I forgot to tell that Angelina is based on Jewelina from Jewelpet Sunshine; she does have an angelic appearance. Plz don't hate me for what happened to the academy... especially if you liked Sunshine. Okay, this one will contain reminders of Longclaw the owl, but remember, AU.

Granite and Ruby hurried back to the group, and they were worried yet annoyed... If you recall, Granite just restored and strengthened his bond with his sister when Garnet let out a scream. "If this is over another broken nail...," Ruby snarled as they ran. "Well it better not be mud either!" Granite added. The pair smiled and laughed at their statements.
When they reached their friends, they saw Garnet sobbing uncontrollably as she clung onto a flustered Tails. Garnet's Jewelpod was on the ground, and it is still on a video call with a girl. "What's going on?" Ruby asked. The others looked to notice her and Granite. "My poor cafe!" Garnet whined between tears. "Maybe we should put this on speaker," Amy suggested and pressed the speaker button on the Jewelpod. "Hey, kid, you're on speaker now!" Knuckles said.
"Okay... um...," said the caller, who was a little confused right now. "My name is Chiari, a high schooler from Happiness Boarding School. Is the manager okay?" "Manager?" the group except Garnet questioned. "Garnet and Flora usually live at our school just above the Jewelpet Cafe," said a girl as she joined Chiari's side. "I'm Nene by way and that's Ruruka." Another girl came into view. "So does this mean that Flora and Garnet work at this cafe?" Cream asked. The girls nodded in response. "I bet there's trouble and you wanted to tell Garnet," Amy guessed. The girls nodded. "Come to the cafe as soon as possible. Flora's on the way too!" Chiari said with a wave as the call ended.
After a brief pause, Speck broke the silence. "Well, I guess we should go to Happiness next. Afterall, we need to find out if 11 is there anyway," he stated. He then glanced at the still sobbing Garnet with worry. "Besides, we can't let Garnet down." "But I already made arrangements to the magic school," Jasper retorted. "Well then, I guess we split up to check each school," Tails suggested. "Good idea!" Opal agreed.
Garnet's a Manager!? Save the Jewelpet Cafe!
Happiness Boarding School, also known as Happiness Academy, is a vast campus with students from grades K-12. The Headmistress Lil' Lina (As everyone calls her), runs the school with a happy smile that welcomes all students and teachers of all sorts. Pretty soon, the former students and faculty of Sunshine will be welcomed here... just as soon as construction is complete that is...
When lunchtime comes, the students are allowed to leave campus to eat in town (but they must be back in time for class), but most students decided to eat at the Jewelpet Cafe. Where they enjoy the service of the upbeat waitresses and savor the food cooked by Chef Flora and the kind hearted elderly couple who work there. Business was great and arrangements were well organized by the cafe's efficient manager.
When Lilia took over, the manager and Flora left for the manor. Well, business wasn't as good as before but it wasn't bad. The remaining staff worked hard along with the replacement manager... until now...
Just outside the empty cafe, Jasper's portal appeared. Ruby, Granite, Sonic, Amy, Opal, Speck, and Tails (holding Garnet) jumped out, and the portal closed. Granite pulled out his Jewelpod and contacted the others at the magic school. "We just arrived safely," he reported. "Great, if we don't find anything here, we'll come over right away," Jasper responded on his Jewelpod. "Are you sure you don't want to come with us?" Knuckles asked through the Jewelpod. Granite looked at Ruby who was still upset over the tragic loss. "I know we're partners, but I need to be with Ruby for a while," Granite responded. "Hey! Don't be mean to her!" Cream's voice yelled through the Jewelpod. "Oh boy, we'd better do something about that. Gotta go!" Knuckles said. "Wait! Knuckles! It's not a good idea to get involved in a cat--" Jasper's voice was called off as the call ended. Amy actually pressed the call end button. "Don't worry. Cream can handle herself," Amy assured. The boys sweatdropped while Opal smiled confidently. (Ruby had a puzzled face though)
A little girl with blonde hair approached them. "I see you have arrived," she said. The group turned to see the little girl. Even Garnet stopped crying and saw her. She smiled with joy. "Miss Lil' Lina!" she rejoyced as she lept out of Tails' arms and into the girl's welcoming arms. "It's good to see you again too!" the girl giggled. "Hold on," Sonic said in realization. "Does this mean you're Lil' Lina, Jewelina's older sister and the Headmistress!?" Lil' Lina simply closed her eyes and giggled in response. The group let out a shocked yell.
