Caught in A Tangled Deal!

Sora, Donald, Goofy, and Momo were now walking through a beautiful wide green forest. Birds were singing, flowers were in bloom, and the sun was shining down on the world below. Momo looked up to the sky through the leaves of overarching trees with a smile, bringing a hand up to adjust the sun glare hitting her eyes

"What a lovely day today." she was feeling happy for the plant-life around her getting more than enough needed sunlight.

Sora stretched his arms up as he walked, and put his hands behind his head in his usual fashion "Yeah, the weather's great. It'd be perfect for a picnic."

"So do you think Momo's friends could be in this World?" Donald asked the rest of the team.

Goofy turned his head to his long-time duck friend "Well, we won't know for sure until we look." he remained ever the optimist.

Donald sighed, wishing they had more to go on rather than just blindly searching World to World "Okay. As long as there's no Heartless-"

"Ahhhhh!"

As if on cue, they heard the yelling of a man. The quartet looked all around themselves as the screams got closer until they heard something tumble and land behind them. They turned to the noise and found a man rubbing his backside. He was a man with a thin yet somewhat muscular build, lightly tanned skin, short dark nicely combed brown hair that parted at the front, a goatee, and light brown eyes. He was wearing a dark turquoise vest with a white long-sleeved shirt underneath, coupled with brown pants and brown bucket-top boots. Around his waist was a belt of a similar color connecting to a satchel.

The man looked up to the small cliff he fell from and groaned in anticipation as these strange shadow monsters jumped down after him.

"Heartless!" Goofy shouted as the man resumed his running in the direction of the quartet.

"Make way! Make way! Make way!" The man waved his arm in front as the four gave him the space to run past them. Sora summoned his Keyblade with a new Keychain given to him by Mike & Sully, changing the blade's appearance. The Keyblade now had a more intricate design that was reminiscent of the Monster's Inc. doors and tools. The Keychain itself was a simle black string attached to a token that gave Sully nostalgia.

The Keybearer got ready to fight the Heartless along with the rest of his team. While there were some Shadows, a few new type of small red-hat wearing Heartless equipped with a bow and arrows were among them. The man hid behind a large boulder near the group, panting from the run for a while before he peaked out from where he was, studying the group who were strangely unafraid of these monsters he'd never seen in his life.

"You see? Soon as you mention 'em, they show up!" Sora accused Donald of jinxing themselves, but the duck quacked in indignation

"Wak! I didn't do it!"

"Well, so much for that picnic." commented Goofy.

"It's okay!" Sora returned to his cheerful self with a grin "Let's send these guys packing."

The man behind the boulder smiled "Say, since you four seem to know what your doing, mind if I leave this one to you?"

"Yup." chipped Sora "We'll take care of 'em. Go on, skedaddle!"

"You have my thanks!" The man turned away from the group and continued to talk to himself. "Phew! The Guards and the Horse were enough. Don't need any monsters on my tail."

"The whats were enough?" Momo asked with hardened tone, managing to somewhat catch what the now suspicious man was saying.

He flinched in place at Momo's voice, but he peaked out from the boulder again "Oh nothing!" he brushed off and went to introduce himself "Names Flynn; Flynn Rider."

Flynn saw Momo's glare and pointed beyond her "Oh watch out Pinky! They look mad!"

Momo turned away from Flynn just in time to dodge an arrow fired at her by one of the hatted Heartless and refocused herself on the battle. While they were busy fighting, Flynn started sneaking away...

"Slowly...Slowly..." he repeated with each tiptoe before he suddenly broke into another sprint!

"Outta Here!"

Flynn ran as fast as he could! Far away from the ensuing battle. During his run he looked back and his jaw dropped, flabbergasted to see fireballs, icicles and..where those flower cannons?!

"Doaah!" he then tripped over a rock and rolled right through some green foliage into a rather unexpected hidden cave. Flynn groaned as he picked himself off the floor and slowly studied the area before turning around and realizing what had happened. Considering how many people and monsters he was being chased by (not to mention a rather persistent Horse), he hurriedly jogged further through the cave, thinking this was the best solution for himself. He quickly saw a light at the end of this grotto and rushed out. Once outside, Flynn came to a stop and stared in silent awe at what he was now witnessing.

