"The moon is high

Like your friends were the night that we first met."

When Logan Huntzberger laid eyes on her for the very first time, he couldn't believe what he was seeing. There she was, dancing with uninhibited grace, atop the bar in a bustling Boston nightclub. In that moment, everything he thought he knew about love was turned upside down.

Their gazes locked, and something clicked within Logan's heart. He found himself inexplicably drawn to her, unable to tear his eyes away. It was as if a magnetic force propelled him forward, and before he knew it, he was walking towards the bartop where she stood.

As Logan closed the distance between them, forgetting about his friends, he felt a rush of excitement and nerves coursing through his veins. The chaos of the club melted away, leaving only them in the spotlight of the moment. It was then that her hand reached out towards him, as if beckoning him closer.

"Help me down?" she asked, her voice surprisingly audible amidst the pulsating music of the club. Logan was taken aback, not only by her request for assistance but also by the fact that he could hear her clearly in the midst of everything going on around them. His surprise quickly faded and he eagerly extended his hand to help her down. Their fingers intertwined, igniting a connection neither could deny.

As gratitude overwhelmed her, she expressed her thanks to the man who had come to her aid in a most unexpected way. Pressing her lips against his, she conveyed her appreciation without uttering a single word.

Just moments later, they found themselves outside the club as Logan's thoughts consumed him, he realized that he was ready to venture down any path that led to her. With a newfound courage, he softly posed a question that held immense significance. "Can I take you on a date?" he asked, his voice filled with genuine sincerity.

Curiosity danced in her eyes as she turned to face him, seeking further clarification. "When?" she questioned, her voice laced with both interest and intrigue.

A smile tugged at the corners of Logan's lips, his heart fluttering with exhilaration. "Now," he declared, his excitement evident in his words.

As a surge of happiness and excitement engulfed her being, she couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation for what was to come. "Okay," she murmured, her voice filled with a mixture of eagerness and curiosity. As she gave herself over to the unknown, she realized that she was placing her trust in a man whose name she had yet to discover. The thought of her parents and their potential disapproval flickered through her mind momentarily, yet she found herself unable to care about their opinions.

Their date began with a casual coffee rendezvous at a local Denny's, immersing themselves in each other's company. Within the first twenty minutes, they agreed to stick to no names but going by the nicknames Charming and Darling. They talked for hours, delving into various topics with an effortless flow, yet choosing to keep certain details elusive, as if cherishing the mystery between them. The conversation was filled with laughter, genuine connections, and a growing sense of comfort between them.

As the afternoon sun cast a warm glow, they decided to carry on their adventure by indulging in a shared pizza, savoring each bite while continuing their animated discussions. The hours seemed to meld seamlessly into one another, as time became inconsequential in their captivating presence.

When the date eventually drew to a close, they glanced at the clock on his cellphone, only to realize that it was already two pm. Almost fourteen hours had passed since they first laid eyes on each other in the club. To Logan, the past fourteen hours have been the best hours he has had in a while and he was thankful for that.

He didn't want to part ways with her; he desired to extend their time together. "I don't want this to be our goodbye," he confessed to her.

She responded with a gentle smile. "I don't believe this is our goodbye, at least not yet." He tilted his head, eagerly anticipating her next words. "If it's meant to be, fate will bring us back together." Her words conveyed more than just hope; they almost sounded like a promise.

Logan felt a surge of relief engulf him upon hearing her words. He desperately wished for her statement to hold true, that their paths would cross again in the future. Building up courage, Logan took a step closer, his hand gently caressing her cheek as he leaned in for a heartfelt kiss. She surrendered herself to him, allowing herself to melt into his touch and reciprocate the kiss. Time seemed to stretch out, as if savoring every moment shared between them, until the woman eventually pulled away, leaving both of them breathless.

"I truly believe this isn't farewell, my Darling," he whispered, his gaze locking with hers once again, using the endearing nickname they had affectionately chosen together. He stops himself asking her for a name, he knows that she wouldn' her earlier wishes, Logan refrains from asking for her name, mindful of not pushing her boundaries or creating any discomfort. However, he doesn't hesitate to embrace her slender form tightly within his arms, cherishing this moment.

"Until our paths intertwine again?" he murmurs softly, his voice laced with a hint of longing and a hint of sadness. These fourteen hours they shared together has been filled with different emotions for Logan, emotions that he's never really have felt before until this day.

She nods in agreement, inhaling his essence as if to imprint it upon her memory. There is a bittersweet understanding that the time has come to bid farewell. With one final kiss and a lingering hug, Logan reluctantly watches her depart, his gaze lingering even as she disappears around the corner.
