Chapter 10: Family Part 2
Naruto paced back and forth rubbing his neck in worry as Akeno looked at him confused. After a few more paces she gained an angry pout on her face as she continued to watch her father pace.
"Daddy!" Akeno said, gaining her father's attention. "What is wrong?"
"Nothing, Akeno." Naruto answered as he continued to pace. "I'm just trying to figure out how I am gonna explain this to your Aunts."
"Do you think they will hate me?" Akeno asked with a sad tone.
"What? No, I don't think they will hate you." Naruto said assuringly. "It will be a shock when your mother finds out."
"Uncle said the same thing, when I asked him about meeting Mom." Akeno said, tilting her head to the side.
"Is that so?" Naruto asked, looking at his daughter with a curious look.
"Mmhmm, Uncle said he disappeared three years ago. Making everyone, especially Mom, think he was dead." Akeno said, looking at the water. "He never told me the reason why, but I'd like to think he was doing it to protect mommy."
"He left his family, I could never do that. Especially with your Aunts and grandfather." Naruto said, narrowing his eyes as he began to think what would happen if he had left like Menma did with Blake, and that thought angered him greatly.
"How come?" Akeno asked, curious about her father's answer.
"Our family has been dealt with cruel fate since the moment me and your Aunt Yang was born, though she knows this but our mother, Our birth mother Raven abandoned us when we were born and this broke your grandfather to the core." Naruto explained rubbing the back of his neck as he looked to the sky. "Then our step-mother stepped into the picture and she became our mother, she was the best thing to happen to us and we all loved her until she was taken away from us by the Grimm. I guess what I'm trying to say is that if I had left like your uncle did with your mother, I'm pretty sure everyone I care about would be a shell and nothing more."
"I guess, I don't understand it at all." Akeno said, looking out to flowing waves as they hit the pillars of the docks.
Naruto chuckled as he placed a hand on his daughter's head. "Maybe someday you will, Akeno."
"Come on, let's see if we can find your Aunts." Naruto said walking away from the docks.
"Right, Papa." Akeno said running after her father.
"So, you want to know more about me..." Blake said to Sun as the two of them sat in a small cafe in the middle of downtown Vale.
"Finally, she speaks! Nearly two days and you gave me nothing but small talk and weird looks!" Sun says ecstatically as Blake gives Sun a firm look. "Yeah, like that."
Blake rolls her eyes before closing them and looking at Sun sadly. "Sun... Are you familiar with the White Fang?"
"Of course! I don't think there's a Faunus on the planet who hasn't heard of them." Sun said with a hint of anger laced in his tone. "Stupid, holier-than-thou creeps that use force to get whatever they want. Bunch of freaks, if you ask me!"
Blake takes a sip of her drink while listening, sighing sorrowfully. "I was once a member of the White Fang."
Sun promptly goes cross-eyed and chokes on his drink, making him put it down and wipe his mouth as he holds up a hand to process this information, turning his head back to Blake. "Wait a minute, you were a member of the White Fang?!"
"That's right. I was a member for most of my life, actually. You could almost say I was born into it..." Blake began.
"Back then, things were different. In the ashes of war, the White Fang was meant to be a symbol of peace and unity between Humans and the Faunus." Blake said, looking down at her cup gripping it slightly with both hands. "Of course, despite being promised equality, the Faunus were subjected to discrimination and hate. Humanity still thought of us as lesser beings. And so, the White Fang rose up as a voice of our people. And I was there."
Sun looked at her with surprise but kept silent as Blake continued her tale.
"I was at the front of every rally. I took part in every boycott. I actually thought we were making a difference. But I was just a youthful optimist." Blake said with a downtrodden look as she remembered the stuff that happened, especially the stuff with Menma. "Then, five years ago, our leader stepped down, and a new one took his place. A new leader, with a new way of thinking. Suddenly, our peaceful protests were being replaced with organized attacks. We were setting fire to shops that refused to serve us, hijacking cargo from companies that used Faunus labor. And the worst part was, it was working. We were being treated like equals. But not out of respect... out of fear."
Sun continues to stare at Blake in shock as she places her teacup back on the table.
"So, I left. I decided I no longer wanted to use my skills to aid in their violence, and instead, I would dedicate my life to becoming a Huntress. So here I am: a criminal hiding in plain view, all with the help of a little black bow." Blake finished her ears twitching slightly.
"So… What about the guy in the black coat? How does he fit in?" Sun asked as he tried to come to terms what he just heard.
"You mean Menma, he is my older brother." Blake said with a downtrodden look. "He's not important right now."
"WHAT!? I would think that your brother attacking you is kinda important!" Sun said with a slight glare.
"My brother is complicated, I didn't even know he was alive until questioned me." Black said, pulling out the picture of Akeno that Menma gave her. "About my daughter…"
Sun takes a spit take as he looks at Blake, "You have a Daughter!" Sun practically yelled looking like a deer staring at headlights.
"Yes… No… I don't know, it's so confusing!" Blake said unsure on how she should feel about learning of her daughter.
"So... have you told your friends any of this?" Sun asked as Blake merely looked down in shame and said nothing.
"NARUTOOOO!" Ruby yells as she and the remaining members of team RWBY arrive at where Naruto wanted them to meet.
"Yo Naruto, we're here where are you!" Yang also called out following her little sister's lead.
"Weiiiiss, you're not helping!" Ruby called back to to her white haired teammate
"I don't know why I needed to come along." Weiss said annoyed at the current situation. "He had asked for the two of you to come, not me."
"Because as soon as we find out what Naruto needs, the sooner he can help us find Blake." Yang said, looking back at the heiress.
"Oh! You know what might be able to help? The police!" Weiss said like it was nothing.
"Ugh, Weiss..." Ruby groaned, crossing her arms in irritation.
"It was just an idea!" Weiss said, looking at the Young Leader.
