A/N: Had some things to do today, so posting this early. Enjoy!

"Oh, here they come!" a female Soul Reaper exclaimed.

The male and female Soul Reapers of Squad Nine were once again, completely swooning for their squad's two lieutenants, and arguably two of the hottest and coolest Soul Reapers in the Thirteen Court Guard Squads. Both wore the traditional uniform of a Soul Reaper, albeit with the top half receiving some modifications, of course. Both lieutenants' kosode (black, short sleeved shirt) and shitagi (white under shirt), had their sleeves removed, allowing their bare arms to be seen, in addition, they wore both a little loose. Allowing a little more of their chests to be exposed. Around their necks was a necklace with a turquoise-colored gemstone that rested right below their collarbones, and glinted each time it caught the light.

The two lieutenants looked alike, twins. Both had green colored hair, and golden eyes. The boy had a mole under his right eye, while the girl had a mole under her left eye. The boy had a short shaggy hair, while the girl had short hair. The boy and girl had their Zanpakutōs resting in their belts, with the boy's having a green colored hilt, and the girl a blue colored hilt. The two strode through the halls of their barracks, they knew they were causing a scene amongst their squad, but this was just another Monday for them. Even if they stepped outside of the barracks, the reaction would be the same.

"Lieutenant Edric, g-good morning!" a female Soul Reaper greeted.

"Hey, good morning," Edric replied with wink.

That same Soul Reaper, along with about four other girls, all swooned and collapsed onto the floor.

"Lieutenant Emira! Y-You're looking beautiful this morning! Ma'am!" a male Soul Reaper called out.

Emira made a pouty face as she replied, "Aww, just 'beautiful'?"

"YOU'RE HOT TOO, MA'AM!" several male Soul Reapers yelled.

"Thank you, boys," said Emira as she blew a kiss towards them.

Somehow, the kiss took on the form of a heart that floated towards the group of male Soul Reapers. One of them reached out for it but was quickly punched in the face as that one tried to snatch it. But then that Soul Reaper was gut punched by another as he tried to intercept the blown heart kiss. A small brawl broke out as the about six male Soul Reapers were now fighting for that floating kiss, but if one looked closer, there were also two or three female Reapers doing the same.

Edric sighed as he said, "Causing a fight this early, Em?"

Emira smirked as she glanced at her little brother and asked, "And you're not, Ed?"

Edric turned around and saw seven female Soul Reapers, again, swooning over him. The second lieutenant of Squad Nine shot the girls a smoldering smile, and a moment after, all seven girls, and a couple of boys, looked as if they were hit with an uppercut as they rose into the air, with nose bleeds, and hit the floor in a daze.

"Eh, fair point," Edric relented.

Emira was the first lieutenant Squad Nine, while Edric was the second lieutenant. Both had displayed incredible skill during their tenure in Squad Nine, so much so that their captain couldn't decide which one to make a lieutenant, so, he made both of them lieutenants. There was no rule against it. Was it unusual to some degree? Yes, but considering their captain was Andrian Graye Vernworth, being eccentric came with the territory.

The twins made their normal rounds, checking on their various squad members, and breaking up fights – at least ones they didn't start because of their coolness or hotness. The twins went to their office where they read a few reports about Hollow sightings in the World of the Living. It was here that they were looking especially carefully at the Hollow sightings. More specifically, about Hollow detections in Gravesfield. They heard that their little sister had been given an assignment to go and investigate that town, in order to discover the cause of the disappearing Hollows. Normally it wasn't a bad thing when Hollows disappeared, but when they appeared and disappeared so quickly, it was normally the work of a Soul Reaper or Quincy dispatching them. And all their intel pointed out one glaring fact, there were no Soul Reapers assigned to that town, nor were there any signs of Quincy.

When they found out that Gravesfield had come under siege by Hollows, the twins were nearly halfway to the nearest Senkaimon (Gateway) to the Living World. Thankfully, a report came in that the Hollow Invasion was stopped by Amity and a passing by group of Quincy who aided in the extermination. As much as they were relieved to hear that Amity was okay from Captain Darius, the twins felt as if this wasn't exactly the truth. Squad Nine mainly dealt in counterintelligence, which meant they needed to be able to know when something was up, and they had a gut feeling that something was indeed up.

