The wind whipped through Lieutenant Commander Isuka's orange hair as she stood on the deck of a Marine Battleship. Her gaze fixated on the vast and unpredictable ocean that lay ahead.
The world has been ever-increasing chaos ever since Red Hair Shanks becoming a Yonko. With Fire Fist Ace journey across the grand line that made, and now Kaido rampage.
Being assigned to the G-14 branch of the Marines in New World wasn't her first option. She first serves under Vice Admiral Draw when she got promoted to the rank Ensign two years ago.
But his encounter with Fire Fist Ace four months ago, she asked to be reassigned as she couldn't stand to work with the man who saved her life when she was a kid. For years, she thought it was the pirate who killed her parents, but thanks to Portgas D. Ace, she found out the truth.
After her reassignment to Marineford, she worked hard, trained and hunted down pirates, her own efforts were rewarded, and she was promoted from the Rank of Ensign to Lieutenant Commander and then Vice Admiral Garp asked her few questions about Ace before ordering her transference to G-14.
Now a month, her current mission was to reach Egghead Island, formerly known as Marine's Science Division: Lab 8 with her new men and new boss, Vice Admiral Doll.
Egghead Island is now a renowned destination filled with brilliant scientists and discoveries at least 500 years ahead of current technology. However, the current situation had taken a dire turn as the island fell victim to a devastating attack from a meteorite that cut off communications for a while. So, under Fleet Admiral Sengoku's orders, a Warship of Marines from the G-14 Marine Branch were sent to Egghead to check on the island.
Then Fleet Admiral Sengoku comes in with new orders. Their current aims are not only to rescue the esteemed scientist Dr. Vegapunk but also to protect the island from its current attackers. They also had orders to assist the Warlord Kuma and a Cipher Pol Agent in the fight.
"Lieutenant Commander Isuka..." Vice Admiral Doll said as she glanced at her, a seasoned veteran with a calm demeanor, stood beside her, ready to lead the entire battalion of marines into battle, "Prepare the men, we are approaching the island in a half an hour."
Suddenly, the marine battleship titled to one side and the surrounding sea was filled with freezing winds, icebergs, and strong currents, clashing with warm eddies and forming huge waterspouts that froze and melted in a matter of seconds. Once they passed these obstacles, the mist cleared to reveal the advanced and technological landscape of the island egghead.
As soon as they reach the futuristic harbor, the warship's anchor released, Isuka wasted no time in descending the plank, her rapier already prepared for action.
As soon as Isuka's feet touched the earth of the island, a sudden flash of light spanned across the island sky, and Isuka immediately readjusted her shades as the blinding light covered the entire island.
"HOLD ON!" Doll's voice echoed through Isuka's ears before an earth-shattering pulse of heat roared around them as she tightly gripped the railings of the warship, causing the ship to teeter on the verge of tipping over, and an immense shockwave unleashed ferocious winds that threatened to batter the warship into pieces.
Isuka swiftly dropped to the ground, successfully lessening the brunt of the shockwave impact as it rolled over her.
"What the hell is going on?" Isuka thought with a worried expression as she stared at the flaming fireball that spanned the sky through her shades.
- 5 Minutes Before the Explosion -
- Egghead: Fabiriophase -
Bartholomew Kuma's stony face rarely nowadays betrayed any emotion as he looked at the purple barrier around the Labophase that his opponents had escaped into.
The first pair were much more powerful than the second pair that came, but they seemed to be in a hurry to complete their objectives, and the second pair just wanted to create as much havoc and death as they can. Thankfully, he and Cipher Pol Agent Stussy contained the damage to a certain section of the Fabriophase.
His paws prodded at the shimmering purple barrier and tried to repel it away, only for his hand to bounce off the shimmering energy before he tried again to push through it and displace it.
"I don't like this..." Kuma muttered as he began to feel the seriousness of the situation and worry for his benefactor and friend Doctor Vegapunk, "I think we need to call reinforcements."
"Yeah..." Stussy said before telling him, "Fleet Admiral Sengoku has told us there is an incoming battleship to check the island. Now they are going to be out reinforcements."
- 4 Minutes Before the Explosion -
- Egghead: Labophase (Building A: Fourth Floor) -
After finishing his long conversation with Karasuki, the cloaked individual looked at the smartest man on this planet that was out cold from the Genjutsu placed on him.
He then unpacked the large metallic suitcase and retrieved the wire that meant to connect to Vegapunk's antenna. He then looked at the unconscious Vegapunk, before he took one long sigh and said, "This is for the mission..."
After plugging and connecting it to the suitcase digital computer, Musasabi felt an incoming projection-type Genjutsu and accepted the connection, and the world around him sped up as he synced up the connection so that he was on the same wavelength with the other end.
"How is it going?" said a voice that had a detached tone as its owner fully established the Genjutsu communication link and a hazy figure formed in front of Musasabi. "Musasabi, it's been days for us since you left for the mission. How much time has passed for you... Musasabi?"
"Three hours..." said Musasabi as he nodded at the white-haired man, who had a beard and a trimmed mustache. Hiding his light green eyes were thick glasses with orange lenses. The man wore a black-collared shirt and matching pants.
"Time dilation..." Amado sighs as he takes a drag out of his cigarette, "The difference... Jigen will be informed of this."
"I will talk to Jigen about this later but for now, I connected his antenna to the digitizer, Amado." Musasabi informed him with a respectful look before asking him, "You will be impressed, Amado... They don't call him the Smartest Man in the World over here for nothing."