"Yeah, a bad one." Ruby chimed back as she continued walking down the sidewalk.
"Weiss, I think we should hear her side of the story before we jump to any conclusions." Yang said, looking up at the sky. "And plus we need to find out what Naruto wants!"
"Well once we find Naruto and her "side", I think that when we hear it, you'll all realize I was right!" Weiss proclaimed as she followed behind Yang.
"And I think Weiss' hair looks wonderful today!" A voice said, causing the remaining members of team RWBY to turn around in surprise.
"Aaaah! Penny! Where did you come from!?" Ruby yelled.
"Hey guys! What are you up to?" Penny said cheerfully, ignoring the question.
"Uhh..." Ruby said, unsure what to say.
"We're here to meet up with Naruto, but more importantly, looking for our friend Blake." Yang explained looking at the green eyed girl.
"Ooooh, you mean the Faunus girl!" Penny said in recognition.
Ruby, Weiss, and Yang stare at Penny dumbfounded looks on their faces.
"Wait, how did you know that?" Ruby asked, surprised.
"Uhh, the cat ears?" Penny answered, gesturing to her head.
"What cat ears? She wears a... booooowww..." Yang said, laughing a little, as the realization dawned on them leaving them in silence as a tumbleweed blew through in the wind.
"She does like tuna a lot..." Ruby whispered to her sister.
"So, where is she?" Penny asked, looking around.
"We don't know. She's been missing since Friday." Ruby answered. "And Naruto ran off after Blake said something horrible to him."
"That's terrible!" Penny said gasping, approaching Ruby in a way that made the young girl feel uncomfortable but proceeded to light up when she noticed something behind Ruby. "Well don't you worry Ruby, it seems that I found your teammate!"
"WHAT WHERE!?" Ruby yelled looking around quickly.
"She is right behind you." Penny said as the group turned around to see a younger version of Blake with cat ears with blond tips staring at them confused.
"AHH, Blake what happened?!" Ruby cried shocked at looking at the young girl. "Why are you so small?"
"Um, Ruby, I don't think that is Blake." Yang said, looking slightly disturbed at what the youngest member of the team was doing.
"Hello Auntie Yang, and Auntie Ruby." The girl started with a smile causing the two sisters and Wiess to look at the girl with shocked expressions.
"Excuse me, what did you say?" Yang asked, being the first to come out of shock. "Did you call us your Aunts?"
"Well yeah, I mean your daddy's sisters aren't you." The girl answered in a matter of fact tone.
"Uh, I guess that depends on who your daddy is?" Ruby asked, looking unsure about what the girl was saying.
"Akeno, where are you?" A familiar voice called out causing the 5 girls to look up and see Naruto running out of an alleyway.
"NARUTO!" Ruby cried using her semblance to crash into her older brother hugging him tightly. "We were so worried about you!"
"Hey Rubes, sorry for making you worry." Naruto said, hugging Ruby back.
"You ok?" Yang asked, walking up to the two.
"Yeah fine, I just needed to be by myself for a little bit." Naruto said looking up to his twin.
"Little bit!?" Weiss exclaimed, narrowing her eyes at the blond. "You have been gone all weekend!"
"Yeah I know I kinda had a reason for that." Naruto said, looking over to Akeno.
"Oh yeah you still haven't told us why you said we were your Aunts!" Yang said, looking towards the young girl who proceeds to hide behind Naruto's leg.
"Well that is because she is your niece." Naruto answered, shocking everybody except Penny who did not understand what was going on. "She is mine and Blake's Daughter I guess."
"YOU GUESS!" Yang yelled out. "How can you have a daughter with my teammate!"
"Because Yang she is technically a clone of me and her by combining our DNA I guess." Naruto answered calmly, looking at his twin sister.
"A clone?" Ruby said to herself as she went to look at Akeno who came out looking down at the ground. Looking at the young girl she can definitely tell she does take after Blake in appearance but noticed she has Naruto's eyes as well on her ears having blond tips. Ruby then proceeded to smile at Akeno then look at Yang. "I believe him, she looks too much like Blake."
"Speaking of Blake." Naruto said, looking around for the girl. "Where is she?"
"She's missing Naruto." Ruby answered, causing Naruto to look at her with worried expressions. "She went missing soon after we got back to the dorms."
"What Happened to cause her to run off?" Naruto asked, looking around the group as Weiss shrank back a little bit.
"We continued fighting after you ran off." Weiss began as Naruto turned to her listening to what she needed to say. "It kept going on and on until she revealed that she used to be a member of the White Fang and she is a faunus."
"That is when she ran off." Yang finished causing Naruto to look at them with a sad smile.
"So you finally found out huh." Naruto said, shocking the 3 girls.
"Wait you knew she was a Faunus and a member of the White Fang!" Weiss yelled getting close to the blond's face.
"What? no I didn't know she was a member of the White Fang just that she is a Faunus!" Naruto answered.
"Wait…" Ruby said, causing the Elder Blond to look to his sister. "How long have you known that she was a Faunus?"
"To be honest right after the initiation." Naruto answered then gained a determined look. "But that is not important. Right now we need to find her."
"Yeah we know but no one has seen her all weekend." Yang said, causing Naruto to adopt a thinking pose.
"Naruto what are you thinking?" Ruby asked, noticing her brother thinking.
"I think I know where we can find her." Naruto said, causing everybody to look at him.
"Oh go ahead, share with all of us your little plan." A Voice called out causing everybody to turn to a hooded figure step out of a dark portal.
"Xigbar!" Akeno said, hiding behind Naruto's leg.
"Oh hey there Fuzzy, didn't see you there." Xigbar said, taking off his hood, showing that he sports gold eyes, pointed, elf-like ears, upturned eyebrows, and dark hair with several grey streaks tied into a long ponytail. He also has two visible injuries on his face; the first being a damaged right eye covered by an eyepatch, while the other is a large jagged scar extending from his left cheek to just under his left eye.
