Miraculous: Chloe Bourgeois Time Travel Fix-It.
Chapter 15: Lady Internet and Techno-Master.
(Three hundred and four thousand, six hundred and third Quantic Universe Earth, Paris, France, Tuesday, September 22nd, 2015, Chloe Bourgeois' POV...)
In Francoise Dupont High School's canteen, Sabrina and I walked positively to Max. The reason why we were walking towards Max as he has his luncheon is because we needed to talk to him.
And the reason why Sabrina and I wanted to talk to Max was because we needed his help in creating an Akuma Alert App for mobile phones in the possession of every Parisian in the city to be alerted of Akuma attacks, with the app having different features for people, including audio guides for people who are either blind or who can't use their hands for any reason because there's no telling what could happen in an Akuma attack, and a website version connected to the app in case people want to look at the notifications on the app if they want to see it on a bigger screen. Especially including people wearing reading glasses to see who are unable to read small print due to the nature of their impaired vision.
Yeah, these Akuma attacks were clearly getting out of hand with each passing day, even though the chronological Akumas like Stoneheart, Stormy Weather, Mr. Pigeon, Timebreaker, Copycat, and the Pharaoh among others take place only two or three to five, maybe nine days separately, according to King Hornbill, Sky Wren, Imperial Parrot, Brush Dove, Night Pecker, Short Crescentbird, Wood Pochard, Lap Frigatebird, Parrot Eye, Wind Piper, Emerald Hummingwit, Red Cranecrown, Black Stiltwit, White Herontit, Wood Storkjay, Grey Kagu, Land Warbler, Masked Greenfinch, Bronze Crane, Silver Partridge, Golden Lapwing, Swift Curlew, Ibis Byrd, and Venus Thrushcrown's shared foreknowledge and predictive intel which turned out to never be wrong.
And we needed Max to help us since it would make for easier convenience if we made this Akuma Alert App. Particularly because, as Ibis Byrd puts it, "As the General page of the TV Tropes What An Idiot selection for Miraculous Ladybug on our Earth says, we in the real world would expect our heroes to teach civilians how to recognize and stop Akumas from reaching their targets, even if it means squashing them without experiencing negative emotions. And we'd also expect someone to invent a system to track the butterflies and alert the people of the city to the appearances of and whereabouts of the Akumatized villains before they show up in any areas of the city. And we'd also expect that the same system would be able to make a database of intel about the butterflies' direction of flight approach and flight patterns to reveal the location of Hawk Moth's lair. But instead, only an Akuma detection system to alert people of nearby Akuma butterflies, which may or may not have been abused by Hawk Moth as Monarch, is developed in season five. Way too freaking late in the show to develop something like that. And that's just f(bleep!) stupid, both the decision and the Akuma detection system, regardless of whether or not Thomas Astruc and his posse are at the helm of writing the episodes' scripts and everything else that makes an animated cartoon like Miraculous Ladybug work."
Yeah, I can't say I disagree, but the evidence is all right there, especially since they showed me photos of everything that the What An Idiot page of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir on the TV Tropes of their Earth says, along with everything that Miraculous Ladybug's Tear Jerker, Nightmare Fuel, Trivia, Recap, Headscratchers, Funny, Awesome, Analysis, Fridge, Fanon Discontinuity, Base Breaking Characters, and so forth pages on their Earth's TV Tropes says.
Man, I guess I never realized it before, but those twenty-four interdimensional travelers from both Canada and the United States are right; Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir truly is a horrible cartoon, with and without Thomas Astruc at the helm, even if it won't stop people from their Earth from writing their own fanfiction takes on everything that makes up both the final product show and the PV version with Felix Agreste and Richard Sphinx, or even the 2023 Jeremy Zag directed Miraculous Ladybug movie, albeit while occasionally crossing their Miraculous Ladybug fanfictions with either other fictional projects, or real life things, or even things from fantasy and folklore.
And besides that, as Golden Lapwing puts it, "Even if this timeline won't spawn many others in the realm of quantum realities and the Omniverse theory, we can't take any chances, especially if we all fail to apprehend Hawk Moth, Mayura, and Hawk Moth II on the 2016 Heroes' Day. No matter what happens, no matter who tries to stop us, we must apprehend Gabriel Agreste, Nathalie Sancoeur, and Lila Rossi or whatever the f(bleep!) her name is on the 2016 Heroes' Day. If that doesn't happen and our foreknowledge progresses to the final battle in Conformation and Re-Creation, we'd have to make sure to strip Monarch of the Butterfly Miraculous by hand and make sure to thoroughly electrify the water in the repository to electrocute Lila so bad to the point where she drowns as long as we also make sure she isn't using rubber insulation as rubber insulates against electricity. As I said, we can't take any chances."
And he's right. Had Lila been electrocuted in the body of water while not wearing rubber insulation for protection against electricity, it'd make things easier.
And anyway, Sabrina was with me to give Max her own opinions and her own explanations for backing up my own opinions and explanations about the Akuma Alert App.
Honestly, I can't even remember the last time I thanked God for giving Sabrina the chance to become academically successful and smart in general, right next to Max, me, Marinette, and Adrien, thanks to the fact that I took Sabrina under my wing and did the exact same things that some of my goodhearted reincarnated counterparts had done as long as they were reborn as me on the day I was born to Anaximandre Bourgeois and Audrey Bourgeois to build up a sort of heroic and overall good reputation from scratch.
Anyway, I said as Max looks up, "Sorry for interrupting your quiet lunch, Max, but Sabrina and I need your help with something."
As Alix and Kim scaredly backed away – like I can blame them; whether it's exposing bullies and incompetent teachers or defending myself in a fight against a level five bully or a mugger or rapist, I'm pretty scary – Max then replies in a small panic, unknowingly drawing attention to the three of us, "Whatever is it that you think I did, I'll honestly say I had nothing to do with it! There's an 87% chance that Kim dragged me into it!"
Kim replies, "Not cool, dude!"
I rolled my eyes as Sabrina replies, "No, no, no, it's not that. You're not in trouble for anything; rather, we need your help with some technological innovations. On the other hand, if you did do something we'd heard of, you'd have more than three reasons to be deathly afraid of us both."
Sabrina's glare made Max realize that it was a small interrogation.
Max seemed to get the message of Sabrina's glare: if he has done something that he shouldn't've done, he's gonna suffer our wrath in terms of how we expose troublemakers and bullies and incompetent educators alike to the school board. And as he seems to be sweating small bullets, I'd say that he's scared of us.
Sabrina really has improved vastly over the years, even if not one hundred percent. And I can't be more proud of her than my father has told me how proud he is of me wanting to take his place as the Mayor of Paris when I come of age and if he chooses to retire.
And I couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at everyone if it looked like they might say something I wouldn't like.
Max replies before asking us, "Oh. Um, okay. What did you two need my help with?"