Edric kicked up his feet onto his desk as he leaned back in his chair and said, "We should go to the World of the Living and check on Mittens. I know you got a feeling that something isn't right."

Emira sighed and replied, "I do, and I want to. But think about it. If something is up, we might get Amity in trouble. And we need approval from Captain Adrian to use the Senkaimon to even go there."

Edric smirked as he swung his feet off the desk and raised an eyebrow at his older twin.

"Well, not exactly. There are other ways of going to the World of the Living," he suggested.

Emira smiled as she understood exactly what her younger twin was thinking.

"You know, dear brother, I think we're long overdue for a vacation. Don't you think?"

"Why, yes, dear sister, we have been working long and hard. I think we're deserving of a little vacation time."

The twins finished up their work, wrote down something on a form, and had a hell butterfly fly it to their notice to their captain before bolting out of the barracks.

"Think the Captain's going to be ticked?" Edric asked.

"It's a vacation, besides, I think the Captain can handle everything," Emira replied.

With that said, the twins left the Squad Nine barracks, heading straight home to begin their expedition.

(World of the Living)

Things were a little awkward in the Owl House, especially given that Luz and Amity were officially a couple now. It was something that they were both trying to get used to. Amity had never been with a girl romantically, heck, until a couple of days ago, she didn't know she even liked girls. Or rather, she didn't allow herself to like them. That was probably one of the things that was still confusing about this. Had being with Luz awakened something she had been trying to suppress this whole time? Amity still wasn't sure about all of this, but at the same time, this also didn't feel bad. Of course, there was still the glaringly obvious fact that Luz was a Hollow. The enemy of Soul Society. Such a relationship was not meant to last, she knew this.

So…why does knowing that make my chest hurt? Amity thought.

For Luz, the nervousness was on the same level as Amity's. When she really thought about it, Amity was her first ever girlfriend. Her very first non-platonic relationship. Honestly, at some point, she had given up on ever finding someone, boy or girl, who would like her for her in Gravesfield. Hell, she had pretty much given up on romance altogether, at least as far as finding it here in this town. Luz had thought of approaching prospects from out of town, but she let that thought evaporate like a snowball in hell.

Mostly due to the fact that if she did start a relationship with someone from out of town, they would have to go back to where they were originally from. Plus, it wouldn't be long before someone found out about her history here. It was like the bullies of her school went out of their way to paint a scarlet letter on Luz, making sure that any chances she had at making a new friend, or even potentially getting a girlfriend or boyfriend, were immediately shot out of the water before they left port.

But now I have an honest to God girlfriend. And she's so…beautiful, a little uptight, but she's just dedicated to her work, and I can respect that…

Eda walked in at that time and announced, "Hey, it's almost time for one of you guys take your fifteen."

"Oh, right." Luz glanced at Amity and said, "You should–"

"Go ahead–!"

Both girls stopped when they realized they had spoken at the same time.

"Y-You go ahead, I'll watch the store," Amity offered.

"No-No, it's okay, you take your break! I can wait," Luz insisted.

"No, you have seniority, so, you should go first," Amity retorted.

Eda groaned in annoyance.

"Okay, if you can't decide, I'll decide!" Eda began pointing her finger at Amity and Luz and switched between pointing at one and then the other. "Innie, meenie, miney – you!"

"Wait, but–!" Luz tried to protest.

"No buts, the boss has spoken!" Eda stated. "Now, shoo! Get out of the store and don't come back until fifteen minutes are up!"

Eda began shooing Luz out of the store, going so far as to physically push the Latina towards the front door.

"¡Bueno! ¡Bueno! ¡Voy! ¡Voy! (Okay! Okay! I'm going! I'm going!)" Luz reached for the front door, stopped, and then turned to look at the front register, directly at Amity. "I'll…uh…see you later, Amity."

"Y-Yeah, see you," Amity stuttered.

