Authors Notes: Hi folks and HAPPY NEW YEAR, now I know this story update is out of order but I just couldn't wait any longer to update, for now we approach the final struggle of the Paladins and Frozen Gangs quest to stop the Snow Queen! So lets VOLTRON!

:The Shattered Eye PT 1:

Lotors command ship flew through a purple nebula flying far away from the Syrox system after collecting the Snow Queen who had claimed her prize the Shattered Eye. Ingrid soon arrived on the bridge with the hatred filled stone floating in her hands. Lotor and the generals stood before her with very mute expressions but Zethrid was just glaring at her.

"Perfect timing Prince Lotor, it would seem our plan has come to fruition." The Snow Queen said proudly.

"I see you acquired what you seek." Lotor smirked.

"Yes I did and now a new age is coming." Ingrid smirked back as she admired the glow of the stone.

"Good." Lotor said but then he nodded to his generals subtly giving them the signal. Suddenly they raised their blasters and surrounded the Snow Queen who looked at them all in complete shock.

"Wha…what is this!?" Ingrid glared at the Galran Prince who trained his blade on the treacherous Snow Queen.

"Did you really think I had no knowledge of that relic that you seek, the Shattered Eye a relic that the Druul used to destroy worlds was lost when my Grandfather wiped them out." Lotor said to her. "I did help you retrieve this relic, but only so I could destroy it! I have much grander plans for the universe for the Galra Empire and that stone has no place in it. Queen Elsa warned me you could not be trusted, it seems she was right and I am not one to be deceived."

Ingrid was completely surprised by this revelation but then the unexpected happened. "Oh no no please spare me I beg you!" She begged as she bowed to the ground. The generals and Garlan Prince were completely taken aback, but Lotor could see that something was a foot.

Suddenly Ingrid's eyes turned white and a sheet of ice emerged from her hands going across the floor and one by one the five Galra halfbreeds became trapped within prisons of ice right up to their necks Zethrid tried to break free but even with her strength she couldn't over power the strong ice magic that trapped her.

They looked to the sound of laughter from a very amused Ingrid. "Very amusing but pointless, did you fools think I wasn't aware of your deceptions as well. You say you were using me to claim the relic, but in truth you were nothing to me but a means to an end."

Lotor growled with effort trying to break free. Just then Kovu hissed at Ingrid and leaped at her only for Ingrid to fire a blast of ice from one finger trapping the cat in ice. If Narti had expressions she would be horrified. Zethrid, Ezor and Axca looked completely horrified by this.

"GRRR I WILL KILL YOU FOR THAT!" Zethird yelled only for her mouth to be sealed in ice.

"Oh be silent you mindless brute." Ingrid scoffed before turning to the Galran Prince. "Oh don't look so glum, with the Shattered Eye I intend to create a new world where people like me can live in peace and security with no fear of being hunted or hated by those who ostracised them!" She said as the stone glinted in her eyes. "But don't worry, if there are those who survive what's to come then they will experience what it is like to become the hunted, if they survive on their own then they will."

She then got right up into Lotors face as he growled with effort. "Is that not what your illustrious father had taught you?"

"My fathers empire may've been built on the bones of those we've conquered and enslaved but you forget Ingrid I am not him!" He growls in anger that this witch would dare compare him to his father. "My goals are beyond your frail understanding, and I envision a universe created through alliances not through bloodshed my father has committed!"

Ingrid just scoffed at the princes idealism. "You think yourself a better man, but your just as blind and arrogant as your father, you just don't know it yet." Ingrid then bore a knowing smirk. "Tell me, do you think they will ever forgive you for deceiving them?"

It was then Lotors pupils shrunk, he didn't know how but this Snow Queen knew a secret that not even his Generals knew nor did the Paladins, Blade of Marmora or the rest of the Galra Empire knew of. "I..I don't know what you speak of!"

"Oh I think you do." Ingrid smirked. "Now my prince if you excuse me, I have a new world to create." She began walking away from the bridge as a large storm of ice gathered around her. "Believe me when this is over you will thank me for this erasing those who fear us will ensure a more peaceful existence." The storm of ice faded and created a smaller Ice warrior she and the Shattered Eye were inside of and the warrior stretched his wings and blasted out of the command ship and disappeared into the cold night of space. Leaving a frozen commandship with its crew trapped in ice.

Elsewhere:

In another part of space the Castle of Lions floated floated in silence, but inside all was not well, The Paladins, Shiro, Elsa, Kristof, Sven and Olaf were all but at a loss. The quest they embarked on to find the keys, destroy the Shattered Eye and stop Ingrid had all come to naught, for despite their efforts when they were so close to their goal they find that Voltron the most powerful weapon in the universe couldn't destroy the stone of hatred merely knock a chip off like a pickaxe to quartz. Yet despite this Allura speaks of one last hope.

"Hold on I thought I didn't hear that right, there's still one last hope?" Kristof questioned.

"Yeah uh Allura I don't know what you were seeing but what we saw in the storm Voltrons sword couldn't shatter that stone only chip it!" Hunk had to agree.

"I just don't get it we managed to overcome the Eye back in the ship so why couldn't we shatter it?" Elsa wondered.

Allura was left with a questionable look on this as well, in truth she too wondered why couldn't Voltron destroy the stone? "I..I am not sure. I sense a piece of the puzzle may still be missing, we'll have to figure it out as we go. For the moment though there is still hope, for while Ingrid may possess the Eye, she has yet to uncover the location of the Kirai itself."

This placed a look of confusion on the faces of our heroes. "Kirai?" Lance wondered.

"Uh okay now you've lost me?" Keith said.

"Hold on." Pidge voiced. "I think I've heard that somewhere before, it was in the section of the Galra database that Kolivan had given to us."

"Yes, it is that which the Druul created to enhance the Eyes powers to a galactic level through enhancing the users hatred through the stone." Allura explained. "We must uncover its location before Ingrid does and destroy it, then we can turn our attention to recovering and finding a way to destroy the Eye."

"But Princess even if that were possible, the database shows no location." Coran voiced.

"Coran has a point I've looked over it again and again with Corans help, this Kirai thing could be anywhere in the universe." Pidge agreed with the personal aid.

"And something tells me we haven't got time for another scavenger hunt." Kristof agreed. "Ingrid could be using the Eye already."

"Actually, it is within the remnants of the Druul homeworld Unmei." Allura then said which took the rest of the team completely aback.

"WHAT?" Everyone exclaimed.

"But..A…Allura how do you know this?" Elsa asked truth be told Shiro and Keith were quite curious about this development as well.

"My father." Allura answered much to the surprise of Coran as Allura turned back to the front of the bridge. "He disclosed it's location to me in the message conveyed by the third key."

"And you never thought to tell us?" Shiro questioned surprised that Allura kept vital information from them.

Allura turned back to the other Paladins and her friends. "My father did not wish it so." She answered much to the confusion and weariness of the rest of the team, the only one to see a positive side was Olaf.

"Okay well that means we can find this uh badder thing and destroy it right thats good?" Olaf asked.

"Well its a slim chance but right now it might be the only one we've got." Keith notioned looking to Shiro.

"Agreed, Coran plot a course to Planet Unmei we've got to move fast." Shiro nodded and turned to Coran.

"Indeed, for our tactical advantage over Ingrid will not last long the Eye and The Kirai are linked, and it's only a matter of time before she learns this we must act before that happens." Allura noted with a serious face.

So with this new information the Castle of Lions generated a wormhole in front of it and it blasted off to parts unknown in this last effort to prevent Ingrid's plan coming to fruition.

Elsewhere:

In a far off corner of space Ingrid had found refuge in a cloister of meteors surrounding a planet that was teeming with life. Ingrid had created an ice dome around her for protection as she sat in a kneeling position with the Shattered Eye floating before her.

"Now after all these years I will finally have the ending I want." She focused her powers into the Eye and it did let out a small blast of energy towards the planet but when it faded, nothing seemed to happen. This surprised Ingrid greatly. "What..w..why is nothing happening?!" She grabbed the stone in her hand and looked at it.

"I..I saw your power you nearly tore the Paladins successors through that hate that courses within you but this is only a fraction of what you showed me!" She exclaimed clenching it in her hand. "What am I missing?!" She exclaimed.

Was all her efforts for nothing was she on a wild Yelmore chase? Then suddenly she felt a pulsing light on her face and looked to the Shattered Eye it was pulsing, then out of nowhere it floated right in front of her and shined even brighter. The Snow Queens eyes were transfixed on the stone as her eyes suddenly turned green. Then she saw it. It looked like a planet that had been shattered like glass with large fragments orbiting it and at its centre some metal orb with a pulsing green light shining from it. The vision had changed to what looked like a circle of jagged stones surrounding the Eye itself surging with power. It was like the Eye was showing her something.

Meanwhile: Castle of Lions:

The Altean flagship flew through the wormhole at its fastest speed towards its next destination. Allura was on the bridge piloting the Castle with Coran, while in the living area Shiro, Keith, Hunk, Kristof, Sven, Olaf, Lance and Elsa were discussing something. Just then Pidge entered the room.

"Okay I've sent word out to the Blades and other members of the Coalition, they know about the Eye, and what its capable of." Pidge told everyone. Since Ingrid took the Shattered Eye, there was a possibility she would try to use it immediately putting billions of lives at risk. So they had to make a contingency plan in case they failed to destroy the Eye.

"Good are they making the appropriate arrangements." Shiro asked.

"Yeah if Ingrid does unleash the power of the Eye they'll either confine themselves to separate cells or disperse to the galaxy so they can't hurt each other." Pidge said but she had a hint of remorse in her voice.

"Asking people to either lock themselves up or leave their home?" Hunk said rather unsure about this course of action. "I gotta say Shiro…I don't like this at all."

Shiro sighed in remorse even he was unsure of this move. "I don't like it either but if Ingrid unleashes the power of the Eye billions of planets and their people could die. This might be the only way to protect them."

"Well it won't happen because we'll find this Kirai thingy, destroy it and stop the Snow Queen." Olaf said feeling a little hopeful.

"Yeah something that we didn't know about because Allura refused to share it." Kristof then said as he stood up from the chair while Pidge sat down. "I mean am I the only one who's still reeling from that."

"Kristof does have a point, I mean it's not like Allura to keep secrets." Elsa agreed. "But I'm sure she had her reasons."

"Maybe." Shiro said crossing his arms. "But thats still no reason to keep secrets that could aid the team in stopping this threat."

"Shiro I don't like this any more than you but honestly, I think Allura made the right call not telling us." Keith then said to him.

"Well sure you would say that Keith." Lance said joining this discussion as the new Black Paladin turned to him.

"Lance think about it, if Allura had told us and if we had gotten captured Zarkons Witch would rip open our heads to learn this intel." Keith said.

"Or worse Ingrid would've found out about it through the connection she shares with me, if the Black Lion hadn't weakened it." Elsa began to see Keith's argument. "And he's right that witch could've torn our minds apart to find this out." She turned to Shiro him being a victim of that Witches vile magics including herself. "Shiro you should know this more than anyone."