He was standing in a open area that was filled with greenery. Mountains prevented this area from being discovered unless you came through the hidden grotto Flynn arrived from or saw it from the Sky. A waterfall came from the top of these mountains, creating a large healthy pond and stream. But that's not what Flynn Rider's eyes were captured by the most. No, what captured his attention was the tall tower that stood in the middle of this hidden away area. At the top of this tower seemed to be a chamber with a blue pointed rooftop...a perfect place to hide!

Flynn rushed to the tower and took out two just-in-case spare arrows from his Satchel and stuck them into the tower, using them as leverage to scale up. He climbed and climbed, getting to the open window and dropping himself in the dark room. He quickly shut the window closed by its two wooden doors and leaned on the nearby wall, panting from all the running and climbing he had done. When he had relaxed enough, he opened his satchel and lovingly gazed at the tiara inside. Sure it was the main reason he was on the run, considering he stole it from the Kingdom. But it all appeared to be worth it...

"Alone at last." he flirted-

*CLONK!*

Kingdom of Corona - The Forest (Hills)

"Flynn couldn't have come this way." Donald spoke out loud, searching the area. Sora and his team had long defeated the Heartless and were concerned about Flynn's safety and where he could've gone. But alas, they saw no sign of him...

Sora walked forward, closer to the 'inconspicuous' rockface with just-as 'inconspicuous' foliage hanging off it and released a breath. He turned on his heel and brought his hands behind his head.

"Well, at least he got away safe." He leaned back "Right?-Woah!" and he fell through the foliage!

"Eh?" Momo stopped her search and looked in the direction where she just heard Sora's voice. She walked passed Donald and Goofy; who had just noticed themselves that Sora was missing.

Momo gave the foliage a once over and smiled "Sorry, but you can't fool me~" she reached out and used her arm to push the foliage out of the way like a curtain, revealing Sora and a hidden grotto!

"It's a secret passage guys!" he relayed to the rest before he rushed further ahead with Donald and Goofy close behind, eager to see where this passage lead.

Meanwhile, Momo still had her arm over the foliage "Another man tumbled in here, you say..." she mumbled.

Kingdom of Corona - The Forest (Hidden Tower)

"Eyaugh!"

Flynn snapped awake at a cold slimy feeling in his ear. His eyes darted around the now lit room, realizing he was sitting upright in a chair. He tried to move but found that he was all tangled up in...

"Is this...hair?" Indeed, Long and I mean LONG golden blonde hair is what kept him from escaping. He followed the trail of hair with his eyes, noticing that it ended up near the ceiling, where he could see a silhouette...

"Struggling is...S-Struggling is pointless!" Flynn heard a female's voice hesitate from where the hair ended and where the silhouette was. His face cringed in confusion as he saw the silhouette climb down to floor level.

"I know why you're h-here!" the figure shouted, voice quivering through her tough act "And...I'm not...afraid of you!"

Flynn shook his head, still confused "What?"

The figure slowly came into the light armed with a frying pan and revealed that she was indeed a young woman. A young woman of slender frame with fair skin, rosy cheeks, large light-green eyes, brown eyelashes and eyebrows, and light freckles near her nose. She was wearing a detailed purple dress with pink accents, The dress itself consisted of a lavender corset top that was laced with a pink ribbon. The skirt of the dress was purple and decorated with various swirling and floral designs in pink, dark purple, and white. The skirt's hemline went well below her calves and ended above her ankles. The top of her sleeves were short, puffy, and striped with pink and lavender; while the rest was long and light baby pink with white laces at the hems.

She also happened to be the owner of the long long blonde hair that Flynn was currently trapped in...

"Who are you? And how did you find me?" the girl questioned, cautiously raising her frying pan and coming closer to this stranger who intruded in her...apparent home?

"Aha..." Flynn let out in a bit of a daze. Looking at the frying pan, he was now aware of why he lost consciousness and why there was still a dull pain in the back of his head. But that didn't matter to him...

"Who are you? And how did you find me?" she repeated her question with a bit more force, raising the cooking utensil in her hands just a little higher.

There was a pause before Flynn cleared his throat and started to speak in a sophisticated manner. "I know not who you are, nor how I came to find you. But may I just say..." he lowered his head and closed his eyes for a bit...

and gave the girl the most charming smile, dropping the sophisticated act "Hi."

The girl's eyebrows twitched at the tone shift.

"How ya doing?" he continued to try to flirt his way out "The name's Flynn Rider. How's your day going?"

The blonde girl's eyes darted to the side for a moment before she scoffed and pointed her Frying Pan to the stranger's face in a threatening manner.

