Last time on Poké Rangers Dino Charge…
The rangers thought they had it all when they stopped Gircannon and Ferro Fett. On top of it, the rangers gained a new ally, Josephine Holliday, to be the new Dino Charge Violet Ranger. Well, Maracturne decide to sneak to the Sinnoh Region and tries to tire the rangers out using a monster that drains their life with dreams. Lisa, with help, created a stimulant that will help the rangers face the creature. Back in Hoenn, Jo, Kyland and Thomas meet some of the Dino Thunder team to create a new charger. However, the Red Dino Ranger had his doubts…
Oreburgh Fitness Center…
"1… 2….1… 2…"
The sound of Leona doing lunges back and forth caused a lot of struggles for her as she was working on the lower body. Using 15-pound dumbbells, Leona was doing a superset. She had one set of lunges and then suitcase squats. As she did three sets, she collapsed on the bench after she dropped her dumbbells. As she was breathing heavily, she turned around as she heard the sound of Zebstrika's voice. As Zebstrika went to lick Leona's face, Joe walked over as he had his 20-pound dumbbells. Placing them on the ground, he walked over as he turned to Leona.
"How are your legs?" asked Joe.
"Dead…," said Leona, laughing. Joe grinned as he turned to look at his smartwatch, "Well, told you doing super sets like that would kill your legs."
"You're telling me," she replied. Joe laughed a little as he went to continue to speak, "So, I have a question to ask you."
"Shoot…," said Leona, looking at the black ranger as he went to speak, "About Lionel. Is there anything else about him?"
Leona shrugged as she turned to Joe, "Well, besides the fact that he was a traitor to the kingdom, I really don't know much. But, I do remember something in that dream…"
"Dream?" asked Joe.
"Yeah, the dream where I could see the Dinosaur Kingdom," said Leona, looking at Joe. Joe turned to her as he went to speak. However, she continued, "It's almost like it was yesterday. I remember seeing myself in Drake's arms and then there was my mother who held the grey cloth bag of gems…"
"Grey bag?" asked Joe.
"Yeah… it had the ten crystals in there before she died. That shadow silhouette was… it looked like Lionel," she said, "But, I'm guessing its more than the crystals."
"Yeah, it's the mini pendants. I've been trying to figure out the connection. Turnchou has one, you have one… it's almost like these pendants are also connected," said Joe.
"Interesting," said Leona. Before the conversation continued, there was an explosion. Glass broke through the front doors as people started evacuating. As the rangers turned around, they noticed a familiar face. Shockhound appeared with a happy face of excitement with his saber stretched out. Next to him, there was a Magmar monster with black gauntlets on his arms and legs. He had white armor on his chest with a white gun that had gold designs. His eyes were covered by sapphire sunglasses. He placed the gun behind his head.
"Shockhound…," Leona muttered.
"Welcome back… now get out," said Joe.
"No way!" shouted Shockhound, "I've waited for a full week to get my revenge. Ain't that, Hunter Assassin Demongun?"
"Yes…," he said, laughing, "You told me they would be here. I guess now's a good time to take them out."

Chapter 28: Roar of the Red Ranger Part 1
"Take us out?" asked Leona, looking at Shockhound, "Come on, dude. You think you can defeat us now that there are nine of us?"
"Enough talk," said Joe.
Joe turned around as he stretched out his Poké Ball. A red beam struck Zebstrika as he returned his Pokémon back in his Poké Ball. Leona and Joe then turned around as they stretched out their Fossil Chargers, "Fossil Charger, Energize!"
Pressing the buttons, their energy crystals channeled through their Fossil Chargers. The two of them did a dance as they opened their Fossil Blasters, placing the Fossil Chargers inside.
Tyrantrum, Energize!

"Unleash the Power!"
Spinning the blaster, the rangers pulled the trigger as black and red auras surrounded them, transforming into their ranger suits.
"Seriously… I could've shot you five times by now," said Demongun, pulling the trigger, releasing flame pellets. The two rangers dodged the attack as the pellets hit a retaining wall. Insantly, one side of the wall collapsed in response. Leona turned around as she looked at Joe. Joe turned to Demongun as Demongun reached for his pistol, turning the golden dial, "That was vaporize… this is full auto!"
Holding two hands, streams of flame bullets pierced through the rangers as they landed on the ground. Shockhound laughed as he went to strike. Joe and Leona were struck by his saber. Leona turned around as she used her Fossil Saber. Shockhound laughed as he released a golden energy from his saber, cutting the blade in half. Leona froze as Shockhound laughed, "This blade got a little upgrade from when you last dueled me."
POW! POW!
Shockhound looked up as Joe aimed his weapon. No burns or dents were made as Shockhound laughed, "You thought you could beat me with wimpy blasters?"
A golden electrical charge surrounded Shockhound's saber as he released it. Leona and Joe were electrocuted as explosions appeared, causing them to fall outside of the Fitness Center. Leona managed to get up on her feet as Joe followed suit. Using their Fossil Blasters, they glided along their right shoulders.
"Dino Armor, engage!"
Dragging their blasters, their armor appeared along with their individual weapons. Demongun went to shoot again, causing Leona and Joe to flip forward and land on two feet. Joe turned around as he used his Armaldo Blaster, shooting Demongun. Demongun blocked it as he went to shoot again. The bullets continued flying, only for Leona to block it with her Tyrantrum Fang. A red aura surrounded her weapon as she went to strike.