"You stay from Akeno!" Naruto declared, pulling out his weapon and the other girls following suit.
"You think I'm here for the shrimp as if she is deadweight, a useless project." Xigbar said smugly as he approached the group. "I am here though to give you some information to find that little girlfriend of yours."
"And why should we believe anything you say?" Ruby asked, glaring at the man.
"It doesn't matter, if you believe me or not." Xigbar said with a shrug of his Shoulders. "But I'll still tell you anyway."
"Well then, on with it." Weiss said, pointing Myrtenaster at the man.
"Well since Snow White asked so nicely." Xigbar said sarcastically. "The White Fang is about to pull a heist on a Schnee Dust shipment that just arrived tonight."
"What does that have to do with Blake, are you saying she is somehow involved in that?" Yang asked glaring at Xigbar.
"Maybe or maybe not. Maybe she is gonna try to stop the White Fang from committing the heist." Xigbar stated uncaringly, becoming more smug. "Or maybe the old saying a Leopard can't change her spots rings true and she rejoins her old "Comrades"."
"Blake would never do that." Ruby yelled, getting ready to attack.
"Oh yeah Little Red something tells me she would." Xigbar said with a grin.
Ruby Lunged Forward but Naruto held her back then turn to give a sharp look to Xigbar.
"Whatever you believe about Blake you're wrong." Naruto began pointing his sword at Xigbar. "She would never rejoin something that stands against everything she believes in. Cause in her heart she believes in a world where Humans and Faunus can live as one not in Conflict."
"He is ready" "He will summon it soon" "The Keyblade" "He is the one the Keyblade calls for."
"Hm, whatever just here to give information do with it what you will." Xigbar said summoning another Portal to leave. "Oh and Naruto… Be sure to use it well!"
Naruto looked at the man confused at what Xigbar said as he stepped into the disappearing portal.
"What did he mean by use it well?" Naruto said to himself then shook it off as he turned to the girls. "Alright we need to get to that dock."
"ALRIGHT LET'S GO KNOCKS SOME HEADS." Yang yelled as Weiss nodded in agreement.
"Not you two." Naruto said ignoring the protest being shouted at him.
"Why Not!" Yang yelled.
"I need you two get the police and if necessary get Professor Ozpin." Naruto turned to them. "While Ruby and I scout ahead and see if Xigbar's Information is accurate.
"What about me Daddy? How can I help?" Akeno asked
"You are gonna go with Yang and Weiss, Akeno." Naruto said to his daughter. "I don't want you in the crossfire."
"Alright, then…" Ruby began looking confident. "Let's go get Blake!"
"So, what's the plan now?" Sun asked, holding his hands behind his as he and Blake walked down an alley.
"I still don't believe the White Fang is behind these robberies. They've never needed that much Dust before." Blake said contemplating as suddenly a Woman and a Man stepped out from a Corridor of Shadows causing the 2 go into defensive stances. "Who are you?"
"You want to know the truth." The Man stated his hood covering his entire face. "Then go to the docks where a Schnee Shipment is being held there you will find all your answers."
"What are you talking about?" Blake said, narrowing her eyes at the two.
"All will be answered at the docks." The Woman said as the two disappeared without a trace.
"Well you are looking for a way to prove the White Fang aren't behind the Dust shop robberies." Sun said relaxing.
"But what if it is a trap?" Blake said unsure they should follow the lead they were just given. "Nevermind you are right this best way we can prove that the White Fang is not behind this lets go!"
With that the 2 unlikely Duo run off unknowingly that they had some eavesdroppers.
"Looks like they have taken the bait." The same man who gave the information to Blake said with a chuckle.
"Hook line and sinker." The Woman agreed when suddenly another cloaked figure approached them.
"Vexen… What do you want?" The Man stated turning to a man with Long flowing dirty blonde hair with green eyes come up to with a wicked smirk.
"Just come to see how it's coming along, Project Alpha." Vexen said, keeping his smirk on his face.
"We are no longer your experiments!" The Woman barked looking at the man with disgust.
"Oh on the contrary, Beta." Vexen began looking at the 2 with a look of superiority. "You, Alpha and Omega are essential for my research.
"Omega you mean Akeno right?" Alpha states stoically as a beam of light appears in his hand holding a key shaped sword with a white handle and a rectangular, black guard with thin, orange edges. The guard has two small, rectangular spikes on each of its upper corners. The bottom of the guard is completely black, and does not have orange edges. The tip of the weapon is flat and the teeth are composed of three short, flat-tipped spikes on one side of the blade. There is an orange diamond at the base of the blade, and a thin, vertical line of the same color lines the entire blade. "She is not your concern."
"Oh is that brotherly love I hear from your voice, Alpha?" Vexen says, unphased by the boy pointing his weapon at him.
"Enough Vexen." A Voice called out causing the 3 to turn to see the woman who came for Menma appeared. "Minato is right, Akeno is not your concern, she is ours."
"Ah number XIV trying to order me around again." Vexen Started with a dark Chuckle. "You seem to forget that I'm number IV in the Organization that means I am your senior."
"You may be IV, but that does not mean you're my superior Vexen." The Woman stated glaring at Vexen who slightly gains a fearful look looking at her eyes.
"W-well I have some experiments I have to catalog good-bye!" Vexen said frantically disappearing without a trace.
"Lets go." The Woman Stated starting to walk away.
"Where are we going?" Beta ask looking towards the Woman.
"To see your father!"
Blake lays flat on her stomach on the rooftop overlooking the shipment of Schnee Dust containers. Following the Trap/Clue left by the mysterious individuals, she and Sun went straight to the docks to get some answers to prove that the White Fang are
"Did I miss anything?" Sun ask coming up to Blake
"Not really. They've offloaded the crates from the boat. Now they're just sitting there." Blake answered looking up as Sun drops down to her right.