Amado just lit another cigarette and typed away at something before telling him, "Activate it, so the suitcase and its device can scan the brain and digitize the duplicated information and get out of here quickly. We don't need to reveal Kara's existence yet. Jigen wants this world to be an option..."
"Okay..." said Amado as he dismissed the concern with a wave of his hand before asking him, "What is Koji doing right now?"
"Koji has gone to calm down Shin," Musasabi said with a shrug as grinned before looking at the door that just slid open, "As for Deepa, I am going to him when I once I finish this... Actually, that won't matter, someone is already dealing with him... I am going to have to cut this short, Amado."
Musasabi cut off the Genjutsu Transmission and then stared at the five Vegapunk Satellites; he recognized them, Shaka, Lilith, Atlas, Pythagoras, Edison. All of them were armed to the teeth with highly advanced weapons that were pointed towards him.
Fortunately for him, he had Vegapunk knocked out and a long blade at the old scientist jugular and told them with a grim voice, "If you want him unharmed and alive, you will do as I say. Drop those weapons."
All of them glared at him and then dropped their weapons, and then he moved too fast for their eyes to follow. Five fast strikes later, they were on the floor, knocked out.
Musasabi then looked at them before tying them up with a rope and then looked at the progress bar, as the device scanned and recorded everything in the ever-growing brain that served as a database of knowledge and memories of the world's greatest scientist and his satellites. Basically, the brain data within Punk Records was being duplicated and digitized into the suitcase hardware.
Musasabi nodded as he glanced at the progress bar as it finished, and packed up before untying Dr. Vegapunk, his satellites and the bodyguard Sentomaru that who was slowly waking up.
Musasabi then clasped his right arm and underneath his cloak he pulled out a Katana and then slashed the control panel that controlled Frontier Dome, disabling it. A large groan hummed across the island in response as the Frontier Dome powered down.
"It will take a day of repairs for them to fix this..." Musasabi thought as he headed down the lower levels before his eyes found something that caught his eyes and he then felt a violent tremble and a shockwave hit the island, and the Labophase trembled.
As he made his way down the floors, something caught his eyes and he grinned before snatching it and storing it in a pouch.
- 3 Minutes Before the Explosion -
- Egghead: Labophase (Building C: Third Floor) -
As the carbon cubes whizzed past him, Naruto's eyes gleamed with determination. With lightning speed, he twisted his body, contorting like a serpent in the air. The cubes grazed his clothes, slicing through the fabric with a menacing hiss.
Gravity seemed to have no hold on him as he flipped and somersaulted through the thousand carbon projectiles. His movements were fluid, a dance of danger and agility, assisted by the shadow clones formed by a handed sign with his felt hand and use them to pivot himself midair.
The ground beneath him crumbled as Naruto landed, sending shockwaves rippling through the earth. Naruto's eyes narrowed as he surveyed his opponent, their sinister grins turning into one of confusion.
"An average Jonin should have died from that!" Naruto heard his opponent whisper before asking him in a demanding, "Who the hell are you?"
Naruto just picked up a carbon cube that was embedded into the earth and inspected it before tossing it away with a thought, "It's not what I thought it was..."
"How on earth did you achieve this level change of chakra nature in earth style nature transformation?" Naruto asked him with a serious look, "There isn't the usual level of impurities that makes it weak to most lightning style jutsu."
The person just grinned and told him, "Surprised, aren't you? The name is Deepa. How do you like my beautiful body?"
"Oh, great I am facing off a guy with vanity issues..." Naruto groaned before he crossed the distance between them in an instant and buried his left fist deep into Deepa guts.
Deepa hunched over in pain before he retaliated with a thrown fist, but Naruto was faster as he delivered a roundhouse kick to the side of his face before Deepa punch connected, sending him crashing through to the wall and into the open hovering land out of the building.
Naruto stepped out of the from the recently formed hole in the walls of the building and stepped on a white solid cloud.
"WHAT!" Naruto mentally recoiled as he observed his surroundings and realizing that he and the building he had emerged from were standing on clouds that appeared solid but had a jiggling and melding nature and a single thought came into his mind, "Are these clouds?"
Naruto looked around and saw he was standing on a floating small island made of clouds that had three interconnected buildings and was dotted with trees. The most prominent characteristic was a colossal egg-shaped structure, cracked open and towering above the clouds, with its lower half protruding unevenly along the cloud boundary. It had a ring of metal whizzing in orbit at the upper part of the egg.
There was another island below them, made of solid land. The city on it was a futuristic city, more advanced than anything he had ever seen. It was colorful, glassy, and flashy, but in between the hovering cloud island and the city was a purple shimmering barrier that Naruto recognized.
"That's a barrier, a Purple Flame Formation to be exact..." Naruto's eyes widened in surprise as he recognized the jutsu, his face contorting with shock as he questioned reality for a moment and muttered out, "That's not possible!"
Naruto's gaze intensified as he confronted Deepa, demanding answers. Deepa, in a disoriented state, struggled to stand as Naruto interrogated him. "So, who exactly are you, Deepa?"
Deepa then rushed at Naruto with a furious glint in his eyes, and his body suddenly began exhaling a huge amount of steam. Naruto blinked as Deepa disappeared from his sight in a burst of speed and looked wildly around, Naruto then felt Deepa punch snap his head backwards and sent him flying away and he his left hand extended out and grasped something hard as he was sent flying away and he ripped it out.
