AN: hey everyone hope you having a nice new year
Next day came too fast for Sunset's liking.
As she waited at the school´s entrance, close to the statue, she couldn't help but look nervously around her.
It was supposed to be just principal Celestia, Vice-principal Luna, she and the girls but for some reason a small group of students were also there looking in expectation at the statue.
For some of the talks she was able to hear, they were talking about princess Twilight´s arrival.
Just how is that so many people knew that Twilight was coming?
Did someone eavesdrop when she told the principal?
Or maybe someone broke into her locker and read her journal?
Maybe she had someone stalking her?!
"Or maybe…" Applejack´s voice broke Sunset out of her thoughts "they saw all of us leaving the principal´s office and decided to follow us? I mean, why else would the principal, the vice principal and us would be walking to the entrance together?"
Sunset blinked…that do sounds reasonable.
"Yeah…you right Applejack that seems the more plausible reason…hehehehe" the red head laughed nervously.
Her country friend raised an eyebrow.
"Are you ok sugar cube?" Applejack asked "you are more nervous than a cat in a dog show"
"Who?! Me?! Nahhhhhh I'm not hahaha I'm not…" Sunset tried only for the blonde to cross arms making her sigh. "Ok maybe I'm a little nervous" she admitted "but how can I not be? Twilight is coming!" she exclaimed.
The blonde girl raised an eyebrow.
"And…?"
"And? And?!" Sunset looked ready to exploded "for her to simply drop everything and come over this fast it means this could be more serious that what we thought" she said in fear tone "what if that Discord guy is more dangerous that we thought and we should have hunt him? What if Twilight thinks we are being nosy peeking into her life like this? What if she thinks I'm to blame for this?!"
As the girl breathed into a paper bag (given by Pinkie Pie) the other girls looked her in various degrees of confusion.
"Ehhh can you connect those two points for us please?" asked Applejack.
"Yeah!" agreed Rainbow "why would Twilight blame you?"
The red head turned to her friend.
"Why? Why not?!" she exclaimed "I brought the element of magic to this world, which somehow brought MAGIC into this world" she began pacing "it already attracted the Sirens, what if this Discord was also attracted by it? What if all this was also result of my stupid decision? What if he is more dangerous of what he is leading and all this video stuff is just an evil plan and we should have stop it the moment we saw it?" she exclaimed breathing harder "what if Twilight holds me responsible and banish me? what if its worst? What if she locks me in jail? Or banish me first and then lock me in a jail in the place she banished me to?" she began breathing onto her bag harder and faster.
The girls looked at each other in worry before Rarity approached the panicking girl.
"Darling, relax" she said putting a calming hand on Sunset´s back "all this worry will only give you white hairs before time" she said actually picking up some strands of the red head´s hair "there is no way Twilight would do that"
"Yeah, and actually…aren't you already banished to this world? So that would mean you will be end up in jail here" said Pinkie Pie.
Rarity sent her pink friend an angry/scowling glare as Sunset began breathing into TWO paper bags at the same time.
"What?" asked Pinkie.
"The point is…Twilight doesn't hold a grudge against you and I'm sure she doesn't would blame you for whatever that…thing…did" finished Rarity.
Sunset looked up not fully convinced.
"They are right Miss Shimmer" called principal Celestia "The reason why princess twilight is answering so quickly might simply be because she is worry about what happened" she gave her opinion "after all, didn't she also rushed here when you informed her about the sirens?"
That did make Sunset think.
"That…is true" she said "she was worry and rushed to get here to help" she said remembering the incident with the Dazzlings …maybe this was only that again? "Maybe this is simply a normal visit to make sure we are all fine and find a solution to this issue" she finished with a more relaxed expression on her face.
In that moment the base of the statue glowed and rippled like water announcing someone crossing it.
"And right on cue" said Rainbow, with the small crowd of students looking in excitement the arrival of their interdimensional-schoolmate/princes/star.
Sunset also smiled and basically ran towards the statue the moment she saw a body passing through.
"Twi…!" she cried in excitement only to freeze after getting a good look at who pass through…and immediately fell on one knee "Princess Twilight"
"Ok...it might not be a simply visit" said Rainbow.
There standing in front of the portal was Twilight Sparkle…with a serious look on her face and the crown of magic proudly on her head.