"Cool." Sun replied holding out a green apple that were in his arms. "I stole you some food!"
"Do you always break the law without giving a second thought?" Blake said giving Sun a questioning look.
"Hey, weren't you in a cult or something?" Sun said defensively causing Blake to deliver an angry glare at him "Okay, too soon!"
Just then the winds blows all around them, and they look up to see a Bullhead's searchlights flashing around for a landing spot, descending in the middle of the cargo area and extending a ramp for a black hooded individual with a metallic fanged mask to come out of.
"Oh no..." Blake said frowning.
"Is that them?" Sun asked looking at the group as they exit the Bullhead.
"Yes... It's them." Blake said sadly staring at the bloody wolf on the back of one the men's outfit.
"All right, grab the tow cables!" A voice called out causing Blake eyes to widen of the sight of Menma stepping out of the Bullhead followed by Axel.
"Menma?" Blake said confused to see her brother there.
"What is your brother doing here?" Sun asked.
"I don't know he never was a part of the White Fang but..." Blake was began until she was interrupted by a new voice coming out of the Bullhead.
"Hey! What's the holdup!?" The new voice called out causing the soldiers and Menma look up to see Roman Torchwick gesturing widely and coming down the ramp. "We're not exactly the most inconspicuous bunch of thieves at the moment, so why don't you animals try to pick up the pace?"
"Shut up Torchwick you were told stay silent!" Menma growled glaring at the man.
"Oh, Foxy Woxy you don't seem to understand." Roman said in singsong tone. "We are on a bit of a time crunch, and seeing that these animals don't know the meaning of stealth we need to get the ball rolling."
"Relax Torchwick that is why we are here." Axel said sarcastically. "Is anybody stupid enough tries to get in our way we will take care of it."
"This isn't right. The White Fang would never work with a Human. Especially not one like that." Blake said as she stands up and unsheathes Gambol Shroud before walking off the edge of the roof.
"Hey, what are you doing?!" Sun said in a alarmed tone as he watches Blake fall to the ground in a crouched position, then she continues on to hide behind one of the containers, peeking around the corner to see Roman berate a White Fang member holding a coil of rope.
"No, you idiot! This isn't a leash!" Roman said, as he's looking around, Blake suddenly appears behind him with her blade at his throat "What the- Oh, for f-"
"Nobody move!" Blake called out as the White Fang soldiers ready their guns and equip their swords in response.
"Whoa! Take it easy there, little lady." Roman said as look to Axel and Menma. "Axel? Fox Kid. A little help if you please."
"Blake if you would let go the pompous racist asshole please." Menma said summoning his weapon see her tighten her grip on the criminal causing Menma to sigh. "Look what do you think this will accomplish?"
"I would ask you the same thing Menma." Blake began as the White Fang closes in on her, Blake uses her free hand to go for her bow and remove it, causing the ribbon to fall away as her Faunus ears are shown to the world. "Brothers of the White Fang! Why are you aiding this scum?"
The White Fang members lower their weapons a little at this development, unsure of what to do, when Roman starts laughing.
"Oh, kid, didn't you get the memo?" Romans laughs out.
"What are you talking about?" Blake says tightening her hold on him.
"The White Fang and I are going in on a joint business venture together!" Roman says smirking.
"Tell me what it is or I'll put an end to your little operation." Blake threatened when suddenly, the air filled with more turbines blowing the wind wildly around the holdup.
"I wouldn't exactly call it a little operation..." Roman said looking up at the sight of two more Bullheads hovering above the heist, and as Blake looks on with horror, Roman smiles and tries to fire his cane at Blake's feet, but is stopped by a shot gun blast causing everyone to look up to see Naruto standing there weapons in hand.
"Sorry to spoil your fun Monopoly Man." Naruto said hopping down training his weapons on everyone except Blake.
"Naruto." Blake said tearing up.
"Hey Blake." Naruto said coming up to her. "Are you alright?"
"I should be asking you that Idiot." Blake said with a smile but was interrupted by Roman.
"Well this all touching kids, but I'm afraid we must cut this short Axel!" Roman began as Axel appeared Blake chakrams in hand causing her to dodge the strike.
As Blake keeps dodging Axel's strikes using her clones as shields to take the blows, then Naruto blocks Axel's next strike kicking him back, as Menma rushes past swing his blade at Naruto who barley manages to block the oncoming attack and proceeds to fall back to the crates behind him.
Penny and Ruby look to see smoke rise from fighting the docks just a few buildings away as the fight continues on.
"Oh, no..." Ruby said looking to the smoke. "We have to help them."
"But, Naruto said we should wait until the police come." Penny stated looking to Ruby.
"I know that is what Naruto said, but I can't let him do this alone." Ruby said then rushed off toward the fighting.
Naruto and Menma locked blades, both neither giving in as both were flown to opposite sides of each other. Getting up they continued their fight exchanging blows going faster and faster almost looking like streaks if light crashing.
"Your pretty good what can I expect as someone who almost beat the Invincible Pyrrha Nikos." Menma said with a smirk.
"Funny, I was gonna say the same thing!" Naruto said pushing Menma back then switching his weapon to his tonfas whirling around Menma with Blinding Speed as The Dark Haired Teen jumps back on top of a cargo container.
"Almost had me there." Menma said looking down on Naruto. "But still not enough."
"Hey!" A voice called out causing the two to look up to see Ruby on the rooftop overlooking them, Crescent Rose extended in it's scythe mode and ready for action.
"RUBY!" Naruto shouted looking up at his little sister as she drops down next to him. "I told you to stay back."
"No, I'm a huntress and your sister I will not let you face this alone." Ruby said determined then turning to Menma who gains smirk.
"Awe Familial Bonds. Either way." Menma said snapping his finger as a Copy of himself appears next to him holding a Standard sword. "Me and your big brother are in the middle of something so shove off."
