Last time: Sasha told Obi-Wan the truth and he took it surprisingly... okay.
Now: Sasha gets a call.
Epilogue
Three weeks later…
Sasha moved tirelessly through her kata. She had spent the last couple weeks regaining her strength and preparing for her knight exam. Master Kenobi had informed the Council that Sasha was ready for her Knight test only a week ago. He told her that he hadn't intended on waiting so long after the ordeal with Maul to tell them, but he knew she needed to complete a few exams first before he would pass along the word. And when he did, Sasha found herself training non stop to prepare for the test.
Before the war, the knight trail took many different forms and styles. For years, it took on the form of a verbal test followed by a physical one. But with the war, Sasha wasn't sure what form her test might take. Or when it would even happen. The only timeline her master gave her was that it would be soon. That they wouldn't make her wait too long. But given the wars timeline, that could mean as early as tomorrow morning or some time next month. She hoped for the former or at least in the next few days over the latter. So she decided to train and prepare everyday until she would officially receive the call.
Returning to her starting stance, Sasha panted as she flicked off her saber. She reached up and wiped the sweat from her brow. She moved from the center of the dojo to one of the benches that lined the wall. She grabbed her water bottle and cloak, and headed out in the corridor towards her quarters. It was about midday and the temple was buzzing with it's usual amount of activity that was common during the war. There were Jedi moving up and down the halls, but it still wasn't as lively as it was before the war kicked off.
Sasha moved quietly to her quarters and slipped inside once she got there. "Master?" She called when she entered.
There was no response.
She didn't sense him there, so he was most likely in a meeting at the moment. She moved over to her room, set her cloak onto the bed, grabbed a fresh set of robes and headed for the refresher to shower. After a quick rinse, she emerged from the shower and got dressed. She returned to her room to the sound of a commlink beeping.
Dropping her dirty clothes on the floor with her towel, Sasha leapt over to her desk where her commlink sat. But it wasn't going off. The beeping was still going off, so what was causing it? She looked around her room for the source of the beeping. After a moment, she opened her closet and found the commlink responsible. It was the burner one she had given the copy of to Dr. Zaz.
She pulled it out of the box she had hid it in and thumbed the button. "Hello?"
"Is this Jedi Monroe?" A voice on the other side answered.
"It is," Sasha responded, uncertain. "Is this Dr. Zaz?"
"Yes and I have news."
Sasha's eyes widened as she listened to the news Dr. Zaz had to share.
