To my readers-This is a major editing overhaul for my Pokemon fanfiction. During this editing overhaul, I am renaming my OC. I will not change her Pokemon Partner, and I will not change her regional Pokemon Teams. I have decided as a writing goal to combine all of the regions together rather than writing them as individual regions. I'm still going to write Sinnoh and Unova, but at this moment, I need to finish writing certain regions like Kanto, Alola and Galar. For those of you who are going to ask me if I'm doing the Pokemon movies (you know who you are), I'm nipping that question in the bud right now. I will not be writing the movies. Why? Because it will be too much for me to do as I already have a lot on my plate as it is so stop asking me that question.
If you dont like the way I'm writing my version of Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos, Alola, and Galar then you dont have to read my fanfiction. You can move onto reading something else in the Pokemon universe, I'm not going to force you as readers to read my fanfiction. I'm not going to reach through my computer screen to force you to read any of my fanfiction. You as individuals chose to read my fanfiction. Happy Reading!
I DONT OWN POKEMON. I ONLY OWN MY OC AND THE CREATION OF HER REGIONAL POKEMON TEAMS. ALL REGIONAL POKEMON TEAMS WILL BE POSTED AT THE BOTTOM OF THE CHAPTERS FOR MY OC.
Shoutouts:
"Scissor Street? Why'd we come here?" asked Ash.
"You'll see." said Brock.
"Sure are a lot of Pokémon beauty parlors." said Misty.
"Look, there's one with an Eevee on the sign." said Trixie.
"Riolu." said Meeko, looking up at the sign.
Narrator: Ash, Trixie and their friends take a walk along Scissor street. Why have they come here? Only Brock has the answer to that.
Trixie: My guess is probably to look at another pretty girl.
Meeko: Riolu.
"Hm." said Brock, trying to find the place he was looking for.
"Is there any place special you want to visit, Brock?" asked Ash.
"Hm." said Brock, ignoring Ash.
"Wait a minute. I just remembered that Scissor Street is also called Breeder's Lane." said Misty.
"I didn't know that." said Trixie.
"Where is it?" Brock asked himself.
"So that's why we're here." said Ash. "Brock's always got to see the latest breeder's gear."
Narrator: Brock dreams of becoming a Pokémon Breeder, a person who devotes his time and energy, learning how to raise the best Pokémon.
Trixie: I know that it's a possibility that I can be one, but I don't think I can go through with it.
Meeko: Ri?
Trixie, looking at Meeko: I don't think it's something I would pursue. But I like to keep my options open.
"Some of the breeders have shops here." said Brock. "There are lots of terrific makeup places and fashion shops, too, just for Pokémon."
"Hey!" said Misty, running ahead and stopping at a poster. "Oh, look. This must be the newest fashion. How cute!"
"Ri?" asked Meeko.
"If it is, then I don't like it." said Trixie.
"You think that's cute, huh?" asked Ash, taking a closer look at the poster.
"Come on. We've got to go in." said Misty, wrapping her arm around Ash.
"Whoa! I don't want to go in there." said Ash, leaving Brock and Jordan behind.
"Hm." said Brock.
"Don't you think that the Pokémon in the poster looks a little familiar to you?" Trixie asked.
"Riolu." said Meeko, taking a closer look at the poster on the wall.
"You won't believe how beautiful a Pokémon can be." said James. "Step inside and see for yourself. Let us dazzle you with the latest fashions by the expert artists of Salon Rocket."
"Did he just say Salon Rocket?" asked Ash.
"Yeah….he did." said Trixie.
"Why does that name sound so familiar?" Misty asked as Brock looks up at the poster.
"Whoa, is that supposed to be a Pokémon or a Christmas tree?" asked Brock.
"A Christmas tree with a bow is more like it." said Trixie. Inside, Jessie and James were scatting as they did dressing up the Pokémon in front of them. "Bring your drab old Pokémon to Salon Rocket for our complete Pokémon makeover, including jewelry." said Jessie as she gives a Raichu the craziest makeover she could think of.
"And hairstyling." said James as he gives Dodrio three different hairstyles.
"We'll make your Pokémon a pretty-mon. Ta-da!" they both said when they were finished, revealing Raichu and Dodrio.
