"Come on, come on, pick up..."

Garfield was calling Robin. However, he wasn't having much luck, because it was almost three in the morning. The changeling yawned, phoning Robin one more time.

"Hello...?" Robin drowsily responded.

"Robin, I need your help."

A snore sounded through the phone.

"Robin!"

"Yeah, woah, yeah, what's up, Gar?"

Garfield's voice was stiff, "It's kind of an emergency. It's Raven."

"Oh, boy. What's going on?"

"It'll be better for me to explain when you get here."

"Alright, I'm on my way."

Twenty minutes felt like forever, but in that time, Robin arrived at Garfield and Raven's house. The former leader opened the front door, made his way up the stairs, then knocked on the couple's room door.

Garfield asks, "Who is it?"

"Robin."

"Come on in."

Robin opens the door, "Why'd you ask who it was? Are you expecting other guests?"

"I'm not, but you never know. Coulda been an evil Robin clone for all I know." Garfield chuckled.

"Raven?"

Robin's attention instantly draws to his friend. Raven was lying on the bed, on her back, with a blank stare to the ceiling.

"Where's her red stone?"

"Right here." Garfield pulls out an old, black jewelry gift box.

"It was late at night a few days back. As a matter of fact, it was early in the morning... I don't know. Some time when night was crossing over into the day," the changeling starts, opening the box, "Raven screamed, jumping out of her sleep. I kept asking her what was wrong, and she kept this absent look on her face." Garfield sits on the mattress beside his girlfriend.

Even though she's desensitized to touch, he holds her hand, and plants a loving kiss on it.

Robin glanced at the demon-hybrid, "Kind of like the one she has now?"

"Yeah. She was breathing heavily for a bit after that, and then when I asked her what was wrong again... she started talking about things."

"Expound on that."

"She said something about the gate between Heaven and Hell, some fire on her back, and fire around her as she walked. Right after that, Rae started sweating, so I got her some water. She didn't even realize I got her something to drink. Then, Raven talked about some place where she'd be, where she didn't have to worry about getting hurt anymore."

"Oh, no." Robin's face displayed concern.

"It gets worse. Her chakra breaks out of nowhere. Raven didn't bleed, she didn't flinch, she showed no response at all. Not long after that, she points somewhere over there," Garfield gestures towards an area with books and furniture, "and she mentions a light. A light that's gonna make her feel better, and Raven says she has to go to it."

"Not good, not good," Robin attempts to process the circumstance, "From what I'm seeing, she hasn't snapped out of this fog ever since her chakra broke?"

"Correct. I've been searching cover to cover in her books for some sort of explanation. I figured maybe this was some sort of demonic shedding process she has to go through, and she never told me,"

Robin's gaze journeys to the pile of books on the floor. If that was the proof he needed that this was dire, it was there. Raven never had her books touch anywhere but her hands.

"I didn't get anywhere with the research, but something's wrong with Rae, and I have no idea what it is."

Robin exhaled deeply, raking his hand through his hair. Robin was always one not to show his distress, but right now, he was feeling tense.

"The light... Gar, I'm going to ask you something, and I need you to be completely honest."

The changeling nods.

"Do you know if Raven has had any history of suicidal ideations, or depression?"

"She's been struggling with depression for years on end, but I can't pinpoint a time where I've witnessed Raven having suicidal behavior."

"It's a given, she's the daughter of a demon lord. I don't think anyone with so much emotional pressure could be perfect in terms of a psychological state. I don't mean any harm when I say that, but it's the truth."

"Oh, no, you're totally right. Rae also has signs of anxiety, but I think she ignores that... just like everything else concerning her emotions. She's always in a state of denial, and acts like she's a steel wall, when she isn't."

A tense silence enters the room.

Garfield asserts, "Rae's completely out of it. I mean, I have to take care of her hygiene, which I don't mind. To make matters worse, she isn't even eating or drinking. At all. I've tried," his voice trembles slightly, "I've lit candles, read her some of her favorite books, I've hugged her, I've kissed her, I've talked to her, I've banged pots, splashed some cold water on her face, I even told a joke, and hoped that something would bring her back. Bring her back to me."

"My goodness."

"Then a while after her being silent for so long, she went through these rapid episodes of emotion. She laughed, she cried, then she got scared, then she got angry. It was not stopping for like two hours. Rae just recently calmed down, she just had another phase. It woke me up out of my sleep, and I just needed help to be honest."