The former Black Paladin had to admit they did have a valid point to the argument, he knew more than most what Haggar was capable of. Plus Ingrid connection to Elsa through her powers. "Okay maybe, but thats still no reason to keep vital intel from the rest of the team."

"But we've still overlooked one thing." Kristof then voiced. "We still haven't found Anna yet."

"Kristof's right, if Ingrid does manage to unleash the power of the Eye across the universe. Anna could be in grave danger by the inhabitants of whatever planet she's on." Elsa realised with some horror.

"Y…You mean they would try and hurt her?!" Olaf said now greatly worried for his friend, while Pidge sat in contemplation and worry for one she called sister.

"Or worse." Kristof then said.

"Hey we know man but we've been all over the galaxy, and that Tachyon tracker thingamajig still hasn't found anything." Lance explained.

"Even the Blades have had no luck in finding her, the Galra don't have her prisoner anywhere." Keith agreed.

"But she has to be here, she was with us when the light saved us from Ingrid." Elsa said looking like she was about to have a panic attack. "I…if anything's happened to her…" Ice began to form at Elsa's feet.

"Elsa." Shiro grabbed both her hands. "Look at me." he said and so Elsa looked at him with panic in her eyes. "Breathe its okay.. just breathe." She did as he said and took a deep breath and exhaled in and out and again, gradually the ice receded. She then edged closer into his arms as Shiro hugged her.

"Its gonna be okay, Annas alive I know it." He said softly as they broke their embrace. "Lets examine what we know. We know that somehow a bright light saved you from the Snow Queen and brought you to our universe."

"So maybe during the crossing you guys got separated across the universe like some kind of temporal displacement." Hunk theorised while Pidge remained silent in contemplation but still listened to their words.

"Well maybe Anna ended up in a part of the universe we haven't covered yet." Lance wondered.

"We don't have time to search the entire universe." Keith then voiced.

"Right, if we could only find some kind of connection, something that ties it all together that might lead us to where she is." Shiro wondered.

Pidge's eyes widened at those words, it was like something had suddenly clicked. "Connection." She breathed and then she gasped in realisation, and smacked herself on the head. "OH I AM SO STUPID HOW DID WE NOT SEE THIS BEFORE?!" Pidge yelled in partial anger and joy the rest of the team looked in complete surprise by her sudden outburst.

"Uh Pidge are you okay?" Lance asked thinking Pidge had finally snapped.

"See what Pidge what are you talking about?" Keith then asked.

"Guys don't you get it! The key to finding Anna has been right under our noses the entire time I think we can find her!" Pidge said in some kind of excitement.

Everyone present looked with confused and hopeful looks in their eyes. Elsas looked more hopeful could this be the break they needed to find her sister. "Really!" She said with hope in her heart. "But how?!"

The hanger:

Seconds later everyone including Allura was gathered in the hanger and they stood before the Green Lion. "This is how." Pidge explained.

"Uh okay Pidge now you've lost me?" Kristof wondered while Sven looked rather bemused as did Olaf.

"So the Green Lion can help us find Anna? But how?" Olaf asked. Pidge looked to Keith, Shiro, Hunk and Lance.

"Remember when Elsa was captured by Zarkon and we infiltrated his fortress to rescue her?" Pidge asked.

"Not something I like to remember." Elsa said still harbouring some bad memories from the experience namely while she was under Haggars influence.

"Oh yeah how could I forget, when she stowed aboard, and got flung out of an airlock with Sendak." Lance recalled.

"But she was saved by the Green Lion." Pidge explained. "Because it recognised the same qualities she saw in me."

Allura began to see where the Green Paladin was going with this. "Thats right, it recognised the daring act Anna performed to try and help save Elsa."

"During the battle." Keith soon caught on as well. "We helped her forge a bond with the Green Lion."

"Exactly!" Pidge said loudly before calming herself. "Exactly, and we know that the lions are connected to us through the bond we share with them, it's how they're able to sense when we're in any danger."

"Like when Red came to save me and Allura when we were stranded in space." Keith recalled.

"Or when Black and Green saved me and Pidge when we first encountered that Robeast on Arus." Shiro remembered the very first week of being Defenders of the Universe.

"Right like when we unlock new powers and abilities the lions sense when we need them!" Hunk realised.

"But there's one crucial thing." Pidge explained. "That connection it goes both ways, we can sense the Lions from a great distance."

"When Zarkon was tracking us, he used his connection to the Black Lion being its former Paladin to find us! Because he could sense it anywhere in the universe!" Allura realised.

"Hey that means!" Lance realised it now too and it wasn't long before Elsa and Kristof came to that same conclusion.

"We can use Anna's bond to the Green Lion to find her!" They both said.

Sven jumped with joy and Olaf looked like he was going to burst with happiness. "YAY I knew there was a way!" Olaf bounced and hugged the Green Lions paw.

"Great so what do we have to do?" Kristof asked hastily.

"Well its not really a matter of what we do." Keith explained to him but this just got the Arendellian Ice Master confused.

"Keith is right, as the Green Lions Paladin, this is a task only Pidge can undertake." Allura explained as everyones eyes now lay upon her. "But I must confess this seems like a long shot."

"Maybe but if it finds my sister we have to take it!" Elsa urged.

"From where I'm standing we don't have a choice." Pidge agreed Shiro could see she was dead set on doing this, and saw the same determined look in Elsas eye, he knew from experience how strong a lions bond with its Paladin was so if there was a faint chance it could find Anna they couldn't ignore it. So he looked determined to everyone.

"Do it." Shiro said.

Moments later Pidge was inside the Green Lions cockpit as it surged into life. "Okay girl we've got work to do." She said.

Outside everyone watched what was going on. "Okay so how is she going to find Anna?" Olaf wondered as he looked to the Paladins.

"Well Olaf, as we explained the Lions and their Paladins share a special bond, in a way we have yet begun to fully understand." Allura explains as best she could. "This bond is strongest on the spiritual plane."

"So she connects to the Green Lions spirit and uses that to find Anna?" Kristof wondered.

"Its more than that." Shiro explains. "When I was trying to strengthen my bond to the Black Lion to try and block Zarkon out I entered, well some kind of spiritual plane connecting the Lions consciousness to its Paladin."

"Oh so, Anna does have a connection to the Green Lion so Pidge is going to use it to find out where the light sent her and when Pidge finds out we can find her!" Olaf realised, frankly both Allura and Shiro were amazed Olaf pieced that together Lance even more so.

"Okay I just give up now." Lance muttered. Elsa could understand what Shiro and Allura were saying, it reminded her how she briefly connected to the Black Lion when it showed her its past, or when it blocked her connection to Ingrid.

Inside the Green Lion, Pidge took a deep breath and then relaxed herself. "Remember Pidge, you must focus your spiritual energy connect to your lion, like you learned on Olkarion." Allura called in on the coms.

Pidge let herself relax and let her spiritual energies flow, suddenly she was now in a void and behind her was her Lions spirit which glowed with energy and side by side they opened their eyes in a bright yellow light. Suddenly Pidge found herself in a green nebula like void, she couldn't begin to imagine how beautiful this was.

"Whoa!" She breathed. "This is so cool!" Just then she heard a voice.

"Pidge what your seeing is your lions consciousness." Shiro's voice called. "Your both connected, so you need to focus on what you need to do so think about her….think about….Anna."

So the Green Paladin closed her eyes and concentrated, then as if by magic she was in a hyperspeed tunnel showing the stars of the universe, but then appearing around her were images. No memories namely of the time she spent with Anna. From when they were in the gardens of Arendelle's castle. "Katie…" Pidge heard her own name.

"What?" Annas voice sounded. "My real name…its Katie" More and more memories appeared and each showed the bond between them almost like sisters, and how she shared her memories of her brother and father and even giggling about her choice of fashion.

A lone tear ran down Pidge's face as the memories continued to flood through the vortex. "I will find you Anna…I promise…" She thought. "Come on girl..help me…help me find her."

Back in reality the Green Lions eyes glowed bright and the lion itself began to growl much to the surprise of everyone else. "Somethings happening." Keith realised.

"Come on Pidge." Elsa hopped.

In the spiritual plane the Green Lions spirit then flew down the vortex, taking Pidge by surprise as she ran after it. Suddenly they were flung out of the vortex and before them lay a planet that looked like it was completely frozen with a large outer ring of what looked like a frozen sheet of ice with mountains around it. The Green Paladin gasped in realisation she recognised this planet all too well. The vision then surged her under the planets frozen surface to deep underwater through rocky caverns and it showed her the area where a certain monster once kept residence and far below it, Pidge gasped in amazement it was a familiar looking cocoon of ice, this seemed consistent with what they had seen.

"Pidge." She heard it, a voice she knew all to well. "Anna!" She gasped but suddenly a bright light encompassed everything.

Pidge's eyes surged open as she was now back in reality, she breathed heavily from the whole the outside the Green Lion lowered its head to the ground and opened its jaw revealing Pidge standing in the ramp way looking down and exhausted. In concern everyone ran over to her.

"Pidge are you alright?" Shiro asked seeing this as an after affect of connecting to the lions on a deep level.

"What did you see?" Elsa asked urgently as Kristof, Olaf and Sven looked with hopeful eyes, after a second Pidge looked at them with a joyous smile and tears running down her face.

"We…we've found her." She breathed which stunned everyone in the room and Elsa was so full of joy she pulled Pidge into a hug as tears streamed down her face which she was more than happy to return. Keith couldn't help but crack a smile on this scene there was hope after all.

The Bridge:

"The Frozen Planet?" Coran said in surprise as everyone was gathered around the map of the universe on the bridge using what Pidge had seen in her visions. "Are you sure number five."

"I'm positive my lion showed me this is where Anna is!" Pidge sighed.

"Hey me and Lance got stranded there, Lance you remember right?" Hunk said excitedly to the new Red Paladin.

"How could I forget." Lance smiled especially since he was remembering the inhabitants of that planet very fondly indeed.

"Hold on guys." Kristof then said. "I think I remember you saying something about how you met a bunch of mermaids on an ice planet?"

"Yeah after we all got separated during our fight with Zarkon." Hunk confirmed. "But its not really ice just on the surface it's completely underwater and it's inhabited by alien Mer people."

"Wait mermaids!" Olaf chirped with immediate interest. "Real life mermaids!" This also caught Sven's interest too.

"Well not the type that sing in fairy tales little guy but yeah apparently their queen was under the influence of this monster called the Baku which they thought was food but really it was controlling them." Lance recalled.

"I think I remember this, you used the Blue Lion to defeat this Baku creature and saved them." Elsa remembered this story from when they first met the Paladins, but then a worrying thought crossed her mind. "But if Annas down there she'll drown won't she?" She asked with worry.

"No she's in the same ice cocoon as you and Kristof were when we found you, so she should be okay for now." Pidge assured them.

"Unless the Mer found her." Lance voiced to which Kieth nudged him, as this was a sensitive matter. "But uh don't worry Elsa the Mer are friends of ours I'm sure Anna will be safe." He said which did put an assuring smile on the Ice Queens face.