"Dragon Claw!"
Demongun blocked the attack with his pistol and then kicked Leona to the ground. Joe turned around as he placed his Armaldo Blaster down. He then took out an orange charger.
"Relic Claws, Energize!"
Pressing the button, he placed it in his Fossil Blaster. His orange claws formed from both hands as he went to strike Demongun and Shockhound. Combining claws, he jumped up to attack. Black aura surrounded his claws an Armaldo surrounded him. Stretching the Relic Claws, Joe jumped up as he began to spin. A purplish-blackish aura surrounded him as a spiral wave was forming.
"Crush Claw!"
Black and purple claws combined as he dug through, ready to pierce Demongun. Shockhound laughed as he dashed forward, stabbing the sword in the ground. A golden forcefield surrounded him as Joe fell backwards, landing on the ground. Joe grumbled as Leona looked up to see what was going on. No attacks were working.
"This is going to be a very tough fight," said Leona, turning to Joe, who was grimacing in pain.
"And now-," said Shockhound, only to get interrupted by golden lightning bolts. Joe turned around as Mack and Grayson arrived to strike. Demongun quickly pulled the trigger, shooting them down. As the two of them winced in pain, Lisa and Atticus arrived to fight. Leona and Joe picked up Grayson and Mack. Mack turned around as he looked at them, "Let's finish them off!"
"Yes, let's," said Leona, "Dino Spiker, Energize!"
Pressing the button, a blue charger surrounded it as Joe threw it in the air. The weapons were thrown up in the air as well. The Tyrantrum Fang stood as the base. The Carracosta Shield was placed on top of the Tyrantrum Fang. The Armaldo Claw and Kabutos Slasher connected to either side of the blaster. The Basitodon Drill connected to the end. The Dino Spiker charger went inside the front of the blaster. A golden energy surge surrounded it as Leona grabbed it.
Mack placed two golden energy chargers in his saber. Pressing them, a golden aura surrounded his weapon.
"Golden Amber Saber, Thunder Fang Slash!"
Swinging his saber, a yellow bolt of energy appeared with yellow and electric teeth emerged.
"Dino Spiker, Horn Drill!"
As a yellow bolt of energy went across, the Dino Spiker combined as one blast. Demongun laughed as he pressed a button on his gun. A red and orange aura surrounded it as he grinned.
"Magma Impulse!"
Pulling the trigger, red and orange blasts emerged as their weapons reflected toward them. The six rangers yelled as explosions surrounded them. Flashes of energy surrounded them as they transformed out of their suits. Shockhound laughed as he looked at them, "That's what you get!"
"Correction…. That's my line," said Demongun.
"Watch it, rookie," said Shockhound.
As the two started to argue, a black claw emerged from the sky, grabbing Shockhound and Demongun, causing them to disappear. The rangers stood in shock as they saw the damage that happened. Leona turned around as she looked at them, "Is everyone okay?"
"Yeah…," said Joe.
"Oof… that was rough," said Atticus, rubbing his forehead. The blue ranger stumbled over as he went to help Leona up. Mack turned around as he was looking at what was going on. The smoke was somewhat starting to clear as the crew started to head back to Dino Paradise, trying to figure out how all of this was going to work.
Meanwhile…
Ferro Fett's ship was floating in the Distortion World, getting repaired. As the systems were getting upgraded, Maracturne and Cremelia were amazed at how much repair was done based on what happened a few weeks ago. Turnchou walked onto the bridge with his lab coat, looking at the team as he grabbed his wrench, "Well, we were able to do a few upgrades in the ship. Weapons and defenses have gotten stronger."
"That's good," said Maracturne.
"Excellent!
The three turned around as Lionel walked on to the new bridge. The bridge was black and silver with red lights, a big step up from the original. He looked around as he went to sit down in the chair, "And now it's only a matter of time."
"Time?"
Lionel turned around. The others stood in shock. Shockhound arrived, walking down the stairs with Demongun behind him.
"This is Demongun, one of Gircannon's top commanders," said Shockhound, looking at Demongun, who was grinning from ear to ear.
"Yes sir," said Demongun, turning around, "And to prove we have done something cool…"
He walked over to what used to be Ferro Fett's chair. As he pressed the blue button on the chair console, the villains looked up to see the ranger footage. Turnchou, Cremelia and Maracturne turned to each other and then at Demongun. Cremelia stepped forward as she turned to Lionel, who was also surprised. Lionel looked over as he went to speak, "So, you would like to tell me how you did that?"
"That's a secret," said Demongun, grinning. Lionel nodded slowly as he turned to the other villains. He turned to Demongun as he went to shake hands with him, "I think we can have you join us…"
"Lionel!" shouted Cremealia, "We don't even know him!"
"Anyone that can beat the six of them is valuable… even with nine… there's no way the rangers could handle it," said Lionel.
"Did you say nine?" asked Demongun, looking at the screen, "There are three rangers unaccounted for."
"Correct," Lionel responded as he turned to the villain, "If you can defeat the nine of them, this will be a piece of cake."
"Oh don't worry. I am not planning on doing this alone either," said Demongun, walking away. He turned around as he went to leave the bridge, "I got some friends who would love to meet them."
