Miraculous: Chloe Bourgeois Time Travel Fix-It

Post season 5, pre season 6. After Chloe and Marinette are murdered on the first day of the new school year, Chloe wakes up far in the past and downloads Marinette's future memories along with uncovering numerous kwamis. Their number one goal? Fix the future, make sure Hawk Moth is defeated, and apprehend all other villains. But who will attempt to stop them? Read to find out!

Chapter 13: Originality and Authenticity.

(Three hundred and four thousand, six hundred and third Quantic Universe Earth, Paris, France, Tuesday, September 15th, 2015, third person POV...)

At the Tom and Sabine Boulangerie Patisserie, Marinette is on her balcony with Tikki.

Tikki asks, "How about inviting him to go see a movie?"

Marinette replies before asking, "Yes, and this time, guaranteed to succeed. But you do know that I hate horror movies and thriller movies. Can you imagine that kind of interaction?"

Tikki says in Marinette's voice, '" "Hey, Adrien, why are we watching A Nightmare On Elm Street?! I told you that I hate horror movies, and if there's one out of many horror movie monsters that scare me the most, it's Freddy Krueger!"' "

Marinette replies, "Exactly, Tikki. And the last time Kim tricked me into watching a horror movie, I wet and crapped myself."

Tikki looks disgusted even as she tries to hold in her laughter.

Marinette then says, "And to think that the reason behind my inability to properly talk to Adrien in the original timeline was because I was humiliated by Chloe and Kim at the local swimming pool last year, in the form of a humiliation prank where I could've died by hitting my head in the pool and then drowning. All of my problems with my obsessive crush on Adrien since than aside, can you even imagine the trouble Master Fu would've had in finding a replacement for me if I wasn't there to pass his test to become worthy of the Ladybug Miraculous just because I was dead?"

Marinette and Tikki imagine a cartoonish version of Master Fu looking for Marinette in the Dupain-Cheng bakery on the day of the first Stoneheart attack, only to find out that Marinette had died the previous year, and both of her murderers were thrown in prison for life. Then Master Fu moves on to find someone else, which takes way too long and by then, Cat Noir is revealed as Adrien Agreste and it's all over.

Marinette shakes her head and shudders as she says, "Bleugh, let's be thankful that that never happened."

Tikki replies, "Agreed."

Marinette then says, "Anyway, I can't help but grimace at the fact that, in the original timelines, because of the humiliation prank Chloe and Kim's past counterparts pulled on me even though it was a miracle I survived, from there on and even after meeting Adrien with the identity rule intact, every time I saw Adrien after the second day of school and the umbrella exchange in the rain, I'd get all clammy and I'd feel like fainting. Or as you put it, the only way I'd succeed at talking to Adrien is if I was blindfolded. Except that in my opinion, in order for me to talk to Adrien while blindfolded, I'd have to have my hands restrained so that I wouldn't be able to try removing the blindfold."

Tikki replies, "Yeah, our memories from the future aside, the original timelines thanks to Thomas Astruc from our recruits' universe was a total cluster freight ship piece of shitake garbage."

Marinette lets out a bark of laughter at that before replying back, "That's a good way of putting it without swearing."

Tikki bows at that.

Marinette then goes down into her bedroom and she sees that the clothes she plans on using to jumpstart her new commission website were finished just under half an hour ago.

Marinette then asks, "So, what do you think, Tikki? I know you're not exactly an expert in modern phrases, but I'd like your opinion on the clothes I made of my own design and used inspiration from the designs in trend without plagiarizing anything purposely or accidentally."

Tikki looks over the clothing Marinette made and then she replies, "Well, all in all, you did wonderfully, Marinette."

Marinette then tickles Tikki's belly, and she giggles before flying to Marinette's side and then tickling her ribs, making Marinette laugh.

After they had their childish fun moment, Marinette takes out her phone and carefully scrolls through her contact list to Max's number.

After making sure that she was not multitasking, Marinette hit the call Max button, and after hearing his answering machine, Marinette says, "Hey, Max, it's Marinette. So, I finished making our products for my fashion commission website, and I wish to inquire, can you please do a data collection of what fashion pieces are currently trending in high places? I wanted to know if I can do a combination of my own designs and the proficient designs that are in season as inspiration without plagiarizing anything on purpose or by accident. Can you please get back to me with your answer as soon as you are available and as soon as you have finished any other tasks demanding your attention and brilliant intellect? Merci."