"Then lets go get her." She suggested.

"Elsa hold on we can't divert from our mission we have to get to planet Unmei and destroy this enhancer before Ingrid can get to it." Coran reminded her.

"But Coran its my sister I won't leave her there!" Elsa exclaimed just then Allura stepped up and put an assuring hand on her shoulder.

"Elsa is right Anna is one of us and we do not leave our friends behind." Allura agreed.

"Okay then I say we divide and conquer a team goes to the Frozen Planet to find Anna while the rest of us continue to Unmei." Keith suggested to which Shiro nodded in agreement.

"Then I'm going to that planet." Elsa said determined.

"Not without me your not." Kristof smiled as he stood next to the Ice Queen.

"Or us." Olaf then stood beside her with Sven smiling at Elsa who smiled lovingly back in return knowing they were with her all the way. The other Paladins and Alteans smiled at them showing their loyalty and love to those they considered family.

Keith turns to Shiro. "Shiro, I know your place is here to help us from the Castle but, if we are too late in stopping Ingrid…" His brother figure placed an assuring hand on Kieth's shoulder.

"You don't need to say anything Keith I'll go with them." Shiro smiled and he smiled back in return but then turned to a more serious expression addressing everyone. "Okay everyone listen up, this could be our last shot at stopping Ingrid from using the Shattered Eye, Paladins you get to Unmei and destroy this Kirai before she can use it to enhance the Eyes power." He said and everyone listened intently. "But in the event you don't succeed, here is what you do. You take the lions and hide them in the farthest corners of the universe and get away from them and each other as far as you can, if the Eye was unleashed and it affected all of you.."

The very thought put haunting thoughts into the Paladins minds, they witnessed first hand what the Eye could do to them at close exposure but if unleashed while in the lions, their rage could use them to a terrible effect.

"I know…a terrible thought." Allura contemplated in fear and Coran was honestly unsure about the success of this mission all was riding on it.

"It won't come to that." Elsa said to him, if we can survive Zarkons attack on Arendelle or even alternate realities I know we can survive this!"

Kieth smiled at Elsa's determination and Shiro was the proudest of all, she had indeed come a long way on this whole journey and much different than the queen he first met in Arendelle.

"Then let's do it!" Kieth agreed.

The Castle of Lions exited the wormhole part way to their destination, and in the hanger, Shiro clad in his Paladin suit joined Elsa in her flight suit and Kristof in his survival suit with Olaf and Sven. They all bid their goodbyes to the Paladins with warming hugs and Kieth gave Shiro a bro hug wishing him luck on the mission. So the away team boarded the Exploration pod with the reindeer, Snowman and Ice Master riding in the back while Shiro and Elsa flew up front.

"Hey." Lance called getting their attention. "Go get our girl." Elsa smiled warmly at that.

The pod lifted off from the hanger of the Castle and flew out into space, on the bridge Allura stood at her station focusing her energy into the crystal and in seconds a wormhole opened before the Pod.

"You ready?" Shiro asked as he held Elsa's hand and she looked at him warmly.

"Lets bring Anna home." Elsa smiled and so with a nod of his head Shiro engaged the thrusters on the pod and they blasted off, hoping by missions end to bring back an old friend. A second wormhole appeared before the Castle of Lions and it blasted off continuing on its journey.

Many Hours later:

In the coldness of a cyan coloured nebula, the Altean flagship emerges from the wormhole and before them lay the planet Unmei former homeworld of the now extinct Druul race. The planet itself was shattered but the debris seemed to be around a large metallic sphere with a dark centre. On the bridge the Paladins and Alteans gazed out at the remains of this planet.

"Whoa no doubt the Galra had been here." Lance whistled.

"According to the database the Blades provided, Zarkon's grandfather launched a final attack on this planet slaughtering all the Druul people before he completely decimated the planet." Pidge explained looking at the section of the Galra history database.

"Well guess we know where Zarkon got his knack for destroying planets from." Lance realised.

"This was a time before the alliance he made with my father and the Paladins of old." Allura explained. "Hard to imagine we would be here now."

"Indeed, a race of conquers wiped out in one fell swoop." Coran said.

"But what's that thing in the centre, it looks like the planets core?" Keith wondered. Hunk took some scans from his station and brought it up on the Castle monitors.

"I..don't think I understand it but I think its some kind of outer shell for the core." Hunk diagnosed when the monitors brought up the close ups of the core and the large gaping holes created by some kind of weapon. "Judging from the exterior damage I'd say something really powerful must've pierced the shell and destroyed the core itself but the outer shell remains intact."

"Best guess the explosion must've caused a gravitational anomaly hence why the shards haven't been completely shattered." Pidge realised.

"Allura where do you think the Kirai is?" Keith asked, and Allura looked at the shattered planet, remembering the vision her father had showed her.

Flashback:

"The Kirai is an essential part of unleashing the Eyes full power Allura. It was thought to be lost in the last battle with Zarkon's Grandfather." Alfors spirit told her before he showed her the Druul homeworld completely shattered."In contemplating the Galran history tracks Zarkon and I discovered that the King of the Druul hid the Kirai within the planets inner core. Should the Eye and the Kirai, come together the true power of the Eye will be unleashed and the universe will be lost. You must destroy it, only Voltron can do this."

Allura gazed upon the vision showed to her as the scene faded out into a bright flash of white light.

Present day:

"Its within the centre of the planets inner core, in that metal shell." Allura relayed pointing to the metal core.

"Alright then we'll head inside and try and locate this thing." Keith decided. "Pidge is there anything we need to watch out for."

Pidge looked at the scans of the planets core. "Theres no sign of any excess radiation or threatening anomalies and the Lions should be able to withstand the insides of the inner core."

"Coran, set the castle defences to maximum, once Ingrid uncovers the existence of the Kirai, she will not hesitate to obtain it by any means nessecary you must hold her off should she arrive." Allura told her personal aid.

"You can rely on me Princess I won't let Ingrid get anywhere near that core, besides your father would've wanted me to do the same." Coran smiled to her and She did the same.

"Okay guys this is it we only get one shot, so lets make it count!" Keith relayed and so the five Paladins went to their respective lifts and were taken down into the castle. Now clad in their Paladin suits they all jumped to the zip lines and jumped down the chute that took them to their speeders, speeding down the tunnel and arriving at their respective lions. One by one the Lions roared into life, soaring from their hangers and towards the planet itself.

"Allura see if you can find us an entry point." Keith relayed from the Black Lion.

"Commencing sonic scan." Allura called from the Blue lion which roared and formed its sonic cannon on its back and unleashed a sonic wave towards the planet, the sound waves sent back a radar scan to the lions console and it was then the princess saw an entry point.

"There its upper right shell there's a hole big enough for the lions to fit through." Allura relayed.

"Hunk, you take point we'll take down whatever debris is in our way." Keith relayed.

"Got it." Hunk replied from the Yellow Lion, they approached the cores shell and entered through the hole with the Yellow lion ahead, it formed its armour claws ready for anything. The pride flew through the spiralling tunnels of the core thanks to their flying experience with the Garrison Kieth, Lance, Hunk and Pidge could fly with ease and with Allura's continual mastery of the Blue Lion she followed them with such ease.

"Man this is like one big roller coaster!" Lance exclaimed.

"Ugh ugh guys I'm not feeling so good!" Hunk groaned.

"Do not hurl Hunk!" Lance exclaimed. Thankfully they saw the end of the tunnel and they emerged out of it and found the inner shell of the core.

"There the Kirai is within the inner core." Allura relayed and the Lions began their approach to the core, but what happened next no one could have foreseen. For all of a sudden large looking turrets swooped out of a section of the shell and fired upon the lions.

"Incoming!" Pidge relayed.

"Scatter!" Keith exclaimed and the Lions quickly flew away avoiding the blaster fire from the turrets, then suddenly large looking missiles were fired but strangely disassembled and unleashed a flurry of blasts.

The Green Lion quickly flew in and formed its vine cannon on its back and fired upon the missiles the beam struck them all and the vines grew and crushed them. The Yellow Lion managed to absorb the impact of the remaining missiles before it fired an energy disk from its back shattering the other missiles but the turrets were still firing.

"What the heck! I thought this place was abandoned?!" Lance exclaimed as he quickly dodged another incoming laser blast with the Red Lions agility.

"It must be an automated defense system!" Pidge realised.

"But how can there be power in these machines even after the planets destruction its been a millions Deca-phoebs ago!" Allura questioned.

"Hey maybe we can find out when we're not in a fire fight!" Hunk exclaimed.

"So this thing has defences, we just need a stronger offence." Keith realised as the Paladins knew what they needed to do.

"FORM VOLTRON!"

The lions came together in a bright light, the Black Lion roared as the lions disassembled and reassembled themselves into their component parts. Blue and Yellow forming the feet and legs, with Green and Red forming the arms and body, and Black formed the head. Voltron was assembled and ready for action as each of its lion heads roared.

The Legendary Defender blasted down to the inner cores shell and threw a punch at one of the turrets smashing it completely. However the defences weren't gonna let them off that lightly as another double barrelled turret emerged to Voltrons left. "Pidge to your left!" Keith exclaimed and Voltron fired an energy blast at the turret destroying it.

"GAHH!" A massive energy blast struck Voltron in the chest blasting him back, Yellow and Blue managed to help the giant maintain his footing. There was more to come, for then more missiles were launched and unleashed a barrage of smaller missles.

"Hunk FORM CANNON!" Keith ordered. Hunk inserted his Bayard forming Voltrons shoulder cannon and it fired a barrage of laser fire upon the missiles destroying each and every one of them.

"FORM SWORD!"Keith formed his Bayard and inserted it into the open port. The cannon disappeared as Voltron brought his hands together and formed his signature weapon. He slashed at the shell sending out a shock wave that completely destroyed the turret to his into the air he readied a sword strike on the other turrets which kept firing upon Voltron prompting him to form his shield blocking the laser blasts and slashed at the turrets slicing it completely in half and swung his shield deflecting another blast from another turret.

"Man I sure hope, Shiro and Elsa are having it easier than we are!" Lance exclaimed.

Meanwhile:

A wormhole opened and the Altean exploration pod emerged from it and was soon face to face with the Frozen Planet. In the cargo hold Kristof, Sven and Olaf were shown a visual of the planet.

"Whoa…and I thought Elsa's Ice Palace was something but thats really ice!" Kristof breathed in amazement.

"Oooo I can't wait to meet the mermaids!" Olaf said excitedly. "But uh are we going to be flying under water?"

"Thats a good point, Shiro is this thing sea worthy?" Kristof called the cockpit on the coms.

"Don't worry, this thing is built for exploration so it can survive anything." Shiro replied as he sat in the cockpit with Elsa, who was looking at the planet with wonder but she felt dreadfully nervous inside, something that didn't go unnoticed by Shiro.

"You alright?" He asked and it did startle Elsa a little.

"Ah uh y..yes I'm fine." Elsa said a little jumpy.

"Its just you've been quiet this whole trip." Shiro said before the Ice queen sighed looking at him.