"Oh! Sunset Shimmer" exclaimed the pony-turned-human noticing the red head "please stand, you know you don't have to do that"
"Gulp…sorry...I think…force of habit at...well…" she gazed at Twilight´s crown.
The purple girl followed her gaze.
"Oh this?" she asked "sorry…a precaution I decided to take just in case we need to access our powers" the princess explained "I think this would be quicker that playing the instruments" she said with a sigh "with Discord one can't be too careful" then she noticed the others "girls!" she cried in excitement.
"Twilight!" Pinkie cried rushing to give her friend a hug "uhhh so happy to see you again…I feel like years have passed since we last saw each other"
"hahaha Pinkie it had been only some weeks" called Twilight with a smile
This broke the others who also rushed to give the equestrian princess a hug.
That made the rest of the students began cheering and greeting the princess.
"it's also good to see you again princess Twilight" said Celestia as she and Luna approached…and proceed to kneel?
"Oh! Please principal Celestia, don't do that" said Twilight feeling embarrassed at the idea of Celestia (princess or not) kneeling before her "if anything I should be one kneeling and asking for forgiveness" she said with some regret in her tone "I should have suspect Discord would try mess with the portal at some point" because why not? That guy love mess with everything and everyone…of course the moment he heard or learn about her portal he would have come pocking at it. "I'm sorry your school had another bad incident with my world´s magic"
Celestia stood with a small smile
"We don't blame you princess so don't worry" said the principal.
"But we do are curious about this Discord" said vice-principal Luna. "Who is he in your world?"
"sigh…" Twilight gave what almost sounded like a defeated sigh "Discord is the spirt of chaos" she started to explain "he…used to be an enemy of Equestria that used his chaotic powers to mess with everything and everyone threating others like his personal toys and laugh at their miseries" she admitted before taking a breath "however after me and my friends beat him…and after he got released by the princess…he was supposed to be…" her tone lowered and she talked almost like holding up a growl "…reformed" she said between her teeth "and have been leaving in…relative peace among us" she finished.
The principal and vice-principal looked at each other…that tone Twilight used…didn't sounded as if she truly believed that.
"So, he is like…good?" asked Rainbow Dash.
"Sigh…its…complicate" said Twilight "he no longer just uses his powers to mess with others…and he is…" low tone "supposedly" back to normal "a great help in case a crisis arrives"
Everyone turned to each other as Twilight´s words…were hard to believe.
"don't take this the wrong side Twilight but" AJ started "if that's true what was all this trapping us and showing us that movie?"
If this Discord is supposed to be a good guy and help Twilight…then why he did what he did?
"Sigh…again I'm sorry for that" said Twilight "Discord still likes to prank and cause some…small scale chaos around, he probably saw this as a way to do so" Twilight lowered her head.
The girls looked at each other.
"oh come on Twi! nothing of that" called Rainbow.
"Yeah, we just got Sunset out of her down mood because she thought you would punish her" added Pinkie.
"What?! Punish her?" said Twilight in surprise "why I would do that?!" she asked looking at her fellow Equestrian.
"Sunset felt her past actions could have led to this incident" said Celestia "and because of that she felt you would be punishing her.
"that's ridiculous!" called the princess of friendship "Sunset, I assure you, you don't have blame on this" said Twilight "Discord doesn't need provocation to cause chaos" she huffed "he is an expert on causing troubles without anyone´s help"
"If so then you also don't need to feel responsible" added Vice-principal Luna "if you have known Discord wanted to use your portal, we are sure you would have stopped him"
At that Twilight looked up with a decided look.
"But of course!" she said "I know Discord and what he is capable of and I wouldn't dare risk exposing this world to his chaotic powers" said the princess "in fact, I left the portal with a shield spell to keep him out and Spike is also guarding it" she assured.
(In Equestria)
A golden light shield covered the portal to Canterlot High.
Around it, books had been arranged to what one could describe as a "book fortress"
Spike marched left to right in front of the fortress carrying a scroll on his shoulders like a bayonet.
(Back to CHS)
"Well, it's not like that freak have done anything to us" said Rainbow Dash "outside of locking us in the cafeteria for like an hour or so nothing else happened" she then crossed her arms "we didn't even lost classes after all"
Ignoring that Sunset took over.