Eda watched as Luz exited the Owl House, and once she was gone, Eda turned around and looked directly at Amity.

"Okay, what the heck is going on between you two?" Eda inquired.

"W-What do you mean?"

"Normally Luz is messing around with you, saying something to get you all flustered, or just existing around you," Eda pointed out. "And you normally call her out, threaten her, or chase her around town with your sword."

Amity's eyes widened as Eda pointed out her past actions.

Oh, crap! I forgot all about that! I've called her a monster, annoying, a sexual harasser! I've called her so many names, and now we're girlfriends!

Eda watched as Amity started running her hands through her hair frantically, not realizing that pointing out her past actions was the cause of the current state she was in. King walked in from the back living area, looked up at Amity, and tilted his head in confusion.

"What's going on with her?" King asked.

"Dunno, I just said her and Luz were acting weird around each other, and not the normal kind of weird either," Eda answered.

Amity stopped messing with her hair and glanced down at King.

"Did…Did King just talk?"

"Oops."

"Eda, why can the dog talk?!" Amity asked as she looked down at King.

"Ha! I am no mere dog!" King got up on his hind legs, with a surprising amount of balance, and waved his paw up in the air in a proud fashion. "You look upon the one and only King of Hollows! Bow before my glorious presence!"

Amity turned her gaze back onto Eda as she asked, "'King of the Hollows', I see…Eda, care to explain?"

Eda nervously rubbed the back of her head as she explained, "During one my many adventures in the past, I happened to find this little guy wandering around. And, yes, he is a Hollow. But he's really not that much different from Luz! 'Sides, some of the Hollow pieces that Luz cuts are given to King, and once he's eaten a few, he's good for a while. No souls."

Amity gave the Hollow in disguise a scrutinizing look, her instincts were telling her to cut down the Hollow before her. However, given the fact that Luz knew of King's identity meant that he had not harmed a soul. Otherwise, Amity was sure that Luz would have eliminated King long ago.

"Fine, I won't make a big deal out of it if Luz hasn't," said Amity.

"Huh, wow, here I thought you were going to transform and slice Kings head off."

"WEH?!" King uttered.

"If Luz hasn't eaten and/or killed King by now, then she must either trust him or not think he's a threat to humans. For now, I'll default to her judgement," Amity stated.

"Double wow. You actually trust Luz enough to let her make a judgement call like that? Okay, seriously, what the hell happened between you two?! This is kinda freaking me out a little!" Eda exclaimed.

Amity blushed; she wasn't sure if she wanted to tell Eda what was going on. She already had a talk with Camila, but maybe getting some advice from someone older might help her understand what she should be doing now.

"Actually…there is something…"

"UUUUUUUGGGGGGGHHHHH…Willow, I don't know what to dooooooo…!" Luz moaned as she slumped her upper body on the counter of Willow's workplace.

"I'm kind of having a hard time understanding. Do you not want to be Amity's girlfriend?" Willow asked.

"I-I do! She's smart, determined, classy, hot, and pretty…" Luz's expression fell after she listed Amity's qualities. "And then there's me…"

Willow raised an eyebrow as she crossed her arms and inquired, "What do you mean, 'and then there's you'?"

"Augh, Willow, look at me!" Luz took a step back from the counter and gestured to herself. "I'm a mess! Not only do I have zero experience being anyone's girlfriend, but I'm not classy, if anything I'm a crass perv most of the time."

"Can't argue with you there."

"I'm not rich like her family! If anything, Mom and I are well off, could be better, but still, we're good. But compared to Amity's family, I'm sure we'd be considered 'commoners'. Then there's the glaringly obvious fact that she's a Soul Reaper and I'm a Hollow! If I was just plain old human Luz, then maybe this might work out? But I'm not! I'm a Hollow! Her natural enemy! It may be one thing if she was just going out with a human girl, but a Hollow girl?! Soul Society will probably tear her a new one?! Oh, and then there's the possibility that she might get exiled from Soul Society for dating a Hollow! Or," Luz gulped, "executed for sleeping with a Hollow! Do you think they can tell if someone screwed a Hollow?! Like, they have some sort of detection device?! Ay dios mío, I could end up ruining her whole entire life!"

