Night 1, 7:30PM, Dance Practice Room
We can see the camera just moving forward towards a long hallway. Or in fact, the cameraman is actually WALKING. It enters the dance practice room, where we can see the five hosts approaching the center of the room. The thirty contestants were standing behind them. All five hosts then turned towards the camera.
"Last time on Total Drama Act II," Chris began. "We've discovered some… camera-worthy secrets about some of our contestants by our first trivia challenge! Rival had schizophrenia, Mag's father and Carter's mother, Gordon's suicide attempt, Ryder's fame monger parents, and Colin's downtrodden-ness. We also had a sudden death round between Mag the vengeful girl and Lyle the ballerino who claimed that Evander had a bulky body… Oh wait. Oli said that."
"Nice job on messing up the intro, Chris!" Brea snarked at him. "Anyway, Minor A were the winners of the advantage by breaking the tiebreaker between both Minor teams. Major B, Minor A, and Minor B are secured for the second half of the challenge with Minor A getting an advantage. However, Major A also gets a teeny disadvantage. Who knows what kind of these boosts and curses are? I don't know!"
Blaineley raised a brow at the young hostess.
"Really, I don't know." She shrugged.
"Wait, seriously Brea? You're the one who is making the entire season using Google Docs and posting it on some fanfic site and you don't know what advantages and disadvantages these peeps get?" Blaineley retorted at her.
"Well, I'm not the one deciding who gets what!" Brea shot back with her hands up defensively. "It was Don!"
"Hm? Someone said my name?" Don perked up.
"Yeah, someone did." Chef yawned a bit.
"Wait, why'd you call us here?" Arreis raised her hand as a few nods followed.
"We're explaining what you'll be doing later." Blaineley told them. "Remember your code numbers?"
"Oh, the B3 and MS4 thingy?" Robert asked. "Kinda. I think I remember being… MT5?"
(A/N: Speaking of codes, they're all written in the bottom of the first chapter ;D)
"When we call your code number, you will be performing. You can sing a song, dance a choreo, rap a song, or even act out a monologue. The decision is yours and yours only." Brea explained.
"Wait, we can't perform in pairs or groups?" Gabe raised his hand.
"Nope."
Several groans came out from the contestants.
"Also, you can practice for the time being. Because the judges will be here… right at nine o'clock." Chef added as he took a gander at his watch.
"You kidding me? So we're gonna be seeing that old hag again?" Kimmie frowned. Robert nudged her elbow, reminding her not to disrespect any other authority.
"I'd not call Ms. Rosewood an old hag if I were you." Mairead whispered into the dreamer's ear.
"..."
"No one else is gonna watch us, right?" Oli asked.
"Oh, maybe a few staff members, and also the new mentors." Chris pointed out.
"Mentors!?" Oli gasped.
"Yeah. Mentors. You'll meet 'em later. I promise they don't bite. Trust me, you guys probably know two of them." Chris smirked.
Kimmie (Minor A): "I hope it's not Amy or Heather. Remember how they judged us last season? Not to mention, Jacques and Josee. Ugh."
"Now scram, maggots! While there's still time!" Chef shouted and everyone ran out of the room like wild hyenas. "When are we going to cut the intro?"
"We're cutting it right now…" Chris sighed. "Right here on Total. Drama. Act II. Musical Power!"
"Did he just hogged up the whole intro thingy?" Blaineley asked before the screen faded to the theme song.
Total Drama Act II: Musical Power
Episode 3: Show Me What You're Made Of
"All you have to do is just give it your all!"
Night 1, 7:45 PM, 1 hour before the challenge
MUSIMENTAL THEATER - MUSIC ROOM
The camera pans onto Beatrice, standing in front of a red door. Ryder and May were trailing behind her.
"I guess this is the music room, isn't it?" May asked.
"Let's see." Beatrice said as she twisted the doorknob and opened it, revealing a rather large room with several musical instruments laying around. There were labels on each part of the room. On the far right side was the Strings section. On the far left side was the Woodwind section. The right side near the door was the Brass section and on the side adjacent from that was the Percussion section. Standing there in the middle was a beautiful, black, grand piano. The three contestants gasped at the sight of so many instruments in one large room.
"Wow, this is amazing!" Ryder widened his eyes at the vast sight. "I wish I knew how to play an instrument."
"Oh my god!" Beatrice squealed at the sight of the piano and ran to it. "It's so beautiful!" She whispered to herself and sat on the piano seat and played a short part of "Für Elise" by Beethoven to give it a test.
May went on to check in the Woodwind section and picked up a flute. 'My cousin used to play a flute… back when I was little…' She thought to herself.
Meanwhile, Ryder sat next to Beatrice on the piano bench. "Mind teaching me a few piano tricks?" He chuckled a bit.
Beatrice looked up to him with her round green eyes and gave him a smile. "Sure."
"So… teach me how to play that snippet you were playing earlier." Ryder smirked at her.
"Oh, you mean Für Elise? Took me about a year to master that." Beatrice laughed a bit and grabbed his right hand, placing it on one side of the piano keys. "I used only two fingers for this part."
Ryder suddenly blushed a bit, feeling Beatrice's hand on top of his, but she didn't seem to notice. "Oh… okay. Which one?"
"This." Beatrice said as she played the beginning part of the song, guiding Ryder's hand using hers.
On the other side, May gasped a bit, looking towards the two.
Ryder accidentally made his hand hit a wrong note.
"Sorry…" Ryder apologized sheepishly but Beatrice just laughed.
"Nah, you were great." Beatrice smiled and leaned on his shoulder. "I should teach you again sometime. When we get the chance of course."
The timid girl stood up and caught May who was looking at them with a huge blush in her face but instantly went back to looking at the flute she was holding, hoping that Beatrice didn't notice her at all.
"You alright, May?" Beatrice asked and walked up to her, with Ryder following suit.
"Yeah, it's just that this flute reminds me of my cousin…" May stated through her teeth. She was not lying, but she didn't want to tell them what she feels, considering Ryder was there with them.
"Your cousin plays the flute? Sweet!" Ryder grinned.
May (Major A): "I haven't really told Beatrice about this yet… but, I kinda like Ryder. I think I hid it too well, so you all probably might think that this is coming out of nowhere. But… Why do I get this sudden feeling of jealousy when Beatrice is with him? She's my best friend so far. What am I gonna do? I'm a hopeless romantic."
Ryder (Major A): "I kinda like Beatrice. She's calm and sweet and all that. Plus, she knows how to play the piano! May is also pretty cool, she even has a cousin who can play the flute so probably she can play it too. How come I don't know anything about instruments?"
Beatrice (Major A): "May is my best friend so far. But I'm seeing myself with Ryder too! I like him already!" She then widens her eyes. "No, not like that, mind you."
MAJOR HOUSE - MAJOR A ROOM
Colin was sitting in his bunk, looking strangely at the Eighth Note he and Ryder found not too long ago. After a few seconds, he was startled by Nash who just approached him.
"Howdy, Colin!" Nash greeted. "What you got there, partner?"
Colin gasped and hid the item quickly under his blankets. "Nothing important. Why talk to me?"
"Well… no one's in here but just us two. Beatrice, Ryder, and May went to check on the Music Room, Arreis is in the backyard practicing her dance and Antoinette's in the medical room having her nose checked." He grimaced at his own mention of Antoinette. "It's not like anyone wants to go check up on that old woman."
Colin narrowed his eyes at his mention of Ryder hanging out with Beatrice and May. "Figured he would leave me eventually."
"Who?" Nash asked.
"Ryder." Colin rolled his eyes and grabbed his blanket, not realizing that pulling it will eventually reveal what's under it. Nash widened his eyes and grabbed the item Colin was hiding.
"What's this?" Nash asked as he held it up.
Colin looked at Nash, wondering what he was talking about but when he saw what the young cowboy was holding, his eyes widened and gasped loudly.
"NASH!" Colin shouted and snatched the item away from the messy-brown haired cowboy.
Nash gasped at the black-haired boy's sudden action. "Why, partner?"
"It's… none of your business." Colin frowned and rushed out of the room.
He then ran into the house's restroom between both Major rooms, and locked the door shut.
The downed boy stared at the Eighth Note for a bit in his hands and sighed… then looked at his reflection in the mirror and closed his eyes. This season was getting a bit hard for him. He can't tell if he's getting insulted by others or just judge him.
Suddenly, the door knocked, making Colin jump a bit.
"Partner? Are you in there? You okay?" Nash's voice rang from the other side. "We can talk this out if you need to. I don't bite!"
He did not answer. But should he trust Nash? Should he trust Ryder? Considering they were both concerned for him...
Colin (Major A): "I can't let anyone else know about this item… yet. Nash seems to be worried for me, but who cares. I'm always a goner."
Nash (Major A): "W-why is Colin acting like that all of a sudden? Something the matter, partner?"
BACKYARD
The camera pans to Arreis, who was practicing her dance for her performance. Her phone was placed on a little wooden table, playing some Billie Eilish music.
"You have… some taste of music." A voice chuckled from behind, making the magenta-haired girl turn around and stopped her dancing.
"Oh. What do you want, Antoinette?" Arreis sighed as she paused the music playing from her phone. "And… nice nose. I hope you don't die from not breathing in there." She snickered.
"Oh, nothing. It's a nice nose actually." Antoinette smirked sassily with obvious sarcasm. The bridge of her nose was covered in gauze, leaving her nostrils to enable her breathing. "I was just wondering… how the fuck am I supposed to perform like this!?" She gestured towards her broken nose.
"And you came all the way here just to yell your rant at me? Well… what are you going to perform?" Arreis crossed her arms. Surely, her dancing's gotta be better than whatever this sassy girl is going to perform.
"I'm gonna be acting a monologue. You don't need to know anything else." Antoinette proudly stated and sighed, examining her nails. "I actually had a hard time finding one that suits me but… oh well."
"A monologue?" Arreis made a small tsk tsk sound. "Looks like you don't have a good taste in music, considering your love for…" she coughs a bit. "Selena Gomez."
"Well, at least I don't have interest for… how should I say this…" the diva thought of some way to describe the other girl's tastes in music. "...more weirder songs." Antoinette scoffed, still not taking her eyes off from examining her nails.
"Billie Eilish isn't weird! You are!" Arreis snarked, obviously not liking the comment she received from her.
"Whatever. Ta-ta!" The diva waved teasingly and left.
Arreis (Major A): "Antoinette is getting on my nerves. Who cares about her monologue! She is so going DOWN!"
Antoinette (Major A): "Barely anyone here's gonna act, so might as well take an advantage. You guys thought that this season's about singing and dancing? Nope. And… how the hell am I supposed to breathe properly with this nose? I don't think the gauze is placed right."
MUSIMENTAL THEATER - LIBRARY
In this small library room, we can see Zack sitting, with a few papers in front of him. It looks like he was singing some lyrics of a song.
"In the eye of a hurricane
There is quiet
For just a moment
A yellow sky"
Zack sighed frustratingly to himself and placed the papers back to the table.
"You're doing Hamilton? That's a great play!" Sami chirped and sat across from him. "You'd make a great Alexander Hamilton… it really suits you!"
"What? H-how long you've been listening?" Zack gasped, not knowing someone who has lots of knowledge in musicals like Sami listening to him out of all people.
"Um, since when you started it. You'll do great! I love your voice… you sound a lot like… Yuri Lowenthal." Sami complimented.
"I get that a lot." Zack made a small smile and blushed a little by the compliment. "I've been in some local plays before I auditioned here. Maybe that's how I got accepted so quick."
"That's neat!" The red velvet haired girl giggled.
"So, what are you performing?" The tall actor asked. Surely someone like Sami could be up to something good.
"I honestly don't know. I'm wondering if I should sing Hey Jude by the Beatles or I Will Never Leave You." Sami sighed. "I'd love to sing the second one honestly, but I felt it won't be the same performing it all alone without my twin sister."
"Oh, you have a twin sister? Surely, she'll be cheering you on from home." Zack replied.
"Well… she died in a car accident. Last year. I was with her that time, and she was driving. Some drunk driver hit our car and my twin sister Ashley didn't survive from it, and I even got a spleen removal when we were rushed to the hospital so my medical conditions are kinda over the place…" Sami told him her story. She had a sad expression written on her face. Zack noticed this and grabbed her hand.
"I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to-"
"It's fine, Zack. The driver that caused it was sentenced to prison for it. It honestly still bothers me, but not so much as last year." Sami assured him.
"But still… I shouldn't have opened the topic." Zack sighed as he caressed her hand. "Do you need help deciding on what to perform?"
Sami's face lit up, her green eyes filled with joy. "I'm up for any suggestions!"
Zack (Major B): "I can't believe Sami went through something tragic like that and all I ever did was earn a little fame by acting. It must be so hard for her."
Sami (Major B): "I Will Never Leave You is such a special song to me. It was also the last song Ashley and I sang together before that happened. I'll never forget her."
MUSIMENTAL THEATER - BACKSTAGE
The camera secretly pans to the backstage, where Mag was sitting on one of the chests, waiting for someone anxiously.
Suddenly, the door opened revealing it to be the blonde boy with brown eyes known as Carter.
"Why did you call me here?" He asked.
Mag stood up and marched towards him. "You know my father?"
"Well, I have proof that it was your father. Of course, I have the right to know. Because I can't just let the fact that my mother slept with some stranger in her room be released out to the blue!" Carter retorted. "And the fact that my father never knew any of this since he was in the military is just… you disgust me."
"Too late. Hell, I don't even know my biological father's name!" Mag crossed her arms. "And mind you, how do you know that I act like my father or whoever the hell that person is? I don't know him, and you don't know me."
"So, what does Mag mean, then?" Carter asked, pressing the matter further.
Mag sighed and told him her real name. "Miranda A. Gray."
Carter brought out a small card from his pocket. "I got this person's ID before he left my mother's house. Take a look at it. Who does this look like to you?"
Mag looked at the picture of the card that was shown in front of her. It was a middle-aged man that appeared to be in his late thirties, with shaggy brown hair and had a grey left eye and a brown right eye.
"You got your looks from him. Hell, even your eyes match his!" Carter revealed, gesturing to Mag's own pair of eyes which indeed was a left grey eye and a right brown eye like this person's.
Mag gasped at this revelation. She looked at his name. It read: Mason Gray. It also said that his civil status was divorced, and that he had only one child, with a word enclosed in parenthesis: deceased.
"This… this is impossible." Mag shook her head rapidly. "It said that his child died. And that's not me, because it's obvious that I'm alive right now!"
"But what if that's what he thought?" Carter asked her. Mag however, had enough of this mess and burst out of the door, completely frustrated. Carter just sighed and sat on the wooden floor.
Carter (Major B): "I'm sure of this." He rubs his hands. "Of course, Mag wouldn't understand. She just can't digest this new information all at once."
Mag (Minor A): "Well played, Carter. Well played. But I'm not gonna believe that. That is clearly impossible. Hell, I'm not even dead."
MAJOR HOUSE - MAJOR B ROOM
Adala was currently searching in her phone for a cool dance choreography to perform.
"Hey, Sybil! What do you think of this one?" She asked cheerfully and showed the former child star the choreography she was watching.
"Yeah, go for it." Sybil shrugged, not really paying much attention. Instead, she just sat there with a… worried expression on her face. Adala noticed this and looked at the other girl.
"What's wrong? You're still bothered about Pierre?" She asked.
Sybil looked at her and bit her lip. "Um… yeah, definitely him. Hey, Adala… can you keep a secret? You and Sami are literally the only ones I could trust and talk to right now, and Sami is in the library."
"Sure I can. What is it?" The improviser girl asked as she straightened her dark brown hair.
"Remember what I said a while ago to everyone? About being in a television series called Dramatic High?" Sybil looked back at the bed they were sitting on, which was obviously Adala's.
"Um, kinda. Misha said she used to watch that and I think I kinda remembered you hiding from Pierre. Ahem, using me." Adala recalled, but was slightly confused. "So… what's the connection between him and your career?"
"Well you see… It was about a girl named Sabrina who fell in love with a boy named Aidan who was her high school crush. They got together and kissed and made out after prom, blah blah blah." Sybil explained in a… short way.
Adala still sat there, confused. "Yeah? I still don't get it."
"Well, here's the part where things get weird. You see, I was the one who played as Sabrina." Sybil sighed. "And the guy who played Aidan was actually... Pierre."
Adala's brain rang like a Chinese gong being hit as she dropped her phone and onto the bed. "What? No wonder why he was… after you!"
"Adala, listen. Pierre is actually my ex-boyfriend. Remember he said that he had five exes? I was his fourth one. We eventually hooked up after the show's production and dated for two years until he cheated on me with my co-star who played as Sabrina's best friend." Sybil revealed. "I figured he broke up with her before entering Act II, and decided that he actually wanted to go back to me but... "
"But what?"
"I pushed him away so hard, because he changed, and I changed... and probably acted that way towards me because of what happened. And a part of me actually wants to… go back to him. It's so weird." Sybil concluded, becoming sadder.
"The FUCK!? Girl, that's fucking insane!" Adala swore. She doesn't usually swear as much as Misha, but when something bad gets revealed especially when it's a friend, yeah that's when she swears.
"I don't know what to do…" Sybil sighed and a tear fell down her cheek as Adala gave her a hug.
Adala (Major B): "Dang, she's in a hard position right now. I don't really have any advice for her since I never had a boyfriend and my family and friends are definitely on good terms with me so…"
Sybil (Major B): "I don't know. He used to be this sweet and caring guy but now he's just… I don't know. And, remember when I said he stalked me since middle school? That… was a lie, just to make him look bad but..." she sighs in the end. "I think I know what I should sing later…"
MAJOR HOUSE - LIVING ROOM
Gabe was currently sitting on the couch, criss-crossing applesauce while listening to a song on his phone called "Pray for Me" by Kendrick Lamar. He decided to go on the rap route, since not many of the contestants can rap. He then tried to rap along with what he's hearing. Once his song finished, he looked at Pierre sitting on the armchair next to the couch, who had a neutral look on his face.
"Why aren't you practicing dude?" The easy goer asked. "The challenge starts in an hour."
"Don't worry. I already know what I'm gonna do." Pierre smiled. "I'm planning to act something out."
"It better be good." Gabe shrugged. "By the way, if you don't mind me asking of course, what's with you and Sybil? Because, you know, the way you act?" He sighed. "It's weird because according to the hosts, you have five exes. I hope you're not planning to have a sixth one in Sybil."
"Well… Sybil's a different story. Only she and I know." He answered calmly. "Unless she tells that to someone, of course."
"Oh, I see…" Gabe nodded.
"Well, I have a question for you though…" Pierre turned to him. "What's your relationship with Meredith back in Act I?"
"We're just really close friends, that's all." Gabe answered, somehow not liking the way Pierre is acting. Was he always this calm?
Gabe (Major B): "I'm not sure if I should be in good terms with Pierre or not. He just seems to act a bit pathetic whenever Sybil is around but without her, he's actually a pretty calm guy. I don't know anymore."