Sabrina answers, "We need your help in dealing with the Akumas, because people getting Akumatized over even the smallest of things is seriously getting further out of control with each passing day of just this year alone."
Max points out before musing, "But what can I do? I'm not Ladybug, Cat Noir, or any of their teammates and their army of time clones with alternate names. Although, I am fascinated that somehow, Ladybug's Miraculous Ladybug allowed the time clones to remain as their own separate beings."
I and Sabrina took turns explaining our idea, "We need your assistance in creating an app called the Akuma Alert App. What we require is someone with the technological know-how to design it or at least invent a functional model for big-name technology organizations to utilize in creating the finalized app. Of course, the first person we thought of to help us in this regard was you, Max." "Helping us may not be more than enough to disrupt Hawk Moth's plans even temporarily, but it'll look good on your job resume, and besides, we know you want to make a reputation for yourself in the fields of computer programming, engineering, coding, technological invention, and so forth. Even if you can't create the entire application all by yourself for any reason at all, you'll still be given credit if you help us."
Of course, Max doesn't know that Sabrina and I know everything there is about technology and computer science among other kinds of technology-related levels of intelligence thanks to me secretly using the Rooster Miraculous several years ago and thanks to the both of us studying such fields for years as extensively as Max has done.
We don't like to brag about it, as even in the 21st century of any version of Earth, there's still scorn, racism, and other kinds of looking down upon when it comes to girls being better at boy things than boys themselves. Clear example: Mikaela Banes from Michael Bay's first live action Transformers movie having an intuitive knowledge about modern cars thanks to her grand theft auto father and even explaining to Sam Witwicky that her soon-to-be ex-boyfriend Trent DeMarco hated how smart she was when it comes to cars compared to him.
Max's eyes shined with anticipation and excitement as he questions again, "I-I think I understand. I'll help in any way I can. What does this app need to do?"
As Max takes out a notebook and pencil then begins writing, Sabrina and I took turns explaining again, "What the app needs first and foremost is to have a button that people can push when they see an Akuma butterfly or an Akumatized supervillain on the loose in order for people to be notified of what areas in the city to avoid crossing into until the Oracle Knights can fully take care of the situation and win. It needs to be something that people can press the moment that they open the app on their phones. What it also needs is a tab where anyone can search up and find registered, highly rated, and legally approved Akuma shelters in the city. It also needs a secondary tab that contains reliable resources needed for calming techniques in order to drive off Akumas no matter how powerful Hawk Moth makes them, as well as reliable information on therapy and other emotional aids. And it needs a third tab for self-defense techniques for any Akumas who don't have any murderous powers or weapons in any situation where attempting to flee is no longer an option and there's no other choice but to fight. There should also be footage of previous and/or currently happening Akuma attacks for further assistance. We were also planning on asking Alya for the footage of previous or currently occurring Akumatized villain attacks if she ever displays interest in helping us so we can make it happen." "For convenience's sake, this app needs to work even without needing a Wifi signal, and there needs to be a voice activation option in case people can't use their hands for whatever reason. After all, there's no telling what will happen in an Akuma attack. And there should also be an audio guidance tool for blind people. It'll also be best for convenience's sake to have a website iteration connected to the application in the event that someone in the city, for any reason at all, can't use their phones, can't reach their phones, or if they want to go on the website to look at the features on a bigger screen. Chief among said reasons being that someone is blind in the sense of needing glasses to see and that they can't read small print."
As Sabrina and I explained everything, Max nodded along as he also took notes of what we said and quietly muttered to himself all of the logistics of contingency plans and whatever he requires to make the app work.
But then, Max questioned, "But wait, how many people in the city need glasses to see but they are unable to read small print?"
I answered, "60% of French people need glasses for when they're doing work in office buildings and 67% of said French people need glasses for reading. But I do calculate that up to 59% of those categories in separation and unison cannot read small print so easily."
Max and everyone else looked shocked that Sabrina and I were just as smart as Max is.
Sabrina explained to the people in the canteen that my intellect was a result of good genes in my brain combined with my heavily meticulous years of learning.
Then Max got back to work as everyone shrugs, having gotten used to our cryptic explanations for things.
Sabrina then took over to explain the list of competent and reliable companies that my dad and his work force handpicked and tested to see if they're willing to help out. As well as providing him with her own calculations on the possibility of any one in the city getting Akumatized over big and/or small things such as children and babies being denied specific types of junk food due to being too young, teenagers getting rejected by the people they claim to love, adults getting fired from their jobs for any reason or no reason at all, old people turning out to be grumpy and rude, toddlers and older children being punished for disobedience, children waking up from nightmares that come from watching horror movies, someone like Mr. Damocles having their dreams of being a superhero destroyed, someone like Ms. Mendeleiev discovering more information about the sources of the heroes' powers without meaning to, only to try exposing it to the world in order to be recognized as the greatest scientist in the world, only to be mocked, someone like Nathaniel Kurtzberg being scolded harshly by Ms. Mendeleiev for sketch drawing in class, someone like Alya being stubborn, bullheaded, and selective in what they hear when it comes to their theories about any subject being right or wrong – regardless of whether those theories come from other reporters, conspiracy theorists, scientists, theologians, etc. – someone like Kim being rejected harshly by a girl on Valentine's Day, and so forth.
Of course, alongside some of the students in the canteen at this lunch period, even Max was surprised at the possibilities of causes for people in the city to get Akumatized. Even babies.
As much as I despised babies in the original timeline, I can't just deny that the fact is Hawk Moth wouldn't hesitate to Akumatize young children and babies no matter how many times that doesn't even work. (Cough, Puppeteer, Sapotis, Gigantitan, Christmaster, cough.)
Anyway, when I glanced at Alya, I noticed a sparkling twinkle in her eyes as she looked at me.
Oh, man. I nearly forgot that this was gonna be a new Lady Wifi incident with Alya thinking that I'm Ladybug just because I'm smart enough to come up with the idea of the Akuma Alert App and what needs to be in place for it to function properly.
I mentally told Marinette, and she told me not to worry about a thing; she's got a plan, and even if she might need help with dealing with Lady Wifi because, well, superior numbers and superior experience and all that jazz, she plans to catch Lady Wifi and Hawk Moth at the same time off-guard.
I honestly can't wait. But something tells me that regardless of how many times she has to be told before she gets the hint, Alya will somehow cross several lines to discover Ladybug's identity, and if she thinks that I'm Ladybug, I must be ready to defend myself. I mean, after all, I don't even have a Ladybug outfit in this timeline anymore, and the reason why is because I don't cosplay anymore, not like I used to in the original timeline, and look where that got me in both Lady Wifi and Vanisher and Antibug.
(Third person POV...)
Later, Sabrina, Juleka, Chloe, Nathanael, Alix, Rose, Nino, Mylene, Ivan, Kim, Adrien, Alya, Max, and their siblings and cousins of similar names were all sitting in their classes at the school, with Marinette and Adrien sitting down in Ms. Bustier's class while awaiting word from Tomcat Noir and Scarab Woman.