Marinette hangs up.

Marinette goes back to her balcony and then she looks over her contact list. And she sees Adrien's phone number is there, a welcome change in the new timeline thanks to her and Adrien being childhood friends this time around before they recovered their memories.

Marinette then looks over at the park, and she says, "Yikes a dikes, I almost forgot about the statue unveiling again. But at least they remembered the statues for our double numbers."

Marinette goes back into her bedroom and says, "Tikki, Spots On!" and she transforms into Ladybug.

After going back up to her balcony again, she quietly and quickly flies in the direction opposite of the bakery and the Place des Vosges before discreetly circling back around to the park.

On Ladybug's high-range scanner, Theo Barbot and Mayor Bourgeois are shown facing the crowd, with the giant sculptures covered with a giant white sheet behind them.

Mayor Bourgeois says, "I'm sure you've outdone yourself, Theo."

Theo replies, "It was my honor, Mr. Mayor. And I can't wait to meet Ladybug. I just hope that she'll be able to autograph the picture of her I used as inspiration for the statue."

Ladybug then says as she descends slowly like Superman tends to do in Superman media, "Did someone say my name?"

Everyone looks up and sees Ladybug floating down, her wings buzzing as they whirl to keep her in flight.

Now that everyone who missed the previous Akuma fights can see Ladybug in person, they were in awe at her wings, her suit of armor, her full ensemble ladybug namesake appearance to go along with the armor, her weapons carried over from Batman, Owlman, Knightowl, Green Arrow, RoboCop, Captain America, and Red Hood among others, and they also got to see that she was muscular and up to seven feet tall.

Mayor Bourgeois then asks, "Ladybug, where's your army?"

Ladybug answers, "They're most likely finishing up some civilian obligations before coming here. And trust me, regardless of physical age like with Batman Beyond, the original Batman, or any old and new iterations of the Power Rangers, it's not always easy to be a superhero with and without powers and gadgets. Especially if heroes like the Power Rangers have work and school to worry about."

Mayor Bourgeois nods in understanding.

In Francoise Dupont, Adrien nods at his second time clone, Makalo Agreste, and he says quietly, "(Softly) Plagg, Claws Out!"

Adrien transforms into Cat Noir.

Cat Noir flies to the Place des Vosges, and he says as he lands next to Ladybug, "Hey there, everybody!"

Everyone claps and cheers.

Just then, all of the Oracle Knights show up.

At the Dupain-Cheng bakery, Alya remarks, "Oh, they're unveiling the Oracle Knight statues today! Oh, I totally spaced out!"

Alya rushes to the park, thankful that she didn't encounter a red light.

In the Place des Vosges, Theo then asks, "Ladybug, could you please autograph this photo of you? I used it as inspiration for the statue."

Ladybug takes the pen and autographs the picture, thankful that she learned different handwriting styles in the past of the new timeline to avoid suspicions or potential identity reveals.

Theo then says, "Thank you, Ladybug."

Ladybug then asks, "If you don't mind me asking, why did you want this picture of me autographed in the first place?"

Theo answers, "Well, you're amazing. You're brave, and you're smart, not to mention tactful with the way you save everyone..."

Ladybug makes eye contact with Cat Noir, and the sharp gaze in her eyes told him that they should let him down gently.

Mayor Bourgeois then says, "It's only fair for Paris to pay homage to the heroes who were assigned to protect us from evil: (Unveiling the statues) Ladybug, Scarab Woman, Cat Noir, Tomcat Noir, Lady Everyone oohs and aahs at the sculptures while taking pictures, and Alya asks, "Can I get some photos for the Oracle Knight Blog?"

Ladybug poses proudly for the pictures, perfectly imitating her flying pose without really activating her wings.

In no time, the ceremony ends.

Cat Noir then says to Theo while getting his attention, "Um, Theo, these statues are great and all, but Ladybug's actually taller than me, and I can tell because our statues are standing side by side and standing up straight."

Theo then says, "Got it; I'll be sure to remember that next time."

Theo then says to Ladybug, "Ladybug, I'm glad you showed up. I wanted to express my adoration for you, to let you know that everything I had went into your statue. I'm sure if you take the time to get to know me, you'll see that we have much in common, particularly our devotion to the things we love."

