"Mi amigo!" A familiar voice called out to me. I looked behind me and saw Antonio.
"Antonio!" I greeted and we did a handshake. "How's it going? Feeling lucky today?" I asked. Antonio nodded, pointing to himself.
"Boss is always confident! What's today's game plan?" I smiled at his enthusiasm.
"Okay, well, my brother said Lovino likes cooking and plans to open up a restaurant with his brothers in the future." I described. I began to ramble and explain the info I was given, occassionally stopping to observe Antonio making expressions to indicate that he understood and got all that. "I, uhm, didn't buy any gifts this time since I was thinking that you could be the one to do it for him."
Antonio nodded. "Don't worry, I think I get it! If I go shopping with him, it'll bring us closer." He concluded.
"Yeah, something like that." I said. "I heard from my brother as well that the professors will have a staff meeting in the afternoon so you have time to take him out." I remembered.
"You'll be there to supervise in case something wrong happens, right?" He asked, which caught me by surprise for a moment.
"I, erm, not sure about that..." I answered honestly. "But I can give you my phone number so that you can update me about your date with Lovino." I instead offered.
"Ohhh, sure, I-" Antonio stopped himself mid-sentence and blushed a little."D-Did you just say date...?"
I burst out laughing. "I did. Isn't that what you're technically going to do?"
"S-Si...well...I..." I kept on laughing at the way Antonio got flustered.
"I'm just teasing. But just know that it's true." I assured. Antonio calmed down and we eventually exchanged phone numbers. "Good luck after class!" I said as we eventually parted ways and headed for class.
"Look at you being so smart." My brother's voice startled me and I screamed.
"Don't scare me like that!" I said, and all he did was laugh at my reaction.