"We've done it again, another Pokémon fashion masterpiece." said Jessie.
"I can't believe how talented we are." said James, smiling at their finished work.
"Your Pokémon have gone from frumpy to flashy, thanks to Salon Rocket." said Jessie as she and James brought over the woman's Pokémon.
"Oh, how precious." said the woman, taking a look at her Pokémon.
"What?" asked Raichu and Dodrio, taking a look in the mirror to see what Team Rocket did to them. Gasping, both Pokémon didn't like what they did to them.
"120, 130, 140, 150, 160, 170…" said Meowth as he was counting money.
"Please come back again soon." said Jessie and James as the woman leaves with her Pokémon.
"200." said Meowth, before looking up. "You two are spending way too much on advertising. TV Commercials are a big waste of money. Remember, we're in this to make a profit."
"We know what we're doing." Jessie tells Meowth. "The more we spend to hype this place, the more customers we'll get. Customers who will spend thousands for a fashionable Pokémon."
Outside of the salon, Brock continued to search while Misty, Ash and Trixie watched the woman leave Salon Rocket. "I think I'm going to get in line." said Misty.
"Huh?" said Ash and Trixie.
"It's there!" shouted Brock.
"Huh?" said the three.
"I found it." said Brock, running over to a different salon. "I've been looking all over for this place."
"This is the store you've been looking for?" asked Misty as Brock trembles to open the door.
"What are you so nervous about?" Ash asked as he opens the door.
"Unless you're nervous about the person who owns the store." said Trixie as they went inside, causing Brock to scream and run in after them.
"Hi. Can I help you?" asked a woman of the store. The woman was standing at a table, massaging a Chansey. "Just relax." she said to Chansey. "Release all your tensions. Now you'll have more energy."
"Chansey. Chansey. Chansey!" said Chansey, happily posing in front of a mirror.
"That Chansey looks so shiny." said Trixie, blinking her eyes a bit. "Kinda hurting my eyes a bit.
"Olu." said Meeko, squinting her eyes as she blocks the light, bouncing off of Chansey.
"Chansey! I've come for you darling." said Chansey's trainer, walking into the store and finally sees the result. "Ah! Don't you look precious."
"Thank you for bringing Chansey to my salon." said the owner.
"See you soon, Suzie." said the trainer as she and Chansey turn to leave.
"Chansey."
"May I help the next customer?" Suzie asked Ash and the others.
"Pika. Riol." said Pikachu and Meeko.
"We're just kind of sort of browsing around." said Ash.
"Uh, no, uh." said Brock.
"Look! Isn't that Vulpix the cutest thing?" Misty asked over Brock's head, seeing a Vulpix sitting on a chair, asleep.
"Ri, Riolu." said Meeko.
"It is cute." said Trixie.
"Oh, don't you want to hug it, Trixie?" Misty asked the youngest Ketchum.
"Ah!" said Ash.
"Pikachu." said Pikachu.
"I do, but then I wouldn't be getting the best hugs from Pikachu and Meeko." said Trixie.
"Riolu!" beamed Meeko.
"What is it?" asked Ash, pulling out Dexter.
"Vulpix, a fox Pokémon. Its six tails are extremely beautiful. As it evolves, it grows even more tails." said Dexter.
"I love its hair." said Misty, fawning over Vulpix. "I wish I had hair like Vulpix that looked so shiny and soft."
"Don't touch it!" Suzie called out to Misty, but her warning came too late.
"You're just about the cutest little Pokémon I've ever seen…." said Misty when suddenly Vulpix opens its mouth.
"Vul!" shouted Vulpix, releasing some fire on Misty's face before jumping out of her arms and back into the chair, yawning.
"Okay….now I'm scared of that Vulpix." said Trixie as Meeko jumped onto her back.
"Olu." said a fearful Meeko, nodding.
"Very cute." said Misty, groaning as she feel to the floor with her face ashen.
"Hm." said Ash as he and Trixie looked back at Dexter.
"Vulpix uses powerful flame attacks." said Dexter.
"Duh." said Ash.
"We know that." said Trixie.
"Please pardon Vulpix." said Suzie, walking up to Misty, who was still on the floor. "It doesn't like to be picked up or hugged by strangers."