Adrien had to confess to Marinette later on that he hated Tuesdays, literally.
And the reason why is because he hated that Tuesdays were the days where he couldn't help their team with Akuma attacks if there was an Akuma attack far from the school during important tests or important extracurriculars involved, not at all.
Just a short of four hours after the Stormy Weather incident, Swallowtail, Scarab Woman, Tomcat Noir, and Bunnyx had come up with a superhero schedule system to put into place to avoid suspicions, and the suspicions would only arise if all three of them – Marinette as Ladybug, Adrien as Cat Noir, and Alix as Bunnyx – were missing from the school for too long on schooldays, and even though Marinette's parents and their respective singular time clones were members of the Oracle Knights, they knew that they couldn't ever trust Alix's brother or her father with being Miraculous users, not just because of Jalil hating being scolded, hating people proving him wrong, hating people who refuse to believe him about his theories regardless of whether he's right or wrong about them, hating their father for denying him the chance to enact Egyptian magic spells regardless of the consequences – Bunnyx and Ladybug had given Jalil a massive Reason You Suck and What The Hell Is Wrong With You speech along with kneeing him hard in the manhood after deakumatizing him and after explaining things to both him and Alim before Jalil was fired and sent to prison – and jumping to conclusions, and not just because of Alim having so much to do in his job as curator of the Louvre, but also because of the risks that could arise if Jalil and Alim ever got Akumatized or were ratted out or were kidnapped or even if Jalil joined forces with Hawk Moth to bring Bunnyx back to the present day like in the original season five before and after Monarch made his Alliance Rings, as Masked Greenfinch had taken to explaining to everyone.
Bunnyx was furious that her idiotic older brother would join forces with a nearly all-powerful magic terrorist just to bring her back to the present day because he missed her and because he somehow found out her identity with no explanation – also based on what Greenfinch said – and because he believed all of the people who were Ladybug and Cat Noir critics and haters on social media about Ladybug and Cat Noir being the real villains due to Ladybug accidentally losing the Chinese Zodiac Miraculouses to Felix in exchange for the Peacock Miraculous during Strikeback – also due to Ladybug being affected by Risk's powers – due to Ladybug and Cat Noir haters and critics calling Hawk Moth/Monarch the real hero who was misunderstood, due to his tendency to jump to conclusions, and due to both tabloids of the media and even hero haters and critics on social media being slanderous talkers.
Ladybug had even said, "That does it. If Jalil ever does any of that stuff from the Monarch era again, Hawk Moth defeated on Heroes' Day or not, I will send him to prison this time, and the next time I send him to prison, I'll make sure he never gets out of prison again!"
Alix had looked troubled at that, but she had conceded, knowing she'd probably have difficulty sending her first older brother to prison for aiding and abetting a terrorist just because he hated her friends and wanted her back in the present day, even if she had support from even her father.
For the superhero scheduling system in place, it was decided that Adrien would have Tuesdays and Fridays to deal with even without backup while Marinette took the Mondays and Thursdays while occasionally using their normal clones and their former time clones.
But this time around, they were heavily relying on their former time clones because they wanted to be ready for the Lady Wifi incident to begin its first stages if there was a traffic Akuma happening.
Of course, Wednesdays were known to be half-days and Saturdays or Sundays would be days where Adrien had a photoshoot, so they were excluded from the schedule system.
Still, Adrien was indeed able to focus on what Ms. Bustier was saying.
Marinette and Adrien listened attentively to Ms. Bustier talking about the class' homework of the day and waited for the vibrations in their heads that notified them if Scarab Woman and Tomcat Noir needed help.
Alya takes out a picture of Ladybug and cuts out the armored helmet face part of the picture.
Alya looks through the cutout at the faces of her classmates to determine who best resembles Ladybug, albeit despite the fact that Ladybug's masked helmet more or less resembles an actual ladybug's head, thoroughly covering up her human face and her hair.
Ms. Bustier says, "I'm very pleased with how all of you did on your last assignment yesterday. Most of you have really risen up to the challenge, so to speak, and I do appreciate it. Now, it's time to move on to our next assignment."
Alya looks at Chloe through the cutout, and she points sharply at Ms. Bustier with a "Don't even think about it" look in her eyes.
Alya looks at Ms. Bustier's face through the cutout and sheepishly and quickly puts the picture away.
Ms. Bustier then asks, "Marinette, did you use the bathroom when you had the chance?"
Marinette answers, "Yes, Ms. Bustier, I sure did."
Ms. Bustier replies, "Good to hear."
The bell rings, and the students prepare to leave the classroom.
Ms. Bustier says as she passes out papers, "Tonight, I want you all to read chapter three of the breathtaking France: The First Thousand Years, then answer this simple questionnaire."
Ms. Bustier then says as she passes Marinette's homework to her, "You and Adrien along with Alix, Chloe and Sabrina did good ever since the start of the school year."
Marinette nods before packing her homework.
Marinette and Adrien then quickly waved goodbye before bolting out of the school and into different alleyways without cameras to transform into Ladybug and Cat Noir.
After getting to the area of the Akuma attack, Ladybug asks, "Scarab, what's the scoop?"
Scarab Woman answers, "Traffic themed Akuma."
It didn't take long to defeat this Akuma, and for once in a while, neither of them needed to use their powers once or multiple times.
Outside the classroom, Alya tries to call Marinette, but her voicemail answers, "It's Marinette, leave a message, and I'll get back to you."
Alya hangs up.
Alya enters the girls' bathroom and asks, "Marinette? You in here?"
Hearing no one, Alya leaves the bathroom.
In the courtyard, Alya sees Rose and Juleka.
Alya asks, "Uhh, have you guys seen Marinette anywhere?"
Rose and Juleka answer in unison, "Mm-mm." "No."
In the locker room, Chloe opens her locker and takes out her bag.
Alya enters the locker room and asks, "Chloe, have you seen Marinette anywhere?"
Chloe answers, "No, I haven't, but I do suspect that whatever she's doing, she'll head straight home after she's finished."
Alya then makes sure that Chloe's not looking so she can hide behind the lockers and see what Chloe is taking out.
Chloe is seen taking out several notebook journals, several spare tablet stylus pens, and several spare calculators before putting them in her backpack.
Alya hides fully behind the lockers and Chloe closes her locker before leaving.
Alya then whispers to herself, "(Softly) If Chloe's Ladybug, why wouldn't she carry a Ladybug costume and yoyo with her?"
Outside the school, Chloe runs home.
Alya follows her, but she is too late.
Alya phones Marinette's voicemail and says, "Hey, Marinette, it's Alya; ring me ASAP. We gotta talk. Call me when you get this, please."
Alya hangs up and softly gasps as soon as she sees Nino walking by.
Alya then says, "Hey, Nino!"
Nino asks, "Yeah?"