"The time bubble actually ended the moment we finished watching one of those episodes" said the red-haired girl "and no side effects have been reported or noticed"
"And you just have seen one for these…episodes?" asked Twilight still trying to make sense on the fact her friends apparently saw her first adventure in Ponyville in a movie-like format.
"Well…two actually" admitted Sunset "but that's because it seems the first…adventure? Was divided in two parts…and Pinkie Pie wanted to see them together"
Twilight blinked at that…just what in Tartarus was Discord thinking or planning with this?
"After that we have keep the disk locked in my office" finished principal Celestia "no one have had access to it since yesterday."
Twilight nodded at that...at least it seems nothing bad had happened.
"Very well" said the princess "then I think the better would be for me to take the disk back to Equestria to study it and make sure Discord didn't left any other surprise that could affect this world"
The principal and vice-principal looked at each other for a moment.
"About that princess…" said Celestia rubbing her neck nervously "there is something I…WE…" she corrected after a look from her sister "want to talk to you about"
Twilight raised an eyebrow curious about that.
(Principal office-a moment later)
Vice-principal Luna was familiar with the feeling of dread.
That feeling of not knowing what will happen and be forced to wait making your mind taking you to the worst scenarios possible.
It was a feeling she knew how to use to make troublemakers confess their crimes many times to the point she had quite a reputation among the students.
Which it is why she found quite ironic that she (and her sister) was feeling this while she and Celestia looked at the pacing princess in front of the desk.
Twilight hummed; a focused look in her eyes as she paced left to right and then back until she finally stopped.
"You do realize what you are asking, right?" she asked with a business tone and a gaze that demanded the truth.
Yeap…it was moments like this that made Luna remember that, even when she had the looks of a teenager, the girl in front of them was the RULER of an entire nation and, as the video hinted at that, have seen and faced harder situations that any of them.
"I understand your concerns princess Twilight" Celestia talked first "I know the idea of having…strangers gazing upon your life like this couldn't be less that unsettling"
Luna had to make an effort to not huff. Yeah, because apparently having your whole life in video format and watched over by others can be described as unsettling...really smart Celestia
Twilight didn't have an issue with letting out a tired sigh.
"Forget about that" said the princess much to the vice-principal´s surprise "to be honest that you learn about Equestria or me this way is the least of my worries" the princess confessed. After all she do wished she could tell the girls more about her world or her life…even after she managed to create a way to CSH, she never seems to find a moment to drop by "no, what I worry more about is the possible consequences of letting something with Discord´s magic act on this world" she called "I had have first-hand experiences with his magic and let me tell you, they weren't good" she crossed her arms with hidden anger "But in Equestria we have our magic and the elements to allow us counter it if needed" she sighed "here...I'm not sure what could happen"
Both adult women shared a look.
"We understood you fear Twilight" called Celestia "more than anything I wouldn't want to put my students in any risk"
"However, if your Discord is anything like ours…you think he would simply stop after this even if you take the disk away?"
That made Twilight look up in confusion.
"Ex-principal Discord might not have magic himself but when he got an idea on his head he would make it happen...even if it was a bad idea" the principal sweat dropped remembering the time the school board said no to her Discord´s idea of using chocolate milk in the water fountains (talking about how kids would love it)…he still did it…and the milk spoiled by next day…not to mention how sticky it left the fountains.
"You think Discord would try to…contact you again?" asked Twilight.
"He was quite ager to have us react to the contents of that video" said Luna "And it sounds he was expecting us to be in the cafeteria for a while if he went all the effort to use that…time bubble to make sure there wasn't actually repercussion to our stay there"
"What if there is something he wanted from all this? And to get it he tries to be more forceful next time?" asked Celestia "and being honest here and no offence to you princess Twilight… Do you really think he will listen to you and never try cross to this side again?
Twilight thought that up…that do sound like one of Discord´s tricks…he wanted them to do something and even went all the way to make sure they did.
Yet she knew there was a twist in all this. Something HE will get from this…the question was what?
And the principal was right. Discord never listens to her anyways.
Steaming in anger and frustration the princess took a sit.
"Sigh…so you said we should follow his game until we are sure there is no hidden motive or until we find out the real reason of why he is doing this?" asked the Alicorn "still…I don't like the idea of leaving behind anything Discord made without at least make sure its not a danger"
Celestia smiled and nodded at that.
