Chapter 8

1 year later

One year had passed since I had allied myself to Olga.

It was an eventful year.

The first thing I did was spruce up the place and make a greenhouse in the fortress underground.

The badlands have no food to offer to its inhabitants but to the most extreme predators only. Due to this, Olga had her monsters pillage across the kingdom's outskirts in order to feed her herself and her army. Unfortunately, her orcs would consume all of their bounty in a week, forcing Olga to make hard choices.

Like dealing with the pig brothers.

The Mortadella Brothers are a pair of rich beastmen who do various businesses.

One of them is slavery.

Any excess women pillaged for breeding are to be sold to the brothers.

It's the only reason why Olga's army never starved to death.

I killed all the women in the underground breeding ground in mercy before I bought 10 GMs with AIs from the catalog to work on it.

After clearing it up, the GMs dug it to find dead soil.

So I bought DG cells.

DG cells are weird but they did their job in enriching the earth beneath the fortress.

Olga got a weird look in learning the DG cells ability to bring back life to the dead earth but I didn't pay it any mind. I had work to do.

Creating solar panels from scratch was a fun and learning experience. Materials are very scarce in the badlands which forced me to buy 20 more GMs and spread them around the badlands to mine and find minerals to be used.

They returned with iron, copper and the rare gold.

Using these materials, I made fabricators and furnaces. With my fabricators and furnaces, I got to make my tools which I used to make my crown jewel.

A GN Drive Engine.

My GMs had been working hard, meaning their energy levels are low. In order to remedy this, I bought the GN Drive which provides infinite energy to an MS.

I decided not to install it to an MS but instead make a GN charge station for my GM workers.

It worked like a charm.

In no time, I had my solar panels up and working and lighting up the Green House through the GN Drive.

It only took me 2 weeks of work.

With the Solar panels up and running, this led to me and Chloe sneaking into Feoh and buying seeds and animals for the underground greenhouse.

I bought a Loto, a transformable MA which can hold many products in our grocery run.

Chloe didn't like me. At all.

She only talked to if Olga wants something relayed or if needed. At all times, she regularly avoided me. The ride inside the Loto was tense and quiet even with the hidden amazement in Chloe's eyes to the machine.

We hid the MA in the forest before I left, leaving behind Chloe to guard the MA.

I trust that she won't steal it. Not that she knows how to drive in the first place.

I made repeated trips, in order to not rouse any suspicion and avoid any bandits in the trip.

By the end of the day, we drove back with a load of products behind. 6 chickens, 1 rooster, 5 sacks of grain, multiple pouches filled with various vegetable seeds and a bunch of tree saplings.

The lack of meat is because of the Dark elves being vegetarian. Bunch of green loving degenerates.

Coding the GMs to learn how to farm took a while but we had the greenhouse up and running.

Food is no longer a problem.

Oh, at one point, the Mortadella Brothers visited us for any slaves.

I killed them with my recharged Unicorn. I ripped them apart to pieces and enjoyed it.

Chloe would forever deny she enjoyed the sight of the pig brothers screaming but Olga liked the display, the wicked grin on her face is evident after the slaughter.

Food and a base of operations have been secured.

It's time for research.

First thing I did is find out what happened before I blacked out.

Going through the Unicorn's black box, I found out I activated the MS Psychoframes.

The NTD mode or Newtype Destroy mode.

It's no wonder I blackout. Going through the records, the MS health monitoring system had recorded multiple injuries in the few minutes I used the Psychoframes.

Multiple broken bones, torn muscles and brain hemorrhage.

The last one is the most worrying. By using the Psychoframes, I activated the suits I-field and shaped and expanded it to its outmost limit to stop whatever that attack was.

The human brain is not meant for this actions. Thankfully, whatever brought me back home healed me from any permanent damage.

This is how I found how weak the human body is. This led me delving into biology.

So I experimented.

It's just fortunate that I had someone in mind who I could use for an experiment.

Chloe refused at first.

But then I showed her the experiment.

To pilot the Unicorn's sister unit, the Banshee.

A direct contrast to the Unicorn, the Banshee is pure black in color. Both MS are too similar except for it's color and weapons.