Pierre (Major B): "I don't want anyone in this game to know why I'm acting like that to Sybil. There's a huge reason behind that. As a former actor, I'm gonna go straight towards the point: me stalking her is a complete façade. And I have to admit, it was stupid."
MINOR HOUSE - MINOR A ROOM
"So, mind telling me what's wrong?" Rival asked Therion. Both of them were the only ones in the room so far, so it was a quiet place for them to discuss things about what happened.
"You're right. It's about Mara." Therion sighed. "We were talking about some stuff and this Ulysses guy came and lunged at me. I don't know what was his deal, but Mara mentioned something about him with her and being… a thing."
"Ulysses? You mean the new intern? Oof…" Rival winced a bit. "I don't like the sound of that. I mean, that happened to me before, you probably know that. So… what else happened?"
"Dustin came over to tell him to stop but Ulysses got away with it. I got so mad at Mara and ran away because of course, I never knew she had a relationship with someone I never knew! Plus, Wars didn't happen too long ago, so I don't know how she was- UGH!" Therion sighed, completely frustrated.
"Did she try to stop you?" The red haired boy asked.
"Well, yeah… she was crying." The black haired boy said shakily. It was obvious that he was already choking tears.
Rival saw his expression and gave him a hug as Therion began crying, which was actually something he'd rarely do. The guitarist already felt really bad for the gamer, so he rubbed his back.
Rival (Minor A): "Jeez, I already feel so bad for Therion. Now I'm gonna make sure that I won't do that to Erin… wait, you're watching this, right?" Rival then widened his eyes. "But wait a minute, there is a possibility that Mara won't completely betray him. Maybe one of them is just overreacting. I've got to see through this…"
"Maybe I should go talk to her…" Rival suggested.
"No… give her some time to think." Therion calmed down and scowled. "Maybe she just needs to know her mistakes."
"Well… yeah, but don't you get the feeling that maybe either of you could be… overreacting about it?" Rival wondered.
"Overreacting?" Therion widened his eyes and frowned towards Rival. "You think I'm overreacting?! I won't do that!"
"But still!" Rival stood up.
"But still what!?" Therion grew mad. "You're saying that it could be me who's wrong? Rival! I thought we were best friends!"
"Therion-"
"Wow. I'm losing my girlfriend and my best friend at the same time!? What a fucking great day!" Therion raged and closed the door, slamming it hard.
Rival sat there, thinking what the hell just happened and smacked his forehead hard.
Therion (Minor A): "Overreacting? Why would he think that?" He then paused for a minute, processing everything that had just happened. "...no." He sighed and left the confessional.
MINOR HOUSE - LIVING ROOM
Alec was currently in the living room sitting on a couch, holding a notebook with a bunch or writing in it.
"What you got in there?" Toxa asked and sat next to him.
"Just some songs I'm planning to sing." Alec shrugged.
Toxa decided to run in and start a good conversation, and she did. "Hey, you signed up for Act I two years ago." She recalled. "How come you didn't make it in?"
Alec paused for a moment and looked up to Toxa.
"Well… they said that I was too young…" Alec answered, shrugging. "I honestly didn't see the age limit. I was about ...13 when I applied… I think..."
"Oh, no wonder why the hosts mentioned that you're the youngest competitor." Toxa recalled.
"Yeah." Alec sighed, tapping his fingers on the couch. "So… what are you planning to perform for later? Knowing you, you're probably gonna do something insane."
"I don't think insane is the correct term for that." The indigo-haired girl chuckled. "I can't choose between Homewrecker by Marina or Truth or Dare by Emily Osment."
Alec made a soft chuckle. "Well, you go on ahead. I have never heard any of those songs before."
The two had silence for a bit before Alec piped up once more.
"Well, I've heard you've been into a lot of seasons before."
"Yeah. You could say that." Toxa smirked. "I've been on to Blackwing Academy with Therion. I've met Gordon and Vanessa back in Archipelago. I've also been with Clayton and two of the judges in Musical Impact back in School Challenge. So… I can probably consider myself as an adept at Total Drama." She chuckled.
"Lucky for you. All I ever did was study in ballet." Alec smiled. "I actually met Lyle in a men's ballet competition once, but I don't think he recognizes me."
"Probably he will soon." Toxa shrugged. "I'm gonna go practice now. Do your own thing."
"Will do." Alec gave a small salute.
Toxa (Minor A): "Why am I aligning with Alec, you may ask?" Toxa winks at the camera and rubs her hands vigorously. "I have the perfect idea…"
Alec (Minor A): "You know, now that I think about it, Toxa is actually a nice person. She was pretty cool about the whole item ordeal a while ago…" he brings out the item their team found earlier. "I don't know what to do about this, though…"
FRONT YARD
In the front yard, Oli and Robert were sitting down on the night grass, reminiscing about their previous season.
"Hey, Oli." Robert turned to the dark skinned boy. "Remember that time when you were trying to flirt with Amanda?"
Oli chuckled a bit in response. "Hell, yeah. She was great and all, but I'm not really into girls."
This made Robert snap back into reality. "You're gay?"
"Um…" Oli rubbed the back of his head. "Yeah. Wait- no, not really."
"Hm? What do you mean not really?" The brown haired boy asked, utterly confused around this point.
"Well… I never told anyone but… I'm a trans male. I was afraid that people might laugh at me because I got bullied a lot back when I was… not trans… so yup. Now you know my story." Oli sighed a bit.
Robert however, didn't laugh like what Oli thought he would. Instead, he just patted his shoulder. "I feel you, bro. I mean, I get bullied a lot for being an idiot at school, so I can probably relate to you about being bullied. Considering the fact that May used to be part of my class when I was in fourth grade. And I'm talking about Kimberly May Quetzal. Not May Gale."
"Ah, no wonder why you tried to return the favor." Oli told him but Robert raised a brow on this. "You know, calling her Princess and all. Something Duncan would do to Courtney."
"Yeah, she doesn't want to reveal her being in royalty, but I honestly think that's normal." Robert nodded.
Oli (Minor B): "I missed our little chitchats with the boys of Act I. I honestly wonder how they are doing now…"
Robert (Minor A): "Oli's secret is safe with me. And I hope you guys keep it safe too." Robert chucked. "I'm talking about you viewers."
MUSIMENTAL GARDEN
The camera currently pans to Misha and Kimmie who just entered the garden which was located a few blocks away from the theater. The entrance was a floral archway and the garden itself looked peaceful. There was a fountain in the middle which was surrounded by a stone pathway. There were also different kinds of plants everywhere and just past that fountain was a gazebo.
"I honestly don't remember the fountain being here but I do remember the gazebo." Kimmie pointed out.
"What makes you say that?" Misha asked.
"Well, the Beat Breakers alliance used to meet back there in the gazebo. I remember my team and I sharing doughnuts." Kimmie recalled and giggled a little, sighing after. "I honestly missed those times…"
"I actually wasn't expecting a garden here… wonder how much money did Chris paid for the expenses of these renovations… must be fucking rich." Misha laughed.
"Well, considering he hosted a lot of Total Drama seasons, it's actually not possible that he won't get paid." Kimmie nudged her elbow.
"Yeah, hey do you still have a crush on Robert?" The pink haired girl asked.
"Wha- what!? Where'd you get that info from!?" Kimmie panicked. Misha narrowed her eyebrows in response.
"I watched Act I." She answered bluntly.
"Ohhhh, yeah. Right…" Kimmie laughed nervously. "I thought only Meredith knew that… I guess secrets aren't safe in here after all."
"You got that right." Misha sighed. "So I'm here not planning to spill any kind of beans lest I get eliminated."
"Whatever you say so." Kimmie shrugged.
The two had awkward silence as they sat by the fountain.
"So what are you planning to do to get Robert to like you back?"
"I wrote him a letter last season." Kimmie sighed. "He read it, but I think he didn't care."
"Bitch, you gotta do way more than that." Misha chuckled and suddenly got an idea. "What are you going to perform later?"
"I don't know." Kimmie sighed sadly.
"Then I have just the idea." Misha smiled and looked left and right to make sure no one was there. Then she whispered something to Kimmie that the camera couldn't pick up.
Misha (Minor A): "Heh, not really a great idea, but with that, I'm pretty sure Robert would fall head over heels for her! I actually got that idea thanks to that show Sybil acted in…" she looked at the camera. "Fine. You got me this time, bitches. I did watch the whole thing with my big sister Martha. But is it just me or the guy that played Aidan looked awfully familiar to one of the new faces here…"
Kimmie (Minor A): "Misha's a great friend. I actually don't mind it if she swears a lot, probably how Mag and Toxa became friends with her as well. I also hope that the plan she gave would work…" She sighs dreamily in the end, hell, she's a dreamer for McLean's sake.
MINOR HOUSE - MINOR B ROOM
The camera pans to ELV, who was currently looking at his stuff. As the camera zoomed out a bit, we can see Arabelle, Lyle, and Mairead with their heads popping out from the door as spy background music starts playing.
"There he is." Lyle whispered.
Arabelle however, rolled her hazel eyes at the shitscene they were currently in. "Why did you drag me into this kind of shit?" She asked angrily in a whisper voice.
"Shhh!" Mairead shushed the older girl.
ELV heard their noises and looked towards the door but the trio hid their heads right on time. The emotionless boy just sighed and rummaged through his black bag as the trio popped their heads in the door once more.
"What's he looking for?" Arabelle asked and chuckled. "His underwear?"
"Quiet!" Mairead scolded the older girl once more and rolled her eyes.
"I think he's looking for the notebook." Lyle told them. "But… I think I left it somewhere in the theater… I just can't think of where..."
"Wait, what do you mean you left it in the theater?" Mairead widened her eyes.
Lyle gasped. "It must've fell out of my pocket in the auditorium during that sudden death round with Mag!" He smacked his forehead lightly so that ELV couldn't hear him.
"Wait, how big exactly is that notebook anyway and how the hell did it fit in your pocket?" Arabelle asked the fourth question she has ever asked in this entire scene. Actually no, that question was separated into two questions so technically she asked about five questions in this whole scene.
"Ugh… where is it!?" ELV asked angrily as he began to look under his bed covers, his bags, hell, even in Mairead's bunk which was just right above his.
The socialite however, didn't seem to be too pleased at this.
"Hey, that's my bunk! My stuff is in there!" Mairead shouted so loud and ran into the room, opening the door fully and revealing Lyle and Arabelle, who stood there completely dumbfounded with their mouths wide open. ELV saw the three and had an angry expression on his face.
"Were you three spying on me?!" He asked angrily as the spy background music stopped abruptly.
Arabelle snapped out of her daze. "Yuuuup. And that is our cue outta here. C'mon, Angelino Ballerino." She quickly said and grabbed Lyle's ear, dragging the rather, dysfunctional duo out of the room, leaving Mairead and ELV arguing.
"Hey! That is certainly not my name and that is my ear you're dragging, Ara- Ow!" Lyle shouted in pain and Arabelle let go of it. They both ran out of the room.
Lyle (Minor B): "I don't know where did I left that notebook but the only places I've been to so far after our introductions are this house and the auditorium. So I think I left it in the auditorium but… oh no."
Arabelle (Minor B): "Seriously, why did Lyle and Mairead even drag me into this? Why not Janice or Oli or Gordon or hell, even Vanessa? After all, it was probably Oli who started this whole crap." She facepalmed. "This is honestly even worse than my family back home."
Mairead (Minor B): Her hair was all over the place and looked pretty much as messy as Colin. "Rule number one: never mess with someone like ELV." She sighed and slumped on the chair.
MUSIMENTAL THEATER - STORAGE ROOM
Both Vanessa and Gordon were seen entering a rather medium sized room with lots of boxes.
"Whoa, I never knew this theater had a storage room." Gordon told her.
"It does. Now…" Vanessa sat on one of the boxes. "Tell me everything."
"Tell you what? There's nothing that needs to be said right now." Gordon spat and was about to leave but Vanessa grabbed his arm.
"Tell me why did you attempted suicide before. I'm sorry if it sounds like I'm intruding your mind but, aren't I your friend?" Vanessa asked him with sincerity in her eyes. "Maybe I can help… you always talked to me whenever you had a problem."
Gordon saw this and paused for a moment. Should he tell her? Or should he keep it a secret from her? After all, Vanessa hates secrets being kept away from her, especially if it's coming from a friend dear to her…
"Well, I was planning to tell you that anyway… You… probably know that I'm an orphan, right?" Gordon told her. "My parents put me up for adoption because they can't raise me properly. Well, I don't know who they are, that is. My last name comes from my biological father and I carried it just because I saw my birth certificate. That is, my parents' information was blurred out by the staff in the orphanage, so I couldn't see their names or their addresses."
"Well… how it went for you?" The pianist asked.
"I've been doing nothing by finding out who they were. I searched through cabinets, drawers, everything. Even in places that were out of reach. I just want to find out who they were." He explained. "Those orphans found out about it and they made fun of me by saying I'm too bland and boring, that I just wanted the staff's attention, and also said my parents don't love me which is why I was placed there. They even said that I'm never getting adopted.
So, I ended up punching that kid. The director saw that and yeah, as punishment, he locked me up in the basement for a few hours. Pretty sure no one's allowed to punish kids like that now. I stayed in that orphanage for a few more years and I finally thought that the others were right that I'm never getting adopted, but at least they did. Then, I went back to the basement, got a stool and a rope ready, said what I thought were my last words, and… I stopped and just ran away from the orphanage without anyone knowing. From that day, I hid my secrets, my past, my emotions-"
Vanessa had enough of hearing this and gave Gordon a hug, while he started sobbing like a little kid. He actually never cried in front of anyone else, but he just felt the need to let it out for once.
As they broke the hug, Vanessa had a sad look written on her face as Gordon wiped his eyes.
"I'm sorry you saw this guy's crying face."
Vanessa (Minor B): "I can't believe… that… he... " the pianist gives up and sighs as she leaves the confessional.
Gordon (Minor B): "I've never cried in front of anyone before… those kids will call me weak. At least I still have Vanessa here."
MUSIMENTAL THEATER - DANCE PRACTICE ROOM
"What are you doing? He's hurt!" A voice yelled, he seemed to be carrying a man onto a stretcher.
"But… he's my dad! I don't want anything bad to happen to him!" A girl shouted back, trying to choke back tears as her brother went in front of her.
"Janice, this is all your fault! If you helped dad go down those stairs, he wouldn't fall off! But instead, you just let him be!"
"Shut up, Janson!" the girl sobbed. "His legs were weak! What could I do to that?"
The boy sighs and the two go to the hospital.
Hours later, we can now see the man in a hospital bed, fully asleep.
"I'm sorry to say but… he's in a coma." A nurse told the siblings. "He has a 50-50 percent chance of waking up, and since it caused a bit of internal bleeding, I doubt that it would be hemorrhage, but there's a slim chance of him waking up."
"Thank you for the information, nurse." The boy said and the nurse left. "Stay here, Janice. I'm gonna call mom."
The girl didn't say anything as the boy left. She grabbed her father's hand and whispered.
"Dad… please wake up."
And wake up she did.
Janice woke up in the practice room. Her phone was on the floor, completely dead out of battery. She looked in the mirror and saw herself curled up like a ball with a tear stained face. Seeing the clock which was already fifteen minutes to nine, she grabbed her phone and ran out of the room, only to bump into a skinny girl with brown hair, sky blue eyes, wearing a blue hoodie.
"I'm sorry! I was just in a hurry-"
The girl sighed. "Try to be a bit more careful next time?" She told her.
"O-okay."
Janice (Minor B): "So, the reason I went in this show is because I wanted to do this for my dad who's in a coma… we don't have enough money for his operations…" her thoughts fade away and she has a straight face. "But… that girl was kinda… weird."
Night 1, 9:00PM
Everything was peaceful in the auditorium. The audience were chatting with their seatmates, playing their gadgets and whatnot with everyone else in there doing their own kind of shit… until Don came in, that is. And he was there running like… the fucking Naruto.
"They're here! They're here!" He shouted.
"Who's here!?" Brea shouted as she fell out of her seat. It was obvious that she was asleep during this whole ordeal, only to be woken up. "Hey! I did not call the cops today so whoever called them is going to face my fury!"
"Furry what?" Chris asked stupidly, definitely not referencing a certain quote from Ice Age, that'd be dumb.
"I asked Blaineley to go get the campers- I mean, the contestants and they're not here yet!" Chef told them.
"So… who's they?" Brea eyed Don once more, narrowing her eyes giving her an almost intimidating look.
"The mentors." Don gulped. "You know, the-"
"Oh, alright."
Suddenly, Blaineley came in, panting as if Usain Bolt ran around the whole damn world in under an hour without taking a bathroom break, followed by the other contestants.
Everyone took a seat in the front row. The judges and mentors were also settling in. The five hosts then came up the stage with their microphones in hand.
"Good evening, folks!" Chris says to his microphone. "Here we are with the challenge part of Episode 3!"
"But before we get to the challenge part, we'd like to welcome back our judges!" Blaineley announced tiredly as the five judges stood up from their seats and waved to the audience, earning them a round of applause.
"Now, we'd like to introduce to you our new mentors for this season!" Don grinned. "First up is a former contestant from-"
"Laaaaaaaaaaaa~" a high pitched voice rang in a sing-song voice. At this rate, this person's voice is really familiar to them so…
"Oh fuck." Arabelle muttered. "Who brought her back?"
A girl with short black hair wearing a pretty pink dress stepped into the stage with a few birds following her.
"Umm, introducing our former Pahkitew Island contestant, Ella!" Don introduced as the audience applauded.
"Hello~ Everyone calls me Ella, I've known all songs since World Tour and-"
Don elbowed her.
"-and… I'm the new vocal mentor!" The girl quickly said and bowed and was then directed back to her seat with the audience clapping for her.
"Next, is our former competitor from the previous season!" Chef carried on as soon as Ella went back to her seat. "Please welcome, Cedric Merritt!"
A teen with short green hair wearing a white dress shirt and black pants entered.
"Well… nice to see this place again! You guys may know me from Act I, as Spear and I'm going to be your act mentor!" Sper introduced himself and was led to his seat afterwards with the audience clapping once again.
"And last…" Chef rubs his hands. "...is a new face coming from Battle Creek, Michigan! Please welcome, Hali Creugin!"
Hali was now seen on the stage. However, Janice gasped from the audience. Brown hair? Sky blue eyes? Blue hoodie?
"Holy crap, I accidentally bumped into her a while ago." She gasped. "I think I made a terrible first impression…"
"Well, that's your problem, lackey." Arabelle sighed frustratingly. Yet, another team member to deal with… yeesh.
"I'm Hali, your new rap and dance mentor." She bowed with respect. "If there are any questions you'd like to know about rapping and dancing, etcetera, feel free to approach me but," she held a short dramatic pause. "Don't talk to me about anything else unless you want trouble."
The contestants were a bit unsure of how to react but nonetheless, the audience applauded her so the contestants followed suit.
After Hali was led back to her seat, Brea was now given the time to speak to her microphone. "Contestants, your main challenge for the evening," she got out a sheet of paper because hell she doesn't memorize the script. Ahem, she fell asleep. "is to perform one by one, showcasing your best musical talent. So literally, all you have to do is just give it your all!"
