other friends are going to be there, you should come to Hinata!"

"Oh, I don't know, I'm not really a party person."

"Please! The guys will love you and I heard college is much easier with friends around!" Sakura smiled at her folding her hands in front of her chest practically begging the other girl,

"Well, I don't really have anything to wear for a party." she chewed on her lip as she looked at her open suitcase, which was mostly filled with casual clothes like jeans and tshirts.

"I am sure between the three of us we can find you something, besides with a body like yours you'll look good in anything." Ino smiled as Hinata blushed.

The next few hours were spent with all the girls getting dressed and doing each other's hair and makeup. TenTen wore jeans and a band tee, the collar cute into a low V and the shirt also cropped showing off her midsection with a pair of combat boots, her hair still in buns though her makeup was now down a little more edgy than before. Sakura's pink short hair straightened her makeup sultry as she wore a teal green dress that brought out her eyes with heels that matched showing off her legs and figure. Ino had her hair in her ponytail though she curled the end of it, wearing a jean mini shirt, with a fishnet skirt and a bandeau that left little to the imagination, with above the knee boots.

They tried to dress Hinata in a dress but when she refused finally settled on tight ripped jeans, some ankle boots and a cropped t-shirt of TenTens that was a little more girly then the one she wore. Her long dark hair was pulled up off her neck and into a high bun, her bangs framing her face which had been done up in a natural yet glowy makeup look. Hinata was surprised how friendly and nice the girls were and was happy she did not end up with a psycho roommate.

Just as they gathered their purses up Hinata picked up her phone to see she had missed a call from her cousin. Quickly she called him back.

"About time you called back." his voice sounded from the other side of the phone sounding stressed.

"Hello Neji," Hinata smiled as he watched the other girls stop moving and stare at her when they heard a male's name.

"I was calling to make sure you were not murdered and made it to your dorm, I called over an hour ago." he grumbled, causing Hinata to giggle.

"I am fine and my roommates are friendly, we are actually headed to the welcome party now."

"You mean the party in a house filled with drunk morons? I will meet you there." and with that hung up the phone

"Neji?" Sakura asked, smirking at Hinata, making her laugh.

"He is my older cousin, he was a freshman last year, and watches me like an older brother." she explained as they all began to walk down the hall of their dorm.

"And single?" Ino asked, looping her arm through Hinata's, making the dark haired girl giggle and nod yes.

Hinata listened to the girls talk about the friends that they were going to meet at the party, Sasuke -who Sakura and Ino were crushing on- Naruto, Sasuke's best friend and the way the other described him was a hyper knucklehead. Shikamaru, who was a genius but lazy, then Choji who apparently could eat a whole buffet on his own. The house they arrived at was already filled with people walking around with red solo cups, some already stumbling. Sakura led them through the crowd in a way that Hinata could only describe as a bull in a china shop, they finally made it into the kitchen where there was a group of guys hanging out in the corner.

"Sasuke!" Sakura yelled over the music as we got closer causing the dark haired man with dark eyes to look up and nod his head to her as they approached. After introductions for Hinata and passing out drinks that Choki had gotten up to get the girls, they wandered out of the kitchen and to the back yard which had more space. After a while Sakura looked around then back at Sasuke.

"Where's Naruto?"

"Oh that idiot got stuck playing beer pong somehow."

Hinata tensed when she felt an arm rest on her shoulder and a warm body next to her.

"You wouldn't be talking about this idiot would you." a deep voice said as Hinata turned and looked up at what must have been one of the most handsome men she had ever seen. His blonde hair was messy sticking up at all angles, he had deep blue eyes filled with a light as his face was lit up with a smile stretching the strange whisker marks he had on his face. Hinata felt her body heat up as he turned and looked at her.

"Who's your friend Sakura?" he asked, turning to Sakura, who he had slung his other arm over his red solo cup dangling dangerously from his fingers, almost falling when Sakura rolled her eyes and pushed his arm off of her.

