Chapter 1: Witnesses and Roommates

The backseat of the car had never been so quiet before. Judging by the feint smell of cleaning supplies, the back seat went through a thorough cleaning last night. Shirou could vaguely recall spilling a drink back here last night, but he wasn't sure exactly what it was. The car appeared to be a black sedan with a divider between the front and back seats for privacy and the window appeared to be up. He couldn't see the butler through the tinted glass, but he was driving at a brisk pace.

His eyes drifted over to Lorelei and could noticed the mark of a hickey on her neck, just above the collarbone, slightly obscured by the collar of her button up blouse. She was also wearing matching black dress slacks and low heeled shoes. Her clothes were slightly ruffled, but were presentable enough to not tell what she had been up to last night. As his eyes reached her face, his eyes widened as his golden ambers met her chocolate browns before turning his head slightly away as to not make things awkward. Lorelei on her part, could see the lipstick stains on the neck of his shirt and there was faint signs of scratch marks on his arms and neck that could be seen.

"You know, you don't have to be shy around me, right? We are husband and wife after all." Her body language was serious, yet also relaxed. He could tell she was still studying him as he clasped his hands together, squeezing them together as he diverted his eyes to anything else, trying not to get flustered by her teasing. They eventually landed on her hand bag which was left zipped open, revealing a riding crop and whip. His cheeks began to burn hotter as events of last night came back to him slowly.

"Oh? Did my husband enjoy my performance that much last night?" She chuckled as she had followed his gaze to her handbag. Shirou could only nod his head in confirmation as he had remember enjoying what she did. He couldn't deny that he enjoyed it when she had taken control. "You know... I did enjoy when you had me against the wall. Where did you learn to use your tongue like that, Darling~?"

shirou could feel his cheeks burn hotter as his eyes shot back to hers, another tiny piece of the events had slowly made its way back to him. He could feel his eyes skip a beat at that teasing grin she wore. "Did you think I wouldn't notice? That impressive stamina of yours. Though I can't help but wonder about something." Her face returned to a neutral expression for a moment before pursing her lips. "Was I your first?"

Before Shirou could answer any of her teasing questions, a ringing sound in an eight bit ring tone could be heard coming from Shirou's phone to the rhythm of Bink's saki. Both occupants in the back of the sedan paused as Lorelei gave Shirou a confused and annoyed expression as Shirou awkwardly pulled out his phone and brought it his ear, half thankful for the needed distraction and shivering slightly as Lorelei raised an eyebrow as frow overtook her teasing expression from before.

"Hello?" Was all he could out before a familiar, yet loud voice could be heard over the phone speaker. He felt a slight feeling of panic overtake him as he watched Lorelei dig herself into the corner of her seat and crossed her arms and her legs.

"Shiiiiiirrrrrrroooouuuuu!" The very voice of one Taiga Fujimura caused him to flinch and jump in his seat at the sheer loudness of it. Lorelei look at him with wide eyes, riddled with new curiosity and a little more annoyance than when his phone began to ring. Shirou brought his other hand to the receiver to try and muffle the sound of taiga's voice from the other end. Judging by the sounds on the other end of the line, Taiga was weaving through traffic on her vespa.

"T-Taiga... a-are you driving while on the phone? More importantly, c-can I call you back? I'm in the middle of something important here..." Shirou quietly whispered into the phone, glancing over at Lorelei who's eyes were locked on him with a blank expression on her face. This could go from bad to worse and Taiga just had to pick the worst possible time to call. Taiga on the other hand, had other plans.

"But Shirou, you haven't called in forever! Today was horrible as my students kept on calling me Tiger all day long and my work load kept piling up!"

Lorelei on the other hand was slightly panicking on the inside as she slowly scooted closer towards Shirou ever so slowly. She raised a single hand to her lips and bit softly down on the tip of her thumb.a myriad of thoughts had been racing through her head.

'Oh... he's talking to another woman... and her name is Taiga...' She looked down at her feet, biting her thumb a little harder. 'Is it his girlfriend? It's got to be his girlfriend. No way he was single before I came along. Am I home wrecker? No... no... I gotta to be a home wrecker. Here I am, married to a taken man.'

"Anyways Shirou, when are you going to come back? I miss your cooking so much! I can practically taste all the new recipes that you've picked up over there in London."

'Oh... He... cooks for her... of course he does... I require more research than what his file already contains. Who is this Taiga exactly? She was never mentioned in his file. Could he have omitted things from his file like this Taiga? What else are you hiding from me, Shirou Emiya.'