The contestants gave mixed looks. Some were nervous, others were excited. But despite that, things need to go down to business.
"There are four bowls on the judges table." Brea announced as the camera pans to judges' table, and indeed there were four glass bowls, each with a label of each team. "Four judges will draw out a code from the bowl in front of them. The code is the code you've been given after the audition, which is why you were asked to remember it. The fifth judge will draw out again from the four codes picked by the other judges. If your code gets picked, you will be asked to perform a song or a monologue you've prepared in the past hour."
Blaineley decided to take over. "Each judge will rate you from 0 to 3, depending on how they like it. They are also obliged to give criticism and tips so that you guys can improve. Add all the points given to you, and that will be your individual score."
Don then began speaking as well. "Once everyone has finished performing, you will be asked to total your individual scores with your teammates. This will be your team score."
Chef then decides to say the last part. "The Minor team with the lowest team score will vote someone to be eliminated from the game. However, the Major team with the lowest team score will vote a member to switch teams with another member of the Minor team with a higher score. Any questions?"
No one raised their hand.
Chris decides to initiate the challenge. "With that, the challenge has officially begun! Judges, please draw out a code from the glass bowls."
CHALLENGE 1.2: Show Me What You've Got (Location: Auditorium)
ROUND 1
The camera pans to Holly Rosewood, who was assigned to draw out a code from Major A. She picked a piece of paper from the glass bowl and unfolded it.
In Major A, we can see Beatrice having a nervous look on her face. May crossed her fingers. Arreis placed her hand towards her chest feeling her heart beat rapidly. Ryder bit his lower lip. Antoinette squeezed her eyes shut. Nash began biting his fingernails only to get his hands swatted away by May. And Colin looked at the ground, hoping that he wouldn't go first in his team.
"A2." Holly read the piece of paper.
Antoinette began screaming internally, her heart beating a hundred miles per hour as her team snickered. She is the alto member in the team after all, besides Arreis, whose code was A5.
"Shiiiiiiiiit!"
"That's what you call karma." Arreis snickered.
The camera then pans over to Enrique Lopez, who was assigned for Major B. He mixed up the strips of papers in the bowl a bit like a salad before picking one out.
Major B also had mixed expressions. Adala began praying endlessly. Sybil buried her face with her hands. Sami curled up like a ball. Carter stared at the judges intently. Zack felt like passing out for some reason. Pierre began pinching himself, hoping that it's all a dream. And Gabe had a grin on his face. Like seriously, what is going on with this dude?
"...B5." Enrique spoke.
"Yes!" Gabe cheered like a little hoe as Carter sighed in relief.
"Thank God it wasn't B3…" he whispered.
The camera zooms now to Evan Zito, and in front of him is the bowl for Minor A. He casually just picks one piece of paper up and unfolds it.
On Minor A, we can see Toxa smiling confidently. Mag looked like she was still having second thoughts for her performance. Misha began swearing under her breath. Kimmie was fiddling her fingers. Therion stared at the judges, then at Rival, then back on the judges again. Rival then proceeds to think of good thoughts away from this suspenseful situation. Robert also looked pretty confident, and Alec looks as if he was about to cry for some reason we don't know of.
"...S3." Evan reads.
"Let's do this, Toxa." Toxa rubbed her hands, giving herself a confidence boost as Alec placed a hand on her shoulder.
"Good luck."
For the bowl for Minor B, we can now see Leticia picking out a piece of paper, unfolding it quickly.
At Minor B, we can see Vanessa sighing and holding on to Gordon's hand. Janice placed her hands over her mouth. Lyle had an awkward expression on his face. Arabelle looked at the audience. Oli was… laughing like a complete idiot. ELV was emotionless as usual. And Mairead was sulking in her seat.
"...MT1." Leticia stated.
Gordon felt his hand shaking under Vanessa's hand as the pianist whispered to him.
"You can do this."
The sarcastic boy sighed and let go of her hand. "I guess I don't have much of a choice now, right?"
The four judges then gave their chosen pieces of papers and handed them to Lee, who was sitting on the edge of the judges' table. He then jumbled them up in his hands and picked one paper, reading it.
"Our first performer is… B5. Please come up to the stage." Lee announced.
Everyone cheered, whistled, and applauded as Gabe made his way to the stage. Sure, he was a fan favorite from the previous season, so what's not to like about him?
"Hello, everyone!" Gabe bowed. "I'm Gabe Johnson, and I know you guys know me from Act I! I'll be performing Pray for Me. Please enjoy it!"
A short applause occured as some people got their phones out to record a video.
Performance #1 (Gabe [B5]; Major B)
Song: Pray for Me (Kendrick Lamar & The Weeknd)
Music started playing in the background as Gabe cleared his throat, preparing to sing.
"I'm always ready for a war again
Go down that road again
It's all the same
I'm always ready to take a life again
You know I'll ride again
It's all the same"
Gabe adjusted his microphone a bit as he continued on to the pre-chorus.
"Tell me who's gon' save me from myself
When this life is all I know
Tell me who's gon' save me from this hell
Without you, I'm all alone"
He then proceeds to the chorus.
"Who gon' pray for me?
Take my pain for me?
Save my soul for me?
'Cause I'm alone, you see
If I'm gon' die for you
If I'm gon' kill for you
Then I'll spill this blood for you, hey"
As the rap verse came on to play, his team began cheering for him.
"I fight the world, I fight you, I fight myself
I fight God, just tell me how many burdens left
I fight pain and hurricanes, today I wept
I'm tryna fight back tears, flood on my doorsteps
Life a livin' hell, puddles of blood in the streets
Shooters on top of the building, government aid ain't relief
Earthquake, the body drop, the ground breaks
The poor run with smoke lungs and scarface"
Gabe continued to rap as the music continued.
"Who needs a hero? (Hero)
You need a hero, look in the mirror, there go your hero
Who on the front lines at ground zero? (Hero)
My heart don't skip a beat, even when hard times bumps the needle
Mass destruction and mass corruption
The souls are sufferin' men
Clutchin' on deaf ears again, rapture is comin'
It's all prophecy and if I gotta be sacrificed for the greater good
Then that's what it gotta be"
He then quickly proceeds to the chorus as the crowd starts cheering him on.
"Who gon' pray for me?
Take my pain for me?
Save my soul for me?
'Cause I'm alone, you see
If I'm gon' die for you
If I'm gon' kill for you
Then I'll spill this blood for you, hey
Hey, hey
Hey, hey
Hey, hey
Hey, hey"
As the music calms down a bit, Gabe starts to sing the bridge.
"Who gon' pray for me?
Take my pain for me?
Save my soul for me?
'Cause I'm alone, you see
If I'm gon' die for you
If I'm gon' kill for you
Then I'll spill this blood for you, hey"
His voice then finally changes to a lower register as the song nearly ends.
"Just in case my faith go
I live by my own law
I live by my own law
I live by my own
Just in case my faith go
I live by my own law
I live by my own law
I live by my own"
As the song ends, people once again clapped and cheered as the easy goer bowed. Once everyone settled down, the judges prepared to make comments.
The camera pans to Lee, as he was just done taking down notes in his notebook.
"Your performance is good." He began. "However, you do lack a bit of emotion. You managed to show expression when you were rapping, but for the singing parts, you could use a bit more work. But other than that, you did good! My score for you would be a… 2." He concludes as the camera then pans to Leticia.
The dark skinned woman chuckled a bit. "I'm honestly not a fan of songs with rap, but I like what you did. Your singing is pretty high for a bass, though." Leticia nods a bit. "I will agree with what Lee said earlier, you've been lacking expressions. So my score for you is… a 2."
Gabe gave the two judges a small smile before the camera panned to Evan, who had a bit of a frown on his face.
"Not much of a fan of the song." He began, causing eerie silence among the whole auditorium. "Not much to say but, you didn't do good, however you didn't do bad either. My score for you is… a 1."
Enrique was next. He sat up straight before clearing his throat. "I, on the other hand, am a big fan of songs with rap. I think you did pretty good. A bit of expressions here and there would be great like the others mentioned earlier, but I will be giving you a… 3."
Gabe widely smiled and thanked the Mexican judge.
Everyone turned quiet as the camera pans at Holly. Oh boy…
"I'm sorry. But… I was not interested… or should I say, satisfied with your performance. I know you gave your best and all but I think that that wasn't your best. Once again I apologize, but my score for you is… a zero."
Major B gasped from the audience as Gabe sucked his teeth a bit. He actually couldn't believe that he would get a zero.
"Thank you judges." Blaineley announced as she went to the center of the stage. "Gabe, your individual score is… 8 out of 15. Please take your seat and the judges will announce our next performer."
Gabe went to his team as they all clapped for him.
"Well… 8 isn't so bad." Zack commented as Gabe took a seat next to him.
"I'd never known Holly would give me a zero, but oh well." He shrugged.
The camera pans to Lee, who unfolded another piece of paper. "Our second performer for tonight is… A2. Please come up now to the stage."
Antoinette bit her lip as she went up to the stage. Major A didn't cheer for her, although they hoped that she would get a high score to secure their points from the other Major team. Was she even prepared?
"Hello! I'm Antoinette Mirasol and I will be presenting a monologue from Venomous Impulse. I will be playing as Reloya. I hope you will enjoy it!" The diva bowed and the stage lights darken a bit as a single light was focused on her.
Performance #2 (Antoinette [A2]; Major A)
Monologue: A monologue from Venomous Impulse (as Reloya)
Antoinette grabbed her microphone and took a deep breath as all noise died down.
"There are days that go by when I feel happy to be alive, the world seems perfect and everyone I know I can't imagine not caring about."
Her usual cocky face drastically changed to a more sadder one.
"Then there are other days, dark days, that I try to run away from, days that try to suffocate me…when I'm in that place, I hate everyone, the slightest thing will set me off…I get depressed, motionless and nothing strong enough could ever bring me out from it…"
As she was reciting her monologue, she walked a bit to the side as the light followed her.
"It's like someone entrapped me in a net and although I can see and hear everything, it's the way I see and hear everything that shifts into an ugly experience because I feel trapped inside myself…"
She suddenly dropped down to her knees and looked completely down to the ground.
"I mean, how can I break out from myself? I'm stuck inside this skin. If I could exit this body, this mind, I would but I can't, I'm held captive, forever."
As she ended her monologue, she looked up to the audience as they all clapped for her. Her team also applauded as well. Did she do a good job?
The brunette took a bow and once everyone stopped applauding, the lights turned to the judges, particularly on Lee.
"Hmm, I feel as though you have the right amount of expression…" He tapped his fingers on the table. "Just… maybe it needs a bit more movement? Because you only did one movement and that was the ending part… but either way, I'll be giving you a… 2."
Antoinette smirked at her team, knowing that if their performances have high scores, they would take the cake.
The camera zooms to Leticia who nods a bit at her notes and finally looks up. "I was wrong about your first impression on me, honey. You made me change my opinion of you when you performed this monologue… it looks as if it reflects you in some way… for me, I am going to give you a 3 because you did a pretty good job."
The camera pans onto Evan, who shooks his head bit. Seeing this, Antoinette's smirk quickly fades.
"On my defense, I think you need to improve. You're pretty good, just… not the best one I've seen. That is all. My score for you is 1." Evan concluded.
Enrique looked at Evan, then at his notes. "Honestly, I will agree. Do you take drama classes?" He asked the brunette diva.
"Well, I used to. Then I dropped out because my parents couldn't afford the fee. Our business went bankrupt." Antoinette shrugged, earning a few gasps from Major B.
Nash (Major A): "Maybe… that's the reason why she was acting so… snarky? Of course people tend to hide their real problems for darn toothin'. Heck, even me!"
Enrique nods. "I'm sorry to hear that. But for today, I also am giving you a score of 1."
The drastic changes in her scores gave Antoinette an uneasy face as the lights turned to Holly. Not another zero for goodness' sake…
"Well well well…" Holly shut her eyes and placed a hand on her forehead. She seemed to be… frustrated? "Once this season is over, you need to get your parents to pay your fee back to that drama class because I do not want to see a messed up scene like that. That's a big zero for you."
Antoinette gasped. Is she supposed to take that as a constructive piece of criticism or is this an insult?
Beatrice (Major A): "I know I don't like her, but I actually feel bad for Antoinette. She has a financial problem and Ms. Rosewood practically insulted that… Now I feel like I don't want to perform."
"Ooh," Chris snickered. "And with that, your total score is...7 points out of 15. One short from Gabe. Oof."
The diva sighed heavily as she went back to her seat. Arreis went over to pat her back but was met with a death glare from her.
"Don't talk to me." Antoinette hissed.
"Okay. Sheesh." Arreis rolled her eyes and sat back at her seat.
"Two have performed, and two more left for this round!" Brea announced but was replaced with a frown. "But technically, there's still 28 more to go… so who's our next performer?"
"Well… to answer your question, Brea, our third performer is…" Lee grabbed another piece of paper. "...S3."
Toxa smirked and quickly got up as if it were on cue. She went to the stage with a smile on her face.
"Hello to y'all! I'm Toxa Pexine, performing Truth or Dare by Emily Osment." Toxa proudly stated as an upbeat tune began playing.
Performance #3 (Toxa [S3]; Minor A)
Song: Truth or Dare (Emily Osment)
"I got a secret, I'm telling everyone
Don't wanna keep it, I wanna play dumb
I made a promise I think I'm ready to break"
Toxa started off the song, keeping her energetic charisma.
"It's just a question, there's nothing wrong or right
But your intentions could keep you up all night
You play with fire, you need a way to escape"
The indigo haired girl tapped her foot to the beat as she now sings the pre-chorus.
"And when the lights go out, go out
We're just beginning
And all around, our eyes are looking down
We spin the bottle round and round
And round and round"
The crowd began cheering as she performed the chorus.
"(Truth)
Last kiss on the tip of your lips
Were they his?
(Talk, talk)
But was your heartbeat beating?
(Dare)
Time's up, are you ready or not?
(T-T-talk)
So don't stop when you get that feeling Now, now
(T-T-talk)
Cause your heartbeat beating
Now, now
It's just a game"
The cheers died down a bit as Toxa continued on with the next verse.
"I feel uneasy, I feel a little scared
I see the danger I'm being unprepared
I try to hide it before I make a mistake"
As the second pre-chorus plays, she grabs the mic off of its stand and walks to the side of the stage as she sings.
"So when the truth is out, is out
We're just beginning
And not a sound, our eyes are staring down
We spin the bottle round and round
And round and round"
This time, some audience members start to sing along with her.
"(Truth)
Last kiss on the tip of your lips
Were they his?
(Talk, talk)
But was your heartbeat beating?
(Dare)
Time's up, are you ready or not?
(T-T-talk)
So don't stop when you get that feeling Now, now
(Talk, talk)
Cause your heartbeat beating
Now, now
It's just a game"
As the bridge rolls on, Toxa begins to try her best to hit it perfectly.
"I'm ready, so ready
So take me on
(So take me on)
Keep steady, don't drag this on
And on and on and on"
The song dives down to the last chorus as the crowd cheers once again.
"(Truth)
Last kiss on the tip of your lips
Were they his?
(Talk, talk)
But was your heartbeat beating?
(Dare)
Time's up, are you ready or not?
(T-T-talk)
So don't stop when you get that feeling
(Truth)
Last kiss on the tip of your lips
Were they his?
(Talk, talk)
But was your heartbeat beating?
(Dare)
Time's up, are you ready or not?
(T-T-talk)
So don't stop when you get that feeling Now, now
(Talk, talk)
Cause your heartbeat beating
Now, now
It's just a game"
Toxa bowed, keeping the smile on her face as everyone applauded for her. The camera then goes to the judges.
"You did great!" Lee commented. "And since you managed to get the audience hyped as well, I'm going to say that you did a great job with audience impact so… my score for you is a 3."
Leticia quickly gave in her comment. "You were splendid as well, dear. I as a happy person love more upbeat songs that brighten up the mood, and your expressions weren't bad either! I'm also going to give you a 3."
Toxa squealed as she heard these scores, knowing that she got the attention of the judges.
Evan was next. "Well, I on the other hand, am not really fond of these kinds of music. Can't say I liked it, but I'll just give you a 1."
Toxa (Minor A): "Shit. This guy knows nothing but to give a score of 1 to every single performance. Unlike Holly who gives a zero… Yeesh."
Enrique nods towards her. "You did good, but you were lacking something… that even I can't point it out. I don't know, so I think I'll just give you a 2 to be safe."
As Enrique finished his comment, all noise died down as the camera panned to Holly.
"Well… I don't like it." The old judge announced and yet a loud groan came from Toxa. "But since I don't have much to say, I'll give you a 1 since I think you did better than the last two."
"Which means, Toxa has… 10 points out of 15! Jeez, Minor A. I don't know if you guys were placed in the wrong team or-" Brea was met with a glare from Holly. "Okay! Fine! Who's next? Because at this rate, this document already reached 13k words and I'm not gonna be making another chapter as long as this one! Technically, it's already at 18k since I wrote the eliminations and the author notes first-"
"Brea, for the sake of all things great and small, stop breaking the third wall, dammit." Blaineley swore under her breath.
"Anyway, MT1 is our next performer," Lee cleared his throat, instantly ending the two's bickering as Gordon went up the stage, looking around nervously.
"Um… hi. I'm Gordon Parag, and I'll be dancing to Attention by Charlie Puth. Hope you guys will enjoy it." He stated as he went into position.
Performance #4 (Gordon [MT1]; Minor B)
Dance Number: Attention (Charlie Puth)
The spotlights dimmed down a bit as only one light focused on Gordon.
"Oh-oh, ooh
You've been runnin' round, runnin' round, runnin' round throwin' that dirt all on my name
'Cause you knew that I, knew that I, knew that I'd call you up
You've been going round, going round, going round every party in L.A.
'Cause you knew that I, knew that I, knew that I'd be at one, oh"
The sarcastic boy managed to dance smoothly, much to the surprise of his whole team. Especially Vanessa.
"I know that dress is karma, perfume regret
You got me thinking 'bout when you were mine, oh
And now I'm all up on ya, what you expect?
But you're not coming home with me tonight"
The beat goes down as Gordon goes to the chorus.
"You just want attention, you don't want my heart
Maybe you just hate the thought of me with someone new
Yeah, you just want attention, I knew from the start
You're just making sure I'm never gettin' over you"
The audience starts clapping for a few seconds as the second verse plays.
"You've been runnin' round, runnin' round, runnin' round throwing that dirt all on my name
'Cause you knew that I, knew that I, knew that I'd call you up
Baby, now that we're, now that we're, now that we're right here standing face-to-face
You already know, already know, already know that you won, oh"
He continued as he performed the choreo for the pre-chorus.
"I know that dress is karma (dress is karma), perfume regret
You got me thinking 'bout when you were mine (you got me thinking 'bout when you were mine)
And now I'm all up on ya (all up on ya), what you expect? (oh baby)
But you're not coming home with me tonight (oh no)"
The chorus then replays as the sarcastic boy keeps on dancing smoothly.