He laughed as the doors started closing. Cremelia turned around as she went to speak to Shockhound. Shockhound turned around as he went to walk away. Shockhound looked up as he went to speak, "We need to work with Gircannon if we want to fulfill Ferro Fett's request."
"But, we are bounty hunters, not part of an army!" Maracturne shouted.
"And as bounty hunters, we sucked. Gircannon brought us to the Dinosaur Kingdom to burn them to the ground and seize the crystals for his power… not for riches… and now with Ferro Fett out, we HAVE to comply," said Shockhound.
Turnchou, Cremelia, Maracturne and Lionel turned to each other and then at Shockhound. Reluctantly nodding, Shockhound crossed his arms as he looked at the four of them, "Thank you for cooperation. Now, let's go get those rangers and finish them."
Dino Paradise…
Jo, Kyland and Thomas sat down at the table as they ran into the other rangers, who were stumbling to find their seat. Leona looked up as she turned to Jo, who was exhausted. Leona felt that way, except it was more than just the gym, it was every bruise. As she rubbed her stomach full of bruises, Jo grinned as she turned to the rangers.
"So… I saw that Demongun destroyed your weaponry," said Jo.
"Yeah," said Joe, "And it's going to be a tough challenge!"
"Not so fast," said Kyland, "We just got back from the Hoenn Region to do something powerful."
"Powerful?" asked Lisa, "How powerful?"
"Well, for starters," Jo said, walking toward the rangers. She opened up a silver briefcase. The rangers noticed there were multiple chargers in the briefcase. Drake, who was there, was impressed at how much was duplicated, "With some help, I was able to duplicate all of your chargers. Each ranger will have 10 chargers… enough power to strike. We are working on a new device, but that's coming soon. But… Leona, I have something for you."
"For me?" asked Leona.
Jo walked over as she opened a small black box. As she opened it, Leona and the others stood there with surprise. It was a red and white charger. There was a silver Tyrantrum on the face with the number 1 and a plus sign, "We managed to create a special charger for you."
"What is this?" asked Leona. Joe looked at it as he turned to Jo, "Is this a Battlizer Charger?"
"What in the world's a Battlizer?" asked Atticus.
"Red rangers get these specialized powers where it increases power and energy. They can be used to destroy the toughest monsters and possible villains," said Joe, turning to Jo, "Am I right?"
"Yes. This will activate the Dino Charge Battlizer. We had to go through hoops to get this charger specially created. There's only one, so you need to use it wisely," Jo responded. Leona nodded as she turned around to look at this, "Well, can I test it?"
"Well… we never really tested it in the Hoenn Region. You see, we had to extract some DNA from Pre-Earth energy and…. We aren't sure if you can use it," said Jo.
"Pre-Earth?" asked Atticus, looking down, "Wait… wasn't there a Hoenn team that used Pre-Earth power?"
"Yes…," said Lisa, looking at Joe. Joe nodded, "Dino Thunder. You must've extracted some energy from the Red Dino Fossil to create this."
"Correct. That's why it's not for use right now until it's safe to use," said Jo.
Leona turned around as she looked at the violet ranger, "And sometimes, Jo… we need to go with the flow. Come on guys."
Jo rolled her eyes as Leona walked up the stairs. Drake shook his head as he looked at Jo. Jo turned around as the rangers parted ways. Drake had a concerned look on his face.
"Make sure she doesn't use it…. Keep convincing her not to. I have a bad feeling," said Drake.
Later that day…
The rangers were walking together as they managed to climb out of the Route 207 pit, heading to Route 206. Atticus turned around as he brought his Carracosta Shield up. He looked at Leona who had her new charger in hand. The other rangers were surprised as they were watching Leona and Atticus on opposite sides of the field.
"So… are you sure this will work?" asked Atticus, "This is the only weapon that just got repaired."
"That's why I was hoping that we can work with it… hopefully this weapon can blast it…" said Leona.
"Ooh… I see a test!"
The rangers turned around as they turned to Turnchou and Shockhound. Shockhound laughed as he looked at them. He walked over as he laughed manically. Lisa stepped forward as she noticed him.
"It's nice to see you back… sadly," said Lisa.
"Shut it, pink. We are here to have some fun. No weapons, just you… easy pickings," said Shockhound.
Kyland laughed as he turned to the rangers, "At least we can still morph."
Thomas nodded his head as he clenched his fingers, "We still have our weapons you haven't trashed."
Jo nodded as she took a step forward. As she did that, red and orange flame rockets appeared around the nine of them. Explosions surrounded them as the rangers landed on the ground. Demongun laughed as he was looking at the rangers. He turned around as he went to speak, "How does it feel to be burnt to a crisp?"
"And you must be Demongun….," said Jo, getting up from the grass.
"Yes… and I would like to finish you while our leader is in recovery," he said.
"Finish him, regardless," said Leona, "Rangers, Let's Poké Battle!"
"Fossil Charger, Energize!"
Pressing the chargers, the rangers' energy crystals began to glow as energy transferred to the charger. The nine rangers did a dance as they spun around, placing the chargers in the blasters.

The rangers spun the morphers and placed them up in the air, "Unleash the Power!"
Pulling the trigger, nine beams of light surrounded the rangers as they transformed into their suits. The rangers stood together with Leona in the center.
"Tyrantrum! Dino Charge Red!"
"Armaldo! Dino Charge Black!"
