This is the account of the second quest to complete the Unova Pocket Monster Index. Dr. Cedric Juniper assigned Rosa, Hue, and Nate, three Pocket Monster Trainers from Aspertia who have the talent to capture the Pocket Monsters that are found in Unova. Along the way, friendly rivalries bloom, criminal organization returns, and Legendary Pocket Monsters are encountered.

This is the account of the events that transpired on the first day of the quest I had been given. On the day of September 21 of the current year , I, Rosa of Aspertia, a girl of 14 years, undertook the project assigned to me by Dr. Cedric Juniper to complete the New Pocket Monster Index of the Unova region. This quest was assigned to me and my peer Hue of Aspertia due to the occurrences that I will now relay; My mother, Amp of Nimbasa, received a call on her Xtransceiver at 8:00 P.M. from Dr. Cedric Juniper while walking home from working the night shift at the Aspertia Pocket Monster Center, who had been a friend of hers when he had been backpacking throughout Unova, and asked if I would be willing to help him with his project. She replied that I would like to help and was then informed that his assisstant, one Bianca of Nuvema, would arrive the following morning to deliver the Pocket Monster Indexes.

My mother arrived at our house to ask whether I would like to obtain a Pocket Monster Index and a Pocket Monster. I replied in the affirmative, as I had been yearning to travel the Unova region for two years by this time, but had not been given the opportunity until then and after making preparations that night, I left my mother's house at 8:00 A.M. to find Dr. Juniper's assistant, who I had been informed was a girl wearing a large green hat. On the way, I encountered my childhood friend, Hue, of the same years as me in age, who was walking around with his younger sister of eight years, Satura. Hue asked what I was doing, and after I informed him, he decided to help me find Bianca. Satura then went back to their residence and the two of us looked throughout the entire city for Bianca.

But we were unable to find her in our search, until Hue suggested that we look at the Aspertia Outlook, a popular tourist attraction to view the nearby mountains north of the city. We climbed the stairs and did indeed find a person who matched the description I had been given, and introduced herself as Bianca before asking me if she knew anyone named Rosa. I replied that I did and that person was me, and Bianca was surprised and then gave me a Pocket Monster Index and Pocket Monster of the species known as Oshawott to help with my assignment. I was asked by Bianca if I wanted what name I would give to this Oshawott, and after a short consideration, my new partner was known as Wottson. At this point, Hue asked if he too could be given a Pocket Monster Index and Pocket Monster, planning also to leave Aspertia to find someone important.

Bianca decided to oblige his request on the logic of needing help to complete the Pocket Monster Index and he received the same digital encyclopedia as me, but his Pocket Monster was a Snivy, which he named Cornell. Bianca then informed us that a third Trainer had already been given a third Pocket Monster and another Pocket Monster Index by her when she first arrived in Aspertia, but that Trainer had already left the city for the mainland of Unova and would be unlikely to meet us. To commemorate our new acquistion, Hue and I decided to test the strength of our new companions, and engaged in a battle with them. Wottson defeated Cornell through the judicious use of Tackle, and I had my first victory in a Pocket Monster battle with a Pocket Monster of my own. After watching our battle and congratulating Wottson, Bianca took her leave and left the Outlook, saying she was going to visit a old friend while staying here.

Hue and I also descended from the Outlook and he left for Rt. 19 to begin his journey. I decided that while I was still in town, I would learn one last lesson at the Trainer's School. My mother had enrolled me as a student of the school for 5 years now, and I had began my curriculum for the current year a few weeks ago, but with the sudden call to adventure, I would be unable to attend for the forseeable future. The school had finally reopened after the repairs from the damage I had caused that had been referred to by other students as the "Rosa Incident", so I able to enter for the first time in a while and stayed for a class from the Headmistress of the Trainer's School, Hue's mother Colora. After the class, I gave a letter I had prepared the previous night to Colora, to explain my absence for a few months. I then left the classroom, and prepared myself to challenge the Gym that was accessible at its back entrance. My next account will be how I challenged the Aspertia Gym.