Alya then says, "Come with me, I need your help!"
Alya pulls Nino to the bench on the riverside of the Seine.
Nino starts to ask, "So – "
Alya shushes him and calls Marinette again, but Marinette's voicemail says, "It's Marinette, leave a message, and I'll get back to you."
Alya groans as she hangs up, "Ugh, I hate it when she goes AWOL. She's not even answering my calls and calling me back! Where is that girl when class ends or when class is in progress?!"
Nino then says, "Seriously, no joke; my man Adrien's the same way. But I guess you gotta be tricky when Mr. Control Freak is your daddy-o."
Alya's phone rings.
Alya answers her phone and Nadia Chamack says in a news report, "Once again, the Oracle Knights have saved Paris from the clutches of a menacing villain. Right over to our reporter on the scene, Clara Contard."
Clara Contard then says before asking Ladybug, "Thank you, Nadia. I'm here with Ladybug and Pipevine. So, Ladybug, Pipevine, I have three questions in particular that people in the city have been burning to ask. First, what is the secret to using your powers without a time limit in a hypothetical situation?"
Ladybug answers, "Not to give anything away, but the most crucial thing about a heroic Miraculous user is this: if they were to become adults, whether physically or mentally by powering through their darkest hour, the Miraculous user in question will be able to use their powers as many times as they want, but the more that a Miraculous superpower is used without the kwami tied to the Miraculous jewel in question being fed shortly after unlocking such an upgrade, the weaker the Miraculous jewel's powers become."
Clara winces in sympathy before asking, "Okay, and second question for Pipevine: how can we tell the differences between an Akuma butterfly, a Tenshi butterfly, and a Kamiko butterfly?"
Pipevine answers, "An Akuma butterfly is black with translucent purple streaks on its wings. A Tenshi butterfly is yellow-green, lilac, and white with golden plumes coming from its wings. And a Kamiko butterfly is eggplant purple, lilac, and violet with golden-white plumes coming from the golden-white streaks on the energized butterfly's wings. Those are the differences between an Akuma butterfly, a Tenshi butterfly, and a Kamiko butterfly."
Clara's coworkers write that down and she asks, "Okay, last question: what is your business relationship between yourself and Pipevine along with the rest of your teammates, Ladybug?"
Ladybug answers flawlessly, "Well, Titania, Falena, Ombre, Kondraki, Lightwing, Farfella, Pipevine, Swallowtail, Viceroy Skipper, Morpho, Argus Violet, Brushmark, Nymph Moth, and Orchid Swimmer are our team's Tenshized and Kamikotized superhero recruiters among other synonyms for the two names of their shared Miraculous superpower. Blue Velvet, Jean Velvet, Pavo, Plumage, Green Pheasant, Mayurika, Strut Fowl, and Whistler Bird are our Sentibeing, Sentimonster, Sentinel, and Sentribeing makers, and their creations are the same thing in those four names I just said along with synonyms for their names. With our former time clones wielding different timeline iterations of our Miraculouses, that basically entails that we have the same powers and the same power sources, thankfully without needing to worry about who is who."
Clara asks, "So, that's the reason why your former time clones look like you guys, but at the same time have opposite colors?"
Ladybug answers, "Exactly."
Alya then looks at Ladybug's yoyo holstered at her lift hip.
Alya then says, "Hey! I think I've just sniffed out who the real Ladybug is!"
She writes something on a sticky note, and she whispers to Nino, "(Softly) Chloe."
Nino's eyes widened, and then he laughs before saying, "Pff hahahahahahahaha! Chloe? Seriously? She's got too much on her plate with her exercise schedule, running things as Class Representative, making sure that incompetent teachers and unrepentant bullies are punished severely, making sure that contingency plans for anything don't go unhitched, and making sure to comfort anyone having an off day even after being deakumatized. You are cray-cray, lady!"
Alya replies hotly, "I am so not! You'll see!"
Alya rushes off.
Meanwhile, Ladybug flies over the rooftops of Paris and says to Cat Noir, "See you later, Cat."
Cat Noir replies, "See ya."
Ladybug then reaches an alleyway with a billboard and detransforms back into Marinette.
Marinette starts walking home.
Tikki says as she walks alongside Marinette in human form, "Time flies when you're saving the world. The day's already over!"
Marinette replies, "Yep, but on the bright side, with our team's foreknowledge and with no identity shenanigans among us along with our armies of clones, we have it about 75% easier than our normal timeline counterparts."
Tikki then says, "Gabi whatever his name is sure is keeping us on our toes."
Marinette laughs in response as she says, "Well, it's ironic, because your human form does have cute toes."
Tikki blushes at that.
Marinette and Tikki enter the bakery and there at the register is Sabine.
Sabine says, "Make sure you do all of your homework, and then help us out."
Marinette nods.
Marinette goes upstairs to her room, and Marinette says, "Ladybug saved the day, and Marinette's foreknowledge will help her with her homework."
Tikki giggles as she says, "You just referred to yourself and Ladybug in the third person."
Marinette replies, "Haha! So I did."
Marinette then brings out her school tablet and sees the sticky post-it note.
Marinette says as she reads the note, "Call me, I know who the real Ladybug is."
Tikki then asks, "So, since this is the past, one year in the past to be exact, Alya's jumping to conclusions again?"
Marinette answers, "Yes, and no doubt that the cell tower is undergoing maintenance."
Marinette gets started on her homework.
After finishing, Marinette then heads down into the bakery, and Maberly says, "Marinette, what about calling Alya?"
Marinette answers, "Some things we keep in chronological order, Tikki. Butterfly Effect and Chaos Theory and all of that stuff."
The next day, at Francoise Dupont, Chloe and Sabrina arrive at the school.
Some students are watching them, including Aurore and Mireille.
Marinette comes up and the three girls give each other la bise.
The three girls enter the school.
Off to the side of the stairwell, Nino says, "You seriously need to have your head examined. If she's a superhero, then I'm the Wizard of Oz."
Alya then says, "I'm telling you, she's Ladybug!"
Nino questions, "Can you prove it?"
Alya yanks Nino to follow her by his headphones.
In the locker room, Alya spies Chloe opening her locker.
Alya grabs Nino by his face and says, "Now don't mess up your lines."
She pushes Nino to the lockers.
Nino bumps his shoulder into the locker, but he thankfully barely felt the impact because it wasn't a full speed collision.
Chloe looks at Nino sharply, and Nino says, "It's Ladybug! Look over there!"
Chloe scoffs, "Haha! Yeah, right! Like I believe that crap! And besides, what kind of lame joke is that supposed to be?"
Nino answers, "Uh, well, wh-what I meant was... (leans to Chloe's face) did you see Ladybug yesterday? Isn't she amazing? I wonder who she is."