"Carracosta! Dino Charge Blue!"
"Kabutops! Dino Charge Green!"
"Bastiodon! Dino Charge Pink!"
"Aerodactyl! Dino Charge Gold!"
"Omastar! Dino Charge Aqua!"
"Rampardos! Dino Charge Grey!"
"Aurorus! Dino Charge Violet!"
"Poké Rangers Dino Charge!"
As explosions appeared behind them, Demongun stood across from the area as Leona went to finish her statement. Demongun took the gun and pulled the trigger, shooting them down. As the rangers got up from the grass, he shook his head as he placed his hand on his head, "You give me a headache already… let's burn them to the ground."
Before they could do anything, a blue electrical surge surrounded them. Next, explosions surrounded their suits as the rangers landed on the ground. Turnchou arrived with his magnet blaster, looking at the crew, "Let's do the job!"
Leona stepped forward as she went to find the secret charger. Leona pressed the button as she turned to her Fossil Blaster, "Tyrantrum Max Charger, Energize!"
"WAIT!" shouted Jo.
As she inserted it into the Fossil Blaster, she spun the blaster as she aimed directly at Demongun. Demongun laughed as he looked at her, "Really… you invented a new thing to beat me? Try me!"
"Gladly… Unleash!"
As she pulled the trigger, a red aura surrounded her as she started to scream. Red energy struck everywhere as the villains and rangers took cover. Explosions appeared around the area as Leona fell to her knees in pain. Screaming, her whole entire body began to transform. Her body went from being in a ranger suit began to have claws, and silver spikes on her back. A tail also started to grow. She was half human, half Tyrantrum with red and rub claws. The rangers watched as she started using her tail swinging at everything. She dashed forward, grabbing Demongun and throwing Demongun down repeatedly. Demongun cringed as her mouth opened, grabbing Demongun by the neck and throwing Demongun to the ground. Shockhound and Turnchou went to strike. Leona opened her jaw as a Hyper Beam was unleashed, causing Shockhound and Turnchou to fall on the ground. Leona turned around as she turned to her friends. Jo froze as she went toward them. Joe turned around as he went to grab Jo by the arm. Leona released another Hyper Beam, causing explosions around. Leona turned around as she jumped, landing three feet away. Vibrations occurred as she started running away from the area.
"Lisa, come with me…. Everyone else retreat!" said Jo.
"Uh…," said Joe, but Jo turned around, "Joe, trust me."
Joe, second in-command of the team, was going to protest about authority, but he didn't want to argue with the new ranger, especially with what just happened. As the others started running away, Lisa and Jo took out their Cyclizar Chargers, "Cyclizar Charger, Energize!"
Pressing the button, a yellow aura surrounded the batteries as they placed it in the Fossil Blaster. Spinning it, the rangers pulled the trigger. Two Cyclizar emerged out as they landed on the ground. A violet and pink aura surrounded it as it transformed into a motorcycle with Cyclizar's head on each. For Jo, she had an Aurorus head on top with a rainbow crystal on the forehead. The two rangers drove off. Demongun, Turnchou and Shockhound looked at each other as Demongun shook his head.
"That was interesting…," said Turnchou, "Now we have a rampant Tyrantrum-Leona that's going to kill us!"
"Not necessarily," said Demongun.
Turnchou turned around as he looked at Demongun. He smirked as he turned around, "Those rangers will be so busy finding Leona, we can attack them while they are still sensitive. When the leader is out of commission, the whole team falls apart."
Shockhound laughed as he turned around, patting Demongun on the back, "I like your thinking, new guy. Now, let's get going and start thinking of how we can kill the other eight. We will deal with Tyrantrum Leona later."
Dino Paradise…
Hours passed as the other rangers were sitting there. Drake and Roark were looking at each other as they turned to the team. Drake was fuming, angrily fuming. He turned to them as he looked at Roark, who shook his head. Drake walked over as he turned to one of the tables that had a few things. With his hand, he knocked them all on the floor in anger. Drake turned around as he looked at the seven of them.
"I SPECIFICALLY said to Jo that Leona shouldn't use it. We don't know what happens when you mix Pre-Earth with Energy Crystals that were infused in those fossils, specifically the Jaw Fossil itself," said Drake.
He then turned around as he looked at Joe. Joe gulped as Drake placed his hands on the table, "And why didn't you stop her?"
Joe said nothing as Drake continued rambling on, "The eight of you should be ashamed of yourselves. Leona is not also the princess of what's left of Dinosaur Kingdom, but she is your leader and you let her do it?"
"We didn't have a choice," said Mack, "Our weapons are still in the repair shop… we didn't expect this to happen either. We didn't know she was going to turn into some mega-sized Tyrantrum!"
"And now let me tell you… Eterna PD is on the look out for this creature. Leona already tore into the homes and buildings, grabbing food and knocking people down. If the police find her before we do, they could kill her or she can kill them. She is on the shoot to kill list… and you should have stopped her," said Drake.
The rangers said nothing as lights appeared behind them. Jo and Lisa stepped down. Lisa looked up in disappointment as Drake said nothing. Joe turned around as he looked at Jo, "You did tell her not to do it?"
"But, you know she wouldn't take no for an answer," said Jo.
"But, nothing," Joe said, as he went to continue. But, then he stopped. He turned to Jo, "We were all in the wrong. And now, we need to work together to save her."