"You just want attention, you don't want my heart
Maybe you just hate the thought of me with someone new
Yeah, you just want attention, I knew from the start
You're just making sure I'm never gettin' over you, oh
What are you doin' to me, what are you doin', huh? (What are you doin'?)
What are you doin' to me, what are you doin', huh? (What are you doin'?)
What are you doin' to me, what are you doin', huh? (What are you doin'?)
What are you doin' to me, what are you doin', huh?"
As the music died down a bit, he continued to dance but more slowly.
"I know that dress is karma, perfume regret
You got me thinking 'bout when you were mine
And now I'm all up on ya, what you expect?
But you're not coming home with me tonight"
"You just want attention, you don't want my heart
Maybe you just hate the thought of me with someone new
Yeah, you just want attention, I knew from the start
You're just making sure I'm never gettin' over you (over you)
What are you doin' to me? (hey) what are you doin', huh? (what are you doin', what?)
What are you doin', to me? What are you doin', huh?
What are you doin', to me? What are you doin', huh?
What are you doin' to me, what are you doin', huh?"
The music stopped and Gordon took a bow, panting a bit from the energy that was taken away from him during the choreo as the judges began to take notes with the audience applauding behind him.
"Well…" Lee jutted his chin for a few seconds. "There's honestly not much to say here, but I do love how you dance though. Your technique. So I'm going to give you a… 2."
"I'm not here to copy your score, Lee." Leticia chuckled for a bit. "In my opinion, I prefer more artistic choreo, but you did a pretty good job. Just, not my cup of tea, honey. My score for you is a 1."
Gordon sucked on his teeth. He wasn't really pleased with the scores given to him. Even Minor B had dejected looks as well.
Arabelle sighed with the looks of her team. "We're never gonna beat Minor A."
Evan on the other hand, actually seemed pleased. "You know Gordon, my son used to be a dancer when he was your age… that was the exact same song he auditioned with. Now, I'm not giving you this score due to that. In fact, I never bias someone, but with that and how you danced, I will give you a 3."
Enrique had a completely neutral expression. "Hm, not sure what to say here… but, I'm honestly not as satisfied as Evan here so I'll just give you a 1."
Once again, the crowd goes silent as Holly makes her statement.
Tough crowd.
The aged woman cleared her throat. "You know," she sighed in frustration. "You're actually dancing like some random K-Pop trainee. I'm gonna be real honest here. That performance was so boring."
Gordon bit his lip so hard that it actually drew blood. There goes that six-letter word again that had been hitting him since he was a kid. Boring.
"I'm going to give you a zero."
Chris wheezed a bit as he went on the stage. "That's the third zero this evening! So… that's 7 out of 15 points for you, Gordon." He announced as the sarcastic boy went back to his seat, earning a pat in the back from Vanessa.
ROUND 1 PERFORMERS: Gabe (MJB), Antoinette (MJA), Toxa (MNA), Gordon (MNB)
Major A - 7 points
Major B - 8 points
Minor A - 10 points
Minor B - 7 points
ROUND 2
"Wow, is it just me or that last round took forever-" Brea sighed but was eventually smacked in the back of her head by Blaineley.
"What she meant to say was that it's now round 2! Let's see what the judges picked!"
The camera zooms on to Holly Rosewood for picking the Major A performer. The said team didn't look so nervous as last time, but still, their nervousness didn't completely fade away though.
"...B2." Holly stated as she showed her piece of paper.
"Oof." Ryder gulped. "I think I forgot my steps."
For the first time in the whole season, Colin made a thumbs-up to Ryder.
"Well… good luck."
Ryder pat his back. "Thanks, bro."
Colin (Major A): "Of course he's gonna do better than me! Why do I even-"
The camera cuts Colin's confessional as we now proceed to Enrique, who had just unfolded another piece of paper from Major B's bowl.
"...B3." Enrique stated.
Carter sighed. "Two basses in a row? I honestly wanna go later but…" he then crosses his arms. "I guess I don't have a choice."
With Evan picking the next performer for Minor A, he proceeds to unwrap another strip of paper, thus reading it.
"...MT3." Evan reads his paper.
Therion winced a bit but kept his cool once he heard his code.
"Good luck…" Rival whispers to him. Although Therion heard, he chose to not react to it and just left him be, which saddened the red haired boy.
The camera now points to Leticia picking from the Minor B bowl.
"...S1." She said, folding the paper back again.
"Oh no…" Janice sighed.
"You got this, Janice." Mairead cheered her up and patted her back.
The judges then gave their chosen papers to Lee, who shuffled them once again on his hand.
"Our fifth performer is… MT3." The young judge announced.
"Oh boy, good luck Therion." Misha told him. The rest of the Major A team also gave him a quick good luck before he went up to the stage.
He looked at the audience for a bit, particularly at the right side where the interns were sitting and sighed a bit when he saw Mara with a sad face but decided to carry on.
"Hello, I'm Therion Suarez and the song I'll be singing is called Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls." He stated. And once he did, the stage lights went dark.
Performance #5 (Therion [MT3]; Minor A)
Song: Iris (Goo Goo Dolls)
The introverted gamer began to sing with a soft voice.
"And I'd give up forever to touch you
'Cause I know that you feel me somehow
You're the closest to heaven that I'll ever be
And I don't want to go home right now"
The music then gets louder as he continues on with the pre-chorus.
"And all I can taste is this moment
And all I can breathe is your life
And sooner or later it's over
I just don't wanna miss you tonight"
As the chorus hit, some of the audience members started to sway along with the music as Therion kept singing.
"And I don't want the world to see me
'Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's meant to be broken
I just want you to know who I am"
The second verse comes into play and Therion manages to hit this part.
"And you can't fight the tears that ain't coming
Or the moment of truth in your lies
When everything feels like the movies
Yeah you bleed just to know you're alive"
Therion kept on singing, but what he didn't know was that Mara ran away from the auditorium and Ulysses ran after her. For what reason?
"And I don't want the world to see me
'Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's meant to be broken
I just want you to know who I am"
The audience also continued to sing along for a bit as the chorus kept playing.
"And I don't want the world to see me
'Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's meant to be broken
I just want you to know who I am
And I don't want the world to see me
'Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's meant to be broken
I just want you to know who I am"
Therion then sings the outro alone wholeheartedly.
"I just want you to know who I am
I just want you to know who I am
I just want you to know who I am"
The audience cheered for him as his team did too, with huge smiles on their faces.
"Never heard of that song actually." Lee stated. "But, your vocal technique is just so… wow. I don't even know what to say!" He continued, laughing a bit, hearing cheers from Minor A. "But you have one of my favorite voices here so far. Mezzo-Tenor is a good vocal range for you. Keep it up. I'm giving you a 3."
"I on the other hand," Leticia stated as she dabbed her eyes with a handkerchief. "I love that song. It's just so special. And you dear, made it into a whole other level. You've just bought yourself a (Cody! No, I'm just kidding lmao) 3! Good job!"
Evan was next. "You've… made me speechless about it. I'm at a loss for words right now… You earned another 3, young man."
Therion's eyes lit up. He got a score of 3 from three judges in a row. He then turned his attention to Enrique.
"I wholeheartedly agree with the judges before me, Therion." Enrique chuckled. "But, you know, there's still room for improvement. So, I'm also giving you a 3."
Rival actually widened his eyes at his best friend, but at the same time, there was a tiny bit of jealousy in him that the black-haired boy managed to get almost all the judges' attention.
And then there's Holly.
"Hmm… I don't like it." Holly shook her head. Therion honestly doubt that there would be a stupid plot twist there so, nah. "But it's not enough for me to dislike it. So I'm only giving you a 1."
Therion was a bit bothered by not getting a perfect 15, but he understands it. There could even be flaws in it, you know?
Don applauded with the audience as he made his way up to the stage. "You've got 13 over 15 points! That is incredible."
Therion made his way back, but he went out of the auditorium. Who knows why though.
"Next, we have…" Lee keeps up the suspense as he rumbles the folded pieces of paper in his hands and picks one up. "S1!"
Janice made her way up to the stage, shaking a bit from nervousness as she cleared her throat.
"G-good evening everyone! I'll be… dancing to Almost Love by Sabrina Carpenter. Please enjoy!" She stated, shaking as she got into position, sitting down.
Performance #6 (Janice [S1]; Minor B)
Dance Number: Almost Love (Sabrina Carpenter)
"Ah yeah, yeah, yeah
The moment when the light is red before the go
The moment when the curtain's down before the show
The moment when you're done, but maybe just one more
That's how I feel before I get you all alone"
As the music hypes up a bit, she makes a twirl, flipping her hair.
"We could give it a minute
But what's the fun in a minute?
When we could push all the limits, ah yeah
Shirt hanging off my shoulders
Both hands wanna hold you
So baby, what's the hold up?
Yeah, yeah"
As the chorus plays, she kneels down and dances with her hands climbing towards her neck, showing off her rather daring side.
"Can you feel the tension rising?
Now you're, now you're getting it close
Now you're, now you're getting it close
Almost love, it's almost love
Speed this up 'cause I'm excited
No more, no more taking it slow
No more, no more taking it slow
Almost love, it's almost love
Almost love
Almost love, but it could be love
Almost love
Almost love, but it could be love
Almost lo-lo-love
Almost love, but it could be love
It could be love, it could be"
The second verse plays and she continues to dance boldly.
"I want you like a midnight hour wants a view
I want you like a loner wants an empty room
I want you like a kiss that's long and overdue
I need you more than I have ever needed you"
She smirks a little as she keeps this up.
"And we could give it a minute
But what's the fun in a minute?
When we could push all the limits, ah yeah
Shirt hanging off my shoulders
Both hands wanna hold you
So baby, what's the hold up?
Yeah"
The chorus goes in once more as she flips her hair and continues to dance.
"Can you feel the tension rising?
Now you're, now you're getting it close
Now you're, now you're getting it close
Almost love, it's almost love
Speed this up 'cause I'm excited
No more, no more taking it slow
No more, no more taking it slow
Almost love, it's almost love
Almost love
It's almost love, but it could be love
Almost love
Almost love, but it could be love
Almost lo-lo-lo-lo-love
Almost love, but it could be love
It could be love
It could be, yeah
We could give it a minute
But what's the fun in a minute?"
She walks around for a bit before the music calms down.
"Can you feel the tension rising?
Now you're getting it so close
Now you're getting this so close
Almost love, almost love
Oh, 'cause I'm excited
No more, no more taking it slow
No more, no more taking it slow
It's almost love"
The last chorus pumps on as she finishes her dance.
"Almost love, oh baby
It's almost love, but it could be love
'Cause it's almost love, but it could be love
Almost love and you know
Almost love
But it could be love
'Cause it's almost love, but it could be love
Yeah, it could be love, eh"
The music ended as the audience cheered for her. Janice panted a bit and turned to the judges.
"W-well… um…" Lee was at a loss for words. It was obvious because his face was as red as a fucking tomato. "I-I'll just give you a 3."
Arabelle (Minor B): She chuckled a bit. "Y'all… am I going crazy or was Lee… attacked by how Janice danced? Dang, she actually did a really good job at unintentionally seducing him in front of an audience like that." She snickered.
Lyle (Minor B): His mouth was hanging open. "What the hell did I just see? That judge looks as if he's crushing on her now!" He laughed. "We're not losing this time, Minor B! Let's just hope that he isn't biased enough and that she doesn't hog all the spotlight."
Nash (Major A): He gives off a rather skeptical look. "Hm something's going on with him that's for sure, partner. But wait 'til they see my performance!"
Leticia paused for a bit, before nodding at her own notes. "I honestly loved your expressions, dear. At first I thought you were a bit more on the softer type, but you actually pulled off this kind of concept! That is duality! So, I'm also giving you a 3, and mind you, I wasn't copying Lee." She chuckled.
Evan was next. He nodded a bit as well and gave his remarks. "Not a huge fan of the concept, but you did amazed me, so I'll give you a 2."
Enrique jutted his chin. "As a dancer, I also loved the way you had your expressions. Not to mention, your dance is great too. But, I have a feeling that your moves weren't sharp enough and that's your downfall. So, I'll give you a 1."
Holly shook her head again. "If you want to know why I give a lot of low scores is because I'm a very picky person. I only pick the best and sad to say, you're not a part of it because of that over-the-top performance. So, for me, you're far away from my passing point. That's a huge zero to you."
"That's 9 out of 15 points!" Chris announced. "Not bad, but I think you could've done better."
Janice sighed sadly, hearing her score as she went back to her seat.
"Our next performer is… B2."
Major A and the rest of the audience applauded as Ryder made his way up to the stage, hoping that he remembered his choreography well.
"Hello everyone! I'm Ryder Walker, and I'll be dancing to Sing Me To Sleep by Alan Walker." He bows a bit as he got into position.
"Are they related?" Kimmie asked stupidly before the music began.
Performance #7 (Ryder [B2]; Major A)
Dance Number: Sing Me To Sleep (Alan Walker)
The song starts off with a high pitched voice singing as Ryder begins to dance slowly and sharply.
"Wait a second, let me catch my breath
Remind me how it feels to hear your voice
Your lips are movin', I can't hear a thing
Livin' life as if we had a choice"
He then continues on to the pre-chorus. Some of his teammates were actually amazed by his body control technique.
"Anywhere, anytime
I would do anything for you
Anything for you
Yesterday got away
Melodies stuck inside your head
A song in every breath"
The chorus rolls on as the beat intensifies.
"Sing me to sleep now
Sing me to sleep
Won't you sing me to sleep now?
Sing me to sleep"
The beat drops and Ryder dances to match the tempo of the song. When the song goes into the next verse, he starts to dance more slowly.
"Remember me now, time cannot erase
I can hear your whispers in my mind
I've become what you cannot embrace
Our memory will be my lullaby"
The beat continues to intensify once more as the chorus hits.
"Sing me to sleep now
Sing me to sleep
Won't you sing me to sleep now?
Sing me to sleep"
The second beat drop enters, and that was when Ryder switched his choreo. He began to dance at a quick pace, using different variations of hand movements.
"A-anytime
I would do
Time away
Yesterday-day
A-anytime
I would do
Time away
Yesterday-day"
As the music ended, Ryder gave a quick bow as the audience cheered, quite satisfied with his own performance.
The judges pans on to Leticia.
Wait, Leticia?
"Lee had to go to the bathroom, but he said he's giving you a 3 due to that dance break. Ahem." The dark skinned judge told him. "And I agree. Your dancing is literally art and I love that body control. But there was something off so I'm giving you a 2."
Evan on the other hand had a pretty surprised look. "I'm a huge fan of artistic pieces, so I highly agree with Leticia here… I will also give you a 2."
Enrique gave a short applause to Ryder. Yeah, he liked it too. "For me, you literally put the whole thing together with that dance break. I'm impressed! My score for you is a 3."
Holly sighed a bit again. But this time, she looked pretty unsure. "Well… it was good. But not good enough. Leticia pointed that out earlier, and there was something off when you danced in the end. I don't know, maybe your speed doesn't match? Nonetheless, I'm giving you a 2."
The contestants gasped, mostly Major A, and most especially Ryder. That was the first score of 2 that Holly gave that night!
"Aaaaaaand with that, you have… 12 points out of 15! Major B is catching up!" Blaineley applauded as Ryder bowed again and went back to his seat.
Leticia stood up, taking Lee's place as she announced the next performer. "For our eighth performer tonight, we have… B3!"
Carter hissed a bit as he went up, ignoring the small cheers he received from his team by muttering, "I'm going to regret doing this."
Once he was on the stage, he gave everyone a pretty straight look. "Good evening everyone, I'm Carter Kane and I'll be sing- er… rapping for this performance. The song I'll be performing is called My Stress by NF."
"Seems to fit him." Zack shrugged, Sami on the other hand couldn't help but agree.
Performance #8 (Carter [B3]; Major B)
Song: My Stress (NF)
The song started with the chorus as Carter began performing.
"Yeah, some days, I just wanna leave the negativity in my head
I just want relief from my stress
I just want relief from my stress
Some days, I don't wanna see or
Have a bunch of people to impress
I just want relief from my stress
Yeah, I just want relief from my stress"
He then broke into the rap… which was an incredibly different style and speed compared to Gabe's rap earlier.
"Late nights, starin' out the window doin' 85
Got my state of mind
Yeah, walkin' on that grey line
Hopin' that my stress dies
It's like I hate it, but I love it at the same time
Pressure pushin' me from all sides
Insecurities of all kinds
Yeah, I'm a hostage to my own pride
Most important things in life to me are things I know I can't buy
Yeah, it's me in phases
I'm not in the mood, yeah, to meet another stranger
I'm not in the mood, yeah, to have a conversation
And talk about a bunch of things that I don't feel amazed with
Gettin' too close to me, woo, could be dangerous
I don't like the energy, I leave the situation
All this negativity, yeah, I can't get away from
All this negativity, I think I need a break from
I'm thankful, but"
The intensity of the rap calmed down a bit as the chorus hits.
"Some days, I just wanna leave the negativity in my head
I just want relief from my stress
I just want relief from my stress
Some days, I don't wanna see or
Have a bunch of people to impress
I just want relief from my stress
Yeah, I just want relief from my stress"
Carter broke into the second rap, starting to rap with full emotion that actually shows how stressed he was.
"Yo, this life got my head spinnin'
Wonder what I'd do if I knew these were my last minutes
Wonder if I had a week to live, would I stay trippin'?
Wastin' every day that I had left tryna sell tickets
Or maybe call my dad, say I love him and laugh with him
Take a couple days and get away from this fast livin'
I don't love my work the way I did
Man, this whole business has got me feelin' jaded
Friends I had, now they act different, it's all switchin', whoa
Yeah, it's pretty hard to watch
Things you used to love turn to things that you wish you forgot
Real moments that make you question the things that you want's
Got me growin' mentally, but stressin' me out 'til I drop
Over the top is where I live on a daily basis
I always find a way to find the bad in good situations
It's sad, huh?
Yeah, I live my life on the edge, don't want the meds
I'm just tryna get relief from my stress, you know?"
The chorus breaks in again, and Carter continues ignoring the intent stares he was getting from his team.
"Some days, I just wanna leave the negativity in my head
I just want relief from my stress
I just want relief from my stress
Some days, I don't wanna see or
Have a bunch of people to impress
I just want relief from my stress
Yeah, I just want relief from my stress"
As the final rap goes, he begins to rap it all again, a bit of a different style from how he did it previously.
"These stress levels are not healthy
I'm waitin' for that call sayin' records are not sellin'
I wonder when this all disappears and they forget me
Will I feel like I found who I was or be more empty?
I wonder was I was wrong thinkin' this is where God led me
Or did I get involved with somethin' that was too heavy?
I drive until I'm lost and just sit in my car yelling
My inner critic talks, I'm just hopin' that God helps me
Just stop stressin', yeah"
The final chorus goes on as the untrusting boy keeps this up.
