NOTE: A new chapter so soon? Yeah, I'm just getting the new story cranks out. Yes, some alien names will be different, because Haruka is letting the other kids help name the aliens. I'll leave a list of their names and stuff.

Enjoy and Review!

Chapter 2: Prehistoric Trouble

Screams and sirens echoed throughout the streets of northern Ryukyu, one of the office buildings currently engulfed in flames. A large crowd had gathered together to see the fire department working on putting the flames out as the police tried to keep civilians back. While the fire department's efforts to keep the flames from spreading were succeeding, their efforts on getting inside to save the rest of the people in danger wasn't working out.

Within the building, the few office workers left were frozen in terror, unable to get past the raging flames threatening to roast their hides. The smoke filling the air wasn't much of a comfort either, filling their lungs in effort to suffocate them. Above them, a part of the ceiling had weakened from the flames and was about to crush them.

BLAST!

A ball of flame exploded the debris in time, surprising the office workers. "Phew! It's a good thing I managed to find you all in time!" Entering the burning office was one of the strangest creatures they had ever seen. Standing in front of them was at least clearly feminine, her chest and curves giving the gender away. Her body consisted entirely of molten rocks and flames, her rocky face was surrounded by flames, which trailed down her back as if it were her hair. On her chest was a pink hourglass symbol.

The office workers would've screamed in fear if it wasn't for the fact that there was smoke in the air. The fiery lady raised her hands in a peaceful manner. "D-don't be afraid! I'm Heatblast and I'm here to get you guys out!"

CRACK!

Her eyes widened, realizing that the floor beneath them was about to give out. She needed to act quickly before they could get roasted in a fiery grave. "No time to take this slowly! Just trust me on this!" Propelling herself with a boost of flames, Heatblast spun her body thanks to using her flames as propulsion. A tornado of fire came to life and swallowed up the terrified office employees and then bursted out of the building as the floor finally gave out.

Everyone outside of the building was mesmerized by the flaming tornado as it touched down on the concrete by the fire trucks. The flames dissipated to reveal Heatblast and the unharmed office workers, who were utterly surprised by the fact that they were alive.

Heatblast mentally patted herself on the back for pulling that trick off. "Heh, and Shiro said that all of that practice on tricks was a waste of time!" She was totally gonna bring this up once she got home to the orphanage.

TZZT!

Heatblast heard the audio scratch of a radio and turned her attention to the police officers. "Responding! What's happening?" The officer talked into the radio.

"The fire was just a diversion! The culprits are escaping with money stolen from several ATMs!"

"Where are they?!"

"They're taking the main roads towards downtown!"

"On it-" He was interrupted by Heatblast taking off towards the night skies, confusing them on where this weird fiery savior was heading off to. However, one person in the crowd had heard the radio conversation as well and knew where she was going.

Kiryu furrowed his brows, wishing that she hadn't rushed off so quickly. He knew there was no way to catch up to her on foot, so his best bet would be transportation. But the ex-Yakuza didn't own a car and a taxi might take too long. He eventually spotted a bike leaning against the wall across the street.

"There!" He rushed towards it and grabbed the bike. "Sorry to whoever this belongs to, I'll be sure to turn it into a police station afterwards!" Kiryu felt the Essence of Bike Riding burning within him and pedaled like an athletic star to follow the bright streak in the sky.

The two crooks high-fived each other as they managed to shake off the police. In the backseat were large bags of stolen money from several convenience stores. "Cops are gone, bags filled with money, and the streets are cleared of any obstacles! I'd say it's a night well spent!" The first thief boasted.

"Oh yeah!" His partner agreed. "A perfect case of distraction, made by me, of course!" He boasted, puffing his chest out.

The first thief rolled his eyes. "Yeah, yeah, don't get a big-huh?" He saw something bright in the rearview mirror and it looked as if it was getting closer. "What the hell is-"

BOOM!

The fireball exploded against the back left wheel of their car, causing the vehicle to go off course. The thief behind the wheel managed to slow the car down enough before they crashed into a street lamp, but the force was more than enough to completely wreck the car.

Heatblast landed behind the car, pointing her finger threateningly like a gun. "Step out of the car, criminals before someone gets hurt!"

Too disoriented to see what was threatening them, the criminals stumbled out of the car. "Now hands against the wall!" Once again, they managed to do as told. "Good, now stay there till the police arrive! Maybe, you two will learn to rethink your life choices of turning to crime in-"

FLASH!

"-Prison…" Haruka blinked, having not been paying attention to realize the watch was beeping. Now she was back to normal, standing in a pose that made her look like a dork, and two criminals who were recovering from the crash. "Uh oh…"

Confused by the higher sounding voice, the criminals turned around to see Haruka, who was trying to sneak away. Realizing they had caught her, the 12-year-old smiled nervously and waved her hand. "Uh…hi?"

