In the accelerated time that Enrico Pucci had created using Made in Heaven, the Joestar Group consisting of Jotaro Kujo, Jolyne Cujoh, Narciso Anasui, Emporio Alnino and Ermes Costello, was in danger. Anasui had been gravely wounded by Pucci using the arm of Jolyne's Stand. To make matters worse, Jotaro's Star Platinum The World had to save Jolyne from falling knives that the priest had dropped while he was falling, causing Jotaro to be unable to finish off Pucci as he shoved the injured Jolyne out of the way of the knives.
Appearing behind Jotaro through the accelerated time, Father Pucci glanced down at his foe with a smug grin. "Oh my. It seems you were late by two steps." He taunted his foe.
As Jolyne lied in the water of the accelerated time and Emporio stared at the events unfolding in terror, Pucci stood seemingly victorious before his foes. "The Joestar bloodline, as to be expected, they drew strength from their pride and courage and came together to conquer their fate. However, that connection through blood is also their weakness. Jotaro Kujo, your greatest weakness is your daughter." Pucci added to add insult to injury.
As Ermes placed a hand on Emporio and went to attack Pucci, something strange began to occur. Time ceased to accelerate, remaining still before reverting backwards the effect that Made in Heaven tried to accelerate forward, nullifying the Stand's ability to end the universe. As Ermes and the Joestar Group stopped to look around them in shock, so too did Father Pucci, who a moment prior was getting ready to strike down Jotaro and Ermes.
"What… What is this?! How is time reverting back to normal?!" Pucci asked in a confused state of both panic and disbelief, looking around for the possible culprit.
"This… is Golden Experience Requiem." A voice called from behind Pucci. Everyone's gaze turned to the figure, who was a young man with blonde hair and green eyes wearing a fancy black and green outfit. Standing near him was his Stand, the aforementioned Golden Experience Requiem.
Jotaro's eyes widened as he saw the man he had sent Koichi Hirose to find in Italy 11 years prior. "Giorno Giovanna…" Jotaro uttered in disbelief.
Pucci recognized the name. Giorno Giovanna, the Boss of Passione and oldest son of DIO. The priest frowned and glanced at Giorno. "So as fate brought DIO's other sons to me, it finally brought forth his oldest child…" He said with a hint of concern in his voice.
Giorno's eyes widened upon hearing his father's name, as he never had the chance to meet DIO before. Looking straight at Father Pucci, Giorno then asked "You knew my father?"
Pucci smiled at Giorno with a sinister look, nodding at his inquiry. "I am Father Pucci. And yes, I did know him. DIO was my closest friend, and entrusted me to carry out his plans…" He said then pausing, looking towards Jotaro with a heinous glare. "... Before Jotaro Kujo murdered him."
Giorno looked at Jotaro with a frown, but did not lash out. He needed to confirm if what the priest said was true. "Is that true? Did you indeed kill my father?" Giorno asked Jotaro with a stern tone.
Jotaro clenched his fists. He knew lying to Giorno would only make matters worse, and that he and his group needed help to stop Pucci. "... Yes, I did. But you have to understand, your father was a Vampire who used his powers for his evil plans." Jotaro informed him.
Giorno frowned and closed his eyes. He had knowledge of Vampires since Fugo had prevented Massimo Volpe from acquiring a Stone Mask to become one. Opening his eyes, Giorno then turned to Pucci. "What exactly were my father's plans, then?"
Father Pucci gave Giorno a stern look, hoping that he would not interfere in DIO's plan. "Your father laid the groundwork to Attain Heaven! In his name, I will craft a new universe as he intended, one where men and women will know their Fate!" He exclaimed as he then pointed to Giorno. "Given you are DIO's son, I am giving you one chance to side with me and allow me to continue accelerating time…"
Ermes and Jotaro turned to Giorno, the latter frowning and shaking his head in defiance. "No, I will not help you." He stated, glaring at the priest before adding "If my father really planned such a vile scheme to bring existence to an end, then I will undo his plan."
Pucci, enraged at DIO's son turning against him, let out a vicious snarl as he shouted "Then you will die like the Joestar Family!" He then dashed forth at accelerated speed and swung towards Giorno, who remained motionless.
"Your attacks are useless. I have nullified your every move." Golden Experience Requiem told Pucci as he saw his attack had no effect on Giorno whatsoever.
Turning around, Father Pucci saw many other versions of himself likewise turning around all along the path to his original position, each of them with an expression of disbelief. "What… How is this possible?!" The priest demanded to know.
"Both my Stand and I despise having to repeat ourselves as it is utterly useless." Giorno spoke as he appeared in front of Pucci. "As useless as describing the abilities to you would be." He added.
As Father Pucci turned around, GER began to pummel him mercilessly. "MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA… MUDA!" The Stand cried out as it slammed its fists repeatedly into its enemy until life finally left the priest's body.
As Enrico Pucci's dead body flew down into the waters of the accelerated time, it sank into its abyss, never to be seen again as Pucci would experience an eternal death loop. A blinding flash of light then engulfed everyone as it did moments prior…
Jolyne opened her eyes. The group was back at Cape Canaveral. She looked up to see Giorno had healed her knife injury using Golden Experience's ability. "Easy there, it'll be alright." Giorno told her as he finished treating her.
Jotaro was seated next to her alongside Giorno. He sighed in relief to see his daughter was alright. Jolyne smiled at him warmly. "Old man…" She uttered.