Suddenly the Menma clone dashes forward and tosses her toward the fight with Axel and Blake.
"RUBY!" Naruto shouted before blocking a attack from Menma.
"As I said this is between you and me." Menma said as he keeps swiping his weapon at Naruto blocking every blow.
"Fine then." Naruto said pushing back.
"Woohoo!" Sun yells leaping from the container above Roman and drops down on the criminal's face feet-first, rolling up and readying himself to fight.
"Leave her alone!" Sun said looking to Axel.
The Bullheads then opens to let more White Fang members into the fight standing by Roman as he gets up and surround Sun.
"You are not the brightest banana in the bunch, are you, kid?" Roman said as the White Fang begin to charge at the monkey Faunus, but he manages to dodge slashes and get some of the soldiers with his fists and kicks until he rolls out of the way of one's sword.
"Haha!" Sun laughed pulling out a collapsible red staff. He quickly uses this to beat down on each opponent that nears him, felling each one in a single flaming blow when he twirls it around, even creating a scorching shockwave to beat the last of them.
Blake continues to dodge attacks from Axel as she turns to watch Sun jump around and beat another White Fang soldier, landing on his back and causing him to fly over toward Roman's head. The crime boss ducks then growls in annoyance and aims his cane at Sun, firing a shot that he defends himself from just when Blake leaps from her fight from Axel into the action.
"He's mine!" Blake growled as she gets in close and becomes a blur of afterimages slashing both blades at Roman, who backs away and deflects each blow with his cane at unbelievable speeds. Blake continues to dash, hop over, and slide around Roman to try and find a weak spot. Finally landing a blow after using her Semblance but he quickly recovers, deflecting several more attacks before attempting to punch her in the face. Only to hit a clone as she flips away. The two clash weapons again, then Torchwick jabs her in the side.
"Hahaha!" Roman laughed as he lands a few more hits on Blake until one final beating to the head by his cane causes her to go down.
Just as Roman was gonna deal the final blow, Sun appears right behind Blake vaulting over her as he kicks Roman in the chest and disconnecting his staff into two spinning circles of flame-firing shotgun nunchucks. Sun swings each gun at Roman while firing everything he as at him, but even with the rapid series of shots and flying bullets, Roman manages to defend himself against every bullet and hit until a millisecond-long pause allows Blake to get a slash in and knock him back. On his back, Roman notices a container hanging by a crane right above the two warriors, and gets up to fire his cane at its supports. Blake leaps behind it, but Sun barely misses when he jumps forward, ending up right below the nozzle of Roman's cane. Just as he's about to fire, his and Sun's attention are drawn to a familiar voice and turn to see Ruby crash into one of the crates.
"Ruby?!" Blake said her eyes widen at the appearance of the Young Team Leader.
"Ow!" Ruby moaned out as she gets up and looks to see Roman. "Hey your that Torchwick guy."
"Well, hello, Red! Isn't it past your bedtime?" Roman said with laugh as Axel walks over back over to with group Chakrams in hand.
"Ruby Rose. Daughter of Summer Rose." Axel said causing Ruby to look at him with widen eyes.
"How'd you know my name?" Ruby asked feeling a pit her stomach form.
"Well isn't obvious how I know your name after all your mom and I go way back." Axel said suggestively causing Ruby to start tearing up. "I mean such a tragedy dying the way she did!"
"What do you mean?" Ruby said glaring now with tears in her eyes.
"Ruby, are these people your friends?" A voice called interrupting the conversation out causing everyone to turn to see Penny standing there.
"Penny, get back!" Ruby looking behind her, Roman snarled and fired his cane at her, launching the young Huntress-in-training back from the explosion's force and sending her scythe flying away. "AAAAAH!"
Roman gives off a evil laugh at his attack on the young girl. Penny turns her head toward the criminal and gives him a glare, then proceeds walking forward while Ruby tries to get back up.
"Penny, wait! Stop!" Ruby said raising her hand in a futile attempt to stop her.
"Don't worry, Ruby. I'm combat ready!" Penny said smiling to Ruby then her backpack mechanically opens up, and from its dark depths comes a single sword that extends and multiples into several blades hovering over Penny's back. Leaping from the rooftop with the weapons acting as wings, she sends three of her swords to knock two White Fang soldiers down before even landing on the ground, where she proceeds then to fling the swords at one enemy, impaled another to a wall, create a barrier of spinning steel against a running attack, leaping over a goon with her swords in tow, and finally making a wheel that she throws to knock multiple White Fang off their feet.
"Whoa!" Sun said as he observed the spectacle in amazement then to run off to safety as the 3 Bullheads that were in the sky open fire on the battle, but Penny forms a shield and then launches two of her swords into the wall behind her, which in turn pull their wielder back with their strings. When her swords swirl around her again, she commands them to open their points and build up a large glowing ball of green light. With a punching action, several bright lasers crack the pavement when they fire at the transports and slice each one in half, causing several of the White Fang members inside to fall and letting Ruby watch as Bullheads fall in pieces behind her.
Stunned, she turns back to Penny as she aims her swords at the remaining Bullheads holding the crate of Dust and pulls back on their wires, tugging the aircraft with them.
"Whoa... How is she doing that?" Ruby said watching in awe.
"Well that's interesting." Axel commented as Roman grimaces and turns to run towards the last transport. "Keep running Roman, it is what you do best."
As Roman board the remaining transport Penny, after her pupils dilate for a second, pulls with all her might on the strings, causing the aircraft to crash into a stack of crates, causing an explosion that shook the area.
"These kids just keep getting weirder..." Roman said watching from the safety of his escape transport, he then uses his cane to close the doors, and the jet lifts off, flying away from the lost battle.
After the remaining transports leave the group turns to face Axel who watches the transport leave with a smirk on his face.
