I spent a majority of the night telling the people closest to me about the engagement. My parents. My friends. I found myself unable to stop smiling. I wasn't tired really. I was running on pure fuel and excitment. Everytime i tried to sleep.
Bailey awoke and found his way downstairs into the kitchen.
" Chocolate chip pancakes. Bacon. And scrambled eggs with cheese and ham. Yum." "Morning momma." Bailey said.
"Morning Bails. I thought we could use a delicious breakfast. Something to wake us up." Brooke announced.
"When you and Lucas get married. Where are we going to live?" Bailey asked.
Brooke was prepared for this. She knew it was coming.
"We're going to pick out a brand new house. Do you have anything you really want.? I'll keep it in mind." Brooke questioned.
"My own room with a window seat. And a pool in the backyard." Bailey replied.

"You and Brooke are getting married. I am way more happy about this then i expected to be."
"But you're at peace and settled. Only real love can do that." Haley said.
"She's the one. I know it. I have no doubt in my mind about that." Lucas replied.
"As you're best friend it's on me to make a real effort to befriend Brooke. According to what i've heard from Karen."
"She's worth getting to know." Haley added in.

Days Later
News of the engagement spread fast and got to people it should and people it shouldn't.
Brooke was excitedly looking through wedding things. In magazines and online. It was her slow period at the store.
"I've accepted that there will never be an us again. I don't care about you're impending marriage."
"I'm not giving up my son." Felix stated matter of fact.