Chloe pushes Nino away from her face and asks before saying, "First of all, haven't you heard of personal space? And secondly, yes, I was watching the news report because I refuse to go anywhere near Akuma attack sites, unlike her! (Pointing at Alya)"
Chloe then demands as she sees what Alya was about to do, "And what exactly do you think you're doing?! Huh?!"
Alya stammers, "I-uh-um-uh..."
Chloe then says, "To Mr. Damocles' office, now!"
In Mr. Damocles' office, Chloe then says coolly, "So, in conclusion, Mr. Damocles, Alya has always been jumping to conclusions based on whatever amounts of intel she gets on any subject she's familiar with, but this particular case really tops the list. She literally tried to take a picture of the inside of my locker without permission just because she thought I was Ladybug due to the fact that I came up with the idea of the Akuma Alert App."
Mr. Damocles then stormily looks at Alya, who gulps nervously.
Mr. Damocles then asks, "Alya, have you seriously been ignoring Marinette's claims about the reasons why superheroes should keep their identities a secret?"
Alya says in denial, "I haven't been ignoring anything – "
But Chloe interrupts to point out, "Don't be an idiot; you literally keep trying to investigate Ladybug's true identity without permission or proper regard of the consequences for doing so, even despite the number of times you've been told to stop. If your parents heard about this, you'd have bigger things to worry about than just being sent to detention."
Mr. Damocles says, "Exactly. Alya Cesaire, you have two hours of detention after school for what you've been doing."
Alya exclaims before growling, "What?! This is so unfair! I wanted to find out her identity to thank her for her services! If Chloe's not a superhero, she must be some sort of super liar!"
Alya storms off.
Chloe sighs as she says, "Mr. Damocles, thank you for your time and sorry for the trouble, but something tells me we're not out of the woods yet."
Mr. Damocles replies, "Yes, considering the Akumatizations of Mr. Bruel, Ms. Beauréal, and Ms. Kubdel, I'd say you may be right."
Chloe and Nino leave.
In Hawk Moth's lair, the window opens and Hawk Moth says, "Ahhh... School life. Such a science experiment. It's nothing short of a petri dish of cultivating secrets, lies, and betrayal, the perfect, living and thriving vivarium for my Akumas."
Hawk Moth turns a butterfly into an Akuma.
Hawk Moth sends it off and says, "Fly away, my little Akuma, and evilize her!"
The Akuma flies off.
Meanwhile, in Pipevine's lair, she senses the positive emotions of empathy, passion, admiration, and happiness from Fedelm Ceacarescu, a Lycée International de Saint-Germain-en-Laye student and video blogger who got accepted into university for graduation day to become a social media influencer.
Pipevine remarks, "Ahh... school life. Reminds me of my childhood in China. Though it wasn't as good in China as much as in Paris."
Pipevine makes a Kamiko and sends it on its way to Fedelm's bedroom.
Meanwhile, Swallowtail senses the same positive emotions from Humaid Ceaderholm, a Lycée Louis-le-Grand student who got promoted in her job of data filtering for computer companies to filter data and help people be able to detect viruses faster.
Swallowtail then makes a Tenshi and sends it to Humaid's bedroom.
Meanwhile, at Francoise Dupont, Alya walks downstairs carefully, running away from the school.
Alya winds up heading to the Seine riverbank.
Alya tries to call Marinette, but Marinette's voicemail says, "It's Marinette, leave a message and I'll get back to you."
Alya slumps with her head on her knees, and the Akuma flies into her phone.
Hawk Moth remarks, "Lady Wifi, I heard through the grapevine that you're seeking to unmask Ladybug... so, I'd like to help you out if you agree to help me too."
Alya/Lady Wifi replies darkly, "I'll expose the lies of anyone who covers up the truth! Sign me up!"
Alya turns into Lady Wifi.
Meanwhile, the Kamiko merges with Fedelm's phone, earrings, glasses, and watch.
Pipevine says, "Lady Internet, I am Pipevine. I'm granting you the powers you'll need to defeat Hawk Moth's newest victim, Alya Cesaire, also known as Lady Wifi. You and your fellow champion Techno-Master must make sure to separate Lady Wifi from her phone and break it to release the Akuma so that Ladybug can purify the dark butterfly. But time is of the essence because Alya is looking to expose Ladybug's identity."
Fedelm/Lady Internet replies, "Well, I'm so in, madam."
Fedelm turns into Lady Internet, an armored opposite color version of Lady Wifi.
Meanwhile, the Tenshi makes its way Humaid's bedroom and merges with his phone, wallet, gloves, glasses, and acceptance papers in his backpack.
Swallowtail says, "Techno-Master, I am Swallowtail. I'm granting you the power you'll need to help your new fellow champion Lady Internet deal with Hawk Moth's newest victim, Alya Cesaire, aka Lady Wifi. But make sure that none of your objects get removed or damaged, otherwise your transformation will drop and your powers will be gone with it."
Humaid/Techno-Master replies, "You got it, Swallowtail."
Humaid turns into Techno-Master, a male armored version of Lady Wifi with both Lady Wifi's color scheme and Lady Internet's color scheme.
In Ms. Bustier's classroom, Marinette asks Adrien in Chinese sign language, "So, we're in agreement that Alya's been sentenced to detention and gotten Akumatized?"
Adrien signs in agreement, "Yep. Honestly, if it wasn't for the identity rule in the original timeline, I'd have told you back then that this was how I felt when Nino was Akumatized for the first time."
Marinette nods in understanding.
Just then, the computer screen lights up, revealing Lady Wifi in a previous video recording.
Lady Wifi says, "I'm Lady Wifi, the revealer of the truth! For our first exposé, your principal would like to share a little tidbit with you. So, Mr. Damocles, is it true that you wrongly sentenced to detention a student named Alya Cesaire today?"
Mr. Damocles answers, "Yes, I sentenced Ms. Cesaire to detention, but I was doing my job because she tried to take a photo of the inside of Chloe Bourgeois' locker without permission just to prove that Ms. Bourgeois was Ladybug."
Lady Wifi growls, "Are you calling me a liar?"
Mr. Damocles says, "I'm stating the facts, while busting a lie told in your Akumatized brain."
Lady Wifi spin kicks Mr. Damocles in the face hard enough to knock him out.
Marinette and Adrien notice the ladybug charm on Lady Wifi's phone.
Marinette and Adrien nod at each other before scurrying out the classroom quick-like and as discreetly as possible.
Marinette and Adrien enter the bathrooms and they transform into Ladybug and Cat Noir.
Ladybug and Cat Noir fly out of the bathrooms and they converge with their entire team in the skies of Paris.
Meanwhile, Lady Wifi says in the recording, "For my next scoop, I'll be taking all of you to meet the girl who's been hiding behind the Ladybug masked helmet resembling an actual ladybug's head! Stay connected!"
She turns the screen off.
Ms. Bustier says, "Everyone, for your own safety, go directly home right now! And don't forget to read chapters four and five!"
The students evacuate from the school.
