My name is Celeste prior . My parent are both the leaders of abnegation; Andrew and Natalia prior . I have two sisters and one brother whose name are beatrice ， Maria and Caleb prior
Caleb and beatrice are 6 years younger than me but Maria is 8 years younger than me . I am 16 this year which means that I have to decide to either stay in abnegation or leave abnegation.
I don't know but I somehow don't have a choice because I think that I am not selfless enough to go through the initiation process . However leaving abnegation means that I forsake my family forever.
"Celeste comes down and your mom is ready to cut your hair ."
Someone is calling me and I know that is ted . Ted was appointed by max to come protect me while my mom was having babies . Max had crushed on my mom as I heard from someone next to our house but I know that isn't true
Max is the mafia boss of dauntless and my mom couldn't be born from other faction so unless that they knew each other in school， that can't be possible .
Max is much older than my mom so that is even more impossible . I clap my hand and breath heavily.
"I am coming." I open the door to my room and start to go downstair
Today is the second days of every third month that my mom can cut my hair and I am able to look myself in the mirror . Today is also my birthday but in abnegation， we aren't allowed to celebrate it because that will be selfish.
I get downstair and sit in front of the mirror . My mom is so pretty that she even looks much younger than she supposed to be . She has long curly hair and she has pinky cheek . She has slim body shape but she has to hide that beauty in abnegation because that was what we required to.
I look myself in the mirror and I look so much different . I look slimmer and I have rosy cheek and hooked nose just like my father . I don't look much like my mom but my brother Caleb does .
"Are you ready for tomorrow ?" Mom starts to brush my hair
"The test doesn't have to change our choice ." I shake my head ."So no."
"That's good ." Mom smiles at me
She is so calm . She brushes my hair and starts to cut it. My hair falls on the floor in black dull long ring. My father has black hair so I have black hair too.
Only Maria and beatrice are having dark hairs like mom . Even Caleb has brown and blackish color on his hairs .
After she cuts my hair , I stand up .
"Thank you for cutting my hair ." I start to walk downstair
Mom follows me . Maria and beatrice sit together while Caleb is cooking.
"Morning sister." I kiss their forehead
"Good morning ." Beatrice hugs me . "I wish you luck."
"I am off today. I will go see my friend Jason coulter . He just becomes the leader of erudite ." I smile at them
Caleb turns around . He is very sensitive with erudite because he knows that our father hates them
"You are going to erudite? Do you know that our father hates them?" Caleb is angry.
"Jason coulter is fine ." Dad looks up from newspaper . "I just hate Jeanine Matthew ."
"The ambassador of erudite?" Beatrice raises her eyebrows
Father nods at her . I don't know why he hates that woman
"Jeanine is good . She is nice to me ." I shrug.
"You don't know her . She is horrible ." Father sighs . "Let's eat."
Caleb serves everyone foods . We start eating together . I keep myself quiet and ted is sitting beside me
"I can go with you." Ted says
"You have to go back to dauntless. Max wants to see you." Dad says coldly. "I ask him to give you a better job."
"I can stay with Celeste wherever she goes ." Ted puts a hand on my shoulder
I know that he likes me so he wants to stay with me but I don't want that
"You can have a better job Ted . You deserve it. You treat our family so well " I smile
"I just want to be with you." He holds my hand
After breakfast, I leave the home alone . I walk alongside the street . Flowers are blossoming and I am happy with it. It is spring . Everything coming to be green and vivid . I get to bus stop just when bus arrived
I hop on the bus and stand beside an erudite man.
"You are Celeste prior . Jason coulter told us about you." He smiles . "He likes you."
"We are best friends ." I shrug. "He is a nice friend."
"No romantic relationship?" Man is surprised
I shake my head . I don't even know what kind of man that I will fall into but clearly no Jason coulter .
"Yeah no romantic relationship." I yawn. "So tired ."
When the bus comes to the stop, I get off with the erudite man.
"I am Jack ." Jack holds out a hand
"Nice to meet you."