"Some days (some days)
I just wanna leave the negativity in my head (I just wanna leave it)
I just want relief from my stress (yeah, I just wanna leave it)
I just want relief from my stress
Some days (some days), I don't wanna see or
Have a bunch of people to impress
I just want relief from my stress
Yeah, I just want relief from my stress
Yeah
Yeah, some days
Yeah, some days
I just wanna leave, the
I just wanna leave"
He sighed a bit, glad that this was all over with. He never even looked at the audience and even the judges who were actually clapping for him. And yes, that includes Holly.
The applause died down for a bit as all attention turned to Lee.
"Well… I kind of missed half of the song, but at least I got to hear the other half which is good! Your rapping style is insane but at the same time, I can actually tell why you chose this song, and the fact that I've heard of it before… I think you perfectly reflected that. 3 from me."
Leticia stood there completely amazed. "You're making me go on an emotional rollercoaster, dear. That impact when you broke into the rap… I loved every single part of it. You'll get a 3 from me as well."
Evan made a light smirk. "I can relate to you… kind of… you're rapping style was superb, and I absolutely loved it. As a former rapper, you definitely caught my eye, so I'm also giving you a 3."
Enrique on the other hand, had his mouth wide open towards Evan like a stupid hoe. "Wait… you were a rapper? How do I not know that!? I never heard you rap back when we were in highschool!"
Evan smacked some sense onto the bulky man. "Get to work."
"Yeah. Ahem. I'm impressed actually, but… the chorus though, there's something off that I can't pinpoint… oh, why did I become a judge when I don't know how to pinpoint stuff… oh well, I'm giving you a 2."
For the first time, Holly looked pretty impressed. "I'm going to admit this… I actually liked it. So…" she sighs a bit. "I'm giving you a 3."
"A what now?" Brea widened her eyes like a complete moron from the hosts' table. "Did she just say a 3? Wow…" she then chuckled. "This bitch said, 'Fuck it.'"
The blonde hostess whacked the back of the other hostess' head. "Shut up. There are children listening."
"Y'know, you could've said it before the season even started-"
"And Carter gets 14 out of 15 points! So close!" Chris says. "That's enough to beat Therion's score from earlier, but it's not enough to beat Minor A's current score- oh crap. I spilled some beans. Anyway, here's the current leaderboard for Round 2!"
ROUND 2 PERFORMERS: Therion (MNA), Janice (MNB), Ryder (MJA), Carter (MJB)
Major A - 19 points
Major B - 22 points
Minor A - 23 points
Minor B - 16 points
ROUND 3
"Okay, so... to make this quick… judges! Please state the next paper you are holding!" Brea ordered, startling the shit out of the remaining contestants who haven't gone yet.
"T2." Holly started for Major A. For the first time, someone in the Tenors actually got picked but the person who had this code… yeah, not really excited.
"Oh great. Of course it had to be right now." Colin sighed dejectedly as Ryder patted his back.
"You'll do great, I promise." He assured Colin but the latter shook his head.
"Don't make promises you can't keep."
"A4!" Enrique announced but Maya the intern gave him a sheet of paper. "Idiot, not the paper! But hey, I could actually take some notes with this…"
Sybil winced a bit, hearing her code.
"Don't worry, babe. I know you'll pull this off." Pierre smiled and flashed a quick wink at her. But what made this situation odd was that she actually smiled at him.
"B1!" Evan said as he held his paper up.
"Wow, they'd be killing the Basses one by one, huh?" Rival commented, seeing all the Basses had already gone except for him and ELV, but he was next anyway.
"Good luck, Rival!" Alec cheered. Misha followed by giving him a high five.
"MS5!" Leticia announced, holding up the last paper of the round, announcing the first Mezzo-Soprano performer.
Mairead gasped, hearing her code.
"What's wrong, Mairead?" Janice asked.
"I… never thought of my performance yet!" The socialite shrieked but wasn't loud enough for Arabelle to hear. Otherwise, things would be going cuckoo.
"But for our ninth performance…" Lee started. "We have T2!"
Colin widened his eyes at the sound of his code and hesitantly went up the stage.
"You can do this, partner!" Nash cheered.
The downed boy saw this, but kept his reactions to himself as he focused on the audience around him.
"I'm Colin Lanthored from Major A, and I'll be singing Heart's A Mess by Gotye." He stated and turned back a bit as he muttered to himself. "Shame that this performance won't be so memorable anyway."
Performance #9 (Colin [T2]; Major A)
Song: Heart's A Mess (Gotye)
The song starts off as a slow beat as an intro.
"Pick apart
The pieces of your heart
And let me peer inside
Let me in
Where only your thoughts have been
Let me occupy your mind
As you do mine"
He continues on to the next verse, ignoring the hopeful looks his team was giving him.
"You have lost
Too much love
To fear, doubt and distrust
It's not enough
You just threw away the key
To your heart"
Even though the build of the song was different, that actually didn't stop his team from cheering him on.
"You don't get burned
'Cause nothing gets through
It makes it easier
Easier on you
But that much more difficult for me
To make you see
Love ain't fair
So there you are
My love"
He then goes on to the refrain of the song, managing to hit the high notes with emotion in his voice.
"Your heart's a mess
You won't admit to it
It makes no sense
But I'm desperate to connect
And you, you can't live like this
Your heart's a mess
You won't admit to it
It makes no sense
But I'm desperate to connect
And you, you can't live like this"
Ryder (Major A): "I know it's kinda pathetic to do a confessional while someone else is performing but did you guys hear those high notes? Especially that connect~ part." He said, trying so hard to imitate Colin's voice but fails miserably as Colin's a Tenor and he's a Bass. "Dang, that honestly gave me the chills."
"Your heart's a mess
You won't admit to it
It makes no sense
But I'm desperate to connect
And you can't live like this"
Colin's voice calms down to a softer one, as the outro rolls in.
"Love ain't safe
You won't get hurt if you stay chaste
So you can wait
But I don't wanna waste my love"
The audience applauded and cheered as the song ended, earning a small smile from the downed boy. Now that his talent is getting recognized, it's time to see what the judges think!
"That was… impressive." Lee told him. "It was honestly expected since you're a Tenor and all, but I love how you hit those notes effortlessly. Although, you could've improved more but your emtions covered up those flaws, surprisingly. So, I'm going to give you a 3."
Before Leticia could give her remarks, Brea was heard snickering at the hosts' table.
"I'm sorry. It's just that it's so funny how the judges were arranged from Lee always giving a 3 to Holly who is always giving a 0-" Brea saw the glares she's receiving. "Aaaaand, that is where I'll shut up."
"Well…" Leticia cleared her throat. "I personally loved going on emotional rollercoasters and you kiddos never failed to surprise me so far! Especially those high notes! 3 for you!"
Evan nodded in as well. "They keep saying what I was going to say, so since all my points have been pointed out, I'll just give you a 2."
Enrique looked pleased as well. "All points have been pointed out. Your vocal color is outstanding. But… I feel that you could have done better so, I'm giving you a 2."
"1." Holly chimed in, earning a huge sigh from Colin. "Not that I don't like it, it's just… my standards are very different."
"And that is…" Chef announced as he got a calculator out of nowhere. "11 out of 15 points! Not bad, honestly!"
Colin looked at the ground as he went back to his seat, not entirely satisfied with the score he got, and got a pat in the back from Ryder.
"Anyway," Brea stood up to the stage. "Who's our next performer?"
"MS5." Lee stated.
A few seconds passed but no one seemed to be getting up.
"Um… who is MS5?" Brea asked the contestants.
"Mairead is." Blaineley answered.
The socialite shuddered and stood up from her seat. "I…"
Her team widened their eyes. What could she be up to?
"I… don't have a performance." She said sadly.
"What do you mean you don't?!" Arabelle shouted, gathering attention from the judges, hosts, and other teams. "Do you know that we only have 16 points!?"
"Arabelle, stop!" Vanessa shot up. "If Mairead can't do it, then wait till we have our next team performer!"
"Oh come on! This is what I've always been getting! Thanks to Mairead and your boyfriend, we got the lowest score! We only got more than 10 because Janice managed to seduce a judge!" Arabelle raged.
"Excuse me?!" Janice crossed her arms. "I don't seduce people!"
"And mind you," Vanessa grabbed Arabelle's shirt. "Gordon isn't my boyfriend. He's my best friend. At least I have one, not unlike you."
"Stop fighting!" Mairead shouted and got onto the way of the three girls.
"Says the girl who literally just threw off the challenge!" ELV joined in the raging madness. At this rate, people were already recording a video of this and the screens and camera showed their argument.
"Why'd you do that Mairead?" Oli asked calmly. "Are you purposely trying to get our team to lose?"
Gordon placed a hand on Oli's shoulder.
"Don't get involved in this."
"Well, Mairead, you're going to go home once this challenge is over with!" Arabelle fumed.
"STOP FIGHTING! ALL OF YOU! WE ARE LITERALLY THE ONLY TEAM WHO IS TRYING TO TEAR EACH OTHER APART! DO YOU WANT TO ELIMINATE SOMEONE IN EVERY ELIMINATION!?"
Minor B all stopped their arguments and turned to the source of the voice that overpowered them all.
Which was no other than their only teammate who hasn't said anything during their argument. The jet-black haired boy known as Lyle stood in front of his whole team, not minding the stares he got from everyone else.
"I honestly thought all of you were all so friendly, so genuine, but it was a huge slap to my face! You, all of you, especially you." He pointed towards Arabelle. "Minor B wouldn't fall apart if it wasn't for you. And you, Mairead," he pointed to the socialite afterwards. "I thought you were far more advanced than all of us combined, even Oli. You even managed to make it to the final seven last season! I'm sorry but your decision is so questionable. Actually no, all of Minor B's moves were so fucking questionable."
Some of the other contestants winced a bit. He was one of the only contestants who never swore until now, which actually startled them, but then again he has a point. He is completely under pressure. He then turned his attention to his whole team. "I will admit it: I was also making questionable actions, but I don't reach that point where I'll betray a teammate! And honestly, I was a bit skeptical about the whole fiasco revolving around ELV." He reached for his pocket and got out a notebook. "This? Yeah, and to think you guys were so judgemental." He added as he placed it back on his pocket.
ELV wanted to ask why he had it and what in the world was going on but stopped himself when Lyle started to speak again.
"If all of you are just going to kill each other, might as well give you all some knives and just do so. But if you guys want to stick to each other, you have to keep moving on as a team. Now, are you part of Minor B or not?"
"I am." Vanessa stood up. "I honestly had enough of this."
"I'm in too." Janice agreed as well.
"Count me in." Oli piped up.
"Same." Mairead nodded.
"Arabelle? ELV?" The ballerino turned to them.
"Okay." ELV looked at the ground.
"If that makes y'all happy then… fine." Arabelle finally responded.
Blaineley sighed of relief. "I just love it when a team forgives each other, don't you agree, Chris?" She turns only to see Chris gone. "Chris?"
"Yeah, yeah. Let's get a move on." Chris said in frustration. "Let's skip Mairead. Who's next?"
Lee rolled his eyes a bit at Chris's remark but got out a paper anyway. "B1."
"Well, at least there's that to end the tension!" Rival cheered a bit, going up to the stage. "I'm Rival Survival, here to sing Come With Me Now by Kongos!"
Performance #10 (Rival [B1]; Minor A)
Song: Come With Me Now (Kongos)
"Come with me now
Come with me now"
The music starts off with a funky beat as Rival taps his foot to the beat.
"Woah come with me now
I'm gonna take you down
Woah come with me now
I'm gonna show you how
Woah come with me now
I'm gonna take you down
Woah come with me now
I'm gonna show you how"
He then starts off with the verse, taking away some of the awkward tension in the atmosphere
"Afraid to lose control
And caught up in this world
I've wasted time, I've wasted breath
I think I've thought myself to death
I was born without this fear
Now only this seems clear
I need to move, I need to fight
I need to lose myself tonight"
The chorus goes along again as the audience starts clapping to the beat.
"Woah come with me now
I'm gonna take you down
Woah come with me now
I'm gonna show you how"
The next verse plays as the guitarist continues on with his low voice.
"I think with my heart and I move with my head
I open my mouth and it's something I've read
I stood at this door before, I'm told
But a part of me knows that I'm growing too old
Confused what I thought with something I felt
Confuse what I feel with something that's real
I tried to sell my soul last night
Funny, he wouldn't even take a bite"
Moving on to the bridge of the song, his team began cheering him on.
"Far away
I heard him say (come with me now)
Don't delay
I heard him say (come with me now)
Far away
I heard him say (come with me now)
Don't delay
I heard him say (come with me now)"
The chorus comes up, and the camera pans to Therion, who is watching his friend with a not so keen look in his face.
"Woah come with me now
I'm gonna take you down
Woah come with me now
I'm gonna show you how"
Therion (Minor A): "I know I'm mad at him, but he's really not bad at singing."
"Afraid to lose control
And caught up in this world
I've wasted time, I've wasted breath
I think I've thought myself to death
I was born without this fear
Now only this seems clear
I need to move, I need to fight
I need to lose myself tonight"
The final chorus comes in as his team keeps cheering him on.
"Woah come with me now
Woah come with me now
I'm gonna take you down
Woah come with me now"
Rival took a dramatic bow with a huge smile on his face.
"Glad that's over with!" He sighed in relief.
"So, I love how you kept the mood up despite what happened earlier." Lee commented with a slight nod. "However, I feel like you could use a bit more technique in your vocal color. Not that I don't like it, but yeah. Overall, I'd say a 2."
"Hm, I honestly don't know…" Leticia ponders for a bit. "But I do love the cheerfulness you bring into the song, your vocals could use a little bit of tweaks here and there but I'll be giving you a 3 because you did a pretty good job."
Evan had a complete neutral expression. "I'm gonna be real honest here. Not a huge fan of the song. But, I can see you put a lot of effort to it, so I'm giving you a 2." He ended it with a small smile.
"I on the other hand, loved it." Enrique praised him. "I may have a different taste of music than Evan, but you did a really good job. That is a 3 for you."
Holly shook her head. Here we go again. "Not liking it. It's actually kind of weird to be honest but nope. I'm giving you a zero."
Rival's face fell when he heard the word zero. So he practiced this after his disagreement with Therion, only to get a zero from this hag? But nonetheless, he just shrugged it off as he went back to his seat with Don going up on the stage.
"That's… 10 out of 15. Pretty good." Don nods. "Next is our last performance before you guys go to sleep. It's literally 12 in the midnight so the rest will perform tomorrow. So who's next?"
"A4." Lee responds.
Sybil gets up with her hands shaking a bit as she goes up the stage.
"You can do this, Syb!" Adala cheered.
"Um… hi. My name is Sybil Van Tropé and the song I'm going to sing is called All You Had To Do Was Stay by Taylor Swift. So, yeah. Please enjoy!"
On Major B, Adala and Sami were cheering her on like crazy but Pierre had what seemed like a look of guilt on his face.
Performance #11 (Sybil [A4]; Major B)
Song: All You Had To Do Was Stay (Taylor Swift)
Sybil began as the music played, singing with her soft voice.
"People like you always want back the love they gave away
And people like me wanna believe you when you say you've changed
The more I think about it now the less I know
All I know is that you drove us off the road"
She kept her eyes on the audience as she continued on to the chorus.
"Stay, hey, all you had to do was stay
Had me in the palm of your hand
Then, why'd you had to go and lock me out when I let you in
Stay, hey, now you say you want it
Back now that it's just too late
Well could've been easy
All you had to do was stay
All you had to do was stay
All you had to do was stay
All you had to do was stay
All you had to do was stay"
Her voice was shaking a bit towards the second verse, but she shook it off and carried on.
"Here you are now, calling me up, but I don't know what to say
I've been picking up the pieces of the mess you made
People like you always want back the love they pushed aside
But people like me are gone forever when you say goodbye"
She then carried on with the chorus as a small smile appeared on her face.
"Stay, hey, all you had to do was stay
Had me in the palm of your hand
Then, why'd you had to go and lock me out when I let you in
Stay, hey, now you say you want it
Back now that it's just too late
Well could've been easy
All you had to do was stay
All you had to do was stay
All you had to do was stay
All you had to do was stay (stay, stay, stay)"
As she went to the bridge part, she kept singing as she closed her eyes.
"Let me remind you this was what you wanted (oh oh oh)
You ended it
You were all I wanted (oh oh oh)
But not like this
Not like this
Not like this
Oh, all you had to do was stay"
She then fluttered her eyes open and looked towards her team, particularly Pierre, who was trying his best to look away.
"Hey, all you had to do was stay
Had me in the palm of your hand
Then, why'd you had to go and lock me out when I let you in
Stay, hey, now you say you want it
Back now that it's just too late
Well could've been easy
All you had to do was stay"
Sybil goes on with the last part, keeping her genuine smile on her face.
"Hey, all you had to do was stay
Had me in the palm of your hand
Then, why'd you had to go and lock me out when I let you in
Stay, hey, now you say you want it
Back now that it's just too late
Well could've been easy (all you had to do was stay)
All you had to do was stay
All you had to do was stay (oh)
All you had to do was stay
All you had to do was stay
All you had to do was stay (ooh)"
Pierre (Major B): He sighs a bit. "I know this song. She sang it during our production- fine. I'll admit it. I used to be her co-star. We dated after that but then we broke up, it was kind of my decision but it was mostly hers. When she sang that song, it felt like she was talking to me… I don't know. Now I feel so stupid."
The former star bowed, finishing her performance as the audience clapped again. She then turned to the judges.
"Yeeeeeeaaaaaah, not kinda my thing." Lee frowned a bit. "Your expressions were honestly a bit over the place actually, but I'm just gonna give you a score of 1 for your efforts."
"I'm gonna have to agree, honey. Although I do love your voice, I feel as though you could've done a bit better than that. So, I'm going to give you a 2." Leticia added.
"Well…" Evan scratched his head. "I honestly don't know, but since I kinda agree as well, I'm also going to give you a 1. I feel as though you can do better, but don't discourage yourself from singing."
Enrique was also a bit unsure. "It's kinda all over the place. I think you didn't execute it that good, honestly. No offense. That's sadly a 1 from me."
Sybil sighed. That's only 5 points. The lowest score from earlier was 7, not counting Mairead of course. But now, she felt really disappointed in herself.
Holly rolled her eyes a bit. "I'm sorry, but… what was that? I'm gonna say it straight to the point. It was completely forgettable. I don't know what was going on in that head of yours, but whatever it is, I don't like it. It's either you fix that or don't come back at all. Zero."
Sybil widened her eyes as her team gasped. First Major A got that kind of comment with Antoinette. Then Minor B with Gordon. And now Major B. At least Minor A didn't with Rival's performance.
She went back to her seat, feeling like crying as Adala and Sami gave her a hug. Her score was even lower than anyone else's and it honestly embarrassed her.
On the other hand, Chris came up like a complete douchebag. "Okay, all offense, but that really sucked. Too sappy. 5 over 15." He chuckled as the other hosts joined him. "Anyways, here are the current scores!"
ROUND 3 PERFORMERS: Colin (MJA), Mairead (MNB; did not perform), Rival (MNA), Sybil (MJB)
Major A - 30 points
Major B - 27 points
Minor A - 33 points
Minor B - 16 points
"So, mentors! Do you have any tips for our next performers tomorrow?" Blaineley asked.
