The year is 1851 and I have imagined Joe to have a twin sister who is named after their mother, Marie. But she is an imp and accordingly is nicknamed "Scamp". The nine-year-olds are bored and when nine-year-olds are bored, they tend to find mischief. Or does mischief find them? This is my first time on here so please be kind! Complete.

In 1872, Adam lives in Chicago. A brothel madam plays matchmaker for him with an unconventional, yet respectable lady. Both are complicated people with troubled souls who are terrified of heartbreak. Their courtship starts out very slow before it ignites ... Contains: Coarse language plus adult themes such as self-medicating PTSD and suggestive descriptions of intimacy.

Synopsis: In the tenth season episode, "A Ride in the Sun" the Cartwrights are scammed by brother/sister con artists, Tobias and April Horn. This is Joe's story.

Dan Oult is a whaler who's lost faith in the sea. His father, a friend of Ben's, sends him to the Ponderosa. Perhaps time on land will set him right again. Except he's scared of horses. And cows. Anne Cartwright is Joe's twin sister, the often times spoiled only daughter among three brothers. Headstrong and used to getting her own way, she tags along on a trip to deliver the Pauite Wabuska to Fort Churchill. Along the way, the group runs into a dark-haired drifter with laughing blue eyes who eventually becomes more than a stranger passing in the night.