In a split second, Deepa's piercing scream cut through the air, echoing with raw intensity as searing agony surged through his right arm. He instinctively clutched it, feeling the pulsating waves of torment coursing through every fiber of his being.
"What the hell..." thought Deepa as his eyes widened in sheer horror as he gazed upon the grotesque sight before him. His right arm had been ripped off, twisted off from his body before staring at Naruto with shock, "He didn't... At that moment he still countered me?"
"I ripped it off when your punch sent me flying away..." Naruto answered him as he held out Deepa ripped off right arm in his left hand.
That left hand was glowing with huge amounts of chakra as it held Deepa torn off arm, before he tossed it away and the same hand was used to wipe the small trickle of blood from the corner of Naruto mouth as he spoke, "You surprised me there, why didn't you show me you were that fast? Don't hold back on me if you don't want to lose."
Deepa felt the scientific tools within his body growing hotter with each moment and thought, "I must finish this as fast as I can! I must not overdo it!"
Naruto then closed his mind and focused intensely as he forced the flow of his chakra to swell. Naruto then muttered, "First Gate: Gate of Opening!"
With the activation of the First Gate of the Eight Gates, which was in the left hemisphere of Naruto's brain. Naruto sensed the liberation of his body muscles from their mental inhibition. Motivated by this progress, he pushed it even further, even more by unlocking the Second Gate in the right hemisphere.
"Second Gate: Gate of Healing!"
Naruto felt his body strengthen, and his exhausted body get energized. Literally dying and coming back had made his body feel starved of food and rest for a week.
"That's my limit without Sage Mode..." thought Naruto as he exhaled a sigh and felt the then moved out of Deepa line of sight as soon as Deepa rushed forward to attack him.
Deepa's attacks were no match for Naruto, who effortlessly sidestepped each strike with faster reflexes and his now re-energized body. Naruto then extended his left hand and in a snapping fashion he threw a flurry of blows that landed on Deepa's face that left him staggering and recoiling in pain.
"This is..." thought Deepa with widened eyes before he threw another desperate attack, only for it to be blocked. Fear and desperation crept into Deepa's eyes before he pushed those away as he thought, "I still got my ace in the sleeve. Doesn't matter if he is faster than me! He can't outrun this. "
Deepa then began to focus on his severed limb that lied a couple of feet away and began to use the microscopic scientific tools within his body and the carbon within his arm to trigger it. And sent the nanobots drugs to amplify his chakra within the detached limb. The chakra was turned into pure carbon, and the arm became heavier and hotter as it grew denser as the carbon atoms began to be forcibly approach others.
Amado told him the process was risky since it could burn up his body and damage the microscopic tools within his body. But now his arm was torn off and detached from his body, and he could still control the microscopic tools within his arm to start something that could level cities. The fusion of carbon atoms, the act released a tremendous amount of energy at once when atoms fused into other atoms.
Deepa grunted as the carbon atoms instantly smashed into each other, forming new atoms and releasing a tremendous amount of energy. Heat and light began to shriek from his detached limb. His opponent face morphed into one of worry as he wrapped his body with a thick shroud of chakra and raced towards the impending explosion, forming a hand sign as he closed on the glowing arm. As he reached for it, a blinding flash and an explosion ripped through the surroundings and shattered the purple barrier.
Deepa jumped into the opening he created with a strike aimed at the heart.
-1 minute before explosion-
- Egghead: Scrapyard -
"Get your stinking frogs off me!" Shin yelled angrily as he swatted away the large swarm of amphibians surrounding and clinging on his body as he stood on a gigantic metallic robot. "They are getting in my eyes!"
"You should have thought twice about overstepping your bounds..." Kashin Koji said as he glared at him and then corrected him, "And they are toads! Not frogs!"
Shin just glared and all the eyes on him changed shape and pattern.
"Don't try it..." Koji said with a hiss, "You already made this mission more annoying than it is! Infighting between members isn't allowed!"
Suddenly, something hits the shimmering purple barrier that surrounded the cloud like island in the sky, and a powerful explosion ruptures the barrier, shattering it into a million pieces.
Koji's eyes widened as he glared at the point of explosion and felt the buffering winds and shockwave roll across the island, and he stood there ignoring the battering winds with a deep frown on his face.
Koji eyes then catch something barreling towards them as it fell from the cloud island above them. Two bodies were grappling each other midair, and they landed with such force they caved the earth with a crater and sent thousands of metallic shards of scarped equipment and inventions that had been thrown
"You... can't keep up... with me..." a voice hissed through the dust, "So you pull off a move like that? You are too dangerous-"
Koji then saw an unconscious Deepa in the middle of the crater as an extremely tall person stood over him. His upper body was laid bare as the burned bandages crumbled to ashes. His clothes were extremely burned and ripped apart and were in the lower half of a kimono's robe.
The blonde man's left hand was ready to bash in Deepa's head in. Koji sighed and attempted to save his comrade, only for a blur to do it first.
The blur collided with the blonde man and kicked him away, sent him crashing to the nearest wall and through it, and the blur pulled Deepa from the crater and joined their side.
Koji heard Deepa's knocked out body being promptly dropped to the earth, and he said dryly to his partner, "Musasabi... I think we should retreat for now. Do you have what we need for now?"
