Once she reached her room and locked her door she screamed.

Smashed a few vases.

Threw a cup at the mirror.

Flipped the table, spilling paper and ink on the floor.

She hated being the seventh child. The forgotten one.

She wasn't the Heir.

She wasn't the Foolish Braver.

She wasn't the natural born Dragon-Rider.

She wasn't the natural Born Mother.

She wasn't the Studious Maestar.

She wasn't the Sweet nor Kind Sister.

All she had was her looks but they were temporary. Viserra will soon blossom into a beauty that surpasses her. When she grows older her looks will disappear and what will that leave her? She didn't have any trait that made her special in the eyes of her family nor the realm.

Who will she marry? She wanted a family who could love her for who she is and for her to love back. She was jealous of all her siblings who have loving families.

Aemon and Jocelyen who look after and care for her niece as if she was the next Queen. Which might be the case if what she suspects. If the looks Aemon was getting from father was anything to go by.

Baelon and Alyssa who have a passionate love life, who created the picture perfect family. With their loving atmosphere and little Viserys.

Gaemon and Viserra, while her little brother might be blind but the rest of the family isn't. They have all the requirements of a family: a husband and wife along with their child, Starfyre. The only thing that is missing is father putting forth the wedding.

The only thing that gets rid of Vissera's perfect future is if father arranges a marriage between Gaemon and Rhaenys. The face Vissera would make would be priceless. The brat deserved to be taken down a peg or two. It would allow them a chance to actually bond over something.

"Saera, are you alright?" A familiar voice called out from the opposite side of the door.

"Go away!" I yelled at Gaemon.

"Hell no!" Gaemon said as he started knocking on the door again and again. "Open the door up! Before the Old man comes!" I blinked at the statement as I walked up to my door and opened it.

"What did you do?" I asked as I finished ushering him into my room. What sort of mischief did Gaemon pull to have him running to her to hide.

"Chased after you." Gaemon said as he looked at me with confusion.

"What?" I asked in confusion

"After the Old man sent you to your room I came running." Gaemon said and I looked straight into his eyes to see no falsehood.

"Why?" I couldn't help but ask

"What do you mean why? I came here to comfort you." Gaemon said

"What makes you think I'm upset?" I asked my little brother and he just looked around my room and gave me a dry look that could rival the sand of Dorne.

"Do you want to talk?" Gaemon asked as sat down on the floor next to my bed.

"No." I said as I sat next to him. I stuffed my head behind my legs, feeling sadder and more irritated than usual. Instantly, I felt guilty. Gaemon was here, worried for her and sitting beside her and here she was, pushing him away. But even still, she didn't feel like talking to him.

"It is okay," he said kindly. "If you don't wish to talk about it, you don't have to."

Their conversation fell away into a companionable silence. She closely listened for the expected shuffling of feet. A few beats of silence later, she lifted her head from her legs.

He was still there, sitting and looking up at the orange sky.

"Shouldn't you be at dinner?" I asked

"I should," Gaemon shrugged

"Then, why are you still here?"

"Because I am needed here more than back there," he answered, turning to look her in the eyes. "And also because I wish to be here, alongside my big sister."

Tears begin to fall from my eyes. Tears of sadness and joy. A part of her hoped it would be her mother or one of her elder sisters, even Daella would do. But instead of the family members who were supposed to be ones comforting her were nowhere to be found. Instead it was the youngest member of the family.

The one who always plays pranks on his family. The one who often leaves lessons to explore the castle. The one who sleeps with his dragon then on his own bed. The one who is always in his own little world where no could enter but him and Starfyre.

In spite of that, it was not surprising at all. Gaemon is the only member of their family who memorizes the names and faces of every guard within the Red Keep. Toys and accessories from his collection are always donated to orphanages so the children can eat and play.

"Never change my oh so wonderful brother." I said as I punctuated my statement by turning to my brother and pinching his round cheeks to his consternation. There will come a time when I won't be able to pinch his cheeks, tussle his hair, or cuddle him like I used to. Eventually he will become a man and eventually become involved with a woman, whether she be Vissera, Rhaenys, or another woman.

Whoever the woman Gaemon will end up with will be a lucky one.

"I can't promise that Saera but I promise you I will always be on your side." Gaemon said as he hugged me.

I smiled at that oath he made me.

"I will hold you to it little brother." I said