"It's just a little girl!" One of the crooks said.

"I'm sure that you guys have realized the errors of your ways and are willing to surrender to the police and go to jail?" Haruka hoped.

"No."

"Worth a shot…" She sighed, then backed away as they started walking towards her. Her eyes darted at the watch and cursed at the red symbol. "Oh, how I wish you could recharge faster…!"

The first one made a grab for her, but before he could reach a bigger hand roughly gripped his wrist. The criminal was about to attack whoever decided to get in his way, but his eyes ended meeting the dark anger of a dragon. Next thing he knew, he was lifted into the air before getting smashed head first into the concrete.

The second thief gasped in shock. "Hey! Who the hell do you think you are?!"

Kiryu cracked his knuckles. "Don't worry about that. The next thing you'll be seeing is your prison cell." His words angered the crook, who charged with a raised fist, but found his attack easily stopped. Kiryu bent the man's wrist in an awkward position before pulling him in for a devastating left hook.

Haruka could never stop being amazed by the way her Uncle Kaz efficiently deals with such fodder. But there was something else burning on her mind. "Uncle Kaz?! What are you doing here?!"

Kiryu raised a brow. "Watching out for you."

"I told you I could handle this, didn't I?" Haruka huffed.

He didn't respond verbally and just pointed at the unconscious criminals. The reminder of her little blunder caused Haruka's cheeks to light up red. "I-I had the situation under control before the watch timed me out. If it hadn't been for that, then everything would've been fine."

"Still, it's too dangerous to let you handle all of this on your own. You're just a young girl-"

"So?! I have this watch now! I'm not helpless anymore, Uncle Kaz! I can handle things on my own just fine!" Haruka huffed before turning away from him.

Kiryu watched his daughter walk away and sighed. He grabbed the bike he had borrowed (stolen) and quickly followed after the fuming Haruka. The Dragon of Dojima wondered if there were any parenting guides about developing adolescents with super powers.

But first he needed to see if he could afford a car.

Shiro enjoyed the soft breeze given to their beachfront this afternoon. Most of his adopted siblings were spending the time getting their after school homework done. Luckily, he was one of the few who made sure to get most of his work done early as soon as he got home to have some time to himself. Especially since his Uncle Kaz bought him the latest magazine that had come out last week.

Flipping through the pages, he found an interesting article, one that seemed to protein Okinawa. "Huh? An Award?" He squinted his eyes at the news article. "The International Academic Science Association announces that the Verities Award Ceremony is set to be held in Okinawa." He read the article out loud to himself.

"Weird, I guess they didn't let the whole robot attack get in the way." He mumbled as his eyes continued scanning the article.

"Oh no…!"

"Hm?" Shiro looked up from his magazine to see Izumi and Haruka walking out of the house. "Is something the matter?"

Haruka noticed him. "Oh, Shiro! Are you done with your homework?"

"Yeah, I finished it as soon as I got home." He answered. Shiro saw the dejected air that was surrounding Izumi. "What's wrong with Izumi?"

The youngest looked up at him, then pointed at the dog house sitting at the side of the yard. "We ran out of dog food for Mame! I'm just upset that I hadn't noticed we were so low beforehand." She felt guilty for putting their pet in danger of potentially starving. Uncle Kaz had put her in charge of taking care of him, so this was all her fault.

Haruka shook her head, softly patting Izumi's head. "It's not your fault, Izumi. Mame isn't in any danger of starving, especially once we go and buy his food with the money Uncle Kaz gave us." Her words managed to cheer Izumi up a bit.

"Right!" The little girl grew determined to buy more food for their dog.

"We're heading to the pet shop in the shopping district. You wanna come with us, Shiro?" Haruka offered.

Shiro looked down at his magazine and then back at the girls. "Sure, I don't mind helping out. Just let me put this back in my room, so I can finish reading it later." He hurried back into the house to stash his magazine where the others won't potentially mess with it.

The three Morning Glory siblings arrived in Ryukyu's shopping district, navigating through the insanely crowded section of people. It was always busy due to tourists, but due to the robot attack last week it seemed like people's desires to see the city of Ryukyu and most of Okinawa had grown a bunch. "Guess wishing for a quick shopping trip was too much to ask." Haruka sighed before grabbing the hands of her little siblings. "Stay close to me, so that we don't get lost in the crowd.

"Alright!" Izumi agreed, while Shiro just nodded his head.

Eventually they made it to the pet shop without any complications. The small shop had several small pets lined up outside to advertise themselves. A man dressed in a blue button up, jeans, and a green apron stood outside with several bags and bowls to feed the animals their daily nutrients. He turned around to greet them as they approached the store. "Hello? How can I help you?"

Haruka released her siblings' hands to wave at him. "Hello, we're hoping to purchase some dog food for our pet."