They weren't the only ones shocked by this reveal. Lilia's shocked scream echoed throughout Jewel Palace as she viewed the records that Pebble gave her. "How can she look so young and yet be so old?!" Lilia frantically asked. "Accidental spilling of an ageless potion when she was actually 7 years old pen-pen," Pebbles answered. "But that's not why Fang left record duty to go to that school." Lilia got over her shock as she looked at the little stool pigeon. (uh... stool penguin) "And why are you tattling on the weasle?" she asked him. "He's jealous of Bean that's what; he wants to try to break our enemies' fighting spirits pen-pen," he answered.
Lilia thought to herself and came up with a wicked scheme. "Pebble, my dearest little penguin, I need you to go find him and give him special instructions. He can continue his ssilly plan. But if your lead is right, we'll be able to get rid of another sly little weasle..." she said with an onimous tone and a cruel smile.
Meanwhile, the group is sitting inside the cafe after getting over the shock and learning why Lil' Lena looks so young. Chiari, Ruruka, Nene, and the chefs are sitting nearby. Of course, they just made another discovery.
"Why didn't anyone say that Garnet's the manager of the cafe?" Amy asked. Chef Flora, who arrived a few minutes ago, shrugged. "You never asked," the lamb responded. Garnet looked around the empty cafe; three other waitresses were cleaning dust and cobwebs off the empty boothes. She was at a loss for words as her eyes watered in sadness. "When did these problems start?" Amy asked. "Just a few days ago, gar," a mechanical voice responded. They turned to see a mechanical robot with a collar and tag. (the tag was a garnet with a gear inside) The robot looked a lot like Garnet. "Greetings visitors," the robot greeted and bowed its head. "I am Mecha Garnet, the acting manager of Jewelpet Cafe. I was created by the Happiness Robotics Club via Garnet's request ga." "Whoa, those students are sure to have promising careers in mechanics," Tails commented as he got a closer view of Mecha Garnet. "Eh, due to my experience with metal doubles, I'm not that interested," Sonic responded as he looked away in boredom. Amy and Tails rolled their eyes in response.
"Activating function to ignore your friend's rude respose ga," Mecha Garnet beeped. "We recieved low business since we recieved a harsh and cruel critical review from a critic. Uploading data now ga." Mecha Garnet created a hologram of a snooty owl lady wearing elegant clothes. Sonic turned his head curiously and held a look of surprise. "She looks similar to... Longclaw...," he quietly said to him.

"Hold it! Hold it!" Sonic suddenly interrupted. When Mecha Garnet mentioned Longclaw, it caught his interest. "Did you say Longclaw, as in Master Longclaw?" "Master Longclaw doesn't compute ga," the robot responded and tilted its head. "Sonic, you told me uhh.. 'she' was a sensitive topic," Tails responded with concern. Sonic looked as though he saw a ghost... "What's wrong, Sonic?" Sonic didn't answer Tails' question and suddenly ran of the cafe. "Sonic wait!" Tails shouted as the kit began to pursue him. "Wait guys!" Speck called out. Before he and the Jewelpets could follow, Amy held her hand out and shook her head.
Chiari decided to speak up. "What Mecha Garnet was trying to say was, a harsh review from that critic did this," she explained.
Flashback
Ms. Hoot snootily has her back to the cafe as she leaves. "I would give zero stars if I could!" she says to Mecha Garnet and Chiari who stood at the door.
End Flashback.
