Time passed quickly and 3 years passed since Ariel and Gabriel were born. This is year X791, 7 years since the incident on Tenrou Island. These last few years felt long for Ben and Mira because a lot has happened to them from the Tenrou Island incident to them having children.
Mira's body had returned to her previous state from before she was pregnant. There are no chubby parts, except her breasts and butt which were big from the beginning. She also started to work again 2 years ago after training for a few months to get back in shape.
It's been a long time since she fought because of her pregnancy and taking care of her babies. So she needs to train while also taking care of the babies, making her training longer than expected. The babies are very clingy to their mother, so Mira needed to stay with them most of the time.
In these last 3 years, Ben and Mira haven't taken a job together because one of them needed to stay behind to take care of the babies. Unlike Ben, Mira never went alone on a job. She always went with her siblings and even took Wendy and Carla with her.
Ben sometimes went alone and when he is not alone, he only brought Bella with him. Occasionally, his jobs are extremely dangerous, so he can't take a lot of people with him. Although he sometimes took easier jobs to take Wendy and Carla with him so he can teach them many things.
Speaking of Wendy, she had grown a lot over the last few years. She was 12 before the Tenrou Island incident and this was 4 years before Ben freed them. So she is 16 now if we don't count the 3 years, and she had really grown.
Wendy looked a lot like her Edolas counterpart, except for her height. She is still quite short despite her assets and growth. Unlike Edolas Wendy, she still used her twin-tail hair model which she really likes.
No one had a problem with that because Wendy still looked really cute. She is still very innocent despite growing up. So twin-tail hair suits her better then the straight model that Edo Wendy used.
Anyway, in those last 3 years, Ariel and Gabriel have shown a lot of growth. Their physique grew faster than normal children and now they were almost as big as Asuka who's 2 years older. Not only that, their intelligence is also high as they can read difficult books already and they understand the books.
Ariel and Gabriel have shown different growth in their personalities. They've shown it since they were born, but it became a lot clearer as they grew up. Ariel was a tomboy, cheerful and talks a lot while Gabriel is calmer, he is a quiet type.
Both of them also have different interests. Ariel likes playing outside while Gabriel prefers staying inside to read books. Even so, Ariel will still read the books that Ben gave her and Gabriel will play outside if his sister asked him to.
Their different interests were also displayed in the magic that they like. Ariel likes Ben's magic, especially the flame element. As for Gabriel, he likes Mira's magic, but he wants to have a different type of Take-Over, preferably a unique one.
Ben and Mira haven't planned to teach them magic though for the time being. They want their children to enjoy doing what they like first and the kids are still too young. The plan is for the two to learn magic when they are five or if they ask to be taught.
"Ben nii-san, we are ready to go." Wendy called out from the house's 1st floor.
"Wait a minute, the kids aren't finished yet." Ben said from his children's bedroom.
Ben is putting clothes on his children while Mira is wearing make-up. Everyone is wearing nice clothes today because they are planning to go somewhere. They will go to the capital with their guild mates.
"It's been 5 years since we last participated in this event. Fufu, it really brings back memories." Mira said.
"I don't really want to participate, but the situation is different now. Those people who I've never heard of before just needed to say something unnecessary last year. It wouldn't be a problem if it was just that, but their words have affected me a lot." Ben admitted.
During last year's Grand Magic Games, the winner of the tournament did something that affected Fairy Tail. The winner was the Sabertooth guild, a new guild that had been formed a few years ago. They won the tournament and did something that was unnecessary.
Sabertooth was mocking Fairy Tail for not participating over the last 5 years. They said that Fairy Tail is looking down on the tournament by not participating. Fairy Tail was also looking down on other guilds and even the kingdom that's holding the tournament.
The kingdom was provoked by that because the tournament was established to find the best guild in Fiore. However, even after Fairy Tail stopped competing, the guild was still acknowledged as the best one because of it's high job completion rate.
The rate went up after the Tenrou Team returned. They took more difficult jobs and finished almost all of them. The only problem was they did damage to some towns and villages, but it wasn't as frequent as in the past, so the people still have a lot of trust in them.
Thanks to Sabertooth's provocation, the kingdom reduced the amount of requests they gave to Fairy Tail. So they only received personal requests with low rewards. They could no longer take it, so they decided to participate.
Fairy Tail also couldn't do anything about it because the right to choose which guilds will receive their quests is solely on the clients. Even Ben's name couldn't affect the kingdom's decision. If they try to force the kingdom to give them good paying jobs, it will cause their reputation to plummet.
Sabertooth's provocation didn't just affect Fairy Tail. A lot of guilds that didn't participate last year or the years before that were also affected. That's why a lot of guilds were participating this year, making this Grand Magic Games the one with the most participants.
Ben and his family head to the guild because they will all go together. After arriving at the guild, they wait for everyone to gather together before heading to the river behind the guild. They meet up at the river bank and Ben activated the magic circuit hidden on the ground.
A massive metal box suddenly came out of the river. It's the guild's airship hangar that can only summoned by Ben and Makarov's magic power. A bridge also appeared as access to the hangar.
Everyone then entered the hangar and boarded the airship. Ben pilots the airship and they immediately go to the capital. Everyone is excited, even the Tenrou Team because they can finally participate in this tournament.
On the way there, Ariel, Gabriel and Asuka are running around the airship. Gabriel was silent most of the time, but this was his first time on the airship. So he joined his sister and Asuka in exploring the airship.
Elfman, Natsu and Gray were tasked by Mira to guard them and no one dared to refuse. Guarding children is a difficult task and the 3 who have gotten much stronger feel that it's harder than even their most difficult job. They were tired when they made it to the capital.
At the capital, their airship's arrival caused quite the ruckus. They were the guild that was talked about the most by people in this tournament. So people immediately talk about them as soon as they arrive.
The Fairy Tail mages exit their airship as soon as it landed. Ben came out last while carrying Ariel on his shoulder. "Sabertooth, huh? Let's see just how good they are."