"Well, then you kids came at the right time. I was just about to close up shop for the day, but I couldn't turn away a couple of kids in need." The clerk smiled at them.

Izumi, eternally grateful, gave a huge smile. "Thanks, Mr-"

BOOM!

"AAAAAAAHHHHH!"

Quickly, Haruka huddled the younger kids close to her as people began to scream and run from the sudden explosion. "W-what just happened?!" Shiro asked, adjusting his glasses. Haruka was trying to figure that out, but figured the best way to find out was to go to the source of the explosion. "You two stay here!" She ordered and took off in the opposite direction that people were running.

"Haruka!" Izumi tried to follow, but Shiro stopped her.

The daughter of Kiryu pushed past people, fighting through the opposing current. Her smaller frame made it difficult, but she wasn't going to let something like this stop her. "What could even be causing all this panic? Did another one of those robots show up for…the…watch?" Haruka's mental questioning stopped as she came face to face with the source.

Standing in front of the giant hole in the wall was a massive, mutated frog with six eyes and two large horns. Sitting on top of the frog was a strange man with pale green skin and shoulder-length white hair. Attached to his upper body were several pieces of weird technology and goggles. "Go, my pet! We shall raid this center for all of its usefulness!" The frog responded to his orders by using its tongue to rob several pieces of electrical equipment in the shopping center.

Getting over her shock of the giant frog, Haruka stepped up. "Hey! What do you think you're doing?! Stealing is wrong, ya know?!"

The weird man glanced down at her, utterly unconcerned. He didn't need to say the order for his frog to attack her, its tongue shooting at her like a whip. Unprepared for the attack, Haruka was knocked away into a food stall. "Don't be a hero, kid. Run along and play." He warned her before marching further into the shopping center with his frog.

Haruka, after recovering from the attack, glared at the weird guy and his frog. She reached for the watch to transform, but stopped once she realized a whole bunch of people were staring at her. "Great…a bad guy is on the loose and I can't even transform without giving away my identity. What's even over in that direction anyway-" She stopped her grumbling once she realized that Shiro and Izumi were in that direction. "Izumi! Shiro!" Haruka scrambled to her feet and chased after the frog.

"You kid sure she'll be alright?" The clerk decided to watch over the kids until their sister came back.

Izumi nodded her head. "Yeah! Haruka is a super-MGFGH!" Her mouth was covered by Shiro.

"She means to say that Haruka will be alright. She just doesn't want us to get caught up in all of the panic." Shiro covered up Izumi's blunder.

STOMP!

"Hello~! What do we have here?" The three froze, turning to the source of the voice and staring in fear of the scientist and his frog. The clerk quickly pulled the kids away as the scientist's attention turned to the pets outside the shop. "Yes, you lot should serve nicely as tests for my Transmodulator!" Turning the huge dial on his chest, the antennas on his helmet fired a red beam at one of the pets.

Izumi, Shiro, and the clerk were treated to the horrific show of the animal undergoing a twisted evolution. The lizard had grown to monstrous size, roaring loudly enough to shake the interior of the shopping center. "W-what did you do to them?!" The clerk demanded.

"Science, you idiotic fool!" The weirdo answered. "Behold the new process of species evolution as I, Dr. Aloysius James Animo, welcome the new age upon this world and reclaim what is rightfully mine!" The dangerous man grinned maliciously down at them.

Shiro stared at the man in shock, horrified that this man claimed to be a doctor. Becoming one was his dream and it hurt to hear this wacko claim himself to be one. "E-evolution? A doctor? You can't be one! Doctors are supposed to help people, not force genetic changes upon them!" He exclaimed in a rare act of bravery.

"Really? Then allow me to show you how helpful my process is!" Dr. Animo pointed at them. "Kill them and make them the first example of my new age!" The lizard stomped towards them as the three trembled with fear.

Suddenly, a discarded soda can smacked the lizard in the head, taking its attention from the kids and clerk. Haruka glared at the overgrown reptile and motioned towards herself. "Hey! Pick on someone your own size!"

"REEEEE!" The lizard screeched and sprinted at the young hero. Turning on her heels, Haruka took off down the hall, maneuvering around the obstacles in her path. She looked back just in time to see the lizard jumping for her. Acting quickly, she rolled out of the way to let the reptile smash a cart full of paint, blinding it with the colorful liquid.

Seeing this as her chance, Haruka looked around for anything that could help her trap the monstrous reptile. Luckily, she found a storage room just down the hall. "Perfect!" She exclaimed and then turned back to the lizard. "Hey! You want me, right?! Come and get me!" Haruka once again started running with the lizard giving chase while partially blind.

