After the aptitude test, I get more nervous . My test administrator told me that I am divergent that I belonged to more than one faction and that result can get me killed. She told me to stay in abnegation but she doesn't know that in order to protect my family, I have to go to dauntless

She is a nice lady . Maybe dauntless is full of nice people too. Ted once told me that sometime bravery and selflessness are not that different so I can learn something from dauntless as well. I can be more selfless there

I leave school with Maria and beatrice . They are all wandering why we are leaving earlier

"Why are we leaving earlier than other people?" Maria narrows her eyes

"The liquid that they gave me makes me want to throw up so teacher asks me to go home and rest." I sigh.

"Okay, yeah our sister has sensitive stomach." Beatrice chuckles . "Where is ted . He was always that over protective of you."

I shrug. I don't want Ted to be around for a reason. I don't trust him for my weak spot. I want to cry. When we reach the Factionless sector , I get more scared .

"Ms can I have something that I can eat?" A factionless man grabs my arm. "I am so hungry."

"Sister you should help him." Maria drags my arm

I reach into my bag for the dry apple slices . This is the reason why dad told us to keep the food in our bag at all time for this reason .

"You have pretty eyes but it is so shame that rest of you is so plain." He smirks at me

"Don't talk to our sister like this ." Maria is trying to safe me

"It is so dangerous for you to walk alone with these two kids ." The man ignores Maria .

I know that people call us stiffs . I don't know where he could be coming from.

"I know that I look young but I am 16 years old this year ." I stand straighter. "I don't need to be reminded ."

"Oh then is that tomorrow a important day for you . The day that you choose?"'he let go of me . "Choose wisely little girl."

I start to run with Maria and beatrice . When we get home , dad and mom are home already

"Why are you guys sweating?" Dad frowns

"It is hot on the bus." I shrug.

"Oh okay." Dad says

Clearly even I get the result of Candor , I can't be Candor because I lie too easily.

Then choosing day comes so quickly. I and my family go to the ceremony together with ted . I know that ted already knows that I will choose dauntless so he is more relaxed .

When we get to the ceremony, people are everywhere . I exhale and inhale deeper .

"You will be fine ." Ted says smoothly. "It will go fast."

"Thanks ted ." I nod at him

I walk to the last row where all the kids are standing at . Mom and dad hug me and beatrice and Maria kiss my cheek.

"We will miss you sister ." Beatrice wraps her arms around me

Beatrice knows what I have to do ? She must know otherwise that she will not say this . I hug her tight

"I love you guys forever ." I am about to cry.

The ceremony begins and now Jason coulter is on the stage . This year the ceremony is running by erudite so he is the leader of it.

"So welcome , welcome to the day that we honour our history . I believe the faction system is a living being and you guys are the cell which built it. I believe the brighter future belongs to those of you guys who knows where you belong." Jason coulter picks out a name . "Celeste prior ."

I know that this is my turn. This year the name is drawed randomly.

I walk on the stage and he gives me a knife . I cut my palm opens and my blood is dripping. I look at the dauntless bowl which is my only possible choice .

I put my hand above the bowl, my blood drops

"Dauntless."

I close my eyes . I know that my father will hate me . All abnegation will hate me for betraying them.

"Welcome to dauntless."

I walk toward dauntless sector . They stand up to welcome me .

"Welcome ." A boy stands up and gives his seat to me and walk to the back

I sit down and everyone pat me on my back . I smile at them. I don't feel weird but I feel like that I am with my family .

"Thank you."

Then Jason draws another name . He opens it.

"James tucker."

He is angry because that means he loses me forever . He likes me but I don't care . Maybe I am selfish but one day that he will understand . James tucker , the dauntless walks toward the stage

He falls in the middle of his way and everyone start to laugh. I stand up and walk toward him

"Add you okay ?" I smile at him

"I am fine . I don't need a stiff's help." He pushes me away