"Totally agree with you princess" said the principal before giving a look at her sister who sighed and began walking towards the door "but I think there is an easy solution for that issue"
Luna opened the door of the office.
WHAM!
And the Rainbooms fell all to the floor.
"isn't that right miss Pie?" finished the principal with an amused smile (not shared by her sister).
"Sigh, told you it won't work" said Sunset walking from behind the door frame.
"Well miss Pie?" asked Celestia still smiling "you think you can help us?"
The pink girl stood from the girl-pile with also a BIG smile on her face.
"Ohhh this means what I think it means?" she asked basically vibrating in place.
Luna rolled her eyes while Celestia giggled.
"Indeed"
"YAAAAAAHHHHHHH" Pinkie exclaimed throwing confetti around "it's time for…"
(CHS-Gymnasium)
"SCREEN TIME!"
Finished the pink girl as she skipped around the gymnasium.
Sits were being prepared as a big white screen was set on the stage and Microchips and Vinyl Scratch were busy setting the projector and speakers.
Around the place students began filling the seats and stands talking in excitement after the principal announced they will be having a second (or third?) look at the disc during lunch time.
Needless to say, basically everyone in the school rushed there as the bell ring.
And of course, the moment she was seen, Twilight was greeted by each arriving student
"Hey Twilight nice to see you" Scribble Dee greeted
"Twilight! So glad so came!" called Blueberry Cake
"Yo! Princess on the house!" Cherry crash high-five her.
"Looking good princess" called Heat Burns
"Rock on Twi!" Brawly Beats called
"Princess Twilight, Hi!" Ditzy called with a smile
"Twilight! You were so awesome…tell me, how it felt to beat an evil space unicorn!" Lyra yelled rushing to the princess grabbing it in a killing hug.
"Lyra leave her alone!" called Bon Bon rushing to push her friend away from the Equestrian princess "sorry Twilight…she has been quite excited since yesterday"
Twilight chuckled at the mint haired girl´s aptitude.
"Its..ok..its better to hear you guys had fun and not another…" she rubbed her arm trying to think a word.
"Life-threating situation that came for the likes of you or Sunset messing with OUR world?"
Twilight groaned not needing to turn to know the owner of that voice.
"Hello Trixie" the princess greeted.
The girl in question only crossed her arms not looking impressed at the princess
"HEY! Back off you second-rate-magician!" yelled Rainbow Dash rushing in "what are you doing here anyways?"
Trixie scoffed.
"I will let you know THE GREAT AND POWERFUL TRIXIE!" she cried in loud tone "was coming to see if miss princess over here would finally gave Sunset a proper punishment but alas it seems I was wrong"
Twilight sighed.
"Different world same Trixie it seems" grunted the Alicorn before addressing the magician "First of all Trixie, Sunset is not responsible for any that is happening" said Twilight in firm voice "meaning there is no punishment needed so I would appreciate you don't talk about my friend like that" she added with a narrowed look.
Trixie wasn't impressed.
"Tch just because you have that dumb crown don't you think you can order THE GREAT AND POWERFUL TRIXIE!"
BANG!
"coff coff"
The girls coughed as the magician set lose another of her smoke bombs.
"YEAH THAT'S RIGHT...RUN AWAY!" called Rainbow in anger "seriously no one is forcing her to be here" she huffed in anger.
"Sigh…Trixie being Trixie" said Twilight "let's just...ignore her for now"
"Although I do have to wonder" Bon Bon continued "what's the reason we are doing another screening?" the candy haired girl was quite sure Twilight would have taken away that disk back to her land…after all, if it was true it holds personal and private information about her and her land, wouldn't it be safer take it away before something sensitive was seen?
"Principal Celestia and I want to make sure there is no negative effects at using the disk" answered the Alicorn "To be honest having you guys learn about Equestria this way is actually not bad idea...a bit unorthodox but if it shows all the adventures I had with my friends it could be quite educational about the dangers and wonders of my world"
Bon Bon blinked at that…was the princess being serious...and so trusting about sharing info about her world with them? Just like that?
"THAT'S GREAT!" exclaimed Lyra in excitement "ohh I cant wait to see all the magical duels, and evil wizards, ohh specially more unicorns…and dragons!" for a moment Twilight wondered if the mint haired girl was related to Pinkie pie for the size of the smile she was gaining.