The Banshee had built in weapons, the armed armor VN and BS. VN or Vibro claws are foldable claws which uses vibration to cut through materials. It's highly effective against tough armor as they destroy the molecular structure of the material. BS or Beam Smartgun is a Beam gun which uses Psychoframes. By receiving brainwaves from the pilot, it charges the weapon with a beam that moves in an undulating motion that also tracks the target.

Chloe cannot hide her excitement and glee in the chance of piloting the Banshee but I need to make a flight suit for her first.

It here that I learned why Elves wore very little or loose clothing. They had very sensitive skin which could feel anything. This led to elven warriors being so formidable as they could feel the disturbance in the air by their skin.

It was like their sense of touch is dialed up to eleven.

So I ended up making her purple plugsuit that clung to her like a second skin. (Asuka's plugsuit in Evangelion but purple.)

She loved it so much, I had to make an entire closet worth of it. Chloe had been wearing these suits since then.

Teaching Chloe how to pilot an MS was a wild ride. We decided to practice outside of the fortress.

Watching her fail how to fly is like rewatching myself. She crashed too many times and tripped over her own feet I stopped counting.

But Chloe is anything but stubborn.

It took her 2 weeks until she mastered MS movements and flight.

Then I started the experiment.

The experiment is simple. Chloe must use the Banshee's NTD system and go through various flight drills.

The results are astonishing.

Chloe had zero injuries or any muscle strain at all. With only the adrenaline of flight, she is absolutely fine.

Meanwhile, going through the brain scanners, I found a very great discovery.

Psychoframes strain the human brain in its usage but Chloe's brain activity isn't showing any strain. Instead, it was very active throughout the drills.

Further investigation showed that she could actually perceive through the speeds she is going under the NTD mode.

That means that the Psychoframes is actually enhancing her brain activity and giving her an increase in her cognitive ability to process details and use it.

It was revolutionary.

But how do I use it?

That's how I turned to the DG cells. DG cells had three functions: self-replication, self-recovery and self-evolution.

It was the evolution part that I'm after.

It took me months but I did the impossible.

I managed to create a Psycho-Frame, a piece which looked like a blue gem, which could control and manipulate DG cells under my control.

I then coded my GMs to do a perfect operation on my brain. The procedure is simple yet dangerous. It's to safely implant the Gem on my forehead which will inject copious amounts of DG cells in the brain. The rest would be done by the cells as they would start going active after exposure to the brain. They would self-replicate at a very accelerated rate, filling the entire brain before spilling over the rest of the body until it's fully infected.

That's when I would wake up and use the Psycho-Frame gem which I dubbed Mainframe.

Chloe didn't like my plan, voicing her worry. I teased her about it which she vehemently denied.

Our weeks of experimenting and training with the Banshee had made our relationship close.

It was friendship in my opinion. Something I didn't mind.

Meanwhile Olga didn't deny me in my bid of self-mutilation. She trusts my ability to keep myself alive she said.

With that encouragement in mind, I fell asleep and woke up a new person.

The operation was a success and failure.

It was a success in its main objective to implant the mainframe and infect myself with DG cells.

I'm now a super soldier in a sense by Kai's words.

My strength is now enhanced, able to lift the Unicorn over my head. My body can now handle the NTD system with zero side effects or any injuries. I also gained a powerful regeneration.

But the most prized gain I got in the operation is the ability to control any Psycho-Frame technology or MS.

That means I could now control the Unicorn without piloting it from the inside.

Which led to the side effects of the operation.

I'm now incapable of feeling emotions.

Due to the DG cells infecting most of my brain and enhancing it beyond it's normal capacity, the DG cells had deemed the chemicals that produces the emotional spectrum was a waste of brain activity.

I have basically neutered my emotional capabilities.

The result was beyond my understanding.

Revenge is no longer a necessity, it's now an objective.

I'm now akin to a machine, cold and calculating.

The dark elves didn't like the development but it must be done. They had to settle with what the new me is now.

For now, I have to research and develop a lot of ideas popping in my mind.

Chloe's POV

She didn't like Mika, the human.