"Hinata, this is Naruto, Naruto this is my roommate Hinata."

"Who you can kindly remove your arm from."

They all turned to look at the new voice and Hinata smiled but before she could say anything Naruto basically jumped on her cousin clapping his back.

"Neji, good to see you, what brings you to a party like this?"

"My cousin." he nodded his head towards her and Naruto let out another yell as he threw his arm back over Hinata's shoulder and talked about how Neji and they all met in a martial arts class back in Konoha.

Eventually, Hinata wasn't sure how, but she ended up a little drunk and walking back to her dorm with Naruto. His arm still casually slung over her shoulder.

"Neji and TenTen really hit it off huh?" he laughed and Hinata giggled with him remembering the look on the pairs face when she introduced them.

"Yes they did, though thinking about where they disappeared makes me nauseous." she giggled as Naruto nodded in agreement.

"So you went to school with Sakura and them?"

"Yeah, I've known them all since I was a kid, along with Kiba and Shino who couldn't make it tonight, they live off campus and decided to drive back and forth I guess."

By the time they got outside of Hinata's dorm he had told her all about how he met the others, how Saskue moved in with him and his guardian Jiraya when they were younger, Hinata felt his pain when he said he was orphaned as a baby his parents died in a car accident, she told him about her mother getting sick and passing, her body felt warm when he hugged her tightly to him as if they had known each other for years.

"So I know we just met and all, but would you mind if I get your number?" he rubbed the bc of his head, his eyes looking anywhere but at her making her laugh as she held out her hand.

"Promise you're not a crazy stalker?"

"Promise." he laughed and handed over his phone watching as she entered her number.

"Thank you for walking me back."

"Anytime, I sent you a text, let me know when you get inside your room."

"Okay." Hinata whispered with a nod before she turned and unlocked the door to her building, flashing the woman at the front desk her ID before heading up to her room.

"About time you got home! We were worried and we forgot to get your number." Just as Hinata was about to send a message letting Naruto know she made it inside, Ino snatched her phone to put her number in and squealed when she was texting.

"I knew you and Naruto would hit it off!"

"What! You're kidding!" Sakura yelled jumping up from her bed and looking at the phone, "Tell us everything!"

Hinta laughed waiting for the girls to send a text to their own phones and TenTen's who was still out with Neji, before she took her phone back sending the text to Naruto and a quick apology and telling him about Sakura's and Ino's reaction to them texting.

"Nothing happened, we talked and he walked me home, but he is very cute." Hinata blushed as the other girls squealed.

"He is a good guy, a little slow sometimes but a sweetheart, and a great kisser." Sakura laughed

"You guys have kissed?"

"Oh freshman year of highschool, we dated some he thought he loved me, of course we are better friends."

With a nod Hinata said something about heading to bed, still needing to unpack some more.

A few minutes after Hinata changed and grabbed her things to shower her phone buzzed with a text.

Naruto: oh I know all about them, no need to apologize lol I hope you had a good night !

Hinata: I did, yes, about to shower then sleep and finish unpacking tomorrow… You didnt tell me you and Sakura dated.

After she sent the text she wished she could unsend it as she started the water to the shower and stripped out of her party clothes before letting the hot water wash away the smell of beer. She took her time in the shower washing her hair twice, As she got out she was almost afraid to look at her phone. Naruto was a stranger, there was no reason why she should be concerned about what he did in highschool.

Naruto: I was wondering if that would come up with how they gossip, we dated for about a year, but It was over before that. We were young, dumb and horny. Definitely better friends.

As Hinata read the text message she couldn't help feeling jealous at the thought that Sakura was his first. Again she thought about how silly she sounded, yes Naruto was gorgeous and funny but they weren't dating and who knows if they even would. Another thought was she was a virgin and he and the others obviously were not. Again a place she didn't really seem to fit in.