"Hold it right there!" a voice echoed across the futuristic city. "That stings... Ow."
The man had shrugged Musasabi's kick was like it was nothing and approaching them with a walk that left no opening. No opening for an average fighter like Deepa, but Koji could see a sliver of one.
"Musasabi... you went for the kill, right?" Shin asked Musasabi with a suspicious glare before the eyes all over his body began to change their pattern and they locked on the futuristic building nearest to the scrapyard, it trembled briefly before it was ripped off from its foundation, zoomed into the air, angled itself and then the colossal futuristic structure hurtled towards the blonde man with unimaginable speed. The sheer force of the impact buried the opponent underneath a mass of rubble and metal into the scrapyard.
"Shin..." a drowsy Deepa muttered as he glared at his partner before complaining, "I was going to kill him!"
Shin just chuckled and told him, "Apart from Amado and that brat by his side who are non-combatants... You are the weakest among Kara Inners. Stand down... you lost to that thing."
Suddenly the crater filled with rubble erupted upwards and the blonde man burst from it with an annoyed look on his face as blood trickled from the side of his head and glared at the four of them, and said "I just came back... never mind about that."
And he moved to disappear from their sight. Koji and Musasabi easily tracked his movement and presence but ignored him as, in a burst of speed, he appeared behind them, facing Shin directly.
Shin just stared at disbelief as the blonde man appeared next to him, snarling at him, "Where the hell did you get this many Sharingans!?"
Shin leaped away, his hands transforming into an altered appendage that was sharp and hardened claws and they glowed with a subdermal red glow and then lashed out at the blonde man, the claws grazed the man's sides before he created distance.
Koji and Musasabi remained in their fixed position, unbothered except Deepa, who was getting up to his feet.
"What are you guys doing?" Shin just growled at Koji and Musasabi as his numerous Sharingans on his body synchronized, resulting in the transformation of the three tomoe into a pattern characterized by a prominent circular shape surrounding the pupil, accompanied by three distinct points and then froze mid word, "Koji, Musasabi! If you don't kill him, I will! Hachi-"
"This is the Marines!" a sudden commanding voice echoed across, "Any intruders will be arrested and faced with justice! We got the Fabiriophase surrounded! Turn yourself in!"
Naruto was seeing the impossible right now... It didn't matter if he came back from the dead. That happened before. But people other than him wielding Chakra after everything that happened? That was something he never expected to see again when he was alive after the Fourth Great Ninja War.
But as soon as he came back to life, he already faced one and now he was looking at three more individuals who could do that. They were stronger than he expected...
"This is the Marines!" a commanding voice echoed across the scrapyard. "Any intruders will be arrested and faced with justice! We got the Fabiriophase, and the Scrapyard surrounded!"
As soon as Naruto heard that, he saw feathers falling from the sky and suddenly he began to feel drowsy, and he could hear people dropping their weapons with a clatter as they collapsed to the ground with a slump.
"This stupid Genjustu..." growled Naruto as he cut off the flow of foreign chakra in his brain and rebooted his chakra network, dispelling the Genjutsu that was cast on him with the surrounding people.
"Where did it come from?" thought Naruto as he looked around at Musasabi walk up to Deepa and Shin and tell them in a bitter voice, "We are leaving..."
Naruto then saw the tiger hand sign formed by the man called Koji. Naruto struggled to get steady on his feet as he felt the chakra gate slammed themselves to limit the flow of chakra within his body to normal.
"That's my limit... I need more training..." Naruto thought as he held his bleeding side.
Naruto could see the look of distaste and disgust on the Koji's face as he glanced at Deepa, before he bit his thumb and slammed his hands down and a technique formula was produced at that spot as he said, "Summoning Jutsu: Boiler Toad!"
From the puff of smoke came out another thing Naruto never expected to see again-
"A toad... from Mount Myōboku?" Naruto whispered in shock as he looked at the large gray toad that had artificial body parts sticking out of it.
"Not Exactly..." said the cloaked figure as he gave Naruto a look and Naruto saw a mask which conceals the top-half of his face, from what he could see of the lower half man was smirking at his shocked expression, "These are... never mind."
"You got what we came for?" Kashin Koji asked Musasabi.
"Yes ..." Musasabi, his voice now identifiable as a male, ignoring Naruto as he waved the metallic briefcase around. "Let's go, Koji... can we leave this idiot behind?"
"No." Koji said with a shaking head, "We can't afford more information leakage now."
Naruto then attempted to move only for Kashin Koji to form a couple of hand signs and says, "Sealing Jutsu: Frog Suppression."
Four pillars rise from the ground, encircling Naruto and the pillars generate a field that effectively paralyzed Naruto movements.
Both Musasabi, who was carrying a metallic briefcase and Kashin Koji, who was carrying Deepa, walked over to the large toad and then entered its open mouth. The person called Shin grudgingly followed them and swallowed them whole.
Naruto then sent a burst of chakra through his body and overpowered the Sealing Jutsu. Kicking off the ground, Naruto sprinted towards the toad. He was inches away from the toad and was replaced by a huge puff of smoke when it was reversed and summoned to an unknown location.
Naruto just gritted his teeth and scowled at where the toad was and glared at the reverse summoning circle before he shifted his attention to the two figures approaching.
A woman with short, curly blonde hair caught his eye immediately. Her captivating blue eyes glimmered haughtily. She possessed a slender and slightly curved physique, accentuated by the sight of her ample bosom. The soft curves of her body were visually appealing, while the gentle sway of her movements added a subtle grace to the scene.