"Wish I'd known that sooner." said Misty.
"She tried to warn you, but….." said Trixie as a blushing Brock slid in behind Suzie.
"Uh, Suzie?" asked Brock, gaining her attention.
"Yes." she answered.
"Uh, my name's Brock. Nice to meet you, Suzie." Brock said, straightening up. "Uh, I want to breed like you. I mean, I want to be a breeder like you."
"It's very nice to meet you, Brock." said Suzie. "I'm flattered you want to make me your model."
"Yes, I want to model you. I mean, I'm flattered that your flattered." said Brock, blushing even further. "I mean, your Vulpix is nice."
"Uh. Huh?" said the others.
"This is awkward. Even for Brock." said Trixie.
"Very awkward." said Misty.
"What I'm really trying to say is, Suzie, I'm begging you to accept me as your pupil." said Brock.
"What?! You're kidding, right?" asked Trixie as Misty and Ash gasped.
"Pika. Rio." said Pikachu and Meeko, shocked as well.
"You got to be kidding, Brock." said Ash, rushing to his side.
"You can't leave us like this." said Trixie.
"Mind your own business, you two." Brock tells them. "I know what I'm doing. Please say yes, Suzie."
"I don't have pupils, Brock." Suzie explained. "Breeding takes up all of my time."
"What makes her such a great breeder anyway?" asked Ash.
"How dare you!" shouted Brock.
"Aah! Scary Brock!" said Trixie, leaning back.
"The sensational Suzie of Scissor Street has been awarded the trophy of excellence at the World's Pokémon Breeder's contest for three consecutive years." said Brock with a microphone in his hand. "Wait, there's more."
"I don't even want to know where he got that microphone." said Trixie.
"Lights." said Brock as lights appeared around Suzie. "In addition to that, the readers of Pokémon Friends magazine named her the most popular breeder four years running. And her hugely popular website records over 10,000 hits per day."
"Now that's what I call a great breeder." said Misty.
"Mm-hm." said Trixie, nodding in agreement.
"You better believe it." said Brock with his chest puffed out while frowning at Ash.
"Okay, Brock, we hear you clear and loud." said Ash.
"I wonder if this Vulpix has ever won any awards in competition?" Misty asked.
"If it hasn't, then it's definitely getting an award from me for being such a cute Pokémon." said Trixie.
"That's a fabulous question, Misty and great statement, Trixie." said Brock, microphone in hand with Misty and Trixie looking at his back. "Vulpix is the hottest supermodel of the Pokémon world. Notice the gorgeous, flowing tails that have made Vulpix a champ. Plus there's…"
"We get the idea, Brock!" said Ash, grabbing him from behind. "Vulpix is terrific too!"
"So, all four of you are travelling on a Pokémon journey together." said Suzie as she pours tea for them.
"Pikachu! Pi!" said Pikachu, eating some of Brock's Pokémon food.
"Olu! Riolu!" added Meeko.
"Your Pikachu and Riolu have beautiful shiny coats, even though I've never seen a Riolu before." Suzie said about both Pokémon. "Are you the one who prepares all of Pikachu and Meeko's food, Brock?"
"Yes, I do!" said Brock, blushing as he stands up.
"And it's Brock's own recipe too." said Misty.
"My career as a breeder also began when I first became interested in Pokémon nutrition." Suzie said to the quartet.
"Vul?" muttered Vulpix, jumping up to the bowl of food that was in front of Pikachu, causing the others to gasp.
"Pi!" said Pikachu, offering a piece of Brock's Pokémon food to it.
"Mm. Mm." said Vulpix, taking the piece and eats it, wondering if Brock's food was any good.
"Whoa." said Brock, shocked that Vulpix was eating his food.
"Riol?" Meeko asked.
"Vulpix!" beamed Vulpix, praising Brock's Pokémon food.
"Ah!" said a smiling Brock.
"I can't believe Vulpix is eating the food I made." said Brock.
"Brock, this is really impressive." said Suzie, amazed as Vulpix kept eating. "Vulpix never eats food that I haven't made myself."
"Looks like Vulpix is a fan of Brock's cooking." said Ash.
"That's because its Vulpix tested and Vulpix approved, Ash." said Trixie as Ash nodded in agreement.