Meanwhile, Shirou couldn't get an answer in as Taiga kept going on in a rapid pace, leaving no room to answer. "Yes, Yes... I'll be back in a couple of months... No... I got new recipes for you to try..." His voice was a little nervous as he kept glancing at his encroaching Lorelei who kept on getting closer and closer to him.

"Anyways, Our old man and I have been keeping your place in tip-top shape! It's just the way you left it, including your shed! Oh yeah! The old man wants you to know that he stored the Yamaha V-Max in his garage for storage this winter like you had requested."

'Wait! She said 'Our' old man!' Is this his sister and not a girlfriend? Hmmm... but she doesn't sound like Ilyasviel Von Einzbern. Perhaps she is older than him. I might have to task Lord El-Melloi II to investigate his background further, after I ring all the information out of him about their part in Shirou and my wedding... but first, I must get confirmation!'

"Also, you should know that Issei's Father finally stepped down this past summer, so Issei is the head of Ryuudo Temple! Mitsuzuri had lunch with me the other day at Copenhagen! She made it Japan's Archery Olympic Team. She even gave me tickets to a competition she's competing in up in Britain in the upcoming months. Oh! Almost for got to mention that Sakura-"

Lorelei finally scooted close enough to Shirou to leans fully onto Shirou's turned back, resting her head onto his right shoulder. He could feel her hot breath tickling his neck and ear. Shirou felt her left arm slink across his left shoulder and rest there gently, before she finally open her mouth. Her voice low and seductive, a bit possessive, but oh so teasing. "Daaaaarrrrrlllllliiiinnnngggg, who are you talking to?"

Taiga on her end had heard Lorelei's voice on the other end and became uncharacteristically quiet. The only sound that could be heard was the screeching on the tires on her bike and the sound of a bumper on a car lightly hitting another cars bumper. She then asks in a calm, yet threatening voice. "...Shirou, that was not Rin. Who was that?"

Click!

Shirou hung up immediately. He wasn't willing to risk an angry Fuji-née learning about his drunken marriage. He and Lorelei were silent for several minutes before he turns his head back to find her face mere inches from hers. Their lips were barley touching as her eyes bore into his, almost possessively. She pressed herself further against back. His cheeks burned hot and red as she gave him a small, yet seductive smile.

"It's rude to be on the phone when you have someone right in front of you. Especially if that someone is your own wife, but I'll forgive you." She whispered softly in his ear, nipping his earlobe, causing him to shudder. "Besides there are a few things I would like to discuss with you, Shirou Emiya."

Shirou could feel her right arm slide across his stomach and take his left hand in her right. Her voice was soft and gentle as she spoke, whispering into his ear. "Judging from your conversation, I take it that was your sister?" Lorelei asked, turning her head until her nose was nuzzling against his neck. When he heard the question, he had to give it a moment of thought to reminisce. He can remember that first month after the fire. The first month of his life that he could actually remember. When he was sitting alone in that hospital room and all he could recall was Kiritsugu's smile. When Kiritsugu took him in, a part of him had been filled... but there was always that gap. A piece he couldn't find to fill that void. And then came along Taiga, A human shaped Tiger that could cause a hurricane had entered his life, getting tutoring from Kiritsugu in English. Suddenly, that lonely house began to fill with Jokes, Laughter, antics, and that gap was still there... but suddenly it became a lot smaller. She was older, semi-responsible, and to this day, Shirou still questions on who thought she was responsible enough to be left in charge of groups of children when she can't even remember to pack her own lunch. But she's... Isn't that just...

He smiled fondly at the memories flowing through his head. He felt a sense of calm and peace flow through his body, relaxing him for the first time since waking this morning. "Yeah, she's my sister Fuji-née." Lorelei could only smile as she gave a soft kiss to his neck, hearing the brotherly love he had for this Taiga lady. She made a note to thank the woman at a later point. She was glad that talking about this woman could help him relax.

"Don't worry, I was only curious. Though we will have plenty of time to get to know each other later." She continued her soft whispers, making him shiver a little as her hot breath tickled his neck. She gave his hand a gentle squeeze as he relaxed a bit more, his back slowly pressing into her chest. "Now, what I want to discuss with you is, even though we..." Lorelei pauses, taking a moment to show the slightest bit of weakness before reinforcing her facade of being in full control of her emotions. "We may not have been married for less than twenty-four hours, but you are Mine. Nobody else's, Mine and mine alone. Mine to please. Mine to love like this. Just like... "She once more lets her weakness show in her eyes as her voice wavers just a bit, coming to terms that she is now eternally bound to this man, before her voice becomes more resolute and firm in her conviction. "Just like I am yours. Yours and nobody else's." Shirou nods his head as a pink blush over takes his cheeks.