At the sight of the Grand Paris, on a rooftop shaped similarly to the Agreste mansion, Cat Noir then says, "Since Lady Wifi is Alya, as our memories dictate, and who else could it be if Hawk Moth had a radar for people experiencing even one hint of sadness or anger, then she's probably gonna go after Chloe."
Cat Noir takes out his staff and accesses the long range see-through camera option.
Cat Noir almost choked on his saliva when he saw that Chloe was indeed sitting at her work desk with three laptop computers open, the first one having the website version of the Akuma Alert App on it, the second one having the codes for the app on it, and the third one having a document open to type in what sorts of things for the app needed to be changed to work properly.
Cat Noir and the others hear Chloe say with her headset on as she and Max exchange back and forth small talk, "Yes, Max, I'm finding the missing features right now. (Max: Are you presently helping fix the bugs?) Yes, I'm helping fix the bugs in the program. (Max: Are there any changes we need to make to ensure that the app functions properly?) Yes, there are a few changes we need to make for the app to be used by everyday citizens. (Max: Shall we work together, my intellectual sister in all but name?) Please, there's no need for flattery. And yes, we do indeed need to work together. After all, all of the greatest teams of engineers, inventors, and construction workers learned to work together to make their projects complete. (Max: For example?) For example? Um, I believe one prominent example would be the construction workers who built the Eiffel Tower. (Max: Really?) Yes, really; despite the fact that modern construction equipment didn't exist back in the 1800s, the construction materials and plans for different structures and cities were still going to pave the way for modern construction to improve on any flaws from earlier human centuries of construction. (Max: Oh.) Anyway, I'm a bit surprised that you got a lot of this done so rapidly. (Max: Well, not only am I scared of you even though I have every right to be, but I also desire to do the right thing and I also desire to get professional credentials for my work when I get my dream job.) I see. Anyway, I'm almost done with the first quarters of my assignment on this. But there's a problem: as you know, Alya's been Akumatized into Lady Wifi, and because of this, she might come after me to freeze me in place just so she can '"expose"' me as Ladybug. (Max: How illogical is Alya in this kind of thinking before she got Akumatized?) She wants to know Ladybug's identity despite the many times some of us, Marinette and myself included, told her to stop while using examples from superhero comic books and movies about the consequences of a superhero's identity being public knowledge of any type, including worldwide, citywide, and countrywide. And unfortunately, Alya thinks I'm Ladybug because of the fact that I was the one who came up with the idea for the Akuma Alert App. (Max: Alya's gonna be in serious trouble after this, isn't she?) I may not be her mother, but I do know that Alya rarely learns her lesson for longer than necessary. Seriously, I read it in her psychiatry files with Mr. Damocles' permission."
Cat Noir remarks, "Wow. She really does know almost everything and what's she doing."
Ladybug remarks, "Who's being a sneaky kitty now?"
Cat Noir almost jumped in midair but he caught himself when he remembered that Ladybug was hovering next to him.
Cat Noir says, "I forgot you were right there this whole time."
Ladybug remarks, "Oh, then you're a bit jumpy and forgetful, kitten?"
Cat Noir replies, "Say what you will, but back in the other one, we couldn't deny that you had a die-hard fan."
Ladybug remarks, "A copycat cosplayer?"
Cat Noir laughs heartily at that.
Cat Noir remarks, "Wow, I knew you were funny, but I didn't think you were this funny."
Ladybug replies before asking everyone, "I can be funny when I want to be. Stake out plan, everyone?"
Everyone vocally agreed.
Cat Noir then asks, "So, any idea why Alya thinks Chloe is Ladybug in this timeline?"
Ladybug answers, "Beats me, but based on our intel, we have confirmation that this time, Alya thinks Chloe is me just because she came up with the Akuma Alert App idea to do much for the people of our city so long as Hawk Moth maintains his hold over the original Butterfly Miraculous. She did leave me a note about it, but there was no wifi service for an hour and then I had to do my homework. But anyway, I did intend for her to get Akumatized to avoid the Butterfly Effect, but I don't intend to make this a habit."
Jean Velvet remarks, "Good to hear, sweetheart; sometimes there are things to keep in chronological order, other times there are things that need to change. It's purely a matter of whether or not you have backup plans and if you know what you're doing."
Ladybug nods before asking, "So, this is what you meant earlier today, Cat?"
Cat Noir answers, "Yes. But I'll tell you what I told myself that day: you are here now, you're going to save her from Hawk Moth's control, and that's something you do with style and with great love."
Ladybug replies, "Well, that's because I have one amazing future boyfriend by my side and along with nearly nine hundred troops to help us when all else fails."
Just then, Chloe's phone rings.
Right when Chloe picks it up, a bright pinkish-purple light emits from the phone.
Chloe throws it towards the window and bolts for the door.
Lady Wifi appears in front of the door and says, "Well, hello there, Ladybug."
Chloe snarls, "Do you seriously think I'm Ladybug?! She's seven feet tall, for crying out loud!"
Lady Wifi looks at Chloe with narrowed eyes as she replies, "You're tall too, you know."
Chloe scoffs, "Yeah, a whopping six feet and three inches. And besides, my eyes are a different shade of blue than her eyes."
Lady Wifi exclaims, "What?! But I thought that you were Ladybug!"
Ladybug then says as she and the Oracle Knights converge into the room through the balcony doors, "Well, obviously not, Lady Wifi!"
Cat Noir says, "Sorry to bust your supposed news story. Next time, double-check your facts."
Scarlet Spots adds, "Like an actual reporter does."
Lady Wifi shrieks in rage as she fires pause symbols at the heroes, and even though they're immune to her powers, they still have to dodge the pause symbols to avoid giving anything away to Hawk Moth.
Lady Wifi then says, "Newsflash: let's find out who you really are, Ladybug!"
Ladybug snarls, "I think not, (bleep!)"
Cat Noir mentally says, "Apparently, some traces of her angriest personality and some traces of Shadybug's former negative traits including and excluding her temper have ingrained themselves into Marinette's brain."
Lady Wifi snarls back, "(Bleep!)?! I'll show you who's a (bleep!)"
Lady Wifi fires pause symbols and padlock symbols at the heroes, but they slowly get closer to her, making her back away.