"Well my job is done." Axel said as he turns to leave only to be stopped by Blake who points Gambol Shroud at him. "Seriously this again."
"Your not going anywhere!" Blake said firmly giving Axel a glare.
"And who is gonna stop me as far as I can tell none of your are in any shape while me..." Axel began raising his arms causing a whirl of fire surround him. "I CAN KEEP GOING BABY! Besides I need to go get Menma. Can't have your brother die on us same goes with Naruto."
"Why are Naruto and Menma so important to you and your group." Blake asked continuing to point her weapon at the Man as smirks at her.
"Because they can wield something that has been seen or heard from since Ancient times a Keyblade." Axel said giving a knowing smirk.
"What is a Keyblade?" Ruby asked.
"Well according to my Boss, something that will change the world for better or worse, but beyond that don't have a clue." Axel answered turning around and beginning to walk away again as the sounds of sirens approached. "Well looks like that is by que to leave be good now."
Blake then tries to move to catch Axel but the man already walked through a portal that was summoned by him. Ruby then walks to Blake who gives her a smile.
"Come on we have to find Naruto." Ruby said then begins to run off toward where Naruto and Menma was originally fighting.
The sound of clashing could be heard through out as the battle between Naruto and Menma rage on. Menma slashes his blade at Naruto who blocks in his weapons baton form then quickly switches to sword form and proceeds to do a low slash at the raven haired teen. Menma quickly summons a clone who blocks the blow and then knocks Naruto back sending him flying in to a incoming cargo ship. Naruto collides with ship causing a dent in the haul but quickly pushes him forward right back toward Menma glowing gold as his semblance activates.
As Naruto flies toward Menma, he is suddenly surrounded by 5 Menma Clones who proceed to thrust their sword at Naruto causing to switch back to baton mode to block the first two strikes then using the momentum dodges the other three then disappearing in a yellow flash. Menma looks around for his opponent until he heard whistling noise causing him to look up to see Naruto with a Rasengan coming down on him, causing him to dodge the attack as it slams on the ground breaking part of the dock. Quickly recovering Menma then dashes at Naruto once again and swings his blade heavily cutting clean through Naruto weapons destroying them then kicks Naruto in the chest causing him to crashing into a wall.
Naruto got up and looked around noticing he is not where he was before seeming to be standing on a orange pan glass window with a Artwork of himself at the center with smaller portraits containing pictures of Ruby, Yang, Blake, and Akeno.
"So much to do, so little time... Take your time. Don't be afraid. The door is still shut." A voice called out causing Naruto to look around to see where a voice is coming from.
"Hello is someone there?" Naruto called out but did not receive an answer as suddenly 3 podiums appear out of nowhere all of them having something on them being a sword, a shield, and a wand.
"Power sleeps within you... If you give it form... It will give you strength. Choose well." The Voice called out as Naruto looked at the 3 Podiums.
Naruto walked to the First Podium which contained the sword suddenly he heard the voice call out again. "The power of the warrior. Invincible courage. A sword of terrible destruction. Is this the power you seek?"
"I can't really decide without knowing all my chooses." Naruto called out but received no reply.
Naruto then proceeded to walk to the next podium with the shield hearing the voice one again. "The power of the guardian. Kindness to aid friends. A shield to repel all. Is this the power you seek?" Naruto then proceeds to walk to the final podium with the wand hearing the voice one last time. "The power of the mystic. Inner strength. A staff of wonder and ruin. Is this the power you seek?"
"Hm I have made my choice." Naruto said walking back up to the shield. "I chose the power of the Guardian."
"Your path is set. Now, what will you give up in exchange?"
"The power of the mystic there is no such thing as magic anyways." Naruto answered once again causing the wand to disappear then the scenery changes around him to a the grounds at beacon where stands 3 people all looking toward him. "Great now what?"
"The door won't open just yet. First, tell me more about yourself."
Naruto then walked up to first person noticing that it was a boy around his age with sandy blond hair and blue eyes. His outfit consists of jacket that has white on the right side and black on the left side, reminiscent of the Yin and Yang symbol. The collar of the jacket is red and pleated. Underneath this, he wore what appears to be a grey vest with a single button and several white, angular patterns on it. He wore a third layer under this, in the form of a plain, high-necked, black shirt. He also had a chunk of dull green and blue armor on his midsection that appears to be under his vest, and another piece of armor on his left shoulder. His pants are colored in shades of grey, black, and white. He also wore an ornate, dull green and blue piece of armor on his upper-left arm, along with a black and white checkered wristband on his wrist.
"Uh hey what's up?" Naruto ask but received no reply. "Ugg, I guess this a trend here isn't it?"
"What's most important to you?" The boy asked catching Naruto off guard.
"What's most important to me?" Naruto ask to him self then smiled. "Well My friends of course!"
"Is friendship such a big deal?" The boy asked with a smile then disappeared.
Naruto then proceeded to walk to over to the second figure noticing that it was a beautiful young woman with blue hair and eyes. She wore a black and blue, high-collared halter top, two pink, intersecting belts over her chest, and black shorts. On her arms were white bell-sleeves and tan, fingerless gloves. She also wore a small, segmented piece of armor on each of her upper arms. She wore what appear to be black stockings or socks on her legs which reach to about halfway up her thighs, leaving a small area of bare skin on her upper thighs. She also bears two strips of blue cloth that drape over either side of her hips, along with a smaller, white strip of cloth tied around her waist, draped in the same manner. Finally, she wore pointed, armored, silver boots with a sharp "hook" on the outer side of each.
"What do you want out of life?" The woman asked placing a hand on her heart.
"To be strong to protect those who can't protect themselves." Naruto answers determinedly as the woman gave him a warm smile.
"To be strong, huh?" The woman said disappearing.