"Luz."

"What was I thinking?! I have no business rizzing up a girl like Amity! I got no game! I'm going to end up turning Amity off girls if I mess up! She just came out of the closet to herself, one screw up and I might drive her back into it!" Luz ranted.

Willow sighed heavily as she walked from behind the counter.

"Maybe this was a mistake? Yeah, it was a mistake! I slept with Amity, and now we're in a situation that could end up ruining her whole afterlife! I'm such a screw up!"

The bespectacled girl walked up to Luz, and immediately slapped her friend across the face, ending the rant and stunning Luz.

"You done?" Willow asked.

"Y-Yeah…I'm done."

"Good." Willow grabbed Luz by the shoulders, and made her friend look her in the eyes. "Now listen to me, Luz Noceda. You do deserve someone like Amity Blight. You've been through so much, and you finally found someone who's willing to accept you as you are. Not just the girl, but the Hollow too. And I really can't think of anyone better for Amity right now. She's just realized something about herself, and she needs someone to help guide her through this. I'll be there to help. But Luz, as her first girlfriend, you're in a much better position to help her than I am."

Willow brought her forehead against Luz's and smiled as she closed her eyes.

"Luz, you're my best friend. I know you. And that's how I know you'll be an awesome girlfriend to Amity. I'm not saying what you two will have will be easy. But I believe that you two can make it work somehow."

Luz smiled and wrapped her arms around Willow, bringing her into a hug.

"You're an awesome best friend, Willow. Thank you."

"Anytime, Luz."

The girls separated from each other with Luz rubbing the back of her head and chuckling a bit.

"Wow. Never thought I'd be this nervous and jittery about being in a relationship. But granted Amity's a total ten, so, being nervous probably comes with the territory," Luz said.

"Hmm, maybe a nine, at most," Willow remarked.

Luz suddenly glared at Willow as she retorted, "Uh, excuse me? My girlfriend is a freaking ten out of ten! No question!"

Willow smirked.

Luz's glare faded as she smirked back, realizing what Willow had just done.

"Huh, nice."

"Now, go back and have a talk with her."

"I'll try, but I'm still pretty nervous." Luz's phone went off, prompting her to check it. "Oh, and it looks like Mamá wants me to ask Amity if she wants to have dinner with us tonight."

"Heh, looks like Camila's already accepted her as your GF," Willow noticed.

Luz's smile broadened. Not too long ago, she tried to pass off Amity as her girlfriend to placate her mother's worries. It had failed miserably, as her mother figured out that Luz was lying through her teeth while also using it an opportunity to embarrass her in front of Amity like any mother would. However, now it was the truth.

Just then, the door to the flower shop rang, making both Willow and Luz turn towards the front door.

"Welcome to…to…to…"

Luz and Willow were completely stunned as two people entered the store. They had green hair colored hair, golden eyes (which Luz found oddly familiar), one was a boy, and the other was a girl, and judging from their features, they were most likely twins. The boy stood a head taller than Luz, with a little stubble on his chin, and a mole under his right eye. He wore a purple tank top that showed off his arms, which rippled with lean muscle. There was a sky-blue hoodie wrapped around his waist, and going lower he had on a pair of blue jeans, and a pair of black shoes. His twin sister was dressed in a purple crop top that exposed her whole midriff, along with a pair of short shorts, and a pair of black boots.

"Hey there," they greeted in unison.

"C-C-C," Willow raised her right hand and slapped herself across the face, knocking some since back into herself. "Can I help you?!"

"We were kind of hoping to get some directions. We're new in town, and we were looking for a certain store in this area," said Edric.

"Oh, uh, which store would that be?" Willow inquired.

"It's called the 'Owl House', apparently it's a magic shop. We wanted to drop in and see it, but we got ourselves turned around," Emira admitted. "Do you guys know it, or did we completely miss the mark?"

"Uh, no, no! Actually, the Owl House is around here. And I work there," said Luz.