This worked out in her favor as the reptile would be too blinded to tell what was going on, which allowed her to lead it into the storage room. Due to its blindness and speed the lizard crashed into the crates, ladders, and shelves of the storage room. All of the objects toppling over it and trapping it successfully. Haruka closed the doors to the storage garage, having turned the locks on the inside doors to keep it closed. "And that's how you get it done!" She did a cute pose she saw in a Magical Girl anime.

"STUPID GIRL!" Haruka's self-celebration was stopped by Animo's shout. She looked over to see he and his frog had stomped over to her location. In his hands was a bird cage, holding a chirping parakeet. "Don't think you've stopped me! I will enter this pathetic age into a prehistoric utopia!" He declared before zapping the parakeet with his device.

Haruka, now finally witnessing the act of the mutation, backed away slightly as the monstrous parakeet screeched ferociously. Dr. Animo jumped off his frog and onto the back of the large bird, the newly mutated animal flew through the skylight with the frog following after them.

With the threat of the insane scientist over and having witnessed the young girl's bravery, the shopping center exploded into cheers and applause. Haruka blushed from the sudden praise and attention, not used to receiving such in her human state. But she couldn't help but feel accomplished in her victory today.

"HARUKA!" She saw Izumi, Shiro, and the clerk running over to her. Izumi jumped into her arms, hugging Haruka tightly. "You were so awesome, Haruka! You kicked that thing's butt!"

"Y-yeah! That was pretty cool!" Shiro agreed.

The clerk, though upset that two of his pets had been horribly mutated, was thankful for Haruka's bravery and heroism. "Young lady, I cannot thank you enough for what you've done. I'm sure everyone here would agree that if you need or want anything at all, we'd be more than happy to give it to you."

"R-really?" Haruka blinked at him.

"Yes!"

"In that case…" She looked down at her siblings then back at him. "I guess we could use some of that dog food."

"Of course, I'll give you as much as you want!" He rushed back to his shop.

Haruka smiled to herself, allowing a bit of cockiness to build up for once. "See, Uncle Kaz, I handled the entire situation on my own without even transforming! I bet you'll agree that everything that happened was-"

"Incredibly reckless."

"WHAT?!"

Back at Morning Glory and after giving Mame his dog food, Haruka had given her end of the story of the day's event to her family. They were all sitting at the living room table as the news played in the background. The eldest stared at her father with confusion. "How was that reckless, Uncle Kaz?!"

"Don't get me wrong, Haruka. I'm happy that you saved Shiro and Izumi from getting hurt, but you still charged into a situation recklessly." Kiryu explained.

"But I still stopped that lizard!" She pointed at the TV, where animal control and the police were seen apprehending the large reptile.

"Yet you put yourself in danger when you should've prioritized getting yourself and the others out of there."

"And just leave those people in danger?!" Haruka growled.

Kiryu shook his head, feeling like the conversation was derailing. "That's not what I meant."

"Sure, sounds like it…" Haruka huffed, turning back to her food.

Hoping to move past the awkward atmosphere created, Ayako shifted her attention to Shiro. "Uh… Shiro! What's bothering you?" Her question got his attention.

He looked up from his science magazine. "O-oh…!" He blushed a bit from everyone's attention. "I-I was just thinking about what Dr. Animo said before he escaped from the shopping district."

"What do you mean?" Haruka asked.

Adjusting his glasses, Shiro grabbed the laptop he had taken from Kiryu's room. "S-sorry, Uncle Kaz, but I had to use your laptop for this." He received a nod from his caretaker, who wasn't upset in the slightest. "I searched him up on the internet and found this." He turned the screen around to show the article to everyone.

"Five years ago, Dr. Animo was a promising researcher in Veterinary Science, but it turned out he was doing all these twisted genetic experiments where he was mutating animals. And when he didn't win some big prize called the Verities Award, he went crazy." Shiro explained.

Izumi recalled the events from the shopping district. "I think he said something about getting something that belonged to him, right?"

Shiro nodded his head. "The Verities Award is an international deal, and the ceremony is being held here in Okinawa tonight."

Haruka figured it out. "Which means that Dr. Animo may be planning to use the animals he mutated to attack the ceremony! We have to stop him!"

"No."

All of the kids' heads swiveled to Kiryu, who was standing up from the table. "What do you mean, Uncle Kaz?! He's going to attack that ceremony!" Haruka exclaimed.

"Which is none of our business. This is different from the robot attacks, which directly concerned us, and the petty robberies that you've stopped from time to time. This guy seems dangerous, so it's best to leave it to the authorities." Kiryu explained. Before Haruka could object, he continued talking. "And I mean it this time, Haruka. You got lucky this afternoon, but I don't want to risk you kids getting hurt against some mad man."

"But I have this!" She pointed at the watch. "If I could outsmart a mutant lizard, then I can stop whatever else he has!"