Naruto then proceeded to approach the last figure who is a tall young man with brown hair that reaches to the base of his neck in the back and is styled into rather messy, vertical spikes and bangs that frame his face and has blue eyes and tanned skin. He wore a skintight, grey and black, high-collared shirt, showing that he is rather muscular. His pants bear a distinct feudal Haven style; his belt is tied like an obi-sash and he wears hakama traditional samurai pants distinguished by the large pleats. His hakama are dark grey near the top, with several loops for his belt and two buttons, both of which are undone. The rest of the pants are tan with a small, lighter stripe of tan on the bottom hem. He also wore a plain black wristband on his right arm, while his left arm is significantly more armored.
"What are you so afraid of?" The man asked stoically.
"I guess I'm afraid of failing." Naruto said placing a hand on his heart.
"Being afraid of failure? Is that so scary?" The man said as he disappears leaving Naruto alone.
"You want friendship. You want to be strong. You're afraid of failure." The Voice say causing Naruto to look around again. "Your adventure begins in the dead of night. Your road won't be easy, but a rising sun awaits your journey's end."
Suddenly pools of darkness as Naruto begins to be swallowed by it he continues to hear the voice.
"The closer you get to the light, the greater your shadow becomes. But don't be afraid. And don't forget... You hold the mightiest weapon of all. So don't forget. You are the one who will open the door."
As Naruto continues to be swallowed up by the darkness his thoughts drift everyone he cares about. His mom Summer, Akeno, Blake, His dad, Ruby, Yang, Weiss, Sasuke, Sakura, Robin, Jaune, Pyrrha, Nora and Ren as powerful light shoots out from his hand clears away the darkness.
Menma walked towards Naruto unconscious body he began to laugh to himself.
"Looks like the brothers feud is ending early this time." Menma said raising his blade to deliver the final blow to Naruto. "For what its worth I'm sorry."
Menma then swung down at Naruto a bright light shot up and suddenly the blow was blocked by something.
"What the?" Menma said as his eyes widen at what he saw.
Naruto awake and blocked his strike with a new blade in his hand. The blade was a dark brown color, with brass edges. The teeth are made of two pick-like points, with two hammer-like protrusions on the opposite side. The guard was an off-blue color, and seems to be crafted from two Omega insignias. The pommel was a dark blue cone. The Keychain on the end of the blade was a reddish rock fragment with brass armor-like plating.
"A Keyblade but how?" Menma said as Naruto got up pushing Menma back sending him flying. "This changes nothing. New blade or no you will be defeated here and now."
Naruto glances at his new weapon then back at Menma as he shines gold for a brief moment before appearing in front of Menma striking him in the chest with his blade. Menma groaned as his aura took most of the hit but still sent him flying into a lamp post.
'Damn it this can't be happening, my aura is almost gone.' Menma thought to himself as struggled to get up but then collapse on the ground unconscious.
Naruto relaxed for moment but then went immediately on guard as the Woman from before stepped out of portal with Axel.
"Relax, Naruto we are only here to get Menma." Axel said in a mock surrendering pose. "Besides with feds on their way it may not be a good idea for us throw down."
"Take him and get out of here or I take you down here and now." Naruto said readying his Keyblade.
"Just like your sister always looking for a fight." The Woman said stepping forward and disappearing in flash of red petals.
Before Naruto could register what happened the woman buried her fist into Naruto's chest causing him to gasp for air as his Keyblade fell out of his and hand disappeared in a flash of light. The Woman hugged Naruto so closely he could hear her start to cry.
"My baby boy, you have grown up so much." Woman said causing Naruto widen his eyes at what she said. "Please don't follow us Naruto, you need to protect your sisters and Akeno with all your might you understand."
"Who... Who are you?" Naruto groaned out as the Woman released him from the hug as she began to walk away his mind drifted what she said and did it was like he was talking to his. "Mom?!"
This caused the woman to stop and pull down her hood causing Naruto's eyes to widen as he saw someone who looked exactly like an older version of Ruby having the same silver eyes, fair complexion, and graduating black-into-red hair. She also had shoulder-length hair tied back in a half-up/half-down style.
"Mom?!" Naruto said starting to tear up as Summer turns to give him another hug.
"Naruto." Summer said causing her son to look up at her as she gives him a kiss on the forehead. "Be strong my little maelstrom."
With that final word she walked into with portal with Axel who had Menma hoisted on his shoulder as the portal closes she gives him a sad smile as he passes out due to exhaustion from the fight with Menma as Sirens come up on him.
Later, a handful of police cars are at the docks, where Ruby, Blake, Sun, and Penny are sitting on boxes in silence with Naruto resting on Blakes lap as Weiss and Yang come up to the group. Weiss then proceeds to square off with Blake as she gives her a hard look.
"Weiss, I want you to know that I'm no longer associated with the White Fang. Back when I was with the-" Blake began but was interrupted by Weiss immediately.
"Stop! Do you have any idea of how long we've been searching for you?" Wiess said with a pause. "Twelve hours. That means I've had twelve hours to think about this. And in that twelve hours, I've decided..."
Yang, Sun, and Ruby look on, worried while Naruto begins to wake up listening to what Weiss decided.
"I don't care." Weiss said surprising everyone.
"You don't care?" Blake said trying to shake off how surprised she feels.
Weiss: "You said you're not one of them anymore, right?"
"No, I-I haven't been since I was younger-"
"Ah-bahp-bahp-bahp! I don't want to hear it. All I want to know is that the next time something this big comes up... you'll come to your teammates. And not some..." Weiss said silencing Blake again, then looking at Sun behind her as she catches herself. "Someone else."
"Of course." Blake said looking at Ruby and Yang grinning at her, she wipes a tear from her eye, nods. Weiss smiles and nods back unknown too them a small flying Grimm that possesses multiple thorn-like appendages toward its back, with a white bony mask that protrudes a red eye flew behind Weiss jabbing the thorn like appendage in the back of her neck causing Wiess to grunt in pain looks around, then proceeded to shrug her shoulders as a mark shines briefly on the back of her neck.
