Damian shoveled his driveway all while thinking about the cute neighbor Noémie living across the street. Her long, blonde, curly hair and her light brown eyes did something to him. She was also the sweetest person he had ever met. She was the first to welcome him when he moved into the neighborhood and they had quickly become friends. He was scared to cross that line but he wanted to. He wanted to every freaking day.

"Dream on, big man," he sighed.

He heard laughter a split second before a snowball hit his chest. He looked up and saw Noémie standing on the other side. She was laughing and clearly enjoying herself.

"Gotcha!" She laughed.
"Careful or I might not shovel your driveway too," he said.
"What makes you think I can't shovel my own driveway?" She asked.
"You usually don't complain when I do it," he said.
"I like watching you work for me," she said.

She squatted down and started shaping another snowball.

"Don't you dare," he said.

She grinned and stood up with the snowball in her hands.

"I'm warning you, Noémie," he said. "If you throw that snowball at me, I'm gonna..."

He didn't get to finish the sentence. She threw the snowball and it was aiming straight for his head. He got his arm up just in time for the snowball to hit that instead but snow still went flying into his face.

"That's it!" He said.

He threw the snow shovel on the ground and ran across the street. She ran around her house in an attempt to get away. He caught her in her garden and they tumbled down into the cold snow together. She was laughing so loud that he couldn't help but laugh too. He held on to her wrists while straddling her. Her laughter died down and she looked at him in a way she had never looked at him before. He couldn't stop himself. He leaned down at kissed her. He released her wrists to run his fingers through her hair instead. Her arms wrapped around him and held him tight. He broke the kiss and looked at her, not sure what to say in that moment.

"About time," she said.
"Excuse me?" He chuckled.
"I've been waiting for you to kiss me for so long," she said.
"You could have made the first move yourself," he said.
"I was afraid you didn't feel the same way," she said.
"And I was afraid you didn't feel the same way either," he said.

She pulled him down for another kiss and then slowly started shaking as the cold snow made its way through her clothes.

"We better get you inside where it's warm," he said.
"I made hot chocolate," she said.
"You did?" He asked.
"I was going outside to invite you in for a cup but the snow was just too tempting," she said.

He chuckled and pulled her up from the snow.

"You're too tempting," he smirked.
"Hold that thought, Damian," she smirked back. "Hot chocolate to get us warmed up first, and then we can figure out how to warm each other up in a whole other way later."
"And here I was thinking about inviting you out for dinner first," he said.
"I'll take a home cooked meal at your house tonight," she said. "Throw in dessert and I'll stay the night."
"Cheesecake or carrot cake?" He asked.

She laughed and wrapped her arms around his waist. She looked up at him with the cutest look.

"Stop with those puppy eyes," he chuckled. "Fine, I'll make both but I better not hear you complain about stomach ache. I got plans for you all night."
"I bet I'm gonna love those plans," she said.
"I bet you are too," he winked. "And so am I."