Jotaro nodded and smiled warmly back at her. "Jolyne…" He said in response as he pulled her into a hug. The two embraced each other for a moment, Jolyne tearing up in joy that this was finally over and her father was safe.
Opening her eyes however, Jolyne's gaze locked on Anasui who was lying unconscious on the floor. Pulling away from her father's arms, Jolyne rushed to Anasui's side, leaning down to check on him. "Anasui! Wake up damn it! You can't die here!" She pleaded, screaming with tears in her eyes.
Giorno walked over to her and placed a hand on Jolyne's shoulder to reassure her. "Don't worry, I've healed his wounds using Golden Experience. He'll make it out of this alive." Giorno explained to her, pointing to Anasui's chest which once bore a large hole, now healed thanks to Golden Experience's Life Giver ability.
Jolyne placed a hand on Anasui's chest, feeling his pulse. He was alive and had a heartbeat. Anasui slowly stirred awake, his eyes opening to meet Jolyne's. Jolyne smiled warmly at him as she sighed in relief. "Good grief, you scared me there…" She told him.
Anasui chuckled, coughing from the laughter and the pain of Pucci's attack. "So… Jolyne, will you… marry me?" He proposed, wasting no time on the promise he had made prior to the fight.
Jolyne laughed, looking up to think about it before looking back down at Anasui. Taking his hand into her's, Jolyne nodded. "Yes, I will marry you,.." She said turning towards her father for approval.
Jotaro smirked and nodded. "After all we've been through, I think he deserves it." He told her, Jolyne then leaned down and kissed Anasui on the lips. Ermes and Emporio smiled at such a sight, happy that everything worked out in the end.
Giorno then walked to Jotaro and said "Doctor Kujo, I'd like a word with you in private." He asked of Jotaro, who nodded and walked with Giorno.
Jotaro, as he walked with Giorno, spoke first. "Thank you again for helping us back there. I doubt we'd have made it out without your assistance." He told Giorno with honesty.
Giorno nodded in response. "I'm glad I was approached by the Speedwagon Foundation to come here, otherwise Father Pucci might have succeeded to reset the universe." He told him then paused, then after a few moments of silence he added "If you don't mind, I'd like to know more about my father."
Jotaro stopped walking, closing his eyes as Giorno likewise stopped and turned around to look at him. Letting out a sigh, Jotaro explained to Giorno why he had killed DIO. "Dio Brando had been our family's arch nemesis since he was adopted into the Joestar Family. Upon becoming a Vampire via a Stone Mask, he tried to reign terror on England before Jonathan Joestar, my ancestor, stopped him at the cost of his own life on the Atlantic." Opening his eyes, Jotaro looked at Giorno and showed him his Joestar birthmark. "However, the decapitated DIO took over Jonathan's body for his own survival, so in a way, you're both DIO's son and Jonathan's at the same time."
Giorno pondered on this information. Looking at Jotaro's birthmark and looking at his own, he could tell that this was the truth. Turning back to Jotaro, he then asked "But how did you end up being the one to kill my father, Doctor Kujo?"
Jotaro reminisced about his adventures to Egypt, a mix of nostalgia and grief striking him as he covered his birthmark. "When I was 17, DIO's awakening of his Stand, The World, awoke Stands for all of the Joestar Family. However, my mother's Stand was threatening to kill her if we didn't stop DIO." He then looked back at his daughter, who was chatting with Anasui, Ermes and Emporio. "So me, my grandfather Joseph Joestar and a few others set out to Egypt, defeating many Agents of DIO on the way there. When we finally reached him, DIO had almost killed most of our group, and I was alone against DIO and his Stand capable of stopping time."
Giorno's eyes widened at hearing this, and said "But wait, your Star Platinum seems also capable of stopping time. Does that mean…?"
"Yes, my Stand was the same type as The World." Jotaro answered, then added "It was thanks to that fact I was able to defeat DIO and destroy him once and for all."
Giorno paused and looked down for a moment, processing the information that was thrown at him. It was a lot to take in, hearing that his father was such an evil man chilled him to the bone. Looking back up at Jotaro, he extended a hand for him to shake. "Thank you for telling me more. In all honesty, I wish we would have met sooner." He told him.
Jotaro smiled and took Giorno's hand, shaking it. "Perhaps, but 11 years ago I had sent someone to check up on whether or not you were anything like your father." He admitted.
Giorno's eyes widened as he knew exactly who Jotaro meant. "That Japanese student was your agent?" Giorno asked him.
Jotaro nodded, answering with honesty. "I wasn't sure back then if you would have hated me for killing your dad, even if you never met him. So I had to take precautions."
Giorno then let go of Jotaro's hand, then said "I should get back to Italy soon. But should you ever need anything, do come by. Your friend Polnareff told me great things about you."
Jotaro was taken aback by a moment, then smirked and chuckled. "Might have to take you up on that." He then turned to look at Jolyne. "But I have some catching up to do with my daughter first." He told Giorno.
Giorno nodded and said "Well then I won't keep you any longer. Take care, Doctor Kujo." He then departed the area, Jotaro walking back to the group.
Jolyne looked up to her father and noticed Giorno was leaving. "Hey old man, where is that Giorno guy going?" She asked Jotaro.
Jotaro turned to look at Giorno, who was walking away. "Don't know, but I'm sure we'll see him again soon." He told Jolyne, turning his gaze back to her. "Come on, we have a lot of catching up to do."
