Sorry for the long update. I have been busy playing Fate CCC English patch that's just released nonstop. I'm currently at Melt's Dungeon where she's trying to steal my man. I'm using Hakunon (Female Protagonist) and Archer (Nameless) Master-Servant combination. The game is trying to make me enter every female character's pants, but the only pants that I'm interested is Big Daddy Archer.
I have also start watching Den-O, really liking it so far, hopefully this show from start to finish will be a climax

"So that's her story, huh." Erhard said in a somber tone, gazing at Raphtalia. Takumi nodded as he finished explaining to the blacksmith his story when he steps out of this place, from failing to obtain any party members to freeing and feeding Raphtalia.
Raphtalia hides behind Takumi, not trusting anyone but him, as she holds his hand like a lifeline. He patted her back, trying to comfort and reassure her of the blacksmith. It seems to have worked, as she seems to be relaxing a little.
"So do you need anything?" The old man asked. "There must be a reason you're telling me this."
Takumi nod "Yeah, there is," he says, looking down at Raphtalia before returning his sight to Erhard. "I was wondering if you could take her to a nearby orpha-
"NOOO"
Takumi and Erhard turn their heads to Raphtalia, who is trembling and holding his hand harder than before, not wanting to let go.
"P-p-please don't send me away, Lord Shield Hero." Her voice shaking. "I... please take me with you, Lord Shield Hero; I will do anything." She said with a pleading voice.
"I'm sorry, Raphtalia," Takumi said with a comforting voice, trying to calm her. "I'm the shield hero, which means I will be fighting to defend the world from the Wave of Calamity-" Her eyes widen at him, mentioning the wave, "-and it will be dangerous for you to be around." Takumi finishes holding her shoulder.
His word dosent' seems to calm her down, as mentioning the Wave seems to make her scared even more. "Then I will fight with you, Lord Shield Hero." But whatever her fear towards the Wave, it doesn't compare to the fear of being left behind by Takumi. 'As long as I'm with Takumi, it will be alright,' she thought with high praise toward the Shield Hero her people idolized.
"You're just a kid, Raphtalia," he said logically.
"I'm a Demi-Human; I grow fast."
"You should take her kid." The old man said, cutting Takumi before he responded to Raphtalia.
"Huh, why?" Takumi said, looking at the old man.
"Because, as much as I hate to say it," Erhard took a deep sign. "The slave trader is right; Demi-Humans are treated like second-class citizens here."
"But she's just a kid."
"I'm sorry, kid, but that's just how it is." Erhard said, disappointed in his own country's situation. "And even if you find some orphanage to take her, do you think she won't just run off and go after you? Won't that be more dangerous than her sticking with you?
Takumi thought over his words for a few seconds before releasing a sigh, opening his status menu, and giving Raphtalia a party invite. "I guess you can stay for now," Takumi said softly, patting her head.
She accepted it immediately. "Thank you, Lord Shield Hero," she said, starting to calm down.
[Raphtalia join your party]
Takumi scratched his head. "You know, you can just call me Takumi; you don't need to be so formal," he said, feeling weird being called by using a title.
Raphtalia hesitated. "Umm, okay, Lord Takumi," she compromises, saying his name instead.
"Takumi"
"Lord Takumi"
Takumi rolled his eyes. "Fine," he said, giving up and accepting the lord part for now. He smiled, and his response seemed to have cheered her up. 'If nobody is willing to take her in, I guess I can take care of her for now.' Takumi thought, her eyes were much more alive than when he first saw her, eyes that had no dream for the future, and he would make sure she wouldn't experience that again.
'Like making all the world's laundry pure white. To make everyone happy' Takumi reminicent reminiscent about his dream; he wants to make everyone around him happy but feels like he has failed when his lifespan becomes a problem, worrying everyone and himself, making his friends sad, and they probably assume he is dead as Takumi is in a new world, which they will grieve. His stomach dropped at the thought. but he steels himself for Raphtalia sake. 'She deserved to be happy.'