Kiryu shook his head. "Haruka, I forbid you from going after that Animo person. We can alert the police and let them know of our suspicions but that's about it. Let's leave it to them." His voice told her that he was done with the conversation. The Dragon of Dojima turned to the rest of the kids. "Finish your meals and head to bed. You all have school in the morning."

As he walked away from the living area, Haruka glared at his back, upset at the unfairness of her Uncle Kaz's lack of faith in her.

Once everyone had turned in for the night, Haruka quietly snuck out of the house. She was certain of her clean get away until she heard footsteps coming from the gate. Frowning, Haruka slowly approached the bushes at the gate and pulled them back to see who it was. "Shiro?! Izumi?!"

"H-hi…Haruka." Shiro waved nervously.

"What are you two doing out here? You're supposed to be in bed." Haruka frowned with disapproval.

"You are too, Haruka. Remember what Uncle Kaz said?" Izumi called out her hypocrisy.

"Yes, and I think he's just being too overprotective. I can handle everything just fine and I can't just leave Dr. Animo to do whatever he wants." Haruka said, crossing her arms.

"Do you even know where he is?" Shiro questioned.

"W-well…not exactly, but I figured staking out the site of the award ceremony would suffice." Haruka blushed a bit.

"Shiro has a better idea, Haruka! That's why we were out here waiting for you." Izumi informs her as they step out of the bush.

"What do you mean?"

"Remember what he said to you? He was going to turn this era into a prehistoric one. Which means the only other place he could be at this time at night is…"

"DINO Park!" Haruka realized. "I have to stop him!"

"Let us come with you!" Shiro pleaded.

Haruka was about to refuse until she saw the look in Shiro's eyes. "I… I can't stand the way he does things. Someone like him being a doctor…and using his knowledge to hurt people is wrong. I might not be able to contribute much in a fight, but I still want to see him be stopped." Shiro declared.

"And I can't help but imagine what would happen if he did something like that to Mame. No animal deserves that kind of cruelty that he's afflicting on them. So, I'm coming too!" Izumi declared as well.

Every instinct in Haruka's body was telling her to refuse their requests, but the other part of her decided there couldn't be much harm in it. She already kept them safe once, so it should be easy to do so again. "Okay, but we'll be taking a taxi there. You two listen to me the entire time, okay?"

"Yes!"

After taking the taxi ride to DINO Park, the Morning Glory kids rushed into the facility, which seemed to have been broken into. The sight of broken glass and doors gave them all the info they needed that Animo was here. Luckily, it seemed that Dr. Animo had just arrived at DINO Park as well. They found him standing in front of a Mammoth exhibit, admiring the fake creature.

Dr. Animo glared at the children who had gotten in his way before. "Seems the thorns in my sides have decided to track me down."

Haruka walked forward, pointing at the mad doctor. "It's over, Dr. Animo! Turn yourself over to the police and this can all end peacefully."

"Oh, but it's only just beginning." He cackled, turning the dial on his chest. "I only needed a few more components to push my work into phase two: The reanimation of dormant cells."

Izumi tilted her head. "I don't get it."

"Breathing life back into that which has been lifeless! Observe!" Animo activated his Transmodulator, shooting the Mammoth with the beam from his helmet. The kids watched in horrified shock as the Mammoth's cell awoke, breathing life back into the ancient creature. It slowly stomped towards the trio. "I would stick around and watch as life is slowly crushed out of you, but I have a date with destiny!" He took off further into the park, leaving them to deal with the Mammoth.

Haruka wanted to chase after Animo, but that Mammoth wouldn't let them pass so easily. Unfortunately, there was only one thing she could possibly do in this situation. "Shiro! Izumi! You guys go chase after Animo and keep him from escaping! He doesn't look that strong, so you should be able to beat him!"

"What about you?!" Izumi asked.

"I'll take care of this guy!" Haruka activated the Omnitrix and slapped down the core.

FLASH!

Standing in Haruka's place is a large orange and white bipedal tiger with one black claw coming out of each wrist with no tail. She's clearly female due to the curves of her waist and breasts, which were held back by a black band. Despite her feminine frame, she's quite muscular and has black stripes on her head, legs, shoulders, and upper body. She has white fur on her jaw, neck, chest, stomach, hands, and feet. The watch's symbol is located on her chest. "WRATH!"

"It's kitty!" Izumi cheered.

"LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING, IZUMI! WE DECIDED THAT MY NAME IS WRAITH! CALL ME WRATH!"

"Kitty!"

"ARGH!" Wrath comically cried.

The Mammoth's cry was heard before loud stomping followed, Shiro acted quickly and pulled Izumi out of the way as Wraith turned around just to get tackled by the Mammoth. "Haruka!"