"Seriously?! Sweet, think you could show us the way?" Edric asked.

"Oh, uh, y-yeah, sure! No problem!"

"Thanks a lot cutie. Well, let's get going," said Emira.

"R-Right, talk to you later, Willow," Luz stammered as she headed for the front door.

Willow watched as the twins parted and allowed Luz to exit first. Both turned around to leave, but not after glancing over their shoulders and winking at Willow. The gardener blushed before Edric and Emira left the shop. Once they were gone, Willow fanned herself, the twins were extremely attractive, and it honestly flustered her.

"Okay, that's the first time I experienced a pan panic. Good luck, Luz."

Luz was feeling a little uncomfortable. The twins were walking on either side of her, the older girl was walking on her right, while the older boy, her twin brother, walked on her left. It was taking all of Luz's inner strength not to swoon over the two good-looking people on either side of her. Luz was this close to having a bi panic moment, but thankfully she kept her composure. It baffled Luz as to why two drop dead hot people like them wanted to go and visit the little magic shop in a town in Connecticut. Although Luz wasn't going to complain right now.

"So, uh, I didn't catch your names," Luz mentioned.

"Oh, sorry, we forgot to introduce ourselves. My name's Emira, the older twin," Emira announced.

"Name's Edric, and who might you be?" Edric asked.

"Oh, yeah, sorry, name! It's Luz, Luz Noceda. And I've lived here practically my whole life," Luz informed.

Edric rubbed his chin as he asked, "Ah, so you must know all the best spots in town then, huh?"

"Eh, I mean, I'm not exactly sure what you guys would qualify as 'the best spots'. I know a lot of haunted locations in Gravesfield, the kind of places that the tour guides either don't talk about or don't know about."

"Ooh, spooky. Sounds like fun!" Emira exclaimed. "Maybe later you could give us a tour of those places."

Luz rubbed the back of her head as she chuckled nervously. Being around these two was making her feel uneasy, they were really good looking, and just oozed coolness. Although Luz felt a little guilty about being around them, considering she was going out with Amity now. However, Luz knew that it was only a matter of time before Edric and Emira realized that Luz was someone they shouldn't associate with.

"Yeah, maybe you should get a different tour guide for that. Trust me, you're better off not hanging around me," Luz advised.

Edric and Emira glanced at each other in confusion and then asked at the same time, "Why not?"

"That's…"

"Oh, great, it's Luzzer."

Here she comes to wreck the daay~, Luz thought.

Luz turned her gaze onto the girl in question, Zoe, and her little clique. The Latina let out a long sigh as she crossed her arms and said, "Zoe, hey, fancy bumping into you on such a nice day. At least it was."

"Same to you, No-brain-na – whoa." Zoe turned her attention to the twins that stood on either side of Luz. "And who do we have here?"

"Edric, Emira, this is Zoe, she's a rich 'cool kid' of Gravesfield," Luz introduced, using air quotes.

"I'm going to overlook those air quotes, Screw-Luz. Hi, Zoe, and I am one of the popular kids in town. Why are you hanging around her?" Zoe asked. "Probably tricked you into thinking she's popular or something right?"

"Uh, not really," Edric responded.

"We asked her for directions, and she was nice enough to take us to where we wanted to go," said Emira.

Zoe shot Luz a dirty look as she replied, "Oh, that so? Well, let me give you some advice. For the sake of your reps, you should ditch her as soon as possible. Trust me, you don't want to be associated with the 'Weird Girl of Gravesfield'. She's got a violent streak, believe me, she may go off on you out of nowhere."

Luz rolled her eyes again as she said, "Wow, sounds like you're describing a wild animal, Zo."

"I might as well be." Zoe turned her attention back to Ed and Em. "Anyway, wherever it is Luzzer is taking you, I promise I can get you there in style. And afterwards, we can hang. You two are obviously way too cool to be around her."

"Whatever. Ed, Em, just go ahead and go with her. It'll be better for you two in the long run, trust me," Luz insisted.

