Wednesday

Let's start on what had happened earlier in the day.

Things were normal for the most part as stepmom dropped me, Abigail, and Zoey off to school today, though our classmates made no attempt to annoy us (though a few did) after seeing stepmom and stepdad looking angry yesterday.

Though I did want to check on Casey to see if she's doing okay, I managed to find out that was surrounded by a group of thug-like girls and was told to fight them in the forest after school, especially since her 'brother' isn't here to protect the blonde since he's already dead yesterday.

Plus, if Casey tells the teachers, the principal, the staff, Sona, and/or Rias, the thugs could go after her without warning.

Knowing that Casey is forced to comply with the thugs demands to fight them after school, I decided to get involve protecting her, not only to show how amazing I am standing up for her, but I also just don't want anyone getting bullied over this; especially since me, Abigail, and Zoey had to deal with the rumors already after stepmom dropped us off to school.

The rest of the day went on as normal, but that still didn't help ease my mind about the situation.

And while I didn't tell anyone about Casey's situation to the teachers and staff, that's mostly due to them not coming to our defense a few days ago.

Sona? Way too struck up at times and probably wouldn't help due to her attitude.

And Rias?

I'm not sure about the redhead, but I'm not sure if she might help come to Casey's defense without giving the blonde too much trouble.

Once school has ended, I decided to locate Casey outside the school near the forest incase anything unexpected occurs.

But I then saw the blonde trying her best to fight off these thugs, so clearly Casey's not used to combat.

Not wanting to get her hurt, I quickly emerged from the trees and confronted the thug girls, ready to risk life and limb to protect Casey.

Here's how that went:

"Oh look, it's step momma's boy," the lead thug girl mocked.

"Chance, get out of here!" Casey, battered and bruised, begged as tears were still forming in her eyes. "This is my fight!"

"And I rather not see you get hurt like this," I replied, not caring if I get hurt in the process.

The thug girls were about to get ready to fight me as I pulled out my backpack before placing my left hand into it before secretly activating Gemstone Crafter.

"I can't believe it," one of Thug girl's lackeys mocked with a cruel smile on her face. "Step momma's boy is reaching for his backpack."

"It doesn't matter anyway," Lead thug girl sneered as I get myself ready to use Gemstone Crafter. "Any last words before we pummel you alongside blondie?"

"Just this," a smirk came to my face. "Five large diamonds the size of basketballs will land straight on your heads."

"What does that . . ." She didn't have enough time to respond as five large diamonds were sent crashing down their heads, causing them to scream in pain as they clutch their bleeding heads while lying on the grass below.

I went to help get Casey on her feet, though she asked. "Where did the large diamonds come from?"

I didn't want to tell her about my gauntlet as I helped the blonde get onto her feet, so I said that I predicted the large diamonds would hit their heads.

I'm not if that worked or not, because Casey thanked me for saving her life.

Unfortunately, one of the teachers spotted us and the injured thug girls, and we're sent to detention for attacking them, even after Casey and I explained what had happened, but the teacher didn't budge.

Also, the thug girls were sent to the hospital for their injuries, though Casey and I didn't get in trouble with the police due to them not wanting Kuoh Academy to get into a scandal.

Though both of us were stuck in detention, that didn't last long as stepmom and stepdad came to the class, wanting to know what happened as we're around the hallways.

While Abigail and Zoey had to tell a teacher that the thug girls are going to hurt me and Casey, the outcome didn't go in their favor due to the misunderstanding, something I wasn't all too happy to hear.

Once we told her what really happened, alongside not wanting to tell teachers and or staff about it due to the threat (combined with concerns they won't come to Casey's defense), stepmom literally exploded in rage as she started to go to the principal office's, where she screamed at the teachers, staff, and principal for choosing to endanger their own students and punishing anyone that chooses to fight back or call for help, before vowing to sue the entire school like it's no tomorrow(alongside making sure nobody else goes to that school ever again).

After minutes of intense screaming (and stepdad having to restrain the livid stepmom), they told all three of us to return home once detention is finished, as they planned to give us homeschooling classes for the foreseeable future, as they cannot trust schools that want to protect thugs and criminals.

Not only that, my stepparents offered Casey a ride to her place, which she didn't mind but wanted to get to know the Motomeru family a little better, which they didn't mind as we head back home, though I wasn't in a mood to talk to Abigail and Zoey after they unwittingly put Casey and me into detention.

Back at home, while we're getting Casey well acquainted with us, I get an unexpected visit from Rias and Sona at the front door, the two wanting to chat with me privately as the three of us walked around the neighborhood.

The mood felt very quiet as the two young women glanced at me nonstop, which made me a bit nervous, though I kept my cool regardless.

The two then proceed to ask me random questions about various things, which I'd played along while not telling them about my gauntlet.

I thought they won't notice that it wasn't me when they told me that, as Rias saw a large black gem popping out of Kiba's head before disappearing into thin air, which is also something Gorou and Miki Hyoudou noted as they saw the same thing with Issei as well, combined with large diamonds crashing down the thug girls' heads, they think I'm the one responsible for this.

When asked why I'm a possible suspect, Rias explained that Koneko 'smell' something odd a few days ago as she and her clubmates were going to the ORC, thinking the scent was me.

Not only that, according to a 'certain' someone they kept anonymous, I barely seemed bitter and/or sad that Kiba, Issei, Matsuda, and Motohama were dead yesterday despite acting like this, alongside glaring at the former two without anyone noticing when they're still alive.

Despite being uncertain for now, Sona told me that I'm a possible suspect in their investigation and they're going to keep an eye on me until further notice.

I quickly panicked and summoned a gemstone to land the trash cans near an alleyway when they're a few people around to divert the girls' attention as they went to investigate, only to end up getting encased with a pinkish crystallized coating by Gemstone Crafter when they were about to turn around.

Though I was surprised I can do that right now, I didn't waste time before deciding to get rid of Rias and Sona before they could find out it was me.

I was ready to break them to pieces through brute force but discover they can be broken very easily, though I need to break them apart into sizable chunks before I can throw them to a trash dumpster and test to see how to deactivate the coating.

All I saw were the bloodied and dismembered remains of Rias and Sona, their surprised faces almost piercing my very own soul before I closed the hatch to the trash dumpster and quickly walked home.

So, while I need to figure out my new ability later, that can come later as I don't want anyone to suspect that it was me.

While I did manage to return home, I quickly made the excuse that I was chatting with Rias and Sona for a bit before they left to tend to their own affairs, which they didn't mind.

Casey and I chatted for a while even up to dinner before she wanted to return to her apartment, which stepmom offered to drop her off just in case of unwanted surprises.

Casey didn't mind and the two head out the door.

And before that, both stepmom and stepdad plan to have Casey enrolled in online homeschooling with the rest of us so that she can focus on her studies without anyone bothering us, with all four of us taking afternoon programs to help socialize with the other a little better, which Casey didn't mind as well.

The rest of the even was spent at my room resting before I write my journal down, but I just hope nobody else is investigating over the deaths of Rias and Sona, because Casey would never love a murderer like me.