Ladybug then says sharply at first before saying in a neutral fashion, "First of all, I don't particularly love being a superhero; it's more like a means to an end, and once Hawk Moth and any of his allies in the present day or in the future are gone, I'll be considering my options as it'll be tedious to lead a double life as an adult in the field of work I'm working hard to succeed in. (Theo gulps in fear) And secondly, as amazing as I am, I'm not presently looking for love."

Theo starts to say, "Um..."

Ladybug then explains, "The thing is, I'm not fond of the idea of dating older boys, I don't automatically go on dates with boys that I just met on the first day, and quite frankly, dating a civilian regardless of age difference, for a superhero, that is very unprofessional. And besides, my heart is already set for someone more acceptable in my age range for the time to take place after Hawk Moth and any of his allies in any form are sent to prison."

Theo asks, "Really?"

Ladybug answers, "Yes, really. Don't take this the wrong way, but I refuse to date older boys. BUT there are other fish in the sea, as we modern people say. It's purely a matter of which girls in your friend circles might be the best ones for you if you look for the signs that one of them is in love with you."

Cat Noir then looks at Ladybug, and she discreetly nods in permission, and Cat Noir then says, "And as it would turn out, Ladybug is in love with me."

Theo asks angrily, "What?!"

Cat Noir and Ladybug take turns explaining their fabricated story, "We met in our childhoods." "We grew close over the years, and we grew ever closer ever since two of his relatives died just a short of four years ago." "And over time as we got to know each other in our civilian lives before we were called into the line of duty while keeping our identities secret, our feelings for each other grew stronger to the point where we had to hold off on dating each other until Hawk Moth is defeated for good. And in terms of our love for each other, we're a thing."

Theo asks, "Really?"

Cat Noir replies while giving a heart gesture, "Yes, we're like this."

Cat Noir and Ladybug grin and they hug each other warmly.

Theo growls as he asks angrily, "What does she see in you?!"

Theo walks away.

Ladybug snort growls as she bemoans, "Augh, great. Not everyone takes rejection or confessions of love for their crush-by-ons to their own crushes that well, especially regardless of age differences."

Pipevine then says, "Cat Noir, if Copycat impersonates you in your armor, you're gonna have to add elements of Claw Noir's outfit to have us tell you both apart easier."

Cat Noir nods before going to the Louvre with Ladybug and the others.

In Theo's workshop, Theo snarls, "You and Ladybug are a thing, huh? You don't even take love seriously, calling it '"a thing..." Ladybug doesn't deserve you! I do!"

Theo swipes his right hand to the side, knocking over a bust of Cat Noir's head to the floor and it shatters.

Theo growls in anger.

In Hawk Moth's lair, Hawk Moth remarks, "Jealous of Ladybug's love for Cat Noir and jealous of Cat Noir in the same direction without being in love with him. This is the perfect formula for disaster."

Hawk Moth makes an Akuma and says, "Fly away, my little Akuma, and evilize him!"

The Akuma flies towards Theo's studio.

In Pipevine's observatory, she senses the positive emotions of joy and satisfaction coming from Toby Barcomb, a university graduate teaching artist assistant who just got off work with a promotion for a later date.

Pipevine remarks, "Proud of his accomplishments and looking to be humble about it? Well, at least we have something authentic."

Pipevine makes a Kamiko and says, "Fly on, my little Kamiko, and empower this authenticity driven artist!"

The Kamiko flies off to Toby's home office.

Meanwhile, at the same time, Swallowtail senses the positive emotions of love from Leo Baudrier, a French web designer who fell in love with a fellow web designer in his class, and he turns out to be bisexual.

Swallowtail then says, "And it is said that romance diversity wasn't exactly multiple choice back in biblical days."

Swallowtail makes a Tenshi and sends it on its way to Leo.

In Theo's studio, the Akuma flies into the crumpled up picture of Ladybug in Theo's hands, and this establishes the telepathic connection.

Hawk Moth remarks, "Hello, Copycat. I am Hawk Moth. Once you get rid of Cat Noir, you can take his Miraculous and place. And Ladybug will be yours forever."

Theo/Copycat remarks darkly, "The very thought of it makes me purr."

Theo transforms into Copycat.

Meanwhile, the Kamiko makes its way to Toby's workshop and merges with his office keys in his pocket.

Pipevine remarks, "Authenticity, I am Pipevine. I'm granting you the power you'll need to expose Copycat and prove Cat Noir's innocence. And you'll be aided by your lookalike, Originality. Do you accept, Authenticity?"

Toby/Authenticity replies, "Yes, Pipevine, I accept the mission with all that I am."