Chloe gets in on the action, using her self-taught Krav Maga, Muay Thai, Russian Sambo, Jailhouse Rock, Jeet Kune Do, Taekwondo, Karate, Boxing, Kickboxing, Jiu Jitsu, Judo, Jujutsu, Aikido, Wing Chun, Tai Chi, American Kenpo, Angampora, Bakom, Bajiquan, Bando, Bartitsu, Bokh Wrestling, Budokan Karate, Budokon, Bojuka, Bokator, Bujutsu, Butthan, Capoeira, Choy Li Fut, Chun Kuk Do, Combat Hapkido, Combat Hopak, Coreeda, Cuong Nhu, Daito-Ryu Aikijujutsu, Dambe, Danzan Ryu, Defendo Alliance, Defendu, Dumog, Dutch Kickboxing, Eagle Claw Kung-Fu, Enshin Kaikan, Fu Jow Pai, Glima, Gongkwon Yusul, Hapkido, Huka-Huka, Hung Ga Kung-Fu, Huyen Langlon, Hwa Rang Do, Icho-Ryu, Kajukenbo, Keysi, Kokondo, Kuk Sool Won, Kung-Fu To'a, Kuntao, Kyuk Too Ki, Laamb, Leopard Kung-Fu, Lethwei, LimaLama, Linh Quyen Dao, Lua, Lutte Traditionnelle, Malla Yuddha, Monkey Kung-Fu, Moraingy, Nippon Kenpo, Niyuddha, Nuba Wrestling, Okichitaw, Panantukan, Pankration, Pencak Silat, Pradel Serey, Praying Mantis Kung-Fu, Quan Ki Do, Sanshou, Senegalese Wrestling, Shaolin Kempo Karate, Shaolin Kung-Fu, Shindo Jinen Ryu, Shootfighting, Shooto, Shorinji Kempo, Shuri-Ryu, Sibpalki, Sikaran, Silat, Small Circle Jujitsu, Ssireum, Taido, Taiho Jutsu, Tang Soo Do, Thien Mon Dao, To-Shin Do, Vale Tudo, Vovinam, Wen-Do, Wushu, Yaw Yan, Yongmudo, Yoseikan Budo, and Zui Quan Kung-Fu skills to combat Lady Wifi and keep her guessing.
But then, just fifteen seconds into the fight, Lady Wifi froze Chloe.
Lady Wifi then says, "So, she's not Ladybug after all. Well, even so, only Ladybug would train herself in various physical combat styles of martial arts from all around the world to the point where she'd be able to fight at near lightning speed."
Lady Wifi continues firing rapid-fire padlock and pause symbols at the heroes, and Ladybug says, "Follow me, fast!"
The heroes use their shared super speed to follow Ladybug down to the stairwells before Lady Wifi can even fire a padlock symbol at the doors.
Scarlet Spots asks, "So, what's the plan?"
Ladybug answers, "Her phone's powers come from the wifi antenna on the roof, and in every hotel basement, there's too much reinforced concrete to get a wifi signal!"
Cat Noir then adds, "No service, no power!"
Ladybug looks up at Lady Wifi and dodges a pause symbol.
Ladybug then calls out, "Go lower!"
Ladybug follows her teammates further to the basement.
Lady Wifi cackles, "Hahaha! I've got you now, Ladybug!"
Lady Wifi fires another pause symbol, but she misses.
Then her phone buzzes to notify her about the decreasing wifi service.
Lady Wifi growls as she realizes what the Oracle Knights were doing.
Lady Wifi then starts going back up and as the service on her phone resumes back to normal, she puts padlock symbols on the exit doors.
As Ladybug twirls her yoyo, she inquires, "Any of you think she found out what's going on?"
Cat Noir answers, "It is possible; we just need to listen carefully."
Suddenly, the sound of slamming doors made them look up.
Ladybug remarks, "Ah-ha! She went back upstairs to the dining room!"
The heroes run back upstairs.
Cat Noir complains, "Seriously?! Couldn't we just fly? I don't need this much cardio on my model diet!"
The heroes then carefully fly up to the door of the dining room.
Lady Internet asks as she and Techno-Master finish removing the symbols on everything that the symbols hit, "It's a trap, right?"
Ladybug replies before saying, "Unfortunately so. Get ready. One, two, three!"
Ladybug and Cat Noir kick the door open and they see that they are indeed in the hotel dining room, which more or less looks like the dining room of a sit-down restaurant.
And along with that, Lady Wifi is nowhere to be seen and there are smartphones placed on the tables.
Cat Noir remarks, "With these phones, she can instantly teleport from one table and phone to another without limit."
A pink light comes out of a phone and Lady Wifi appears.
Lady Wifi briefly cackles and throws pause symbols at the heroes, but their close proximity to Lady Internet and Techno-Master enables them to throw the pause symbols back at Lady Wifi.
Lady Wifi snarls as she dodges her own pause symbols, "Hey, that's not fair!"
Ladybug replies, "Sorry, pal, but life isn't fair; it's how you deal with it that really matters."
Lady Wifi then throws addition and multiplication symbols at the phones to make them multiply and then she uses the phones to throw pause symbols at the heroes from all directions, much to even Ladybug's shock.
Cat Noir says as he stays on the move, "How now, brown cow?! I thought it was LB she was after!"
Cat Noir tries to shield himself with a dining table, but a pause symbol thrown onto the table launches him into a wall and makes him fall onto another table where a phone on the top drops to the floor in the instant that Cat Noir flops hard onto it.
Ladybug then throws her yoyo at Lady Wifi's face and she smacks her Akumatized friend hard enough to disorient her and then yanks her phone out of her hands.
Then, Scarlet Spots starts breaking all of the other phones with his own yoyo tied to a battle hammer.
Lady Wifi tackles Ladybug into a wall and takes her phone back before running into the kitchen.
Ladybug then duplicates herself once and nods at her before whispering, "(Softly) Cat Noir, initiate Operation: Service Out!"
As Ladybug Clone 1 follows Lady Wifi into the kitchen, Cat Noir flies to the roof and spots the wifi antenna.
Ladybug Clone 1 follows Lady Wifi into the kitchen, and Lady Wifi tosses a padlock symbol at the doors, locking them both in.
On the roof, Cat Noir says, "Cataclysm!"
In the kitchen, Ladybug Clone 1 throws a pause symbol back at Lady Wifi and she dodges it.
Ladybug Clone 1 throws a handled pot at Lady Wifi, but she dodges it too.
Ladybug Clone 1 uses her natural ladybug abilities to get behind Lady Wifi and dropkick her into a wall.
But Lady Wifi rebounds and pins Ladybug Clone 1's hands to a wall with two padlock symbols.
Ladybug Clone 1 doesn't even struggle.
Lady Wifi puts a camera icon in front of Ladybug Clone 1.
Lady Wifi remarks from a projection in the sky, "Who is Ladybug? Is she a superhero or a super-weirdo? How can we trust the girl when we have no idea who she really is? We have the right to know!"
Ladybug Clone 1 retorts, "Unh-unh, nobody except my team has that right. You in particular have not even earned it because of your stubborn bullheadedness, pride, ignorance, arrogance, and greed!"
Lady Wifi knees Ladybug Clone 1 in the stomach, but she screams in pain because Ladybug Clone 1's stomach was protected by armor.
Lady Wifi groans as she hops on one foot multiple times and says, "Ow, ow, ow! Ough! I guess the videos online weren't lying; you are wearing a suit of armor after all!"
Lady Wifi then grabs Ladybug Clone 1's face and tries to remove her helmet, but it won't come off.