"I..I was thinking about Anna, I…I really want her to be here and I just hope she's okay when we do find her." Elsa said a little saddened.

"And if she isn't?" Shiro asked before looking at her understandingly. "I just don't want you to be disappointed if this lead doesn't turn out."

"If it doesn't then, we'll just keep looking Shiro we have to find her I..I just don't know how I could live if..if I found out something happened to her because of me." Elsa wondered.

"Elsa this isn't on you." Shiro told her.

"But it is, Ingrid wants me, she wants me to be part of this insane plan of hers just because she wants a family but Annas really the only family I have left and if she's not here then…" Tears started balling in her eyes so to comfort her Shiro put his hand on hers.

"She will be." He said softly to her. "If there's one thing I know is that family always finds their way back to each other in the end. And if I've learned anything from Anna is to never give up, no matter what happens."

The words of the former Black Paladin seemed to comfort Elsa, she always did feel safe and comforted in his presence. In a way she's now the person she is because of the Paladins, their confidence in her and to help her believe in her abilities. Shiro however seemed to be the one she admired the most but now in this moment her feelings towards him were at their strongest. Shiro could sense the same thing for her as well, and maybe it was time to tell her.

"Elsa…I…" But before he could.

"Hey guys!" Olaf called on the coms making the two jump in surprise and blushing. "Uh not sure this is helpful but we're getting close to the planet."

Their attention turned to the planet itself and that they had entered its atmosphere and were heading for the waters surface. "Alright everyone get ready for splashdown." Shiro said getting on task and Elsa just braced herself in the co pilots seat while Olaf held onto Kristof who held onto Sven.

*SPLASH* The pod crashed down through the ice and into the waters surface and entered the depths of the sea Elsa opened her eyes and saw the ocean landscape that lay before them. "Wow." She breathed in amazement, as Shiro turned on the exterior lights and they began their journey.

"Now according to Lance and Hunks intel the Mer palace should be just beyond these caverns." Shiro said remembering how Hunk and Lance crashed on this planet.

"That looks too narrow for the pod Shiro." Kristof observed, just the Olaf noticed something on the visuals.

"Hey look!" He chirped and thats when they saw it, someone who looked like a mermaid swimming past them. Kristof and Sven couldn't believe what they were seeing.

"W..was tha…was that a…" Kristof stuttered.

"A mermaid!" Olaf cheered.

Elsa was upfront and she saw it too, and she couldn't believe her eyes, it was a real life mermaid she read them in fairy tales but never believed they were real. "I..I don't believe it!" She breathed. Just then the merperson stopped in front of them and it seemed she was looking at them, namely at Shiro and the Paladin symbol on his armour she looked very overjoyed to see them and waved.

"I..I think she wants us to come outside." Elsa wondered.

"Great so lets go!" Olaf chirped heading to the rear door.

"Hold on Olaf, I don't know if it's safe for you to go out there its under water, and for all we know you might turn to slush." Kristof said stopping him.

"Me and Elsa will go out first and speak with her we'll let you know when it's safe to proceed." Shiro suggested as he opened the pods cockpit so he and Elsa could swim out they used their jet packs to fly up and soon the Alien Mermaid swam up to the two.

"Hello, welcome to our home here all are safe and warm." The mermaid greeted she had two pony tail like hair with aqua blue greenish skin and had violet blue on her tailfin with turquoise fins she had a pink reef like scarf round her shoulders and two antennas on her head. "You have the same armour as Lance and Hunk."

"Yes we're friends of Lance and Hunk we are the Paladins of Voltron."Shiro greeted. "My name is Shiro, and this is Queen Elsa of Arendelle."

Plaxum was very surprised and gasped. "A queen, it is a pleasure to greet you." She bowed while shaking her tail fin so she didn't accidentally flip in the water.

"Its alright but we need your help we've come looking for someone who we think is here on your planet." Elsa explained.

"Oh who would that be?" Plaxum asked with curiosity.

"My sister, Princess Anna." She said.

"Your sister?" Plaxum asked very surprised.

"Its a long story could you take us to your village?" Shiro asked, and would it be possible for our comrades in our ship to join, one of them is..well very unique." Shiro explained.

"Of course." Plaxum nodded and quickly they headed over to the rear hatch.

"Okay guys hold your breath" Shiro called the inside of the pod, Kristof put his helmet on and Olaf did the same the hatch opened and the water came in. Sven quickly held hid breath as they swam out.

Elsa quickly swam over to Olaf and then used her powers to make an ice coating around Olaf's lower body the water around the small snowman froze protecting him from the water. Plaxum had witnessed the whole thing and she didn't believe it.

"How..did you do that?" She asked with curiosity.

"Its a…long story." Elsa smiled bashfully. Olaf then swam over with a smile.

"Hi alien mermaid I'm Olaf and I like warm hugs." Olaf greeted with open arms.

"Ah hello little fella. My names Plaxum." Plaxum smiled and rubbed the little snowman helmeted head. Just then she heard a snort and she turned to see Sven was struggling to hold his breath.

"Oh right!" Plaxum said as she pulled out a large sea shell and placed it on Sven's head, then as if by magic a bubble was blown around the reindeers head and it covered his head and antlers. He breathed and surprisingly he could breath underwater.

"Wow what is that?" Kristof asked.

"The bubble coral it provides surface people with air." Plaxum said as she placed it around his head as well and an air bubble was created, Kristoff pulled off his helmet and he could breathe freely and he couldn't help but touch the bubble.

"Wow!" He said amazed as the coral was applied to Olaf's head as well as Elsas and Shiro's allowing them to remove their helmets.

"Oooo this is so weird!" Olaf said happily touching the bubble around his head.

"Now follow me I'm pretty sure the queen will want to hear this." Plaxum said as she swam away with the team close behind, they flew through several caverns and rocks even passing a few fish along the way until finally they came to a clearing. What they saw before them made them gasp in amazement.

"Whoa!" They all breathed as before them was a small village completely under the water and a large palace before it, there was also a small rock grotto before the castle and village as well, which was once the place of the Baku.

"What a site!" Kristof breathed. "I guess Lance and Hunk weren't kidding."

"I wish Anna could see this." Elsa breathed in awe.

"And she will." Shiro smiled then suddenly some large looking walrus like guards appeared in front of them. The group instantly took up a defensive stance but Olaf just swam out to them.

"Hi guards I'm Olaf and I like warm hugs." He greeted and the two mer guards looked completely confused.

"Its alright they're guests, friends of Lance and Hunk." Plaxum explained and the guards stood down and swam aside to let them pass. Soon the group minus the mer people were on alien seahorses swimming towards the palace, the Arendelle gang couldn't help but look in awe of what was around them seeing the other mer people and large looking sea creatures it was like they were living a fairy tale. Purple pink glowing aura came from some of the creases below the rocks.

"This is beautiful." Elsa breathed in awe and Shiro could see she was enjoying herself despite the circumstances that brought them to this planet. They were soon at the Palace and were greeted by a line of the merguards and were soon greeted by who looked like their queen it was Queen Luxia ruler of the Mer.

"Greetings friends I am Queen Luxia welcome to my village." She greeted then saw the armour Shiro was wearing. "And I see we are greeted with friends of those who saved us." She then notices the Ice Queen in their presence as well. "And a fellow royal as well it is a pleasure to welcome you to my village." She bowed taking Elsa completely by surprise.

"How did you know I was a queen?" She asked.

"I recognise a fellow royal when I see one." The mer Queen smiled just then Olaf swam up to greet the queen.

"Hi Queen Luxia I'm Olaf and I like warm hugs." Olaf chirped with open arms, to say the Mer Queen was surprised was an understatement but she was also quite intrigued and she wasn't the only one.

"Oooh what's this a being made of frozen water!" Blumfump then appeared another of the Mer aliens who helped Lance and Hunk free the Mer from the Baku despite all his crazy theories He was joined by Swirn another of the mer rebels who helped free the village. "Amazing just how is this done?"

"Does everyone keep asking that? Its easy Elsa made me." Olaf answered which was received by very curious looks on the Mer Aliens faces.

"You…made him?" Swirn asked a little weary.

"Its true she's got some kind of ice powers." Plaxum explained vouching for this story.

"Its kind of a long story, but I'm afraid we don't have much time to explain. We need your help to find my sister." Elsa explained with haste.

Meanwhile: Planet Unmei:

A slash from Voltrons sword slashed through what was the last of the defense turrets on the inner shell of the planets destroyed core. "Thats the last of them!" Keith said.

"I don't know that seemed way too easy." Lance wondered and he was right for suddenly coming out of the inner shells casing were small spherical objects and suddenly a large gun barrel emerged in the orbs and fired upon Voltron from all sides taking the Paladins off guard.

"GAH!" They cried.

"Oh come on really laser pods!" Hunk exclaimed.

"Man I hate it when I'm right!" Lance yelled.

"No you don't." Keith corrected.

Voltron quickly took off into the air to avoid laser fire from the pods. "Judging by these defences this means we must be close." Pidge realised.

"Pidge's right these defences must have been made by the Druul to protect the Kirai, it would've been their most valuable asset next to the Shattered Eye!" Allura realised.

"Then we can't waste time, Hunk form Cannon everyone else hold onto your lunch!" Keith exclaimed as Voltrons sword disappeared and his shoulder cannon appeared in its place.

Voltron fired his cannon upon the laser pods and with a swift turn of the control sticks Kieth span the defender around and the blast swooshed over all the laser pods around him. Which all exploded within seconds, the shoulder cannon disappeared and Voltron turned to the inner shell of the core.

"We need to find a way inside!" Kieth said from the Black Lion.

"Man where's a thermal exhaust port when you need one!" Lance called.

"Okay Lance its the shell of a destroyed planets core not a Death Star!" Pidge reminded him.

"I'm just saying." Lance shrugged.

"Actually that gives me an idea, if the Druul made defences around here they would've had a way of getting inside." Hunk realised as he began a scan of the shell with the sensors and it wasn't long before they found something. "There its on the rear portside of the shell."

Without haste Voltron flew over to where Hunk had found the opening, it appeared to be a platform and what was left of a bridge most likely how the Druul accessed its planets core. "Well there's the door." Lance said. "But its not exactly robot sized?"

"Then let's make a new one." Pidge suggested, and so Voltron pulled his hands back and unleashed a powerful laser blast from them blasting through the small entrance way and gained access to the inner shell.

Meanwhile outside the Castle of Lions kept a solitary visual, Coran was monitoring the sensors while the Space Mice and Flurry were on his station. So far though there was no sign of trouble.

"All quiet so far, but then again its always too quiet before the storm." Coran said and heard the mice squeak as did Flurry. "I know best we be on look out course it's possible Ingrid still hasn't found out about this place yet."

Sadly however it was not to be, when suddenly the alarms sounded all over the bridge spooking the mice and Flurry Coran pulled up the monitors and got a visual it was a bright green light shining out of a very familiar looking Ice Warrior with large wings.

"Then again I have been wrong." Coran said with a serious look he knew she had come.

