Happy New Year! Sorry for not updating in over a week, but I got really inspired for another story I am writing at the moment. But I am back and I hope you guys love these next two chapters!

The Orange Islands, with their pristine beaches and vibrant sunsets, felt like a dream. Everywhere I looked, there was a postcard-perfect view, each more breathtaking than the last. And the food! Oh, the culinary delights of the Orange Islands were a treat for the senses. Every meal seemed like a burst of tropical flavors, that delighted my taste buds and left me craving for more. But beyond the scenic beauty and mouthwatering dishes, the Orange Islands held another charm for me – Drew. There was something about this paradise that made everything feel more romantic, more enchanting.

Currently, the ribbon count stands at two for me and one for Drew. It was a source of playful banter between us, a friendly rivalry that only fueled our determination. The upcoming contest in Moro Island had Drew practically radiating enthusiasm. His competitive spirit was like a contagious flame, and I couldn't help but get caught up in the excitement.

But despite our rivalry in contests, managed to find a delicate balance between fierce competition and heartfelt moments. It was a dance of roses and ribbons, and we were both eager participants. While contests kept us on our toes, it was the moments outside the arena that truly made our journey wonderful.

Our days were a whirlwind of training sessions, impromptu picnics on the beach, and exploring the vibrant markets of the Orange Islands. Drew had this uncanny ability to turn even the simplest moments into something magical. Every shared glance, every playful teasing – it all added a special touch to our time together.

Contest preparations were, of course, a significant part of our routine. We spent hours fine-tuning our performances, ensuring that every move was synchronized with our Pokémon. The feeling of anticipation, the rush of nerves before stepping onto the contest stage – it was all part of the thrill. But beyond the contests, there were stolen glances during sunset strolls, laughter echoing through the bustling markets, and the occasional friendly Pokémon battle on the beach. It was the balance between competition and romance that made our journey in the Orange Islands so enchanting.

As we geared up for the Moro Island contest, I couldn't help but feel a mix of excitement and nerves. Drew's determination was palpable, and I knew I had to bring my A-game. Taking a deep breath, I watched as Drew confidently took the stage, his every move radiating poise and determination. The spotlight illuminated him, casting a soft glow that accentuated the twinkle in his eyes and the smirk that played on his lips. I couldn't help but suppress a chuckle as Drew introduced his partner for the appeal round – Butterfree. The irony wasn't lost on me; Drew's Butterfree was none other than the son of Ash's Butterfree. It will be eternally amusing for me.

With a graceful wave of his hand, Drew signaled the start of their performance. Butterfree responded with a gentle ascent, his wings fluttering with grace and precision. The atmosphere grew palpable, the audience holding their breath in anticipation of what was to come.

As Butterfree soared higher, Drew's issued his first command. "Silver Wind!"

The shimmering gusts spiraled upwards, catching the light, and scattering it into a thousand glimmers. It was a sight to behold, the air alive with the radiant dance of silver sparkles. But Drew had more in store. With a swift motion, he directed Butterfree into a series of intricate loops, each one crafted from Slash and the swirling Silver Wind.

As Butterfree continued his aerial ballet, Drew decided to up the ante. "Another Silver Wind, but this time with Psybeam!"

They crafted a cascade of iridescent beams that crisscrossed the stage. The vibrant hues danced across the arena, painting a vivid tapestry of colors that held the audience captive. But the grand finale was yet to come. Drawing upon Butterfree's innate abilities, Drew unleashed a soothing Aromatherapy. But instead of a simple healing mist, Butterfree dispersed the fragrance in a whirlwind of scented petals and shimmering lights. The combination was ethereal, the stage awash with a kaleidoscope of colors and the gentle aroma of blooming flowers.

Such a Drew move to make, I thought shaking my head in fondness.

As Butterfree gracefully descended, Drew took a bow, the audience erupting into applause, their cheers echoing throughout the arena. I couldn't help but feel a swell of pride as I watched Drew and Butterfree exit the stage, their heads held high, the glow of their performance still evident in their eyes. The contest was far from over, but in that moment, they had captured the hearts of everyone present.

With a rush of adrenaline, I skipped towards Drew, my heart brimming with excitement and anticipation. His performance had been nothing short of spectacular. As I reached him, our eyes met, and I wrapped my arms around him, pulling him into a tight embrace, my heart fluttering with pride and affection. Pulling back slightly, I pressed a congratulatory kiss on his cheek, my lips lingering for a moment longer than necessary.

"That was amazing," I whispered, my voice filled with genuine admiration. Drew's eyes twinkled with gratitude, and a proud smile tugged at his lips.

But there was little time to bask in the afterglow of his success; my own performance awaited. With a quick nod and a reassuring squeeze of my hand, Drew stepped back, making way for my grand entrance. Taking a deep breath, I stepped onto the stage, the spotlight finding me instantly. The warmth of the lights washed over me, and I felt a surge of energy course through my veins.

Without hesitation, I released my Alolan Raichu, her form shimmering with electric energy. The sight was breathtaking, the stage coming alive with a radiant glow. I could feel the audience's anticipation building, their eyes fixed on Raichu and me. With a graceful gesture, I signaled the start of our routine. Alolan Raichu responded with a burst of energy, conjuring a sparkling wave of electricity that swept across the stage. It was a sight to behold, a miniature surfing arena coming to life beneath Raichu's agile form.