"Yeah! Team RWBY is back together!" Ruby screams waving her arms wildly causing Naruto to jump up.
"Ruby! I was trying to sleep." Naruto yelled gaining a twitch under his eye.
"Oh sorry Naruto." Ruby said sheepishly
"I'm still not quite sure about how I feel about you!" Weiss said as the six gather with each other, pointing accusingly at Sun causing him to laugh nervously.
"Not to break up the moment, I think someone wants to meet you Blake." Naruto said as he takes Blakes hand surprising her but nodding understanding what he means.
As Naruto brings Blake over to a nearby part as the other watch the two intently Blake is surprised by the sight of someone staring out to the water.
"Hello Momma." Akeno said looking over to Blake with a happy sad smile.
Blake let go of Naruto's hand as she walked over to get a good look at the girl as Akeno gets tears streaming down her face. Blake lowers herself Akeno level and with her hand softly wiping away the tears. Blake then pulls Akeno into a tight hug as all the onlookers look on with a smile on their faces unaware that one of their numbers had disappeared after the fight as from a darkened back seat of a limo, Penny watches the group of friends reuniting with each other.
"You should know better than to go running around in a strange city."
"I know, sir." Penny said lowering her head, sadly.
"Penny, your time will come..." The Driver stated as the car pulled away from the scene.
Xemnas sat in the his chair pondering the news that was given to him by Axel about Naruto and the appearance of a Keyblade. Suddenly Xigbar and another member appear in their respected chairs as the hood figure took off his hood revealing to be a young man with spikey messy blue hair, yellow eyes similar to Xemnas and Xigbar and a distinctive X-shaped scar between his yellow eyes that extends to about halfway up his forehead in one direction and to just under his eyes in the other.
"Lord Xemnas you seemed troubled by the new brought by Axel." The member said speaking stoically looking to Xemnas.
"Not Troubled Saix, but intrigued." Xemnas answered confidently looking back at Saix. "Who could of predicted not one, but both brothers reincarnations could wield the Keyblade."
"But didn't a previous incarnation of the brothers also wielded the keyblade before?" Saix asked still composed as before.
"Yeah there were Ventus and Vanitas, man thinking about a blast from the past, am I right!" Xigbar laughed out smirking toward Xemnas who returned an eerie smirk.
"While it is true that it has not been the first time Ashura's and Indra's Reincarnations to have the ability the to wield the keyblade, I am more intrigued by what has come as a result of both gaining the keyblade." Xemnas answered closing his eyes for a sec but still kept his smirk as Xigbar gained a serious expression.
"Your Talking about the Schnee brat awakening a Keyblade?" Xigbar asked already knowing the answer.
"Yes, while it was unknown if either or any of the clones had the ability to summon Keyblades Project Alpha has proven something." Xemnas said looking at the two. "If Alpha was able to summon the Keyblade, what of Beta?"
"And what if the kid can as well?" Xigbar said rhetorically out loud.
"Should we make attempts to retrieve project Omega before she is able to summon the Keyblade?" Saix asked curious to what his superior to say.
"No." Xemnas simply answered looking to the man. "We will keep watch of dearest Akeno, but once she realize the true scope of her powers we will guide her as needed."
"And what should we tell the old hag." Xigbar stated looking bored now. "Do we let her little pet continue as plan or do we step in?"
"For now we continue our alliance with her for the time being." Xemnas said as he teleports out of the room. "But when it is time our true goal will take place."
Roman walked into a large warehouse with all the light dimmed as he goes over to a table and places down a case of mysterious contents, then sighed in completed exhaustion.
"How very disappointing, Roman." A voice called out suddenly causing Roman to turn around suddenly where the voice came from.
"Whoa! Hehe... I wasn't expecting to see you guys so soon..." Roman said nervously as Cinder walked in to the room with two unknown figures walking behind her
"We were expecting... more from you." Cinder said walking past Roman her finger gliding under the thief's chin
"Hey! You were the ones who suggested working with those stupid mutts from the White Fang." Roman laughed out a little before getting serious.
"And you will continue to do so." Cinder said chuckling darkly as she summons a fireball in her hand and steps out of the darkness with her two companions, a gray-haired man and mint-haired, tanned woman. "We have big plans for you, Roman. All we ask is... a little cooperation."
Naruto looks out at Vale on the rooftop of Beacons Dormitory as he heard footsteps approach him from behind. He turned to see Blake walk up to him in her kimono as he motioned her to sit.
"Did you need something Blake?" Naruto asked as Blake sat next to him.
"Well I never got the chance to apologize about what I said to you." Blake said sadly clasping her hands tightly as she looks down at the ground.
"Oh?" Naruto said unsure what to say as he looks at her.
"I never meant what I said it was heat of the moment kind of thing and I instantly regret.." Blake began but she was suddenly by Naruto giving her a loving kiss.
The pair held on to the kiss until they separated in needing air.
"Blake you don't need to apologize." Naruto said taking Blakes hand into his rubbing the back of her hand with his thumb. "I took it harder than I should of."
"But I.."
"But nothing I care about you Blake since the moment we met I cared about you. If anyone would need to apologize it would have to be me." Naruto said looking into her eyes causing Blake to lean in and give him another kiss with more feeling than the last. "I should of been there to help out instead I ran away."
"Well Mr. Xiao-Long there is no running now." Blake said huskily as she continues to kiss Naruto Deeping the kiss they were having.
"Nope, for now on I am gonna be standing by you and by Akeno come what may." Naruto said.
An Scene... Well Volume 1 is done. So big announcement I am making a 1 off story for Ice Queendom I'm viewing it more as a movie then a off shoot. But yeah that'll be coming some time. Until then see ya...