So without delay he activated the particle barrier and turned the castle around to meet the incoming threat. The Ice Warrior drew closer and the Castle of Lions fired all its weapons upon the incoming threat, but the lasers just deflected off the warrior because of an unforeseen force. Ingrid was inside the Ice Warriors head with the stone in hand she smirked in anticipation.

"So Voltron is already here, how predictable." Ingrid smirked and the warrior charged forwards through the barrage of blasts being inflicted upon it.

Coran just couldn't believe it he was hitting that Ice Warrior with everything the Castle had but something was deflecting the blasts. "Gah I'm not even laying a scratch on this thing!" Then he realised. "The Eye must be doing this it wants to reunite with the Kirai according to Ingrid's inner dark desires!"

So Coran diverted all power to the stern and targeted the Ice Warrior and laid a targeting beacon upon the approaching target. "FIRE!" he slammed the trigger on his console and the Castles main cannon fired an all-powerful beam and it struck the Ice Warrior with devastating force. The beam was being deflected back by the energy coming from the Eye. What's worse the beam was reversed right back at the Altean Flagship with a large explosion knocking the Castle of Lions off its stable course shaking the bridge and deactivating the particle barrier clearing the way for Ingrid's passage to the planet.

Coran saw her go there in horror. "No!" He breathed and immediately got on the communication line. "Paladins! Princess come in!"

Inside the inner shell Voltron had finally blasted his way through, and it wasn't long before they found what they came for. Laying in the centre was a large looking chamber with large spires coming from the top and bottom of the chamber. Surrounding it were large looking lenses not Teledove lenses though but what appeared to be focusing lenses. Within the centre was a small platform and floating above it was the Kirai itself surrounded by a green energy shield.

"That must be it." Hunk breathed.

"So that thing is meant to enhance the Eyes power?" Lance questioned looking at the size of it. "Doesn't look like much."

"Appearances can be deceiving Lance." Allura reminded.

Pidge then took note of the chamber they were in. "Guys I think we're in some kind of power core, but not the core for the planet but for the Kirai." she said.

"Meaning?" Keith asked.

"Well I think this whole chamber was designed around the principle of using this and the Eye to blast it across the galaxy like a massive array, look." She then pointed to the large orb like lenses. "Those act as focusing lenses like the light chamber of a weapon."

"Oh I get it so it would focus all the Eyes power into this chamber and then unleash it as a massive shockwave that could spread across the universe." Hunk realised.

"All the more reason why we must destroy it." Allura said determined not to let this thing be unleashed.

"Paladins! Voltron come in!" Corans voice suddenly came through on the coms.

"Coran what's wrong are you okay?" Allura asked sensing the urgency in Corans voice.

"You've got incoming I tried my best but it did nothing you have five ticks at best!" Coran relayed, and suddenly they got the message when they saw the inside of the chamber get very cold all of a sudden this meant only one thing.

"Ingrid!" Allura breathed and Voltron turned to see the Ice Warrior strike him in the chest and send him crashing into the wall, the Defender was quick to recover as he blasted off and flew to block her passage.

"Thats far enough Ingrid!" Keith warned her. From her Ice Warrior Ingrid could sense a certain someone wasn't with them.

"Aww what's this my little snowflake isn't with you?" Ingrid said in some false caring manner. "Wait don't tell me she's on another fools errand to find her so called sister, all will sadly be in vain." That struck a nerve in Pidge, but they stood firm. "Still it doesn't matter you being here won't stop me from doing what I've come here to do."

"Ingrid listen to me!" Allura called to her. "We're giving you one final chance end this madness now we won't let you do this!"

All was quiet but Ingrid just smirked as her eyes shone white. "And I give you…NO CHANCE AT ALL!" The Ice Warrior then unleashed a powerful Ice blast towards Voltron who dived out of the way just in time.

"The hard way it is then!" Keith glared at the Ice Warrior. "FORM SWORD!" He inserted his Bayard, forming his sword soon followed by his wings forming the shield. The two opponents glared each other down as the Ice Warrior formed its own spiked ice blade and they charged in this almighty clash.

The two clashed their blades against each other slashing and clashing. The Ice Warrior slashed at Voltrons chest sending him hurdling backwards, then turned its hands into axes and fired them at Voltron who quickly grabbed it in his hands.

"Lance, Pidge PULL!" Keith exclaimed and with one pull Voltron yanked the Ice Warrior towards him and delivered a swift uppercut with his shield cracking its chin then slashed with his sword delivering a devastating gash to its chest.

Ingrid growled in anger as she gets her warrior back up on its feet and focused all the power of the Eye into her giant and it unleashed a powerful ice blast at Voltron who tried to block it with its shield but was pinned to the ground and ice was growing on the shield.

"Grr the shields icing up if we hold it we'll freeze!" Pidge exclaimed.

"Lance time to put your sharp shooting to the test!" Keith exclaimed to him. "You have the sword see what you can do." Lance looked around his surroundings and began to have an idea of what Kieth was saying.

Lance took a deep breath and then breathed, swiftly moving his flight sticks the Red Lions arm pulled back and tossed the sword into the air it span round like a flying disk. The blade missed the Ice Warrior and Ingrid simply scoffed as the sword flew out of sight.

"Ha rather foolish don't you think?" Ingrid's voice came from the ice warrior but Lance maintained his confident smirk while the rest of the team looked worried minus Keith who was confident his plan would work.

For then the sword bounced off one of the spires in the room and flew right back to the Ice Warrior slicing off its right arm in the process causing Ingrid's arm to ache in pain. This was the opening Voltron needed he caught his sword and then with one move smashed his iced up shield into the Ice Warriors head then slashed its left leg clean off and kicked it with all his might into the far wall.

"Nice shot Lance." Pidge cheered.

"Guess you are a sharp shooter in more ways than one." Keith admitted with a smirk.

"Aw I bet it kills you to say that Keith." Lance teased.

"I wouldn't celebrate just yet look!" Allura pointed out as the teams gaze turned to their downed adversary, for when the smoke cleared the Ice Warrior stood up again but this time it had a glowing green aura surrounding it and its limbs were reformed. In the head Ingrid breathed heavily full of rage and her eyes were seeping green energy.

"Uh oh." Hunk grimaced. The Ice Warrior/Ingrid yelled and unleashed a powerful ice tentacle wrapping itself around Voltron and slammed him down into the lower areas of the chamber and then into the wall again and again before it tossed him away, causing the Paladins to groan in anger and pain.

"GAH!" They cried.

Ingrid looked at them with her hair mostly in a mess. "There are no words to express, how much I truly, passionately hate you! My new world where magic kind will no longer be feared will come to fruition and that new world will be born with a sacrifice! And what better than the Defender of the Universe!" Ingrid yelled in rage.

"Okay how the heck is she this strong?!" Lance yelled in disbelief. "We usually have these things owned?!"

"The Eye, it's fuelling her rage towards those who shunned her and to my father for sealing her away." Allura realised. "Its enhancing her powers especially now its close to the Kirai."

"So she's invincible now?!" Hunk said very fearful.

"No she's not invincible! There has to be a way to stop her we can't let her merge the Eye with that thing!" Pidge exclaimed not believing a word of this.

"Pidge is right we need to stop her now, we're not going down without a fight!" Keith exclaimed as he thrusted the control sticks forwards and the team followed suit getting Voltron back into the fight as they charged at the Ice Warrior and the latter did the same and clashed with each other.

The Frozen Planet:

Back at the Alien Merpeople's palace Elsa, Kristof, Shiro and Olaf had finished explaining the story of Elsa's powers, Arendelle, the rip and of course the current crisis involving Ingrid and the Shattered Eye. They awaited their reaction.

"This story sounds…unbelievable but I do believe you." Queen Luxia mused. "Of course after I was being a puppet of the Baku anything is possible."

"Ice powers and a stone imbuing hatred, gotta admit thats something." Swirn realised.

"Wait I think I thought of the concept of Ice powers some time ago." Blumthump wondered looking at all his child like drawings for reference.

"So you think your sister was sent here after this flash of light?" Plaxum said.

"Yes the trail the Green Lion showed us lead us to here so my sister must be here somewhere." Elsa said determined.

"Wait I wonder if this explains it." Queen Luxia then realised which immediately caught Shiro's attention.

"Explains what?" He asked as Sven and Kristof looked with even more interest.

"Well some Spicolian movements ago something crashed here." The Queen explained as the scene flashed back to what happened.

Flashback:

The Mer village was looking up to the sea sky in complete shock as they saw a bright light blast down through the oceans and crashed right into the place where the Baku once kept residence. "A flash of light fell from the surface sky, and crashed down into our village right into the place where the Baku once stayed."

The light from the impact faded with silence and they all gathered around the former Baku garden in fear wondering if another had arrived. "But our people have stayed away from it we first feared that a spawn of the Baku…"

Present day:

Everyone was gathered around the impact site of the mysterious light. "But after what you've just told us do you think this might have something to do with who your looking for?"

Elsa and Shiro looked at the large gash in the ground, and they noticed there was a trace of ice around it. Shiro swam down for a closer look and soon he had an assessment.

"Shiro..is this.." Kristof was asking before Shiro spoke.

"Yes, this looks consistent with what Hunk and Pidge described when they found you, and based on the Queens story the timeframe of this lights arrival coincides with when Kieth and the others found Elsa in that Ice Asteroid.

"So…does this mean?" Olaf asked with some hope in his heart as Elsa looked at the gash and it was large enough for only one purpose.

"Only one way to find out." She decided and out of nowhere she swam down into the crack much to Shiro's surprise.

"Elsa!" He called completely shocked at what she just did. Kristof wasn't at all surprised by this.

"You know sometimes I worry about the influence you guys have on her and Anna." Kristof shrugged as the two then swam down after her and it wasn't long before Olaf followed as well. Sadly when Sven tried to follow his behind got stuck in the crack so he couldn't go any further.

Kristof saw this and swam up to his face. "Sorry pal, your gonna have to stay up here, we'll be back soon okay?" He said with a smile to which Sven smiled back and pulled himself out of the crack.

Further down the team headed deeper into the area below the former Baku garden Shiro and Elsa used their suit lights to illuminate their way. Olaf was mesmerised by the glowing algae down in the caves. His stick hands touched it and it was stuck to his hand.

"Oooh glowy." Olaf chirped.

Soon the craves opened out to more space for them to move around freely. So they started to look around for any sign of what they were hoping they'd find, sadly though all they found was glowing algae all along the ground. Elsa searched the area frantically but still couldn't see anything.

"Anna! Anna!" Elsa called out but all she could hear was nothing but sea currents. Shiro and Kristof looked around some of the cave openings for any trace of an ice cocoon.

"Anything?" Shiro called to the Ice Master.

"Nothing." Kristof replied saddened but refused to give up so he kept looked around and was having a little fun of the algae when he made glowing hand prints on the wall just then however he saw something down one of the cave mouths it was a glowing light. Curious he wandered towards it.

"Did you guys find anything?" Elsa asked Shiro and Kristof.