"Well, I'd say you just need to put your heart into it!" Ella remarked in the cheesiest way she could. "Everyone loves a performance performed with all of their heart!"
"For me, since only one person did a monologue so far…." Spear began. "I think you guys need to work on emotions. Most of you."
"I would say, to try different styles in dancing and rapping." Hali added. "Never hurts to try something new."
Blaineley nods towards the mentors. "Thank you mentors! And thank you judges for coming here tonight!"
After a while, the stage is now empty, with only the hosts there.
"So, lots of questions today!" Don began. "What will happen now that new and old relationships are forming like May, Ryder, and Beatrice, and another one with Sybil and Pierre?" He said. "Don't forget about Sami and Zack too!"
"Will Minor B get along now that Lyle is now in charge?" Chris added. "Will the mystery between Carter and Mag be solved?"
"What in the world is Toxa up to?" Blaineley said. "And what does Lee see in Janice?"
"Will Rival and Therion get along again?" Chef chimed in.
"And how will the others fare out in their performances tomorrow?" Brea popped out. "We'll find out next time!"
Don rubs his hands. "This has been the hosts of Total Drama Act II: Musical Power-"
"Signing off!" They all waved. "And good night!"
Day 2, 6:00 AM - Part 2 Transition
MUSIMENTAL THEATER - LOBBY
Brea sat on one of the lobby's couches as she waited for her co-hosts.
"Gosh, why the hell are they late!?" She sighed, checking her silver watch over and over again.
Suddenly, the door went open and in came the four other hosts, with Don in a messy hairdo.
"What happened to your hair?" The teen hostess asked.
"I woke up late. Told you that I'm not much of an early bird anymore." The blond host shrugged.
"Hey, is that camera on?" Chris asked the other hosts.
"Who put that there!?" Blaineley shouted.
"Let's just start and get this over with." Chef rolled his eyes and all the hosts faced the camera.
Chris then cleared his throat. "Last time on Total Drama Act II…" He began. "We kicked off with Part 1 of Episode 3 with a rising love triangle between May, Ryder, and Beatrice." The scene shows them in the Music Room. "We also got Nash trying to get Colin's trust, Antoinette and Arreis insulting each other, and the revelation of Sami's past to Zack." The three scenes were now shown on screen.
"The mystery between Mag and Carter also continues, with another problem arising when Adala found out that Pierre and Sybil used to have an affair. It also looks as if Rival and Therion ended their friendship and Toxa was planning something against Alec." Don continued.
"I would continue the recap but it's getting long really quick." Blaineley sighed. "Anyway, almost half of the cast performed, excluding Mairead who didn't perform, causing a whole bunch of mayhem on to Minor B."
Brea rubbed her hands. "What's gonna happen in this episode? How will the other 18 fare out in their performances? Will Holly stop giving zeros and ones? Find out now on-"
"TOTAL!"
"DRAMA!"
"MUSICAL POWER!"
The scene didn't cut to the opening theme.
"What's wrong?" Chef asked. "We said the title! Do your thing!"
"I think it's because we forgot to say Act II." Chris facepalmed.
"Crud."
MAJOR HOUSE - MAJOR A ROOM
Riiiiiiiiiing! Riiiiiiiiiing!
The sound of an alarm clock on someone's phone rang out in the entire room, but only Arreis seemed to be awakened by it.
"Ugh, it's just my phone-"
"Contestants!" A voice rang out from a speaker that just hung from the right of the door, which obviously sounded like Chris. "Head onto the theater at 7:30 for the next part of the challenge!"
This caused the other six members to wake up and groan.
"Ugh… why so early in the mornin', partner?" Nash groaned, currently dressed in a white tank top and striped boxers. He sat on the couch, his feet dressed in black crew socks on the floor.
"It's probably because not everyone performed yet." Beatrice added, getting off from her bunk, dressed in white oversized pajamas.
"Life, why must you treat me this way…" Colin sighs overdramatically, still in his normal ragged outfit.
"Well, look on the bright side Colin." Ryder stood up, just in his blue undershirt and shorts. "At least your score is pretty high."
"So much for my monologue," Antoinette added as she rolled her eyes. She was currently in a yellow PJ shirt and white pants. "Hey, someone wake that weenie up." She pointed towards May who was still asleep.
Beatrice scowled towards Antoinette and approached the small girl in a white nightgown. May's long blonde hair that used to be in drill tails was let down for now.
"Hey, May. Wake up." The pink-haired timid girl shook May a bit, causing the blonde to wake up.
"Ughhh, what time is it?" May groaned, not liking the fact that they were all forced to wake up early.
"6:15." The timid girl answered.
"We gotta head into the theater before 7:30." Arreis reminded them and proceeded to the bathroom with a bath towel on her hand to take a shower.
MAJOR HOUSE - MAJOR B ROOM
Everyone in Major B seems to be asleep for now…
Except for Sybil who just layed down on her bunk looking at the ceiling above her. She was wearing a white camisole and sky blue shorts. She had dark circles in her eyes, obviously getting lack of sleep from last night.
Suddenly, the speaker rang.
"Contestants!" A voice rang out from the speaker which obviously sounded like Chris. "Head onto the theater at 7:30 for the next part of the challenge!"
Adala (who wore nothing but a black t-shirt and olive green high cut underwear) was so startled by the sudden alarm that she accidentally bumped her head on Sami's bunk which was right above her.
"Ow, crap!"
"Uh, you alright?" Sami asked, hanging upside-down from her bunk in her Disney logo shirt and striped pants.
"Yeah, I'm fine." Adala nodded as she clutched her head.
"Who said that?" Carter asked everyone in the room, currently just in a white tank top and green shorts.
"Chris. Duh." Pierre tiredly rubbed his eyes a bit and got up from his bunk, wearing a white shirt and black shorts. "We should be there before 7:30."
Zack gasped on the other hand and scrambled in his backpack for his song. He was in a white cotton t-shirt and blue striped PJ pants.
"Uh- guys have any of you seen a paper with a Hamilton song on it? Because I need it, like right now." He panicked.
"Sorry, I haven't bro." Gabe answered as he got out his normal clothes from his bag.
Zack sighed as he had nothing to do for now.
MINOR HOUSE - MINOR A ROOM
"Contestants!" A voice rang out from the speaker which obviously sounded like Chris. "Head onto the theater at 7:30 for the next part of the challenge!"
"You have gotta be kidding me." Robert rolled his eyes, falling off of his bunk.
"Yeah, who gets up at six?" Kimmie whibed in as well.
"The hosts do." Alec yawned as he was in a plain white shirt and blue shorts. "They're early birds."
Toxa shrugged from the other side of the room, currently in a white t-shirt with an anchor on it and black basketball shorts. "Not all of them."
Rival on the other hand, saw Therion getting some clothes out of his backpack.
"Hey, you did good back there." The red haired boy complimented.
The gamer nodded a bit, placing his hands on the pockets of his blue hoodie. "Thanks. You did too."
"Yeah." Rival nodded again and took a step back, trying so hard to not make the conversation awkward.
"Hey, Mag. Have you thought of what to perform?" Misha asked, already in a white t-shirt and ripped jeans, with her black jacket just hanging on her shoulder.
"Yeah. Kind of." Mag simply responded, currently in a red crop-top tank top and red sweatpants, detailed with orange splatters. She was also currently tying her hair up into a ponytail.
Both girls gave each other a nod of good luck as the rest of the team began preparing themselves.
MINOR HOUSE - MINOR B ROOM
Janice, Vanessa, Arabelle, Lyle, Gordon, Oli, Mairead, ELV
The room was surprisingly quiet, until a certain girl in a red sweater barges in.
"Oh wow! You guys are such sleepyheads!" Said the girl with a lot of sarcasm in her voice, which was revealed to obviously be Vanessa, standing in the doorway of the room.
The Minor team woke up by her sudden noise and at the same time, the speaker rang.
"Contestants!" A voice rang out from the speaker which obviously sounded like Chris. "Head onto the theater at 7:30 for the next part of the challenge!"
"No shit, sherlock." Arabelle muttered under her breath. She was currently in a black silky jumper cinched at the waist.
"Ugh, way to go for ruining my sleep, Vanessa." ELV rolled his eyes sleepily, currently in a white undershirt and shorts.
"Eh, she's right. If I don't wanna get eliminated later… ugh, so be it." Mairead sighed frustratingly and rushed onto the bathroom.
Arabelle was about to make a snarky comment when Lyle stopped her. The latter only wore blue basketball shorts.
"No." He shook his head. "Save it for later."
MUSIMENTAL THEATER - AUDITORIUM
"And welcome one and all to the second part of the challenge!" Brea enthusiastically greeted as the audience sat down along with the judges and contestants. The hosts were all on the stage. "Wait, are we missing anyone?"
"Yeah, um…" Blaineley took notice of three vacant seats at the front row. "The mentors? I thought they should be-"
"Right hereeeeeee~!" Ella's singsong voice rang out the entire theater as she, Spear, and Hali all went to their designated seats.
"I- yeah, someone needs to tell her to stop singing every two seconds." Hali added with sigh, followed by a nod from Spear.
"So speaking of which, let's see the current standings!" Don told everyone as the screens now show the results from the previous rounds.
SCORES FROM ROUND 1-3:
MAJOR A - 30 points
MAJOR B - 27 points
MINOR A - 33 points
MINOR B - 16 points
ROUND 4
"Alright, judges!" Chris turned to the judges. "Let's see who is going to perform this round!"
Holly rambled the glass bowl a bit, taking out one random piece of paper and reading it.
"S4."
"Oh no." Beatrice squinted, her heart beating about a hundred kilometers per hour as May rubbed her back.
Enrique also began to unfold his paper.
"T3."
"Oh, lord…" Zack bit his lip, trying so hard to remember where he put that paper with the song's lyrics on it...
"A3." Evan stated.
Mag jumped as she heard her code, startling the crap out of Misha.
"Chill, you'll do great." Misha smirked, and surprisingly, Mag instantly calmed down.
"Yeah, you're right."
"MS1." Leticia read her paper.
"Already?" Vanessa widened her eyes. "I wasn't expecting to go this early in the morning."
The four judges also quickly gave their papers to Lee, who picked out a random one.
"And our twelfth, I think… performer is…" Lee began clearing his throat. "A3."
"Oof." Mag winced but decided to go up the stage for the sake of her own team.
"Go Mag! Break a leg!" Misha and Toxa cheered from their seats.
The vengeful girl cleared her throat before starting off an intro. "Um… hi! I'm Mag Lawrence and I'll be dancing to Avundsjuk by Nanne Gronvall. Avundsjuk means Envy in Swedish. So yeah, I hope you enjoy! And uh… I'm gonna need a chair."
Eden pops out from the curtains as she brings in a wooden chair with armrests on it. "Uh, it won't break. I promise."
Mag nodded as the intern went away, signalling the start of her performance.
Performance #12 (Mag [A3]; Minor A)
Dance Number: Avundsjuk/Envy (Nanne Gronvall)
You always have such a disgusting turn, an unflinching flow;
I myself have to assert myself through excessive boast
Mag had herself balanced against the chair, a sly tempting smile forming on her face.
Why do you always get everything you and I want?
And why should I have to pretend to be happy?
Doing a single spin, she brought herself close to the ground but pulled herself quickly up and turned her back to the chair.
It is said so classy that beauty always comes from within
Mag gracefully twirled herself down to the ground to the front of the chair and stared up with a smile that was meant to please someone.
Have!
At that cue, it looked like someone had slapped her harshly on the face; the pain visible.
To say something so stupid, yes it feels like a mockery
Removing the shock, she got up from the ground and grabbed the top of the chair for support.
Why there are so few who fall for me?
She bent herself backwards, flipping her hair gracefully in the process and sat down in the chair, her legs hanging off the armrest.
That you are so good looking
A sly smile formed on her face as she stared at the judges.
It disgusts me!
Quickly, she shot herself up from the chair, whipping her hair in the process.
I want, I want, I want ha-ha-ha
Arms out, she bent herself backwards but shot up and placed one hand behind her head and the other behind her back and spun herself once, one arm shooting up in the air and the other firm by her side.
Lee (Judge): He's blushing again like a fucking tomato. "I'm sorry, I just get so… flustered with these kinds of choreographies. First, that girl last night, and now her. Oh no…"
Because I'm jealous, I'm so jealous.
There is so much I need: Men and a lot of clover
Marching towards the front of the stage with a smirk on her face, she did a single kick with her left foot, threw her head back and squatted down to the ground but jumped back up again. Doing a quick spin, her arms glided in quick movements, but kept in pace with the song.
Jealous, I'm so jealous
Side stepping, she quickly bent herself at the waist to her right but quickly shot herself to bend backwards to her left and did a quick spin, improvising some quick but fluid arm movements that went with the beat of the song.
You should be able to share and tell everything as friends.
But I never admit how I actually feel
She did a slow gliding movement, with her eyes closed and holding a straight face, but made the quick movement that someone pushed her backwards, making herself look shocked at the sudden "gesture".
You are self-indulgent and lazy, and not at all intelligent
Mag took a few steps backwards, before side stepping, and placed a hand on her hip doing a few hip shakes.
But every time we see you tell something positive that happened
Strutting forward, she returned to the front center of the stage.
You get a hug, I say I'm glad for your sake
Misha (Minor A): "Dang, bitch. This girl is breaking her leg." She chuckled a bit. "No, not literally. Duh."
For the truth it only creeps forward when I'm full
Mag looked like she had her arm under someone at their waist.
Hick
She made a gasping motion like the person just did something wrong.
And when I wake up the next day, I deny everything, and ashamed!
And say "I don't remember what I said".
A truth, to say the least, a modification
Toxa (Minor A): She just sat there, completely speechless for five seconds.
"Okay, gotta admit. She's a good dancer."
I want, I want, I also want!
Rising up from a head dip, Mag held out one arm but drew it back in seductively, then did the same with the other arm; flicked her head to the right for a moment, then did a simple spin where she stood.
Because I'm jealous, I'm so jealous. There is so much I need
Strutting to her left, she did a single spin to her right. She did a quick head dip down, but shot back up and high kicked into the air.
Men, friends, travel, clover
Crossing her arms over her chest but quickly undoing it to where her left hand was on her left shoulder and her right was on her right shoulder, before her arms went up into the air doing what appeared to be a finger snap.
Jealous, I'm so jealous
As she lowered her arms, she stepped to her right while moving her shoulders up and down in a dancing motion.
I am so jealous! I am so jealous!
Doing a quick spin, she headed back towards the front center of the stage. Mag did a quick motion of raising her left leg but kept her foot firm against her other leg, while flicking her arms into the air.
So damn jealous!
At the slightest hardship, you break down, I listen and comfort, but smile inside!
There is so much I need, but who cares about that?
Doing a quick spin to where she faced the judges, her arms quickly formed an X as she hung her head down; then with a swift movement of her hands, made it appeared like she flicked her hair back as she straightened up.
Jealous!
Doing swift arm and leg movements, she seductively walked a circle.
I am so jealous!
Picking up speed, she put her arms out in front of her, she spread them out as she bent backward, but snapped herself up; putting one arm above and behind her head, while the other arm went behind her arm while doing a shoulder roll, then doing a hair flip.
Oh, I'm so jealous!
Snapping herself back up, she did a quick twirl and circled back to the chair, which she posed with her back up against it; the seductive smile back on her face.
As the song ended, everyone cheered and applauded for her. Mag sighed in relief, glad that this was over with.
The attention went to the judges as Lee struggled to find some words again.
"Well… you actually did a good job and…" he realized he was starting to get awkward so he just sighed. "Fuck the comments. I'm giving in a 3."
Enrique hissed. "Lee, what did I tell you about swearing on national television?"
Lee sunk back into his seat. "Um… sorry."
Leticia decided to end the conversation between the two. "That was beautiful, honey. I'm gonna say right here that I love the dance performances last night and this one. I'm encouraging you to participate in a dance competition, I'm sure you guys will take the cake!" The dark skinned woman chuckled. "That's a 3 for you."
"Gotta admit," Evan started, tapping his fingers on the table. "It was good. But… for some reason, I don't think that was your best so… I'm giving in a 2."
"Interesting reason, Evan." Enrique gave out a light chuckle. "I'm giving you a 3. It's really impressive."
It took Holly about a minute for her to decide, in which Minor A was waiting anxiously for the result.
"2." Holly said. "You could use some improvement here and there, otherwise, you're good."
"And that is…" Chris began, getting a calculator from who-knows where. "13 out of 15 points!"
"Argh, so close!" Mag gritted her teeth but sighed afterwards. "But at least it wasn't a bad score." She added, going back to her seat.
"Well… who's next?" Chris asked the judges.
"S4." Lee replied, earning a huge gasp from Beatrice.
"Oh no…" she gulped.
"Come on, you can do this Beatrice!" May cheered with a small grin.
"Okay…" she nodded with determination in her eyes as she walked up to the stage
"Hello everyone! I'm Beatrice Eddlestein, and I'll be performing Karma by Marina! I hope you guys will enjoy it!" She greets before going behind a microphone stand as music from a guitar started playing in the background.
Performance #13 (Beatrice [S4]; Major A)
Song: Karma - Acoustic Ver. (Marina)
"Heartbreaker, real faker
Getting off on bad behaviour
I know you inside and out, out, out
You're losing your temper
Do you think they won't remember?
You're only sorry when you're coming down, down, down"
She then grinned into a wide smile going to the pre-chorus.
"(I know)
Real hearts don't lie
Take it from me (I know)
You'll see in time
Take it from me"
The chorus starts, Beatrice tapping her feet to the beat.
"It's funny how it all goes down
Don't be sorry when it comes around
I'm like, "Oh my god, I think it's karma"
(Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh)
Ain't it funny how it all adds up
When you're always tryna push your luck?
I'm like, "Oh my god, I think it's karma"
(Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh)
Oh my god, I think it's karma
Oh my god, I think it's karma"
As the second verse enters, Beatrice continued to sing, obviously enjoying the performance.
"It starts with one snowball
Then you watch the dominoes fall
You carried on and on without a doubt, doubt, doubt
So vicious, this cycle
When you live in sweet denial
But you'll be sorry when you're coming down, down, down"
The pre-chorus going in again, as well as the anticipation for the next chorus.
"(I know)
Real hearts don't lie
Take it from me (I know)
You'll see in time
Take it from me"
At this rate, the audience also seems to be enjoying the performance as some people even started to sing along.
"It's funny how it all goes down
Don't be sorry when it comes around
I'm like, "Oh my god, I think it's karma"
(Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh)
Ain't it funny how it all adds up
When you're always tryna push your luck?
I'm like, "Oh my god, I think it's karma"
(Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh)
Oh my god, I think it's karma
Oh my god, I think it's karma"
Beatrice then sung the bridge, attaining a successful attempt at doing some adlibs.
"And when your world comes crashing down (It won't save you)
All of the money in this town (It won't save you)
Won't save your reputation now (It won't save you, mmm)
Real hearts don't lie
Take it from me (I know)
You'll see in time
Take it from me"
The timid girl then gave her all whilst singing the final chorus.