She then let go of his left hand brought her right hand to his chin and gently turned his towards her gaze, bringing his lips to hers, kissing him softly on the lips. "Good, now I know we don't remember about last night all too well at the moment, but I'll investigate all that I can about our blind date last night. But we should keep this between the two of us for now, so nothing gets too blown out of proportion. Just leave all the investigation to me, Okay."

Shirou nodded his head in agreement. He knew that they should keep this quiet until they could figure out how to handle all of this. Though he would do a little investigating of his own, he just didn't need to let her know yet. If they were stuck together, then he would pull his own weight as well. He owed her that much at least.

"Hey Lorelei?" He called out something before his eyes met hers. A frown gracing his lips as a look of concern marred his expression. Her concern returned but her expression remained neutral. "Are you sure you're okay with all of this?" He asked as he looked out the window, avoiding eye contact with her.

The woman took a moment to look out the window of the car, taking in the reflection of his face as the soft pitter-patter of rain could be heard bouncing off the roof and raced down the windows of the sedan. He had kept his voice under control, but she could detect traces of self doubt in his voice. She only smiled calmly, and whispered softly, with confidence and affirmation in her voice.

"While it may not have been what I had planned, I don't regret our marriage happening. We have plenty of time to get to know each other. There is no need to rush anything despite what has already happen. On top of that, I look forward to getting to know you. The real you."

Shirou nodded his head as the window of the divider slid down a bit and the driver's voice could be heard. "My Lady, Sir Emiya, we are approaching the Norwich Dormitories. Now if you could remind me of which building it is?" His voice was light and elegant, like that of a noble. Shirou snapped back to reality as he turned his towards the driver.

"Yes, it's the third building on the left, Dorm A. It should have the Norwich family emblem above the entrance." The man gave a thumbs up before the divider slid back up into place as the made a u-turn and pulled up to the gated entrance of Dorm A. Shirou looked at Lorelei who had released him from her embrace, a look of content on her face and a look of contemplation on his. "I guess I'll call you later or will you call me?"

"I'll call you as my schedule will be a bit busier than yours. Just keep this between us for now, understand." She responded as she slipped back into her business like persona but Shirou could make out the hints of the smile playing on her lips. He noticed she had brought out a notepad and wrote his address down before placing it in her breast pocket.

He nodded his head as he got out of the car, standing there, contemplating on what to say. He let out a soft sigh before leaning back into the car and planted a soft, chaste kiss on her cheek. Her eyes widened in shock and her cheeks burned crimson as she slowly began to speak incoherently at the display of such an action. "See you later." He spoke before he stood back up and shutting the door, leaving a stunned, stuttering Lorelei in the back of the sedan.

He watched the sedan go off before turning around and heading towards the building. He could see his classmates in the lobby, two of them were arguing over something while the third was checking his mail, weighing in every now and then. Before entering the building, he took a look at the stone plinth with an inscription dedicated to who had built this dorm.

Lorelei's face was scarlet red as she sat in the back seat. Her hand pressed was pressed to the cheek that Shirou had given the kiss to. Incoherent gibberish was coming out of her lips, too quick and indescribable to even comprehend. Her eyes were shaking as her pupils shrank and grew. Her thoughts were going through her head rapidly as she felt her heart skip a beat or two.

'He kissed me... he kissed me on the cheek! That handsome man, what will I do with him next? He's adorable! Maybe I should pin him down to the table next time we... no... no... keep your self together. Get to know him first and then work slowly into a more... comfortability. Yes, you are the Barthomeloi. Not some silly school girl!'

She took a few moments to compose herself, slapping her cheeks twice as she crossed her legs. Taking a deep breath, she reached forward and flicked a lock of some sort, letting down a tray that she could use to work on or eat a quick meal with. "Jenkins, please hand me the files I had requested earlier."

"Right away ma'am." The driver replied as he took one hand off the wheel and opened the glove compartment, pulled out the aforementioned files and handed them to his boss. Lorelei took the files and set them on the fold-out tray and frowned. Sitting in front of her was the files of Shirou Emiya, their marriage certificate with documentation, and almost all the files were cited in Shirou's file that were under Level 7 clearance. She and Shirou had looked over their wedding file earlier when they first got into the car, and now she had the files she had discreetly asked for earlier this morning that had everything that was recorded on her... husband.

