"Alexander would be most unhappy if I did not speak to all those he cares for in Sunnydale, so if you would be willing to accompany me to visit his friends, I would be most appreciative." Thor requested.
"We can go to Buffy's house. Her mother, Dawn and Faith will be there since they all live there. Buffy and Willow are attending college and are living on campus."
"That would be very good." Thor agreed and the two set out for Joyce's. Giles feeling rather surreal about the entire thing.
Dawn answered the door and had to tip her head back a long ways to see the very tall man standing at the door. It took her a moment to realize, Giles was also standing at the door.
"Dawn, are your mother and Faith home? I have someone I want to introduce to them."
"Yeah, they are." She motioned them in. They found Joyce lying on the coach and Faith sitting in a nearby chair. Buffy and Willow were also over.
"Ah good, you're all here." Giles said. "Joyce, are you having another headache?" He asked, somewhat anxiously.
"Yes, unfortunately." She said. "They don't seem to be getting any better."
Thor was studying both her and the young girl Alexander was supposedly fond of. What he saw in the girl was surprising and something he needed to discuss with the other gods.
"I want to introduce you all to someone who means a great deal to Xander." Giles told them. "This is the human form of Thor, also known as the god of thunder. He made the Xander we know and is thus his father."
"You're the one who made Xander?" Dawn exclaimed.
"Yes, young one. I did. And both he and his soulmate did well in defeating the creature responsible for the Game. You should be proud of him, I am. He has become a most formidable warrior. All he needed was a little encouragement. Something that was sorely lacking in his life unfortunately. I am sorry for that. It was necessary to place him with the Harris' because that is where most of his counterparts grow up. He was needed here, in Sunnydale, or many things would have been very different."
"What kind of things?" Buffy asked, staring suspiciously at the guy claiming to be Xander's father.
"You would not have survived your first day in this town were it not for him. That is just one of the many times he saved your life. Alexander has asked me to convey his care for you all to you and to find out how all of you are doing in your lives. Mrs. Summers, I can see the cause of your illness. We gods have an agreement known as the Accords, that distances us from the humans of Earth. These Accords were enacted because the excesses of the gods caused much strife in human lives. We left an opening in the Accords, though. A way to help, if help is needed. We can only come in, where invited. Usually such invites require rituals and prayers and such. That is mostly just to get our attention. I am here now. If you ask me to help you, I can and will help you."
"Help me how? And why would you help me? You don't even know me."
"One of my purviews is the protection of humanity. That would be enough reason. But the real reason, is that my son cares for you. He feels you are a mother worthy of the title."
"Oh." Joyce said softly. "That's nice to hear."
"What are you going to do to her?" Buffy asked. "And how do we know you're even who you claim to be?"
"You can call Duncan McCleod and ask him for confirmation. Alexander told him who I am."
"I'm going to do that. For all we know this could be a trick. And why doesn't Xander just tell us these things himself?"
"The last I heard, he had surrendered your friendship because of your unapologetic attitude toward him. As well as his friendship with Miss Rosenberg because she too remains unapologetic for her behavior. Alexander is the son of a god. But even if he was not, the two of yours behavior is unacceptable. He may have decided to let it go, but I am still annoyed at you. You made him vulnerable and it cost him his life. He will look eighteen until he comes into his godhead. You still do not believe you have done anything wrong, despite the blood on your soul." A stark pronouncement that had Buffy glaring at Thor.
"I think it's time for you to go." She told him.
"Buffy!" Joyce said angrily. "You do not treat guests like that in my house. Go call Mr. McCleod and rein your attitude in while you're at it."
With another glare, Buffy went to call Duncan McCleod.
"I apologize." Joyce said, holding a hand to her head.
"I do not hold you responsible for her choices." Thor assured her. A few minutes later, Buffy came back in.
"Mr. McCleod says Xander did tell him that you are Thor, the god that made him." Buffy confirmed.
"Mr. Giles." Joyce said. "How do I ask him to help me?"
"Without the rituals, the same way you would ask me."
"Thor, will you help with what is causing these headaches?" Joyce asked.
"Yes." He responded and called Mjolinar to his hand. He held it over her head and it glowed.
A/N According to the Heros wiki, Thor can use Mjolinar to heal lesser beings.