"Uh, thank you, Vulpix." said a trembling Brock before hitting his head on the table. "I'm not worthy."
"You are worthy, Brock." said Trixie. "If I have to tell you that every single day, than I will."
"Riolu." said Meeko, placing her arms around Brock's shoulders.
"Yeah. Tell him, Trixie." said Ash.
"Suzie. We saw some super-fancy-looking Pokémon when we were walking down the street." said Misty. "Is that really the latest trend?"
"By any chance, did you pass a very large salon on the way?" Suzie asked.
"Mm-hm, you mean that really tacky-looking place." said Ash.
"With the weird looking poster on the outside." said Trixie.
"Ever since it opened, some trainers are trying to make their Pokémon as flashy as possible." explained Suzie.
"So that salon started the trend." said Brock.
"A good breeder is always trying to bring out a Pokémon's inner strength and personality." Suzie said to them. "But this new fad is about standing out, not what's inside."
"I don't like it either." said Ash. "It's pretty stupid to waste your time showing off."
"But sometimes even Pokémon like to get dressed up and show off a little just like the rest of us." said Misty, then faces Pikachu and Meeko. "Right, Pikachu and Meeko? I see it now."
Misty starts to picture Pikachu and Meeko in pink dresses with a bow in Meeko's fur and a flower behind Pikachu's ear. "Pika, Pika?" Pikachu asked Misty, before turning to Meeko. "Pikachu?"
"Riolu, Ri." answered Meeko. "Riol."
"I think Pikachu and Meeko are perfect the way they are." said Ash. "I can't speak for Trixie, but we don't need any goofy fashions. It's what's going on inside that really counts."
"Here we go again." said Trixie as Misty stands up.
"I never said the inside wasn't important, but the outside counts too." argued Misty.
"The inside is what matters." said Ash.
"Outside too." Misty shouted.
"Inside!" Ash shot back.
"Outside too."
"Inside matters the most."
"The outside matters too."
"Inside."
"Outside too."
"Shouldn't you stop them?" Suzie asked Brock.
"That's like trying to stop the tide." answered Brock.
"I couldn't stop them even if I tried." said Trixie.
"What do you think, Trixie?" Suzie asked.
"I can picture Meeko dressing up occasionally but not on a daily basis." she tells her.
"Good answer." said Brock, causing Trixie to smile.
"If you think fashion's so great, how about taking your Psyduck to that salon?" Ash asked Misty.
"Hey, what a great idea." said Misty, clapping her hands together and brings out Psyduck. "Let's go, Psyduck!"
"Psy-ay-ay." said Psyduck, holding its head.
"(Laughs) Now we'll see who gets the last quack." said Ash.
"Which I'm hoping it would be my brother." Trixie whispered to Brock and Suzie.
"Ha! Anyway Psyduck and I are so cute, we'll look good whatever fashion we wear." said Misty.
"I'm sure Psyduck will." said Ash.
"What do you know about fashion?" Misty shrieked at Ash. "Right, Psyduck?"
"Psy-ay-ay. Duck?" asked Psyduck.
"This maybe more of a challenge than I thought it would be." said Misty.
"Better get going." said Ash, grinning ear to ear.
"Ha! You'll be so jealous when we get back from the salon and Psyduck turns out to be even cuter than Pikachu."
"What about Meeko?" Ash asked, looking at his sister's Pokémon.
"Meeko is in a cute class of her own for our region." said Misty, walking away. "Come on, Psyduck."
"Psy." said Psyduck, running after her. "Psyduck. Psyduck. Psyduck."
"Should I thank Misty for that compliment or be concerned?" asked Trixie.
"Olu?" Meeko asked.
"I'd say take it as a compliment, you two." said Brock.
"I wonder if it's what's on the outside or what's on the inside that really counts in the end." said Suzie, then sighs. "Ever since that new salon opened, I've been wondering about my methods."
"Don't say things like that." said Brock causing Suzie to gasp.
"Suzie. You've got to keep following the path you believe in." he tells her.
"We have to stick up for what's inside together." said Ash. "Right, Pikachu, Trixie, Meeko?"
"Pikachu."
"Riolu."
"Sure." said Trixie.
"That's very kind. But how can we?" Suzie asked.