"Nothing we've looked in all these caves there's nothing here." Kristof said getting a little frustrated. "Gah I knew this was too good to be true!" He said punching his hand.

"No, no no I don't believe it Annas here she has to be she..she…" Elsa was getting frantic but Shiro cupped her face with his hands.

"Elsa, calm down listen we're not going to stop searching until we find Anna, I promise." Shiro told her and this did calm her down but it was starting to look like this was another dead end.

"Guys!" But then they heard Olaf's voice, they looked in the direction it came from and judging by the glowing algae hand prints it wouldn't be too tough to find the small snowman. They swam down the cave until they found him staring at something.

"Olaf what…"Shiro called but when they arrived they gasped at what they saw. An ice cocoon just like the one Pidge and Hunk found on the planetoid.

Elsa quickly swam over to the Ice Cocoon breathing frantically as she placed her hand on the ice and suddenly felt something, something that made her gasp and a lone tear fell down her face.

"Anna.." She breathed. "We…we've found her! I'm sure of it!" She said crying with happiness.

Kristof swam up to the cocoon and brushed off the algae on the ice and he saw a silhouette a very familiar one at that. The Ice Master couldn't help but bawl up at the sight of this too. "It is her!"

Shiro was shocked and full of joy all at the same time. "Then lets get her out!" Olaf cheered.

The Ice Queen nodded as she placed her hands on the ice and concentrated her powers and soon enough a light emerged from below her palms and it spread to the whole cocoon. Shiro, Kristof and Olaf watched in awe and with the hope they carried in their hearts through this whole adventure. The light complete encompassed the cocoon and Elsa focused with all her heart and soul, and remembered one thing. "Love will thaw."

Slowly but surely the cocoon began to break like shattered ice the cracks forming all over it, until finally it shattered freeing Anna from her cold captivity as she fell right into her elder sisters arms.

"Anna!" She gasped, acting quickly Shiro placed his helmet onto the princesses head and it drained all the water out of it supplying her with air. The group looked at her concerned as it didn't look like she was breathing or even responding as Elsa shook her.

"Anna, Anna! Anna wake up!" She said nearly panicked she still wouldn't respond. Kristof swam close to her unconscious body.

"Anna." Kristof called to her but there was still no response. This situation grew more and more serious Olaf looked with grieving eyes and Shiro was especially worried she might be starved of oxygen, or might already have drowned.

"Anna no….please, don't go now, I've finally found you you can't leave me now! Please!" Elsa sobbed as she held her close. "I…I love you."

All seemed lost but then. They heard a cough and they looked with startled and hopeful faces as Anna coughed regaining her breath she stirred from unconsciousness and looked to see the faces of her sister, boyfriend and her friends around her looking with tear filled eyes.

"E…Elsa." She breathed with a smile.

"A…Anna!" Elsa breathed with a happy smile. "Anna!" The two sisters laughed with joy and wasted no time pulling each other into a hug tears streaming down their faces and Kristof pulled the two into a hug that Olaf was more than happy to join.

"I…I really thought I'd lost you!" Elsa sobbed happily. "I never gave up looking for you."

"I, thought I'd lost you too!" Anna sobbed in her helmet as well.

"I'm just glad your alright, what Ingrid said I…" Kristof sobbed with joyous laughter.

"I'm glad to see you all too." Anna said as Olaf hugged her the tightest of all.

"We've missed you Anna." Olaf chirped with joy.

"Me too Olaf." Anna smiled joyfully and then looked up to see Shiro smiling with joy and full of tears. "Shiro? Wait…am I…am I in your universe?"

Shiro swam over and pulled her into a hug. "Yes and I couldn't be more happier that you are." He said nearly sobbing and Anna returned the hug after a minute they pulled apart and she got a good look at him.

"By the way like what you've done with your hair." She complimented Shiro's new hairstyle and he responded by a small chuckle. "Whoa wait are we under water?!"

"Yep thats the Anna I know." Shiro smiled. "Come on let's get you back to the Castle I know the others will be just as happy to see you as us."

"Cool is the Black Lion here?" Anna said excited and everyone just chuckled mom themselves leaving the princess all but confused. "Uh what?"

"Boy have we got a lot to catch you up on." Kristof chuckled.

Planet Unmei:The Inner shell:

The Ice Warrior was smashing Voltrons head into the wall of the chamber over and over again pinning it down with its free arm. Pidge yelled as she moved her lion and formed its jaw blade sticking it in the right eye causing Ingrid to scream in pain as she felt the giants pain too. The mighty robot was able to swat the Ice Warrior off his back then slam his fist into its face cracking it and sending it flying.

"Form Cannon and pour it on!" Keith ordered as Voltron formed his cannon and fired a barrage of blasts at the Ice Warrior striking it in all places but the warrior formed a shield and deflected the blasts. The warrior charged at Voltron who quickly blasted off into the air to avoid a strike from above.

The mighty defender blasted down to the Ice warrior and landed a massive punch onto its chest sending it flying. However it still got back up but they failed to notice the Kirai apparatus pulsing with energy, it was growing and growing. This didn't go unnoticed by Voltron.

"Pidge what's happening?" Keith asked.

"I..I don't know but I'm detecting massive energy building from that thing!" Pidge relayed, it didn't take long for Allura to figure out what was going on.

"I..its responding to the Eye, it knows its close!" The Altean princess realised in horror.

"So wait this thing is alive!" Lance exclaimed.

"More like some kind of symbiotic connection." Hunk exclaimed thinking his own theories.

"Whatever it is we can't let Ingrid get the Eye into that thing!" Keith exclaimed trying to focus on the mission.

"LOOK OUT!" Pidge yelled suddenly the Ice Warrior blasted forwards and slashed its ice axes at the giant defender sending him crashing down to the ground. Kieth quickly fired up the jets in Voltrons wings to stabilise him.

"Guys this isn't working we need to take that thing down now!" Kieth yelled.

"We've hit it with all the weapons we have but its doing nothing to it!" Hunk yelled.

"So lets try the wreaking maces!" Lance exclaimed.

"Do it!" Keith yelled. So Hunk, Pidge and Lance inserted their Bayards into their ports but shockingly.

"Uh guys shouldn't something be happening?" Hunk panicked. The Ice warrior formed a large hammer on its arm and charged at Voltron, he quickly fired his jets and blasted out of the way of the incoming ice hammer strike.

"I don't get it why didn't our Bayards work?!" Lance exclaimed.

"Its because Elsa's not here!" Pidge realised.

"Pidge is right she needs to be here for us to access that power!" Allura agreed.

"So now what do we do?" Hunk exclaimed "I don't know if Voltron can take much more of this beating!"

Kieth tried to think what could be done they knew they couldn't outmuscle the Snow Queen's Ice warrior now enhanced by the Shattered Eye feeding off her rage. Just then Allura saw the Kirai continuously pulsing with uncontrollable power, and then she remembered something her fathers message said.

"Only Voltron can do this!" The princess realised. "I have an idea! We need to destroy the Kirai!"

"What?" Keith questioned.

"Uh Allura how does that help?" Hunk wondered.

"I remembered my fathers words from the message and now I understand." Allura explained. "He must've known that Voltron couldn't destroy the Eye itself but the element that could enhance it could. If we destroy the Kirai it will render the Eye useless to the Snow Queen!"

"Okay but how I doubt the Druul made this thing so it could be blasted?" Hunk theorised. The new Black Paladin was wondering that very thing but then he saw that energy pulsing.

"Pidge how much energy is that thing putting out?" Keith wondered.

Pidge studied the energy readings the Kirai was giving off, and saw the energy readings were through the roof. "Its energy is off the scale its like the equivalent of a supernova."

"Right, so…in the wrong hands and a powerful enough strike." Keith trailed off with his suggestion and it didn't take long for the others to catch on.

"It would make a pretty big bang." Lance realised.

"How big a bang?" Allura asked.

"Super Nova big." Pidge concluded.

"But could we even get clear in time if we didn't even with Voltron we might not survive." Hunk realised.

"But neither would Ingrid or the Eye." Keith surmised. "We can end this, right here right now! We might just get clear if we use Voltrons boosters."

"Keith is right its a big might but both Ingrid and the Eye are far to dangerous to be allowed to stay free, we must end it now." Allura agreed with the new leader.

"Okay so we let her get close then take it down with all we got!" Keith said as all the Paladins looked with the same look of glaring determination, this was their one shot and they couldn't miss.

The Ice Warrior blasted upwards with its wings as it looked towards the Kirai and Ingrid wondered why until she looked at the Eye itself and saw it pulsing. "Ah so this is what I was missing the key to my new world!" Ingrid smirked and she moved her Ice Warrior towards the pulsing relic and the Eye grew brighter. Voltron hovered in place seeing the Warrior drawing closer.

"Wait for it…" Keith said as Voltron held position. Ingrid's sadistic joyous smile grew wider and wider it looked like her dream was about to become a reality as the Kirai grew more and more powerful as did the Eye itself and just when they were close enough.

Volition blasted forwards all jets firing and was heading right for the Ice Warrior and when they were within range. "FORM BLAZING SWORD!" Keith yelled inserting his Bayard and formed the sword as it ignited in all its fury and…

*PIERCE* he struck the Ice Warrior right through the chest.

Ingrid looked surprised but also let out a very amused laugh. "HEHAHAHAHA!" She chuckled. "A valiant attempt Paladins, but you really should've gone for the head."

However the Paladins could only smirk. "Yeah." Keith smirked.

"But." Lance smirked as well.

"If it was you we were aiming at." Allura smiled determined. Ingrid looked alerted she wondered what the princess meant by that. In that moment she heard a blast of energy and turned to the Kiria and to her horror the Blazing Sword had pierced right through it snapping it in half.

"NO!" Ingrid yelled.

"THIS IS FOR ANNA!" Pidge yelled as the Paladins pulled their flight sticks back and thrusted forwards making Voltron drive his Blazing Sword deeper into the Ice Giant completely snapping the Kriai completely shattering it and its energy surged out of control blasting all over the chamber creating a chain Paladins yelled with all their might as Voltron pulled his sword from the Ice Warrior and the power of the artefact surged uncontrollably striking the Ice Warrior and Ingrid inside it.

"GYAAHHAHAHAHHHHHHHHHHH!" She screamed in pain.

"This whole place is going critical!" Pidge yelled.

"We need to get out of here now!" Allura yelled in urgency. With no time to lose Voltron flew out of the inner shell as fast as he could firing all his jets to gain more speed. Flying right out of the cores shell.

"Hunk we need a direct route out of here now!" Keith yelled.

"Coming right up!" Hunk exclaimed as he inserted his Bayard and formed the Shoulder Cannon and it fired at the walls of the cores metal shell creating a large hole for Voltron to pass through as he continued firing the overloading energy grew stronger and more unstable by the minute as the light glowed behind Voltron.

"We've got twenty seconds to get clear before this thing explodes!" Pidge exclaimed in panic.

"Divert all power to the thrusters maximum burn!" Kieth yelled and the Paladins surged all their power into the Voltron and his jets grew stronger, and faster.