Lorelei set the file for the grail war to the side before opening the file for Shirou first, pulling out a pencil and a pen from her handbag. She raised an eyebrow at her eyes glanced at the photo of her husband in the file, stifling a giggle at seeing him look uncomfortable in a suit. Must of been Tohsaka's doing or Edelfelts as he did work as her part time butler for a little bit. She then proceeded to take a look through the rest of the file.

She took the pencil and scratched out "single" and wrote "Married". She would have to look into his background and do some tests to see if he may have some deeper and older lineage he may have no knowledge about. Having the Einzbern backing your venture could only get you so far in the Clock Tower. She flipped over the page and continued to read over his file.

Lorelei glanced over the notes of his professors and added some references to schedule some time to take a closer look at her husband's academic life later. Speaking of his professors, she had a call to make.

Lord El-Melloi II, otherwise known as Waver Velvet, sat at his desk nursing a headache with a cup of tea and a cigar. His night... his night wasn't the best, but it was definitely the strangest he has had in a while. Sitting across from him was his... sister, Reines El-Melloi Archesorte, and one general manager of Policies, Hishiri Adashino. His tea was cold and his cigar was all but a stub of ashes now, not to mention his headache had only gotten worse as he stared at the violet eyed woman before him who only smiled with that "polite" smile of hers. He sighed as he began his line of questioning once more as he knew this was going to lead to a more... complicated endeavor later on.

"So Let me get this straight. You set up the Vice Director on a blind date?" The woman nodded as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. "Because she lost an undisclosed bet to you?" Another nod of the head, her smile only to irritate him further. "And you collaborated with Tohsaka, my student, to set her and an other unknown participant, who just happens to be Shirou Emiya, another of my students, up on this blind date?" The woman's smug aura only amplified within seconds of the question.

"You know, it sounds as if you witnessed such a sight yourself, Lord El-Melloi II. If I didn't know any better, it sounds as if you had some kind of involvement yourself with their activities last night." Adashino spoke as Reines kept herself from smirking as she watched the two of them go back and forth, enjoying her brother's suffering. Though she knew of some of what transpired last night, after witnessing it herself, she'll keep quiet for now at least. This was too amusing.

"You know damn well I was involved! A drunken Vice Director is not something I want to deal with anytime again! She dragged the both of us around and then had us go with her and Shirou to Gretna Greens all the way up in Scotland so the two of them would get married over the anvil!"

"Oh? Married you say? A drunken marriage to a boy only adopted into a small lineage. And at Gretna Greens no less. Something like that..." Waver knew that smirk on her face. He didn't need to be a genius to know what "that look" meant.

"No."

"No?" She repeated as if she didn't know what he was referring to. He knew better though, he knew damn well what happens when one goes behind the back of the Barthomelloi.

"I know that look. The Barthomeloi are not ones to try and double cross! Don't you find it suspicious that someone such as Lorelei Barthomeloi had gotten drunk on a blind date of all things? Someone like her would have double checked her drink or had someone personally attending to her to check if her drink has been poisoned or not. On top of that, Shirou Emiya, who is not only my student and a seal designation enforcer under her direct employment, does not drink often to begin with. Think of what would happen if you immediately tried to use that knowledge to your advantage."

"That would be political suicide and put me on their 'list'." She said as she brought a hand to her chin, pondering the scenario that was now playing in her head. Before Waver or her could continue on, the cell phone on Waver's desk began to ring. He looked at it for a moment before reaching over and picking it up, answering the call, only to pale considerably further as a familiar, yet unsettling voice rang out in his ear.

"Good, you seem to have answered within a timely fashion, Velvet. I have some answers that only you, your sister, and Goredolf Musik can answer. My office, fifthteen minutes from now."

And after that, there was a click as a paling and sweating Waver Velvet left in the wake of the end of that call. Only for Reines and Adashino to be covering their giggles at the misfortune of the proxy lord.

Norwich Dorms: Est. 1887; the Norwich Family and later remodeled and refurbished by Touko Aozaki and Aozaki Construction 1980

Shirou looked at the plaque with an interest he had not shown before making a note to ask Rin later. Making his way up the steps leading to the front entrance where he could see Flat, Svin, and Caules getting their mail and arguing over something. He also noticed that they were watching him earlier as they were talking in hushed whispers.

"I'm telling you man, Shirou just got back from a date! Why else would he take a moment to look back into the sedan."

"Give it a rest Flat, He was just tipping the cabby driver."

"And besides, it's none of our business who Shirou sees, let's just drop it and respect his privacy."