"That's a trained woman... a dangerous one." Naruto thought as he recognized the signs and then looked at the clothes she was wearing, "She is a Kunoichi? No... a Kunoichi will not stand out."
The blonde woman wore a salmon-hued dress with a purple hem, adorned with pink diamond motifs at the base, along with a petite white cape, a sunhat embellished with a floral accent, and high-heeled shoes with ribbon embellishments.
Naruto's attention then turned to the other person - a tall man holding a book with "Bible" written on the cover.
What caught Naruto's eye were the man's large, round ears that resembled those of a bear, sticking out from the top of his head. His eyes were hidden behind a sleek pair of glasses. Atop his head, a white hat contrasted with the deep blue fabric of his pants, which was adorned with subtle brown spots. The jacket he wore proudly displayed a striking white design resembling a crosshair. Along the lower edge of his coat, delicate white paw prints added a touch of whimsy. Last, his long, protruding chin completed his distinctive appearance.
"They got away..." Naruto said with a groan, "So what now?"
The blonde woman just looked at him with a frown. "We need to make sure Dr. Vegapunk is safe."
"Dr. Vegapunk?" Naruto asked with confusion as he stood up and then realized the natural energy within his body and told them with folded arms, "Is this a hospital?"
"Oh, my head..." a voice murmured with a wince, and Naruto realized the woman with vermilion hair had woken up and took one look at her surroundings before snapping at the sleeping soldiers, "THE REST OF YOU WAKE UP OR I WILL PUT YOU ON LATRINY DUTY AND YOU WILL BE USING YOUR OWN TOOTHBRUSHES FOR IT!"
At that command, nearly all soldiers snapped awake, and were panicking, and one of them yelped and saluted here, "Lieutenant Commander Isuka! Forgive us!"
"Then got on your feet and scour the rest of the island..." Isuka snapped at him, "Find Dr. Vegapunk!"
"There is no need for that..." a voice echoed across the Fabiriophase as it before it trailed and let out a huge screeching yell, "WHATTTTTT!"
"Stella?" said a male voice that sounded very careful. "What are you yelling about- OH! WAIT THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE!"
"Shaka, cut it out!" a enraged feminine voice growled before it and let out a shocked gasp, "BUT! BUT! BUT! BUT! BUT..."
"Lilith?" a squeaky and energetic voice said in confusion before it let out an intelligible shriek.
"Edison, what's wrong..." a calm and soothing voice said before it stopped in its track, "IMPOSSIBLE!"
"Pythagoras, what is wrong with you and the others..." a young girl's voice before it out a childish scream, "HAVE WE BEEN KILLED? CUZ WHAT I AM SEEING IS NOT MEANT TO HAPPEN IN REALITY!"
"Atlas, why are you screaming with them..." a female voice yawned before realization filled her voice, "Oh yeah, there was that... I WAS SO SCARED FOR ALL OF US! THAT I FORGET TO SYNC!"
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU FORGOT YORK?!" The elderly voice exclaimed in shock and berated her, "THIS IS SOMETHING YOU SHOULD HAVE INFORMED US IMMEADITLY!"
Naruto just sweat dropped to see seven individuals pointed at him and pressing their noses at the glass screen, their faces shocked and horrified as they said in union, "HOW ARE YOU EVEN ALIVE? YOU HAVE BEEN DEAD FOR OVER THREE DAYSS!"
A shocked ring of silence made everyone stare at Naruto with an incredulous look and Naruto just gave them a deadpan look and the large sized man with bear's ears lifted his glasses and Naruto could see the astonishment within him, "That a first for me..."
Naruto then just felt a grin and told him, "Back in my hometown I was dubbed as the Boy of Miracles..."
"You are coming back to life is indeed a miracle..." the large man said with a nod before smiling at the seven behind the screen of glass who faces were still shocked, "Doctor are those who I think they are?"
"You are doctors?" Naruto asked as he waved his right arm and yelled in annoyance, "Why is my right forearm missing? Where is it?"
Instead of answering, all seven doctors just fainted.
-Kara Dimension-
Koji glanced at his partner, who was in shadows cleaning his blade, and asked him, "So, how was your report to Jigen?"
"Jigen is not pleased with Shin and Deepa..." said Musasabi as he inspected the blade and then glanced at Koji, his face still hidden by the shadows, "He considered disposing of them, but he just demoted them to Outers..."
"Ah, you two are here..." Amado said as he enters the room with a mug of coffee in one hand and a tablet in his other hand, "Oga is going over the data... She says it will take weeks to arrange the useful knowledge from the useless parts. So, did everything go according to plan?"
"Yes..." Koji heard his partner say as he places his mask before stepping out of the shadows, "We got what we needed. Amado... Jigen wants another ritual."
A look of distaste crossed Amado's face, and he said, "Karma compatibility is extremely rare! Only Code survived the last ritual, and he still isn't suitable as a vessel!"
"Out of the three hundreds people Kara performed the ritual on, there were only two survivors..." Musasabi said with a shake of his head, "One lost his hand, the other got a defective karma."
"The problem is our population is limited..." Amado said with a shake of his head, "Jigen was living in the Land of Snow when the Infinite Tsukuyomi was cast. He saved some of us, like me and my daughter and some other scientists and our families."
