Chapter 1
(AN: Earliest Author note ever. To inform you all of a couple things. I plan on somewhat expanding both verses past what was shown in the movies or show. So I wouldn't recommend using the movies to visualize some of the stuff. The Harry Potter movies couldn't show much of what was in the books like arithmancy, runes, etc. Here I will try to expand on this stuff somewhat by introducing new abilities and stuff. So please don't come into the reviews with "Oh they can't do that" yeah I know. As for Game of Thrones, I will mostly be using the happenings of the books rather than the altered storyline of the movies. I will use both here but the ASOIAF verse is just to good to be left untapped. Next chapter will be what most of you are looking for but I have to give some background info. Please enjoy and leave a review. I'd love to hear what you all think of this.)
Harry sighed as he thought of everything he had been through. He lived a long stressful life from the very start and the situation has not improved even now. He thought of his teen years when he had ventured through the world backed by the combined wealth of his ancestors which were now entirely his. Shortly after his birth, Voldemort had arrived to kill his parents and then finally him. Fortunately, Voldemort's spell backfired thanks to the work of his mother's protection which still lingered even now. Baby Harry wasn't happy with all the commotion and his developing magical senses were disturbed by the insane amounts of death magic which engulfed the room. In a fit of accidental magic, he apparated away from the place with a strong desire to reach somewhere peaceful.
He appeared in a French forest where he was found by an old paranoid reclusive wizard who raised him until his 12th birthday. Afterward, the old wizard encouraged Harry to go find his way instead of spending his entire life in the small cottage and village nearby. Some revelations later, Harry Potter was rich and no longer called Belfort Wiggles. His memories of the murderous night proved triumphant in confirming his suspicions. He would then travel around while avoiding the current search party going on for him. Too many parties held an unhealthy interest in him and probably wanted him for their own agendas. Keeping this in mind, he would spend most of this time exploring the new world that had finally been uncovered to him. Dueling rings, all kinds of tomes from shady and legal shops, food, etc. You name it, he was on top of the world for all of these years. No one telling him what he could or couldn't do, Harry went wherever he pleased. There was no shortage of money and plenty of time.
Food became just as much of an obsession as magic. Eating bread and sausages for most of his life became dull after a while so with all these new options Harry ate without stopping. Continent to continent, country to country, and city to city. It became a party that never ended and also never dulled. There were many interesting people, both muggle and magical alike, all of whom taught Harry a variety of things. No longer was he a country bumpkin but someone who knew a little bit about everything. Shamans in the savannas of Africa, monks in the unreachable peaks of the Tibetan snowy mountains, and the occasional shady alley in a magical hot spot. He dueled drunk wizards, saved maidens, was kissed by maidens, and taught by aged cracked out of their mind dark wizards. His magical skills grew immensely as time went by and he could confidently say that there was almost nothing he hadn't seen. When he finally got his hands on one of those Harry Potter books, they weren't too far off in his humble opinion.
Anyway, it wouldn't be until the return of Voldemort that he finally met Dumbledore and agreed to attend Hogwarts. He was not pleased to leave his life of freedom behind but the situation had become dire and he was actively being hunted by a government and the most powerful Dark Lord in the last couple of centuries. Dumbledore did not have long left after he had stupidly decided to put on a cursed ring and perished shortly after. This left him with the burdensome task of defeating the combined forces of every Pureblood ally who sided with the Dark Lord, the entire Ministry, and finally Voldemort himself. Get this, he also had to go on an egg hunt looking for these Horcruxes which granted immortality and there were eight of them. One being himself and delving into the knowledge accumulated by the Blacks helped deal with it. Thankfully, the ritual granted him the knowledge of everything Voldemort knew up until he made that Horcrux. Occlumency proved to be a saving grace as the memories of Voldemort's long life brielfy overtook him to the point of almost replacing him with Voldemort. He had no allies to speak of except a phoenix and a few Order members who were divided now that the wizard they worshipped was gone.
Oh, and his faithful girlfriend Fleur, whom he met while enjoying a luxurious private beach in France. He had natural charm, in his humble opinion again, but it wouldn't be until a Death Eater attack on her family where they would become close. He visited the Delacour estate once when Fleur's father hosted a ball for government officials and nobles. Many French pureblood families attended so Fleur sneaked him so she wouldn't be bored to death by the politicking. So it had come as a surprise when Fleur stopped sending and responding to owl mail. Upon arriving, he discovered the manor under siege and witnessed the Death Eaters brutal takedown of the powerful wards. They had taken offense to Monsieur Delacour's refusal to pledge his political support as the French Head of Magical Transportation. Harry naturally intervened as he watched the family be dragged out into the open. What they had planned for them, Harry didn't know but it clearly wasn't going to be something pleasant.