Edric glanced at Emira, and Emira at Edric. The twins shared a similar thought between them and decided to make it known. Emira hugged Luz's right arm, which caused Luz to blush as she now felt Emira's breasts pressing against said arm. At the same time, Edric draped his right arm over Luz's shoulders, only further enhancing the intensity of Luz's blush.

"Yeah, we'll stick with Luz," said Ed and Em at the same time.

"What?!" Zoe exclaimed.

"What?" Luz questioned dumbfoundedly.

"See, the difference between you and us, is that we don't let someone tell us what's cool and what's not cool," Emira stated.

"We say what's cool, and what isn't. And right now, you're not," Edric remarked.

Zoe's left eye twitched as she shouted, "Excuse me?! I am the most popular girl in school, and in town! I am cool!"

"Says you, but we don't really give a damn," said Edric.

"Luz here was nice enough to show us the way to where we want to go. She's been nothing but helpful to us, and then you and your entourage come along, badmouth her, and tell us she's not worth our time. Seriously, who put you in charge of determining someone's worth?" Emira retorted.

"Uh…I – It still doesn't negate the fact that hanging around her will damage your rep!" Zoe replied.

Edric and Emira glanced at each other once again, and said, "Yeah, this doesn't even register as a dent. So, bye-bye."

Luz remained silent during the entire conversation, even as Emira and Edric started walking, pushing the three of them past Zoe and her entourage, and leaving the popular girl at a loss for words as they all walked away, as if she was nothing. Luz just found herself walking along with them, still feeling embarrassed by the closeness of the twins. Emira was hot, Edric was hot, which only made Luz sweat from how attractive they were. And the fact that they just defended her against Zoe was only the cherry on top. Two total strangers. It was actually nice.

"Y-You guys really didn't have to do that," said Luz. "Now you're going to be on Zoe's shit list so long as you're here."

"Eh, we can take care of ourselves. Besides, she was such a bitch," Edric stated.

"Totally, where does she get off telling us who can hang out with?" Emira agreed.

"Well…I mean, she's not exactly wrong. I am known as the weird girl in town, and I have been violent in the past…for certain reasons," Luz admitted.

Emira and Edric scoffed.

"If it has anything to do with jerks like her, then I say you're completely warranted in throwing some hands," said Emira.

"We may not be here long, but if you want to, we'll hang with you. Sound cool?" Edric asked.

Luz continued to blush as she stammered, "U-Uh, y-yeah! S-Sure! O-Only if you're free, o-of course!"

"Great!" the twins exclaimed.

"So, uh, I know you said you wanted to go to the Owl House, but was there a specific reason?" Luz inquired.

"Hmm, you could say were well wishers on a mission," Edric answered.

"Undertaking a noble quest," Emira added.

Luz wasn't exactly sure how to interpret those responses, but decided to trust that Edric and Emira had some kind of goal in mind in getting to the Owl House. Still, she couldn't shake the feeling familiarity she got from these two for some reason. Edric and Emira continued to follow Luz, still in the same position they were when they left Zoe. Finally, the three of them arrived at the Owl House. Luz opened the front door, making the bell chime, alerting everyone to their arrival.

"Amity! I'm back!" Luz called out.

"Oh, good, you were taking longer than usual." Amity walked out of the storeroom as she continued. "I didn't know if I needed to call you or – ED?! EM?!"

"Hi, Mittens!" Edric and Emira greeted.

Mittens? Luz thought.

Edric and Emira broke off from Luz and immediately rushed towards Amity. The twins quickly enveloped Amity in a hug, sandwiching the poor lavender-haired teen between them. It was a sight that Luz found incredibly hot, and a little irritating. Then it clicked in her head, Amity knew who they were as soon as she saw them. Which could only mean one thing…

THEY'RE SOUL REAPERS!

"Uh…A-Amity, w-who are they and why are they hugging you, and getting all up in your personal space?" Luz asked.

The twins looked at Amity with pouty faces.

"Amity, you didn't mention us. That's cold," said Edric.

"Yeah, after we've known each other for all our lives," Emira added.

"We've bathed together."

BATHED?!

"We've shared secrets."

SECRETS?!