"It's funny how it all goes down
Don't be sorry when it comes around
I'm like, "Oh my god, I think it's karma"
(Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh)
Ain't it funny how it all adds up
When you're always tryna push your luck?
I'm like, "Oh my god, I think it's karma"
(Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh)
Oh my god, I think it's karma
Oh my god, I think it's karma
Think it's karma"
As the audience applauded, Beatrice smiled and did a cursty, glad that her performance was over with.
The judges all had mixed expressions on their faces as they began to express their thoughts.
"I'm actually surprised someone decided to go down into the acoustic route." Lee remarked. "But then again, you did the same during your audition, so that's given. I'm giving you 3."
"Same for me, dear." Leticia said with a nod. "I liked the performance, and if I were to give you some advice, I would say work on the emotions a bit more. Also 3."
"I would've said the same," Evan nodded in agreement. "And since she just basically took my comment, I will just give you a 2."
Enrique slammed his hands on the table. "I am struggling with giving the scores here. All of the things I was going to say were also taken by the others, so I'll just give you a 3."
Holly on the other hand, was jutting her chin in thought. Without any other comment, she finally decided her score. "2."
Beatrice was wondering why on earth did Holly gave her a two, but let it slide as she thanked the judges and head back to her seat.
"So the total is… 13 over 15! So close, yet so far…" Chris commented until a glare was shot up by Evan. "Okay, who's next!?"
"MS1." Leticia answered, reading Lee's paper.
"You got this, Vanessa." Gordon whispered as the pianist nodded and went up to the stage.
"Good morning, everyone! My name is Vanessa Michelle Navarro, here to perform Let Go by Frou Frou. I hope you all enjoy!" She greeted as the stage lights went dim, playing the intro in the background.
Performance #14 (Vanessa [MS1]; Minor B)
Song: Let Go - Frou Frou
"Drink up baby doll
Mmm are you in or out
Leave your things behind
'Cause it's all going off without you
Excuse me, too busy oh, writing a tragedy
These mishaps you bubble wrap when
You've no idea what you're like"
Diving into the chorus, Vanessa sang in her mellow voice, in contrast to some of the other female contestants' voices.
"So let go
And jump in
Oh well whatcha waiting for
It's all right
'Cause there's beauty in the breakdown
(So let go) yeah let go
And just get in
Oh it's so amazing here
It's all right
'Cause there's beauty in the breakdown"
The music calms down a bit as the pianist continues on with the second verse.
"It gains the more it give
And it rises with the fall
So hand me that remote
Can't you see that all that stuff's a sideshow
Such boundless pleasure
We've no time for later now
You can't await your own arrival
You've twenty seconds to comply"
The chorus kicks in once more, with the music intensifying.
"So let go
And jump in
Oh well whatcha waiting for
It's all right
'Cause there's beauty in the breakdown
(So let go) yeah let go
And just get in
Oh it's so amazing here
It's all right
'Cause there's beauty in the breakdown"
Vanessa then continued to sing in her mellow voice as she headed to the outro.
"And jump in
Oh well whatcha waiting for
It's all right
'Cause there's beauty in the breakdown
(So let go) yeah let go
And just get in
Oh it's so amazing here
It's all right
'Cause there's beauty in the breakdown
Mmm the breakdown
'Cause there's beauty in the breakdown
Hey, the breakdown
So amazing, yeah
'Cause there's beauty in the breakdown"
Everyone applauded her, with Minor B being the loudest. They still have hope that they will all let this slide through and change things up for the better.
"I'm… not sure what to say here, honestly." Lee scratched his head in confusion. It appears he really doesn't know what to say. "So… I think I'll give you a 2."
"Well my opinions are that your performance was spectacular." Leticia grinned. "I absolutely love Imogen Heap and I also love that you kept your voice so mellow through the whole song. 3 for you."
"I will go ahead and agree with Leticia, however I think you could use some improvement. That's a 2 from me." Evan added.
"I will give you a 3." Enrique declared. "It's just like what Leticia said. It also somehow made the song and vocals soothing."
"1." Holly stated plainly. Vanessa waited for the reason why but nothing came out of the judge's mouth, so she sighed.
"11 out of 15. Not bad." Chris nodded. "But still so far… so I guess that leaves up to T3, right?" Lee nodded in response as Zack made his way up to the stage, trembling nervously.
"H-hello." He stuttered. "I'm Zack Sanchez, performing… um… Hurricane. From Hamlet…"
Zack (Major B): "I'm extremely anxious right now." He bit his lip. "I didn't memorize all the lyrics since the paper was missing… I hope I don't cost my team…"
Performance #15 (Zack [T3]; Major B)
Song: Hurricane - from Hamilton (as Alexander Hamilton)
"In the eye of a hurricane
There is quiet
For just a moment
A yellow sky
When I was seventeen a hurricane
Destroyed my town
I didn't drown
I couldn't seem to die"
He started off pretty shakily, being nervous about forgetting the rest of the song.
"I wrote my way out
Wrote everything down far as I could see
I wrote my way out
I looked up and the town had its eyes on me
They passed a plate around
Total strangers
Moved to kindness by my story
Raised enough for me to book passage on a
Ship that was New York... bound-"
The music kept on playing, but for some reason, Zack stopped singing. It seems as though he forgot the lines.
The audience began whispering to each other. Major B had shocked expressions on their faces, as well as the judges. Zack bit his lip as he ran away from the stage.
Toxa (Minor A): "So, before I had the little talk with Alec last night, I saw this piece of paper near the doorstep of the Major's house." She explained, holding up a piece of paper. "It had Zack's name on it as well as the lyrics of his song. So I kept it. I still have the plan for Alec, but I'm actually sabotaging Major B in the process." She kept an evil grin on her face as well as her determination. "I have to go to Major."
"Well, that just happened." Don commented turning to the judges. "Unless anyone wants to make a comment?"
No one said a word.
"No? Okay, that's automatically zero points for Major B." Don confirmed.
Major B didn't seem to be too pleased with this.
"WHAT!?" Adala stood, outraged. "You can't do that!" She turned to the judges. "This is seriously fucked up! You guys would have just given a single comment!"
"Well, honey, he didn't-"
"NO! Fuck it, I'm out of here!" Adala stood, interrupting Leticia's comment, thus storming off the auditorium, prompting stares from the other teams.
"Well, apparently, that was Zack's decision. He didn't prepare for it, and everything goes poof!" Chris cackled. "Someone go find Adala before she actually escapes the theater."
"No! That is bullshit! I'm gonna find him!" Sami shouted, standing up from her seat and ran off the auditorium to find Zack.
Carter turned to face the judges. "Come on, that's not cool!"
Sybil crossed her arms as well towards Don and Chris but with a sad expression. "I'm sorry, but that was… kind of unnecessary."
"Yeah, you could've just given effort points or something!" Pierre stood into Carter and Sybil's defense.
Gabe went in front of the other teams. "Who among you stole Zack's paper!?" He shouted. Pretty much everyone in Major B was highly upset at this rate. However, no one dared to speak, as everyone was still shunned at what happened.
"You know what, Gabe?" Carter stood next to him. "Why don't we ask first the person we feel the most skeptical for in our team?"
He then pointed to Pierre, who then jumped in shock.
"Me?! Oh come on! I haven't done anything!" Pierre stood with his arms up defensively. "Sure I've been an asshole to you guys since yesterday, but that doesn't mean I do that kind of shit!"
"He's right!" Sybil stood. "I've known Pierre for a long time, and he may seem like an asshole, but he never steals things!"
"Oh, so you're defending him after all those things he said to you?!" Carter raged, stepping closer to Sybil.
"No, I'm just saying that because he isn't like that!" Sybil shouted back. "You're clearly framing him!"
"Stop!" Gabe went in between the two. "First Minor B had a problem last night. And now us! Don't you guys dare add something to that!"
Carter, Pierre, and Sybil fell silent with Gabe's sudden aggressiveness. Chris on the other hand, was cheering like an idiot.
"So, which team do you think had the best fight? Minor B? Or Major B? Gosh, the B in your team names probably stand for Brawl since you guys are brawling right now!" He laughed, prompting glares from the other hosts. "O… kay… let's just take a peek on the standings!"
ROUND 4 PERFORMERS: Mag (MNA), Beatrice (MJA), Vanessa (MNB), Zack (MJB; performance interrupted)
MAJOR A - 43 points
MAJOR B - 27 points
MINOR A - 46 points
MINOR B - 27 points
ROUND 5
"So," Chris began, standing on the center of the stage. "Before we begin round 5, raise your hand if you do not want to perform in this episode."
Some of the audience began talking to their seatmates. Some of the others gasped a bit, knowing that if they took this opportunity to skip their own performance, they would be a potential boot out of a team, or the whole game.
It took a whole minute for the remainder of the contestants in the auditorium to make their final decisions before some raise their hands, immediately getting stares from others. However, the camera did not pan to them due to several reasons of possible controversy.
"Alright, interns! Please rearrange the bowls and remove the codes of the ones who are not performing.
Dustin, Eden, Mara, Maya, and Ulysses all went and grabbed a bowl each (and much to Maya's irritation, she didn't get any bowl) and removed some of the papers in it.
After that, all the judges plucked another piece of paper off their bowls.
"MT4." Holly stated.
"MT2." Enrique read.
"MS2." Evan added.
"B4." Leticia said.
The judges then handed the papers to Lee, who began shuffling them on his hand. Nash, Pierre, Misha, and ELV waited anxiously as their respective codes have been called.
"B4." Lee announced as ELV got up.
"Hey, win this for us!" Mairead called out.
ELV was now on the stage, looking at the audience with an emotionless look.
"I'm ELV, and I'll be rapping No Love by Eminem." He deadpanned. "And the cussing was limited, don't worry." He added as the song began.
Performance #16 (ELV [B4]; Minor B)
Song: No Love - Eminem (Clean Ver.) (A/N: Kinda…)
"Young Money, yeah
Throw dirt on me and grow a wildflower
But it's "fuck the world", get a child out her
Yeah, my life a bitch, but you know nothing 'bout her
Been to hell and back, I can show you vouchers
I'm rolling sweets, I'm smoking sour
Married to the game but she broke her vows
That's why my bars are full of broken bottles
And my night stands are full of open Bibles
I think about more than I forget
But I don't go around fire expecting not to sweat
And these know I lay them down, make your bed
Bitches try to kick me while I'm down: I'll break your leg
Money outweighing problems on the triple beam
I'm sticking to the script, you skipping scenes
Be good or be good at it
Right I've got my, semi-Cartermatic
Yeah, put a in their mouth, so I guess it's " what they say"
I'm high as a : up, up and away
Man, I come down in a couple of days
OK, you want me up in the cage, then I'll come out in beast mode
I got this world stuck in the safe, combination is the G code
It's Weezy, blood gang and I'm in bleed mode
All about my dough but I don't even check the peephole
So you can keep knocking but won't knock me down
No love lost, no love found"
After he finished the slow rap, the chorus began.
"It's a little too late to say that you're sorry now
You kicked me when I was down, what you say, just
Don't hurt me, it don't hurt me, no more
You get no love
You showed me nothing but hate, you ran me into the ground
But what comes around goes around
And you don't hurt me
You don't hurt me, no more
You get no love, no love, no love, no love
You get no love, no love, no love
And I don't need you no more
Get 'em"
Quickly moving on to the second rap verse, he sped up. However, his emotionless look didn't help him much.
"I'm alive again, more alive than I have been in my whole entire life
I can see these people's ears perk up as I begin
To spaz with the pen, I'm a little bit sicker than most,
shit's fixin' to get thick again
They say the competition is stiff,
but I get a hard from this shit, now I stick it in
I ain't never giving in again, caution to the wind, complete freedom
Look at these rappers, how I treat them, so why would I join them when I beat them?
They call me a freak 'cause I like to spit on these 'fore I eat them
Man, get these whack off stage,
where the fuck is Kanye when you need him?
Snatch the mic from 'em,
I'mma let you finish in a minute, yeah, the rap was tight
But I'm 'bout to spit the greatest verse of all time so you might want to go back to the lab tonight and, um
Scribble out them rhymes you were going to spit and start over from scratch and write new ones
But I'm afraid that it ain't gonna make no difference when I rip this stage and tear it in half tonight
It's an adrenaline rush to feel the bass thump in the place all the way to the parking lot, fellow
Set fire to the mic and ignite the crowd, you can see the sparks from hot metal
Cold-hearted from the day I Bogarted the game, I self-started a Roc fellow
You can still get roasted because Marsh is not mellow
Til I'm toppling from the top I'm not going to stop
I'm standing on my Monopoly board
That means I'm on top of my game and it don't stop
Til my hip don't hop anymore
When you so good that you can't say it
Because it ain't even cool for you to sound cocky anymore
People just get sick cause you spit
These fools can't drool or dribble a drop anymore
And you can never break my stride
You'll never slow the momentum at any moment
I'm 'bout to blow, you'll never take my pride
Killing the flow, slow venom and the opponent
Is getting no mercy, mark my words
Ain't letting up, relentless
I smell blood, I don't give a: keep giving them hell
Where were you when I fell and needed help up?
You get no love"
The final chorus went on as ELV sang, his voice incompatible with the look he was giving.
And I don't need you no more
You get no love"
The audience applauded, but not as loud as the others which made Minor B glanced at each other in complete worry.
"1. I just don't see anything with the expression you're giving. Although the rap was good, your movement and emotions sadly hinder it. I'm sorry." Lee stated.
"I would say the same, dear. Only 2 because you put a lot of effort into the rap." Leticia nodded.
"2." Evan sighed. "As an experienced rapper, you have to put your emotion into it. You could've done similar to Carter and Gabe but, unfortunately, you didn't."
"2 from me." Enrique added. "I'm just a bit… so-so with your performance."
"Well for me, that's a 0. No expressions whatsoever." Holly rolled her eyes.
ELV wanted to grit his teeth, but stopped himself and made his way back to his seat. It was his fault, and it was because of the notebook that was taken from him.
"7 out of 15. So far, but at least you weren't the lowest." Chef tried to assure the team (and failed). "Our next performer is…"
"MS2." Lee declared, prompting Misha to run over to the stage, excited to get over with it.
"Hey, motherfuckers. I'm Misha Thomas, here to perform Barracuda by Heart for y'all. Hope you enjoy yourselves." She said rather quickly as the song began with a rapid electric guitar instrumental followed by some cymbals.
Performance #17 (Misha [MS2]; Minor A)
Song: Barracuda - Heart
"So this ain't the end, I saw you again, today
I had to turn my heart away
Smiled like the sun, kisses for everyone
And tales, it never fails
You lying so low in the weeds
I bet you gonna ambush me
You'd have me down, down, down on my knees
Now wouldn't you, Barracuda? Oh
Back over time we were all trying for free
You met the porpoise and me
No right, no wrong you're selling a song, a name
Whisper game:
She the rocker girl bobbed her head to the beat as the chorus rolled on.
"If the real thing don't do the trick
You better make up something quick
You gonna burn, burn, burn, burn, burn to the wick
Oooo, Barracuda, oh yeah"
At this point, Minor A chanted as she flashed a peace sign to them, while she went on to the next verse.
"Sell me, sell you" the porpoise said
Dive down deep to save my head
You, I think you got the blues too
All that night and all the next
Swam without looking back
Made for the western pools, silly, silly fools"
The chorus bops in once more as the atmosphere in the theater went hype.
"If the real thing don't do the trick, no
You better make up something quick
You gonna burn, burn, burn, burn, burn it to the wick
Oooo, barra-barracuda"
The song ended with a bang as the pink haired girl took a bow, waving to the audience as they applauded. Once the applause died down, the judges started giving out opinions.
"I love how hype you were during the performance." Lee nodded a bit. "I'm giving you a 3 due to the audience impact.
"3. Same with me, hun. I think you did a marvelous job hitting those notes as well." Leticia added with a grin.
"2. It's okay. Just… not a fan of the song." Evan shrugged.
"Well, I'm giving a 3. It's not about the music tastes that make up the scores." Enrique sneered at Evan.
"2. It was… so-so. To say the least. Good job with the audience impact." Holly complimented.
"13 out of 15. Dang, Minor A sure is killing this." Chef mentioned, prompting Misha to go back to her seat.
Misha (Minor A): "HOLLY JUST COMPLIMENTED ME. HOLY SHIT." Misha gasped, widening her eyes.
"Next is MS2." The judges declared as Pierre went up on stage.
"I'm gonna be performing a monologue called Even The Color Blue." He cleared his throat. "I'll be playing as Johan, so I hope you will enjoy this!"
Performance #18 (Pierre [MT2]; Major B)
Monologue: Even The Color Blue (as Johan)
"I didn't set out to be this way. I tried for so long to run away from myself. I've run all my life."
He looked at the audience with a melancholic look on his eyes. Major B was secretly hoping that he could change their score around.
"Every damn day I'm haunted with the fact that I'm living a lie and I don't want to hide anymore, I don't want to hide from you, from dad…"
He continued, raising his voice in the process, making aggressive hand gestures.
"I don't want to be this way but I have to be this way…there is no other way for me. I've tried everything else."
His voice softens a bit, looking at the ground. His facial expressions also toned down a bit as he sighed and looked up on the audience once more.
"This is me, Mom. I never wanted to hurt you or let you down or be less than the son you've always wanted. I know I'm probably not the son you've wanted and… I'm sorry for that."
Sybil (Major B): "I'm going to straight up admit that his acting skills were always top notch. He can be mad on cue. He can even cry on cue. I wish I was like that…"
"I just want to be accepted for who I truly am, not for who everyone thinks I am."
He continued with his voice shaking, and knelt on the stage.
"I just want you to know how I feel inside about this and how hard it's been for me all these years…"
He continued, trying hard not to cry at this point. But if he did, would he even get the points needed for his team and prove them wrong?
"I'm not trying to hurt you and dad…I only want your acceptance."
He stood up, signalling the end of the monologue as the audience applauded him. Even the remainder of his team had approving looks.
"No offense but, if I had to pick a winning monologue. It would definitely be this one. Again, no offense. I'm giving you a 3." Lee stated as Antoinette's jaw dropped from the side of the stage.
"I'm agreeing on that. You did great, dear. 3 from me also." Leticia nodded.
"2. You could've used a bit more movement, but this was good." Evan said in approval.
"Not the best at judging acting, but I'd probably give a 3. Good job." Enrique added.
"2." Holly stated firmly. "As Mr. Zito said, you could've used some more movement."
"And that was...13 out of 15 once more!" Brea smirked. "Major B's catching up! But let's see what this next performance will give us! Come on up, MT4!"
Nash went up on the stage with a cheeky grin as Lee fumbled in his seat, trying not to look at the teenage cowboy.
"Howdy! Name's Nash Bobby Kent Jr, performing This Cowboy's Hat!" He started as music began playing.