"If they want to put style over substance, we'll give customers substance over style." replied Brock.
"And the plan is what exactly, lover boy?" asked Trixie and five minutes later, people were entering Suzie's salon.
"Uh, there are still a few seats left in the back of the room for our lecture on Pokémon care." Brock said into his microphone as everyone gathered around.
"Each Pokémon needs your special care and attention." said Susie, massaging Pikachu's cheeks. "Whenever a Pokémon's been injured in a battle, it should be given a therapeutic massage."
"Pika." said Pikachu, relaxing into the massage. Outside of Salon Rocket, people were disappearing around Misty and Psyduck. "Hey! Wait!" said Misty as she noticed her surroundings. "Where did everybody go?"
"Say, weren't you at Suzie's?" the trainer with the Chansey asked.
"Yeah, I saw you there." Misty replied.
"Suzie's lecture just started." said the trainer. "It's a series about Pokémon care. Today she's talking about massage."
"A lecture on Pokémon massage?" questioned Misty.
"This volunteer and his Pikachu will now demonstrate the techniques we learned in today's lecture." said Suzie.
"Mm-hm." said Ash.
"As you already know, a Pikachu's electric sacks are located in its cheeks and they become very tense after a difficult battle." Suzie explained.
"Pika, Pikachu." said Pikachu, agreeing with Suzie.
"Ash, would you please massage Pikachu's cheeks just like I showed you earlier?" asked Suzie.
"Uh, sure." said Ash, walking over to the table.
"Pikachu." said Pikachu, falling back.
"Ah, let's see." said Ash as he starts to massage Pikachu's cheeks.
"Cha!" said Pikachu, giggling a bit.
"Maybe…"
Pikachu starts to giggle a little bit more. "How's that feel, Pikachu?" Ash asks.
"Pika." he replied.
"That's amazing." said a woman from the crowd.
"Wow." said Brock.
"Good communication between Pokémon and their trainers is essential." said Suzie. "These techniques build trust and bring out a Pokémon's personality."
"I think Suzie will agree with me that any technique is as good as the trainer or breeder who uses it." stated Brock.
"I never thought of that." said another woman in the crowd.
"Otherwise, you could end up like this volunteer's sister." said Suzie, showing Trixie with a bruised body, brush in hand and Meeko snickering at her side.
"The brushing technique went wrong. For those of you who have a fighting type Pokémon, be careful." Trixie said weakly as she starts to twitch her head a bit, then turns to Meeko. "You didn't have to hit me that hard."
"The perfect touch." said James, placing a bow on a Squirtle's tail.
"One last rose." said Jessie, painting a rose on its shell. "Voila. This Squirtle shell has become the perfect advertisement for our latest line of Pokémon fashions."
"Oh, yet another masterpiece from Salon Rocket." said James. "Roses are the flowers of love and romance. (Sighs) We also paint daffodils."
"Squirtle." sighed Squirtle.
"Meowth, send in the next customer, tout de suite." said Jessie.
"Can't you see I'm counting money here?" asked Meowth as he goes back to counting until he hears a chime. "Hmm? Only one customer?"
"One or a million, it doesn't matter as long as we have customers who appreciate true beauty." said Jessie.
"We only want to offer our services to the most refined customers." added James.
"We're not going to make any money that way." Meowth said blatantly.
"Hello there, everyone." Misty said, walking in, causing Team Rocket to gasp and turn away. "Huh?"
"Welcome, young lady." Jessie said timidly.
"Hmm." said James.
"Oh."
"Hey, what are you doing?" Misty questioned as Jessie and James dragged her further into the salon.
"Step in. Don't be shy." said James.
"No, not me. Psyduck." Misty said.
"Don't be so hard on yourself." said Jessie, ignoring Misty. "You're just as lovely as any Psyduck."
"Hey, hold on a second." said Misty as Psyduck waddles up.
"Psy." said Psyduck.
"It's another masterpiece." said James once they were done with Misty, who now was sporting a crazy outfit.
"You like it?" Jessie asked as she and James held a mirror in front of her.
"Oh, I love it." said Misty, gushing over her looks. "You've really captured the real me. You're totally amazing artists. I look so cute."
"I'm thrilled." said Jessie.