"JUST HURRY!" She pushed her feet against the floor, using her strength to fight against the stampeding animal. Wraith watched from the corners of her eyes as her little siblings chased after Dr. Animo, which meant she could focus on the fight. "ALRIGHT, RESURRECTED ANCIENT MAMMOTH! WRATH IS GONNA TAKE YOUR TUSKS-" She wrapped her arms around the Mammoth's tusks. "-AND TURN THEM INTO TOOTH-PICKS! OPHIUCHUS SUPLEX!" She announced, lifting the Mammoth into the air and smashing it into the ground.

"What should we do, Shiro?!" Izumi asked as they chased Animo through the park.

"U-uh, we should just do what Uncle Kaz would do and hit him really hard!" Shiro's response heard him a dead stare from the younger girl.

"Sounds like something Taichi would say…"

"I don't have many ideas, okay?!"

The two of them saw that Animo had finally stopped running and stood in front of a T-Rex exhibit. Shiro worked up the courage, just like his Uncle Kaz and Haruka would do. "W-we have you cornered now, Dr. Animo!"

Animo smirked, not taking them seriously. "Oh? And what exactly do you kids think you can do against this?" He turned the dial on his suit, blasting the T-Rex skeleton, awakening the dormant cells inside of the bones. Fear overtook the kids as they were now staring up at the massive T-Rex.

"ROOOOOOO!" The T-Rex roared as Animo climbed onto its back.

"Still think you're able to play the hero?" He laughed at the two, who were frozen stiff in fear. While he would love to just crush them here, he needed to be on his way. "Let us be off, my pet! Greatness awaits us!" He ordered the T-Rex. His newest creation roared and stomped through the walls of the park and marched through the street.

Shiro shook his head, realizing just how bad the situation had gotten. "W-we can't let him get away!"

Izumi looked at him as if he were crazy. "How are we supposed to chase after a T-Rex?!"

"I-I-I…!"

"SQUAK!"

"Eh? EEEEKKKK!" Izumi screamed as the parakeet swopped down and grabbed her, taking the girl into the skies.

"IZUMI!" Shiro watched helplessly as the mutant bird made off with his little sister.

"SHIRO! HELP!" Izumi cried. The bird was getting higher and higher into the air, and she really wasn't fond of the idea of falling to her demise.

Shiro wasn't sure what to do to help her until a large crash was heard, followed by something huge hitting the ground next to him. Wrath landed on top of the defeated Mammoth and released a triumphant roar. "Haruka!"

"LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING, SHIRO! MY NAME IS-"

"THAT BIRD HAS IZUMI!"

Wrath stopped her usual shenanigans and gazed at the night sky to see the mutant parakeet making off with her little sister. Rage consumed her eyes and Wraith took off after the bird. Using her enhanced agility and strength, Wraith propelled herself off a streetlamp to reach the fleeing avian and gripped the bird's feathers.

Izumi gasped, happy to see her big sister. "Haruka!"

"LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING, MUTATED PARAKEET THAT USED TO BE A PET STORE ANIMAL! YOU'RE GOING TO RELEASE IZUMI OR ELSE I'M GONNA-" The bird shook its body and shed the feathers Wrath was holding onto. Human and Appoplexian stared in cartoonish shock as the distance between them grew.

"HARUKA!"

"IZUMI"

As Wraith fell back down to the Earth below, the watch started beeping, pissing her off more. "ARGH! LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING, YOU STUPID WATCH! I'M GONNA-"

CRASH!

FLASH!

Within the small crater laid, Haruka, who just stared at the night sky with immense guilt. Without the aggression of the transformation, she realized just how much she's screwed in bringing her little siblings into this. Now Izumi was stuck in the clutches of that bird and Animo was getting away. "Good job, Haruka…you've made things worse and failed to protect your family."

"Haruka!" She looked over to see Shiro pulling up to her, riding on a double-seated bicycle. "C'mon, we have to save Izumi! As long as we can keep our eyes on that bird then we can still save her!"

Getting up out of the crater, Haruka took the front reins of the bike, while Shiro handled the 2nd seat. The two put their legs to work to keep up with the parakeet that was flying throughout the city with their sister. As they did, Shiro came to a conclusion. "Haruka, I think we should-"

"Call Uncle Kaz…yeah, I know." Reaching into her pocket, Haruka pulled out her cell phone and prepared herself for what was about to happen. Dialing his number, she put her phone up to her ear and heard him pick up the call. "Uncle Kaz-"

"Where are you?"

"How did you know that I was-"

"I came back from my walk to see that you, Izumi, and Shiro were missing. Where are you, Haruka?"

She could tell he was upset, and his anger wasn't aimed at her often. But there were times where she went against him and got scolded for it. "Look, Uncle Kaz, I know you're upset but right now Izumi is currently being flown around the city by a giant parakeet! Shiro and I are chasing it down now!"

"Where are you, right now?!"

"We're-" She gave him information of their current location, hoping that would be enough for now. It shouldn't be hard for him to find them and the giant parakeet flying through the city.