"I don't know if it's safe to assume this yet, but maybe those emotional attacks are linked to her Emoticlones?"

"They could be. Sometimes it's normal for Raven to slip out of her usually calm, collected self, and into other emotions, but it's nothing like what she's going through now."

"I'll tell you what. While she's calm, let's bring her to the hospital."

The green adolescent heats up instantly, "Robin, do you know Raven!? Even if she doesn't blow the building to bits with her magic, Raven isn't human. The doctors are not gonna know how to assess and deal with a demon."

"Sorry, I'm not thinking straight, you're right." Robin rubs his mask sleepily.

Garfield sighs, reigning himself back in. It registers to him that it's way past midnight, and both him and Robin are tired, stressed, worried, and managing other negative emotions.

"Don't be sorry, I didn't mean to lash out on you like that."

"It's alright. The next best plan I have is for us to call Cyborg over and see if he can help us out. He's got plenty of equipment and the brains to tackle this. Plus, he's very familiar with all of our genetic make ups, body statistics, the whole nine yards." Robin dials his phone, calling Cyborg.

It takes a while for Robin to get through to his friend, because Cyborg is a deep sleeper. Robin explains a short version of the current situation, then Cyborg reports he is on his way.

Within a short while, Cyborg pulls up to the house. He's got a first aid kit, blood pressure machine, a stethoscope, and other materials at his disposal.

"Yo, Wires. You musta been knocked out cold." Garfield laughs, dapping up his pal.

Robin fist-pumps the half-robot, "No kidding, I called you like four times before you answered. Are you on "Do not Disturb"?"

""Do not Disturb"? Nah, Cy's deep in dreamland. Watchya dreamin about, ya giiiiiirl?" Garfield teased.

"Keep playin' and I knock all of the dreams out of ya green, skinny self." Cyborg threatens, taking out his materials.

Garfield scoffs, shaking his head in amusement.

Cyborg reasons, "Okay, her heartbeat seems normal. Her body temperature is about sixty-eight degrees Fahrenheit..."

"Yeah, that's a little lower than usual. Her normal temperature is seventy-four degrees."

"So, she's not eating or drinking?"

"Nope."

"G, this isn't good. Her skin's paling and becoming dry. She's dehydrated, which is putting her at risk for many things. Loss of strength and stamina, weight loss, anxiety, and more," Cyborg claims, inspecting Raven some more.

"Has she slept since her stone split?"

Garfield informs, "No. It's either she's like this, or is having mental attacks."

"Sleep deprivation is another problem we've got goin' on here," Cyborg examines Raven's eyes, "It's weird, you'd expect to see red, baggy eyes when someone doesn't get enough sleep. However, Rae isn't showing any of those signs... maybe it's a part of her demon biology. While she isn't showing external symptoms, I'm sure she's having internal ones. Besides the fact that she's delirious, having an insufficient amount of sleep can cause her cognitive issues. It can also put Raven at a risk of high blood pressure, weakened immunity, and memory problems."

It was overwhelming. All of the pressure that was put on Garfield to get Raven better. He felt like he was responsible for her well being, and he was absolutely helpless. Garfield felt like the more he tried to help, the more he was falling short.

"Rae, I know you're in there..." his voice breaks, a warm tear sliding down his cheek.

Robin rests his hand on Garfield's shoulder for comfort.

"We're gonna need more help than I can give, guys." Cyborg exhaled, pressing the screen on his arm.

"Robin already suggested that we go to the hospital, it doesn't make sense."

"Who said we goin' to the hospital? We're goin' back to the base. I'm running through a list I have here, and everything I need is back at the Med Bay in the tower."

Again, the Titans moved out of the tower and into places of their own. Cyborg decided to keep the tower in case any emergency were to happen.

"You're a genius." Garfield smiles dimly.

Cyborg playfully pokes his head, "Half computer and half human goes hard."

The boys snicker, feeling some light in the heaviness of the present.

Cyborg begins to pack up the equipment.

Robin speaks gently to Garfield, "Raven's going to be alright, I promise."

The changeling isn't fully reassured, and shifts his anxious gaze back to his partner. Garfield's jade eyes lose their spark. He moves his hand from Raven's, then cards it through her hair.

Garfield looks Raven in the eyes, but she isn't looking back at him.