"Who else knows my location, Flynn Rider?" she asked with a hard tone.

"Alright Blondie-" he now dropped his charming act.

"Rapunzel." The girl interrupted, giving her name with emphasis.

"Gesundheit. Here's the deal; I was in a situation, gallivanting through the forest. and-" Flynn gasped suddenly thinking about something. "Oh...Oh no!" he turned his head, looking all over the room "Nonononono! Where is my Satchel?!"

Rapunzel crossed her arms "I've hidden it, somewhere you'll never find it." she told him with confidence. She started to prowl around the trapped Flynn Rider "So what do you want with my hair?" She demanded to know "To cut it?"

Flynn shook his head "Wha?!"

"Sell it?" she pointed the Frying Pan at Flynn once again.

"Nooooo!" he denied, unaware of why she would suggest such a thing "The only thing I want to do with your hair is get out of it! Literally!" he motioned to the mass amounts of hair he was wrapped in.

"Wait..." Rapunzel was taken aback "You don't want my hair?"

"Why on Earth would I want your hair?" This was getting odder and odder to Flynn the more this situation went on as he decided to give her the short version of his recent turn of events "Look I was being chased, I saw your tower, and then I climbed it. End of story."

"Your telling the truth?" she asked, still keeping her Frying Pan on him.

"Yes!"

"Hmm..." Rapunzel side-eyed the man known as Flynn Rider, when a Chameleon suddenly appeared on her shoulder. It quickly raced down her arm and to the top of the Frying Pan, staring down Flynn as he stared back with wide eyes. The chameleon made a 'Pull back' motion with his tail, briefly turning to its owner and immediately snapping back to Flynn while Rapunzel pulled her Frying Pan back, starting to speak to the Chameleon known to her as Pascal in private.

"I know, I need someone to take me." she whispered. Pascal made various squeaking noises and Rapunzel responded back "I think he's telling the truth too."

Flynn blinked several times and leaned left while still in the chair, processing and observing that this girl was actually talking to a Chameleon. He struggled in the hair binds, trying to make a break for it from this girl who clearly wasn't 'all there' in her head, but it was no use.

"Doesn't have fangs." she shrugged, but more squeaks from Pascal caused Rapunzel to respond "But what choice do I have?" she sighed, bringing her back up straight.

"Okay, Flynn Rider." Rapunzel began, setting the Chameleon on her shoulder "I'm prepared to offer you a deal." she grabbed and pulled her long hair that kept Flynn trapped, dragging him and the chair he was in along the floor as she walked up to a red curtain that was above the nearby fireplace.

"Deal?" he responded in a 'You can't be serious' tone before the chair tipped and fell to the floor along with him as a result of Rapunzel's dragging.

"Do you know what these are?" she pulled the curtain away, revealing a painting of what looked like lights in the night sky above the earth.

"You mean the lantern thing they do for the Princess?" Flynn assumed with a rather congested tone as his nose was pressed onto the floor.

"Lanterns...I knew they weren't stars." mumbled Rapunzel before getting herself back on track. "Well, tomorrow evening they will light the night sky with these 'Lanterns'." she pointed her Frying Pan at the face down Flynn Rider "You will act as my guide. Take me to see these Lanterns and return me home safely. Then, and only then, I will return your Satchel to you. That is my deal."

"Yeah-no can do." he forced himself and the chair onto their left side, landing with a *thud*. "Unfortunately, the Kingdom and I are not exactly 'simpatico' at the moment. So I won't be taking you anywhere."

Rapunzel hesitated, glancing at Pascal on her shoulder; who was giving her a signal to use a bit more aggression. She nodded and jumped down to the floor.

"Something brought you here, Flynn Rider." she spoke while pulling her hair to set Flynn upright again. "Call it whatever you will; fate or destiny. But I have made the decision to trust you."

"A horrible decision really." he quickly quipped with a bored deadpanned expression.

Rapunzel got closer to Flynn "I am serious!" and pulled her hair so the chair and Flynn fell in her direction, bringing him close to her as she used her right arm to keep the chair steady.

"Let me get this straight. I take you to see the Lanterns, bring you back home afterward, then you'll give me back my Satchel?" he asked.

Rapunzel nodded "I promise."

Flynn gave the girl a blunt look that said he was unconvinced.

"And when I promise something, I never, ever break that promise." she looked him in the eye, un-moving as Flynn raised his eyebrow "Ever."