"Don't do anything rash! I'm on my way!"

She put her phone away after he ended the call. Shiro, who had been quiet during the entire conversation, started to feel guilty. "I'm sorry, Haruka."

"Huh? What are you apologizing for?" She asked.

"When we confronted Dr. Animo, I froze up in fear. In that situation I was useless, and Izumi got kidnapped. If I was stronger like you and Uncle Kaz then maybe-"

"It's not your fault, Shiro." Haruka interrupted him. "You don't need to apologize for getting scared, I never should've told you guys to chase after him. And the fact that you wanted to come anyway and face the dangers makes you braver than most." She looked back to give him a smile. "It's my fault that we're in this situation, so I'm gonna be sure to fix it!"

"Yeah! Let's save Izumi!" Shiro yelled. The two looked up to see that the parakeet was circling a building, Izumi still trapped within its grasp. A whole bunch of people had gathered around to see what was going on with the giant bird.

Haruka and Shiro stopped the bike and got off to see the bird stop in the air and release the young girl from its hold. Adults and kids alike all cried out, expecting a terrible tragedy this night. "KYAAAAA!" Izumi screamed as she fell to her death.

"NO!" Shiro screamed.

"IZUMI!" Haruka was thankful that the watch was fully recharged. She quickly scrolled through her playlist and slammed the dial down to transform.

FLASH!

Izumi closed her eyes, awaiting the painful collision with the ground, however that never came to pass. The youngest of the children felt someone grab onto her and gently hold her in their arms. She opened her eyes and exclaimed happily. "Chilly!"

"Big Chill, Izumi." The new alien corrected. Haruka had transformed into a blue humanoid, moth-like alien, whose four wings and two antennae-like wings spread out to allow her to fly. She has a black body with blue patching on her breasts, and running along her legs and arms, the latter reaching up to the back of her neck. Located on her chest was the watch's symbol.

Big Chill was about to swoop down to lower Izumi to safety, but the mutant parakeet decided to get in her way. Big Chill dodged the on-coming bird and held Izumi closer to her chilly body. "Almost forgot about that guy!"

"Don't hurt it too badly, Haruka! It's not in control of itself!" Izumi pleaded.

"I know, Izumi, but that thing isn't going to make it easy!" The Necrofriggian huffed as she continued to evade the parakeet. She needed to take that thing down quickly, but having Izumi in her arms was making it difficult.

Down below, Shiro watched as his sisters evaded getting struck by the parakeet. He wished there was something he could do to help.

"Shiro!"

Turning around, he saw his Uncle Kaz running towards him. "Uncle Kaz! You're here!"

"Where's Haruka and Izumi?!" He asked and Shiro pointed upwards at the battle.

"I think Haruka's struggling to focus, because she has Izumi in her arms. We need to have Izumi passed to us, so that Haruka can focus." Shiro explained. Kiryu nodded his head and turned to the building they were fighting by.

"I have an idea! Follow me, Shiro!" Kiryu sprinted ahead with the smaller boy following him closely.

Big Chill evaded another attack from the bird before flying back a bit more. She wanted to turn intangible, but she didn't know how that would affect Izumi, so she settled for dodging the attacks of the bird. "I can't keep this up forever or else I'm gonna time out…!"

Izumi squinted her eyes, seeing some familiar faces sticking their arms out of the building. "Haruka! Look! It's Uncle Kaz!" Big Chill looked in the direction she was pointing and saw Kiryu holding his hands out.

"Pass Izumi here!"

Big Chill nodded her head. "Yeah, that works too!" She held Izumi tighter and took off towards the building with the parakeet giving chase. With only a split second to pull this off, Big Chill tossed Izumi at the window, allowing Kiryu to catch the smaller girl in his arms. Without missing a beat, Big Chill ascended the building with the parakeet following after her.

"Sorry about this, birdy!" Big Chill apologized before turning invisible. The bird was confused until it felt a cold sensation pass through its body, within seconds it was frozen solid. Its frozen body dropped to the ground, luckily not enough to completely shatter to pieces.

With that threat taken care of, Big Chill lowered herself to the window her family were standing at. "I'm going to chase after Dr. Animo! I'll be back soon!"

"Wait!" Kiryu yelled, but the hero didn't listen and flew in the direction of the award ceremony. Huffing in annoyance, Kiryu sprinted towards the exit with the kids following behind him.

Big Chill arrived just in time to see that Animo had busted into the award ceremony, his T-Rex looming over the few guys who had yet to run away. "So nice of you to keep my award nice and safe, Dr. Kelly!" Dr. Animo laughed.

"That award isn't yours, you maniac!" Kelly yelled, though he backed away in fear.