"Good," Drake said, turning to Joe. Joe looked over as Drake pressed his shoulder, "Starting today, you are now leader. Atticus!"
Atticus turned around as he went to speak, "Yes?"
"You are bumped to second in-command," said Drake, "Make sure the two of you work out a plan."
"But… it was my," Jo said, but Drake turned around as he looked at her. Drake walked over as he went to look at her, "I know what you're thinking. But, there's enough damage done. What I need you to do is help Joe find her and see if we can reverse what happened."
Jo nodded silently as Drake turned around to walk away. Joe turned around as he started to walk away. He reached for his hand as his energy crystal was caught. He grabbed his Fossil Blaster as he headed for the exit. Atticus turned to him, "We need a plan, Joe."
"I know…," Joe said, "Right now, I need to clear my mind. I wasn't expecting to be acting leader and no offense, Atticus, you should be leader."
"Wait, what?" asked Atticus.
"I am not fit to lead. I'm too much of a hot head. You have enough leadership experience to handle something like this," said Joe.
"But, you have more battle experience," Atticus replied, "I need you."
"Nope… I think you can do just fine," said Joe, pulling the trigger. Before what was said, a black aura surrounded Joe as he disappeared.
Meanwhile…
A man dressed in a red t-shirt with a red and white bathing suit was sitting on the beach deck as the boat was heading for the Sinnoh Region. As his glasses covered his black eyes, his black hair was blowing back and forth, now somewhat straight. The sun was warming his tan complexion as he was on his laptop, going through things he needed to do upon return. As he shifted his weight up, he pulled his glasses up to read what was going on. Apparently, it made national news. Rampaged Tyrantrum destroys Eterna and Celestic Town, stealing food and burning things down. He looked up as he turned to his phone, which had his colleague's message. He shook his head as he leaned back. He looked at his silver brace with a red gem on it… almost like a Jaw Fossil. He already knew what may have happened.
"I better get there fast," he said, knowing he was going to be there in about three hours after leaving Slateport City.
Later… off on Route 218…
Joe was sitting down on the edge of the pier, looking at the boats that were coming to Canalave City. As he placed his feet over the pier, he grabbed a few rocks and threw them across the river. His heart was sinking, and literally sinking after hearing what happened. It was now his responsibility to lead the team. This was something he honestly did not want to do. Part of it was because he saw what Leona did, what his friend did back in Hoenn and he knew that making tough calls was part of it. He just wasn't expecting it to happen now. Skidding rocks across, he was startled as a wild Gyarados managed to erupt from the river. Turning to the pier, he eyed Joe.
"Great… I wasn't expecting a Gyarados battle…," said Joe, picking up his Poké Ball. Gyarados opened its mouth as an explosion of water erupted from its mouth. As it did, Joe performed a shoulder roll as he dodged the attack, "Zebstrika, let's get him buddy!"
As the Poké Ball opened, Zebstrika emerged out of his Poké Ball. Zebstrika screamed as it darted its head at Gyarados. Gyarados roared as Zebstrika scoffed.
"Zebstrika, this should be a piece of cake… Use Thunderbolt!"
Yellow lightning formed from Zebstrika as a bolt emerged. Gyarados roared as its body was electrocuted in the water. Gyarados roared as a shockwave occurred in the area, creating a conductor for the water. Gyarados shook it off as it reached up and dove right for Zebstrika. Zebstrika dodged the attack as Gyarados headed back in the river. Joe knew this was no ordinary Gyarados. Zebstrika charged its feet as Joe turned around.
"Volt Tackle!" shouted Joe.
Zebstrika galloped through as a yellow bolt of lightning surrounded him. Jumping up, Zebstrika struck through as Gyarados was hit in the head. Gyarados screamed as it was electrocuted.
"Now, Stomp!"
Zebstrika's foot smacked Gyarados in the face. Gyarados roared as its body smacked into the pier. Gyarados started coughing as it was trying to get up. Joe grabbed an empty Poké Ball, "Poké Ball, go!"
Throwing the ball in the air, Gyarados was hit in the face as it opened. A red aura surrounded the wild Gyarados as it was caught in the ball. The ball closed as it landed on the pier. The ball was wiggling back and forth as Joe watched. Joe gulped, wondering if catching Gyarados would be a smart idea. But, he also knew being a trainer would require a lot of diversity in his Pokémon types. After two minutes of wiggling back and forth, the ball stayed still, clicking. A blue aura surrounded it as Joe picked it up. Joe took a deep breath as he placed the Poké Ball on his belt.
"Well… that was successfully done," a voice said behind him. Joe turned around as he noticed Lisa with her Scyther behind, "We were a little worried about what Gyarados was going to do… but it looks like you handled it well."
The black ranger shrugged as he turned to Lisa, "I wasn't expecting that to happen. Just trying to figure things out."
"Ah… so it's the leader thing that is throwing you off," said Lisa, crossing her arms. Joe nodded slowly as Lisa turned to him. Lisa stepped forward as she walked toward Joe, "Honestly, Joe… I think you can do this."
Joe looked at Lisa, "But-."
"Joe, I think with what you've been through. I think we all can put our faith in you. After all, it's only temporary until Leona comes back," Lisa added. Joe's grin started to expand as he went to speak. Before he could, he heard some familiar beeping noises from his Dino Com. As he did, he pressed the button.
