Chapter 9

It will be gruesome.

However, Lady Tiamat knew that if anyone were to turn Suguru Geto. It would be her. No one knows truly how one is turned into a dragon, but she does. She sees it first hand.

The dragon soul stopped the heart within the body, before absorbing the ego and soul that once inhabited it. From there, the ego from the body takes over and reforms themselves.

It's different for everyone when such an event occurs.

With Suguru however…

It would be something Sukuna would enjoy watching.

The moment his heart stopped and he hit the ground, Suguru's body revolted. The curses he contained began to rebel. She watched as many began to fester out of his mouth, before long, they ate their way out of his stomach. And yet, despite this, none of the curses left him. They started to gather around the body and became a very disturbing egg. "How interesting…" she said.

Since then, she has waited. At the same time continued on with her duties. She had just remembered she invited Yuuji and Suiryu to the heavenly realm in hopes of finding out where the dragons are breaking in. She has one area in mind since she has seen many enter but not leave.

Tiamat however, did not foresee what would happen in a matter of days. She was aware that Yua's life was in danger, yet, she had such faith in Satoru Gojo in keeping her safe.

Only looking back now, she realized her uncle was behind the attack. "He made certain that he wasn't directly involved so it wouldn't be declaring war. But he is working through another…" She was devastated to learn that Yua lost her children.

She arrived shortly after Yua was forced to give birth. Yet when she did, the children were barely alive and worst, the poison had an added affect. It was turning her children into curse objects.

"Take them to the heavenly realm" she ordered the old goat.

He merely nodded and did so. When the day after the attack occurred, the old goat came to her, as she was still observing Suguru. "The children have been brought to the heavenly realm?"

He nodded to her. "Indeed, they have been. I left them in the trust of Kitsune." He explained. "Great lady… if I may?"

The old goat sought her permission to speak his mind.

"You never need to ask that of me, I trust your words."

A smile came over his face as he sighed. "In truth, great lady… Ryomen Sukuna spoke of this before the incident… in fact, he somehow got one of my talismans I left strictly for the doctor to use…" he explained.

"What did he speak to you about?"

"That's the thing, he asked me, as a precaution, that if something happens to his child… or Yua's, to bring them to the heavenly realm."

Curious.

Does Sukuna know when one is within the heavenly realm, curse energy cannot generate? Nor can it take form or possess? Interesting.

"We have to find a proper method of putting Yua's children to rest…"

"Indeed, I will speak with Kitsune on the issue… but what of the Tooru?" He was worried for Yua, despite not knowing her all that well, the old goat felt terrible for her situation.

"We cannot do much more for her, the rest is on Yua and those around her." Tiamat said gently.

He sighed and nodded to this, but his attention shifted to the demonic looking egg. As if curses had fused themselves together, and their eyes continued to move about and watch the world around them. "Lady Tiamat… this is rather unordinary isn't it?"

"Indeed, and it is going to become even stranger still. Despite the fact that Suguru Geto is currently encased in curses, every so often, I see divine energy absorb into the egg."

"Did he receive…"

"Indeed…"

The old goat froze to this. "Lady Tiamat, your friend… they were…"

"I am aware, at the same time, what remained of my friend told me. They wanted to be used for this, and for this mortal only. Whether or not he pulls through is on him."

It took time for Suguru to turn, Lady Tiamat barely left his side. Since after all, she was concerned.

Out of all who have turned, this was the only one she feared of failing.

When 8 days passed after Suguru's egg forming, there was movement.

In fact, she watched the eyes of the curses look about in panic, then there was cracking… movement, and then…

A burst.

The screams of the curses followed as the egg turned to dust.

But he stood under his own power.

Lady Tiamat looked over Suguru, one eye had become black as night, the other, pure white. "Suguru?" she asked gently.

His body began to smolder until he was covered in black smoke. It stayed closed to him like clothing and yet moved as if it lived. He said nothing but his sights were on the domain.

"Where are you going?" she asked of him.