"Yes, but you see, you won't be alive to tell anyone otherwise!" Dr. Animo declared. His T-Rex opened its wide jaws to devour the man, but Kelly was swept away before the dinosaur could eat him. "What?!"

"Sorry, Doc, but this check-up is canceled!" Big Chill declared as she lowered Kelly back down. She charged at the mad doctor to grab him, but the T-Rex's tail smashed into her, causing Big Chill to bounce across the floor.

"You fool hearty do-gooders continue to get in my way! I've had enough!" Dr. Animo yelled. His monstrous pet charged at Big Chill, who turned intangible to avoid getting chomped down on. She reappeared above him and froze his tail with an ice breath. Then flew back up to Animo to attack him, but his helmet lit up and forced her to dodge the beam attack. Which left her open for the T-Rex to headbutt her into the wall.

"Guh! Okay, this is a little tough." Big Chill groaned.

Dr. Animo loomed over her, laughing like a maniac. "Don't you see?! My Transmodulator has unlimited potential! Not even your freaky abilities stand a chance against me! Soon my age will-"

"ORA!"

The moment Dr. Animo turned his head, the front wheel of a bike smashed into his face. The impact sent him flying off of the dinosaur and caused him to drop his Transmodulator.

Kiryu landed the bike perfectly, performing the "Akira Slide" to add the cool factor. Both Shiro and Izumi were riding along with him on the bike.

Big Chill was stunned by their sudden appearance, but for once appreciated the interference of her Uncle Kaz. She looked up at the T-Rex and took to the skies. "My turn!" Taking a deep breath, the moth-like alien released a huge burst of freezing breath upon the T-Rex. It was helpless against such an extreme burst of cold. She tapped the frozen T-Rex and giggled. "Seems you've become a statue once more."

Dr. Animo, having recovered, scrambled for his helmet. "No! I won't let you stop me!" Right as he was about to reach it, Shiro picked up the helmet. "Give me that, you brat!" He made a reach, but Shiro jumped out of the way, causing Animo to trip.

"Sorry, but I only respect actual doctors. You lost the right to call yourself one the moment you started hurting animals for your own benefit." Shiro tossed the helmet into the air, and it was smashed to pieces by a punch from Big Chill. Without the Transmodulator, all of the mutated creatures turned back to normal.

Animo watched in despair as all of his hard work had been utterly crushed. "NO! MY TRANSMODULATOR! YOU'LL PAY! YOU'LL-

POW!

Kiryu slumped the doctor in one hit, glaring down at his unconscious body. Izumi, who was riding on his back, gave her Uncle Kaz a thumbs up. "Nice punch, Uncle Kaz."

"Thanks."

"Let me go! I deserved that award! Do you hear me?! I'll be back! And I'll have my-" Whatever Animo was about to say next was stopped by the shutting of the police car. Kiryu and his kids watched from a distance as the mad doctor was carted off to prison.

"And hopefully we'll never see him again." Izumi smiled, happy to see the bad guy get what he deserved.

"And hopefully I'll never end up being a doctor like that." Shiro muttered.

"Don't worry, Shiro. You'll be a great doctor one day; you'll never end up being like that weirdo." Izumi cheered him up.

"Thanks, Izumi."

Haruka felt the gaze of her Uncle Kaz boring into her soul. Pushing her fingers together nervously, Haruka turned to his direction. "I-I'm sorry, Uncle Kaz. All of this could've been avoided if I had just listened to you. I'll accept any punishment you decide to give me. I'll even handle everyone's chores for a week!"

"Really? Okay, then."

"Eh?" Haruka paused.

"I was going to ground you for disobeying me and dragging Shiro and Izumi into it, but I think handling everyone's chores for a week will teach you a valuable lesson." Kiryu finalized.

"W-wait! I-I mean that's just too many chores!" Haruka didn't mind chores, but she would have virtually no free time if she had to handle everyone's chores.

"Would you rather spend a month grounded where you'll have to stay under my watch the entire time?" He offered the alternative.

Haruka just slumped in defeat, settling for the week of chores instead. She rubbed the back of her neck and sighed. "Hey, Uncle Kaz?"

"Hm?"

"Sorry for my behavior recently. Thank you for coming to help me."

"Hm. I'll always be here to help you, Haruka. Just as I expect you to help me. Okay?"

Haruka nodded her head, smiling at her father-figure. "Yeah!"

Chapter End

NOTE: I hope you guys enjoyed the chapter! Haruka, while a sweet child, can be pretty stubborn, reckless, and smart mouth when she wants to be. She takes after her Uncle Kaz sometimes and with her now added responsibility, she's changing in ways that neither of them are prepared for. However, they'll get through it together.

Haruka will have to learn lessons, not to the repeated extent that Ben had to, but I think you get what I'm saying.

Shiro and Izumi got some focus in this chapter, so perhaps the other kids will get more focus in the next one.