"But he mostly took people from outside the Elemental continent. That distant continent was beyond the control of the Five Shinobi Nations was okay. They had shinobi and samurai from the land of silence. But that western continent..." Musasabi pointed out as he slumped into a chair, "The people from the western continent fighting forces had knights. They and their knights don't even know what chakra is! Their Writing System is different! Only thing is good about them is their machines."
"Tell Jigen until the population grows to a certain size..." Amado told Koji as he took a sip from his coffee cup, "Doing a ritual is going to do more harm than good, even if we succeed! If he wants a divine tree, there needs to be enough nutrients for the tree..."
"This is going to sound out of taste, but have you ever thought of using a smuggling ring?" Musasabi told them as he lit a cigarette and took a puff, "The world we just were in? Slavery may have been lawfully abolished, but the practice is still existing for their nobles and the so-called gods..."
"Musasabi, how do you know so much about that world..." Koji asked him with a look.
"Punk Records helped and Eida used to give me all the answers I want..." Musasabi said with a drawl, "We still don't know where the location of the chakra fruit that was harvested from our dead planet that we all lived in. Archive records after the Fourth Great Ninja War had mysteriously disappeared. Our only hint we have is the information from Eida is to look for a person going by Uzumaki Naruto..."
"About Eida and her brother..." said Amado with a frown, "It's been a month since Boro disposed of them. Dameon was becoming an unruly teenager threatening Jigen's rule. Eida also was becoming a problem... I went too far."
"That's why I refuse you to modify my body with the scientific tools..." Musasabi said with a sigh, "Also, Jigen had forbidden you from enhancing me. About Code..."
"Forget about that nut job. Anyway, our only hint from Eida about Uzumaki Naruto whereabouts is that he resides in that planet we were just in... Jigen views tracking him down as a secondary priority. The planet space curvature and time dilation proved it to us," Koji says with a shake of his head before asking, "Was the person we met at the end was that Uzumaki Naruto?"
"Pfft... Uzumaki Naruto, him..." Musasabi chuckles with a shake of his head, "He is meant to have a more powerful chakra and more chakra reserves than Jigen due to being a Jinchūriki! I sensed him! He is not him, but he may have a connection with him. A student of his perhaps..."
"We all have our secrets Musasabi..." Amado snorted before he stood up, "Now where is Oga and that cup of coffee?"
Musasabi then stood up and said, "I am going to talk to Jigen."
As he left the room, and turned around the corner, Musasabi let out a breath of relief.
"Of course it was him..." Musasabi thought as he used his chakra to send a transmission that contacted his other half that he left behind on Egghead.
"So... How are things over there?" Musasabi as asked his other half, that was created when he used the Fission Jutsu to separate himself into two back when he was in Egghead.
Mu's Fission Jutsu, the second Tsuchikage specialty, it's a highly advanced ninjutsu that enables one to divide their own body into two identical yet entirely independent duplicates of themselves.
Unlike clone techniques that seem similar, this ability is fundamentally different, as it physically separates the person into two people and doesn't need hand seals. Even if one of them is out of commission, the other won't be affected, since neither of them is the real deal. Because the duplicates cannot be dispelled like normal clones, they cannot reunite if one is sealed, or worse, killed. The major drawback of this jutsu is if one half dies, the other dies too.
Using Shadow Clones was not an option as their chakra will bound to run out from there, this was the best option.
"I am still at Egghead..." his other half said with a serious voice.
Suddenly Musasabi felt the familiar pain ring through his body and he gritted his teeth to stop the groan of pain.
-One Piece Dimension: Egghead-
"I am still at Egghead..." Musasabi said to his other half that was in the Kara dimension as he sat on the top of a building listening to the conversation that was happening in the streets of Fabiriophase below him, "Things are just as-"
"You are me and you know what needs to happen in the next of couple of months... I am cutting the connection off. I can feel another one coming..."
Musasabi tensed his body, bracing himself for what was to come. Suddenly, a searing jolt of pain tore through his chest, as if his torso were being torn apart.
"It hurt less than before..." thought Musasabi as he groaned in pain before he felt the pain recede away, "Am I getting better? No... It must, because I split myself into two beings. The pain had weakened by half too..."
"YOU IDIOTS! HOW COULD YOU SLEEP ON THE JOB!" came the enraged voice from the woman called Vice Admiral Doll. "And you! I expected better from you, Isuka!"
"Hey, no one is a fault at here except..." came a protesting voice.
"Stay out of this civilian- No, a zombie! This is Marine affairs!"
Musasabi chuckled as he looked below to see Uzumaki Naruto just tilt his head as he judged the female marine vice admiral and told her, "Now there is no need to call me that."
Naruto then disappeared in the blink of an eye and then suddenly reappeared behind her, causing her eyes to widen in surprise and whirl around at him with surprise and then give him an impressed look, "You are pretty fast.."
"Now there is a reason they must all have fallen asleep in the middle of apprehending the criminals..." Naruto told her with a drawl as she went silent and then her face became thunderstruck.
"Of course, a devil fruit..." Doll muttered with a sigh.
"Yes, that..." Naruto said as a sly grin tugging at the corners of his mouth.
"Bullshit... you know it was a Genjutsu..." Musasabi muttered with a smirk as he watched everything happening below.
"How did you stay awake then?" Isuka asked Naruto with a perplexed, "Did you find a weakness?"