Toby turns into Authenticity, who looks like a combination of the Cat Noir in this timeline and and the canon Cat Blanc.

Meanwhile, the Tenshi makes its way to Leo's computer lab at home and it merges with two of his computer monitors, and he gets affected the instant he touches the keyboard of the first computer.

Swallowtail says, "Originality, I am Swallowtail, Pipevine's associate. I need you to help Pipevine's Kamiko champion, Authenticity, to deakumatize Theo Barbot, aka Copycat, who looks like Cat Noir in every way. It's important that you know that any version of Cat Noir that tries to kill his counterparts or who acts entitled to Ladybug's love the instant he gets ratted out is the real impostor."

Leo/Originality replies, "Understood, Swallowtail."

Leo turns into Originality, who looks like a combination of Cat Noir, Cat Walker, Mister Bug, Cat Blanc, and Celesticat.

The two Kamikotized/Tenshized champions fly off to meet up with the others at the Louvre.

Later, after everyone arrives in one hundred percent camouflage mode, Copycat, who looks like Cat Noir in this timeline one hundred percent, strolls down the museum hall.

Copycat hums a tune and the civilians are surprised, as some of them hold up their phones to take pictures and videos.

Copycat steps over the rope to steal the Mona Lisa, but then, he gets yanked by his tail belt and hoisted up to the ceiling by the real Cat Noir, who looks like himself and Claw Noir put together, minus the lipstick, purple eyes, long hair, and green hair dye.

Cat Noir remarks while making sure that civilians are still filming, "You didn't think it'd be that easy, did you, Copycat? Or should I say, Theodore Barbot?"

Copycat growls and scratches Cat Noir's faceplate, but there's no damage.

Both Authenticity and Originality throw smoke bombs at Copycat, forcing the Akuma to reveal his true form.

Ladybug shows up and says while taking out the photo of his pocket, "I'll take that, thank you very much."

Ladybug rips the photo and purifies the Akuma.

After Copycat is turned back into Theo, Pipevine then says dangerously, "Monsieur Barbot, we need to have a little talk."

Theo gulps in fear.

In Hawk Moth's lair, Hawk Moth snarls, "D'oh! Copycat was defeated before he could even uphold his part of the deal?! Note to self: never Akumatize someone like Theo Barbot ever again."

The window to Hawk Moth's lair closes.

In no time, Originality and Authenticity were returned to normal.

The next day, at Francoise Dupont, Adrien says, "So, Marinette, I have to say, outside of your mother being protective, I didn't know she was dangerous in a bad mood without being Akumatized."

Marinette replies, "Yeah, believe me, Adrien, when my mother gets angry, she doesn't hold back on anything, even her proficiency in her native Chinese martial arts if she was ever stuck in the middle of a fight she can't escape from that easy."

Nino then comes up with Alya and says, "Hey, dudes, wanna go to the movies tonight?"

Marinette replies, "Sure, why not? BUT, it better not be a horror movie or a thriller movie; if it is, in any of those categories, I'll bust your chaps."

Nino shivers as Alya asks, "Mari, I never knew you to be one to give threats. Are you all right?"

Marinette takes a breath before saying, "Sorry; old habit that started when Nino first tricked me into watching Santa's Slay when I was six years old."

Nino sighs as he asks, "You're not gonna let it go, are you?"

Marinette replies, "I may not always hold a grudge for long, but there are exceptions."

Nino then says while showing the title of the movie on his phone, "Well, don't worry; Redemption of the Past is a true adventure, action, comedy film about criminals and corrupt police officers coming together to redeem themselves in the eyes of the public and avoid serving the rest of their lives in prison."

Marinette looks at the title and the categories for the film, and she sees no signs of the horror and thriller tags.

Marinette then says, "All right, let's go."

Later, in Marinette's room, Marinette looks over her list and says, "Oh, great, here comes Jalil Kubdel, aka The Pharaoh. I hope I don't screw up this time."

Tikki replies, "Regardless, Marinette, you and Alix do know that attempting to prove to Jalil that he's mostly incorrect about the forty mummies he transforms as The Pharaoh, about the positions of the mythological gods of Egypt, and about the history of your Egyptian predecessor will not be easy."

Marinette retorts half-jokingly, "And you know what I found out later on in this new life before today? (Tikki: What?) King Tutankhamun didn't actually rule Egypt five thousand years ago; it was actually King Menes."

Marinette and Tikki share a laugh at that.