"Now Psychic!" I commanded with a big smile on my face.

As Raichu rode the electric wave with grace and precision, thanks to the use of Psychic, I directed her movements with a series of dynamic gestures. With each twist and turn, the electricity responded, sparkling, and glowing with vibrant colors. The air was charged with excitement, the audience entranced by the dazzling display.

But I had one more trick up my sleeve. With a focused expression, I shouted my final command. "Discharge!"

Alolan Raichu gathered her energy, a low hum echoing through the arena. Then, with a deafening roar, Raichu released her burst of electrical energy. The result was nothing short of spectacular. The Discharge combined with the lingering electric wave, creating a symphony of synchronized lights and electricity. The stage was transformed into a canvas of color, fireworks erupting in a spectacular display of light and sound.

As the final fireworks faded, I took a bow, my chest heaving with exertion and excitement. The applause was thunderous, another success of our performance. As I glanced towards Drew, I could see the pride in his eyes, his smile as radiant as the lights that had filled the stage. Together, we had created magic. And as I stepped off the stage, my heart swelling with pride, I knew that this was only the beginning.

The backstage buzzed with excitement, and as I checked the scoreboard, a small pout tugged at my lips when I saw Drew's score surpassing mine. However, my disappointment was short-lived as Drew, ever the supportive boyfriend, leaned in for a comforting kiss. The gentle warmth of his lips against mine erased any lingering traces of frustration, and I couldn't help but smile. It amuses me how he used to tease me so much, but then turned into such a tender and romantic partner.

He did love pulling my pigtails too much for his own good, I thought in amusement.

With renewed energy, we transitioned from the appeal round to the battle round, facing opponents with a seamless ease. Victory after victory propelled us to the finals, where we went head-to-head for the coveted contest ribbon.

The spotlight once again found us, and as I released my Glaceon, Drew summoned his Absol. The atmosphere crackled with anticipation as the battle began, Drew taking the lead with Absol's Night Slash, a signature dark move that painted the air with ominous energy. The audience gasped in awe as the dark slashes cut through the stage, creating a dramatic spectacle. Drew then followed up with Razor Wind, that joined the Night Slash creating a swirling tempest of dark blades.

I winced as the scoreboard reflected a reduction in my points by one fourth. But I was determined to counteract Drew's impressive move. "Glaceon, Mirror Coat!" I commanded.

The transformation was mesmerizing – Glaceon's body enveloped in a radiant, reflective aura that shimmered with an ethereal glow. To my delight, the darkness from Absol's combination was beautifully reflected by Glaceon's Mirror Coat creating a dazzling and mesmerizing reflective light show, turning the tide in my favor. A triumphant smirk graced my lips as I watched Drew's points decrease by one fourth.

The battle continued, each move executed with precision and flair, the stage a canvas for our Pokémon's dazzling performances. The cheers of the audience and the beat of my heart were loud in my ear, but the adrenaline pumping in my veins made up for it.

"Ice Shard!" I shouted, taking advantage of the first opening I saw. Glaceon to launch an Ice Shard – a sharp, crystalline projectile that cut through the air with precision. The frozen missile hurtled toward Absol, and with a seamless transition. "Follow up with Icy Wind!"

The combination conjured a chilling vortex that cloaked the stage in a frosty haze. The audience marveled at the spectacle, and Drew's points were swiftly lowered by another one fourth. Yet, the victory was short-lived. Drew, showcasing Absol's keen awareness, countered with Detect, evading Glaceon's icy assault with calculated finesse. In a strategic move, Absol retaliated with an Iron Tail striking Glaceon in the gut. I winced, both at the impact on Glaceon and the reduction of her points by another one fourth.

With the battle hanging in the balance, Drew continued his onslaught. "Psycho Cut!"

Absol's psychic blades intertwined with the lingering dark energy from Night Slash, creating a mesmerizing display of dark and psychic power. I could sense the impending defeat as the combined forces of dark and psychic energy struck Glaceon. I had only one fourth of my points left, while Drew, with half his points remaining, maintained a commanding position.

The bell rang, signaling the end of the battle.

My heart sank a little when the final scores were announced, and I saw Drew's name above mine on the scoreboard, declaring Drew the victor of the contest, securing his second Orange Islands Ribbo. But, in that moment, as Drew stood on the stage, holding the ribbon high, a surge of pride and support overcame my initial letdown.

I might not have secured the ribbon, but Drew did, and I was determined to be the loudest voice in the Contest Hall to celebrate his victory. Drew's smile, radiant with victory, melted away my lingering disappointment. The ribbon glinted in the spotlight. I joined the applause, not just for the contest's winner but for my boyfriend, whose hard work had paid off. My cheers echoing through the hall as Butterfree gracefully fluttered around Drew and the elegant Absol stood proudly beside him.

As the applause subsided, I approached Drew, a genuine smile on my face. Our eyes met, and for a moment, it was just the two of us amidst the cheers of the crowd. Butterfree continued his graceful dance, and Absol, ever regal, stood by Drew's side.

In that moment, his victory had become our victory.