Naruto narrowed his eyes at her briefly before giving her an. "Well, we got a smart one here, you asked the right question... Well, I dislocated my thumb and then fixed it right back. The pain made me feel alert when I felt I was being unnaturally sleepy."
"Oh..." Doll hummed in an impressed tone, "We could always use men like you... Most of our recruits are too dumb and weak to be of use when they enter the marine. How about it? Join the marines and I could fast track you up the ranks."
Naruto's face became unreadable after that and he opened his mouth but he before could answer his head swiveled and stared at the direction he hid in with a perplexed expression.
Musasabi just remained calm and stayed where he was, hidden in the shadows as he thought, "Everything is going as it should be. She will be coming at any moment."
"HEY YOU, YES YOU! BLONDIE!"
Naruto then turned around to face the incoming voice calling him.
"HEY YOU, YES YOU! BLONDIE!"
Naruto turned around and was startled to see one of the seven doctors, a girl who towered over him, her height rivaling that of Kaido himself, as Naruto observed. Hanging down, her ear adds a touch of playfulness to her appearance, complemented by her short and curly hair that showcases a unique combination of white on the left and pink on the right. With each step she took, her lengthy, thick tail trialed behind her. She wears a short, black dress adorned with her assigned number, PUNK 5 and a downward-facing arrow. In her ensemble, she combines dark boots, gloves with light sleeves, an earpiece for communication, and a formidable jetpack on her back.
"Follow me, Stella wants to ask you something..." she huffed at him before
Naruto turned back in the direction where he sensed something before he shrugged it off, "Must have been my imagination..."
Naruto then asked her with a raised eyebrow, "Fine, but I want my right forearm and hand back."
"We Vegapunk's amputated it off, it was too damaged to operate, and the energy is radiation it still too dangerous for us to handle without our hazmat seats."
"Vegapunk?" Naruto asked her with a raised eyebrow, "So all of you are called Doctor Vegapunk? Are you a family of doctors?"
The big girl froze and looked at him with a surprised expression before beginning to mummer to herself, "I never thought of it like that, but we aren't related at all. The six of us are just aspects of Stella. Shaka, Lilith, Edison, Pythagoras, Atlas, York... we all have own wills and desires and are therefore effectively six unique people."
"What are you talking about?" Naruto asked her as he lost track of her conversation and she sighed as she stopped in front of a large mobile capsule that was written at sides rocket, and shoved him inside before she followed him in. Immediately the capsule propelled itself through the glass tubes, whizzing and turning up to the enormous cloud above Fabiriophase city.
"FABIRIOPHASE TO LABOPHASE TRAVEL TIME... 40 SECOUNDS!" a disembodied voice said before they screeched to a halting stop as it said, "DESTINATION REACHED!"
Naruto then stepped out of the mobile capsule. He saw the entrance of the main building. The left building was heavily damaged from Deepa attack when he used his dismembered arm to implode on itself.
But the main building and the right building seemed mostly fine apart from the scorch marks, Naruto thought as he remembered diverting the explosion and its force upwards and into the sky.
His bare feet touched the squishy and seemingly solid clouds, and Naruto felt a smile tug at the corner of his lips as he trudged across the cloud. With each step, he felt lighter. In his mind, there was only himself, the sky, and his own thoughts with Dark Naruto.
"So that's it..." Dark Naruto asked his other half with a glad expression, "Being dead was a bit of a funny experience for me. Many hated us and cared for us. But most of all, I learned a lot from that span of time..."
"Yeah..." Naruto said as he nodded in agreement and then whispered softly to his other half, "The memories are fuzzy in my mind, but my soul remembers everything... So when will it happen?"
Naruto waited for the reply, but it never came. And feelings he so long ignored came to him and he accepted. Rage, shame, frustration, hate and anguish filled him along with one positive feeling he wished he felt for the past seven years: hope.
He gave it to the people of Wano, but Naruto could never feel it as he thought his sins and failures made him a doomed person who could never forget his past. No matter what he did, the feeling of a better future never came to him, even if he created that said future.
Hope
Naruto relished his current feelings as he walked over the soft but bouncy cloudy ground and was snapped out of his thoughts as he heard the large kid ask him, "What's your name?"
Naruto was half-tempted to pull off an introduction like Jiraiya by pulling a kabuki dance with the toads but remembered he didn't have a living summons and just told her with a exasperated sigh, "Hey kid... I want to meet the others first before introducing myself. It's better that way."
"Well, don't fret we are here..." Naruto heard a voice say, and he looked behind himself to see all other Vegapunk's and the large man with bear's ears, and the blonde woman with a purse, and a large man with the same stock of a sumo wrestler.
For a brief movement, Naruto looked at them, and the most notable man in the group stepped forward. Standing out in the crowd was an elderly man, relatively tall, with slender limbs and a flush of red on his cheeks. The distinct feature of his head is its elongated shape, which has been sliced neatly at the top where he is brain was, instead there was an antenna resembling the top of an apple-core and its leaf. He had a smooth, bald head, while the sides were adorned with spiky white hair, and a thick mustache completes his look. The elder forehead stretches out remarkably wide, his tongue extends to an unusually long length, and his eyes sit closely beside his potato-shaped nose. On his back, a short white coat proudly showcases the initials SSG, while his pink shirt adds a playful touch with its red polka dots.
The elderly man then prostrated towards Naruto, much to Naruto discomfort, "Thank you... For Saving York! She is valuable to me! To my team..."