Takumi stands behind Raphtalia as she is sitting on a wodden chair in front of a mirror wearing new armor that he recantly bought. He is currently brushing her hair using a comb. After Takumi agreed to take Raphtalia, he thought he might as well buy her some armor for protection. He also asks Erhard's permission for Raphtalia to use his bath before she uses her armor. Takumi promises to pay him; he agrees, but he doesn't accept the payment. 'The old man is nice. I hope I can repay him someday'.
It was awkward giving Raphtalia a bath, as he had never done it before, but he still did it, and now she is all clean. Takumi doesn't want to say it out loud, but she was really smelly and grimey from probably not taking a proper bath in a long time when she was a slave.
"Man, Mari, makes this looks so much easier." Takumi remarked, combing her hair and trying to make it look nice. He has only ever done this once or twice, and it was only on the mannequin that Mari used to practice on, as she insisted on him giving it a try.
"Mari?" She asks, looking at him in the mirror. She tries to tilt her head to the side, but stops remembering that Takumi is still combing her hair.
"She is one of my friends." He started doing the right side of her hair. "Her dream is to become a beautician, so she is really good at this stuff. If she were here, you would look very pretty." Takumi spoke confidently of his friend's skill.
"Dream"
'Yeah." He stops looking at her, as she seems to be lost in thought. "Do you have a dream, Raphtalia?"
She seems to be staring off into space before she replies. "I...I don't know." She said it quietly.
Takumi looks at the face she is making; it reminds him of the time before he met Mair and Keitaro, a life with no dreams where he was just going through the motions. "Hey Raphtalia, do you know?" She perks up while Takumi continues to comb her hair. "When you have a dream, sometimes it gets your heart really fired up, as you want to pursue it, and sometimes it's really painful if you can't." He used to not know what it felt like to have one, but after obtaining one, he understood the feeling.
"I used to not have a dream, but you know I can always protect the dreams of others."
'Protect the dreams of others' Raphtalia repeated his words in her thoughts. "Do you have a dream now, Takumi?"
Takumi nodded. "Like making all the world's laundry pure white. I like to make everyone happy."
Raphtalia remains silent, trying to gather her thoughts. 'What is my dream?'
"You don't need to make one right away." She startles, as he seems to have read her thought. "You're still a kid, and you still have a long life ahead; there's no need to rush it." Takumi said, finishing combing Raphtalia's hair.
"Do you like it?"
She smiles cherfully as she inspects herself in the mirror. It might not seem like much, but it's been a long time since she felt so clean and fresh. "Mm-hmm." Raphtalia nodded happily.
"I am glad," he said, wiping sweat off his head. He looks at the comb that he just used; some of Raphtalia's hair seems to be stuck in it.
'I wonder' he tries to absorb her hair from the comb, wondering what will happen. Everything that he has absorbed so far has unlocked a new shield form, so he wonders what this will make.

'Looks like that's it for now'. Takumi observes the third one's unlock requirement wondering what it means. 'It looks like this new shield will be very useful for leveling up, bigger numbers are always better, right?' he thought about his new shield.
A creaking sound is heard, drawing both of their attention towards an opening door as Erhard enters the room.
"So are you two done?" The old man said casually, stretching his arm as he started to relax.
"Yeah, we're done. Thanks for letting us use your stuff." Takumi nodded, appreciated the old man's hospitality. "Are you closing shops?"
He shakes his head. "I'm just taking a break; there is still some time left before closing." He walks, he seems to be heading towards his kitchen. He stops as he turns his head toward us. "Do you guys want something to eat?" he offered.
Takumi shakes his head. "No thanks. We already ate before we came here." They already ate those pretty big meat skewers; he got two while Raphtalia got three helpings of it. She was very hungry from not getting proper food from her former time as a slave.
"Suit yourse-"
*COUGH* *COUGH* *COUGH*
Takumi shifts his attention to Raphtalia as he gets down and touches her forehead. 'Damn, she has a pretty high fever. I almost forgot about it.' He winced in thought. "Old man, do you know any doctors or places where they sell medication?" he said with a little hint of anxiety.
Takumi navigates through the streets of Castle Town using Auto Vajin, heading to the destination that the old man marked on his map. The location is about an hour by foot, but he should be there in a few minutes using his vehicle even when it's not at full speed, for Raphtalia sake.