"That's what she as she left," Chiari sadly said as she hung her head. "Now our luck is worse than ever." "Things are even worse than that time when the cream spinach got mixed in with the--" Ruruka began but was cut off when Nene covered her mouth. "I thought we agreed to never speak of that inccident again," Nene reminded and removed her hand. Chef Flora puffed her cheeks and held her front hooves over mouth in response. (I can't even stomach what probably happened...) "Well, we gotta think of something. Any ideas?" Amy suggested. Silence responded...
Meanwhile, Tails was looking around one of the paths since he had lost sight of Sonic. He soon found the hedgehog breathing heavily, hyperventilating to be exact, as he had placed a hand on a nearby tree for support. "Sonic, are you OK?" Tails asked as he walked over. Sonic looked at him while still breathing heavily. The fox placed his hand the hedgehog's shoulder in comfort. Sonic started to calm down and removed his hand from the tree. "Sorry for making a scene..." Sonic apologized. "Do you want to talk about it? I understand if you don't," Tails comforted. "Well, I just... haven't thought about her in a long time," Sonic said. He was unsure if he should or shouldn't talk about it.
"Nice job. What an awful review," a very very familiar voice said. Sonic and Tails looked towards the voice's direction: past the bushes. They looked at each other and nodded, then they snuck into the bushes. They looked over the bushes and saw the owner of the voice... Fang! Who was he meeting with? Ms. Hoot!?
Ms. Hoot held her wing out as Fang placed a big burlap bag in it. "Just as we agreed," he told her. "That fact that the manager is Garnet...," Ms. Hoot said and shuddered at thr name. "Is also perfect persuasion. That cat's business ideas always caused trouble. The surrounding restaurants that met my expectations have been going out of business. That ruffles my reptutation!" "Well, that should damper their fighting spirit," Fang stated with a sneer. Sonic and Tails grew anger as they heard Ms. Hoot say, "But it lines my pockets with money!" The wicked pair let out evil laughter. (Ms. Hoot's laugh is filled with hoots)

Tails knew these two were not getting away with this scheme. So he pulled out his spy camera and took a picture of them... of course, he forgot to turn off the flash...
"Was that a camera flash!?" Ms. Hoot squawked. Fang immediately pulled out a net cannon and fired where the flash came from. Before they could react, Sonic and Tails were ensnared in the net. "Well, well, well," Fang responded as he approached his catch. "If it isn't the hedgehog and the snoop."
"What's was that!" Fang turned towards a voice in the distance. "Well, whatever it was, it sounded like trouble," another voice said. "We got company coming!" Fang said with panic. He pulled out a car key and pressed a button. A large hover vehicle flew to him in response. Then he pressed another button; it triggered a robot claw that picked up the boys and dropped them in the hold. Ms. Hoot caught on to his actions and plopped into the back seat.
"Gotta make ourselves scarce," Fang said as he got into the driver's seat and drove off. After he left, four teen boys appeared on the scene to see nothing but leaves and branches on the path. The boy with glasses picked up a photo on the ground. The one with black hair managed to catch a glimpse of Fang's vehicle in the distance. His eyes narrowed when he saw Ms. Hoot riding inside. "Follow them," he simply said.
Back at the cafe, Lil' Lina got an idea and expressed it. "How about if I tell students to come here or get expelled. Or maybe I could offer extra credit," she announced. "No!" Garnet blurted out. She then winced at her behavior. "Excuse me." After composing herself, Garnet spoke in a firm yet respectful voice. "We won't force customers to come here. I won't allow this cafe to stoop so low as to threats and bribes. The slogan of Jewepet Cafe is to share Happiness with everyone. And that's something no critic can take away from us!"