Lady Wifi demands, "Why doesn't it come off?"
Ladybug Clone 1 answers in her real voice, "Because for one, only I can remove it, and second, you just got tricked by the old fake Ladybug trick!"
To emphasize her point, the symbols disappear, Ladybug Clone 1 disappears, and Lady Wifi sees that her internet connection was severed.
Lady Wifi shouts, "No! Lost the signal!"
Ladybug comes in and says, "That's because the wifi antenna is no more!"
Lady Wifi then charges at Ladybug, but over the course of the next three point four minutes, Ladybug manages to overpower Lady Wifi using the same moves that Ip Man, Bruce Lee, Brandon Lee, Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Michelle Yeoh, Chuck Norris, Tony Jaa, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Cynthia Rothrock, Jim Kelly, Sonny Chiba, Mark Dacascos, Kara Wai, Toshiro Mifune, Shang-Chi, Karnak, Iron Fist, Black Panther, Taskmaster, Cat, Captain America, Deadpool, Wolverine, Mister X, Bucky Barnes, Thanos, Gamora, Elektra Natchios, Killmonger, Black Widow, Namor the Sub-Mariner, Stick, Daredevil, Echo, Moon Knight, Batroc The Leaper, Hercules, The Kingpin, Nebula, Hawkeye, Sabretooth, Moondragon, Cable, Kraven The Hunter, Silver Sable, Crossbones, Mystique, Colleen Wing, Angela, Silver Samurai, Nightcrawler, X-23, Gorgon, Drax the Destroyer, The Red Skull, Thor, Beast, The Punisher, Skurge the Executioner, Domino, Medusa, Nick Fury, Hellcat, and their opponents all throughout the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies, martial arts movies, and the Marvel comic books had used many times in their fights.
Of course, because Ladybug was also relying on her super speed, it was a matter of time before Lady Wifi was down and out for the count.
Ladybug breaks Lady Wifi's phone, purifies the Akuma, summons her Lucky Charm to manifest a box, and she unleashes her Miraculous Ladybug, thus restoring everything back to normal.
Lady Wifi is turned back into Alya.
Alya asks in disorientation, "What?"
The entire team shares a fist bump.
Alya remarks, "The Oracle Knights! Wow! And two more heroes! Can I get a quick interview? Just let me grab my phone!"
As Alya turns her back, the heroes disappear into a nearby alleyway.
After the heroes disappear, Alya says as she turns around before asking as soon as she realizes that she's alone, "So – oh, no, where'd they go?"
Swallowtail and Pipevine say in unison, "Goodbye, Lady Internet." "Goodbye, Techno-Master."
They snap their fingers in unison, and Lady Internet and Techno-Master are turned back to normal.
The heroes then disappear to their headquarters and they take several routes back home after detransforming and feeding their kwamis.
Marinette then says, "Everyone, thanks for helping me out, but I gotta get ready for a judgement call."
In Chloe's bedroom, she had gotten herself ready for bed when her father Andre Bourgeois came in and hugged her tightly.
Andre says, "I'm glad you're okay, sweetheart."
In Hawk Moth's lair, Hawk Moth snarls, "Your mask and helmet will fall one day, Ladybug. Then you'll have no choice but to hand over your precious Ladybug Miraculous! It'll happen whether you like it or not!"
The next morning, Marinette says, "Sometimes I wonder why the Thomas Astruc of the real world outside of our Multiverse wanted to ensure that me and Adrien wouldn't reveal our identities to each other by accident on our first days or until Hawk Moth was defeated, and that still never happened even after Gabriel made his wish and even after Lila got the Butterfly Miraculous. And now, as I'd already lived a life as Ladybug once, I happen to know that many bad things had indeed happened if we didn't know our identities from the start."
Tikki inquires, "Would you have still told him even after Aziel, Aoife, Osvaldo, Tenley, Reggie, Calista, Atlas, Brea, Alfie, Lorelei, Orson, Harlow, Prescott, Rosario, Frederick, Michaela, Elias, Iris, Sylas, Renata, Sawyer, Jade, Khalid, and Darla explained everything about how horrible the original timelines really were?"
Marinette replies, "I can't speak for my counterparts in such a category of other timelines or other universes, but I'd definitely tell him as soon as we arrive to our first days on the job."
Tikki then questions, "So, are you going to tell Alya who you are? Aziel and the others did say that you refusing to reveal your identity to Alya for four seasons all the way to the Gang of Secrets episode incident was one of the dumbest decisions and biggest mistakes you ever made."
Marinette replies, "Maybe so, but remember what I said in the other one: sometimes your heart tells you one thing, but a great superhero always listens to his or her head. Or in other words, the imaginary voice of reason in their brains constituting their common sense and intelligence categories."
Tikki hides as Marinette comes into her bedroom and gets down to ground level.
Alya comes up and says, "Got it! Wanna see my new smartphone? It puts my old phone to shame! Just look at these pics!"
Marinette looks and asks jokingly, "What's with these pictures of Adrien? You gonna tell me he's some sort of male Ladybug now?"
Alya replies before asking, "Very funny, but now that you mention it, with a Cat Noir mask and costume, don't you think he looks like Cat Noir a tad?"
Marinette flips her coin and it lands on heads.
And so, Marinette proceeds to explain everything to Alya, right from the beginning of her new life all the way to the ending of her old one, and after flying two hundred sixty-one miles away from Paris, Alya and Marinette grieved over what they could've had in the original timeline if it wasn't for not only Master Fu's mistakes, but also the real Thomas Astruc and his posse directing the Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir cartoon the way they did for five seasons without complaints, without regrets, without proper regard for the consequences, and without suffering any forms of punishment.
And after Marinette ripped into Alya for the things she did in the original timeline and the same things she started to do before last night's Akuma battle – trying to find out Ladybug's identity without permission or regard of the consequences, believing Lila's lies, allowing herself to get roped into Lila's plans to ostracize Marinette, playing obsessive shipper on deck with Marinette's obsessive crush on Adrien, etc. – Alya vowed to stop the bad actions of herself and her counterparts right here and now.
Later on that Thursday, in Marinette's bedroom after school and after finishing her homework, Marinette looks over her episode list that Aziel, Aoife, Osvaldo, Tenley, Reggie, Calista, Atlas, Brea, Alfie, Lorelei, Orson, Harlow, Prescott, Rosario, Frederick, Michaela, Elias, Iris, Sylas, Renata, Sawyer, Jade, Khalid, and Darla had compiled for her to remember which Akumatized villain, Amokized Sentimonster, normal day, webisode, and so forth episodes happened one after another.
Marinette sees the one labeled, "Ladyblog."
Marinette scoff-laughs as she remarks, "Pfft hahahahahaha, it might as well be changed to Oracle Knight Blog because of the changes made to this timeline."
The End.
(Author's notes: How do ya like that? See you all in chapter 16: Oracle Knight Blog.)