"Are you okay there, Raphtalia?" He looked at her, holding him from behind, before focusing on the road again.
"Hmm, I'm okay, Takumi," Raphtalia said with a hint of excitement. Feeling the wind blow against her body and hair is really nice and refreshing. Even though her body feels sick, it doesn't stop her from enjoying this moment.
"That's good. We're almost there, so just hang on tight."
Moments later, Takumi slowed down his motorcycle. He looked at his map, confirming that this was the right place. Both of them hop off Auto Vajin and go to the shop.
The owner notices us approaching; he widens his eyes, noticing Takumi's shield.
"What do you want?." The owner said with a dismissive tone, trying to get this over with.
'Rude'
Takumi ignores it for now. "I'm Inui Takumi; Erhard, send me here so I can get some medicine for her." He patted Raphtalia's back.
The owner was surprised. "You guys know Erhard!" He smiled and said, "Well, let's get to it. Let me check her symptoms first; a friend of Erhard is a friend of mine." It looks like the old man is well liked in this community. It's not that surprising for Takumi. The old man is super nice, helping a stranger that he just met.
Raphtalia was reluctant to be checked on, but with Takumi's presence and reasurance, she braves on. When her checkup was done, the owner went to his storage to grab the right potion for her. He came back later with the potion.
"Here it is, Shield Hero. one of my most high-quality potions in my stock; it should be able to heal most common illnesses." the owner said, confident in his word.
"That's great," Takumi said, looking at his money in his item box. "How much?"
"About 370 silver, sir hero."
Takumi winch "That's expensive, doesn't she only have a fever? Do we really need that? Won't normal quality be enough?" That's almost half of the money that the king gave him.
"Sorry, sir, but you see," the owner scratches his head. "At the end of the first wave, a lot of people are injured from the attack, so all of my common and cheap medicines are quickly sold out, leaving me with just my high-quality ones," he laughed nervously.
Takumi guess that makes sense; the more he hears about the wave, the more it seems like a huge tragedy than he first let on. 'Money can always be earned back. It's a huge chunk of my budget, but it is what it is.'
But before Takumi paid for it, someone else beat him to it. "Let me pay for that, Sir Hero. We don't want to have you sleep on the streets early on, don't we?" A sassy male voice said from behind, 5 gold coins are thrown to the owner; the owner barely catches them.
They turn to the voice. He is an adult male with short brown hair wearing an open black coat with a pink (MAGENTA!) shirt and a small pink (MAGENTA!) twin-lens camera hagging off his neck. All in all, he looks like a person that won't be weird to see in modern times, but that's the thing, he looks like a modern person! and Takumi is sure he was not with him when being summoned.
"Keep the change, but if you can, you could bring your old potion-making equipment, so this big bad wolf here can absorb it." The mysterious stranger said, patting Takumi on the back like they were friends.
The owner thanked the stranger before going back to grab his old equipment.
"Who are you? Are you a summoned hero?" Takumi asked the question that's been on his mind.
The stranger chuckled. "I'm just a traveler, helping heroes on their journey," he said cryptically. He shifts his attention to Raphtalia. "Good luck to you, tanuki girl. Don't be afraid of this man, okay? He might look like a big bad wolf, but in reality, he is just soft on the inside."
Raphtalia nodded in agreement. "Takumi has a soft heart."
"What do you mean by that?" Takumi asked.
"It means you have a soft heart, Takumi," Raphtalia confirmed.
*CLICK*
He took a photo of the two of them. "This was a nice little talk, but I must be going; the bird queen is waiting for me," he said, walking away from them.
"Wait," Takumi calls out, the stranger stops, stopping in his tracks. "Who are you? Do you know that I'm the-" The word died in Takumi's tongue before he continued, "-Wolf Orphnoch."
The traveler smirked. "Like I said, I'm just a passing-through traveler, remember that!" the traveler said, pointing his finger at Takumi. "And yes, I know about you being an Orphnoch and a Kamen Rider. Good luck on your journey, Faiz." He finished before going to an alleyway.
"WAIT!" Takumi chases after him; this stranger knows way too much about him, and he has a lot of questions that need answers. But when he gets to the alleyway where the traveler went, he realizes it's just a dead end.