The mood shifted to shock when the front door swung open. The boy from earlier came in. "Sanada senpai!" Chiari squeaked with red cheeks. He approached the group and placed two things on the table. "Look at these," he requested. As they leaned in they gasped in shock. The items were a blue quill and the photo of Fang and Ms. Hoot. (Tails must've dropped it when the bad guys weren't looking)
"Is that a bag of payment in her wings?!" Nene noticed as her eyes narrowed. Garnet stared at the photo and her expression slowly changed to anger. "She accepted a bribe..." Garnet stated and let out a cat growl. Amy picked up the quill. "Sonic and Tails must've found out," she surmized. "Oh my, they must've been discovered," Opal feared. Sanada gave a reassuring smile and said, "Don't worry. My friends are on the weasle's tail."
In one of the campus storage units, Fang has parked his vehicle inside until the coast is clear, or close enough. He looked up at Sonic and Tails still in the net as it hung from the ceiling. "Jewelilia was right about you sneaking around," he said. "Why are you and the Hooligans following her orders anyway?" Sonic yelled. "Don't you guys know that trusting thag woman is really dangerous?" Tails yelled. "Quiet down!" Ms. Hoot demanded. She sat at a table with a tea set. She took a sip from a teacup. "Oh, you think we'll listen to someone like you?" Tails retorted. "You bring shame to Longclaw's name!" The kit realized that he said the wrong thing.
Ms. Hoot got up and approached the pair; Fang backed away for he Did not want to get involved. "I had enough of that name," she said calmly with her eyes shut. "When we were chicks, my sister was invited to attend the magic school where she eventually graduated with honors." She then opened her eyes and her face showed absolute insanity and anger. "After that is was always 'Longclaw this' 'Longclaw that' 'Longclaw you are amazing!' Never in my life did I hear others praise me! You could imagine the satisfaction I felt after I pushed her into that void she conjured."
Sonic's eyes widened and narrowed at the old bird. "You Betrayed her just because you were Jealous?!" he responded. Trembling behind a box Fang peeked out and added. "Uhhh... he right. The Longclaw you mentioned happens to be the wise sorceress who suddenly appeared in our world--" he quivered but went back into hiding after Ms. Hoot shouted, " SHUT UP!!"
"Well I'm not going to 'Shut up!' No! I'm going to tell you what I see in your sister!" Sonic responded. He wasn't going to let anyone sling mud onto Longclaw's name, even her own sister.
Flashback
A young Sonic nervously approached an old wooden door of a wooden hut in a dense forest.
"When I was young, I has zero control over my abilities," Sonic voiced over as his young self lightly knocked on the door. "So my parents sent me to Longclaw to tame my powers." The door opened to reveal Longclaw who has a welcoming smile on her face.
"For a while training was tough." Young Sonic falls down after failing to control his speed. Longclaw gently placed her wing on him. He looked up and smiled at his patient teacher. "But my master was always so patient and understanding." Overtime, the little Sonic learned to master his speed and skills.
After a bit of time, Young Sonic bidded farewell to Longclaw. "When my training was done, I returned home." A few days later, the kid payed to her. "But Longclaw was more than my teacher or master. She was..." Montage moments showed the different fun times the pair shared with each other. "...Like family..."
One day, he picked a small yellow sunflower and began to run to the forest. "Until that sad day..." His eye widened in horror as he stopped at the edge of the forest. The forest was burning with a heavy fire. The flower fell from his hand as he just collasped to his knees. The poor kid began to cry, because nothing nor no one could survive that fire.
Flashback ends
"It was a hot summer and it hardly rained at all," Sonic said with a sad tone. "I never saw Master Longclaw again..." "Sonic..." Tails said as he placed his hand on Sonic's shoulder. Believe it or not, Fang took off his hat in respect to the owl.
Ms. Hoot stood frozen as she muttered, "she's... dead??..."
Sonic's sadness changed to determination as he added something else. "After that day, I decided to keep running, so I wouldn't be too slow to help others! And I know Master Longclaw is smiling down at me with pride." Tails looked at him with pride.
"Ugh! Even in death, she constantly bothers my sanity!" Ms. Hoot yelled. "I can't believe someone could be so cruel to a member of their family," Fang whispered as he shook his head.