Bon bon just sighed.
"Breath Lyra" she said rolling her eyes before taking hold of her friend and push her towards the seats "I can tell this will be a LONG viewing"
Rainbow shook her head.
"Can tell that girl will have her hands full with Lyra" she said
Twilight gave a nervous chuckle.
"In every world…" she mustered "but I suppose we should also get a sit" she added noticing Microchips and Vinyl Scratch giving a thumbs up at Celestia who moved towards the stage "it seems they have everything ready"
"Seems so" said Rainbow as she and the princess moved to the stands.
"Twilight over here!" Sunset called with Pinkie Pie at her left.
"hey Sunset..thanks for saving me a seat" said the princess.
"No problem...I do was saving a spot for someone else too so saving another seat close by wasn't hard" the red head explained pointing to the empty spot at Twilight´s right.
"And there is nothing better that have central seats to see a movie" called Pinkie Pie excited "I brought Popcorn!" she pulled to bags of the treat out her hair.
"uhh neat!" called Rainbow from the row belong reaching up for a bag "Thanks Pinkie" she said before handing it to Fluttershy next to her
"Yes, Indeed Pinkie Pie darling" said Rarity from the row above Pinkie´s also reaching for a bag.
"Can't see a movie without them" called Applejack sitting next to the fashionista.
The pink haired girl smiled before turning to her right pulling another two bags out
"Here you go Sunset, Twilight?" she offered.
Sunset grabbed the bag giving a thankful smile at Pinkie pie.
"Thanks Pinkie but think I'm fine" said Twilight "to be honest I don't think I could eat anything" she added with a nervous tone.
The other girls shared some worry looks.
"You ok there sugarcube?" asked Applejack
"sigh…not really" said Twilight "I'm still...not totally comfortable with letting Discord´s game continue"
Sunset got a bit uncomfortable.
"Me neither if I'm honest" the red head sighed "but at least now we are playing it on our terms" she blinked "or that's what the principal hopes"
"Sigh and I get it…this way we can find out if Discord´s magic has a bad effect in this world while also trying to see if he had any hidden motives without risking him trying something more extreme...and will agree sharing Equestria´s culture with you guys is a nice bonus" continued the princess "but I still can't help but be unease at the idea of letting DISCORD´S MAGIC act in this world" she sighed "I'm just...worry something could happen I suppose"
The Rainbooms gave each other a worry look.
"Hey relax Twilight we got this!" called Rainbow Dash "if that creep has anything under his non-existence sleeve, we will beat it no problem!" she said with confidence.
"We have already faced against some big baddies…I don't think this mix-smash critter will give us much issues" said Applejack.
Twilight sighed again.
"Wish I have that confidence Applejack, but I have faced him before and he can be a threat when he wants" said the princess "not to mention you are never sure what he will do next" she added with an angry huff "honestly I'm not sure if I will be able to remain calm during this"
Sunset smiled.
"Oh I think we can do that something about it" she said with a mischievous look as she greeted someone "Hey Flash I saved you a spot! You don't mind sitting next to Twilight, right?"
Twilight became still like a deer in front of a car light as a male voice answered.
"Not at all" Flash Sentry said as he sat at Twilight´s right "hey Twilight…happy to see you again" he added with a smile.
The equestrian princess felt her face heating up.
"oh hey Flash..hey..hehehe Flash.. I already greet you" she giggled nervously.
"Well, hey again to you too" said the boy with a sincere smile.
"hehehe sorry I'm just…well…"
"Worry about what we could see?" asked Flash.
Twilight blinked.
"not..really…I mean…I did have plenty of bad moments" she sighed "but I'm just worry this could end up being another bad magical experience for you guys"
Flash smiled at her touched by her worry.
"Hey don't worry Twilight" said the boy "if anything this has been quite a great experience" he said making the girl turn to him "well…" he scratched his head "we knew you were cool...but man seeing you go against that Nightmare Moon pony? Whoa...you were incredible"
Twilight blushed and looked away.
"I...well…I mean...I didn't do all on my own" she said pushing a strand of hair behind her ear "I had help from my friend so can't take all the credit"
Flash smiled and moved an inch closer
"That doesn't take away the fact you were so awesome…and brave…you knew she was dangerous and you still faced her down"
Twilight let out a couple of giggles and inched closer to him too.