"Wha." He looks around, but all he finds is a thick brick wall with no windows that the traveler can use to escape. He looked back, seeing Raphtalia follow behind him.
"Are you okay, Takumi?" Raphtalia said, with a little huff.
"I'm fine, Raphtalia." He sighs, giving up on his search for now. That traveler knows so much about him; how does he know? What's the traveler's goal? Is he here to help? There are so many questions, but the only person who can answer them disappears.
Takumi looks at the sky, seeing that the sun is beginning to set. Going out at night is dangerous, so getting a place to stay is a priority. With both of them pretty tired, it will be a good idea to get some rest.
"Let's go back and grab your potion, Raphtalia, and then let's go someplace to stay for the night; you must be pretty tired, right?" Takumi asks, He just realized that ever since he freed her from the slave trader, she hasn't gotten any sleep.
Reminded of the concept of sleep, she yawned. "Yeah, I guess." She said unenthusiastically.
"Is something wrong?" Does she not want to sleep?
She shook her head. "No, no, it's nothing, Takumi. Don't worry about it." Takumi notes that she seems to be hiding something, but he mentally shrugs if she doesn't want to open up, that's okay, he let her open up naturally when she is more comfortable.
The next day, the Shield Hero party drove off into the grassy field outside of Castle Town, ready for their first battle. They stopped as they hopped off Auto Vajin, readying their equipment.
"Umm, Lord Takumi..." Raphtalia calls out. "I don't have any weapons, we never bought any." She expressed her concern.
"Don't worry, Raphtalia. I already prepared you one." Takumi reached out to Auto Vajin left handlebar, grabbing it before pulling it out, revealing Faiz Edge. It's hilt is a motorcycle handle with a blade made out of red energy and a gray color metal part acting as the blade guard. Takumi offer it to her.
"Here you go, Raphtalia." She took the weapon, feeling it didn't weigh that much. She eyed it curriously, never seeing a sword like it. "It's name is Faiz Edge, a weapon that has been with me for a long time and is always reliable. Don't touch the red part of it; it will hurt a lot," Takumi explained about the weapon.
'Faiz?' She remembers that's what the strange man said to Takumi yesterday. 'The man also said Takumi is an Orphnoch and a Kamen Rider. I wonder what those mean?.'
Takumi looks at his bike. "Auto Vajin, get ready for battle," he orders.
"Battle Mode"
Following Takumi's command, Auto Vajin's body begins to shift around, its backside splits open, forming the legs, while the front becomes its whole upper body and arms; the front wheel is attached to its left hand, acting like a shield that can shoot like a gatling gun, and the back wheel is attached to its back, acting like a jetpack, giving it the capability of flight. Auto Vajin has entered battle mode.
Raphtalia hangs open, speechlessly seeing Auto Vajin transformation. It's something she has never seen before, as it is a level of technology that is too advanced for her to understand.
Takumi smiles at her reaction, and he palms his hand at Auto Vajin's shoulder. "He is pretty cool, right?"
She quickly nodded. It is incredible and super cool for a kid like her to see. "Yeah. He's so cool." She said in amazement.
"BEEP BEEP". Auto Vajin's horn sounded in appreciation for her compliment.
"Well then, before we start..." Takumi brings up his shield, getting it close to Auto Vajin's wheel shield. "Let's see if this works."

Interested in his new unlock skill, Takumi activates [Spinning Shield]. Its effect is astounding; as the shield spins so fast, he can feel the wind agaist his body. From the fast spin of the shield, he can use it to grind stuff to dust, and depending on the type of shield, it can also turn into a buzzsaw. It took 8 Sp to activate the skill, with no extra maintenance cost.
He stops the skill, satisfied with its effect, he looks to his two other party members. Auto Vajin seems to be playing with Raphtalia, as she seems to be cheeking the robot's body around. A mischievous thought appears in the wolf's head. He aims his shield towards Auto Vajin while the rider machine is distracted by Raphtalia. He is tempted to shoot at it a few times, just like it has hit him accidentally in the past, but he relents, worried that he will scare off the tanuki girl.