In the core the energy from the shattered Kirai came to a building point before it detonated into an explosion that was the equivalent of ten thousand atomic bombs unleashing a blast wave that just as Voltron was clear of the planet exploded catapulting Voltron away uncontrollably. The Paladins all cringed as they tried to regain control of this spin, and soon they got control back as they faced the now completely destroyed core of the Planet Unmei and when that was gone the planet fragments all but turned to dust like the years had finally caught up with them.

Voltron looked back at the destroyed planet and the Paladins all looked with both disbelief and possible joy. "So…did we do it now?" Hunk asked.

"Y…yeah I..I think we did." Pidge breathed completely stunned and happy at the same time. They couldn't believe it even though they've seen it with their own eyes, the five of them thought all hope was lost when they couldn't destroy the Eye, but they just destroyed three threats with one shot.

"We…we did it!" Lance cheered.

"Yes…The Kirai has been destroyed Ingrid and the Shattered Eye along with her." Allura breathed. She couldn't believe it they had truly done the impossible and finally the threat of the Druul Empires greatest weapon was no more.

The Castle of Lions now fully rebooted and operational found joined Voltron. "Paladins your all okay! What did I miss?" Coran said more than relieved.

"Its over Coran." Allura said with relief. "The Snow Queen is no longer a threat.

Keith gave his own sigh of relief that the worst was over, then at that moment Shiro called in. "Keith, Team come in!" He called.

"Shiro, we're okay and we did it Ingrid is gone and so is the Eye and Kirai." Keith replied.

"So we're kinda dying to know, how'd you guys make out?" Hunk then asked anxiously waiting to hear the answer.

Shiro gave a smile on the coms screen. "We're coming home…..all of us." The minute he said that Keith, Lance, Hunk, Pidge and Allura gasped they couldn't believe it the five of them including Kieth were full of joy and relief and tears built up in Pidges eyes tears of joy.

Hours later everyone was back on the Castle of Lions, the Paladins and Coran were assembled as the Altean exploration pod explore had arrived back. Everyone looked nervous and excited at the same time. Shiro and Elsa emerged from the cockpit of the pod soon followed by Kristof, Sven and Olaf who came out of the back. Pidge gasped with excitement and joy when walking out of the ship. Was Anna in her green Arendelle dress.

Anna had tears of joy as she rushed to them and Pidge was the first to rush to her. "ANNA!" She cried and leaped up embracing her sister in a hug which she happily returned as they crouched to the ground.

"I..its really you! Ingrid said you were gone but I never gave up looking for you!"Pidge cried with joy as tears ran down her cheeks.

"I've missed you so much Pidge!" Anna cried with joy in her heart and it wasn't long before Lance, Hunk and Allura ran to the Arendellian Princess and pulled her into a fierce and joyous hug wrapping their arms around her. Keith watched with surprisingly a joyful smile on his face seeing Anna alive and quite well.

"I've missed you all so much!" Anna cried.

"We never gave up on you!" Hunk hugged while crying.

"Glad to have you back Anna!" Lance agreed.

"Its so good to see you, I scarcely allowed myself a hope!" Allura said with such joy in her eyes.

"Thanks guys." Anna said as they stood up from their hug and it was then she noticed Alluras attire.

"Wow Allura y..your a Paladin now!" Anna said amazed.

"I know a lot has happened these past few weeks." Allura bashfully said.

"Yeah Shiro and Olaf explained on the way here." Anna explained. "Well mostly Olaf anyway." Lance and Hunk still looked in disbelief about that no way Olaf could've explained all that has happened in the course of nearly a whole month. Could he?

"Hey don't I get a hug?" Coran asked jokingly.

"Ah come here!" Anna smiled as she readied a hug.

"No I was talking to him." Coran joked as he embraced Anna in a warm hug and after a minute they broke then noticed the one Paladin who had yet to greet her and she smiled as she went up to him. "Hey Keith." She smiled.

"Anna..i…its good to have you back, and I…" Before he could finish that sentence Anna just full on hugged him out of nowhere and smiled.

"I've missed you too." She said happily, and Keith could only smile as he returned the hug, much to the disbelief of Lance who's eyes were bulging out by this while Hunks jaw dropped. They broke the hug and Anna looked at him with a raised eyebrow.

"So…you and Black huh?" Anna smirked.

"Yeah it's been a crazy month." Keith smiled.

"Aww look at this the gangs all back together again!" Olaf said happily as he leaped up and hugged Kieth while all Anna could do was giggle.

Elsa looked the happiest of all, she finally found her sister and her extended family was all but reunited. Then she remembered. "What about Ingrid?"

"Oh she's history!" Lance said. "Gone out with a bang!"

"Wha! Y..your serious!" Kristof exclaimed happily.

"Yeah we destroyed that Kirai and the Shattered Eye along with her." Pidge said happily.

"Game over the universe is saved!" Hunk cheered with joy as Sven ran up and licked his face. Elsa could hardly believe it the Snow Queen that had been hunting her was finally gone, now all that was left to do was thaw Arendelle and…

"GRAHHH!" Elsa cried out in pain holding her head much to the alarm of everyone else.

"Elsa!" Anna cried in horror running over to her sister as Shiro supported the Ice Queen.

"Elsa what's wrong?" Shiro asked her urgently, she looked at him with horrified eyes.

"S…something is wrong!" She cried then suddenly a horrifying revelation came over Allura's face.

"I…It couldn't be!" Alarms started blaring all over the Castle of Lions surprising everyone.

"EVERYONE TO THE BRIDGE NOW!" Shiro exclaimed and everyone rushed to the bridge as fast as they could.

Upon arrival they immediately rushed to Corans control station. "Coran what's happening?" Allura asked her aid as he looked over the controls.

"A massive surge of energy has been detected on the long range scanners!" Coran relayed as the sensors pulled up a large green energy wave that was approaching them. His pupils shrunk in pure horror when he looked at the signature. "Th…this is impossible the energy signature its…its that of the Eye."

The Paladins, Elsa, Anna, Kirstof, Sven, Shiro and Olaf all looked in absolute horror and disbelief this meant only one thing their enemy wasn't as vanquished as they first thought. Their answer came in a large light of green energy that gathered as a cosmic cloud in front of them and appearing was Ingrid herself. Except she had a whole new appearance, her dress was now completely white with a slimmer looking collar piece with a cape flowing from it. On the neck piece was the Shattered Eye itself.

"Greetings Paladins of Voltron!" She boasted with a sinister smirk making everyone more horrified than before.

"I…Ingrid!" Elsa breathed in horror.

"She survived!" Kieth growled.

"Th..thats impossible no one could've survived a blast like that!" Pidge said in disbelief as Anna stood close to her.

"Agh why do they always come back for more!" Lance whined.

Ingrids projection then cackled. "All you fools did with your pathetic attacks was give me the power I needed!"

"But we destroyed the Kirai! This shouldn't be possible!" Allura exclaimed in disbelief.

"Oh my dear naive Allura, I am the Kirai your attack didn't destroy me, if anything it only gave me what I needed!" Ingrid smirked.

Flashback:Some hours after Voltrons departure:

The metal shell of the core of Planet Unmei was completely shattered and the inside of the chamber was completely in ruins. The rubble on the platform suddenly began to move and emerging from it was a hand and soon Ingrid emerged from the rubble battered but very much alive.

"You see, you thought your attack killed me. But in actual fact…." Ingrid groaned feeling her head and suddenly felt something strange she looked at her hands and saw her powers were there but she saw she was surrounded by a strange glowing aura in green. She felt a glaring light from her chest and saw the Shattered Eye was there but was now surrounded by strange symbols, symbols that were seen on. The Kirai.

"It merged the stone and Kirai to me it sensed my rage and my desires and now I understood." The Snow Queen soon realised it and she concentrated her powers.

The power of the Eye surged through her and she unleashed a shockwave of ice that encompassed the entire room and formed around the core and grew further and further out like it was creating something. Then soon the structure was revealed as a large Ice Palace, that looked a lot more dark than Elsa's as it had some traces of glowing green energy surging through it.

"…It was made for this purpose, it was made for a host not a machine!" Ingrid cackled as her appearance suddenly began to change her dress turned completely white and the neck collar piece had the Eye surrounded by the Kirai symbols. "And now I have the means to make my dream reality!"

Focussing all her power on the Eye, it surrounded her with black and green smoke like it was a dark form of Quintessence mixed with pure hatred. With a simple opening of her eyes she unleashed a massive blast wave of this hatred imbuing power.

Present day:

This revelation made the Paladins and Arendelle gang completely speechless, here they thought they succeeded but now it seems their worst fears have come to life instead.

"I must thank you Paladins for if you hadn't tried to kill me…I would not have achieved this." Ingrid sneered at the Paladins who glared at her, and it wasn't long before she noticed a certain Arendellian princess now among them. "Oh…you found the odd girl out..well too little too late."

"Ingrid you can't do this you're going to kill millions of innocents people and for what spite!" Anna tried having heard the whole story from Shiro and Elsa.

"Oh my dear Anna this is retribution. Your mother shunned me, denied me who I really was, and those retched Paladins your friends predecessors sealed me away out of fear!" Ingrid exclaimed spitefully while Anna just couldn't believe what she was hearing.

"No you just chose hate over love!" Anna exclaimed.

"Your words mean nothing, and now I will right this wrong and people like me won't be hunted or hated ever again." Ingrid said with such bliss. "But fear not Paladins, as I'm feeling generous I grant you this offer, Elsa comes with me and I shall let you live."

Everyone looked to Elsa but she stood firm as she walked forwards addressing her mad aunt. "No. My answer will always be no. My fears don't hold me anymore I choose love I choose my real family face it Ingrid you and I were never meant to be together and we never will!" Elsa said glaring.

"Because thats the difference between you and us we don't abandon our friends!" Shiro defied.

Ingrid closed her eyes full of rage her niece still defied her, despite her reasoning and considerable patience she still refused to see things her way. Her patience had now run out. "So be it. Then I suggest you use what time you have left to say your goodbyes, because soon you will all tear each other to pieces! Maybe then Elsa you will see what hatred towards our kind looks like!" Her face then disappeared in the green and black smoke.

"Wh…what do we do now?" Olaf looked in absolute fear.

"We..we need to get far from here we can out run this thing!" Lance suggested.

"No this thing covers the whole universe we can't out run it!" Kieth realised shooting down his right hands suggestion.

"And there's no time for us to ditch the castle and get away from each other before that wave hits!" Hunk realised.

"We have 20 douboshes left before that wave hits us!" Coran yelled in some panic.

"The…there has to be something we can do?" Elsa exclaimed to everyone then looked to the Altean Princess. "Allura?"

For once in her life Allura looked unsure. "I…I don't know…I..I honestly don't know."

The group looked at each other the princess the most determined of them all, the one who brought them all together and never ran from a fight wasn't sure what to do. All of them were at a loss. "So…thats it, Ingrid wins?" Pidge questioned in sadness even the Mice, Sven and Flurry looked saddened.