Flynn continued staring at Rapunzel for a while before breaking away, thinking to himself. 'Oh what to do? I cannot let her find that Tiara.' he slightly shook his head 'Okay just think, I need that Satchel and blondie here has it. But it's dangerous, there might be more of those monsters out there...' he thought back to those monsters of darkness; the 'Heartless' as those strangers called them-

'Wait that's it!' he came to a conclusion 'Those four in the funny outfits with the crazy powers! They may come in handy...'

He nodded "Alright fine, I'll take you." and he vocally agreed. But-

"On one condition; my sidekicks come along."

Kingdom of Corona - The Forest (Outside Hidden Tower)

"Look at that! A tower!"

Sora was mystified at the tall tower he and his friends were seeing. He took an excited breath, turning to the others. "Let's check it out!" and ran off to the tower with the rest following close behind him.

"Wonder who put this tower here." mused Goofy

"We'll find out soon enough." Momo replied 'This must've been hidden for a reason.'

They got closer to the tower and noticed the man from before; Flynn Rider, climbing down, taking a momentary pause to catch his breath. That was when long golden blonde hair came out and down from the open window of the chamber at the top, much to the surprise of Sora's group.

'It can't be...Yami-san?' just for a moment, Momo thought the owner of the long hair belonged to her missing companion, until she saw a different girl in a purple dress come sliding down by using her own hair as rope. The girl stopped her sliding just before she reached the ground, looking at the blades of grass below; the blades of grass she's only seen from inside her tower, with wide eyes. She hesitantly lowered one bare foot onto the greenery, getting a feel of it and then lowered her other bare foot. The girl known as Rapunzel crouched down to the grass, noting-

"It's so soft." in gentle amazement. A gust of wind suddenly blew across the field picking up an carrying dandelions with it, catching Rapunzel's attention.

"I'm free! I'm really free!" she cheered as she started running in the field, doing all the things she's never done before, completely ignoring Sora and his group. Momo watched the happy girl for a bit before she giggled at her thought from just a moment ago. The visualization of Yami; Golden Darkness, being dressed as a Princess and held in a Tower, waiting for her Prince to come rescue her from the clutches of a evil king, was very amusing.

No doubts as to who the Prince would be in that scenario...

"Flynn, good to see you in one piece!" Meanwhile Sora greeted Flynn as he, Donald, and Goofy ran up to the man, who had just finished climbing down the tall tower.

"Huh?" the rogue turned his head and smiled upon seeing who called out to him "Guys! You're here!" he walked up to them "and just in time!"

Donald softly quacked in confusion while Sora and Goofy gave Flynn just as confused looks. Their attention was broken by the sounds of the girl they don't know playing in the shallow pond right by them.

"Who is she?" Momo asked with a smile, now walking closer to the group of boys while keeping her eyes on the new blonde haired girl.

"Uh, that would be Rapunzel." Flynn told them her name, also turning his head in the same direction.

"WOO-HOOOO!" Rapunzel happily yelled, splashing water up above herself.

"Something tells me this could be her first time outdoors. Give her a few minutes to get used to it."

Sora's eyes went wide "First time ever?"

"I can't believe I did this!" Rapunzel shouted with glee. However-

"I can't believe I did this." she repeated, now with a more concerned tone. But-

"I can't believe I did this!" she went right back to being gleeful. Although-

"Mother would be so furious if she knew I disobeyed her and left the tower..." she worried.

It was obvious that she was feeling mixed about this...and would continue to do so for some time...

(Later) - "But that's okay! I mean, what she doesn't know won't kill her...right?"

(More Later) - "Oh my gosh. This would kill her..."

(Much More Later) - "This is so fuuuuuunnnnn!"

(Even Much More Later) - "I am a horrible daughter...I'm going back."

(So Much More Later) - "I am never going back!"

(So Much More Later Still) - "I'm a despicable human being!"

(Whatever is beyond 'So Much More Later Still') - "BEST! DAY! EVER!"

(Uhh...)

Kingdom of Corona - The Forest (Hills)

Eventually, Rapunzel was sitting at the base of a large tree, head in her hands, quietly sobbing her eyes out. The rest of the group all looked to each other worriedly for the girl as Flynn walked to where she was.

"I notice you seem a little...at war with yourself here." he put it as gently as he could.

"A little more than a little." Goofy commented.

"More like a lot." as did Donald.