"Hey you two..." He called them both, getting their attention. "Your ready?"
"BEEEEEB" Auto Vajin raises its front wheel, battle-ready.
Raphtalia holds her sword tightly. This will be her very first battle in all her life. She is nervous, but with both of them around her, everything should be fine. She took a deep breath, washing away her nervousness and strengthening her resolve.
"I'm ready, Lord Takumi."
"Let's do this." Takumi unconsciously flick his wrist, getting ready to fight.
Her sword cleaved through a group of three orange balloon monsters, cutting them easily with no resistance. The balloon monster body consists of a round body like a ball with two eyes and sharp teeth that can sting when hit. Another two balloons appeared, hidden from the tall grass charging at her. It's fast, but she intercepted the first one in time, slicing it apart. She grunted when the second one headbutted her chest. It feels like being struck by a small plastic ball. It hurt because of the speed at which it was going, but her armor softened most of the damage. She pierced the creature before it had a chance to bite.
She smiled at her victory, cleaning the sweat from her head. She has gotten better at attacking them with little hesitation on her part. Hopefully, she can keep this up and impress Takumi so that he can keep her in his party.
She looks at the two otherworlders. both of them with Buster Wheel up using the gatling gun function, firing endless volleys of bullets at a horde of balloons, some of them different colors than the orange one she just fought. The bullet popped all of them, leaving nothing but a massacre of their remains.

Her smile dropped after seeing them easily take down a bunch of balloons. She compares them with how much she killed, she only killed about 16 or more, and a bunch of those kills were done with help from Takumi and Auto before she was confident enough to take them down herself. her mood gloom, feeling useless compared to them.
"Raphtalia, Auto, help me gather their skins." Takumi ordered, checking his status menu, before the wolf started helping the two.
"Okay, Takumi."
"BEEEEP"
A few minutes later, the Shield Hero Party was done gathering every balloon skin that they could find. Takumi sat on the grass, absorbing the defeated monster material and the material that they foraged from the forest nearby to unlock a bunch of forms for his shield, while the rest was stored in his item box to sell later.
'Will I be needed here? Compared to Takumi and Auto, my contribution is almost nothing... Will he leave me?'
"Are you okay, Raphtalia?" Takumi stopped what he was currently doing, looking at her in concern because of the sad mood she is giving off.
Raphtalia jolts in surprise at Takumi's observation. "Umm..." Takumi waited patiently for her to gather her word. "Lord Takumi I... Will you leave me? Takumi, back at the blacksmith, you said that you let me stay for now, does that mean I must leave in the future?" Raphtalia finishes her rambling, her head facing down, as she doesn't want to look at him directly.
Takumi is silent, her anxiety increasing with each second. Takumi doesn't reply.
"Raphtalia." Her head snaps toward Takumi as he calls her name. "When I said that, I will keep you for now. I don't mean that I will kick you out. I mean that, as in, you can leave whenever you want if you so desire." Takumi explains himself.
Raphtalia eleted, her worries washing off her. "I want to stay, Takumi."
Takumi smiled and nodded. "That's good to hear, but Raphtalia, why do you want to stay with me?"
"It's because you're the Shield Hero, Takumi. Papa and Mama always tell me stories of the Shield Hero's heroic acts. I always love hearing them before sleep. Do you want to hear them, Takumi!?" Raphtalia said, in excitement, that her face shows her eagerness to tell him the story she always hears before bed.
Takumi chuckles, her enthusiasm is infectious. "Maybe next time, but what I mean is, what's your reason to fight?" Takumi explains his earlier question.
Her excitement dissipated, replace with confusion at Takumi's question. She tilted her head to the side. "My reason to fight..." She mumbled to herself.
Her reason to fight isn't to stay in the Shield Hero's party because he said she can leave whenever she wants, and it's not like she enjoys fighting with her reluctance for the first few balloons that she fought. Her brain worked in overdrive, trying to find a reason, but all she got was nothing. It was like last time when Takumi asked about her dream.
"How do you get one Takumi, a reason to fight, and a dream?" She ask
Takumi shakes his head. "You must find them yourself. Raphtalia, obtaining them is different for everyone."