A low growl came from his throat. He began to leave without uttering a word.

At this point, Tiamat knew there could be an unknown danger. It's one thing to try and convince Yua to take a second husband, it's another to convince a dragon that they are not your mate! He bore a possessive look on his face, but that then changed to an urgent stare.

Picking up his pace, Suguru began to rush back to the domain, then, he went right to Yua's home.

Tiamat kept near by but out of sight. Suguru had gone into Yua's house and the first place he went to was Rook's room. Following him inside, she watched as he took Rook from his bed, then he held him like a child in his arms… before Rook vanished into the smoky clothing he wore!

"What… on earth did he just do?" She still sensed Rook, he was within Suguru by the way she sensed him, but… he went to the other room and did the same to Shin and Mochi!

When he obtained the children, he appeared a little more at peace before going down stairs. Suguru then made a little nest for himself in the living room. Gathering pillows and various cushions before topping it off with blankets, he made his hubble. When everything was to his liking. He took a seat, closed his eyes and appeared to be meditating.

"What… have you done?" she wondered.

He opened his eyes for a moment. "Hm?" at first, he appeared confused to where he was but then saw Lady Tiamat before him. "Oh… hi… wasn't I helping you with something?"

"Suguru, do you remember what has happened to you?"

He shook his head. "Not really, but I know something did. At the same time… I feel something horrible has happened to Yua and her family. Her children… I have never felt them so upset before… scared …" he said but took a deep cleansing breath. "They should be fine when I am done…"

This took her by surprise. "You are aware of your actions?" she questioned.

Suguru smiled and nodded. "I got lessons, they were very informative. I need to be careful or I may do more harm than good. I am not rushing into this, but, I want Yua's children to feel safe again."

"You have no idea how much I appreciate this. Please do what you can to help them recover, at the same time…"

"I know what happened to Yua…" Suguru said gently. "Lady Tiamat, if I maybe so bold to ask. Why haven't we been given permission to kill Kenjaku?"

"At first, I knew there were various factors in place. Kenjaku is not one to risk everything on a single notion or plan. I have been watching him for a while and am aware that here is a binding vow in place. Yet, even if you destroyed his shell, even if you took out the main part of the sorcerer's technique… he's not completely dead and therefore can come back. He's worst than a curse object."

"You are trying to find all the threads he has out for himself that ensure his survival."

"Yes, if anything, I am starting to believe it is a mind, body and soul agreement. All three have to be destroyed at the same time," she explained. "At least, that is the theory I am working on. I never paid too much attention to this particular sorcerer before. But now… they have my FULL attention." She said and bore a wicked grin.

Suguru nodded. "I want revenge against him too, there are many of us who want such a thing… too bad he is but one sorcerer… unless there is a way to revive him after each time he dies!" Suguru laughed. "But if anything, I would leave him in a locked room with Yua and Chusi… let them destroy him however they please…"

"I will be certain to make that happen soon," Lady Tiamat decreed. "But now, we need to focus on recovering, Yua's health is the utmost important right now and same with Chusi… she is expecting."

Suguru jolted a little, he appeared shocked but nodded to what Lady Tiamat was saying. Don't just focus on Yua, but Chusi as well.

Suguru was about to speak when the front door opened suddenly. Sukuna wondered in yet, paused as he stared at Suguru and then Lady Tiamat.

"What's going on here? For that matter, what the hell happened to Shellboy?"

"I see Sukuna has his power back… huh… it's different than before… it's not as vile…"

"Tsk" he muttered. "I only got it back because Mother Tooru said I earned it…"

"Huh?" Suguru said.

"Another time, Ryomen, you can focus on Chusi, Suguru has the children well in hand here." Lady Tiamat said.

Sukuna peered at him but nodded. "Take good care of them, when they have calmed down, send them my way. We have much work to do…" he left as quickly as he came.

Tiamat was now curious. "Interesting…" she said.

"Lady Tiamat?"

"Don't be surprised if someone takes over teaching for a while…"