Fleur covered her sister's eyes as he manipulated the earth into releasing branches to impale as many Death Eaters as possible. The majority of the bunch were taken out by the quick impaling death from below while the rest managed to splinch out of harm's way. He had thought the cowards would try to run after finally being the ones ambushed but he took the precaution to set up one of his anti-teleportation/apparition barriers. He held no mercy for the scum and decided to not give them a chance out of Azkaban. Voldemort would find a much harder time breaking them out of the Underworld. The reward was even sweeter as Fleur would open herself up to him in more ways than one. He was all for it and she was a huge pillar of support throughout the entire war.
The war would not be a pleasant affair for anyone involved and was fought to the bitter end. Dumbledore didn't expect for his trusted spy, Severus Snape, to fully turn over to the Dark Lord. Consequently, he didn't have much of the information that the Headmaster's portrait urged him to obtain from Snape. Harry theorized Snape took one look at the resistance, not much of one, and decided the light side was finished. Didn't hurt that he was an esteemed inner circle member of Voldemort's order and also had a close relationship with him. He was never close to the man until the very end when he turned the traitor into a fine mist. Snape tried to play the side of the undercover agent who needed to make his cover convincing but a quick peek into his mind revealed his surprise at his success. Snape's occlumency was almost insurmountable but he had many years to become accustomed to Voldemort's memories. Tom's knowledge of the mind arts was second to none and Harry's own aptitude for magic was more so.
Guerrilla warfare was the only way to combat a superior opponent who held both experience and numbers. Fleur and the remaining Order members helped where they could but he mainly took on the serious missions. His prowess now rivaled his opponent's and he couldn't stop Harry from attacking his weak followers. For Tom's birthday, Bellatrix Black was delivered to his newly built Slytherin mansion. Bellatrix Black and the rest of the Inner circle would learn to fear their own shadows. Harry would appear and leave a trail of death everywhere he went. The Horcruxes appeared along the way and he eventually got the information from the shared connection with Voldemort. Surprisingly it remained even after getting rid of the horcrux in his scar. He chalked it up to the linked fates of Voldemort and himself. His skill in the mind arts coupled with being the only one actually aware of the connection helped pilfer important intel.
The build-up finally ended sometime later when he came head to head in a duel against Tom Riddle himself. Tom was surprised to see they were on equal footing and the battle lasted for almost the entire day. Reinforcements were useless as their fight destroyed the city island they were on and led to the remains sinking into the island. He grievously injured Tom and revealed that he had finally dealt with all his Horcruxes. In hindsight, this was a dumb idea as magic was at its strongest when powered by emotion. He would know, Lily Potter's sacrifice and protection were crucial for surviving many of the dark attacks Voldemort launched at him. Voldemort's biggest fear death allowed him to cast one immensely powerful earthquake spell which caused the faults to move and sink the island. Harry wasn't suicidal enough to try and take the moment to bring both of them down in one big sacrifice. He had too much to live for and apparated right through the anti-apparition wards. Flying over the battlefield, he could only think of the Statute of Secrecy which lay in shambles down there.
The consequence was the muggles becoming aware that they weren't alone which was the start of a huge chain reaction. The war between Voldemort's reign and the muggles wasn't pretty. Voldemort was ruthless and cast powerful natural disaster spells that wiped out many major muggle cities/settlements. This conflict was much more destructive than the previous one which ended with mutually assured destruction. Voldemort's powerbase was destroyed as many magical settlements were targeted in return and many powerful families were ended. On the other hand, much of the muggle infrastructure was destroyed and they had been sent back to the stone age. A nasty magical lycanthrope-type disease cooked up by the minds of the Unspeakable as a final attempt was released into the air which proved impossible for muggle scientists to cure. He briefly attempted to help but the most he could do was redirect the leylines of the earth to power a barrier that would shield the earth from the celestial influence of the planets, particularly the moon.
The muggles tore themselves to pieces as violent zombie-like symptoms arose from victims who turned into hairy bloodthirsty mindless animals. His solution helped eventually as the disease died with no more lunar magic to power it. The shared trauma led to one good thing out of this whole mess. The remaining magicals and muggles were both exhausted from the horrors they had witnessed. Radiation and zombies werewolves collapsing your daily life was truly a man-made horror beyond comprehension. Both extended a hand in their efforts to rebuild what had once been previously destroyed. His reputation as a liberator or savior for many magicals and muggles alike helped him guide the reconstruction efforts. He shared many of his own hoarded supplies and taught magicals so that the reconstruction could go smoother. Any surviving knowledge was quickly archived as time would wither everything it could. Magical tomes, architecture, technology, history, guides, art, literature, etc. were all now highly valuable to the developing civilization. Wizards would help introduce muggles to the wonders of magic and muggles would help introduce some of their surviving technology. All in all, this new civilization seemed to be on a brighter road than the previous one. The future held incredible potential now that magicals and muggles were finally united.
