I know New Year's Eve is over but I'm gonna try and put both storylines in here as quickly as possible. This is their first New Year's that they're not in Valencia and they get to celebrate it. Lily will get the help them pull off the biggest New Year's bash ever all right I hope you enjoy the next holiday that I'll have up will be, after this, I'll tell you at the end of this chapter.
it is time to tell you about our crazy New Year's Eve. Last night I mean the chapter is called New Year's Eve/New Year's Day. After all, that's what the story is about right anyway that's what I'm gonna tell you about it be better than trying to go through it all this was their first New Year's without being in Valencia, I mean they've celebrated New Year's before but not like this and I had to get used to human years that were well named in the human naming system. I think they enjoyed their first Christmas though which is good I'm glad about that.

I should say he showed up at one of our parties, but I don't wanna think about that right now. Well, last night was crazy, like I said, I want to tell you all about it. We had to pull up traditions for all the new year for human New Year's at least they never celebrated like this before and were putting up the decorations. We need to put it up and look good she said, and the funny party hats, she said. yes, we have to have those I commented, and the big TV showed the ball drop cod even though it would be very difficult to see from here in the dream room we had our ball drop I said put a number on it and will drop it from the castle, OK that will be fun but what else?
we need a ball for one right I did not think of that in food. We need the traditional fair like what well Black Eyed Peas and all the traditional stuff you would eat for New Year's ham normally have Christmas, but different and other delicious things right I'll decorate the ballroom with beautiful decorations, that sounds great. Will bring in 2024 with a big affair.
we wanted to surprise our new friends and show them that we could throw a big party so we decorated everything Odette and some of her people decorated the whole of our ballroom and put up a big TV so people could watch the ball drop from inside the ballroom. Also, we set up the dining room, and outside streamers hung from everywhere and it looked great. It looked beautiful a new year hopefully with no casualties course there wasn't much hope on that with the bogeyman still at large but a new fresh year and their first full new year here with us.
once everything was decorated, we had dinner first and a big dance to celebrate just like our last ball, but different because this was for New Year's and we dressed and goofy New Year's clothing. I even put everyone in funny hats, because why not have sparkling grape juice, and cider for the ball drop everyone looked at the big screen with some of the people who were outside ready to drop the big ball at midnight we were going to dance till Dawn afterward which would be great but which was a good idea we ate and then we danced to open up our New Year's celebration we never celebrated New Year's this way. I heard Luther say to me Lily you did great thanks I know New Year's is different for you to go back to Alencia it was probably a different experience it was but we love it this is gonna be fun. I normally don't like parties, but this is gonna be fun, especially since it's gonna be a new year a new year with you I blushed at the moment and the thought of it and everyone else too I said a fresh start.
meeting you was the most amazing thing in my life besides other things, saving you from the bogeyman somewhat you saving me from Rothbard and the bogeyman I mean, and my other villains, I know, and we still have more to face, but I'm hoping that our new year will make things easier it will but we have to learn to be more difficult royalty. I don't think it'll be that hard. I don't think that will be hard at all.
after the dinner and the dancing for the first half, which we danced all night until 11, we put up a clock to count down to four to the new year. The countdown began as we counted down from 10 to one to welcome in the new year. it said goodbye to 2000 22,023 and welcomed 2024 or pay replaced everywhere and I love how you keep up with the years better than we did. It's not any different it's just the naming of the year is different. Your monsters are the same so that helps from December to January I said, and then February the most important month is the month, which is the one I'm looking forward to the most.

I felt bad for Odette, though, without her lover by her side, who died well it won't be long till I'll pass two she said, and well the two of you taking over is the new rulers I think you'll do great, I'll retire and I'll give the throne to you that's one thing you'll be looking forward to in the new year. Yes, we created our other guests that were part of our family and friends and other people who are part of the kingdom who met outside who couldn't come inside not because we wouldn't want them, but because they went in the room they get to watch the ball drop from outside and the rest of us will get to watch it from inside.
The countdown began at 987 we kept counting until we got to 65-4321. We all shouted as the ball dropped from the castle the happy new year as we did. We drank our glasses after the toast and couples kissed like we were supposed to and then we continued dancing people who were outside were allowed to come in now and we continued the dance
after that, we all went to bed and ate breakfast and everything and the rest of the day just went like normal and that was our new year. Thanks for letting me share it with you.

ending story here. I know it was quick, but holiday stories aren't as long as most stories, and I still have a full fledge. New story plan for the new story for the counterpart. Wish it'll be another two more stories probably after this one or one more story after not this particular one, but two more books following this, this weaves in throughout the year with holidays and fun things like this I hope you enjoy and happy new year and have a wonderful 2024.