During this whole debate Shiro remained quiet, the Eyes power was closing in on them and there was no time to evacuate the castle and get away from each other. But at the same time he remembered what the other Paladins went through in the Cosmic Storm. He looked to Coran and Kristof and they all had that same serious look and so silently nodded in agreement to what must be done.

"No!" Shiro said. "We're not giving up yet, we will fight and keep fighting until we can't fight anymore. But…there's only one thing we can do." Kieth looked weary of Shiro's proposal and he wasn't sure why but he had a bad feeling about this, Elsa and Anna didn't like the look of this either if the Eye could corrupt even the most noble of hearts what could stop it?

Soon everyone was gathered in the infirmary where some of the Altean chambers were activated. "YOU WHAT!" Kieth yelled.

"You…you want us to seal ourselves up in the pods?" Hunk said both shocked and confused.

"Not all of you, just Coran, Anna,Kristof and myself." Shiro explained. "If that wave hits us its likely we'll all be affected and could lash out at those around the only way to protect ourselves."

"Shiro…y..your asking us to lock you up like prisoners!" Keith exclaimed not believing what his brother was suggesting.

"But what makes you think we won't lash out at each other?" Pidge wondered. "I mean we barely shook off the Eye in the storm and Anna's just come out of a cocoon from the water."

"The Eye maybe powerful but so are all of you, remember what Coran said only the pure of hearts can reject the Eyes power." Shiro said. "In that ship you all managed to overcome its influence and I know you will now, you've all come so far since defeating Zarkon your a united team."

"And nothing is the most pure in the universe than Voltron. If you could overcome everything the Galra threw at you we can survive this!" Coran remind them. "We've already warned the rest of the Coalition and Blade of Marmora so they'll take measures to keep themselves self."

The Paladins and Elsa were all touched by their words, even if this was the hardest thing they had to do. However one among them wasn't happy about this plan. "No I'm not going in there!" Anna defied.

"Anna." Elsa tried but her sister wasn't having it.

"No I've just found you Elsa I'm not leaving you now!" Anna argued.

"But you haven't been exposed to the Eye that we were!" Pidge tried to explain. "It might turn you against us I don't want to hurt my sister!"

"I know but I'm still staying!" Anna stood firm with her decision.

"Well, even if we tied her up she wouldn't stay put." Kristof remind them. "But I'm still going in I'm not hurting my friends if I get affected."

"You sure man?" Lance wondered and Hunk was just as concerned.

"I'm sure." Kristof agreed.

The alarms suddenly sounded this meant the wave was getting ever closer to them. "We haven't got much time!" Shiro realised. "Coran Kristof take a pod and seal yourselves inside. Coran adjusted the pods and readied them for the confinement.

"Coran…" Allura said getting his attention. "I..I don't know what's going to happen or how long this may last for you might starve."

The personal aid turned to the one he considered a daughter. "No princess that won't happen. You and the Paladins will stop this and then you'll come back and let us out." Coran said to her with confidence and a little misty eyed.

"You think so?" Allura said nearly in tears.

"I belive in you Allura, and no matter what happens, I know your father would be proud." Coran honestly said and the princess could see in his eyes that he meant two embraced in a long hug probably the last they'll have in a while.

Hunk gave Kristof a bro hug and shook his hand and Lance did the same. "Good luck man be safe." Lance smiled.

"You too, and hey when this is over we're gonna be back in Arendelle all of us." Kritsof smiled and Anna came up to him and they shared a deep kiss and then looked at each other with the same misty eyes.

"We just found each other, and now…now we're getting separated again, it's like Ingrids already taking everything again." Anna said nearly sobbing.

"No she hasn't taken everything yet, she separated us but we found each other again." Kristof said to her lovingly. "Even with this thing, she'll never come between us ever. No matter what happens no matter what you hear after this…I love you Anna."

Anna couldn't help but break down in tears by that statement. "I…I love you too." She said giving one last hug to her boyfriend before she slipped her hands out of his. Sven ran to his owner and snuggled his face against his body looking in sadness as Kristof gave him one last hug.

Pidge looked hurt by seeing this scene, this Snow Queen was tearing everything apart, and she vowed that she would answer for this. "Pidge." Kristof called getting her attention. "Look after our girl."

"I will." Pidge said all misty eyed before she ran to him and gave him a hug, and he was happy to return the gesture.

"And I'll watch out for her." Anna agreed holding her hand.

Kieth was bidding his farewell to Shiro. "Shiro…I…I…" He placed a hand on his shoulder with an understanding smile.

"Its okay Kieth, we're gonna make it through this your gonna get them through this." Shiro said to him encouragingly.

"But..I…I don't know if I can do this without you." Kieth said with doubt in his voice.

"Yes you can, I believe in you I always have and always will why do you think I trusted you to lead the team in my absence, because the Black Lion saw something in you that you don't see in yourself." Shiro told him. "I saw it when you flew it to save me from those rock lizards. You have to believe it too you are a leader. Use that."

Kieth took in all these encouraging words and despite the current situation he heeded them very well indeed. "I will." He and Shiro shared one last bro hug before they pulled apart and Elsa came up to him.

"I..I honestly don't know what to say." Elsa said sadly to him.

"You don't have to say anything." Shiro said with some mist in his eyes.

"But I do have to say one thing…If we make it through this." She said to him.

"When we make it through this." Shiro corrected her.

"Right right when…there's…there's something I think we need to talk about." Elsa said.

"And I'd defiantly be willing to listen." Shiro smiled honestly as the two looked into each others eyes and Shiro cupped her hands in his.

"Shiro..I..I just want you to know, meeting you and the others this whole adventure we've been on together I wouldn't change it for the whole universe not one bit. I..I just hate that we don't have time to…" Elsa nearly sobbed.

"No don't say that, we never feared your powers Elsa, no one did and you have a power greater than this Snow Queen could ever be and your going to use that power to win this. You've lived in fear for so long, but you've come a long way since then and thats what makes you the most amazing person I've ever met not just for your powers, but for the kind, strong and passionate person that you are.." Shiro said while Elsa listened. "and thats something Ingrid can never take away."

Elsa felt her own heart race at these words. "Well I had a great teacher in you Shiro, you've always had that strong sense of moral code I've always admired you never give up on those around you and inspire them to go the distance. Despite everything you've been through the scars you carry you never lost yourself. I think in someway when we first met I knew that about you.I..I never had the courage to say this but…I..I…"

The whole Castle rocked itself this meant the wave was getting closer. "Uh guys countdown to hate fuelled apocalypse coming!" Hunk exclaimed.

"Everyone into the pods now." Shiro said as Kristof and Coran entered their pods and just when Shiro was about to do the same.

"Shiro!" He turned round as Elsa ran up to him and pulled him into a fierce and passionate kiss on his lips with Tears streaming down her face and the former Black Paladin embraced it letting his feelings embrace him. They broke from the kiss with tear filled eyes.

"I love you." She breathed in a sob and Shiro just nodded in return knowing she meant it as he too entered an Altean Pod.

Allura stood at the controls and typed in the needed commands, though she was hesitant at sealing the pods. However one by one the hands of Kieth, Anna, Elsa, Hunk, Lance, Olaf and Pidge lay on hers as they looked to their friends who were prepared for what came next.

"We will come back to this room, and we will set you all free." Allura said with tears in her eyes as she pressed the button sealing the three friends into the pods. Kieth clenched his fist in anger he vowed that Ingrid would answer for this one way or another. That sentiment was also shared by the other Paladins.

The holo screen then appeared showing the energy wave that was almost upon them, Elsa and Anna held each others hands tightly. Anna then offered her hand to Pidge which she accepted and likewise she offered that hand to Hunk, who offered it to Lance who held onto Sven. Elsa then offered her hand to Olaf who took it, and then offer it to Allura who more than accepted it. Keith looked at the approaching wave and for the first time in his life he felt more afraid than ever before, when he looked to Allura she offered him her hand, and without hesitation he took it they stood beside each other no matter what.

"Nothing is strong enough to break what we have!" Allura declared.

The ever creeping wave of pure Quintessence mixed with raw hate surged through the universe like a tidal wave encompassing an entire continent. The wave completely encompassed the Castle of Lions and everyone in it but they still stood strong as the energy wave passed over them and those who were captive.

In the distant corners of the universe planets from Olkarion, to the Balmera to even the Galra Central command ship all saw the same thing a wave of powerful energy encroaching on them all. Ryner watched in great fear as her people sealed themselves in pods in the forest. While Kolivan watched as he chained himself to his ship and the other Marmora members did the same so they couldn't attack each other while others scattered to the stars. The Balmerans Shay included all but concealed themselves in the tunnels but completely separated themselves from their families and their friends.

In Galra Central command the Galra forces fired upon the incoming wave but their fire power had all but no affect on this wave as Morvok and the other Galra commanders gazed at it and for the first time feeling true fear. Haggar still in the infirmary with her Emperor erected a shield from her own dark magic, she had no idea if it would protect them but it was the only thing she could do.

Even Lotor and his generals who were still trapped in ice saw the wave of the Shattered Eye descending upon them. The Garlan prince looked in pure terror seeing the terror they played a part in unleashing.

While from her Ice fortress Ingrid watched with some sick joy as at last her plan had come to fruition, as she gazed out to the stars and felt it through the Eye. One by one the free or Galra occupied planets fell to the power of the Eye, and within an instant the inhabitants all swiftly turned on each other yelling and attacking each other.

On the Castle of Lions the team still held each others hands as the wave passed over them, even confined in the pods Shiro, Coran and Kristof tried to fight back against the stones power. Suddenly the crystal in Alluras possession began to glow, and simultaneously the lions of Voltron responded to their distressed Paladins as their respective coloured auras glowed and that responded to the crystal around the princesses neck and that aura spread to those around her.

Within moments the wave had passed over, and the aura of light had faded. They saw Shiro, Coran and Kristof in the pods. The Ice Queen didn't hesitate running over to the pod with Kieth close behind her.

"Shiro!" Elsa slammed on the pods front. "Shiro!" She cried there was no reply, when he got up both she and Keith had some hope in their eyes but when they saw his face that hope shattered. For the look in his eyes as well as Coran and Kristof's were that of pure hatred and anger. This horrified everyone around them, for the Eye had consumed them and everyone in the universe. All it seemed was lost.

Authors Notes: DUN DUN DUN! Man just when you think our heroes are home free the bad guys always come back for more! Now the power of the Eye is unleashed and the whole universe is turning against each other! Now as everyone knows from the original Voltron Force, The Druul/Galra's home planet was Planet Doom but for this story I decided to give it a better name and the name of the device that could enhance the Shattered Eye.Unmei in Japanese means Doom and the word Kirai is Japanese for hate it seemed appropriate for this story and it brings back some of that Voltron Nostalgia.

Now I know the situation of the Shattered Eye looks hopeless but the Defenders of the Universe are not done yet, and now we enter the Endgame and as many of you who have followed my stories in the past, that means one thing. When I come close to the end of one of my stories I focus my attention on that before updating other stories, and now that time has come for this story so see you soon for the next part