She nodded, but her mind was still trying to find something to cling to.
"BEEEEEEEEEP"
Auto's horn alerts both of them as the robot points his shield towards the forest, trees falling as the monster's strength and size topple over them. The three of them watch as the monster finally reveals itself.
It's a four-legged canidae-like beast with pitch-black fur all over its body; the beast's height is about the size of a small house, making it tower over them, but the most frightening part is that it has three heads, each with sharp fangs that can easily tear through flesh. Each of its heads roars when it spots them.
[Cerberus: Lv 33]
Takumi, stand up. He narrows his eyes. "Get ready! If we can't handle it, reatreat!"
He froze when he check on Raphtalia. Her body trembling, her eyes wide open, her mind in fear as her heart beat rappidly, she want to scream, but all that came out is her heavy breathing. Her fear is warranted, as it is the same monster that attacked her village. 'Its here, its here, itshereitshereitshereitshereitshe-'
Takumi grabbed her, moving away from their spot and avoiding the monster's charge completely as the monster zoomed past them.
"You okay!" Takumi looks at Raphtalia while still paying attention to Cerberus.
She nodded slowly, snapping out of her panic attack, feeling protective being with the Shield Hero.
He put her down. "Run away, Raphtalia, me and Auto will handle it!"
Her eyes are frantic. "But Takumi, even if you are the Shield Hero, the level difference is too high." Even in the stories, the Shield Hero always has friends to help him out, but here it's only Takumi and Auto. 'It will be like last time; it will kill everyone, like papa and mama-'
"I'm not just a Shield Hero, you know..." His calm voice snapped her out of her thoughts, from his [Item Box, he took out the Faiz Driver. "I'm a Kamen Rider!" He said, bravely, facing Cerberus.

He put it on, wearing it around his waist. He took out the Faiz Phone, entering the correct sequence.

Raphtalia watches as he lifts his hand up. The pose feels heroic to her; his hand is up in the sky, and he shouts the word.
"Henshin"
For Raphtalia, the next sequence of events will forever be engraved in her memory.
He brings his hand down, slotting the phone into the driver.
CLICK "COMPLETE!"
Red glowing lines flow out of Faiz Driver, running across his whole body. Notably, something strange happens as the red lines get close to the Legendary Shield making it absorb the strange energy. Takumi is enveloped by a bright red light. Raphtalia widens her eyes at the figure where Takumi was.
His armor mostly consists of a black body suit with red lines across the suit. Silver-like plating is attached to his arms, legs, and chest, with it being the largest of them all as it covers his whole chest, separated in the middle by a red line. Finally, on the helmet, two big yellow visors on his face, split in the middle by two red lines that reach upward, forming an antena-like shape, making the visor look like the phi symbol.
"Kamen Rider Faiz" Takumi announces himself.
A bunch of notifications are popping out in Takumi's view, but he ignores them for now, focusing on Cerberus.
Faiz charges at the beast, and as Auto Vajin follows behind him, Cerberus obliges, charging head-on.
Cerberus swings his front paw, and Auto Vajin intercepts it with his wheel, stopping completely as the shield starts to fire bullets on the beast's giant paw. The beast retracted in pain, not giving it time to recover. Faiz delivered a powerful haymaker punch at the cerberus's middle head, staggering it before following it up with a bunch of flurry of kicks before ending it with a strong spinning kick, putting his whole body to the kick.
Raphtalia watching in amazement as both of them fought off the beast. Every attack is felt by Cerberus. When Cerberus attacks, sparks fly out of Faiz's armor. Faiz grunts, but it doesn't stop him as he continues fighting.
She can't help but imagine what it would have been like if Takumi was there when the village was attacked. Protecting everyone from the wave, if only he had been there—she shook her head at the pointless thought. Continue watching Faiz fight off the monster that orphaned her.
Both Faiz and Auto point their shields towards the cerberus, unleashing a hell of bullets at the monster. Cerberus growls, but it powers through it. Cerberus side heads open their mouths, ready to bite Faiz and Auto, but they manage to grab the Cerberus mouths, forcing them down and closing them. The middle head tries to bite them, but they are too far away. It uses its next best option to smack them with its snout as Cerberus shakes its body, trying to get them off it. Faiz grunted with each receiving hit.