Suddenly, the storage door rose up as 3 boys entered the room. Ms. Hoot recognized them for they are part of the school's popular band. Thinking quickly, she acted relieved. "Oooh finally, someone came to the rescue!" she hooted. "Nice try, Ms. Hoot, but you're the guilty party here," Sonic responded. "And I'm outta here!" Fang panicked as he got on his hover vehicle and drove off. The vehicle hovered over the newcomers and zoomed off. Ms. Hoot straightened herself and adjusted her spectacles as she looked at the pair. "Now now, let's not get confused. It is my word against your word," she stated.
Sonic and Tails both smirked as the fox pulled out a pen. "Actually," Tails said as he pressed a button on the side of the pen. It played a recording of Ms. Hoot and Fang when he gave her the money. "Its your word against yours," he finished. "Nice one, buddy," Sonic said with a chuckle. "Thanks. I saw it in a movie," Tails responded. Ms. Hoot turned to see the cafe group now on the scene with some police officers... You're busted sweetheart, Boom!

An hour later, the group returned to the cafe and enjoyed the food. Fang got away, but the old bird was arrested and stripped of her social status. Mecha Garnet was processing what happened. "According to my calculations, the critic we recieved is hereby null and void ga," it beeped. "Are you sure you guys are okay?" Amy asked Sonic and Tails. "Aside from feeling a little claustrophobic, we're okay," Sonic stated as he stretched. Lil' Lina approached the group. "You'll be happy to know that customers will come more frequently so both managers don't have to worry about it anymore!" she happily reported. Garnet and the others breathed a sigh of relief and happiness.
Lil' Lina's face suddenly changed to disappointment. "Unfortunately, we haven't had any new students since before Lilia stole my sister's crown. So I'm afraid you won't find this uh... 11 here," she sighed. "I guess our work here is done," Speck sighed in disappointment. The little girl petted Speck's head and smiled; it made his tail wagged. "Well, I did some digging up on studies on the Gooey Marshlands and found this," she said and dropped a piece of paper in front of him. Speck brought the paper over to Tails and the pair began to study it.
Granite's Jewelpod began to ring. The lion pulled it out and looked at the caller id. "Its Jasper. I'll put him on speaker," he said as he answered the call. "You're on speaker, Jasper." "So are you," Jasper responded. "Things are okay here, but 11 wasn't here," Granite reported. He heard Knuckles groan on Jasper's end. "Jasper warned you not to get involved!" Charotte scolded. "Ow! Don't touch my cheek!" Knuckles yelled. Jasper chuckled nervously then gave his report. "No sign of 11 here, but I think we need to take someone back to the manor for some rest. We'll meet up at the cafe shortly." Jasper hung up.
"Wonder what trouble Knux got himself into," Sonic replied. "No idea, but I do know that the regal academy at Crystal Academy is quite different from here," Opal stated. "How so?" Ruby asked. Opal used her front hoof to flip her mane. "Crystal Regal Academy is a place of refinement that teaches young woman to be lovely ladies and young men to be fine gentlemen," the alicorn explained. "So it's a finishing school?" Sonic asked without much enthusiasm. "Of course not!" Ruby argued. "My dear friend Luea wrote a letter to me about her time there. The school also promotes individuality." Sonic gave a bored yawn in response. Ruby huffed at his reponse and turned away from him; Opal copied her action.
"Hey guys, listen to this," Tails called out. "Apparently, our 'pal' Ralph was kicked out of Happiness for this report. It discusses creating life from the goo using dark magic." "Dark magic?! Is he crazy!?" Ruby screamed as she and Opal stopped huffing. "Hold on, listen to this," Speck urged. "According to this, the creature can use its gooey body to shapeshift into anything, even a human." "Wait a minute," Amy spoke up. "I just had a thought. If 11 is actually posing as a student at Crystal Academy, and the school is at the Crystal Palace..." Everyone else caught on to what she's thinking. "Oh my, you don't think," Opal feared. "That 11 is actually after..." Ruby shuddered. Everyone in the cafe then came to the same conclusion as they shouted in unison.