"You think so?"
"I know so" said the boy.
Around them the other members of the Rainbooms smiled (AJ and Sunset), giggled (Rarity), Looked touched (Fluttershy), rolled their eyes (Rainbow Dash) or simply looked at the scene excited (Pinkie Pie).
Yeah...Twilight will be ok.
They turned to the stage where Celestia began clapping to call everyone´s attention.
"Students? Students!" she called making everyone turn to the stage "Thank you…now im sure everyone is excited about being able to continue watching the disk" cheers from everyone (sans Trixie...and Twilight) "however I'm going to be clear that we are doing this with princess Twilight´s permission so we can make sure the disk is actually safe to use"
"Not to mention we are basically peeking into her personal life so all of you better be sure to thank her that she is letting us continue" added Luna glaring at everyone.
Twilight felt quite embarrassed as more than one turned to her giving her thanks…or to say sorry in Derpy´s case.
"Also, we would like to know if everyone has suffered any type of sequel or side effects from the first and this viewing" continued Celestia in a more somber tone "only as precaution to make sure messing with this type of magic is not dangerous"
This made more than one to whisper or look frighten as no one had thought about that possibility.
"If you think is dangerous, why are we doing this?" asked Trixie with some anger. "shouldn't you give the disk then to miss pony princess over there so she could take it back to horseland?"
Rainbow looked at the magician in anger and looked ready to punch her,
"First of all is Equestria" called Twilight "Secondly we are asking this as a precaution as I'm not sure if using time magic in this world could have side effects" she continued "but for what Sunset have told me it seems nothing out the ordinary is happening"
Trixie tched.
"Oh, sure because we can trust miss demon over there"
Applejack and Rainbow stood up in anger.
"THAT COMMENT WASN'T NECESSARY TRIXIE!" yelled the country girl in anger while Fluttershy and Rarity sent support looks at Sunset.
"Students calm down!" called Celestia.
"But they are right miss Lulamoon" said Luna with a frown "another of those comments and you will expend the day in detention!"
The magician just huffed but remained in her place with Rainbow giving her a last glare.
"We know this sounds...unsettling" continued the principal "but we are not forcing anyone to remain here…you know what the spell will do once we put the disk in the computer so if anyone would prefer NOT participate in the viewing you can go"
At that many students looked at each other…some wondering and murmuring allow between them.
Some looked a bit unsettled but it didn't seem they were afraid of continue as none made a move towards the door.
Not even Trixie moved.
After a moment the principal nodded.
"Very well...then I think we can begin! She said before turning to the two students at the controls "Microchip? Miss, Vinyl? All ready?"
The blue haired musician smiled giving a thumbs up.
"All ready and operational principal" said Microchip "have the laptop connected all we need is the disk"
Celestia nodded and Luna approached to the students holding a case with the disk inside.
Many were quite excited as the vice-principal moved to the computer and inserted the disk; Although Twilight resumed her more apprehensive look almost ready to jump into a fight
Immediately the magical flash of the first time emerged moving to cover the gymnasium.
FLASH!
Only to be intercepted and neutralized by a second flash.
Everyone blinked in surprise.
More as the doors to the gymnasium were still open.
"Ehhh what just happen?" asked Rainbow confused.
"I think I know" said Twilight looking up to her crown…the element of magic was glowing a soft lavender light "Discord´s magic can be neutralized by the elements of harmony" said the princess pointing to her crown "I think my crown reacted to the time spell and put a stop to it"
"Ahh does that mean we can't see the movie?" called Pinkie Pie disappointed.
"No, the disk seems to be still working" called Luna as the projector was showing the menu screen with the next episode (Ticket master) already selected.
"yaaaahhhh"
"umm the contents of the disk aren't affected...only the spell" said Twilight "this is good as mean there won't be any risk related to the time bubble…"
"Well, no time stopped also means lunch probably will pass with us watching this" said Celestia.
"Don't worry principal me and Applejack have it cover!" called Pinkie Pie before zooming around leaving popcorn bags and apple cider bottles for everyone.
Everyone celebrated and waited for the episode to start.
"Well…I suppose that's one less thing to worry about" sighed Twilight.
"Seems so" said Flash holding a bag and two bottles "popcorn?" he offered to the Equestrian girl.