"Raphtalia! ugh..." He tank another blow from Cerberus. "Get away from here!" Faiz scream.
"But..." She said, shaking her hand holding Faiz Edge, her mind is conflicted on what to do.
"Don't worry, Raphtalia; I will protect you and defeat this thing, so don't worry."
She can't help but admire his word, his bravery, and his conviction to protect her. wishing that he could have been here from the start so he could have prevented the tragedy that befell her village.
'Prevented the tragedy' Those words repeat in her mind. Her grip on her weapon becomes firm before she starts running.
Takumi's eyes widen under the mask instead of running away. She charges towards it. Cerberus to occupied with Faiz, and Auto doesn't notice her move. She holds Faiz Edge with both hands as she raises it up high before swiftly bringing it down towards the middle head's neck.
"HYAAAA!" She screams.
Blood spurts out as a clean cut across its neck is made from the energy blade. The middle head gurgles while the rest roars in pain, seeing and opening Faiz and Auto deliver a powerful front kick, giving it their all. Cerberus is sent flying forward, skidding across the dirt.
"Takumi!" Faiz looks over to Raphtalia; even though her body is shaking, her resolution is showing. "I... I want to fight. I still don't have a dream to strive towards, but I want to fight to prevent the same tragedy that happened to me; it is what I desire." She declare
Takumi was speechless at Raphtalia's words and actions. He doesn't know what exactly happened to her, but he can guess. Takumi nodded. Even though she is just a kid, he won't stomp on her resolve and determination. "That's good to hear, Raphtalia."
A new notification appears in Takumi's view, but he ignores those again, seeing as Cerberus is still getting up. Its middle head slumps over lifelessly while the other heads growl and roar angrly, looking like it's ready to fight again.
He flicked his wrist. "It's time for the finisher." Faiz motions for Raphtalia to move out of the way. He grabs the Faiz Pointer from the side of his driver before inserting the Faiz mission memory into it.
"READY!"
He crouchs down as he attaches Faiz Pointer to his power anklet that is on his right leg, slotting it in. He opened his flipphone, pressing enter, before closing it again.
"EXCEED CHARGE!"
Photon energy travels from the Faiz Driver to the Faiz Pointer, charging it ready to use his finisher. Takumi, still in a crouching position, rests his hand on top of his right leg, waiting for the monster.
Cerberus charged at him faster than before, fueled by its rage. Takumi held his position, waiting for the beast to come closer. Less than a meter separated them. Faiz's right leg shot forward, and the kick connected as Faiz's Pointer shot out a red beam of photon energy, pushing the beast back and staggering it. The red beam expanded, forming a red energy drill. Cerberus was stunned in place, feeling the energy drilling into its body.
Not wasting any time, Faiz jumps into the air as he extends his right leg forward and performs the famous Rider Kick. He slams into the energy drill. Faiz went inside the beast, destroying it from the inside and ignoring its defense, before Faiz appeared from behind the beast. It almost looked like he phase through Cerberus.
Cerberus was engulfed in a small explosion before it slumped over and lay dead from the attack.
'Wow.' Raphtalia thought seeing the rider kick, it was also the thought of the people hiding in the shadow, unseen by them.
"Report." Mirellia Q. Melromarc, Queen of Melromarc and the true ruler of the country, said to her personal shadow.
The shadow bowed her head. "With the princess failing to attempt to falsely accuse the Shield Hero, the church tries to kill him, using the first wave boss, making it look like an accident rather than by their own hand. Using their own shadow, they lure Cerberus closer to the Shield Hero."
"How is the Shield Hero and his companion's condition?"
"They are fine, my queen. The Shield Hero manages to defeat Cerberus with little effort on their part."
The queen was relieved at hearing their condition and bewildered at hearing the Shield Hero manage to take down the first wave boss. 'This is bad if the Shield Hero is this strong from the start; the church will personally kill him. Damn the consequences'
"Order the available shadows to protect the Shield Hero at all costs. I'm giving them permission to cooperate with the Shield Hero if it's too much to handle. Dismiss"