Naruto just grabbed the old man and propped him up and told him, "Raise your head... Old Man. I think you tried to save me after I fell from the skies and onto this island... but I died not because you failed... I died because I was tired..."
Dr. Vegapunk lifted his head, and then the man with the futuristic mask threw a newspaper at Naruto feet.
One look at the major headline that detailed Kaido rampage, Naruto just grimaced and said out aloud, "Did I piss him off that hard? He lifted an entire island and moved it to near Wano now? Well, I don't know what's going in his head when he thinks he killed his only child and foster children. Nearly killed me after that..."
"You died because you pulled out the life support system and reopened your wounds."
"Actually, did I kill myself or did I die from the injuries he gave me?" Naruto continued to ramble on, "Wano must have been a kind of hectic since I left."
Everyone else blinked at the tidbit of information Naruto muttered, and they weakly said, "What?"
Naruto was snapped out of his ramble and he muttered, "Is there something wrong?"
"You are from Wano?" the blonde woman with blue eyes asked softly. "This could pose a problem. The world government will want you brought in, the Celestial Dragons-"
"Not happening!" said the large man that had his hair styled so they looked like a bear's ears protruding from his head and hat. "No way..."
"I agree with Kuma." The elderly Vegapunk said with a nod as his eyes become narrow.
"Can we hide this though..." came the worried voice.
"Stussy!" said the normal sized man with futuristic metal helmet mask emblazoned with number 01 across the face of mask, obscuring his features.
His attire was a long, dark blue coat adorned with eye-catching yellow patterns. The bottom of the jacket is adorned with the words: Vegapunk 01, while the left sleeve bore the cautionary word: Caution. His large boots extend all the way to the hem of his jacket, leaving no skin exposed.
"We may all work for the World Government, but we don't actively comply with their policies..." the man with the metal helmet said, "Still after Saint Saturn found about the backroom deal, we took all precautions, so something never happens like that again to you Kuma. It's best we pretend nothing happened here."
"Forget it Shaka..." a woman in a pink suit said, "I was tempted to turn him in to the navy for a higher budget but then I remembered he saved York."
"Lilith!" Vegapunk groaned at her with a frown.
"Actually, I should have been more forthcoming..." Naruto sighed as he looked at the sky and told them, "Wano isn't my birthplace... It never was, but it had been my home for the past seven to six years?"
"Then where are you from?" Stussy asked him with a raised eyebrow. "Wano borders are out of reach for average people. You made it there?"
"It's complicated. What do you think I am?" Naruto asked them with a sly grin, wanting to blow these scientist's mind that he was from another world that was in another universe.
"A crippled warrior ..." Lilith said bluntly.
"A washed-up blonde zombie..." Shaka said harshly.
"A weird but an okay person..." York said with a snicker.
"A suicidal maniac..." Atlas said with a deadpan.
"All right, that enough with the jokes everyone." Vegapunk yelped as he saw Naruto sitting in the corner with a depressed expression and mumbling to himself.
Naruto then snapped out of it, and laughed, "Ah, I have been called worse since I was baby... Demon, Hokage Killer, That thing... But I turned out fine in the end."
"Still, that does not make it right..." everyone one else thought with a wary and worried expression at Naruto.
"There is no one like me..." Naruto said with a sigh as his azure eyes gained a faraway look, "I am the sole survivor- I am a Jinchūriki..."
Naruto could see the confused looks from the people in the room as he uttered the unknown term before pinching the bridge of his nose and muttering to himself, "Stupid Naruto... They don't have chakra... they would not know what a Jinchūriki is..."
"Jinchūriki is Human Sacrifice for Power..." Naruto said as he looked at his left hand, "The term is a play of the word which means God Reaching Power, honestly its ironic they choose the name like that..."
"What are you talking about?" York asked Naruto with a confused and Naruto noticed something simmering in those aqua green eyes, "Are you calling yourself a god?"
"No... I am a human being, but I am not a human being from this planet." Naruto answered her with a shake of his head, "I come from a lineage-"
"An extraterrestrial human! That's fascinating!" said the red mechanical being called Pythagoras with a gleeful voice, "We have records that the sky people once lived on the moon... in an advanced city filled with robots. But to see extraterrestrial in front of us is unexpected!"
"Extraterrestrial- what?" Naruto asked him with a frown, "What does that mean?"
"Extraterrestrial means a being that came from outer space." Lilith said with an eye roll before saying with a wide grin, "Basically alien..."
"Ahh... No, I am from earth..." Naruto corrected them before nodding. "Just not this earth. I am from another earth that is in another dimension."
"WHAT!"
"THAT'S EVEN MORE FASCINATING!"
"YOU MUST BE STUDIED FOR SCIENCE!"
"IMPRESSIVE!"
A/N: Hello R8handman, Happy new Year guys...
Yeah my bad, I got busy and studied and forgot about this story while I had a large writer block. This chapter was meant be longer, but I split it into two, so you can have something to read right now.
So I am slowly but surely writing this story again, So about Kara... They will play a prominent role in the story and Musasabi is not an OC character. He is very important to the story.
Naruto and Vegapunk and his Satellites. That was fun to write. Some of you may notice that the timeline seems to be a bit off with Vegapunk Satellites being present this early in the OP world timeline, it will be explained in future chapters.
Currently, we are nine months away from Luffy starting his journey. Naruto will have plenty to do in this time.
