An intense case had gone on all night, and while Granger was able to get a quick snooze in, Hetty had not, and she was exhasuted!

'Whoa whoa there! Careful there…'. He even had to keep Hetty from falling down the stairs.

'I wasn't going to fall down the stairs! Bluh bluh bluh.' Hetty sleepily muttered.

'Okay, I'm taking you home, right now before this gets out of hand!'

'But the case isn't complete yet…'

'It's practically almost over! Nell and Eric can take over for a little bit. I'm not about to have my wife injure herself just because she can't stay awake.'

Hetty wanted to argue, but she was too tired.

'Uuuuugggghhhhh, why are you so nice to me?' Hetty grumbled.

'Because I care about you, and because your team will lynch me if I let you injure yourself and I could've done something to prevent it.' Granger replied, leading her to the car.

'Nah, they'd only do that if I tell them you pushed me down the stairs.'

'You wouldn't.' Granger said.

'Mmm. Is that a bet you really wish to take?' Hetty asked while trying not to trip.

On the ride home.

'Hey, you want to know a secret?' Hetty asked.

'Sure. What is it?' Granger asked, curious.

'I once really hated tea. When I was young, I had some, and it tasted really awful! I didn't want to drink it ever again, but as it turns out, it is a great stress reliever, and that's something I needed in my early days at the Academy.'

Very stunned look.

'Oh quit with the popping eyeballs! It's not like I said I'm actually married to someone else.'