Performance #19 (Nash [MT4]; Major A)
Song: This Cowboy's Hat - Chris LeDoux
"Well there's always been groups of people that never could see eye to eye
And I always thought if they ever had a chance to sit down and talk face to face
They might realize they got a lot in common
Well I was sittin' in a coffee shop
Just havin' a cup to pass the time
Swapin' rodeo stories with this old cowboy friend of mine
When some motorcycle riders started snickerin' in the back"
He continued with the second verse. The judges seem to be enjoying his performance, except for Lee who was hiding behind Enrique like a toddler.
"Started pokin' fun at my friend's hat
One ol' boy said "Hey Tex where'd you park your horse?"
My friend just pulled his hat down low but they couldn't be ignored
One husky fella said "I think I'll rip that hat right off your head."
That's when my friend turned around and this is what he said"
He sang with a happy expression as he looked up to the audience.
"You'll ride a black tornado 'cross the western sky
Rope an ol blue norter and milk it till it's dry
Bulldog the Mississippi, pin it's ears down flat
Long before you take this cowboys hat"
Going on to the third verse, the audience was also enjoying the performance coming from the southern cowboy.
"Now partner this old hat is better left alone
See it used to be my daddy's
But, last year he passed on
My nephew skinned the rattler that makes up this ol' hatband
But, back in sixty nine he died in vietnam
Now the eagle feather was given to me by an indian friend of mine
But, someone ran he down somewhere around that Arizona line
And a real special lady gave me this hatpin
And I don't know if I'll ever see her again"
The chorus rolls in once again as the judges were all okay with his performance. Enrique managed to push Lee back into his seat.
"You'll ride a black tornado 'cross the western sky
Rope an ol blue norter and milk it till it's dry
Bulldog the Mississippi, pin it's ears down flat
Long before you take this cowboys hat"
Nash continued, singing the final verse of the song as he took off his cowboy hat for the first time in the season.
"now if your leather jacket means to you what this hat means to me
Then I guess we understand each other and we'll just let it be
But, if you still think it's funny, man you got my back up against the wall
And if you touch my hat you're gonna havta fight us all
Well right then I caught a little sadness in that gang leader's eyes
He turned back to the others and they all just kinda shuffled on outside
But when my friend turned back towards me
I noticed he's ol' hatbrim
Well it was turned up in a big ol' Texas grin"
The last chorus went on, and the cowboy continued singing brightly.
"You'll ride a black tornado 'cross the western sky
Rope an ol blue nortern and milk it till it's dry
Bulldog the Mississippi, pin it's ears down flat
Long before you take this cowboys hat"
He bowed with a huge grin as the audience cheered for him. Major A cheered for him also, glad that they were still safe.
"I'll give my score first. I'll give you a 3 since your expressions were on point, and I'm even glad that we all get to enjoy it, except for Lee." Leticia chuckled.
"I must say, great job on picking the song. It really fits you. 3 since you managed to nail it down." Evan nodded, jotting notes down his notepad.
"Same. 3. I'd watch the whole if it wasn't for Lee, though." Enrique laughed.
"..." Holly jutted her chin in deep thought before confirming her score (of course, with no reason behind it whatsoever). "2."
"O… kay…" Blaineley nodded. "What about Lee?"
"Uh… 2?" Lee answered, completely unsure.
"Whatever. Nash's score is 13 out of 15. Why is everyone getting 13 points? Jeez." Blaineley complained, though crickets just chirped for an answer. "Yeah. So… here are the points:"
ROUND 5 PERFORMERS: ELV (MNB), Misha (MNA), Pierre (MJB), Nash (MJA)
MAJOR A - 43 points
MAJOR B - 40 points
MINOR A - 59 points
MINOR B - 27 points
"And with that…" Brea joined the other hostess on stage. "We are now at the end of our challenge! Mentors? Any words?"
"Ella's asleep." Hali sighed, gesturing to Ella, who was asleep on her lap. "We didn't even- okay. I'm just gonna say, you guys did good. Just… work on your emotions." She added, specifically talking about ELV.
"Only two monologues were performed overall, but I don't think I have anything else to say because you guys did good." Spear nodded.
"Thank you! As for Major A's disadvantage…"
"Hold up, partner!" Nash stood, interrupting Don. "Did you say disadvantage?"
"From last night? Yes, my dear cowboy." Don smirked. "It's not that bad, we're just taking away 2 points of your score."
Major A sighed in relief.
"As for Minor A," Brea turned to the said team. "You guys get 2 additional points as an advantage." She added as the final tally mark displayed on screen.
Mag (Minor A): "So much for Chef's hand slaps. But hey, at least we're in the lead."
FINAL SCORES:
MAJOR A - 41 points
MAJOR B - 40 points
MINOR A - 61 points
MINOR B - 27 points
"Now, for the ones who didn't perform can make a confessional stating the reason why you didn't perform." Chef said.
"Right now?" Arabelle groaned.
"Yup." Chris nodded. "As for everyone else, go ahead and take a break. Minor B will be voting someone off since they have the least points compared to the other Minor team. Minor A, pick someone who is going to Major. And because Major B has one less point from the other Major team, you have to vote for someone who is going to Minor. Major A, you're completely safe."
Everyone nodded with mixed expressions as they headed out.
Adala (Major B): "I got carried away. I was so ready to do Listen To Your Heart, but since that happened to our team, I think I let that one out. I just hope I'm not going to Minor."
Alec (Minor A): "I didn't find a song on time. But hey, at least I'm safe… right?"
Arabelle (Minor B): "You all are probably calling me a coward by not performing out there. Maybe I'm suffering the same problem Mairead has. But I ain't telling anyone because she needs to get out."
Arreis (Major A): "I was kinda confident at first, but when Minor B and Major b had their disputes, I think I pretty much lost my confidence. I'm glad that we got higher than Major B despite that disadvantage because if we didn't, I'm toast."
Kimmie (Minor A): "Honestly, I was planning to sing True Colors again, but I thought against it in the last minute when we were given the opportunity to set aside the challenge because it felt… repetitive?"
Lyle (Minor B): "I know, I know. That was pathetic of me to not perform just like that. I honestly thought that the judges were annoyed by my antics when I first came here, but I can't think of anything different to do."
Mairead (Minor B): "I never had a song in mind, I guess I was focusing too much on convincing the girls to vote ELV out. I think I'm in big trouble…"
May (Major A): She sighs sadly. "I'm not… ready to perform on my own yet… I think I made the wrong decision to join this season…"
Oli (Minor B): "...I didn't think this through."
Robert (Minor A): "I was thinking that I should save my talent. I kinda feel like everyone will beat me, so… yup."
Sami (Major B): "I don't care about not performing. It's just that… it's the first challenge and things are not getting fair."
ONE HOUR BEFORE ELIMINATION - MINOR B
"Look at this way," Arabelle began, with Janice and Vanessa listening to her. They were in the bedroom. "I'm not buying anything Mairead said about voting ELV. At least he performed, unlike her."
"But then again, you didn't perform." Vanessa huffed. "So would it make even more sense if we voted you off instead?"
Janice ran into the middle of them before Arabelle could give Vanessa a piece of her mind. "Stop, fighting isn't gonna solve anything! If you're voting for Mairead, so be it! If you're voting for Arabelle, then go for it!"
"If that's how you want, then fine!" Arabelle shouted as she left the door.
The boys however, had a much easier voting plan.
"We're voting ELV off. No exceptions." Gordon stated. Him, Lyle, and Oli were in the living room.
"So we're still keeping this notebook?" Lyle asked Gordon, in which he nodded.
"Gordon, I think this isn't gonna be pretty…" Oli said nervously.
Meanwhile, in the backyard, Mairead found ELV leaning against the wall.
"ELV! I need your help!" The preppy girl shouted.
"What? Can't you see? Everyone else is voting me off!" He sneered, which made Mairead back off.
"But, they're targeting me too!"
"So what do you suggest we do?"
"Uhhh... " Mairead stuttered, trying to come up with a plan. "Well, I think the girls are voting me off, and the guys are probably on to you, so I think the best thing we do is to keep this a tie?"
"So you're saying we should vote someone else off? Either way, we're still guaranteed to be the boot because if we're tied, one of us is going anyway." He snarked and left the scene.
Mairead sighed. "Well, I guess I'm going home now. And there's nothing I can do about it…"
ELIMINATION AND SWITCH CEREMONY #1
The hosts were now seen in the podium on the stage's right side. We can see four platforms, two in the right, two in the left. The left platforms had blue lights, representing the Major teams while the right platforms had orange lights, representing the Minor teams. All thirty contestants can be seen on the platforms, anxiously waiting for what will happen next.
"Hello, viewers!" Chris waved towards the camera. "We are now finally here with our first ever, elimination and switch ceremony!"
"Now that tension has been built up with all of our teams, let's see who will vote off of their team, whether eliminated or being sent to Minor or Major!" Blaineley told the camera, winking towards the end.
"Hey, I hired some stage crew staff!" Brea cheered as some random people in black came in.
"Yeah. There's that. Now, who's ready?" Don asked the contestants.
Cheers rang among the contestants, with the exception of Minor B who held stares at each other, mostly in response to Don's question.
"So without further adieu," Brea smirked as she held a long pause. Yeah, further adieu my ass. "Let's start with the eliminations! Minor B, please cast your vote."
The eight members of Minor B went to hosts' podiums and wrote their votes in the ballot one by one.
VOTING CONFESSIONAL #1: MINOR B
Arabelle: "You guys probably know how much I want to vote Vanessa off, but this little weenie better get out of my sight, right now."
ELV: "I'm sorry, you messed up. I don't want any of us to mess up again because of you."
Gordon: "At this rate, it's probably obvious about who I'm voting off. I just hope the others would stick to the plan."
Janice: "Um, I don't know! Arabelle said Mairead and Vanessa agreed to that, but the boys said ELV! And I don't think Mairead would vote herself off either… argh, this is frustrating!"
Lyle: "A plan's a plan. I have full trust in Gordon and Oli on this one. I just hope the rest will follow."
Mairead: "I have a huge chance that I could go home, but if one of the other girls would vote for ELV with me, I still have a slim chance of staying…"
Oli: "Gordon, I so hope you're right…"
Vanessa: "Fine. You win this time, Arabelle. But next time, it would be me who will win."
After all eight Minor members voted, they all went back to their designated platform next to Minor A.
"Alright! For eliminations, we're bringing back… these!" Chris grinned wildly as he held a plate of marshmallows, much to the surprise of some others. "Once you get a marshmallow, you're safe from the game. If you don't, you'll be walking down the Red Door of Failure and out of this theater. And you can never come back. Ever!" The black-haired host continued, pointing to the huge red door just on the west side of the auditorium.
"Has that door always been there?" Arreis asked, earning a few nods from the other contestants as well.
"Well… yeah. Ever since it got renovated!" Don remarks, earning a loud groan from the magenta-haired veteran.
"Now, when I call your name, you'll receive a marshmallow, meaning you're safe." Blaineley instructed. "Safe with zero votes are… Lyle."
Lyle caught his marshmallow with ease and took a bite.
"...Oli."
Oli caught it with his mouth and ate it right away. "Sweet! Not eliminated first today!"
"...Janice."
Janice smiled but it faded as she didn't catch her marshmallow.
"...Vanessa."
Vanessa squealed as she caught her marshmallow and ate it.
"...Gordon."
Gordon caught his marshmallow as well and smiled at Vanessa, who was also happy that they were safe.
"...and Arabelle."
"HA!" Arabelle jumped with pure joy as Vanessa's smile faded.
ELV and Mairead both gulped as either one of them could be going home.
"ELV, you were voted because some of your teammates believe that you were scheming against them. Mairead, you were voted due to costing your team the point, and because half of your team believed that you were spreading false rumors about ELV." Chris explained.
"What? But I was helping!" Mairead protested.
"And what do you mean I was scheming against them?" ELV asked as well as he pointed to his team.
"Quiet!" Chris ordered. "Our first eliminated contestant of Total Drama Act II: Musical Power is…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
Suddenly, one of the stage lights shattered and everyone screamed for a second, scaring the shit out of the hosts. Not to mention, Chris who was just standing right under that stage light got a random jacket just in time for him to take cover from the broken glass falling from above.
"Welp. There goes that stage light." Chris winced. "Anyway, the first person eliminated from Total Drama Act II: Musical Power is…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
...
...a tie." The raven haired host announced, ending the super long suspense. "But instead of doing a tiebreaker vote, we will be announcing that both of you, Mairead and ELV, are officially eliminated."
"WHAT!?" Mairead stood, shocked by the response. "You can't just have a double elimination right away!"
"Yeah, just send one of us home instead!" ELV protested.
"We'll be two short from everyone else!" Arabelle raged.
"Well, I can because I'm Chris McLean!" Chris retorted stupidly.
"Pipe down, will you guys!?" Brea shouted, overpowering everyone's voices again. "Minor B will only be down one member compared to the Major teams. Minor A just has two more members than you. Happy?"
"No!" Gordon shouted.
Mairead decided to end the unwanted attention. "Well, sorry guys. I guess I messed up."
"Yeah you did. Big time." Arabelle snarked.
Janice and Vanessa came over to her and gave her a hug.
"Sorry, Mairead. I wish there was something we could do." Janice apologized.
"Yeah, we don't know who is right and all." Vanessa added.
"Don't apologize, guys. I had a good run last season." Mairead smiled. Oli came up to her. "Do your best, Oli. Be glad you aren't eliminated today."
"Oh, I will!" Oli grinned.
The camera pans to ELV about to make his leave but Lyle suddenly approaches him.
"Well, you were a good pal. I guess we just didn't have a choice." Lyle made a small smile which ELV smiled at him too.
"That's fine. A lot of people used to say that I was a schemer anyway. I got used to that kind of gig." ELV chuckled. "Do me a favor and kick Gordon's ass for me."
Lyle's smile faded once he heard this and was replaced with an uneasy expression. "Okay, um… I'll try."
Mairead and ELV both said their goodbyes and went out of the auditorium by entering the Red Door of Failure.
"Well, you just witnessed it, folks! Two down, twenty-eight more to go! But first, we'll be switching a member from Major and Minor!" Brea smirked at the camera. "Minor A and Major B, please cast your votes in the ballots."
Both teams lined up on different sides, Major B on the left and Minor A on the right.
VOTING CONFESSIONAL #2: MAJOR B
Adala: "It's obviously Pierre. I don't care how he helped us win a point last night, or even his performance earlier. Plus what Sybil told me is just, you know."
Carter: "Everyone agreed to vote on Pierre. That's exactly what I should be doing."
Gabe: "It's gotta be Pierre, right?"
Pierre: "Everyone's voting me off the team, right? Well, guess what? I'm voting on Sybil. She doesn't want to align with me, that's what."
Sami: "Adala, Zack, Carter, and Gabe all said Pierre yesterday. I agree with them."
Sybil: "I'm just gonna go on Pierre for this one. Sorry, but… I honestly don't think we can be together in the same team. It's… distracting."
Zack: "Um… we all settled on Pierre. I think it's too late for anyone changing their mind now. I hope no one votes me though because of what happened."
VOTING CONFESSIONAL #3: MINOR A
Alec: "I liked Mag's performance the most, honestly. Okay, I kind of juggled between her and Therion but I got a good feeling with Mag."
Kimmie: "Therion seems like a good choice…"
Mag: "Therion is one of the reasons why we won against Minor B in our performances. Props to him."
Misha: "Therion would be a good vote. Let's just hope Major B won't give us that motherfucker in their team."
Rival: "Misha did pretty cool. I mean, just look at the judges' reactions! I'm fine with any of us going to Major. I'm just worried about who will go to our team…"
Robert: "I'm voting for Misha. I think she deserves it."
Therion: "It's kind of hard to juggle with everyone since I believe some of us are that good. But I'll go with Mag."
Toxa: "Look, I'd love to go on Major, but I don't think you can vote for yourself here, that'd be too greedy. Therion will have to do it."
Everyone went back to their platforms.
"We'll announce Minor A's result." Blaineley chirped. "We have Mag and Misha with two votes. But moving up to Major with four votes is… Therion! Please step up front."
Therion smiled with joy as he stepped in front of both Minor platforms with everyone applauding him.
"For Major B… we have Sybil for one vote, but moving down to Minor with a whopping total of six votes, whoa you guys must hate this person." Don chuckled. "It's no other than… Pierre!"
Pierre made a huge scowl on his face, making his way in front of both Major teams as some of the audience began to boo him… mostly his team that is.
"Boo! Hiss!" Gabe laughed, with Sami nudging his elbow, also unable to control her laughter. "Karma got you, you little weasel!"
"Now… Therion and Pierre. Any words of luck before you two switch over to your new teams?" Chef asked the two.
Therion nodded as he turned to Pierre. "Good luck on not getting voted off."
Pierre made a huge smirk on his face as Therion said his comment. "Make my team pay."
"Really? If you promise me that you won't sabotage my team, we'll all be fair." The black haired boy answered.
Pierre made a slight chuckle and straightened his blue polo shirt. "Got it."
Both boys shook their hands as the audience applauded for everyone.
"Also…" Chris began and leaped in the center of the stage. "This is now the perfect time to use the items if you have any! How does it work? We'll give you five seconds to decide if you'll be using it or not. If you're gonna use it, clap twice!"
Don stepped up next to him. "Five seconds to decide to use an item starts now."
Colin looked at his whole team, then at Ryder. Ryder took note of this and slightly shook his head no. The downed boy nods a bit and sighs.
Alec on the other hand was looking at his item. Misha caught wind of it and noticed a white dot at one part.
"That's a Whole Note." she widened her eyes. "But I don't think now's a good time to use it-"
"Five seconds are up and it looks like no one has an item yet or they just don't want to use it! So… Brea, are we ending this episode here?" Blaineley asked. Brea just stared at the ceiling with an eyebrow up. "Brea?"
No response.
"BREA!" The other four hosts shouted and Brea stopped looking at the ceiling.
"Oh sorry… my train of thought crashed for a moment there, hehehe." She turned to the newly hired stage crew members who were off-camera. "Hey! Can someone make themself useful and fix that stage light!? That would be wonderful."
No one moved.
"Get that stage light fixed or you're fired!" The hostess raged.
"Well… Brea's literally the only person I know that can hire someone and fire them under forty-five minutes." Don laughed.
Suddenly, a random ringtone came into play.
"Whoops, that's mine. Hold on for a sec." Brea said as she grabbed her phone and answered it. "Hm?... Oh!... Yes, do come here later!... I think it's the right time to have a guest appearance!..."
The rest of the hosts widened their eyes.
"Huh?"
"Okay! Byeeee!" Brea chuckled and ended the call.
"Who's that?" Blaineley asked.
"Oh, we're just gonna have a guest appearance next episode! Although, I do think some of you guys might know 'em."
"Well… anyway! We have just witnessed our first eliminations and member switches this morning!" Chris announced.
"How will Minor B fare out now that Mairead and ELV are gone?" Blaineley asked.
"How will Minor A and Major B do now that they switched Therion and Pierre?" Chef added.
"Will Major A keep up their safe streak?" Don flashed a wink towards the camera.
"Who's guesting in the next episode?" Brea asked. "Only I know! Hehehe! Find out next time on-"
"TOTAL DRAMA ACT II: MUSICAL POWER!" The hosts chanted as the screen fades to black.