"What's up?" asked Joe.
"We found Leona… she managed to get to Canalave City after she scared tourists," said Jo, over the intercom, "But, there's a catch… Demongun and Turnchou are having a blast."
Joe turned to Lisa as Joe went to speak, "Get the rest."
"You think Leona is going to be okay?" asked Lisa.
Joe sighed as he took out his Cyclizar charger, "There's only one way to find out."
A few minutes later…
Turnchou and Demongun were walking down the streets of Canalave City, shooting down homes. People were screaming as they were evacuating town, either by boat or swimming with Pokémon. Demongun laughed as he looked over with his gun, shooting things down. As he did, he continued to laugh even more. As he did, he turned around as he looked at the steak kiosk in town. He turned to see a flash of red as it was revealed. Leona arrived to look at the steaks. Pulling the trigger, red explosions appeared as the kiosk exploded. Leona snarled as she looked at him.
"What do you want? Are you hungry? Allow me to end you!" he shouted.
Leona jumped up as she screamed. The helmet began to glow as jaws appeared. The jaws bit into Demongun. Demongun yelled as he tried to get her off. Turnchou tried to grab her, only for the tail to knock him down. As the scuffle continued, Joe and the other rangers stopped running, only to see the battle occur.
"It looks like Leona is doing something," said Lisa.
"Get your friend off of me!" shouted Demongun.
Joe shook his head, "Not a chance. You obviously upset her,… so that means you get what you deserved. At least she has a heart, unlike you."
Demongun withdrew his gun and pulled the trigger. The rangers dodged as they missed. Joe turned around as he noticed Kyland and Thomas. Leona, roaring turned around as she started dashing north of the battlefield, screaming, "Kyland, Thomas… now would be a good time to figure out how to get Leona back."
"We're on it," said Kyland.
"Everyone else… Let's Poké Battle!"
Grayson, Atticus, Lisa and Mack stood with Joe as they pressed their Fossil Chargers, "Fossil Chargers, Energize!"
Pressing the chargers, the rangers' energy crystals began to glow as energy transferred to the charger. The five rangers did a dance as they spun around, placing the chargers in the blasters. Mack placed his charger in his morpher.
Fossil Chargers, Energize!
Spinning the blasters, the other rangers struck them up in the air while Mack had his morpher straight forward, "Unleash the Power!"
Flashes of black, blue, green, pink and gold surrounded them as their suits appeared.
"Dino Armor, Engage!"
As they glided their blasters, the four rangers unleashed their weaponry. Mack withdrew his Golden Amber Saber. Demongun laughed as he released flames from his weapon. Explosions were unleashed as the rangers scattered. Mack used his Golden Amber Saber as he flew across, holding on to his saber. He went to slash Turnchou and Demongun. Demongun grabbed him by the neck and threw him down to the ground. Demongun raised his foot to smash Mack's face, only for Mack to block with his saber. As that was going on, Joe stretched out his Armaldo Blaster. Placing the Fossil Charger, a black surge of energy surrounded it.
"Take this!" shouted Joe.
A black blast of energy was relinquished from his blaster, spinning through toward Demongun's chest. Demongun quickly pressed a white button on his gun as he pulled the trigger. A red beam of energy destroyed the surge. The black surge exploded. Joe froze as Demongun pulled the trigger on Mack, causing Mack to lose focus as he was hit. Demongun slammed his foot into his helmet, cracking it.
"Mack!" shouted Lisa.
Turnchou laughed as Demongun's eyes began to glow. His eyes were red, full of anger as he released a flame attack. Mack yelled as he fell back. Rolling across, his helmet fell to the ground. Weakening, he had some burns on his face as he had his saber in hand. Lisa rushed over as Demongun went to shoot him down. Lisa took out a blue Fossil Charger and, pressing it and placing it in the blaster.
"Water Pulse, energize!"
A blast of water emerged from her blaster, aiming directly for Demongun. Demongun released another blast, destroying it. Lisa turned around as Demongun jumped over. Lisa noticed that Demongun was not just a sharpshooter as he pressed a green button on the gun. The white gun transformed into a white and red saber. Lisa blocked it with the Bastiodon Drill. The two of them were fighting head-to-head with their weapons. As Lisa went into charge, Demongun went in for the strike. As Lisa blocked it, Mack jumped up as he slashed Demongun in the stomach. Demongun turned around as Mack went to stab him. As he went to stab, Demongun laughed as he looked at him. Mack turned around as he saw that his body was so intense with heat, his weapon was drooping in sludge… melting it.
"Take this, you two!"
Slashing both of them, the two rangers landed on the ground.
Atticus and Grayson went after Turnchou as Turnchou went to use his magnet blaster. Blue beams struck both of them as they stumbled. Atticus jumped up as he grabbed his Carracosta Shield, swinging it across. As the shield was spinning, Turnchou grinned as he quickly turned to his blue magnet blaster, turning the red dial. As he pulled the trigger, a green net surrounded it as the shield was drawn toward the gun. Turnchou grinned as he pulled the trigger, releasing it. Atticus watched as the shield went toward him. The shield's speed was so intense that Atticus was thrown to the ground. Atticus coughed as he looked up, turning to Grayson. Grayson turned around as he grabbed his Fossil Saber going to slash Turnchou. Turnchou laughed as he did the same thing, this time though dragging Grayson toward him. Turnchou laughed as he looked at him, "I had to chance to modify since the last time we met."