He was able to finally track down Voldemort to the remains of Godric's Hollow. The mind connection had gradually weakened as time went by, an omen that the end of this story between them was near.
"Harry, please just leave him be. There is nothing in the world worth as much as you. I don't want to lose you now. After everything, please don't do this. Let's just go run away to some faraway place. Do you remember our plan once this all ended? Please! Voldemort was finished in your last fight, he will never recover from his injuries now that his Horcruxes are gone. He failed in every possible way, your business with him is done." Fleur pleaded with teary eyes.
"No more business?! He murdered my parents and has made my life a living hell from the very start. I didn't ask him to come target my family and I did nothing to deserve it. He was the one who came to my house in the middle of the night and tried to off me. No, this has all led up to this moment. I will agree with fate on one thing, I was meant to kill him the moment he marked me that night. As far as we've come, you could have left whenever you wanted. If you want to bail now then go ahead, he's probably here to further desecrate the Potter lineage." Harry ripped his hand away from her hold with a snarl. 'My life had been this fight for as long as I could remember. I could no longer hear Fleur as I moved onwards.'
Harry kept walking and felt a cloaking barrier briefly pass him before his senses to the outside world were cut off. He blasted a few muggles-turned-werewolf zombies into a blood mist while continuing to press onward. Different monstrosities would occasionally hop out from their ambush spots to try and kill Harry. Voldemort must have some form of control over them if they ignored all the commotion he was causing nearby. Harry tried to imagine what kind of spell would allow him to have such perfect control over these inferius werewolves. The disease was passed around through the air and highly contagious but somehow at the same time gave Tom control. Almost like some type of hive mind that he could upon for his needs or for his equally sick twisted pleasures. As Harry walked closer to Tom's magical signature, he could feel the amassing magical energy which indicated one thing. Ritual. Sigh, he just didn't know when to give up.
"Tom, looking sharp as always." Harry mockingly gestured towards Voldemort's still bleeding wounds.
"Ah, the man of the hour. Do you like what I've done with the place? You couldn't stop me, Harry Potter. I was right to choose you that night all those years ago. My equal in every way even if I didn't understand then." Voldemort had his back turned while placing the finishing touches on his work.
"You and your symbolism. It makes me sick. Where it began and where it will end right?" Harry snorted at this cliche way of thinking. He strategized on how to quickly finish this rivalry before deciding to end it with a simple telekinetic crush. He would vanish the remains afterward and finally wash his hands of all this.
"No, the place where it ended but from where I will begin again. Here take a look." Voldemort pulls out a glowing rainbow stone from his satchel. Harry's breath hitched for a second as he immediately recognized the previously missing item. The Philosopher's Stone. Dumbledore had complained about its disappearance in 1991. The question of how Voldemort regained his previous magical prowess entirely and appearance was finally answered. His recovery after their battles terrified him for the longest time until he finally learned some soul-damaging attacks. That slowed him down enough for him to catch up. Upon inspecting the runes and arithmancy on the ground he could vaguely put together its purpose.
It was meant to draw power from planetary phenomena and a magical core, particularly the caster. As fate would have it, the planets were currently aligned and their synergy was at an all-time high. The purpose is some type of space-time distortion and travel. Voldemort was suffering from long-term magical exhaustion though and couldn't provide even one-tenth of the necessary magic needed to make this work...
"You're realizing now, aren't you. I may not have the magic necessary to power it or even start it but this stone and you will do just fine." Tom threw his head back and laughed maniacally before the stone's glow reached blinding levels. The amount of magic released from the stone along with the bit of celestial energy converging overwhelmed his senses momentarily. The runes glowed but calling upon his magic to attempt to disrupt the event was fruitless. His calls for Fawkes went unanswered as they were probably being blocked by the barrier. The world went white as he could suddenly feel everything around him fade into a quiet faraway voice. He could vaguely feel Fleur's calls and the cry of a phoenix. He tried to make sense of the various magics pulling him apart but the end result was obvious. He was going to be reduced to prima materia in a couple moments. Fleur was right all along, he suddenly didn't think this whole revenge schtick was worth it. He wanted to see what became of the united human race now or what the next step was between him and Fleur. Voldemort's pained cries were thankfully the last thing Harry heard before heading out into the next great adventure. Portraits were overrated if you asked him.