Shirou sighed as he walked past them and made his way up to the top floor. As he entered the hall making his way to his room, he awkwardly passed Luvia and Gray in the hall. Their clothes were a bit wrinkled and stained with what appeared to be lipstick. Gray had her hood pulled down over her face, though one could see the massive blush on and lipstick marks in shades of blue and red on her face, especially her lipstick stained lips. Shirou could swear he saw a hickey or two on her neck. As for Luvia, her dress, and her hair, were ruffled and messy and Shirou could see lipstick stains in red and green marking her neck and collar. Neither of them were able to meet Shirou's eyes. He could also hear Add's voice from beneath Gray's cloak.

"Ah, Shirou, ol'buddy ol'pal, mind helping me get out of this mad woman's cage?" The mystic code had asked the redhead who could only sigh and shake his head at the request for "help."

Shirou, who had let the cube out once before had to help Gray track down the blasted mystic code and it had taken them all day just to catch the little guy. Shirou may have sympathized with the little guy, but he wasn't about to make that mistake again. "Not falling for that again. Once was enough. Morning Gray, Luvia."

Add, undeterred then made a comment in Gray's direction. "You look good in that red and blue lipstick. Of course if you hadn't worn that green lipstick and that other lipstick wasn't on your neck and down the-AHHHHHH! STOP SHAKING MY CAGE! I'M ONLY SPEAKING THE TRUTH, I'M SOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRYYYYYYYYY!!!!!"

Gray was blushing harder than before and shaking his cage and swinging her arm in a circle. Add was being bounced around his cage as a result. "SHUT UP ADD!" When she stopped, Add decided to push his luck even further.

"And might I add that red and green are very fitting for a high-class seductress such as yourself, Luvia. For those are the colors that people usually make when they interact with you; horny, angry, or downright sick to their stoma- AAAAHHHHHH! PROTECT ME, GRAY, PROTECT MMMMMEEEEE!"

Luvia, angry and embarrassed, grabbed the cage and began to clench down on it, making the metal creak. "SHUT UP, YOU DETESTABLE CUBE!"

"SHIROU, HELP ME! REMEMBER THE BRO CODE! REMEMBER THE BRO CUBE!"

"Sorry Add, I like helping people, but I'm smart enough to choose life in this case." Shirou said as he made his way down to the apartment he shared with Rin.

"YOU TRAITOR! TRRRRRRAAAAAAIIIIIIIIITOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRR!" Add's scream of desperation and betrayal rang out down the hallway. Shirou sighed as he reached apartment 23, pulling out the apartment key and unlocking the door, slipping in as he closes the door behind him. He saw Rin sitting at the dining room table, in a yellow bathrobe and her legs crossed. She was pinching her nose with one hand and had a mug of hot coffee in the other.

Her neck, face, and what he could see of her right revealed collar bone, was covered in blue and green lipstick marks and hickeys. Her hair was frazzled and let down and he noticed a scowl on her face. Shirou, against his better judgment, decided to ask a question he shouldn't ask but went on ahead, asking anyway. "So... Long night?"

Rin's head slowly turned towards him and gave him a look that would have ended his life ten times over. "Don't ask..." She narrowed her gaze as she examined his appearance and gave a him an unreadable stare. "Though it seems you had an eventful evening. What happened to you while you were on the blind date?"

There was a look of concern in her eyes as he raised his hands in defense, knowing not to press an issue with her. "It... was fun, just surprising that's all." Rin narrowed her eyes as if she suspected he was hiding something. "Honestly, Rin. It was a lot more fun than the two of us expected. We actually had a bit in common with each other."

"So you found someone you can relax and have fun with?" Shirou nodded his head at Rin's went back to pinching her nose and sipping on the coffee she had. "Good. It's about time you found someone like that. I see my efforts weren't in vain then." Shirou could see the tiniest bit of a smile on her lips. She had been the one to set him up on that blind date. But he knew she had his best intentions in mind.

"Anyways, are you sure you'll be okay?" She nodded as she downed the rest of her coffee and got up, began to walk to her own bathroom with a noticeable limp. She took one more look at Shirou and focused on his left hand for a moment. Shirou felt her nervousness rise a bit as her scrutinizing gaze returned.

"You sure there isn't some story you want to tell me, Shirou." Her voice was stern, as if she was a teacher giving a student to confess about his actions.

"No, no... It's all good Rin. Trust me, I'm just a bit exhausted, that's all." She gave him a hard, calculated look, before nodding her head, willing to tell her when the time was right. She just hoped her apprentice hadn't done anything that he might regret and made her way into her own bathroom. Shirou left to his own devices, decided that washing up would be the best course of action as to not arouse anymore suspicion and headed on over to his own bathroom.