"I can see that… but you forgot one thing," said Grayson, "I have more than one weapon."
Using the Kabutops Slasher, Turnchou grinned as he blocked it. Grayson stood aghast as he pulled the trigger. Turnchou laughed as green and white pulses were released. Grayson blocked with his weapon. Immediately, Turnchou went to strike as Grayson landed on the ground. Atticus and Grayson nodded as they pressed their Fossil Chargers, placing them in their weapons.
"Fossil Strike!"
Atticus released his shield while Grayson used his Kabutops Slasher. Blue and green lines were heading straight toward Turnchou. Turnchou laughed as he turned the dial, sucking up the energy from both weapons, including Atticus's Carracosta Shield. Pressing the button, the energy was released, striking both rangers. The two rangers landed on the ground, knocking Mack and Lisa with Joe. Demongun and Turnchou laughed as they looked at each other.
"It seems that they have stepped it up a notch," said Atticus.
"Well, we can do the same thing," said Joe, grabbing the Relic Claws charger, "Let's do it! Relic Claws, Energize!"
Pressing the button, he placed it in his Fossil Blaster. His orange claws formed from both hands as he stood ready to strike. Throwing the Armaldo Blaster, Atticus caught it as he turned to the others, "Let's combine! Quadruple Spiker!"
Throwing the weapons, almost like the Dino Spiker, all four weapons combined into one. Atticus grabbed it as he landed on the ground with it. Nodding, Joe turned around as both rangers looked at Demongun and Turnchou.
"This should be fun!" said Demongun.
"Spiker Strike!"
"Crush Claw!"
Pink, green, blue and black energy surrounded the weapon as Atticus pulled the trigger. A blast of energy started spinning around. A black rush of energy surrounded Joe as he combined with it. As the energy was combined, Demongun laughed as he raised his saber, aiming the point of contact. An explosion occurred as the rangers watched what was going on. The smoke started to clear as Joe collapsed. Demongun knew exactly the point of contact. He knew that Joe was carrying all of the energy. Joe had a line down his chest as his uniform disappeared. Landing on the ground, Joe smacked his head on the pavement.
"JOE!"
As the rangers rushed over, Joe looked up as he looked down, "Well, this is a sight…"
"Hahahaha… you see rangers, without your friend… you pretty much are doomed," said Demongun, pulling his saber, "And now… who's next?"
Suddenly, violet beams struck the area. As the rangers covered Joe, beams struck Demongun as he turned around, noticing a gigantic Aurorus overhead.
"Jo…," said Joe, cringing, as he closed his eyes. Atticus turned down, "Buddy, come on! Stay with us…."
Suddenly, the ground started shaking as the rangers looked up. Demongun laughed as he noticed a gigantic Armaldo standing over them. Demongun laughed even more as he grabbed his red smartwatch, "Alright… let's play."
Pressing the M on his smartwatch, a green beam struck from the sky as Demongun grew ten times bigger. He walked over toward Armaldo, "So, you must be Joe's zord… You're going down…"
As he transformed his weapon into a gun, he went to strike. Armaldo jumped up as it pushed Demongun. Armaldo's tail swung across, knocking Demongun off balance. Armaldo raised its claw, slashing him. Demongun laughed as he looked at him. Aurorus released a rainbow beam of energy, but the ice power melted upon contact.
Demongun laughed as he looked at them, "You need to better than that."
Jo turned around as she looked at her cockpit, "Don't worry… we're just getting…"
She turned around as the door opened. Joe stumbled into the cockpit as he walked inside. Jo managed to teleport them into Aurorus while the battle was taking place, but knowing Joe wasn't going to sit, he walked toward the cockpit.
"Joe, what are you doing?" asked Jo.
"Simple, fighting," said Joe.
"But, you are in no condition to fight," said Jo, looking at the severe injury, "You'll bleed everywhere…"
Joe put his hands on Jo's shoulder, "I'm not here to mend my wounds right now. Armaldo, let's combine!"
Armaldo turned around, nodding its head as Joe threw his charger out. The black Fossil Charger began to glow as Armaldo opened its mouth. Black energy surrounded it as Jo turned around.
"Aurora Change! Rocket Charge Megazord!"
A violet aura surrounded Aurorus as the zord began to roar. The tail of Aurorus detached as the legs began to shrink. The bottom half of the Aurorus Zord began to lower, revealing metallic legs and feet. The Aurous head moved to the front of the zord. The upper legs rotated to become arms. Silver and violet fests were generated from Aurorus as the tail connected to the left arm. A bluish-purplish head appeared with green eyes as a rainbow like aura surrounded the back of the Megazord.
"Rocket Charge Megazord, battle ready!"
"Fossil Fusion!" Joe shouted.
Armaldo jumped up in the air, transforming into an arm as its shrunk its legs and arms. The right side of Aurorus began to glow as Armaldo's body was replaced.
"Rocket Shotgun Megazord!"
Demongun released beams of energy. The Rocket Shotgun Megazord released a spray of energy beams. Demongun dodged each bullet. He then turned around as he dashed forward his sword, "Take this!"
The sword charged in, only for the left arm to block it. Black bullets struck Demongun as he stumbled back, but not hit.