At first, she only viewed her as a threat to her Queen.

But he was different from the rest.

Unlike other men who looked at her with lustful eyes, Mika only viewed her with hidden disgust much to her confusion and embarrassment.

What is she missing? she didn't know.

She once thought him to be gay but their first night together broke such a notion.

One of her conditions in being his lab rat (albeit piloting the Banshee was worth it) was for him to help her of her condition.

That is to sleep with her.

She never once revealed why she has such condition but he never asked why.

He might be considerate or just a typical man who likes women, she would never know.

She made sure to put some ground rules.

One, only her can request for sex. So no sex for him if he wants to. It's her way only.

Two, she's always on top.

Their first night together was awkward and embarrassing but we pulled through.

I found out that his a cuddler and a loving lover.

She really liked how he cuddles her at every

session.

And the his operation happened.

He became muted.

Cold and Stoic.

This is not Mika.

I had deep worries of his operation and I tried to stop him from doing it. I even got Olga-sama's help but it didn't work.

His thirst vengeance is too great even if doesn't show it.

The man who built an impossible greenhouse under the fortress and provided us security for a year was gone in one night.

So I did something I could never think of doing.

I invited him to sleep with me.

An invitation he stoically accepted.

That night I let him do all the work.

The old Mika is still there.

Moaning and screaming his name, she can see a glimpse of passion and want in his eyes even how he robotically fucked me to unconscious with no rest (she blames the DG cells for his increase in stamina).

From then on, she decided to be his lover.

to bring back the old Mika.

Her only friend.

Olga's POV

Mika is probably the most exceptional man and hero to date.

Mika might deny it but he is a hero.

A person who had been gifted by unknown gods or goddesses with abilities or talents that far beyond this era.

She had face multiple heroes in the past due to the Goddess intervention.

As of now, it's the Shield princesses are the current era's heroes.

Discovering Mika was a surprise and a welcomed one. Snatching him from Celestine is much more satisfying.

Jaded and vengeful, he's the perfect weapon against Celestine and her order.

Mika's ability to forge and create marvels of technology and war machines would be a huge match against that big breasted elf.

It's the reason why she didn't dissuaded Mika's operation even if Chloe begged.

Watching their relationship grew was like watching story. A story she loved.

Both are them stubborn at a fault, even butting heads on occasions. In the end, the two developed a mutual respect with one another. Mika respected Chloe's loyalty to me while Chloe respected Mika's capabilities.

Then they started bonding.

I watched them practice in their armors from afar to make sure Chloe won't get hurt. It was huge suprise that Mika would give her a black armor comparable to his.

How fitting.

Then they started sleeping with each other. It was inevitable. Chloe's condition is getting worse due to the lack of outlet.

Once again, I cursed Chloe's father who trained her into becoming a slave. Even after years after she saved her, the damage is still there.

She hoped the two of them could help each other.

But the operation had a huge effect to Mika.

The old Mika died as a new one replaced him.

A new Mika who is a machine than a person.

A weapon.

It was sad to see it but it happened.

Fortunately, looks like Chloe isn't giving up on her only friend.

Watching the two make love with passion, there is still hope to bring back the old Mika if Chloe works hard.

How adorable.

Deep inside the void, Mika's dealer watched another world.

A smile stretched across it's blackened face.

" You would do nicely."

I made it a 1 year timeskip for now.

Also Mika turned himself into a super soldier through the usage of DG cells which are calibrated to follow the Psycho-Frame gem's order which is directly implanted to his forehead to his brain.

Why it's placement?

A Psycho-Frame is just too big to install inside the brain so he had put it on his forehead directly connected to his brain.

Kinda like Marvels Vision.

Also the DG cells killed his emotional capabilities in its self-evolution.

Emotions are irrelevant to evolution after all.

But Mika can control the DG cells, so he could regenerate this parts and feel emotions again.

But he won't do it. Because in Mika's current mindset akin to supercomputer, it is illogical to waste brain power to an illogical products.

So Mika is now a robot but still aware of it.

Thankfully, he got Chloe for it.

Be prepared to future shenanigans because it's time to go to a new world.

A world dominated by women.