"There's nothing that pleases us more than a satisfied customer." added James.
"Oh, why don't we try out even more new styles?" Misty asked them.
"Time for a makeover!" declared Jessie and James, getting right to work on the Misty makeovers.
"A dab of rouge." said Jessie.
"A bit of blush." added James.
"A smidgen of lipstick."
"A modicum of mascara."
"A pinch of powder."
Behind them, Meowth became irate with the two. "Forget about that makeover." growled Meowth. "She hangs out with that Pikachu and that Riolu. We gotta grill the kid to figure out how to steal them."
"Hey, wait. You're Meowth." said Misty, as Jessie and James glowered at Meowth. She then realized that she was standing in front of Team Rocket. "We were trying to find out until you blew our cover!" screeched Jessie, stamping on Meowth as James hits him.
"First you get the opponent to relax, then you pump them for info." snarled James.
"So stop pumping me and get those Pokémon." hissed Meowth, scratching Jessie and James' disguises.
"I'll never tell you phonies anything!" screamed Misty. "Ah!"
"So, you figured out the truth." said James, grabbing her before she could make a run for it. "Well, you'd better tell us where Pikachu and Meeko are if you don't want your face painted just like Frankenstein."
"Heh. Do I want my face painted like Frankenstein's?" She chuckled nervously, then shakes her head. "No, I don't. Hey, Psyduck!"
"Psyduck?" James asked. Then Jessie and Meowth started looking around their salon for the duck Pokémon. "Where'd Psyduck go?" asked Meowth.
"I don't see it." said Jessie.
"It's gone."
"Psyduck." muttered Misty.
"Psy, Psy, Psy." panted Psyduck as it heads back to Suzie's salon to get the others. "Psy, Psy. Psyduck. Psy, Psy, Psy." Psyduck goes through the crowd to get to Ash and Pikachu.
"Psy, Psy, Psy. Psyduck!" shouted Psyduck, stopping the demonstration.
"Huh?"
"Pika? Rio?" asked Pikachu and Meeko.
"Psyduck! Psyduck!" Psyduck shrieked. "Psy, Psy, Psy. Psy-ay-ay-ay!"
"Pika! Pika! Pika!" Pikachu said to Ash, Trixie, Brock and Suzie.
"What's the matter? Has something bad happened to Misty?" asked Ash.
"Is she in trouble?" asked Trixie.
"Riolu!" yelled Meeko, sensing Misty's distress.
"Pika! Pika!" replied Pikachu, then takes off.
"Pikachu!" said Ash as he hops over the table and goes after him. Stopping in front of Salon Rocket, the doors opened and they walked in. "Misty!" Ash and Trixie called out.
"Pika! Olu!" said Pikachu and Meeko.
"Huh?" said Team Rocket.
"It's Team Rocket again!" said Ash and Brock.
"What are you guys up to now?" asked Trixie, making her twenty fifth mark in her notebook.
"What took you guys so long?" asked Misty.
"What happened to her face?" grimaced Ash and Brock, placing their hands over their mouths to keep them from laughing.
"Dumb boys." Misty muttered to herself as Trixie hits the boys with her mallet.
"You two are idiots." said Trixie, as both boys had bumps on their heads. "Don't laugh at her for something like this."
"Okay, okay." said Brock.
"Forgive us." begged Ash.
"Hmph!" said Trixie as they both shake their head to rid the pain.
"Let Misty go right now!" demanded Ash.
"Sorry, you'll have to wat your turn." said Jessie. "We won't be finished with her makeover until she looks like this."
"We're conducting some important beauty research." said James.
"Beauty research?" asked Suzie. "Can't you understand it's the beauty inside that counts? Every Pokémon is beautiful. We just have to help the Pokémon discover it."
"What's she talking about?" asked Jessie.
"What does she know about breeding Pokémon?" sneered James. "Who cares about the inside? Outside counts."
"What do you two numbskulls know about Pokémon breeding?" asked Meowth, scratching James and Jessie's faces. "This whole Salon Rocket idea's supposed to be a scam remember?"
"I knew the two Pokémon on the poster outside looked familiar." said Trixie as Suzie gasps. "It was Ekans and Koffing all dressed up in ugly outfits."