"Now…. The finisher!" shouted Joe.
Demongun laughed as he turned around. As he went to strike, he began to twitch. As he felt pain throbbing, he placed his hand on his head, "Ugh…"
Turnchou looked down, "Uh oh… let's go!"
Demongun nodded as he turned around. Violet and black energy surrounded the zords as they aimed at Demongun.
"Double Cannon Fire!"
Black and violet beams struck out as it combined into one beam of energy. Demongun turned around as he took his sword and struck the blast. The blast split in two, destroying the buildings on either side of Canalave City.
"I'll be back…," said Demongun, stretching his saber, "Don't think this is the last you'll see me."
As a red aura surrounded him, Turnchou followed suit. Joe cringed as he collapsed on the ground. Jo, unmorphing, rushed over, "Joe? Joe!"
Dino Paradise…
"Joe?"
Joe's eyes opened up as he was laying on the table. He had a white bandage down his chest as he looked up, noticing the other rangers around him with Drake over him. Joe put his head down on the stone table, clenching his fist. As he carefully got up, feeling the pain, Jo grabbed him from not getting up quickly. Joe looked at her as he swung his legs over onto the floor. Mack looked at him as he turned to him, "It's going to be okay."
Joe threw a punch at the rock wall, "Going to be okay? Speak for yourself!"
Mack turned around as he looked at him, "Joe… take it easy. We'll find Leona and we'll get Demongun."
"Yeah… oh sure," said Joe, "After what he pulled. Kyland and Thomas, were you able to find her?"
"No," said Kyland and Thomas, "She came and left."
"Damn it!" shouted Joe.
For Joe, this was a serious blow. He was hoping to find Leona and hopefully fix what was going on. Joe turned around as he looked at the team.
"This sucks," said Joe, "I can see why we need Leona for this to work. Even with our weapons, we still are not powerful enough."
"Yep," said Lisa, "And Demongun is a spitfire… Mack's saber melted."
"That's going to take some time to rebuild," said Jo, "I just started working on the structure."
Grayson turned around as he looked at the black ranger, "Who knew that we would be fighting three tough villains?"
Atticus sighed as he turned to the others, "I am not giving up until we find her! We need her back and there has to be a way. Jo, can you find her?"
"I've been tracking her," Jo said, "Thank Arceus she didn't damage the locating device in her suit."
"So… let me get this straight," Kyland said, "The charger we fused with Alex's DNA was used and now… Leona is running rampant?"
"And she has no recollection that she is a human, but a Tyrantrum?" asked Thomas.
Jo nodded slowly, "I don't know how it could have happened."
Joe turned around as he looked at her. She turned to him in anger as she went to her laptop. As she went to speak, she footsteps on the floor. Jo turned around as she saw Drake, who stood there silently. Next to Drake, a familiar face appeared with his backpack behind him. Jo froze as she looked at him. He placed his backpack on the table and stared at Jo. This familiar face had black hair that was shorter than it was before with black eyes and a tan skin complexion. This time, he wore a red t-shirt with blue jeans and white sneakers. His eyes were giving Jo the death glare as Jo stumbled to say something.
"Alex… hi," said Jo.
Alex stood there, shaking his head, "I knew something was up… where is she?"
The Dino Charge Rangers looked at him as Joe went to speak, "Not here. She's basically a humanoid Tyrantrum."
Alex took a deep breath as he looked at Jo. In his old days as a ranger, Alex would be all hot-headed and go in for it. This time, he had a different approach. He looked at Joe as he crossed his arms, "Are you second-in command?"
"Yes sir," said Joe.
"Before we get to questions, who are you?" asked Lisa, looking at him. Joe took a deep breath as he looked at him, "I wish I knew. How did you find us?"
"That is not important. But, here's what I can tell you right now. My name is Alex Jenkovich. I am the one who donated my powers to help Leona use the charger. I am the Red Dino Ranger of Poké Rangers Dino Thunder back in Hoenn… and if I were you, I would start looking for her now."
Meanwhile…
Outside, Leona was swinging through trees as she landed on bushes outside Twinleaf Town. Looking up at the full moon that was shining, the helmet began to roar as Leona screamed as if she was a Tyrantrum, ready to cause rampage in the town. Turning around, she was heading toward an empty home. It was somewhat abandoned, but it had running electricity. The smell of food, the smell of survival, that's all she could think about right now as she headed toward the front door…

Poké Rangers Dino Charge Chapter 29: Roar of the Red Ranger Part 2
A/N: Talk about an interesting cliffhanger. So, Leona uses Pre-Earth and Energy Crystal power, which causes her to transform into a Tyrantrum with the power. This gets brutal and ugly pretty quickly and I decided to bring Alex back from the Hoenn saga because I think he would be a great asset to find Leona with his experience.
Also, Happy New Year and first update in 2024. Usually, I update on Fridays and not on Tuesday, but with things returning to "normal" starting tomorrow and I have something to attend to Friday night, that's why it is being updated today. :)
Time Force Submissions: Due to the timeline and responses, I gave everybody until today to submit their characters, if they were interested in creating a character for this fanfic. As of today, the villains and characters forms are closed. You will not be able to submit your responses. By Saturday, I will probably will have my core team and my villains to start pre-production. So, if you waited until now, I am sorry but these forms were up since November 15th.
