That afternoon, Lysandre and Professor Sycamore went to the library and searched for books on weredragons. Half an hour later, Professor Sycamore struggled to carry a heavy book about as thick as a human leg. "Look what I found!" he said excitedly. "Apparently, this book's known as "The Compendium, History, and Biology of Weredragons", so we might find out HOW you became a weredragon. Hell, we could even find your ancestors!" "Interesting…" Lysandre said in wonder. He then opened the book and for the next hour, he and Professor Sycamore read studiously. Professor Sycamore then pointed to a picture of a black wyvern that looked similar to Lysandre's dragon form. "Woah," he started. "I think I found some history on your condition." He then cleared his throat and started reading.

"Weredragons in the Kalos region have existed for thousands of years. They are creatures known to transform into dragons. Although they are known for their jet-black scales, flaming orange hair, and overall terrifying appearance, they prefer to disguise themselves as humans when they're mingling with them. These wyvern-based dragons use fire and are quite heat-resistant. However, they are terribly weak to water, which reduces the power of their fire. They also possess a primal fear of Fairy type Pokémon. This may be due to their draconic heritage. In this region, weredragons are born as humans and don't gain their draconic powers until their 30th birthday. As they grow older, their transformations become more painful and horrific, so they choose to stay in their human forms. While they were somewhat common thousands of years ago, they are extremely rare in the modern day. If you manage to see one, count yourself lucky."

Professor Sycamore then closed the book and drew in a long breath. "So THAT'S the reason why I became a dragon around seven months ago! This makes so much sense now." Lysandre said, awestruck. "I guess so, Lysandre." Professor Sycamore replied. The two friends fell silent for a moment before both of them started to laugh joyfully. "I can't believe I'm friends with a weredragon!" Professor Sycamore said, putting a hand on Lysandre's shoulder. After fifteen minutes, Lysandre and Professor Sycamore left the library and went home, talking about weredragons all the way back.

Once they came back, Professor Sycamore decided to do more research on the Internet while Lysandre went back to his room and his Pyroar. "Rowr?" his Pyroar meowed curiously. "Today, I learned about the history of weredragons in the Kalos region. Did you know that I actually WAS just a dragon masquerading as a human?" Lysandre replied, deep in thought. In response, his Pyroar butted its head on its Trainer's leg, purring. "Merci, Pyroar. You understand me." Lysandre said, putting a hand on his Pokémon's chin. He then went to bed and stayed awake, his head filled with the history and biology of weredragons. At least he finally knew what he actually was. Despite everything, he was still himself. Not quite human, not quite dragon.