"We even slept together."

SLEPT TOGETHER?!

Amity let out an aggravated grunt as she forced herself out of the hug. She noticed Luz's face, and realized, without context, how what Emira and Edric said could sound. And no doubt Luz was thinking that.

"Luz, no! I know what you're thinking, but it's not what it sounds like!" Amity explained. "They're my brother and sister!"

Luz blinked, then a second time. She focused a little more on Amity's face and compared it to Edric and Emira, and the more she stared at their faces, the more she was able to see some similarities between them.

"Wait, you have siblings?" Luz questioned.

Edric and Emira chuckled as they stood on either side of Amity. Edric leaned his arm on Amity's left shoulder, while Emira did the same on Amity's right.

"Sorry, we figured you knew our baby sister when you said you worked at the Owl House, so we never told you our last name. Let's reintroduce ourselves. My name is Emira Blight."

"And mine's Edric Blight. Sorry for not telling you, Luz. We kinda wanted to keep it a surprise," said Edric.

"Ooooooh, yeah, now with that context, what you said is completely different from what I thought," Luz admitted.

"Ooh, and what did you think we meant, Luz?" Emira asked.

"Uh, nothing!"

Amity released a frustrated sigh as she broke away from Edric and Emira and turned around to face her siblings.

"Okay, why are you two here? Don't you have work you should be doing back home?" Amity asked.

"We took some vacation days," said Edric.

"'Cause we wanted to see how our little sis was doing," Emira added.

"I've sent…texts…about how I've been doing. You didn't need to come all the way here to check up on me."

The twins chuckled.

"Yeah, but there's only so much you can get from a 'text'."

"Which is why we wanted to come and see you in person."

Amity pinched the bridge of her nose as she said, "Okay, you've seen me. And as you can see, everything's just fine. Now, please, kindly, go back home!"

"Oh, Mittens, you're so cold," Emira pouted.

Luz walked up behind Amity and gently placed her hand on her girlfriend's shoulder.

"Hey, c'mon, Amity. They just wanted to see you. They're your familia, and they care about you," said Luz.

"I understand they do, just…ugh…Luz, I know you're an only child and have no siblings, but trust me, these two loves to mess with me when they get the chance," Amity stated.

"Doesn't that come with the territory of being siblings?"

"Yes, but these two…" Amity pointed at the twins, "these two like to go the extra mile, just to make me lose my temper!"

"Kind of like you are now?" Luz pointed out with a smirk.

Amity grumbled as she ran a hand down her face in aggravation.

"C'mon, Ams, they're not all that bad. They literally just put Zoe in her place a little while ago."

"Zoe?!" Amity suddenly turned to face Luz. "Are you alright?! What did that witch say to you?! Did she do anything?!"

Luz blushed as she quickly said, "No, it's alright! I'm alright, really! Ed and Em were there and totally brow beat her; she was stunned stupid. It was really funny to see."

Amity released as sigh of relief upon hearing that.

"Good…Sorry I wasn't there, I would've loved to give her a piece of my mind after what happened at that party," said Amity with an edge to her voice.

"Hey, hey, cálmate hermosa. You know I can handle myself," Luz replied with a smile.

"I know you can…sorry. I just…feel protective, you know?" Amity confessed as she blushed.

Luz scratched the side of her face as she continued to blush.

"I get it, it's okay. But don't be too hard on them, like I said, they really gave it to her."

During Luz and Amity's exchange, the twins couldn't help but notice how the two girls were acting around each other. Amity was looking nervous and blushing, and she did get real protective of Luz when she heard about that Zoe girl. And Luz was smiling and blushing when she saw and heard how Amity was concerned for her wellbeing. But that couldn't be, could it? Not Amity. But then again…

"Hey, sis, think we can talk privately for a bit and catch up?" Edric suggested.

"I have work to do," Amity said immediately.

"Don't you have to take your fifteen? You can take a little longer since I got held up," said Luz.

Amity gritted her teeth as she showed Luz a strained smile.

"Oh…yes…forgot about that…thank you for reminding me, Luz!"
