21. Chapter 20 Extra AN

Okay, here's the longer author's note.

To start off, it's not gonna be a long message about hat problems I'm having writing this or anything like that, because unlike my JJBA x MHA fic, I'm actually pretty satisfied with what I've done with the previous chapters so far.

The only real issue lies in my characterization of Subaru. At the beginning, his personality was pretty in line with how he is in Re:Zero, but as I got further and further into writing this, I realized that having Subaru be jaded and cynical 24/7 wouldn't really maintain reader interest in the long run, so I shifted my goal towards something like a combination between Subaru and Izuku's personalities.

The reason why I'm writing this can be summed up into one question: Do you guys think I'm doing a good job at it? It's obvious that there are extenuating circumstances to result in an edgier version of Subaru, but do you think it's too much? Too little? Personally, I'm leaning more towards the former, because one of my intentions was for him to serve as some kind of social commentary for how the world in MHA works from the viewpoint of someone who's aware of 21st century values.

I'm just curious to see your thoughts on whether or not Subaru is acting too OOC even with the fic's premise.