Clock Tower Main Branch, Department of Policies, British History Museum, London, England, 2009

Lorelei made her way to her office within the confines of the Clock Tower. She could hear the hustle and bustle and the chatter of her departments, employees, focused on her goals for today. Though, She tried to ignore it, she couldn't help but find herself picking up on snippets of the conversations of her employees, trying to pick up on any mention of Shirou being brought up.

She was curious on which of her employees had interaction with Shirou. Though she couldn't get caught spying on them or asking too many questions, She would have to take note on which of them would benefit or detrimentally affect her husband. She's still reeling and in shock that she could say that now. But with her husband's (still amazed she could say that) current career as an Enforcer, they are not well liked for a myriad of reasons and considered one of the three disasters of the Clock Tower. And, that is despite of all the fieldwork and concealment of the mystics they perform when not on an apostle hunt or tracking down a seal designated candidate.

As she neared her office, she noticed one of her assistants approaching her from behind. Without missing a beat, she held out her hand and took the rest of the files she had requested the woman to find. "That will be all, Mrs. Magvine. I am not to be disturbed until my guests have arrived. Is that clear?"

"Your wish is my command, Lady Barthomeloi. I will bring Lord El-Melloi II, Lady Reines, and Mr. Musik to you immediately upon their arrival." The woman bowed with the elegance of a noble obeying her Queen, before scurrying away. Lorelei pulled out a key and brought it to the keyhole of the door, inserting it inside and turning the lock to her office's door. She could feel the layers of bounded fields allowing her entrance as she withdrew the key and opened the door. She walked in and shut the door behind her and let herself quietly sigh and relax. In here, she could be herself and not worry about others. She could feel the bounded fields seal themselves up around the door.

She walked over to the record player in the corner and turned it on and set the record on the disk before walking over to her desk and sat down in her throne like chair and set the files on her desk. She opened the first file, which happened to be her own, immediately changing her marital status from single to married.

She then frowned as she looked at her own name and then over on the marriage certificate and sighed softly. As a traditionalist, she would have changed her maiden name to Shirou's last name. The mage in her was telling her to change Shirou's last name to hers. Yet on their marriage certificate and documents, they kept their last names as they were. Whether they were too drunk to realize or too drunk to think it through, drunkenness was surely to blame. She sighed once more before closing her file and setting it to the side along with the marriage documents and Shirou's own file. She would need to talk to Shirou about how to proceed. It was only fair to him after all. He had a choice as well.

She then placed the fourth file in the center of her desk, in front of her and opened it. A file on the Fifth Fuyuki Holy Grail War. Inside of it was all the information that had been given on all the events and participants. When Kayneth El-Melloi Archibold was killed in the fourth war, her predecessor, the previous Barthomeloi head, had called a grand roll to determine who would take over the department of Mineralogy. It was supposed to be taken over by one of the members of the aristocratic faction to maintain a balance of power between the three factions. But it was taken over by a member of the Neutral Faction, one Karmagraph Meluastea Deluc, the Lord who presided over the Department of Archeology. He had managed to take hold of it during all the chaos of the Grand Roll and earned himself a spot on the Barthomeloi watch list. It was also one of the reasons why she took over as head of the Barthomeloi and the Department of Policies.

Furthermore, it led to her keeping a tighter reign on the on going rituals in the Far East, including the Fuyuki Holy Grail War. A Lord of the Clock Tower with the backing of a major faction killed without so much as a fuss other than the events of the Grand Roll had left her with a sour egg to swallow. She didn't like being so ill informed. So she had taken steps when the Fifth Holy Grail War was announced. She doubled the agents of the Clock Tower to keep her informed on the comings and goings of Fuyuki and to keep tabs on the Overseer of the Fifth War.

Turns out she was right to do so. Sending Enforcer Fraga Remitz at the request of that priest was the right decision and ordering her to keep an eye on things even if she had lost her servant had been a sign of things working in her favor. Without getting lost in her thoughts, she opened the file with all the documentation and paperwork given on the fifth war with notes and anecdotes from Enforcer Remitz, as well as current Lady Einzbern and Lady Tohsaka. There were also notes from the new Matou Head, who Enforcer Remitz had decided to take under her wing.

Lorelei felt her eyebrow twitch at the two mentions of Zelretch already. Her counterpart was a nosy one, that's for sure. She didn't know why or how, but the old man had found ways to get under her skin in one way or another. Whether it was showing up in her office unannounced or withholding critical information from her, it drove her absolutely mad to no end. She was about to continue when she heard a knock and the voice of Mrs. Magvine on the other side of the door.