Sora chuckled awkwardly "Yeah..."

"Boys, I don't think your added comments are helping." Momo softly reprimanded the three next to her.

Rapunzel slowly looked up to the new voices and gasped, taking out her weapon of choice; her frying pan from earlier.

"Stop right there! Who are you!" the blonde demanded to know.

Flynn quickly leaned between her and Sora's group "I told you before: my sidekicks."

Sora and Momo both gave the rogue a quizzical look "Sidekicks?"

"May I introduce...ehhhh..." Flynn trailed off, making a motion for the quartet to give their names.

"Oh! My name's Sora." the keyblade wielder introduced himself, going along with it for now.

"Donald!"

"Goofy, pleasure ma'am."

"and I'm Momo." the pinkette smiled and bowed "It's nice to meet you."

"Sora, Donald, Goofy, and Momo?" Rapunzel looked between them as she called out their names, with Pascal coming out and now resting on her shoulder. She relaxed and withdrew her frying pan. "It's nice to meet you too. I'm Rapunzel."

"Yup, my sidekicks." Flynn repeated with a prideful tone before Sora grabbed him by the arm and spun him around to face them closely.

"Since when is that?" he whispered his question a bit harshly.

"Look, she really wants to see the Kingdom's lantern show tomorrow night." Flynn started to explain the situation to the four with a hushed whisper of his own "Now, I'm a nice guy, so I've decided to help her. Only problem is those monsters from before might show up again. I can get her to the Kingdom, but you guys are clearly more cut out for combat."

"That's cause we're heroes!" cheerfully shouted Donald.

Goofy nodded with confidence"And we're Heartless experts."

Momo smiled "I may not be an expert on them compared to Sora, Donald, or Goofy, but I'm also capable when it comes to fighting."

And Sora pointed a thumb to himself "Yeah! Just leave it to us!"

Flynn gave the four double finger-guns "Done!" With that, Flynn escorted Rapunzel to the front along with himself as he started to lead them all, making their way to the Kingdom.

"Rapunzel is interesting..." Donald commented on the girl who was looking at the world around her with wide-eyed intrigue.

"Yeah." Goofy agreed "Her heart's pulling her all kindsa ways."

Sora came to a stop and folded his arms "The outside world must seem so big and scary. I know how she feels. Lucky for me, you two came along at just the right time; and the rest has been unforgettable..."

Momo sweetly smiled upon hearing Sora's wholesomeness towards Donald and Goofy; who were also visibly touched. There wasn't a doubt in her mind that he was referring to when he was on his own in Traverse Town for the first time on his first journey, as he explained in Yen Sid's tower. "How sweet..."

"Aww, Sora usually gets more mushy when there's a girl around." Donald casually exposed about Sora in a teasing manner.

She brought up a hand close to her lips "Oh is that right?" and lightly giggled, once again being reminded of a certain someone.

Sora released a breath and turned to the three with a embarrassed grin "Yup, unforgettable..."

He hurriedly leaned into Donald "Just like your face!~"

The duck blinked, slowly registering the grief Sora just gave him.

"Oh yeah?! Whaaak!" he raised his arms up and quacked in anger as Sora playfully ran off, back to where Rapunzel and Flynn were walking. Donald stood where he was, silently fuming with a ticked-off expression.

"A-hyuck!" Goofy laughed "C'mon."

Donald dropped his look and ran along with the others, getting closer to Sora just as he comfortably whispered to himself; grateful to have all his friends-

"All for One, and One for All."

No, your eyes do not deceive. For I have returned from the Abyss once more for the New Year! (Hopefully I don't get in trouble for using Tangled World's Official name, I'm just following KH3 Source Material! *Sweatdrop*)

I made a New Years Resolution this year that gets this story involved. Will I fulfill it? Or will it fall to the wayside? We will have to see.

Speaking of seeing, as you can see, there will be some additions from the movie added to the KH3 Tangled Plotline. I felt the World and it's Plotline was fine in the main game, barring a few holes that can be filled by some movie elements occurring (Even ones implied to happen off-script later; you'll see).

As for the whole story going forward, I will be focusing less on the intricacies of design descriptions unless it's either a "boss". Or it serves the story. A similar thing is something I plan to do with fights going forward as well. Unless its a "boss fight" or an important fight that serves the story/character in question.

I hope these changes will help me move forward with my story with more...liberating updates. As I am; for better and/or for worse, the only one working on this.