"It was a brilliant plan." said Meowth. "Part one, think up some stupid Pokémon fashions and take piles of money from the trainers."
"Money? What?" asked several people in the crowd.
"And part two, whenever a trainer brings in a rare Pokémon, first get the trainer distracted, then steal the Pokémon on the spot." said Meowth.
"What?" asked Ash in disbelief.
"Very thought out." said Trixie.
"And our greatest masterpiece of all will be that Pikachu of yours and your sister's Riolu." said Jessie. "How about a trade? This Twerpy girl for your Pokémon?"
"You'll never get Meeko!" shouted Trixie as Misty gasped.
"If you're trying to steal Pikachu and Meeko, we're going to battle." said Ash, going into protective mode.
"Count me in too. Tag team." said Brock.
"Pika! Riol!" shouted Pikachu and Meeko.
"Ha-ha-ha! Salon Rocket is ready with our own fashion battle platform!" said James, taking out a microphone. "Here goes."
"And now Salon Rocket presents a fashion extravaganza and Pokémon battlethon!" said Jessie as the smoke clears.
"To protect the world from boring fashion…"
"To dress all peoples with flash and passion…."
"To give all Pokémon pretty faces."
"To extend our art to outer spaces."
"Jessie."
"James."
"Salon Rocket. When it comes to chic, we know what's right." said Jessie.
"Surrender your taste or prepare to fight." said James.
"Oh, we're supposed to battle on that?" asked Ash.
"I may not know much about fashion, but that wig looks creepy on him." said Jordan.
"Dazzle them, Ekans." said Jessie.
"Knock them dead, Koffing." said James.
"Ekans."
"Koffing."
"We don't need costumes." said Ash. "Pikachu's super-energized from that massage. Go!"
"Pika!" shouted Pikachu.
"Go, Meeko!" shouted Trixie.
"Riolu!" said Meeko.
"Geodude, go!" shouted Brock, sending out Geodude.
"Geodude." said Geodude.
"Geodude, give them the Seismic Toss!" said Brock.
"Geo!" said Geodude, grabbing Ekans and taking it up into the air.
"Ekans." hissed Ekans, being forced into the air before spinning towards the ground and heading towards Pikachu. "Ekans!"
"Thundershock, now!" shouted Ash as Pikachu lands on his feet.
"Pikachu!" shouted Pikachu, releasing Thundershock on Koffing and Ekans.
"Koffing!" bellowed Koffing.
"Pika!" squeaked Pikachu.
"Koffing, cutie. Sludge makeover!" said James.
"Koffing!" said Koffing, spinning around, before releasing its Sludge. "Koff!"
"Pi!" squealed Pikachu.
"Ah, Pikachu!" said Ash.
"Pikachu, no!" said Trixie.
"Geodude!" said Brock.
"Now the finale. Go!" said Jessie, raising her sword.
"Koffing!" said Koffing, but soon enough, Ekans trips on its outfit.
"Oh, no! It's a fashion disaster." said James.
"Get up, you guys!" Meowth shouted at Ekans and Koffing. "We still got a battle to finish. Let's go!"
"Koffing!" shouted Koffing as it and Ekans went straight for Pikachu and Geodude when Vulpix rapidly appeared.
Behind it, Pikachu and Geodude were rubbing the Sludge off their faces. "Now what?" asked Brock.
"Vulpix and I will take it from here." said Suzie.
"We'll give your Vulpix a makeover when we get rid of its tails." Jessie sneered.
"Time to give you a lesson in breeding." said Suzie. "If all you worry about is your Pokémon's outer beauty, its inner strength will be lost."
"Vul." said Vulpix.
"A Pokémon is like a fashion model. All that counts is a pretty face." said Jessie.
"Like mine!" said Meowth.
"Ekans!" hissed Ekans.
"Is that all she cares about?" Trixie asked Ash and Brock. "Having a pretty face?"
"Rio, Rio, Riolu." said Meeko.
"What did that Riolu say?" Jessie asked Meowth.
"Somethin' that isn't worth repeating." said Meowth.
"Riolu." said Meeko.
"Vulpix! Wrap them up with Fire Spin!" shouted Suzie as Vulpix's eyes started to glow blue before turning red. Vulpix then released its Fire Spin, resulting in a huge fire tornado. "Save the gowns!" screamed Jessie and James.