"Lady Barthomeloi, Lord El-Melloi II, Lady Reines El-Melloi Archesorte, Mr. Goredolf Musik, and Miss Adashino have arrived, shall I send them in now?" Her voice rang through loud and clear. Hishiri Adashino was a surprise, but a welcomed one as it was her who had set her up on that blind date to begin with. It saved Lorelei the trouble of tracking her down later.

"Yes." She said as she closed the file and set it with the other files that she had brought with her. The bounded field opened up once more, responding to her will as the door opened as the three requested individual along with Miss Adashino entered her office. Mrs. Magvine bowed with an elegant haste before leaving the room and shutting the door behind her, allowing the bounded fields to seal them in once more, the door locking shut as extra privacy seals were enacted.

Lord El-Melloi II and Reines took to the two chairs as Goredolf Musik, a young, burly man in his early 20's with blonde hair and a mustache, and Adashino stood behind them. She stared at them, studying them in silence as they stared at her with varying expressions. Lord El-Melloi II looked nervous despite his calm appearance. His younger sister had kept her emotions in check and betrayed no thought as to what she was already plotting. Adashino was the same way, though she wasn't about to try anything despite the mysterious, ever-present smile playing on her lips. Finally, Goredolf Musik was keeping his composure with his arms folded behind his back, though was just as nervous as Waver was.

"You all are aware of why I have summoned you here on this very day, correct?" They nodded their heads as Lorelei sat back and crossed one leg over the other. Her elbows rested on the armrests as she folded her hands together, lacing her fingers. Her eyes narrowed as it was finally time to reveal some of what happened that night. "Excellent. Now none of what we discuss in this very office is to be discussed among the public, or the consequences shall be... severe."

They nodded their heads once more. Good, they seem to grasp the weight of the situation at hand. Lorelei started as she kept her composure as to not lash out at them. She had yet to hear their sides of last night yet and better to receive all the facts first. "Miss Adashino, as you were originally not part of last nights activities, but were a catalyst for what came, we'll start with you as my questions for you will be quick. You may explain your whole role in the events of last night as I take it the three have caught you up to speed as of this morning. I will know if you're withholding anything."

"Of course Milady." The sly general manager of Policies responded without missing a beat. "I was the one responsible for setting you up on that blind date after you had lost an undisclosed wager we had. I had collaborated with young Miss Tohsaka in order for you to relax a bit so that you may ease up on your staff for the next couple of days as you have been working us to the bone rather heavily these past couple of months. It was only this morning that I was informed of your nuptials to young Mister Shirou Emiya by our dear Lord El-Melloi II. When he had gotten the call from you to report to your office. Congratulations are in order, Lady Barthomeloi."

Lorelei nodded as she couldn't detect a lie from the woman. She may be a snake, but she knew better than to lie to her superior. She then directed her gaze to Lord El-Melloi II, Reines, and Goredolf, former and latter of the three tensed and flinched in response respectively. "And what happened when Mr. Emiya and I had encountered the three of you. We may begin with you, Lord El-Melloi II."

Waver nodded as he coughed into his hand and adjusted his tie and glasses, straightening his jacket. "Well Reines and I were on our way for dinner when we had bumped into Mr. Musik who had offered to buy us dinner as thanks for helping him with a Case he was working on a few weeks back. It was then on our way to the restaurant that the three of us came across you and Mr. Emiya in your... inebriated states. Then you had asked us to accompany the two of you to find a jewelry store so that you may purchased rings. Once the rings were acquired from a small shop over in White Chapel, we then took a set of your sedans to Gretna Green's all the way out In Scotland so you two could have your... ceremony as quickly as possible. Lady Reines and I acted as the witnesses for you and Shirou respectfully, Ma'am."

Lorelei nodded her head once more, only to look at Reines who nodded her head and grinned mischievously as she pulled out a small, silver camera from her jacket pocket. She held it in view of the Vice Director in her nimble fingers as her and Goredolf's eyes widened at the audacity of the blonde hellfire.

Waver paled in absolute terror as the room went ice cold as the vice director glared at his sister who was unaffected by the frosty glare. "I suppose you'll want your wedding photos. I guess I could give them to you... for a price." Reines addressed the Queen of the Clock Tower with a coy smile, not betraying her intentions."