"More like burn the gowns." muttered Trixie.
"Hey! Don't fire spin me!" Misty yelled from the stop of the stairs. "Help, help, help!"
"We're blasting off again!" shouted Team Rocket as Fire Spin stops before reaching Misty.
"Now that's an attack." said Ash.
"And a powerful one at that." added Trixie.
"Riol." said Meeko in awe.
"Vulpix's greatest attack, fire spin." said Dexter. "Using powerful flames to block its opponent from moving, it then inflicts great damage."
"Rio, Riolu?" Meeko asked Trixie.
"Yeah….let's wait until we capture an Eevee so that we can evolve it into a Flareon." said Trixie walking over to Meeko. "That way, Team Rocket won't know what hit them."
"Riol, Riolu." said Meeko, dreaming of Team Rocket getting hit with Fire Spin in the future.
"Did you see that?" Brock asked the crowd behind them. "A cute exterior hides inner strength, that's the Pokémon's true personality." The crowd murmured as they take off things that Team Rocket had put on their Pokémon.
"Psyduck!" Misty called out.
"Psy?" it asked.
"Just when I really needed you, you ducked out on me." An ashen Misty raged at her Pokémon. "Get up here and untie me! Untie me now! (coughs up smoke)"
"Psy-ay-ay!" said Psyduck.
"Nice work, Vulpix." said Suzie, petting Vulpix's fur.
"Vul!"
"Thanks to all of you, I believe in what I'm doing again." Suzie said to the quartet. "You helped me regain confidence in my beliefs."
"Heh. It's not hard when the person you're helping's as great as you are." said Ash.
"And Brock?"
"Uh, yes?"
"I was very impressed by the way you handled your Pokémon in a crisis like that." said Suzie, praising him.
"Suzie." said Brock.
"I have a lot more to learn about breeding Pokémon." Suzie tells him. "Even if I do have a championship, I'm still a student, not a teacher. Looks like you and I both have journeys ahead of us."
"You leaving, Suzie? What about your Pokémon salon?" asked Ash.
"There are things I can only learn if I leave here." Suzie explained.
"Where will you go?" asked Trixie.
"Who knows." she tells her, before turning back to Brock. "I want you to continue your journey too, Brock. From now on, we're rivals."
"Uh, sure." said Brock, shaking Suzie's hand.
"Vulpix." said Vulpix, rubbing its head against Brock.
"Ah!" said Brock.
"Looks like Vulpix is going to miss you, Brock." said Trixie, smiling.
"I'd be grateful if you took care of Vulpix for me." said Suzie.
"Huh?" said Brock.
"You're the first person other than me that Vulpix has been friendly with." Suzie tells him. "Right now, I do believe you could do a better job of raising Vulpix than I could."
"Vulpix." Vulpix said in agreement.
"Mm, thanks. I don't know what to say." said Brock.
"Pika." said Pikachu.
"Riolu." said Meeko.
"You don't have to worry, Vulpix." said Brock, taking one of his Pokéballs out of his pocket. "I promise I'll take good care of you." He then captures Vulpix. "All right! I got Vulpix!"
"Hm." said Ash, as he faces Misty and starts laughing at Team Rocket's handy work.
"Hey, what are you laughing for?" Misty asked Ash. "This makeup is very fashionable."
"Want me to hit him again?" asked Trixie.
Narrator: And so, Brock must continue down his own path to becoming a Pokémon breeder. With Vulpix, he has a new friend on his journey and he has a new determination to be the greatest Pokémon breeder of all time.
Trixie: He better be the greatest Pokémon breeder. We're counting on that.
Meeko, smiling: Rio!
Not far from Brock, Team Rocket screamed as they ran down the street from a crowd of Pokémon trainers, causing only Jordan and Meeko to look. "Now we need a total makeover so nobody we ripped off can recognize us." said James.
"They're all just jealous because they're not attractive enough to wear our designs." said Jessie.
"Back to the drawing board!" shouted Team Rocket.
Trixie: They'll never learn even if we want them to.
Meeko, sighing: Ri…Olu.
Trixie: I wonder if they gave the trainers back their money.
Narrator: So long, Salon Rocket!