"Oh... you think you have the skill to barter with the Barthomeloi, little one." The Wizard Marshal shot back as her chocolate brown eyes began to glow, diluting in color a bit as the room soon became a bit colder. Waver could tell the woman was not playing around. What in the hell was Reines thinking! Even Adashino was tensing in anticipation, slowly inching away from behind Reines's chair.

"Oh it's but a teensy one, one that you will be able to fulfill with no problem at all. I will... sweeten the deal with a favor of my own that I will pay in equal value in return for this favor to me." Reines casually brought her sleeve of her shirt to cover her smile as she stared unblinking into eyes of the woman who could end her existence without so much as batting an eye.

"Then that would require a second favor from myself. Very well then, I shall do the first favor in accordance with the bargain of the wedding photos and then another favor for one of your choosing that you will pay back in full." Lorelei responded, completing the deal without missing a beat, leaving the three occupants of the office to look at the two of them stunned, and in Waver's case, almost having a heart attack.

"Pleasure doing business with you, Lord Barthomeloi. Please let it know that the El-Melloi always take their alliances with those align ourselves with as seriously as we always have." With that, the temperature in the office returned to normal. Reines set the camera on the desk as the others began to relax, now that rather... tense moment was over and done with. "You should know that your husband is one of the best chefs I've had the pleasure of knowing. I even have tried many of his dishes that he has prepared before." Lorelei only paused, her eyes widening for only a fraction of a second before she then turned her attention to Goredolf Musik. His posture straightened and he came to full attention as she finally begun to addressed him.

"Now if I read the marriage document and my wedding certificate correctly, you were the one to officiate the wedding? How exactly... were you ordained to officiate weddings in the first place Mr. Musik? I was unaware that anyone in your family were able to officiate weddings."

The man, to his credit, had not faltered under the woman's icy, chocolate brown gaze. He answered immediately and proudly, yet with a humble tone. "The art of officiating weddings has been passed down the Musik line for generations. While we don't normally do it, we do take an exception for a family or two to officiate their weddings for them. The blacksmith at Gretna Greens was currently working on a "sword of legends" as he called it, allowed for me to officiate the wedding for you two in his place. I was more than happy to do so." The man had boasted a bit as he pulled out a license that allowed him to officiate weddings and handed it to the Vice Director. She checked it thoroughly enough before she handed it back to him.

"Well it appears that everything is in order, so on to the next order of-" Before she could continue, her phone began to ring. Checking the id, it was Shirou's number that appeared. She immediately flipped the cellphone open and answered it. "Hello?" She answered confused as she said she would contact him. His voice came through nervous and unsure, almost quiet as if he was trying to keep his voice down.

"Hey Lorelei... I hope I didn't interrupt anything you're in the middle of and I know you are quite busy... but last night... did we use any... protection?" It was in that moment as her eyes widened that everyone could see the sheer panic on her face.

ANNNNNNNNND CUT!

Finally, after two months of hard work and delays and corrections, I can finally bring this chapter to a close. I've been working on this alongside both of my jobs so I apologize for the very long wait. This took forever and I'm proud of all that I have achieved with this chapter and I hope you all enjoy it too. Once again, I send my thanks to my buddy Zephyr for all his help on this as some of the ideas he had come up with for this chapter so credit is due to him as well. As a treat for making you wait so long, have this short little Omake.

Omake #1: Lorelei and the rumors of Chef Shirou

Lorelei had been a wreck as she made her way through the halls of the Clock Tower. All along the way to her office, she heard rumors of Shirou Emiya, her Darling Husband and his numerous feats of his amazing cooking. It seems that everyone has had his cooking... except for her! Not only was she his boss, but now she is his wife! How dare he share his culinary creations with others and not her!

It was a sin. She had worked and worked to keep the Clock Tower in working order. She had worked to keep all those Dead Apostles dead and in the ground... permanently. She was the vice director of the Clock Tower and head of the Barthomeloi. Most importantly, she was the wife of Shirou "Freakin" Emiya and she'd be damned if she didn't get to try her hubby's precious cooking!

She began to giggle to herself in an insane manner, unaware of the aura she was producing, causing others to back away slowly, hoping that they were not caught in whatever the vice director act like this as she began to mumble to herself in a insane manner.

"I must have the precious cooking for myself the next I see him. Yes, yes, the precious cooking will be all mine and no one else may have it. All for me, all for me, the precious cooking shall all be gobbled up by me and no one else! Darling shall cook for me and no one else!"

she giggled madly as she began to skip down the hall, speaking like a certain pitiful creature that would obsess over a certain ring from another series, leaving onlookers terrified in her wake. Only this time, instead of a ring, it was one's cooking that she desired.
